You get Babbole and Lickety's clue list on one page (bonus) and as you enter a word it populates both lists at once. You can also tranfer from one list to another in one go if you choose to do that

did you hear that all my husband's fish, 300+ including some more than a foot long, got eaten by an errant heron in just 5 days?
he is so sad (not the heron, who is probably so fat that he can't fly any more)

he is stubborn and refuses to do so, wants to kill the heron instead. Part of the problem is that he has put elaborate plants around the pond
before the heron tells all his mates about the beaut new restaurant he has found!
I still think chicken wire wouldn't be obstrusive and he could cut it to fit around the plants. But what would happen to the waterlilies?
generally the herons here live in cultivated fields and eat mice and voles but this one got lucky!

actually, we have a bronze one in the living room, almost lifesize. It would be gorgeous on the pond!
Otherwise people put a raised wire round the edge because the heron tends to go in from the side.

We don't have fish in our pond ruby. Occasional wild ducks land there, after the tadpoles, but we yell at them and they go off. Masses of newts in the pond though :-)

Don't know a comet, but yes the fish will eat the tadpoles. Have never heard of buying tadpoles in the UK, and in any case you are not supposed to move tadpoles or frogs because of spreading disease. We were always told, if the conditions are right, the frogs will come. If they aren't right, then don't introduce them. It worked for us, the frogs came and spawned the first year we had the pond, and the newts just arrived by themselves as well (sorry, probably used thousands of words from the grid but would be difficult not to today).
what's the difference between a lizard and a newt? I'm too lazy to look it up in my reptile book

I do each square in turn, until I run out of words
I always start with K words, if necessary. Then, or otherwise, I fire away at all I see. Then I try and grey out tiles. And then I check my list for plurals and singulars, past tenses etc.
I do it differently for each grid depending how large or small

i have no idea who orders the books we carry. There are some i think shouldn't be printed as they are just a waste of paper, but free press and all that.
