Actually Sprite, his pain in the chest has gone (that is very good news) but he has an irritated hip so he is looking up foods to overcome arthritis - he doesn't want to get a hip replacement
I think he will have to eventually but he is ok at the moment and can try anything he wants I guess
am very glad the pain in his chest is gone!
So am I , but we will wait for the scan in August

Very much so sandy. I think it's the least populated county in England.. Very agricultural, beautiful scenery, very unspoilt, and not much known about :-)

We live in a village with one pub, no shop, a bus once a week. We have just over an acre here, which is quite a lot for England, but probably average for Shropshire. We are five miles from Ludlow and 5 miles from Tenbury Wells, both market towns.
that sounds lovely, we live not far out of perth on 8 acres -handy to everything but like living in the country
Land has a different meaning in Oz! So would you call that an acreage? Not a term we really use here.
I have a cousin who has a sheep station of 1 million acres LOL ours is called a hobby farm I guess
lol sandy! T has a cousin in Oz who used to have a sheep station near Sofala, NSW, which was nearly 400 acres, and we thought that was huge! Was a wonderful place but they have now retired to Gulgong.
the station is in very arid country and needs lot of land for each sheep- land in NSW is better quality as they have more water
although drought affects lots of Aus

They were having to conserve water drastically when we were there. We were impressed by the rain catching tanks and pumping arrangements. We are very careless of water in the UK. When people talk about a drought here, they don't know the meaning of the word! Means they can't water the lawn for a week or something. Huh!

we have water restrictions in perth - only allowed to water gardens with sprinklers three days a week- on our farm we have a water tank and a bore and no scheme water which means no water rates
I think as a country you are much more aware of conserving resources, what happens to your rubbish and so on, than we are. So many people here are so wasteful, not just with food, but with packaging. Chuck it away and someone else will do it!
the council here provides us with two wheelie bins-one for recycling and one for rubbish which makes people aware of recycling

I would like to be able to scroll down the entire chat log like we used to
barb -- basically, hitting Enter wouldnt add your message to the chog. there would be a button to click to do that -- thats the way it used to be...
the old version of the site, you didn't make your chat come up by hitting enter, you had to click on a button. so we didn't have all the accidental words in the chog.
cyber -- you can still do that if you click the "view entire chat log" button
*or if that is not possible increase the number of entries shown in the chat at one time

also, i pretty much don't use the "who's online" or "my friends" stuff, other than as a means to hide chat if i don't want to see clues.
I know eva, but we used to be able to see the entire log without having to bring up a different page
my friends is useful to find people in a hurry
(and the view entire chat log takes FOREVER to load! however, perhaps the site used to be slower when we could scroll through it all at any time.)
i do use "my friends" sometimes, but i have never found the "who's online" to be helpful -- knowing they are online frustrates me if they arent active in the chog!
I thinkso hurshy -- but surely double the current entries wouldn't be too much
when the chat is moving really quickly, like now, it is hard to keep up.
i think it would be very cool, though, if you could send like private messages to people... but then, thats taking babble away from being a game to being a whole socializing site...not sure thats what DrGod wants to do...
i just think, since so many of us leave ourselves logged in regardless, those tabs are sort of meaningless. let's say i go and it says atalante is online - great, but it doesn't help me, if she doesn't answer!

My mom was recuperating fairly well until she tripped over the dog and fractured her fibula. Then my shoulder has been acting up in the process, so it is very slow going over here.

I'm not familiar with that course Endorsement to teach reading ... a new requirement?
an endorsement is what our state calls it when you are fully qualified to teach a discipline. In my case, I will be endorsed for elementary (K-8), middle-level humanities (grades 4-9) and Reading (K-12)
She is in a cam walker .... and we had to be very stern coz she tries to take it off ... for 6 weeks to help heal. If she puts any weight on it she may need surgery. But it is really hard to help with nightly duties, coz I don't hear her blow the whistle, and she has been trying to do it herself. My sil has great ears though, but tiring for her when she works.

Hubby and I had our honeymoon in Australia in early June. It was perfect touristing weather but there weren't many beach days. We didn't mind though. We are more the hiking types than the sit on the beach types. We did go snorkeling on the great barrier reef though. That was spectacular!

The farthest west we got was Ayres Rock/Alice Springs. That was one of the highlights of our trip, after Sydney of course.

there are lots of words in there petit vaurien but if you need help, click on Lickety's Babble Clues that is printed in green close to the bottom. He gives you the first 2 letters of words and tells you how many letters are in each word. It speeds things up quite a bit when you get stuck.

No, it was an odd situation. The last bear-related death was over 20 years ago. A man who lived in the area, very bear wise, happened across a grizzly that was semi-tranquilized by researchers.

They had left him there to wake up, posted signs etc. The evidence suggests that the hiker thought it was dead and approached it while it was groggy.

he's a "springboard". which isn't a breed. He's half springer spaniel and half border collie

my aunt breeds welsh springers, and the facial markings are typical of welsh/english springers :)

his name is black. we saw one of his brothers and the brother was same markings but brown and white
