I've re-cooked apple jelly successfully, but I also add a wee bit more pectin when taking that unfortunate route.

Mom had sever Arthritis all my memory, and as kids we were her hands. We baked, cooked under her supervision from the time we could raech the counter. I remember thinking that I'd never be able to go by "feel". Now I do, lol. Things change.
Monday will be better, don't worry. It is doing too much in too short a time and having to participate in things that are not good for me. Some sacrifices to happiness for my kids and hubby, and to maintaining a good relationship with the people living in our street.

We had a black and white cat like that, called Puddy - a very approriate name as it turned out because he would eat for England. When we found our two tiny abandoned kittens, they used to climb into his basket and cuddle up to him.
Barnabas was a stray and very thin but heand got very fat when he ended up here. i used to think that he always thought that every meal he had might be his last. he ws very gentle with violet when she arrived as a 6-week old kitten

Puddy would eat everyone else's food then his own. The kittens we found were only about 4 weeks old, so when we had weaned them we put their special food in a cardboard box with holes cut in just their size to keep him out!

what worries me is that for us, and for many others like us, our choice was to wait until we were financially stable and start a family in our 40s... or have kids and be poor for a couple decades while careers caught up to paying living wage.

I chose to have my children before I was 30. Had my first child just after my 27th birthday and my second just before my 30th.

Now I'm glad I had kids early, too young and dumb, but they survived. But empty nesters by 45! And now have the $$ to enjoy it!

Then, when I was 52 and 'done with all that' I got a 14-year-old stepdaughter. full-time.
we won't be empty nesters by then... but soon enough. And hopefullly enough years between that and grandkids that we will be in the right financial state to help them out.
