She still is very pretty but her hair is white now.

lol, can get tu4 two ways, should count!
no she's not -- just very good at it
wow jilli you are older than flosey???
*just kidding*
yep, yogo ;)
lol, thanks, I think, ru
jilli is ageless yogo
amen to that ru
We cover so many ages and countries here yogo.
i have to go now
that we do, FMitch
hi FM! It's early for you!
goodnight yogo
mum is calling me inside to plan a camping trip in the holidays i might see you guys tomorrow....
ARRRG! DH's hogging the whole bed AND his CPAP mask is noisy tonight!
ok, have fun with camping plans
pfft - early *sigh* been up since 3 and it is now 7.
whats a cpap mask?
bye yogo
oh my, Nef...(thought you said CRAP mask)...
bye guys thanks for everything see you tomorrow....maybe
*poof*
*taking bets that FM goes to bed early again today*
one of those things that helps with breathing/snoring issues I think.
it is FM...I just didn't read it right the first time :)
I wish hubby had had one -- he might be alive now.
nef... try a plastic bag
lol pini
CPAP mask is used for sleep apnea. Many people have sleep apnea due to an upper airway obstruction; cause of a lot of people snoring
<<< doesn't snore
lucky mrs ruru!
ruru, following on from the earlier poetic theme - it went incredibly foggy about half an hour ago and now the sun is burning it off.
LOL, ruru. Don't think that there are times like this when the plastic bag might help
apnea - a great babble word that always catches me out.
I always miss it too, FM
glad I am not the only one :)
it's foggy now and fm's lack of sleep is heart wrenching.. the sun is destroying the fog and giving a drenching
Yeah, but I'm a nurse and have used that word many times in my work!
are there more men than women problem snorers?
sure jilli.. men have bigger noses
hubby complained that I did, but don't anymore!
*grin* Nef
I have a problem with snoring...
ruru is a poet and he didn't know it.
it's found in the "fluffier" body types, jilli
hi jellen
Hi, jilli
fluffier?
fluffier?
(fatter)
fluffier?
fluffy body types??
Nef is married to a goose
* giggle *
is that politically correct for overweight?
I've gained weight since I met Tim...I'm definitely fluffier than I used to be...
hubby wasn't fluffy but snored up a storm
That's where the ne in nef comes from
there are "fluffy" bodies and "puffy" bodies. Fluffy is fat; wehreas "puffy" is fluid
need 3 for NBT and bed
I'm happy to announce that I've shed 25 lbs of fluff.
bravo jilli
Oh well done jilli!!!!
ah, interesting, nef.
Good for you, jilli!
* lbs here. I am right behind you
hmmm, it could have been - I gained a lot of weight when I moved here but also lost (most of) it
*8*
flosey is tall and slender.
rurur: :-P
you didn't know me when I ballooned out jilli - I was FAT
but did lose it
<<< built like a linebacker
congrats, jilli ;)
that was me ru!
you look lovely in the photo flosey
jilli & flosey - you were a question in the Babble mastermind quiz I did yesterday morning as was ruru too.
I remember a picture of you that you posted, ruru -- you looked built like a tennis player -- unless it wasn't you.
thanks ru
that's an old picture jilli
yes jilli, I remember that photo
well, nice, anyway!
agree
do you still have hair on your head, ru?
oh sure..
jilli - that sounds like a yogo question
actually, sleep apnea is caused by the excess tissue in the soft palate of the back of the throat. That's more common in overweight people; but it can also be found in people of normal weight
<-- looking forward to meeting jilli and flosey later this summer (other babblers as gatherings permit)...must find my pillow now -- * poof *
nobody noticed my wedding picture :-(
i am not follically challenged yet
I did.. jilli'
you probably never will be then, ru
I did and you were lovely - can't imagine you with dark hair - I always pictured you as blonde
lots of grey coming in though now
I was never blonde, except for a streak I put in once.
Ah c'est la vie ruru
I went to bed once already and am having trouble keeping up.
My first grey hair appeared on my 30th birthday
I'll have to change my name to Greyruru.. and ask Greywoulf if that's okay
très distingué, ruru
woulf hasn't been here in ages1
*passes Nef a mug of coffee*
was thinking haven't seen her/him for long time
I need to go to bed. Good night all (again) I've decided I'm going to go turn on the light if I can't sleep because of DH. I'm tired and cranky
good night Nef, hope you can sleep now
I guess he has his hads fuller than usual. Hope you sleep well Nef.
hads?
fireworks unaided!
wtg gremlinn
YAY grem!!!
Congrats gremlin.
Greywolf was here a month or 2 ago; Hootowl was on abd he popped in to tell her something about family I think
*hands OK :)
But I am off to bed, now. <POOF>
that's 10 days in a row now
That took you a while grem!
*hires personal assistant for gremlin for next grid*
jolly good, grem!
over an hour is typical
fastest I managed was still over 30 minutes, I think
I was only teasing.
I think you have been faster than that grem
not going solo, ruru
I don't think I've entered a word in last 30 or so minutes
me too, flosey
I am done too so will bid you all adieu and get on with things in the garden. TTFN and Happy Babbling.
there's a ro7/8 combo in here that Enable doesn't have - rosacea(s)
I need une to lead me on.. to try harder..
so groggy with this cold...
no better jilli?
WOW FM!!!
bye FM
WTG
flosey, my colds are humungous. Not better, just reaching the peak.
so FM is done with nary a smirk.. while we are all striving for fireworks
so, Jilli, hopefully on the down side then
that stiff upper brit lip, y'know (re FM)
Guess getting up early works for babble words :) *poof*
well, I hope these words come more easily tomorrow morning!
me too..
I have 121 and am frozen
flosey, I figure 3 days arriving, 3 days there, 3 days going (if I'm lucky).
ok, jilli, fingers crossed
I have only 83 words! 101 to go, must get at least a few more tonight
I really want to be able to go to the garden party on Wednesday -- finished decorating my hat today.
8 du words and can't find one
I only have 60 words but will be at home tomorrow with lots of time.
oh, where's the garden party jilli
I can't find the ci words.
hints needed?
night all.. need to sleep.. big day tomorrow
would love to get at least one du word grem, please
all but one are dur- words
night ru, sweet sleep
it's an 80th birthday celebration for Patricia M
a few are short and monkey-able
ty grem
got one
actually, none are over 5 letters except a 6 which is a plural anyway
trying
how about the ci words?
ci6 du soleil
ah, lovely, please give her my best birthday wishes
I wanted cirrus, but no...
ci + consonant + a **** by any other name
shall do, flosey :)
tytyty grem
also, didn't have any ci words
so I was close, eh? ty grem
yep, cirrus and cirrous are phantoms
tried them
ah, they're coming, 87
77 here
89
you win, flo, lol!
lol, not racing, just feels good to finally start getting a few
I know you're not racing, lol ;)
brain-dead
just want to go once through Lickety -- at the T words now
that Q in the middle is ominous
ta da - half way
phantom sequoias
wtg flosey!
I have all the Qs
I have 1
yeah - but since it's in the middle, there are so many tiles that you have to look out for that could extend to strange words with Q in them
ah, got them
they're not hard
oh, I see, grem
as it turns out, 13 words that have Q but not at the start
a few close calls, like casque and racquet
well, I may find them tomorrow!
over halfway.
wtg jilli
have 4 with qu in middle
6
phant cotqueans?
I can't last much longer -- aching all over
hmmm, have never heard that word grem
ah jilli, hope you have a good sleep
looks like Shakespeare used it
"A man who busies himself with domestic matters traditionally regarded as suitable only for women."
I sing the Body ********
is that an el8 clue?
hi doug -- wish I could remember that line
if you have el5, it extends into 7,8,8,7,8,6
ty grem, looking
going to have a cup of tea
trod trot
would far rather coffee, but perhaps tea wiser
oh dear!
definitely time for bed!
<- strings yellow police tape around the PB-worthy crime scene
nothing to see here
move along, please
Indeed yes, grem
phant -- tortures
but thanks jilli, I didn't have either of those
yep - tried "torturic" when fishing for 8s earlier
well that's a good word for this grid, I think, jilli
that' what I thought, flo
related phants - tortoise, torturous, tortuous (which means twisted)
my skull is feeling numb
kettle's boiling, brb
have a nice cuppa, flosey
oh, and turquoise!
well, 100 words found is a good time to say byebye all and head for bed.
wd jilli, sweet sleep
so byebye all and *poof*
I'm dragging, at 98
May I please have a clue for el5-12? Thanks
co8 - a passageway in a building
el5 - how you get a person in office
Thanks so much gremlinn.
thanks have 3 from that so far
7 total in that combo
4
though they're not all directly related, I guess
5
el words finished
you got the slightly obscure el words from the corner E?
with gratitude, gram
yes
cool, nice job
oops, sorry, **grem
El Cid is in the grid! Well, El and Cid are in the grid. Does that count?
and some words appear in two different locations in the grid, I think they should count twice
No! Fail!
se8 almost appears twice - in fact I guessed it when looking to complete it one way which would have been a dead end
I was trying from the upper SE, and it in fact starts on the lower SE
must look
aha, got it right off the bat
hi im back
and another as well
2nd al4,4 pls
oh yeah, there are two se8s - you got both?
al4: plural of alcoholic drink
no, meant I got another word from the first 8
ahh
the second se8 I got was the word I got for fireworks
hmmm, maybe the tea is working
other one pls
change last letter, yogo1
hi again yogo
im not sure what to change it to though
hi flosey :)
no penalty in guessing
yogo, where are you, I'm guessing not in north america
no not in north america
thinking of the time zones, would be late here, so where?
i cant tell you :)
ok
Samoa?
no need, just curious
sorry but you are a stranger to me
:)
Maybe China.
true yogo, you must be careful online
:)
in babble, so far, we haven't had any problems, that I know of, but you do have to be careful
so any other clues for the al4,4
al + double vowel
al - another word for beers
not sure why you don't just try them all - there are only 8 ways to do it
other one pls
alea alec aled alee aleo aleq ales alet
it's one of those - guessing is just fine
well yogo, if you're anything like my 12 year old grandson, you're probably a wizz bang on computer
i will give you a clue to where i am....it starts with a.... :)
thanks got it....lol....i forgot to try that one gremlinn
as5,12 :)
a bit of a wizz bang but not as much as my brother
as + a small bed
whats a small bed...lol....sorry but any other clues
got the other se8
yogo, like you might use when camping?
m + as5 would be someone dressed in an animal suit at a ball game
hmmmmm sorry still cant get it :)
as + www.playbabble.**m + consonant
got it...lol...now i know what that clue was gremlinn
:)
it was good
as4,4 pls
a + another word for an ocean
se words finished
hi again all....can't sleep
hi again barb
hi again Barb
Barb , my icon is our horse at a show, but i scanned it (first time ever) and I dont know how to crop it LOL
it's all a great learning process
cool I will look at it
looks lovey sandy...I am not the good at doing the pictures either...some of mine don't load yet they are in the right format Oh well live and learn. What was the show you were at
have been to so many I couldn't tell you - this is an old photo of him in his younger days
I just had the horse chiropractor out to mine on friday...both had some shoulder issues
he is gorgeous
he used to do everything from dressage to jumping to eventing to handy pony
we use those too and a lady who does Bowen therapy
actually it is a form of pin point pressure that he uses on them...works great and you can see the pain leave their faces when he is working on them
thanks gremlinn i got it
my brown one must of had a bad injury to his shoulder before I got him...and after having such a wet spring he probably slipped in the mudd and strained it again
yogo, A+8 letters, home?
We used to get the horse chiropractors out on a regular basis when we were showing - I think horses of today are soft lol
whaa flosey
I like to think we have just learned more and more people realize it really does help
well, 58 words to go, I'm off to bed, goodnight all
be back in the morning
Chiropractic?
yes we had never heard of these things when we were young - we used to ride a lot bareback and ride all around our suburb and down themain street - we would never think of doing those sort of things now
yes gremlinn...he doesn't really crack any bones on them but by applying pressure in the right area he can shift muscles around
its 5.30 here and getting dark almost dinner time....yum....not sure what we're having tonight but i'm excited....probably left over lasagne from last night....thanks flosey and gremlinn....bye gremlinn....will u guys be back tomorrow....
bye flosey night
Massaging sounds good, but chiropractic itself was founded as junk science...just be careful about it.
gremlin - they feel the knotted muscles and sort of loosen them up
I'm here every day, yogo.
they stretch the horse in different directions as well
not really severe
kinesology actually gremlin...I just say chiropractic instead it is easier
yes he does sandy
Miles actually is the one who found I had been walking around with my shoulder out of place and put it back for me
cool see you tomorrow gremlinn
the Bowens lady also has a human clinic - I think she makes a fortune - I take it all with a grain of salt
Ah.
bye to who ever is leaving...think i missed something
bye guys thanks for all the help see you all tomorrow.... :)
I am going to put the rugs on as its getting cold here
bbl
bye sandy give them a pet for me
*poof*
bye barb
thought you had already left sandy bye again
sorry barb , I am back decided to rug in a little while = I am completely distracted today
have been helping husband to move bricks as he is brick paving
I am exhausted = moving bricks is hard work but good exercise
most of my days are like that sandy weren't you trying out another horse??? how is that working out?
the other horse is a neighbours horse which we are keeping for a while to keep scrimmy company till i buy another one
it is sooo thin it is like a rescue horse- I havent ridden it yet as I think it is too thin- it is starting to put on some weight tho - these racing people dont care about their horses
my first horse was a rescue horse...a Saddlebred and when I got him I always said he was at least 1000lbs under weight...which when you consider what they should way that is impossible...he was just skin over bones..very sad
was he the one that was eating the trees?
its a mare and she ate a tree the first night and hasn't since she has discovered the grass and my food
she seems quiet to handle
I am glad she is eating the right stuff now
so am I , I would hate to send her back yet
so are they just leasing her to you then?
when you fed that horse up was he still easy to handle and quiet?
He was...he use to like to hang his head over your shoulder...and give you kisses..he loved banana's...the kissed we kind of sticky after eating one LOL
no they are just lending her to me to give Scrimmy a companion, I can take her back whenever I want - she is a standard bred (a trotter) I would never want one as they are not good to ride - ok for pleasure riding tho and for what we want at the moment
their movement is crap
My son was only 3 when we got him and he use to climb up and sit on him. Tank knew it was a child and was always very careful...but we couldn't cross tie him or stall him or blanket him
Scrimmy is great with kids, we just let them ride him all over the property and he is bombproof
The lady that rescued Tank from the meat man mostly rescues standerdbreds. She loves them so much...but Tank had big big brown eyes that you just sank into when you looked
standardbreds are usually great to handle and nice to have around if they have been treated right
I wouldn't have called Tank bomb proof but he trusted us whole heartedly...and so knew we would never do anything to harm him
Hubby is falling alseep on the couch again...think I best get him off to bed and me too...yikes it is 120am here
now I hve to rug - see you later
bye sandy it was good talking with you
you too take care
GOOD MORNING EVERYBODY!
whoops, sorry, caps
Hi, ruby
hi jellen! how and you and your fiance doing?
I'm okay...Tim's not doing real well...
is it the anxiety?
Apparently, he has a tumor in his neck putting pressure on his spinal cord...having quite a bit of pain...
that is horrible? Is the pain manageable with meds?
I think so, but he doesn't like taking meds...
hi Jellen hi Ruby
Hi, lynxxx
hi guys
hi Sandy
jell, so sorry to hear that
jell, so sorry to hear that
jell, so sorry to hear that
poor scrimmy, is he a quarter horse?
hi lyn, have been looking at Abbot and you are right he does look like a large rat with that long face
lol
I hope they will be able to do surgery...will know soon...
Poor scrimmy? Scrimmy is not poor he is fat and spoilt and he is part quarter horse with a bit of arab
but he is only allowed to occupy a quarter of your icon
just on the neck Jellen, or on the liver too?
LOL I tried scanning for the first time and apparently i have to crop the photo but havent worked that one our yet
Both, lynxxx
so sorry about that Jell, hope it works out but that is hard to deal with
I know a
I was writing to you, jellen, and the doorbell rang. I'll try to write later (if you're around), but tell Tim that, if there are meds that work, there's no reason to suffer!!!!
Thanks, ruby...I'm trying to tell him that, too!1
I know a lot of people who feel that way about pain meds, but I don't understand suffering unnecessarily... *poof*
Clue please for co 8/50
co8 is a hallway
Thanks Jellen and finished!
Yay, gran!!!
congrats Gran!
back for a little while
while I'm off for a bit
hi and bye lynxx
as usual, first 50 are easy!
Still new at this game and was wondering if someone could help. I noticed that someone asked about co8. How do you know that there is a 'c' word with 8 letters in the puzzle?
we have some stats butterfly
you only know that if you consult a "list" which most people do. I don't, so rarely finish.
Im not sure how you can see them
Where do I find them?
hello sandy! one more week, yay! But the US lost last night :(
We're using Lickety's list...there's a link at the bottom of the page...
try googling Lickety's babble clues
I see, thank you!!!
ha good on Jellen
The Queen of the List has entered the room!! Morning everybody.
hello jellen, pls forgive me for the diswjointed words in the chog. Interruptions galore.
I have babble expert so its up already
Hi, Soodle
List queen, hello! Martina was just my last interruption!
Yes Ruby, I can hardly wait!!
Jellen, so sorry to hear that Tim is having a rough time. My best wishes to him.
I do as many as I can without the list then use the list to finish
I was soooo disappointed last night. Ghana wasn't even very good, but the US just didn't have what it needed
we can give you clues butterfly
This World Cup is really weird. I am being constantly amazed at who are being knocked out.
when you come on, read over the chog first. Frequently, you can find words that way (that's what lazy ruby does)
that is what even lazier Sandy does too
hahah, ruby wrote the book on lazy!
I regard that as a perfectly legitimate way of finding words!!!
Done that a few times!! Sometimes I get stuck and end up reading the blog!
what about consulting the scrabble dictionary? Is that considered cheating?
I only do it when I'm absolutely desperate to reach half!
then you get to know all our secrets, butterfly!
Ruby - I am a 'The End Justifies The Means' kinda gal!! Not just in Babble, either. LOL
yes, Soodle, I know what you mean!!!!
ROFL!!
best word (for me, at least): to6/21 very hot
(not me, lol lol)
Butterfly - a few Babble terms which bewildered me when I began:- NBT means no blank tiles, i.e, you have got at least one word from each of the letters in the grid. To Monkey is to put in random combinations of letters and come up with an acceptable word.
scots
and PB is penalty box, where I'm headed for typing in the wrong box!!
The PB, or Penalty Box is where you are sent if you inadvertantly put a word from the grid into the chat box......exactly as Ruby has just done....he he he
good morning all how many words on this very hot day
That would make me a big monkey!! Sometimes you never know what you night get out of it!
usually there is cake and coffee, later in the day martinis, and, occasionally, cabana boys!
184, sandra
Hi Sandra. 184 today.
Sometimes we have parties in the PB.
thanks. i have a long way to go
when ruby makes tons of mistakes
having those tall drinks with little umbrellas in them, around the pool
Thanks for scots ruby. He he he.
bad ruby :(
uh oh, time to go for lunch, out, TG! See you later
bye, ruby
Bye Ruby. See you later.
jellen, know we're thinking about you!
and praying for Tim!
Hannibal from Silence of the Lambs is in the grid today.
What's chog??
Chat Log!
Oh, this thing I'm talking on now?
Thats it!!
ok
Are you enjoying Babble, dofith?
Love it. But don't like all the words one gets from monkeying which are so obscure that my dictionary doesn't have them!
hello dofith, welcome to babble haven't seen you before and we love more aussies
www.morewords.com is the dictionary (essentially) used by this game.
Right now, I'm totally baffled by the million "to" words I've yet to find!
Hi sandy - where are you?
You will get there , it took me ages until i discovered how to use the lists and dictionary properly
I am in Perth
you?
I'm a friend of daykat - stayed with her last weekend and she showed me this damned game - like I don't already have enough ways to waste time?!
Ihave Babble Expert which someone emailed to me and that helps me
Perth? Me too!
Booragoon.
eh! We live in Banjup on 8 acres and have a house in Nedlands which we are selling
I was bought up in Applecross
Well, that should enable you to retire, if not already!
Cold at night now isn't it?
Bl...y freezing!
We are going to build a new house here am looking forward to it
The paddocks have been snowy white the last two mornings
We have a place in Falcon, sth of Mandurah, so I think we pass by Banjup, don't we?
Daykat's on a few acres, too.
Anyway, back to babbling.
you would we are off the freeway at Gibbs road -
is daykat from Perth?
Interesting politics right now, hey?
No, she's down south now.
yes I am trying to get the st7 .....soodles? any clues
Not there yet, Sandy....looking.
Soodles is a star at this game
You must be joking Queen of the List, me. Lol
If you're the queen , I am the lady in waiting
LOL., And btw, that was a back-handed compliment. I am frantically searching for the st7... No pressure, or anything......
I thought it could be that european desert but ....no
st7 the person who takes big steps but change the e for o
thanks lynx
Oh thank you Lynn. The pressure was getting to me.... I was breaking out in a sweat.
phew - can't have that
lol soods
Good Morning all - what a hot day! We have just come back from an abortive tennis match. My hubby's godson was due to play another league team but they didnt turn up.
hi Kazz
Hi Kazzer.
evening all :)
Hi Mr P.
hi MRP! how nice to see you!
hi lynxx!! lovely to see you too! long time! hi sobum!
How are you all? are you all healed?
nah! had an MRI and leg is still bloody broken!
I am not a good knitter (of broken bones!)
really! not the same issues as your arms I hope
not at all, I just don't heal well with breaks
so you are still in a cast?
no, have to see a surgeon on thursday... looks like another titanium implant!
another reason for the airport security to have a good laugh at me!
Hope it get done wuickly and you heal OK. How is Lickety, haven't seen him around, did he manage to find a job he likes?
*quickly
he is happy and jobbed!
Bless Lickety. Without him, I would be Babble-less.
he is very busy so don't get on here often. I haven't been around for the same reason! Jobless lickety = too much time working around the house!
Excellent! although I am sure he was more than handy to have around while you were laid up
all he wanted was me to be laid! hahaha!
The kids?
ROFL Mr P
lol, you haven't changed!
hehehe !!
kids are gorgeous as usual!!
hope everyone on your green grass is well!
brb, kids need to go sleep!
I better go and do stuff. Best wishes for a speedy recovery, Mr P. Bye everybody.
bye Soodle, have a good day
hey pres!!
bye all be back later - off to a bbq
have fun Kazz
Hi to my fellow babblers! How is everyone doing today
By the way, congratulations to all the finishers! YAY!
Does anyone have a clue for the te 8/45 word please
hi Min
te8 kind of compound - like broad**** which TV stations do
morning all!
hey, can someone help me? on the licketysplit website with 2 letter clues, what do the numbers mean after the 2 letters?
hi Dan
Hello dan2bit!How are you doing?Welcome to the grid
for example: el5,12
i looked all over the website for info, but couldnt see anything :S
hi Jason. That will be the point value. See the Help above for how that works
Hi JasonZe! How are you doing? Welcome to the grid!
thanks! :D
el5.12 5 letter word. double tile value of 6
will check now :)
el5/12 means that the word starts with el and it is 5 letters long and worth 12 points. Click on help above.
Thank you for the te 8/45 clue. I just found the word
I have been up since 5:30 with insomnia. I'll try to go back to sleep. I'll be back later to finish up hopefully.
there will be a te8 of the Tour de France starting on july 3
good afternoon all! Cool cursors, Minveryork

BBL
bfn lyn
hi all
hi jmc!
nice icon
thanks :) A babble inspired cursor for today. I toss him a banana every few seconds.
hmm that must be co**ly!
yeah and he isn't giving me words at the same rate
maybe you should withhold the banana untl he comes across!
now there's an idea!
why is it so hard for me to see words that start with vowels??
I don't know but it is something we share with a load of other babblers
I think it has to do with how we were taught to read with the system of changing the first letter of words -- which were never vowels
cat -- bat -- rat- hat--fat --etc
yes... that might certainly be a reason!
my boy is coming to Amsterdam in a few weeks
oh great! What is he going to do? Work or play?
he is spending a week in Amsterdam and/or Germany with a friend after he and I spend a couple of weeks in Kenya and Tanzania
I thought about spending some time there but the boy needs his time alone!
wow you guys get around! I hope he has a marvelous time. The weather is great atm, I hope it will hold.
and a great time for the two of you in Kenya etc as well :)
so i am staying for another week in Kenya
doesn't sound too bad, jmc. I heard it is really beautiful there.
well one of the things about his dad dying so young is we really understand that life is too short
it is suppose to be relatively cool while we are there too
dieing? dying? neither one looks right at this point *sigh*
a tough lesson :( But living life is the best we can do, I fully agree!
any help from your monkey on the two bottom Es and the U for nbt?
Good Morning jmc and Sprite!
hi nono!
hiya Nanette :)
for the U think bear
good morning/afternoon everyone
I know the lower corner e is el6 but just not getting anywhere
hi mom
middle bottom e, we have not long been el****** here!
and I think for the bottom E the EL words... think of voting for presidents
ur4/6 ur** acid
hi Mom
3 words from that
hi all
4 even, hi kallia
hi Kallia
and hi Mom!
{{Nono}} good morning Hi Kallia, thank you for the clues
hi kalia
{{Sprite}} hello and thanks for the clues
yvw!
oh yes, usual missing plurals lol
morning Jmc
ty nono and sprite
ah so do I! Or worse, having the plural but not the singular. I always check my list at the end and I always find some of those *blush*
lol what i hate is when i see one word while i am typing another and then think i have already typed it!
I say it's because my brain is working so fast it is onto the next word before I think about a plural :)
am always surprised when I find that I dont have the singular of something but do have the plural
*erects a speed limit sign for kallia*
oh yes! And at the end you just cannot find it, and then with help you do and think, arghhhh I found that one myself an hour ago!
oh yes jmc happens to me too.
LOL
hello all. good morning and afternoon!
exactly sprite and of course it is such an easy word always like ea** is a direction
hi Red
red!!!
hiya red :)
Good morning {{Red}} how are you?
hey there friends - not really here, as I have to leave for church in a mo, but just wanted to say that you all just MADE MY DAY -- I thought I was the only one who forgot plurals, or entered words I already had, etc. Thanks!!!!

hi Trif *hugs*
hi Trif
hi!!! jmc, your upcoming trip sounds so amazing! need someone to come along and take photos for you? (grin)
help with the lower corner E -- sorry if it was clued and I missed it
I get aggravated when a word can be made in different directions. I get my head wrapped around going in a certain direction and just can't see the words.
hugs back, sprite, my kindred spirit!
I am doing just fine Red
sorry trif my boy has that job!
rats
hope you have a wonderfult rip jmc!

which corner jmc?
I can do with help in my corner too!
yes, that poopy corner is keeping me from nbt too....
Oh Sprite, it is a hopeless cause for me. :-)
it is el6
well elrid is not a word.
I hate to go to church/work/wherever until I get nbt. I am perilously close to OCD about it
that is what was averred at the flip
never Mom, lol. We don't do hopeless.
el6/21 el + sounds like a thought or i*** but different vowel
I so want to make eldorado from there, but no
me too trif
oh me too Sprite
isn't doric a word? a type of columns or something?
and Torture from the t next to it
I tried it too Trif...
tried that too, Trif.
torturic should be something
it has a capital I think
morning all
crust is another big phantom for me, too

**Slap** had to go along the bottom for that e. Thank you nono

rats, thought I had nbt but still need e in upper left pls
easy with the slapping, Mom :) Nothing over a guppy.
its a direction peri
N S * W

oh i'm sorry nono. i can sympathize with that. you're even welcome to vent at me if you like.
Thanks nut. So far venting has been directed at my poor cat

we are delighted. She is a lovely girl
*hugs Nanette and nutty*

Hello, folks, another inscrutable assemblage of transcendental words.
BYe Mom
Sorry got distracted. Hi Babble

hi BR
hey BabbleRabble, happy to see you. How's the inner balance atm?
my inner child has complaints that I am trying to sort. Other than that I am rather unhinged.

quod

hi Pat
3 togo!
*to go

they are all te words
*to words
Who did that? So sorry peoples but got no chance of concentrating on the grid, which would be too long at 42 because of the England v Germany footie match. I doubt if I will be allowed to look away from the screen. I usually manage to fall asleep tho' and I dare anyone to wake me up.
do you have the ones that use the qu tile Jason?
they are all tor words...
thank you!
WOOOOOOOOOOOO

hi daykat
hello sprite
Hello, daykat. How's your onion?
Hi Kat
hi Daykat
herin:) Nono:)
my onion?
or your turnip, should you prefer
Dk is that your pet roo?
yes:)
raised her from a tiny joey
My cucumbers are well , how are your beetroots BR?
awww
Is it a roo or a wobbelly?
I have sent them off to obedience shoo
school
May they get a rosette!
She's a roo. Western Gray. HAve 2 tame ones who come to the back door every night for their wheetbix
awwwww. Little roo. Not a red ok
BR my Curly Kale is doing extremely well
Oh wow daykat!
Good effort, daykat!
and several wild-ish ones who come into the garden for food
cute
one has a joey whose head has just today popped out of the pouch - way cute
Having kangas coming into the garden would flatten everything but would sure be a sight!
fini! this was a fun grid!
Yah Nono
Congrats Nono!
they eat my roses:( but I love them so I forgive them
Congrats, NoNo
ty all.
Horses do that too Day
Kat do they make good pets once tamed?
they really arent ever completely tamed, but they are v affectionate
these come and go as they please and we are surrounded by bush and forest so they are completely free
I guess they know that they are safe with you
wouldnt cage them up
yes:)
and I get excited by the birds that visit the garden .. inmagine a kanga hopping by!!!!
i see it has a collar with a tag is that an id tag or for rabies shot?
We don't ahve rabies Nono. That is why there is so many restrictions on importing
an id tag and a waarning that she is someones's "pet" and please dont shoot her
ah I see
some idiots like to shoot roos for sport
they are such amazing critters
Daykat I can't see the point of that. Most roos and wild deer are too wormy to eat
I never tire of them
they feed them to their dogs:(
strictly for sport? or do they use the meat?
oh that is awful
ewww. and ewww and wrong and ewww
they are our National Emblem and we feed them to our dogs:((((
that is sad to say the least
farmers hate them cos they wreck the crops
fireflies at last. Bye all, have a good day/night
YAH SPRITE
congrats Sprite and bye
yay sprite!!!
i must leave too, happy babbling everyone
hello all
cheers Nono
hello Temple
bye Nanette
and hi and bye TOwl
hello kat
spritey - your icon animates! I;ve never seen one do that except n the profile
HI TO
By Nono
off to bed, nite all - see you tomorrow
gm TO, sprite, herin..et al..
afternoon/morning all, just getting ready for kick-off over here..
gm NB..
hiya, Ruru. I'm gonna have to try and stay out of the chat once the game starts, or I'll bore everyone to tears. England v Germany today.
good idea
greetings all
That should be a good game NB.
gm minski
morning, Minski :) Oh yes, very tense - personally my money is on Germany to win (traitor!)
Hey TO are you still here and greetings all.
Afternoon, FM :) hot enough for you??
did you nap today FM?
When we were visiting Down Under 8 years ago one of our tour guides told us that Kangas procreate at an amazing rate. A female can be pregnant, have a baby in her pouch and a few out of the pouch all at the same time. Imagine that.
phew - yes!!
not yet ruru, trying to stay up but and losing the battle :)
wow.. sounds like the octomom
what time is it there FMitch?
LOL ruru
Coming up to 3pm but I have been up since 3 am, hence rurus comment.
feels for FM..
ahha. Definitely naptime. Just set an alarm so you don't sleep too long and mess up your night's sleep.
It is quite a nice fuzzy feeling at the moment.
I bet
I am familiar with that
Think I will wait til after the match (not that I am going to watch it) and then crash for a few hours.
there are so many almost words in this grid it is driving me nuts!
It is a very enjoyable grid today Minsk.
I am waiting to hear when England scores a goal s the pub over the road will go manic when they do! Don't need a TV to let me know good news.
yes. I see that. I haven't listed yet and I usually list pretty early on. seeing if I can find the game on the tele brb
Back in a while.
10 minutes in. still no score.
FMitch, isn't it past your bedtime?
lol hello again science :)
bbs how is the grid today?
se 8, 45. I need the se 8,50 too
It is only mid afternoon here but I am heading off to do other things for a while. It was good to bump into you in the eraly hours this morning. It is a good and fun grid. *poof*
I found the se 8 ,... must have been blind.
and now the se 8 as well. I am at the Chicago airport in a rainstorm and I think I'm too tense to think clearly ... not enough coffee in me either.
Germany scored.
booo
go England!
anyone have the co 8?
co 8 - a hallway
a long room with lots of doors....
co 8 - another word for a long hallway
ty
thank you...speaking of blind
st 7 please
not there yet mudd..sorry
st + long hallway cor***** :-)
I am so stuck on my final words and my mind is blank

hello Crossy, Peri :)
good morning all, hi crossy, peri, rurur and NB
whoops...ruru
Hi, Jilly :) it's quiet in here today...everyone's watching England get destroyed by Germany
it's quiet here too..lol...but that's life in a rural Montana town!! :D
Stop it Nancy Boy. Please. Here is NOT the place.
i was up till 3 am with my new e-book reader;)) so im just getting going;)))
it's difficult not to feel the pain, Pat :(
wow, which one did you get?
lol Crossy! new toy, eh?
indeed nb:))) nery nice toy
very
You didn't happen to get the new iphone, did you? I hear it's very glitchy!
i had my brother get me the barnes and noble nook reader when he passed through the states
I understand. AGAIN!
I assume you aren't watching, then? ;)
we wil get one of those as well nb,but not out of the first release
help with du words, do not have any
ceas
very wise Crossy...hopefully they'll iron out the kinks. Currently, it cuts you off every time you hold it the wrong way
aaaaaaaaaaaasorry. asorry
just found 2 of the du words :)
i have learned the hard way nb;)
why can i not seem to remember to look for plurals ((pulling hair out))
lolo anyways 600,000 i-phones have been pre-ordered for our release day,i could not get one even if i wanted one from the first release
lol jilly always try to add es,ed,s,y and ies
LOL Crossy! People were waiting in line all day here - a few rather nerdy friends waited for ten hours!
lol nb,wife wanted her reader from first release 2 years ago,it cost 450 dollars,i got mine just now and it cost me 199
urrrgh, sorry to bring it up again Pat, but I don't know whether to be sad that England are playing so badly...or happy because I put money on Germany to win ;)
Wow, looks like Crossy knows best, huh ;)
not always nb,but i try
I've been thinking about an e-book reader but how does the Nook do in the sun?
it does fine jilly
and a kindle is a no go at this point jilly
trust crossy
and good news jilly they now have the nook on sale starting today for 150 or so
Hi all!
howdy science
hi, Science :)
good morning everyone
NM - how are things at home?
morning science (^_^)
howdy flosey
hi, Flosey!
I've lost all interest in the match. It all seems so familiar. Because I always lose bets I thought about putting a bet on for Germany to win. Kind of reverse insurance.
lol...patxxx
lol Pat! Good plan...I can't believe the ref STOLE our goal though. Fuming, just fuming!
i tried watching a few soccer games, but it was about as exciting as watching paint dry,the goalies bounce the ball back and forth to each other, the ref waves a few coloured bits of card and at the end of it all the score is 2-1 lol
Ty Jillyjill
brb
I held my breath when Rooney spoke to the linesman. In fact I buried my head. I thought NOOOOOOOOOOOO here we go down to 10 men! Damn 3-1 now. Boohoo x
lol too used to ice hockey i suppose,us canucks like our bloodshed on the ice and not in the stands;))
LOL Crossy...I don't normally watch 'em but I watched South Korea v Uruguay yesterday...and my poor countrymen lost ;) obviously I'm bad luck!
:((
pucks don't bounce off the forehead as readily as soccer balls
LOL Flosey! You should have seen our first goal, it might have been an accident. Bounced straight in off the guy's face.
lol
By the way Nancy Boy, that damn was really the anglo saxon word...
wow, NB - have never watched pro soccer
It's now 4-1
maybe if we gave them hockey sticks...hehe
And to add insult to injury, fat lump Heskey's been brought on
Are you watching, Movieman? It's painful.
hi mm, I haven't seen you in ages
Torturous more like
rofl crossy...THAT would be a sight....
Insult to injury was Lampard's non-goal!! This is way beyond insult to injury now :P
hi flosey
that word is almost in the grid
am struggling with last 3 to words
nothing finer that 2 players on the ice coming at each other at 100 miles an hour and they each weigh 220 pounds..you can hear the crunch :)
crossy, I think you must be a bit blood thirsty! ugh
ewww Crossy! in football ("soccer" ;)) one player goes down, bursts into tears and calls a foul...lol
lol, ours spit out a few teeth and swear revenge
ah, no tears on the ice, they get angry!
indeed, one blackhawk player lost 7 teeth in a stanley cup game
maybe that's why I'm watching; I quite like watching ugly men with superb legs go A over T and get a mouthful of grass ;)
call me sick, but they're SO smug they deserve it all.
wow.. then he could go on the Jerry Springer show Leslieann
dont say that too loud in the bars over there nb,i think you may be in the minority
If I was Cappello, I'd be resigning now
Never mind after the game
haha i don't think it's on anymore but it would be quite convenient, was taped here
LOL Movieman, the only things cheering me up are the close-ups of him cursing violently
Now I'll have to wait until I'm at least 36 to see England win the World Cup
it's still on...believe me.
lol movie man,our hockey team has not won the cup since 1967
lol Crossy...I was working whilst watching S. Korea play yesterday and I was the only one there wanting my boys to win! Of course, Uruguay slaughtered us.
http://bit.ly/9OLi4L
Our Football team hasn't won the World Cup since '66
"It's just missing teeth," Keith said through his bloodied and swollen mouth. "It's a long way from the heart."
lol
and the ladies just looove that gap-toothed smile
.. yeah.. crossy.. just ask David Letterman
I think I'll just watch Chelsea play from now on
Just club football and nothing else
oh I can't watch that, bores me to tears! WOW, did you see that save?!
Hello all!
lol,we grew up in a small northern town.the big game there was hockey both junior and the big boys.i did not see a full head of teeth till i moved out of the house and down south lol
Nancy Boy, do comb your hair.
Nancy Boy, do comb your hair.
stiddles!
And get something to eat. *fuss fuss*
well stiddles ,if he starts eating more than weeds, shrubs and moss,we might get some weight on him'
*grin* on my phone, sorry 'bout the repeat.
LOL Stid! I might never eat again, Germany are 4-1 to England!
my family over there will be losing their mind im sure
It' nice to see you smile! Could be disastrous! How much time left?
but nb, you bet on Germany, you could be rich!
Afternoon morning evening everyone! Hope all is well...
5 minutes! We won't save it ;) But yes, I did bet on Germany, so I'm a traitor to my country but..quids in.
my #1 son is on phone, see you all l8r!
how much 1000? 2000?
lol
Ah, there is a stidkid and time to get going on my day. ((Jilly)
if you win you can fly over and ill feed you right
LOL Crossy. More like £50
*special hugs for world cup watchers*
*poof*
Finished and before we had to board. Thanks for your help. I don't know when I'll be here again, but hopefully I'll be in a better frame of mind than my stressful day this time 'round.
yaaa for mudd!
wtg Mudd
congrats Mudd, have a good trip...

Thank you for asking and thinking of her with all you have on your mind. {{hugs}}

I'm a quiet babbler - but I love to help with a clue whenever I can :-)
btw m, when I first saw that tu 4, I thought automatically of you! *crosses eyes and slides into base*
i don't get that ur one...?
much appreciated april
el 6 and 7 combo is a plant commonly used in biology lab.
I've been here - mostly lurking - havent been in a chatty mood - keep losing it when people are nice to me - so be mean...
april is that your dog???
river what's wrong?
you know flosey, people not much younger than me wouldn't catch that reference...
I dont know basketball players by name. I am lsot on the st 7 clue
One order of abuse, coming up!
*keeps all choclit from River and turns back to hold private conversations* does that help?
st 7 sounds like a character in Lord of the Rings
HA! good one stid!
inge, basketball players are quite tall (usually) and thus when they walk, have a long st5
the true king from the LOTR
you guys are too funny - had pre-op visit and meeting with surgeon on Friday - wasnt great news - we have no choice to do it or he wont make it through another episode like 2 weeks ago
ur 7 and 8 ur plus round vowel plus de 4/5 (pl)
Yes, she's a schnoodle

oh boy. *worried mama look* that's really rough for all of you.
Geez, River, that sounds damn scarey. What do they have to do repair?

we're all pulling with you River
thanks geed
oops
thanks science!
the electrical system in his heart has gone haywire - they need to go in with a catheter and perform an ablation which is either freezing or burning tissue that is causing his electricals to go crazy. In doing that it may damage his AV node which will mean he will need a pacemaker or even a defribulator (sp?) Surgery is scheduled for July 6. It is an 8-10 hour procedure.
oh river. ((((((((((hugs))))))))))
oh wow! you are all on my prayer list!
On the other hand, this operation is done fairly regularly, so prognosis is good once it has been done.
Wow! Sending major comfort waves your way, River. At least he won't have some huge scar. Amazing what heart procedures they can do now.
do you have help during that time? someone making your meals and such??
oh River, thoughts and prayers with you
Best wishes to you and your family, River.
And a sucky way for your son to spend his summer vacation, I might add.
and stid, that is at least encouraging
It is but this is my kid the athlete who may not be able to do anything again - I dont care - he does - Doc asked if he could pick one sport what would it be - he said soccer - Doc shook his head
curt
go april go!
oops...this is why I'm a quiet babbler!!
LOL
but it's fun to hang out in the pb with our b peeps!
I will be staying with him at the hospital - husband can worry about meals
River, right now the focus needs to be on keeping him alive. He will be able to be active again, but for now his energy will be spent in healing.
And yes, the types of activity may need to change, but he won't be condemned to being a couch potato.
it has been a challenge the last couple weeks to keep him from running up and down the stairs never mind doing any sports
we had to take his baseball glove away when we caught him throwing - soccer ball is hidden - too easy to chase it around the yard - one more week to go....
first time every we have encouraged video games...lol
*sits (gently) on riverkid* I'll hold him down, river, you get the video game controller.
do you have lots of bored games??
cards.. does he like art?
Penpals? Facebook?
other kids are out of school.. does he have friends to come play quiet games? I'd get with other moms and have a rotation!
we have been playing marathon rummy - my eyes are going crossed. Yes we all vie for our time on computer - he will snatch it when I get off
I'd invest in a netbook!!!
Chain him to the computer and make him play Babble!!
or rent one or something..
he has a continuous monopoly game going with our neighbors kid
river -- I have a netbook, you can get one for just a little $ (a couple hundred $) and then he can use it from his bed while he recuperates...
LOL snap, m!
oh no! it's happening..we're finishing each other's sentences!!!
I warned you... :-D
will have to look into that and yes you guys are scary
I got my dd's netbook from a reputable ebay seller.. yeah cost right about 200
River, I met M yesterday to watch her daughter in a dance festival. Took my younger stidkid and his best friend who did a dance festival a couple years ago. We had a good time.

oh, okay. good. *looks out window to see sunshine* at least it's not here!
we had enough excitement last week,in a single day we had a earthquake 5.5 and 2 tornados
dull and overcast here
We had a HUGE thunder storm here on Thursday afternoon. Wind gusts up to 70 mph! Sheets of rain. Thunder, lightening! It was biblical!
st **** in the car last night.
flosey - sort of past tense of walking
oh Judi, that sounds scary. I don't do thunderstorms well.

st6. past tense of walked with big steps
tytyty m9
oh the plagues! gives me the heebie jeebies!
yw flosey
that earthquake was felt down here crossy
I heard about the quake, Crossy. Supposedly some people felt it here in Delaware. I'm highly skeptical.

I am getting better doren, the last year was not at all fun. Finally am in the process of getting stidkid some assistance with school needs for post-secondary (I have given up on the high school doing the right thing).
Otherwise, taking two classes this summer to finish the reading endorsement and looking ahead at the student teaching placement for the fall... so no rest for the wicked.
it's a shame that parents need to fight public schools to get help with people outside of the middle
ok back again. hello to those i missed

Hi Haz. My Lickety Add box is going mad!

Hello! What's your Lickety add box doing, Soodle?
they probably want one in spanish..
{{{{River}}}}}. How is Keith?
dont have the to's yet
he feels fine - tough keeping him down - is playing marathon monopoly with my neighbor (17 year old - great kid)
the to is a mechanical term, uses the high point letter, then pl and pt
hi ((soodle))
TO's - small hill , and use the high scoring tile.
to6 - Put an extra letter into the to5/16 the hat.
think of to****mada (sp?) in the Spanish inquisition
ah, should have counted the points. thanks joey
hardest part for me right now is stopping him from running
Is that good, River?
yvw, glad to help
no one expects the spanish inquisition1
he needs to stay calm until the procedure - Keith is an athlete and used to running every day doing something - he feels good because of meds - they are keeping everything going smoothly - so my challenge is to keep his mind occupied - yeah right....
Keeping an athletic 13 yr old's mind stimulated and occupied is a very big challenge. But I am very glad he is feeling good.
Hey all.
he was upset after the dr's visit on friday - by saturday morning he had forgotten everything the doc said - typical 13 year old boy
hey red
Hello,red.

Hiya red
A hallway?

River, how is you son?
river gave an update at 1:55, bichon
OK, saw it. Togh keeping him idle
just mentioned since i think she left. ok happy babbling all! *poof*
bichon how are you doing?
I'm home from my two weeks with grandkids in the Bay Area. The weather in CT really bites
I heard it was hotter than usual?
Yes, hot, humid and there was tornado in Bridgeport [about 40 miles from hee]
Hi, all. Been lurking as I watch the World Cup...
wow, tornados are not usual what I associate with connecticut!
No, but ocassionally we do get them.
Hello pam! howa re you?
OK, red! You?
alright...
stuck on the grid, but well...
Yes, well, glad finishing isn't my "gig"
today i think i should as I have time.
Oh, good!
pam your new profile pic is funny..
Thanks, red! I was going to ask about yours. I know Pentecost is the 7th sunday after easter and a harvest holiday. How do giraffes figure?
I forgot to change the word part of my thingy.
giraffes have no part that I am aware of in Pentecost.
Pentecost is a harvest holiday? I'm not hristian, but I thought it had a different significance.
OK, whew! Unless the continent of Africa figured in...
it would make it easier if you could upload the photo and change all in one swoop.
photo is form mother and baby animal day!
hurrah i think i hear thunder...
Pentecost is related to the Jewish holiday of Shavuot [which is related somehow to the harvest]
Pam knows the Jewish holidays well. I do not know any of the Hlidays well.
Not that I celebrate any holdays [except, maybe, the ones that involve eating]
It conincides with the harvest and is a feast day.... I don't know the ins and outs, bichon...
I never understood what is harvested in June besides strawberries
and figs... and i don't know what else in the lands where the old and new testaments were "born"
blueberries in Florida and watermelon...
cucumbers, peas, actually I guess a lot of summer garden produce, tomatoes.
Florida has blueberries?
Actually, in Israel, the seasons produce earlier crops
Florida has AWESOME blueberries. they are a special blend made to resist rot...
It surprised me too Bichon, I tend to think of blueberres as a Maine thing.
I always thought of blueberries as a more northern crop. Never seen Florida ones
MIchigan has great blueberries and the ones I ate in CA this year were okay [but not great]
they are really good though. Florida Strawberries also are fairly good.
We get Jersey blueberries here in June/July
Everything here is way early due to lots of warm weather
any clues for the E in the middle of the last row. I have the "Stay away or El**" nothing else.

jmc. is this purely vacation?
That is even better
right now i am reading myself to sleep nights about african religion
no dorens i am going to an international quaker womens meeting
and then I am checking out some quaker missions and the meeting with a board I am on
what a great place though... and you are luck to have your son (the fabulous photographer). and it's tax deductible!
after that a safari and then to tanzania to see friends and then back to teach at the quaker theological college
most of it dorens -- i haven't figured out a way to deduct his share :-(
jmc it is going to be a nice trip. Bring lots of stickers for kids.
he will be with me for most of it I mean
we have been told not to bring presents because we are representing the quakers and that tends to cause in fighting
sounds like a life's dream
but i am bringing a suitcase of books for the quaker schools and lots of aspirin for the hospital
Ahhhh, I always had some, but then again, I tended to be poking and prodding at the children a lot...it actually will be easier without sweeties etc.
i think it will be cool

I'm back again after helping DH with his shower. AND giving him his meds and shot. And helping solve his sight problems
sorry I wandered off, learning to create and use a database to help with my research later on this year...
hey Nef. Is he doing any better?
hello friends.
I mean, with his walking...
YAY dobie (btw)
hey trifioso
right now he's doing terrible. 2 more falls the last 2 days; and we have to go out of town MON for a funeral 6 hours away on Tues and then come back that day
have we had any word from river dance today?
Heat and humidity make the MS symptoms much worse. I keep reminding him of that; and I'm hoping that's all itis
oh dear, Nef. MUST you go out of town?
I mean... that is a very long trip even for a person who is not dealing with physical problems.
Is there a library or mall or some place he/you could go to get out of the heat?
he only has 4 cousins; and this is the other male cousins' wife. He used to go and spend summers up there working on their farm. So yes, this IS a must.
I don't know trifioso... I know I saw her some point last night/early this morning.
I see Nef. Well, then yes it must.
we have A/C both in our house and in the car. I'm taking his "Aunt Jean" (the one who broke both wrists last year) along too
thanks stid.
good idea, then you will have some company.
how are you today trifioso
Trifi, how' is her son? Have you heard anything?
Hi, stid and Trif...just changed computers...
I haven't heard anything since two days ago, when they were arranging his surgery schedule and meeting with doctors and all. that poor thing.....
hey there jellen! what's the countdown today?
I think she was on earlier today ..
Countdown?
hey there my dear tor
what I know is the surgery is for July 6, and probably will last most of the day.
today is tertiare
hey tor
tertiares birthday! 11 years old, in the blink of an eye....
How are you, Trifs?
just fine, thanks.
how are you?
happy bday trifioso
lol, stid, no extras thanks! just tertiare today....mine is in september
but it was a lovely morning, the day she was born....
Pigging out on ceviche ..
Hi to my fellow babblers! How is everyone doing tonight?
hello min!!!! how are you?
Hi, Min
hey Min!
how nice to see you!
Heya Min
Does anyone know how to open a separate window using a Macintosh? I am on my mother's mac and I want to open Lickety's List in another window. I really hate Macintoshes
Sorry, Min...haven't a clue...
I think it is pretty much the same, min....tech support is unfortunately sleeping, so I can't ask him....
try looking under the file menu up at the top left. is "new window" an option?
New window did it. Thank you Trifioso. Now I can use list.
Sorry, Min. I was off doing something with DH. I'm glad Trifi could help
I LOVE my Mac!
I hate not being able to right click. I have to go to "edit".
for what?
What do you right click for? MAybe I can help with that?
glad to know that worked, min! I am falling asleep here, so not getting much chogging or word finding done....
I wanted to copy & paste words into Lickety but could not right click.I had to go to "edit" to copy & paste my words.
hello 71 to go
Hi, harp
Also, I have to keep on clicking the mouse to scroll down.
min, there's a keyboard shortcut for that, think it works on a mac too
Min, to copy, use the "open apple" button and the "C" at the same time (the "Open apple" button is the one right next to the space bar)
Hello harpjane! How are you doing? Welcome to the grid!
Then use the "open apple" button and the "V" key to paste
and there should be a scroll bar on the side so it will scroll easier too
I already copy&pasted the words into Lickety, but thanks!
I'm good Min, kind of overdid it in the housework department today, if that's possible!
co 8/50??
hallway sammys
co8 is a passageway in a motel, or on a ship
co8 is a hallway
One good thing about this Macintosh is it drops the words down into Lickety's list a lot quicker than my computer.
Oh, harp! Come do my house then! I'm so far behind that I can't imagine catching up
thanks jellen
co 8/50 is like a long hallway sammsmom and hello there
well, my brain is too soggy to go on, bye bye and night night
Bye, Gwen
Gwen; you said what I was feeling just now. Good night everybody Happy Babbling!
Goodbye Book Doctor Gwen! I'll see you tomorrow maybe
G'night, Nef...
Goodbye Nef! I will see you tomorrow in the chog maybe.

hi dc
oh, cool, you got to meet m9
yes! we had a great time, seain
is the last se8 a compound word?
both se8 words are compounds
yes it is harpjane
Thanks, then I'll save it for last\
second se8, besides S, uses only the first five letters of the alphabet
I saved it for last, literally.
(had to monkey it)
ty, grem :)
tom texted me asking if he'd left his wallet. I texted back that he'd stuck it in his back right pocket. Anyone else go through such with their spouse?
Tim drives me crazy because he frequently forgets his wallet and never puts it in the same place...
yeah, i keep explaining that if he'd put stuff in same place, like i do, he'd be able to find it. sigh
Hubby thinks I would lose my head if it were not attached
I've done worse - I've searched for things I've had in my FRONT pocket.
I would lose the kids if they didn't insist on coming home...

this is news???
was feeling terrible last night, slept until 1 pm today, now feeling better but still a bit coldy.
I stayed up all night, then slept from 1 pm to 5 pm.
rest does wonders for healing
how can you get away with that, grem?
I guess so, dc!
It's legal where I live.
Like your cursor jillibus! I also did not know that so many different ones existed either. By the way, what's MWSnap?
it's still only 4 hours sleep, grem!
phantom cursor - inspiration for the theme?
I'll make it up tonight, jilli.
MWSnap is a little program sprite told me about which captures whatever you want from a web page. I think you can google it, and it's free.
How many words today?
it's a useful little program, jilli
184, godthaab
Thanks.
you have it too, dc?
186, since I'm counting rosacea(s) whether Enable does or not!
I'm with you there, gremlin, lol!
Does it take up alot of space on computer after download
I don't think so, min.
With hard drive capacities these days, it's been a LONG time since I've worried about disk space.
I guess, because I don't tend to save a lot of whole movies.
Minveryork, here's the website for MWSnap downloads:
http://tinyurl.com/yfkzmmv
It's 643.33K

I am done! I have fireworks! The tu6/30 was my last word
Yahoo, Min!!!
Congrats, Min. Please copy the tinyurl, because if you just google MWSnap you get a site about snap fasteners!
I'll probably ask you for the tinyurl again when I get home
going to get the next icon -- the theme is Flowers (it's Flower Monday as usual)
lol, that's what I got jilli, and Internet Explorer wouldn't let me download it so went through Firefox and got it
Min, maybe you could google MWSnap downloads -- that would get you to the right site.
Oh no,I got internet explorer.I may have a problem then.
Hi, flosey
I won't remember the tinyurl when you get home!
Hello flosey! How are you doing? Welcome to the chat log
