this version of enable is now 10 years out of date. Its been updated 3 times since then. I vote for the SOWPODS dictionary, which is the official Scrabble one.
but the grid would fill the screen I would think, and you'd touch the letters. the chat log takes up half the screen really!

well, on the ipod at the moment, you can use babble through safari, but it's hard to chat and grid, you have to really do one or the other

well, most of the terriers would fit in size-wise, and would definitely have energy for going on jogs with you or doing agility, that sort of thing.
schnauzer might be a bit lower energy than something like a rat terrier for being indoor most of the time.
I like terriers...are Jack Russells too hyper?
boston terrier or pug would be a good choice, i think, if you can handle the snoring.

then start delaying opening the door a few minutes.
if he whines or barks, do NOT open the door. dogs are really weird, and the first time you open the door when he whines, he will learn that whining opens the door, even if you've opened it while he's quiet 5 dozen times before.
stand quietly out of sight until he pauses to take a breath; the instant he shuts up, open the door.
one of the best methods of house breaking a dog is to have leir lead tied to your belt. They will follow you around and if they make a motion to squat in the house, you have them there to pick up and take outside
gradually extend the amount of time the door is closed until he just is quiet in the kennel and waits for you to let him out.
I had one Dog love the Crate, but Teulu coudl not stand it after he had a miserable diarrhea episode once when I was at work...it sprayed out of the crate and all over the walls. Luckily he doen't need it now.
especially at first, always have something good in the kennel, every time you put them in.
a meal, or a treat or toy that they only ever get in the kennel
then pick that treat up when you let them out, and they don't get it back until the next time they're kenneled

teaching the dog that the kennel is a happy place can come in REALLY handy later--not just for kenneling while you're out of the house for several hours, but if you have to travel, they're less likely to get upset if they have their "den" along with them in the hotel room or at a strange house, and many boarding facilities will let you put it in the run with them if you ever have to board him.

tangentially, a really good thing to do with any dog is to get an emery board/nail file, and play with their toes every night. pick a time when the dog is sleepy and happy, and make it quiet low-stress.
Makes me want to get on petfinder.com right now!
Or you could just go over to the humane socienty.
hold the foot (do not let go if the dog pulls back, that teaches them to pull away) and reward calm behavior (not fussing or crying) with treats or petting (sometimes helps to have someone else with treats)

when they will let you hold the feet calmly, start filing the nails. you don't have to worry about pinching or cutting too close if the dog fusses, and if he gets his nose down or licks at it, he won't cut himself.
and it makes things MUCH easier when you do have to trim the nails.
same with their mouths .. you have to be able to take their food away without having them growl or bite

lessee. other things about little dogs. oh! teeth! assume that you will need to have them in to have a full dental cleaning annually. the farther away they are from looking like a coyote, the worse dental problems we expect.
brushing at home helps, too--your vet should have low-fluoride, flavored toothpastes to use.

there are lots of dental chews out there. avoid the nylabones, though; they are so hard that some dogs can fracture teeth on them.

you can find enzyme-infused rawhides, that kind of thing. none of it really replaces brushing though, any more than eating carrots replaces brushing for you :P
