I woke up because sadly, I am having some muscle pain from yesterdays running, so motrin and I will so go back to bed if it starts to work....no pain no gain, but wow.
I thought yesterday's was horrible.

it really just went on and on and on, I actually finished which surprised me.

I did a bit of both, long run, new shoes, and not good stretching after.
I found it frustrating that longer words didn't just grow out of shorter ones.

thanks red. I am doing 45 mins 5 days a week now, with Terra. But only walking, I cannot run. But I believe that walking is good exercise too.
I've been walking regularly for a long time, not always enough though! now I take long walks around the Heath nearly every day and walk to the tube station or supermarket and all that, rather than take a car!
but, I was running then after about 6 months of that.

Running is more strenuous, but both help build bone density, are a cardiac workout, and such. In the end apparently there is very little difference between the health benefits of running and walking briskly. Amazing, sort of annoyed me!
my grandparents walked. Every day, till deep into their 80's. They were amazingly fit.

Well, I am a bit obsessive and I acutally like running so in the end it doesnt matter. If they came out with a study that running was bad for you, I might still find a way to run...

from not being able to walk for more than 5 mins and having NO condition at all, to 45 mins a day and being limited only by pain and not by condition, I have come a long way and am proud.
I think sprite you are doing great, I remember not too long ago when you were very ill..
but when I hear you talk about running 16 miles in a few months, I am really admiring you!
No need. It is a wierd obsessive activity. and apparently it causes insomnia and pain!
yeah am doing well, and still getting better by tiny steps too. Sometimes I think the smaller the steps, the further they will take you eventually :)

Just lurking ... how is your husband? I believe he was ill?
he went to the hospital for apnoea testing, then they found a spot on his lung. So it was more of a scare than illness. The spot was nothing, MRI is clean, thank God. And the testing is done, results end of this month for the apnoea.

yeah we were very afraid. Very grateful it was nothing. Wow! Wtg, how does it feel?
Almost a year ago I gave up all candy, deserts and sugar - Dr. was concerned about diabetes. I used to drink 6-8 cups of tea each day, 2tsp. suga in each, and I expected to lose a mass of weight, but it didn't happen. Still, can't hurt to give up the sweet things.
true, sugar can be poisoning. Artificial sweeteners too, btw. Did you have hypoglycemia?
Christine, I've lost weight by cutting out sugar and booze and having half portions of regular meals I like, no deprivations, just less.
smart move, jilli. I like that 'diet'.
28 lbs gone so far. That's 12.7 kilos.

I'm an all-or-nothing type of person, so when he said to cut down on sugar, I just found it easier to cut out all sugar. I lost the first 23 lbs in a blink - about 6 weeks, then nothing for the next six months, now another 5lbs total.

It's taken me much longer to lose that 28 -- started last November.

We were really walloped, all over the country. I was a little girl, only 3 in 1940, but I remember the sound of the bombs. There were incendiary bombs, that dropped, and spread into several pieces, starting more fires. We were in the East End of London, but I know many places were bombed; I just hadn't heard of it happening in Ireland.

We went for a short time to the mountains in Wales, then my Dad had leave, so we went back to London, and toward the beginning of the war we went to my Dad's sister near Nottingham.

My sister in NZ has written what we remember (only 3 and 2 when war started), but also memories from older cousins. And an aunt who was in the Land Army, and a couple in the Services, So we have second-hand memories for the big picture, but we remember a lot of it.

kids that age are at a very high risk for suicide because they have two normal developmental issues: they are generally a bit impulsive, and they do nto have a huge bank of life experiences to rely on. ie: they have not had the experience always of going through a horrid time and it getting better....
it is also why they are at a high risk for car accidents: somewhat impulsive and lack of driving experience....
It is very frustrating to me.
my heart is just breaking for the parents...

and then I can see exactly where I am missing the words.. and put them in as I find them.

nah, its no big deal to not do a lot of weights the most important thing for me is the running.
i usually do my weight training before my treadmill (with a little mat work to protect my back thrown in the middle)
