but at least there is still some fruit and little tomatoes. However, all the figs fell off without ripening, second time this summer. Wrong weather and too far north, I guess
normal temps for this time of year here, no rain today, white clouds in a blue sky
probably, figs love warmth. My tiny tomatoes are finally ripening, but I think it is too late for them.
I had a lot of tomatoes this year but some years don't get any
I planted the fig tree in the most protected south-facing part of the garden, but the weather has been off-and-on too cold, I think
am still trying to learn how to 'farm' a little bit. The only things that really worked this year were the strawberries and the potatoes.
from one small cherry tomato plant, I've had 100's. From the bigger plants, many, but finished now
I planted strawberries for the first time this year, put in 12 tiny plants which seem to have "taken" but won't know 'til next year
yeah. Well, I guess I will learn. Maybe next year the tomatoes in the back yard, for more sun.
this is my first garden, but it's now 13 yrs old, so it's looking very good. The potager is sort of hidden away, fortunately, as it is the least successful part
lots of red and black currants, though, in June, and loads of blackberries
lol, the little bit I try to do is nothing compared to your garden. But it is a lot better than doing nothing. I want onions next year. And lettuce.
radishes are a good way to start; they happen fast and easily and are much better than what's in the stores
true, and my love likes eating them. Will keep that in mind as well.
BTW, when I say "I" planted this or that, that means I pointed where it should go. Not strong enough to do my own digging. LOL
And squash is lovely and you can eat the flowers
hehehe and wise enough to let others do the heavy stuff. I had squash this year, but not a single fruit. Beautiful flowers though.

all you need is a old dull chisel and a rubber mallet

I am glad I am getting practice teaching different types of classes -- the one where I was "scary" is actually more of a science class, but the others are all language arts. I "think" I have a handle on the language arts classes, but still working on the whole management of individuals thing.

i find that quite interesting to read
