2 liters a day isn't too much when you are detoxing. My personal trick is: drink a glass of water every time you go to the toilet.
Someone, it might've been my doctor, suggested drinking a glass of water for every two pounds -- another good reason to LOSE the excess weight.

it's odd i can read some sentences easily and muddle through more complex ones but speaking it is harder
I really didn't speak that well until we moved here. But the harder part was understanding
now I can watch movies and TV in French and only miss the jokes
I can read it, but not for pleasure the way I can with English
i would think reading for pleasure would be harder in a second language
my husband can do it but he can't (or won't) speak
