I banged my head on the corner of a cabinet earlier, bloody hair, possible concussion, and it moved my migrainey headache away to the left side of my head. Then the pork chop which I was too preoccupied (holding my head trying to stay upright) somehow exploded and covered the stove with burned pork :o/

Hi, ARB! I'm about to be certified for long-term sub in music, but since I need to work every day, I'm taking on just about anything. My preference is grades 6-12, and I 'm pretty good at math short of trig and calc. I've been volunteering with the HS orch , and the music director wrote a wonderful recommendation letter. It's really lifted my spirits to be, well, wanted! i'm chomping at the bit.

My son's home with me. He just got accepted into a voc rehab program. He loves older people, and is very kind and patient, so I think that's where's he'll end up working. He goes on a retreat/reunion with Nesiya in the Connnecticut Berkshires 12/27 thru 1/2.

Last night at a cocktail party I drank WAY too much and did a face plant into my sister's kitchen chair. I ended up with a huge goose egg on my forehead, and a pretty bad bruise on my chin. Highly embarrassing. I am never drinking again.

and google offers many free books

I can't make stuff for family pressies -- too much travel. But I'll take some (frozen) hard sauce this year in my suitcase -- in a plastic bag and it will be kept outdoors during the travel.

Why the halved income?
The present I've got this year that I am most happy about, aside from the tee-shirt I designed and had made for Beloved, is the bag of travel-sized stuff I've bought for my daughter. She's globe-trotting at the moment, and I think I've managed to cover most eventualities for most countries in that bag. So, wherever she's off to she can pick and choose from it before she goes.

Beloved and I are going to North Devon, Stepdaughter is going to Stoke to stay with her maternal grandparents, my son is going to The Netherlands to stay with his g/f and her family, and my daughter is moving back home to house and pet sit. If the weather allows. If it doesn't, we'll all be at home.

Our forecast isn't too good until mid-February, apparently. However, the disgraceful truth about why Britain came to a standstill due to a few inches of snow is due to councils penny-pinching in the years of mild winters we've had and not catching on to the fact that real winter weather is returning once more. The sooner they realise that, and get rid of all those stupid health and safety and somone-might-sue-you laws, the sooner we can all get back to normal and clear our pavements (sidewalks) and clear our roads, all neighbours together, so everyone can get to work.

Sadly, the moon is invisible here just now -- complete cloud cover. And the last two nights it's been clear with the almost-full moon in full glow.
friend in Oregon said it's cloudy there, too
Moon is visible here, so I'm definitely off to zzzzz now.
I hope for a glimpse through the clouds in a couple of hours. At least there's an overall glow in the dark sky.

its sooo bright...almost too bright to look at
