Last time I was in Toowoomba we had just towed a large trailer up that hill from Ipswich and you assume that is high ground and safe from floods but all the images on Tv are so devastating. We really feel for everyone there. We have houses being destroyed by fire on this side of the country.

One lady said that she looked across the road and the water was running down the gutter quiet fast and she went to the back of the office got a coffee and turned around walked to the front and the water was seeping into the building

4 tiles are the actual points, 5 tiles the points are doubled, 6 tiles they are tripled and so on

I asked this question earlier.... how long does it take numbers in the rankings to change ? I know mine went down when I didn't complete a grid, but I haven't missed finishing one, in well over 2 weeks.
it depends on the size of the grids i think--i never look at the rankings unless there is someone's profile i want to see

I think it also depends on how many others are playing too at the time that are around your ranking
I just look at my own, and only the right hand column... just for curiosity sake

One of my old schoolfriends here in UK has a few friends in Queensland. Two of them have had their homes washed away in the floods. For 'is not', Brummies might say 'ent', Black Country folks would say 'ay'. So, for 'he is not happy', Brummie would be 'E ent 'appy!' and Black Country would be 'Ee ay 'appy!'
As a posh Brummie, I would probably say, 'E isn't 'appy!' But I'd write or read out, 'He isn't happy'.

I spent a lot of my childhood in North Wales, but was surprised in my 30s whilst at a writers' conference when on a drunken evenig I decided to do one of my poems with a Welsh accent. A chap from South Wales picked out the exact village in North Wales my accent was from. I'm very proud I did the accent proud though!

My friend has trained her dogs in a different language to the regular training words. Dead set funny when a dog trainer hit her dog as she was being disobediant and the dog bit him and wouldn't let go. The man tried every single language for let go and nothing worked
