my mum used to have a ritual once a year with my children where they al;l ate a meal in reverse - dessert, main, starter

I dreamt that there were three porcelain dishes, all stacked together, falling to the left of me... the dishes went from small, medium to large, and the large dishes where all from my collection of my serving dishes. the other porcelain I didn't recognise, but they always fell to my left in lots of three
I was able to put out my left hand or foot to try and stop them smashing to the floor, so they would hit the floor, but not full force.... my hand or foot (left, which are broken) would stop the full impact
each time i tried to rescue my serving dishes, the small and medium ones (that I have no connection to) would be fine, but the large dishes would break.... just one piece would break off... and these are very precious serving dishes to me.... wedding presents etc.
only one piece would break off, and I kept thinking "I can repair that and glue it back together". But the dishes kept on falling and to my left... to my hand and foot that are broken.
any ideas of how to interpret this dream??

I remember once throwing a glass at my husband, and it bounced off him and broke... I felt awful!! Now, if I do throw a glass (very rare) , I throw it in the opposite direction of where he is standing and it makes me feel powerful without hurting my darling.

I think your dream just means you are having a shift in what you really need to be caring about and dishes are not one of them. they can be replaced or not in your life, who really cares about dishes with what you have going on? you are incredable the way you care for your family and the battle you are personally facing. Screw the friggin dishes.

theyre not quite sure whats wrong with him, so running a battery of tests. he had gone in on friday, and they sent him home, but mom said he deteriorated so quickly, so she called the ambulance to take him back yesterday.

she said he just hadnt looked well for a while, so he had gone into doctors office last week to get a work-up. went in friday for blood test results, and things were just out of whack, which is when doctor sent him to hospital. hospital sent him home with meds, which didnt seem to do much.
it is tough to have something wrong that needs to be dealt with, but I think it is much tougher not to know what the problem is. My thoughts are with you and your family, eva.
saturday morning, getting out of bed, he fell, and mom had to have neighbors help him up. she said he was mostly a zombie for the rest of the day. couldnt stand or walk, and speech was all off. same thing sunday. doctors had said he was dehydrated, so she was sure to give him lots of fluids, but it seems he has a bunch of other issues too. hopeing whatever it is isnt too serious and is treatable...

i would assume so, crossy. they are checking pretty much everything. his ammonia level is super-high, and that affects your liver -- and being a "recovering" alcoholic, his liver her already been rather abused. they have also checked his different vitamin levels, and they are all off too...
my father had most of those symtoms due to a massive drop in his thamin and was what they call in confabulation" for 2 months
my dad is/was a chronic alcoholic
there were times he did not even know my name..all your symtoms just reminded me of it
and my da is also diabetic,so that just made things worse

dad is also bipolar, manic-depressive, and mom said he has really just slipped into a funk lately. its obvious to any of us. he just doesnt DO anything anymore. if shes out, he cant even be bothered to make himself something to eat -- and he used to be the gourmet cook of the family. he will go days without eating, if she doesnt make him something, and all he does it sit there reading his paper with a cigarette and a drink.

ah, yes, "now and then" is not a good idea for an alcoholic - it is a pernicious disease.
i will share this with you babble buddies,they found my dad,alone in his apt,in a semi-coma after a week drinking binge and another week laying there not eating or doing anything else.he was close to death when they found him..you can drink,and drink and one day it will happen and those thiamin levels go out of whack and the damage is only partially reversable

his main reason for abusing alcohol was his job. he had been sober for 15+ years and retired about 10 years ago. so after he retired, mom figured there wouldnt be much harm in the occasional drink. i was very uncomfortable with it, be he seemed to do fine with it. but these years later, i see i was right to be concerned...
did you guys know that the distillers used to add thiamin to spirits,but the govt said no more as it encourages heavy drinking?

not really sure. they are doing lots of tests to figure out exactly what the underlying problem is. he had previously gotten a work-up at the doctor, and on friday, when they got blood test results back, his ammonia was extremely high, so doctor sent him to hospital. hospital sent him home with meds, but he got worse over the weekend. couldnt stand/walk, couldnt speak clearly. yesterday mom had ambulance take him back to hospital. they ruled out a stroke, but all of his bloodwork is off.
High ammonia could be a liver problem, metabolic problem, poisoning.
id guess liver problem -- hes a "recovering" alcoholic. and sadly, these days, all he drinks is alcohol.
Then that's the problem. Probably cirrhotic liver.
Kidney function is OK?
not sure. mom hasnt mentioned it, but i think shes getting SO MUCH info, she cant report it all. friday, they said he was extremely dehydrated (no shock there) so i wouldnt be surprised is there were kidney issues too

I watched the American Memorial service, it was beautiful, but there were many returned soldiers, etc. sitting in front rows, missing limbs, etc.

it is the same here flosey. they have a long recovery and have to come to terms with not being the person they were before, and what really gets me is that the government tells them to go to war but doesn't pay for everything afterwards. alot of places need charity donations to give out brave men and women the care they need and deserve

if a soldier dies and they were married and live in married quarters the wife has so many weeks before she has to move out. i think that is disgusting! she is grieving and has to look for alternate housing quickly!

I did not accomplish the fe 4/7 of finishing grid, but I did reach my goal of getting half the words and I got 82 words le 4/7. Now I will re 6/18 a story of clues. back again. hi all. just seen on the news that we have had the driest april for 100 years. farmers are saying that they won't have enough food to feed their animals as their crops aren't growing
oh great, amd they've just said that food prices will go up even more because of it!! happy times!

they take out what is know at planing date insurance..they MUST get it in within the next week or so

so we basically ran the farm for food,then added a second job for mortgage and bills etc

i looked after a hamster at high school during the holidays and my mam and dad went out for the night, so me and my brother got it out of the cage. it was a big ginger hamster. it was running around the lounge floor and then i picked it up and put it on my lap, it then disappeared down the side of the armchair i was sitting in and ended up at the bottom of it. my brother and i had to cut a big slit in the lining to get it out. the only problem is, it was a brand new suite my mam and dad had just bout 2 days earlier. we never did tell them. well i di when i was 35, as i wasn't going to get a smack then lol
