yeah an MD i knew who was into holistic and alternative stuff turned me on to zinc and i was like why are other doctors not on the zinc bandwagon??? but i guess it is more popular now.

It used to be pretty nasty stuff, gritty and metallic tasting. But now they have all those tasty lozenges.
diff people react differently though, some find vit c hugely effective, whereas i never found it much help
zinc nose sprays can be dangerous - people have completely lost their sense of smell
oh the snoring!!!!!
I never travel without zinc lozenges in my little first aid baggie. Also, real sudafed, in case I have serious congestion during the flight.

sometime midcentury, all the victorian touches went out of style and people carpeted their homes, took out the stained glass windows, and got rid of the ornate details that were out of fashion. but historical preservation did come back eventually.

for christmas I had mary, joseph and christ with the northern star over them. that was it. it took 4 min to put up and 4 to put away. My neighbors are still crawling over the roofs to take the lights down

i am feeling... ok at the moment. it helped to read on a website and find that other people do just as bad if not worse. am a bit nervous because they confirmed what the doctor said about it getting worse again before it really gets better - turns out that is cause it hurts when the scabs come off.
but i do hope scrabbler turns up as i have a related but sort of not related question.
jes might be able to help too, hurshy, she is a vet but many of the issues are similar (and she speaks pretty much the same language :-)

i'm still not a fan of codeine and this whole "as soon as my head starts to feel normal it's time to take it again" thing but am trying to remember it's temporary.

well this is the thing i realized that i think the weirdness may be more due to NOT taking a med i was already on rather than the codeine itself and i kinda want to get off that med anyway so am now wondering if i ought to go back and taper off or just go with it, since i was on a low dose anyway.
hey but do not worry this is the comforting thing i discovered last night, i'm not SUPPOSED to be better yet, i'm doing better than a lot of people at this point, so it's not like something is going awry really.

i have been on low dose (.5 mg) clonazepam for number of years, prescribed for insomnia. nobody ever mentioned that after 9 weeks it ceases to work so i guess i've been placeboing it up for years.

Narcotics/opiates (codeine) may be causing the issue. Did you stop the clon? Withdrawal is a problem.

New Year's tradition in my house. Use it or don't. Place a silver (or mostly silver) coin by your front door. Give it to the first visitor you get in the New Year. They are then to keep it and pass it on to their first visitor in the coming New Year. This makes for some fun stories if you keep it going.

Fantastically even though they got their entire annual rainfall that afternoon (15 mm) - lunch was outside, then wedding was inside, and it was great.

very nice,i went to a wedding once that had a hippie theme,outside with the flowers and laurrels in the ladies hair sandals etc,well it started raining,but they had just had the first kiss as a married couple and there was a tent with the sides up for the live music..so we danced in the warm summer rain for an hour or so:).then home to change then on to the reception hall for booze and food..best wedding i have ever been to

Here is my LAST story of clues for the year 2011......
I felt like such an ai 7/36 doing the puzzle today, but I finally finished so here is a story filled with hi4/5s. I hope to be able to stay awake to watch the ball drop which will be ai 6/24 at midnight. I wonder who first thought of the id4/5 of dropping a ball on New Year's Eve in Ti4/5s Square in NY. I remember the first time I watched the ball drop, I was aw 4/9 by all the lights the ball em4/5ted. Now it's a struggle to stay awake. This year, however, I bought some nice party it 4/5s that will help me stay awake. I also went to the food ma 4/5 and got some ingredients. I ma 4/5 some nice appetizers to eat all night. I will be drinking apple ma 7/32s as I ri 4/6 in the new year. I wonder who does the hi6/27 for the singers that perform every year.I never like the singers they hire. This year Lady Gaga will be singing. I think she always looks like a ho4/5. I am ir5/14 hubby by not sharing computer. He's doing his usual wh7/56. I'm going to give him some laptop ti 4/5.
