I used to work for newspapers helping reporters. But those jobs are very scarce. I'm looking at corporations that need legal or internet work.

I don't enough about computers. There are many "special libraries" in this area, like law firms, academic libraries, medical libraries etc. It's a matter of finding a job that has training. Most companies don't have training anymore.
I meant, the hardware of computers. I know how to use databases of documents, newspapers, magazines, websites.

It's my experience that I have going for me right now. I worked at the Wall Street Journal until I was laid off. I have several published article credits. But the competition for jobs in the NYC area is difficult because there are many librarians/researchers here without jobs. i did work at a public library but that experience showed me that public libraries are not the best place for me. I'm not a customer service person--it took me months to learn how to use the register to make change for fines, photocopiers, etc.

on the mend, nef. a bit of a kerfuffle with some diverticulitis and an abscess. skirted by surgery by a hair, iv antibiotics for a few days and oral meds for 10 days - almost as good as new
have never been in the hospital for an illness (just for the children's births) - not something i'd want to do on a regular basis

i suspect that no one knows a diabetic's needs better than the diabetic (when they're compliant diabetics) - i was appalled that they almost forced me to take insulin when i was on the verge of a low (i had to 'formally refuse' treatment)

Cavaliers are known to have heart problems later in life.
Ginger either had a stroke or was poisoned by something when she had her at the lake in July. She's lost part of her hearing and some residuals from the stroke
But no heart problems (so far)

My friend even took Ginger to the U of MN specialty vet center and they were the ones who found the Lyme's disease and said she may have had a stroke.
consequently, they always go to Florida.

No, the Lyme disease was just an incidental finding while they were finding what caused the other problems.
T and partner and dog are presently living in a hotel while their house is being remodeled. T is quite tired of the whole thing.

BR, i have 2 very dear friends who are like you, and one thing i cannot stand is how some well-intentioned peeps tell them , that all they have to do is this or that...how can they, when it is a major decision to get out of bed each morning. sometimes i could scream with frustration.
I have been to at least 15 different professionals and tried over twenty different medications .... some of the therapists have walked out in the middle of a session telling me I do not have a personality conducive to therapy ... and the psychiatrists tell me I can stop the medications because the placebo effect is at least as great as the chemicals.
but i don't know the first thing about it. i just know that too often one is saddled with a diagnosis that is incorrect.
