Congrats medusa
thanks
yay, medusa!!!
right i need sleep! getting headache and cant concentrate! bye all
Sorry crayola - don't have it!
okay, thanks liz
I have it, let's see... how to clue it...
te5: No way I can think of to clue this phoentically. Dictionary.com describes it as 'the dorsal surface of a body of an arthropod'. Thats the best I can do. Google it.
Yikes!
the bull's eye is in the center of the t****t, switch the vowels around, don't use the last t.
Ty rbud
thanks for the definition, who'da guessed, lol!
got it, thanks rbud!
Good clue :)
and thanks for the definition dachef
Thanks from me too!
I'm sure I can work that into everyday conversation somehow... yeah, sure... ;p
amazing the things that words are actually needed for...
Lol
morning all. What a grid! British rhyming slang, Hungarian, Russian (dead-end street), Italian, and a couple of Babblets too. and coins. all is well with the world.
bye all
hello, is anybody there?
Hello, Ruby..if you are still here..just got here myself :-)
gooooooooooood morning fellow babblers xxx could sum1 tell me how many words today please? xxx
Hello, Worzel..we have 122 words today.
ty zz xxx
yw
good morning all!
Hello, Sprite.
hey zooz!
I have just popped back from Iron Sudoku..very easy grid there today.
Ks killed. Yay!
looks like it, indeed
I only have 3 of the Ks at the mo.
I always start with them to get them out of the way.
Oh yes..you are not keen on the Ks.
I kate them with a kengeange
For me it is the 'i' that i am not too good at finding.
LOL..what are you like..hehe
:D
And that U on the top row is being evasive too.
hah *smig* I have 2 i's already greyed out!
LOL
I have 4,4,6..need one more.
am still in the random typing words phase, but will join you shortly in the more organised search
ah, that U. Female organs.
Got it..thank you.
yvw :)
Also have all the 'i's too.
good job!
Yay got the 7!
wow good! Still missing here.
If you want stats or clues ..then no probs.
thank you :) Happily plodding along here still, but will ask when I get stuck.
ah, there it is. I was barking up the wrong tree.
hehe..nice one!
:)
Hello, nice to see you both
hi lyn :) xxx
Hello, Lynxxx!
hang on, just need to turn on the fan in here...anyone want to swap some nice warm weather for something cooler?
Ooh yes please!!
oh absolutely. I'll swap you at least 10 degrees Celcius
gosh, I wouln't mind lyn, I live in Oxford and it is freezing and has just started to rain.
<10 would be just perfect actually
I'll swap 20c
Hi Jenny
Hello, Jenny.
we'll have to see what Huey can do
am definitely done with Winter.
Me too, Sprite..it is wearing me down.
I understand, zooz... very much!
hi everyone, what are the stats for the U
UT 5/12
thanks zooz
np
mmm nork not accepted
Thats enable for you.
hi Jjenny!
good morning sprite. I am stuck on both the Ts can anyone help?
hello
hi Ruby
The new puppy is a go!!!
hi lynxx
Hello, Ruby...that is good news :-)
ti6 is a British hat
oh ruby, how lovely! Where did you find one?
she could bed here as soon as two weeks, but I've asked her owner if it might be too cold for her here since she was born in Barcelona
te6 very scared
Does this mean Rufie has to grow up fast and be the responsible one now?
I found out last night. Our friend in Italy located her for us and she looks just like my first chow, Rosie!
TE6 bowling
am glad for you
Funny story - my granddaughter aged 6 was told by her mum to put slippers on, Megan said "but you haven't got any on" Mum replied "I don't like wearing them" Megan's reply was "That is very hypocritical of you mummy" If she is like this at 6 what is she going to be like at 16
roflollll Jjenny! 6 going on 60
that is very funny jenny, talk about precocious!
hehe..bless her.
excellent reasoning powers!
here I always say to that kind of reasoning: quod licet iovi non licet bovi... or "what Jupiter is allowed, is not allowed to a cow"
that's probably better in Dutch, sprite, hahah
nah, best in latin, lol.
<-- doesn't know Latin :(
basically it means a god can get away with more things than a cow.
Or you will do as you are told..lol
lol... yeah, or "I am an adult, if I wanna do something stupid, I can. You still need permission to do something stupid."
If I tell you that her elder brother as mild Aspergers and looks at everything from a totally logical point of view - you can imagine what a difficult time my daughter and son-in-law have!!
stats for 7 and u, please
quite a challenge, Jjenny.
po7/36 and ut5/12
Do they grate at each other then, Jenny..if so that must be tiring.
hunting
sometimes they are best of friends but it never lasts very long, so they can never be left on their own together
ty for the ut
I need two Ts one a 5 & one a 6 one in the top right hand corner and one from top middle.
ti6 from the upper right corner, brits for hat?
Hi Ruby, Sprite, Zooz and Jenny - and anyone else:)

po7 think of an italian mushroom.
liz, did you see? We found a puppy.
I don't have it either :(
ty zoozz
No - I hadn't seen that! Details please - very happy for you.
ty for the mushroom - I was nowhere close to that!
yw
I kept being disappointed that portent wouldn't work - lol!
Rafaella (Raffie), 7 wks old, born in Barcelona and could be here as soon as two wks if owner doesn't think it's too cold
Ok off to do chores. :-(
{{zoozz}}
I've finally stopped crying but I'll still miss Ruby forever
That's fantastic - Raffie and Rufie - could be confusing! Have you seen photos?
Really pleased for you, Ruby, hope it all works out for you..bye all..*poof
You'll always remember Ruby. Our dog died over 30 years ago - I often think of him!
Have a good day zooz:)
I saw one tiny photo and she looks just likfe my first chow, Rosie. Very black face, strong straight legs and very fluffy
my husband still cries over the dog his mother gave away when he was 12!
Soooo cute - bet you can't wait.
We get so attached to our pets!
and the owner says her tail never stops wagging (the pup, not the owner)
A python killed one of the beautiful birds in our garden on Saturday - that really upset me! It wasn't on the same level of our house and a python isn't venomous but I hate snakes. Felt so sorry for the poor corella.
She'll love her new home.
did you see it happen?
did you see it happen?
<-- loves snakes, just not venomous ones. Photos I've seen of pythons are beautiful
How big was the python?
No - but the other birds were amazing. The screeching alerted me! I looked outside and about 30 birds were in the trees - all looking in the same direction - beaks stretched out. It was obvious what had happened. Hubby turned hose onto the python - they don't like that! Only about 1 metre, so not huge.
I don't know how I'd feel about a big snake in my garden and husband would probably move out!
it was a carpet python - very beautiful.
Still don't like them though.
I'll google it
Hi Liz
Our back area is on 2 levels - this was on the lower level away from teh house.
Hi Lyn :)
Have you read about the invasion of Burmese pythons in the Everglades. They are so big that they eat alligators!
No! That's hard to imagine!
I guess people get them as pets and then when they get too big, release them in the swamp where they thrive and eat everything in sight
It was a sad week for animals last week. At the local wildlife sanctuary, they had to put down the crocodile there - for a few days Holy was the largest croc in captivity. He was 5 m long!
5 meters? OMG
People do that with crocs in the canals / rivers here - get baby crocs and then release them, when they're too big.
He was huge!
your wildlife is much wilder than I've ever known
and he was called Holy because people said "Holy Moly" when they saw him?
that was the urban myth in NY when I was growing up, that people would flush their baby alligators, bought as souvenirs in Florida, and flush them down the toilet. They were said to be lurking in the sewers and subways
In 4 years here I've only seen 3 snakes and 2 of those were non-venomous! Haven't seen any sharks or dangerous jellyfish or dangerous spiders!
Absolutely right Lyn - or so the story goes!
Actually I think it was Holy sh**!
lol
this place is very tame; locals have eaten most of the wildlife so no deer, squirrels or rabbits. The only snakes are vipers (V!) and coulouvres (n-V) and I've never seen either
hahah liz
He was only about 40 - young for a croc but was full of cancer - apparently this is very unusual.
that is sad, liz, people probably fed him bad foods
(not zoo people, but visitors)
I suppose crocs have their usefulness in the animal world but you have to wonder what exactly that is
they keep people in line!
and eat vermin
and their skins make gorgeous shoes!
I don't think so Ruby - he had large tumours on his feet - we could see these! When they investigated, they found many more.
(bad nel)
Funny though!
that is very strange, liz, like the Taz devils with their facial tumors
Yes - the wildlife sanctuary here has set up a tassie devil breeding programme and is having some success.
see you later, kids
bye Ruby
bye ruby
Have a good day Ruby - Hugs to you. Great news aboutt he puppy.
hi Aussie Babblers, lyn and liz
Hi Bichon :)
I heard they have a special island to put the cancer free devils
hi Bichon.
that's good news, they seem to be doing everything they can
I don't know about that - I hope so. They're cute little creatures!
Tell me Bichon, how did the other dog go with his operation?
{{bichon}}
He had this hi-tech operation with plates, bone grafts. Then, somehow he got his e-collar off and destroyed it! So they amputated the leg and he is fine. He was adopted by his foster mother and is living la vida loca [with happy hour every day with his friends].
It's amazing how well dogs cope with 3 legs!
I've never heard the devils described as "cute"
No problem whatsoever
I have to go but our Aussie friends can tell you about our new pup!
The little wretch...but lovely to hear of his new happy life
Well, we watch them running about in their enclosure and that's cute!
You have a new pup already?
no, but we've said yes to one in Barcelona who can be here in as little as 2 wks very lucky
Ruby's found a pup in Spain - Rafaella (Raffie). Hopes to have her in 2 weeks if it's not too cold! Being the obliging Aussie!
I'll let you talk for yourself!!!! lol!
And the Chow tradition continues
30 left for tomorrow. Enjoy your days - sleep well Lyn :)
off to start my day ttfn
Byee

and Good Evening Sandy :)

i was apaid bable member over 5 yrs ago but after not playing for years i forgot my pw and the site admin can not fix this or help me tazpink was my sn
Clever smores, it is well and truly evening here
I usually say both :)
FM's favorite word is a phantom....tenrec
I stopped playing for a while sss, but unfortunately, once again I find myself wasting my time again on this pleasant addiction
maybe fortunately, I do like babble
I can blame my son in law..he got me into this addiction
lol it is addictive but scrabble had lured me away now i see this game helps that game
Just reading back. I would love to see pictures also Sandy
my sweetie is who I blame for this
mom does your sweetie play also
oh no, sss, he found an article in the USA Today and told me about it
that is interesting, what sort of article?
cool
I don't remember Sandy is was back in 2005 but it seems to me that they were talking about word games and it was mentioned
oh ok
a whole slew of people started about the same time the article came out
I started about the same time also
i do recognize many familiar names from years ago
i started in 2006, I used to play tangleword which I loved but it folded and someone on tangle told me about babble
Morning all
hi bob
hello mr bob
sss it is amazing how long some have been playing
hi mr bob
good morning Mr Bob
i do not recall tanglewood
I still am in touch with some old tanglers, I loved tangleword
I have been so fortunate to make many friends here in Babbleland :-)
it was a speed version of babble - you had to put in as many words as poss in 3 mins- it had issues with the site not working well
Babble is different but I do love it too, nice people
there is one on FB called Ruzzle, works like that. you play 3 rounds.
very lovely group and quite a mix of people
our youngest and I play that
tanglewood sounds like boggle
Mom, for the life of me, I can't understand facebook at all
I only got on FB because a Babble community was started
sandy teeheee me either or twitter
yes sss a lot like boggle with a minute in between games for chat and some very funny people used to play
I do not post what I had for supper or where I am going or what I did for the day. :-)
morning friends
or twitter!!
hi hurshyu
I don't do twitter or anything else
hi Hurshy
hi hurshy
or afternoon or evening as the case may be :)
10pm here
hi hurshy
9am here
9:00 a.m. here
this si a much more amaible site than scrabble where there are many sore losers here you work together and sep
when i finish this glass of wine i am off to bed
8 am here
Scrabblers are very scary and mean
do you ever wish you could just go back in time and live out your life in a pre-twitter era?
I agree about Facebook, you two.
morning Molly
hello Molly
hi all. clue for the 7 please.
hello Molly

hello mkg, dont have it
I am too meek and mild for scrabble
hello mkg, I don't have it either
Ihave the 7 let me look
I can't be cut throat on those games. I am with Sandy there
nor do i, i just got here
I have it...po7/36
the 7 is po a type of mushroom
I just found it....po7..quite tasty
morning Champ
Morning Mom, and all!

The horses love him and fight over who is his best friend
used to ride all the time nwo do want to injure the horses back
i will avoid telling my horse-loving niece about you.
bye ((Mom)) and sss
bye sss
Just read back through chat, I fuond this site looking for other boggle games... I play the one on Pogo and wordplay
((Annie) bye for now.
Bye sss...have a great day :)
She can come and have a ride anytime hushy
sometimes i play on weboggle as hurshy on "team babble"
sandy - it's a bit far from michigan to australia for a horseback ride! she does ride there, just doesn't have her own horse.
You too Mom {hugs}
Horses are a lot of work and expense
I guess I shouldve said I used to play, haven't been on much since discovering Babble :)
I am learning to do their feet, it is very scary
I bet it is Sandy. Getting kicked by a horse is no joke.
I am too old for it but it saves lots of money to be able to do it yourself
i lived for a year in an in-law apt with some people who had 3 horses. one day i got home from work and the horses had got out, the gate hadn't been properly latched! the owners weren't home yet. so i was like, hmm, a dog i would just pick up and put back, but a horse? i didn't even know how to call them! i was like, "come here!" and they just looked at me. then they ran by me real fast and i was afraid they were running away but they stopped at the end of the driveway. and then i tugged on one's halter or whatever you call it, ng. and then i thought, i have to OFFER them something. so i found there were carrots in the barn and then they came and i shut them back in their fenced area.
not getting po quite tasty...............is there another clue?
type of mushroom...
quite a story, hurshy..good for you
muishroom eh? hmmm
hurshy, the cleverest thing to do - I wave a carrot and Champ will follow me anywhere
yes it was one of my most notable adventures in life.
No kidding! I imagine that was scary...good job!
i dont know more than two types and i dont see them here. guess i dont know that mushroom.
Horses are scary and big if you are not used to them and even then...
mkg do you remember elaine getting back at the soup nazi by getting his recipe and reading it to him? "chopped po7 mushrooms..."
think of the beginning as a pig
dont recall in that detail hurshy. sorry
LOVE old Seinfelds!
yes it is the word for pig like bovine is cows, only change the last vowel

14 left and gettingvery tired
you would think there would be more Aussies on at this time
maybe mostly they wait til morning
i do personally find morning the pleasantest time to babble.
i have a lot to do in the morning
Lizlin is on here about this time alot
well, I guess a little earlier.
it is gorgeous here in the mornings. lots of birds and nice weather before it gets hot
10 left!
5 5's and 5 6's!
wtg hurshy
guess i'll get the list
I still not quite 1/2 way :)
Could I get a hint for my last word please? It is Ti 6/27
39 left here
What time is it for you Sandy...almost midnight?
dont have it kyle
there's a saying, ti* *** tat (spelt colloquially)
10.41pm and usually i'm in bed by 8.30 and up at 6
We have no tv because we dont want to put up an aerial til we have proper accomodation. we do watch dvd s tho
Thank you Hurshy! That word was killing me!
You can always watch online as well
I guess that gives me more time for babble and it is more stimulating anyway
:)
our internet requires a special aerial and is not fast enough for online viewing
cant even play videos off utube
Ah, I see, well glad it's good enough to Babble :)
its fine and fast enough for everything else
we will need a satellite dish for the television i think
BRB...my dog wants out
last word weird... sounds like what you use to get stuff out from between your teeth after dinner, but without the "th"... (tu5/22)
and with that free clue i will be off, unless anyone has any other immediate requests
dont have that yet
WEIRD....ty hurshy!
that was a very good clue, thanks hurshy
:)
country radio is interesting, they are broadcasting a play at the moment
well i guess i'll be going. ttfn all!
bye hurshy, have an easy day
I am off to bed , goodnite all happy babbling
goodmorning to you goodmorning to you goodmorning and afternoon, goodmorning to you
hi and bye jm
bye sandy and hi jmc
hi and bye
Aren't you jut perky today jmc? Good morning!
good morning my babble friends
*just*
good morning!
i over slept. . . seems to have made me less cranky
morning, crossy
not to mention i finally have gotten enough forms from the IRS to file a return for a client
hi crossy
Oooh...forward progress makes me perky too.
ugh,do not mention taxes.have 4 returns to do this year.one for me,one for the mrs,my sons first return and a estate return
i almost forwarded your presale info post from FB to my boy to improve his sells technique on the houses. . . .
i do about 30+ each year crossy . . . .
;) feel free! It generated some interest.
you are a strong woman jmc;)
but on the up side he has gotten a parttime job at a bicycle shop and after only 4 weeks is the number one seller except for the manager
i am a woman who likes to eat crossy
Wow. Good for him!
the boy can sell if people would give him a chance to sell their house
He needs to find some buyers.
he is doing a little better in that department. . .
i dreamed last night that i saw an upadilla. . . very similar to an armadilla but more like a hedge hog. . . i wondered this morning if it were a babble word. . . or did i make it up. . . .
appears my dreams now include spelling of imaginary animals. . .
either you drank too nuch or not enough before bed
haha
much
i would add a tich more JD
ugh...that's not very relaxing. Sleep!
i have always had vivid dreams. . .
titch
well the up side has been that if it becomes a nightmare i can usually take control of it and change the dream. . . but not always
my youngest does too. She's constantly telling me the odd things she dreams about.
alos sounds like you are woken up a lot during the rem sleep cycle
also..darn small laptop keyboards...
well i am a very light sleeper. . .and i rarely turn over without waking first. . .but it has seemed to work for me for lo these many years
i often write legal arguements or appeal letters in my sleep. . .
So you're productive night and day! Can you bill for that? ;)
i am same.with apnea and sciatica ,sleep is a dream to me now:)
i never did figure out how to do that champ! haha
if you bill by the 6 minute interval how long is a dream?
other than finding a bug killing company in the grid i am really struggling here. . . .
we are dealing with and estate lawyer atm.she is very nice but i shudder to think of the bill at the end.the damn courts have sent the probate papers back twice due to teeny tiny spelling errors and such
Idk, but I say "billable". There has to be a way! bbl...got to get moving on the day.
well i have sat on both sides of that table crossy. . .even though she bills by the hour you really are paying here for making it even smoother than it would be than if you tried it alone. . .
haha have a great day champ!
!! i would not even dream of trying it alone!
would not be able to anyways.she had to affix her seal to coies of the will once it was deemed the last and was legit
were there you go. . . and i cannot tell you how many hours she spends at meetings and conferences keeping up and not being paid one cent for her time. . . generally most lawyers (but not all) deserve their pay. . .
copies
seems everyone wnats a cetified copy
damn keyboard
you are right i am sure jmc.she must keep fresh and current and tht is her dime
well i could tell you stories (and i am sure she could also) of people trying to hide codicils and destroy wills because they didn't like the new version. . . or others making new versions which never were signed or were signed when the person had no clue. . . .
{{crossy}}
((ruby))
don't worry about the typos crossy. . . everyone here speaks typonese
hi ruby
thank god we never had that horror ,jmc.the will in question was 8 years old and the signatures in pen so we knew
i had a case once that i called my bleak house case. . . the probate took me 14 years and i was really really trying to move it along. . . .
hello jmc
14 years??????!!!!!!!
after 14 years i was finally paid a whopping $20,000 which comes out to about $1,500 per year. . . not a killing
was there anything left of the estate after 14 years?? did it get gobbled up in fees?
it had to do with two estates and a friend who kept stealing the money. . . .
ugh
no, the biggest problem was after i finally got my hands on the money several of the heirs had died and i so wanted to get shuck of it i probated their estates just to pay out the money to their heirs. . . the whole thing was moderate in size but there were 16 heirs. . . so no one got much
i told all the parties listed in the will right off the bat that if they caused so much as a ripple during all this paperwork the mrs and i have to go through i would make it a point to make sure the entire thing got ate up in fees and other expenses and we would walk
i didn't charge for probating those estates because the inheritance was the entire estate. . .
that iis wild,jmc
we have been at it since last september and i do not even want to hear the family members voices till we are ready to divide and close the estate account
one of the heirs died in chicago and had an estate but his estate was closed and his attorney and i communicated. . .but his attorney was so old and he never got the estate reopened so that money escheated to the DC government. . . every so often my boy sees it listed in an account with my name and tells me a have a lost account and i have to remind him it is not my money. . . .
tough case indeed,jmc
just long. . . .
haha i didn't even tell you the most shocking part!
our biggest problem is one family member (who is not in the will) is holding on the cash of the deceased that should be incuded in the estate
holding breath.....
i lost track of the friend who was stealing the money for a while. . .
on to some cash*
i finally tracked her down and sent a scathing letter and shortly after i got a phone call from . . .
her husband's niece who said that he had opened my letter (because the wife was in a nursing home) read it and had a heart attack!
omg
did you believe them?
well unfortunately you are going to have to decide if the money or relative is more important. . .
deadly pen indeed!
my cat has more importance than this reltive
oh yes . . .the niece told me where to find her aunt and i told her how sorry i was and sent flowers to the hospital
Do all the people mentioned in the will have the right to see the will before it goes to probate?
cats are more important than most relatives
{{annie}}
((ruby))
annie,i did not bother with it.no one called,no one offered hep or deframent of cost we collected,so we just did it all and sent it off
it depends on the state law annie but usually not. . .
help
help with costs*
they have a right to see it when it is filed. . .
annie: would bobby be upset by a photo of Ruby?
so when the inheritors get to see the will?
each will be offered a copy of the will
and the probate papers
ruby, Not at all. I didnt tell him Ruby passed away.
oh, ok
and the bank statements showing monies we used on behalf of the estate
Hello again everyone :)
oh no! i didn't know ruby had died. . . i am so sorry ruby
hello smores!
hi smores
{{Ruby}}
she died in her sleep last Wednesday morning
I was a total wreck until last night when I found us a new puppy in Spain
there will be a copy of the will and porbate stapled to their cheque other than that,i do not want to see them
well i am very sorry for you loss ruby. . .
hubby does not know yet ruby?
thank you
i look forward to pics of the new puppy
no, of course he knows, you silly
sorry.chat is moving fast for me atm
crossy, did they give you a hard time when your mil passed away?
the new pup is named Rafaella (Raffie) and she looks just like my first dog, Rosie
one did
You found a puppy in Spain?
well speaking of estates i need to go do a tax form for one. . . see you all later. . . .
100 left . . . *poof*
I love the name...Rafaella
tc jmc
our "chow friend" in Italy, who helped us import Ruby, found this baby girl for me
new puppy ? yaa!
Bye jmc...have a good day :)
bye jmc, interesting chat
bye jmc
aww...Is it a black chow?
this little cutie will be here within the month
it is very complex on that end of things, annie so we are just keeping our heads down, doing what must be done and bringing the estate and my mother in laws final wishes to a conclusion
no, she has a very black muzzle but is still quite pale. Will probably be shaded blonde or brownish
we had bad luck with both of our black ones (Max is pictured)
I was sick with grief all weekend, couldn't even get dressed, but I'm OK now
How is your other dog doing now?
I have a tiny picture I can send
you did right by getting a new dog sooner than later ruby:)
:)
Rufie is somewhat subdue but all the extra attention is keeping him OK
your other dog would of pined
with these fragile dogs, it is necessary to have two; it's just that I was too close to Ruby
I know they grieve too :(
I let Rufie spend time with Ruby's body, trying to revive her, etc. so he hasn't tried to look for her and seems to understand
Oh, no, Ruby died? I am so sad.
I'm sure he will be happy to have another pup to play with :)
yes, last week, but there is a new pup on the horizon which will help me recover my sanity
can I get a clue for te 5/14?
even though I knew she had a bad heart and had made it to ten, it was still horrible to find her dead
don't have it, annie
((ruby)) It must be terrible
I don't think mine doesn't have much longer as she just turned 13. I know I will be a mess.
wow... I messed that sentence up :)
at least with Raffie coming, I've stopped crying
{{Ruby}}
even being prepared, it is a hole in your heart
what are her breed's expectations, smores?
sooo... Raffie and Rufie :)
te + rules and *e*ul*tions
yes, and for my girls...wasn't until her birthday earlier this month that they really thought about it.
that's how it was for me, smores, the tenth birthday made me hyper-aware
She is a mutt Ruby...Mother was german shephard/ chow/chow...father was a wolf/mal hybrid
I'll bet she's beautiful with that combination and mutt's are usually healthier
ty BR, never would have found that
thanks, BR and hello
Yes, I'm hoping for a couple more years
heinz 57,s can be some of the best dogs
Hello
my husband kept saying that he thought Ruby had a couple more but I knew in my heart that she didn't
She is wonderful, I have a pic in my profile

{{annie}}
lol, crossy, I just got in. My son did "join me" the other night for over an hour and got no place; it's even slower now.
have you ever used the c cleaner program ruby?
I talked to my local techie and he's getting me a computer through his work
he says my computer is too old
The 1st pic is her eating her "birthday cake" lol...ground pork, leftover chicken, rice with gravy "icing"
sounds good to me, smores, just put an extra bowl down and I'll "chow down" too!
LOL
I have to go make dinner but will be back
Bye for now Ruby {{hugs}}
husband is clomping around upstairs

Morning all!
Nbs and nbt
Nrkii is in the grid today : )
phantom rupert grint :)
I am lurking and not taking part in the chat but I do love keeping up with everyone. But I do not know what "Nbs and nbt" stands for. Would someone please enlighten me!?
nbt means no blank tiles in grid, nbs means no blank word length in chart
like you have one of each
That Rupert, he's everywhere. : D
its clearly a sign.
Thx cos. Not sure that I am any smarter now that I know. I have been babbling for years and used to chat more than I should have, but I had a stroke and now it is really hard for me to keep up in chat!! Thank goodness the stroke was not such that I could no longer enjoy babble, but it has slowed me down.
hint for the po 7/36, pls
No problem. Im glad you can still enjoy the game :)
po7: most of outdoor room of a house + not out + vowel
clued earlier as a mushroom?
po7 is a mushroom
ty Molly
No shortage of clues for that one.

Pini and Nrkii
Peri too
peri is always in the grid. I think Bichon has been in once
Peri is always in the grid. I think she is Dr. God's girlfriend. : P
Bich and I are sharing a brain today. : )

oh he isnt.. which is a shame lol
fireworks
Yay for Cos!
my UPS guy honks when he passes my house. I knew him from the Post Office where I used to work [University P.O.]
I an already sick of the Jennifer Lawrence tripping story. The media really over does everything.
my fave story is meryl picking her butt LMAO I saw it and I was like..w ait did she just do that
cr 5/14, the 2nd one please
I love the sites that just play that clip on a loop, over and over again. Meryl shouldn't have worn a thong. : P
nm
my friend,a big meryl fan, says "no she was just pulling her dress out of her shoe" and i said "i clearly saw her fingers go in her ass"
Pulling her dress out of her shoe would have involved a lower, more sweeping motion. That was clearly underwear related.
Just goes to show she's human too :P
hello...stats for the U please

Hello all
hi everyone

Hi Jill and 2Bit
Hello Molly and dan2 and phaeton
new miss2bit photo in my profile - she was showing me her "stethascope"
Doctor 2Bit. Hope she's bright and can land the medical school scholarships. : )
LOL...how cute; suppose one of these days stethoscopes will be that small...
I'll be content if she just keeps her eardrums protected :-)
I watched a few St. Elsewhere episodes last week and was amazed at how advanced medical equipment has gotten. Their crash carts look antique.
How many words total today? Anyone?
122
Thanks, Dan!
Easy grid PR
uhoh, my secret is out. just read back in the chog

More lilkely her Spanx crossy...

I missed that crossy and glad that I did. are they showing it over and over?
opps.i however do not
if so, do they not have something better to do
i keep the tv off now except as a dvd movie player and nexflix next month
it was just plastered all over cnn.com this morn
poor meryl
well, they say all publicity is good publicity
*sigh* significantly slowed down in the t's...
Not sure what she was thinking. She did it as she was about to announce the nominees. She knew cameras were on her. So maybe she simply just didnt care
That's the thing with us "women of a certain age"...we have learned not to give a crap!
whenyou get to a level where you do not give a damn if they see you adjusting your jockeys or tearing at a nose hair, then you know you have arrived
<----this ole lady got FW!! *adjusts underwear*
yay for jilly, if you are an old lady, not sure what that makes me
now it is time for crossy's recipie of the day!! this one is for a quick and easy cheese loaf!
Cheddar And Chive Quick Bread 3 cups self-rising flour 1/2 cup granulated white sugar 2 Tablespoons chives, freshly chopped 3/4 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded 12 ounces beer (the better the taste the better the bread) 1/4 cup butter, melted Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, and chives. Stir in cheese and beer, and pour into a lightly greased 9 x 5 loaf pan. Bake for 45 minutes. Pour melted butter over the top and bake an additional 10 minutes. Tips: Use a good flavor of bottled beer! It'll make a difference. Non alcoholic beer may be substituted. In a pinch, you can use chopped green onion tops in place of chives.
yaa for jilly
my thanks to sue for this recipie
*groans* food, oh food, oh bread how I miss thee...
why are you not eating bread, jilly?
Wait, what? no bacon?
i am sorry jilly are you "slimming"?
not it this one though real bacon bits throughout would not hurt
Had managed to gain back 20#, so back on program pe4/5
ok
and you can say my name in the grid, it is ok
help with right corner t pls
One of these days I will figure out where the words come from...
try ti6/27
got one of the corner t's by accident b
but I don't know which one
it was not the one you clued, jilly, looking
jilly, consider the tiles are in order. a is 1, f is 2, the t in the 2nd row is 6. whatever the lowest number that works, that's where a word comes from. so if a word works from BOTH the t's in the first row, it would count from the third tile
ti+water table aqui**
ty leslieann, no one every explained that before!
not getting that clue, jilly
so if peri's looking for the corner t, i assume it uses the other t
thre is only one corner t
actually, ti+cross consonant+ a pine is a coni***
ty for ti6
i meant it uses the other t in the first row, peri
gotcha leslieann, had sorta figured out that if two of them, word must use both, but your explanation makes it much clearer
you're welcome!
Well, off to do chores...may check in later *poof*

I'm in the grid!!!

I've never seen the whole 5 letters together before. It's oddly exciting. :)

It's a good omen. Buy a lottery ticket. : )
you are indeed, nrkii!

tu + hee haw: **c*in and a grinnin
I got your clue, BR. thanks
Jeez...have spent all day on either hubby's computer issues, his Medicare supplement searches or my mother's computer issues....wish I hadn't finished earlier...could use babbling as stress relief!
Hi jilly and others :)
((((Jillyjill)))) now don't you feel better?
Hello. Half way through , about. Spring-like day in the northwest. If you don't care for the current weather, wait five minutes, it will be diffrent.
LOL..yes I do...gotta love the chog!
and Hello lizlin!
Hi stidg and peri too and BR if you're still here :)
You mean pe4/5?
Just happy we had some sun today. Spit snow off and on
I've alway been told it's OK to use her name as she's often in the grid!!! So I use it!
LOL just ;)
So confusing!!!!!!
Peri, I finally told my husband I was taking a break until after dinner...
Hope you've got a decent length break then.
Maybe an hour...teehee. I'm finding myself behaving like the computer guy on SNL..."MOVE" I am not a patient person I guess.
Don't know the reference but understand what you're saying.
Saturday Night Live used to have running spoof on an IT guy...he would impatiently yell "MOVE" to those he was helping. Similar to PEBKAC errors
How could it take so long to find te 6 when i already had er 5??????
I had the reverse problem LOL
4 to go - then hopefully a walk but the sky's getting darker by the minute!
Nightfall or storm?
Loads of rain in SE Queensland at the moment - has been so for most of February! But thankfully at the moment, most of it's missing us. But it's grey! It's 10.30 am here!
Tomorrow by your reckoning!
That's what had me confused...my brother in law lives in Guam, so I thought it was tomorrrow morning there...
Yes it's tomorrow! Or not!
Gotta love the International Date Line!!
I used to have a snoopy poster, when I was at uni - snoopy just lying on his kennel, with thought bubble "tomorrow never comes!"
Guess it doesn't if it's already here...of course you could also go the route that you CAN live in the past...
So if I fly to the W coast of Canada or the States, I arrive 3 hours before I left!!! Gotta really love the international date line! So, I guess it's possible to organise it so I always miss the Day of Atonement and never have to fast!
Using it to your benefit, if only one's body didn't show the wear and tear of those longggggg flights.
That's the problem. Have great sympathy for those whose work involves loads of international travel! The wear on their bodies must be unbelievable.
Well, can't put off fixing dinner for hubby and me. BBL if I catch a break from being the resident computer guru. Nice chatting with ya!
Bon appétit :)
TY *poof*
That is a lot of work to miss Yom Kippur : )
True Molly - esp as i don't find it a difficult day :)

Not a bad grid today :)
Yay for Liz!
I guess we'll head off for that walk now and hope we can dodge raindrops!!!
Enjoy
ty BBL :)
2nd re5/12 pls
It's a word that means of days go4 by
I thought that was re5/10
Oh wait, that is the third. Same word, different third consonant, short for print.
ty Molls, that was my last word
byee
Good job Peri.
hi all!
hi, folks!
Shnuffling, snottering, choking, and ringing a bell, intoning 'Unclean', Soodle barely drags her ass into the chog. In other words, I'm flu-y!!
Oh dear, baby needs Mothering.
Wah. Thanks Molls. Feeling very sorry for self.
*Whips up some homemade chicken soup and hot tea with honey, sets lavender and cool mist vaporizer by the Soodle bed*
Oh, thank you Molly. That sounds wonderful.
.....don't forget the peeled grapes.... :-p
We all need some tender loving care when we are feeling sick. : )
I was so sure I had escaped all the winter bugs. I fell at the last fence. :-(
Back in the day, when my middle son was about 7, I was sick as a dog with bronchitis. Boyo came into my room, crawled in bed with me, and read me one of his library books. That was one of the sweetest things anyone has ever done for me.
Oh Molls, its moments like that, that are worth 50 consecutive lottery wins.
I agree and I am fortunate to have had many with my kids.
:-).
Did you stay home from work today Soodle?
No, Molls, I soldiered on. And tomorrow, I must attend the funeral of the son of a good friend of mine. His body has just been recovered from a local river. He left a suicide note' three weeks ago, and we have all been out searching the river banks since then.
Its just unthinkable what his family has been through for the past 3 weeks. At least they found him. Now, at least, they can have some closure.
Oh God, that is horrible.
For sure.
Death of a loved one is so hard. Suicide is an even heavier burden. I will say a prayer for those he left behind.
Sorry. First I come on moaning about my galloping influenza ( because what I have is clearly far worse than the common cold) , then I drag the chog down even lower. Apologies. Its been a difficult day!!
sometimes it is good to vent and share.not to worry
Molly, your prayers will be most welcome. Thank you. (((())))
Hey, you are not the only one who comes here to unload your troubles. No problem.
it is one of the good thing about babble.one of many
:-). I love Babble. :-)
((soodles))
Sometimes, this place is like the "Cheers" of the internet.
lol, crossy enjoys the 80,s "big hair" on da ladies
Where everybody knows your name...... Hey!! I wanna be Carla!!
hi soodle, molly, crossy!
lol@ carla.abrasive as sandpaper and all the warmth of a snow pea but she will lay it all out for you every time
suze!
a completely ridiculous irish dog video for Soodle, with hopes of putting a smile on her face: http://tinyurl.com/6upxjff
hi welki!
hi sue, crossy
(((Sue)))). I saw the photos of you and that handsome hunk of yours. What a good looking pair you are!
whats the difference between an irish dog and a canadian dog??...2 bottles of glenfiddich and a kilt:)
thanks, soodle! He has more dress clothes than I do; I had to go shopping :-)
Welki!!!! Literally wiping the tears of laughter from my eyes. So funny. (((((Thank you)))))
howdy welki
(phone)
There was the most incredible full moon here tonight. Yellow as a ducks beak. I'd love to hear if you guys across the Atlantic will see it as we did.
No Soodle, we have a different moon over here. : P
Ahem, I mean yes and it's very pretty.
it is a clear sky here and the moon is beautiful and full and bright
cloudy here, unfortunately
Ah yes. I always suspected I was communicating with alien life forms!!!! Seriously, though, is your view of the moon the same as ours? I ask, because whenever I'm the other side of the Equator, I get a different perspective, like a big Cheshire Cat Smile moon, which we never get here.
At the same latitude it should look pretty much the same, Soodle
Oh dear. I'd love to say 'maybe the meds are kicking in', but I haven't taken any.....
glad you liked the video, Soodle - not much else I could offer under the sad circumstances
Thanks Sue. So, anyone with cloudless skies, have a look at tonight's moon. Its spectacular.
I liked it too, welki, and I sent it to Frank - it will give him a laugh too!
Welki, anything that makes me laugh is very welcome right now. Thanks again. I've shared the link with a bunch of friends.
a man i work with, an irish sheriff (of all things) sent it to me when i was having a bad day
An Irish sheriff? Poacher turned gamekeeper?
LOL - will pass that along tomorrow. this is the guy who, no matter what, can diffuse the worst possible scenario with his quick wit and charm. (we owe it all to ireland :)
sue - thanks, too. you're still at work?
no, I'm home now.
and your blisters are all better? (next time, wear sneakers!)
I'm on babble time, so it's after 8 pm here.
Lol Welki. Let me know what he says!!
well, Soodle, it does help that he has a gun :)
yes, fine - wasn't blisters exactly, just really sore balls of feet, and achy knees.
Sneakers are what I usually wear :-)
Yarrghh. I hate guns. Even legally held, totally law abiding guns. Son of Soodle has 2 hunting guns chez Soodle, & they worry the heck out of me.
not fond of them myself, but i don't see a future without them, at least not in my lifetime
Lol. Just heading for bed now. I had a last look at tonights amazing moon, and am in awe that some of my Babble buddies will be looking at the self same moon!! Goodnight Moonies!!
night soodle!
'night, Soodle

Wow! You must be doing more than a day trip then.
i have a new grand-baby to meet and thought that, since i'll be there for more than a week, a babble-get-together would be nice
Who is hosting it and who else is going? If I had some relatives there, then I would definitely consider going

night welki
Goodbye welki!I will see you tomorrow in the chat log
A tu 5/22 word is tu plus **n* is my favorite color mkg
Opposite type of dwelling to an igloo for an Inuit (or an Eskimo)... I admit, I had to use the list hours earlier to find this. It wasn't my last word... that was pi4/9 (the first).
I'll remember the word (I hope!) for the future... sounds a bit like something you get food particles out of your teeth with.
That was my take on tu5/22, btw.
sounds about right, jac :-)
Hi uusue. Yes.
I suppose the getting food out of gaps in teeth would work for tu5 and pi4! lol
:-)
Unless anyone urgently needs any clues, I'll be off to bed now...
night, jac! It must be close to time to get up there!
zzzzzzzzzONK!
Just thinking: it wouldn't be a phantom if it were enoug...
oh well, I thought it would wake up Jac.
