thanks Dee, sweet sleep
ty, friend!
is there anyone still here?
hey flosey, late flip for me. how are you, hun?
great thanks rose, and you?
I was late coming in too, was doing a large jigsaw puzzle
great here too, dear friend. weather much kinder today
glad to hear it rose, we had on/off rain today
daughter, hubby and son coming over tomorrow to stay until Monday
grampa is looking forward to taking grandson to the park by the ocean, there are swings and slides
oh how lovely....what a nice way to spend the weekend.just had my youngest call in on his way home from work. it's such a buzz.
how nice that he is close enough to do that
when we were in Ontario, the girls worked nearby and would stop in on way home - seems they always knew when I baked bread
yes, and the other son is close enough for us to visit with on weekends. i feel we have to encourage a deeper relationship with the 2 grandkiddies, so when number 3 arrives, we can help out if needed.
great, rose, and what fun
in reality, it's actually number 5. lucinda had 2 from another relationship before she married my simon.
wow, quite a handful for gramma
lol....nah....this is one very down-to-earth gramma. they would have to pull a pretty swift one to fool this granny.
good for you
flosey, i have 4 brothers, 3 sons, a father, and 2 husbands....and i still win
I could handle the 15 yr old quite easily but the 3 1/2 one is too much for me alone. Hubby and I looked after him while his mom and dad shopped but that was long enough
I did look after the older one when he was a baby but think I'm too old for it now
am hoping i will remain young enough to help them out for a while longer. with the re-installation of my anti-inflamm's, am feeling so much better
so glad to hear that rose, you had quite a time here for a while, that was not easy
ah well, flosey. i am one tough old chook. and my darling dad always said " chin up, sweetheart. it ain't gonna get any worse"
nice to have his words still with you, I was close to my dad, a very wise father
morning
hey sarah...hugs sweetie.
hello sarah, nice to see you
rose hugs how are you xxx
doing well, thanx, dear. and you?
hi flosey xx
am good full of cold
rose got something to tell you will email you later xx
ah nasty, hope you get rid of it soon
awww, poor sarah. are you able to rest, hun? and how are the girls? and daniel?
looks like i am crying all the time lol
all good here :)
brb
email sent rose xx
ah, thanx sarah.
and happy to say still not smokeing :)
wonderful sarah - am proud of you
but now seem to get every bug girls bring home lol
can you see a doctor, perhaps you need a boost of some kind, vitamins or such?
been bit down so may be that
hope it's something as simple as that, sarah
sounds like you need some extra vitamin c, sarah. it's a good booster for our immune systems.
i will get some at weekend
oh, and try drinking green tea. i drink it all the time, haven't had a cold/flu for over 2 years.
yuck tea lol daniel has started drinking green tea
green tea is very high in anti-oxidants which are extremely good for boosting our immune system.
please try, sweetheart. it also helps with weight loss and detox's our bodies.
thanks rose, I didn't know that, must get some
I'd love to lose a few pounds, especially tummy
thats why daniel drinking and i will try it xx
flosey, i drink at least one teapotful/day.
interesting, rose
sarah, nothing wrong with using a little honey to sweeten it, if that helps.
daniel has some green tea with honey i will try that
resit
oopppss sorry
always wondered why it wouldn't accept that - if you get up, you often resit
s'okay...not a real word
head's getting heavy, time for bed, 29 for tomorrow
goodnight rose and sarah, enjoy the grid, I have found it moves along nicely
nite flosey sleep well xxx
and flosey? you have to be a leetle circumspect with your diet. i allow myself 200-300cal, or about 1000-1200 kilojoules per meal. and only snack on fresh fruit between meals.
ty dear sarah
oh, night, flosey. sleep well, hun
yes, very true rose, hubby comes in (from the garden) for tea and I always have a couple of cookies with it - not a good habit
so my dear...can you reach for a piece of fruit instead?or is the availability not good?
have started a chair yoga class - once a week for next 6 weeks, this should help the arthritis and also push me to get more exercise
yes, bought a fresh pineapple today, have been nibbling on it
and we have apples in storeroom, should be eating them
dearest friend, and the more weight you lose, the more mobile you will become.
so true, have been trying to get out to walk - at least a mile a day
in season, i use low-joule lemonade to stew fruit, freeze, and in off-season i still have 'fresh' fruit to eat.
hate to admit, have plenty of fruit frozen from last summer, should be eating that
oh, dear. maybe good that i have prompted your memory?
just a case of getting into that habit
and now, with thanks dear friend, must get to bed, almost 1: am. and kids coming just after lunch tomorrow
okay, sweetie. march to the freezer on your way to bed, and remove some fruit....right now. lol
after the fresh pineapple and mango, will do that
and I won't be offended if you remind me, lol
good girl. sleep well. enjoy your family
may not be babbling for a few days, we'll see how things go
will talk to you on monday? have the best weekend ever.
bbl got few thing to do xxxx bye rose hugs xxx
bye, sarah. did respond to your email, hun.
and with that i am outta here. very nice grid...and lickety has the clues up.

Ye/6: plural affirmatives.

that is all I have too Nono
that was too obvious. Thank you so much! :)

ty judi
Drop the double consonant from the ye6 and you'll have your ye5.
WooHoo knutmeg :)
tern

hi phaeton
hi all
isn't the English language stupid having two ways of pluralising a word (ye5 and ye6)?
I appreciate the help. FW for me!
At times, yes, worzel.
I always forget the pt "t" instead of "ed" and sometimes both.
I had both affirmatives - need the third Y
Ye4: expression of pain or surprise.
its a sound a dog makes if you step on his tail
the ye4 that is
something your dog might do
slap me with a fish....thanks

ty
:)
Has anyone wondered how frightened a fish must be when used to slap a human?
you gotta feel for that poor fish....
lol...Hi BR

probably as much mad as frightened. I mean, you have pulled it out of water, its drowning in air for the sole purpose of smacking someone.

i finally broke back into wwf. . . lord only knows why it kicks me out and then lets me back in randomly...
just popping in to try to whittle away at my last 12 words... have to go to traffic court this afternoon... joy
bummer. . .trying to save 10 minutes?
nope, didn't see a stop sign on a dark rainy night, when another car's headlights blinded me for a second and the stop sign was obscured by a detour sign in front of it
by the time I saw it, I hit the brakes, realized I'd never stop in time, and so I just sailed through
ah. . .we that sounds worth explaining to a judge
(after determining that nobody was coming the other way)
*well
exactly
I chose the SAFE option
good for you. ..
and the policeman who gave me the ticket told me, "the next time you're having trouble seeing, you should slow down"
idiot
I don't mind paying the ticket... I did go through the stop sign. But I'll be damned if I'm going to put up with getting points on my insurance over this.
well you did since the only time you had trouble seeing was when the lights blinded you
yep
stats for the right column e please

I'm completely stuck on these last 12
ooh, last 11
what are you looking for . . . you never know i might have it
not sure
Did someone say girdles? I've seen some women in spandex who would be well advised to wear a girdle. Or not wear the spandex.
oh, I'm missing one Y word... I have two affirmatives
Dog cry
great! thx
Molly, you mentioned something about butts and stomach to not be so visible in the workplace? Is that actually true?
missing two I words... I have in5, in6, in8
wow totally monkeyed the el7 on the first try
Yes, it is a workplace that has a lot of young people and they tend to wear low rider pants with exposed front and back skin.
wow, times have changed, not for the better in the workplace..how casual can one get?
or sloppy
This is specific dress code for casual Friday.
no help from me nrkii
used to work with a young woman who wore low jeans, and had a low tattoo... had to bite my tongue to keep from saying anything to her
el7 help?
Wow, Nrkii, can you clue the 8
is5/10, is6/18
i remember when i was costume director in a school play and had to show the girls where there waists were
in8, is the person who in6s
el + sometimes vowel + a ***ll lives under the bridge, then single lump letter

I took a few pictures earlier this week
my guess is that they'll let me plead out
hello everyone :)
Sometimes works if you can prove at lest part of it
it's a big money-making machine here
hi cybernan
good! HAS to help!
JMC, if you are still here, PBS has a special on about musicals. A perfect compliment to our conversation last night.
Oops, she is gone.
I love musicals
a clue for the el 7, please?
cos gave me a clue at 1:00
ty cos, nrkii
hello everybody
Hi ((ruby))
hi ruby
{{annie}}
hi nrkii
2nd pr 7/32, please?
hello nan
pr7---prefix for before and high hills
ty annie, nice clue
ty annie - have that one - looking for the one before that
rubvy, How is beautiful Raffie?
when you're studying for the college entrance exams, you might take a pr7 to practice
ty nrkii
she is still in Barcelona, recovering from her eye surgery and I don't yet know when (or if) she'll be here
Will keep my fingers crossed for a good outcome
Although it was very disappointing, I am glad they found the problem there
are you snowed in ruby?
we were very Lucky, no snow here this time, just very nasty north wind
that's good - saw a news report last night showing a dreadful storm in the eastern part of France
*!* ta da *!* - thanks for the help :)
in some places, it would have been over my head!
yay nan
congrats, nan
come to think of it they were showing lisle -- that's the dordogne isn't it?
lille is straight north of Paaris , I think
Dordogne is southwest
oh lille, not lisle
I was thinking of all those lovely vinyards!
we had a couple of feet of snow 2 or 3 wks ago and the tulips started up underneath
ooh, just found the gn8
on my way unless anyone wants clues?
stats for the n, pls?
no 4, 5, 6
no 4,4,5,6,5
sorry, meant the 9
all related
but ty for those
et 8-9
ty nan, looking
beginning of forever and end with perform suffix
*or most of forever + compass direction
"beginning of forever" is a lovely phrase
Sounds like a wedding vow.
I need help for the pr with the high hills please. Thanks
before prefix + rugged mountain top
or an elegy
Done!
hi ga peach
grats, annie :)
{{molly}} just found the fancy parantheses
Hey there, ruby. So nice to see you.,
yay annie
I like "beginning of forever" sounds Nicole Krauss-ish
pr6...before prefix + It's ripped, I have ***n my dress
or even with an e*
congrats, ruby on the {{{{{}}}}
one-by-one they are revealing themselves
Where exactly are all these punctuation marks hidden?
I am thinking of getting a new computer
have you ever considered that when you put an e in front of the bird, you have forever, but when you put an ma in front you have what seems like forever ;)
Under weird marks I don't even recognize
Oh, I didn't get that at first. You have to put "ity" at the end.
yes
still haven't found the colon and semi-colon
you would also have to put another E at the end of the bird to get poetic forever
So the French language has different punctuation? I didn't know that.
Thanks much, nan.
ruby, it is not near the L then
just a lot more punctuation than english -- all those accent marks
it may just be European because there's an umlaut and a pound sign (neither usable for me)
Thanks Molly for that pr6.
that's it, annie, thank you
An umlaut???
that key has an : on it and the key with a question mARK has the m underneath
aren't two dots side-by[side an umlaut?
ruby, is the question mark on the bottom row or one row about
*above
.. umlaut
No clue. Except for accents, I am not familiar with European punctuation.
ist is written on the key next to the n which is actually the m and the question mark is Under a sign I don't recognize, like a blurred double ss
I'm off to a doctors appt. bbl Thanks for the clues.
but I still like the new computer, even if my writing is slightly idiotic
bye peach
bye peach
stove repairman is here, bye
bye annie
I would be lost Ruby. As my husband used to say, I am a hopeless Anglophone.
I don't think you'd like this village; nobody here speaks English except my husband, and he doesn't talk much

Everyone must get in shape for The Day.
If I had anything in the house I would join you
I love your profile Molly. :-)
Oh Soodle, I started a scrabble game with you. if you do not want to play just resign. I will not get upset
what is The Day?
St. Patrick's Day of course : D
but of course
Peri, I have a lot going on domestically right now. I haven't looked at WWF for days.
I will be Irisih on that day to
is everything ok, soodle?
I just bought a rolling collapsible crate that is usually 20-30 dollars at Staples for $8. I am so excited. I will use it to transport my collage supplies.
Oh, my Mom suffered a stroke last week, so things are a bit fraught right now.
i hope she recovers soodle.healing thoughts and prayers sent her way and hugs to you
I just had a look at WWF. I don't see any games with you....
oh, I did not know. I am so sorry. how is she doing?
Scrabble, soodle
Thanks Lil. Shes not great. Things are complicated by a drop in her haemoglobin, which may mean internal bleeding. She has a pacemaker, so they can't do an MRI scan.
((((( Soodle and her mom))))
need to check on laundry
Got your green hair dye ready Molls? And your food coloring to turn your Tullamore Dew green?
So if they can't do an MRI, what's next?
Ack, I don't dye things green on St. Patrick's Day. *Shivers at the thought of green Irish whiskey*
A lumbar puncture scheduled for tomorrow (ouch), and gastroscopes scheduled for next week.
Poor Mom, she must feel like a pin cushion.
<------- Spent St Patricks Day in San Fransisco in 2007. Drank green beer!! It tasted fine, but it looked gross!
I spent a considerable amount of time in college helping rookie drinker friends yack up green beer. It has no appeal for me.
Hmmm. Anything yacked up is less than appealing...
How is your Dad doing Soodle? Is he still staying with you?
I had a dream a few months ago that every babbler turned their flags to ireland's flag. eerie!
No, Molls. He has moved to my sisters house. He's in good form, but really worried about my Mam. He's keeping the best side out. Cos, thats too funny. :-)
Hello all. Just starting but have high hopes. Thinking of Soodle and her family.
Hi Gmere. ((())). I gotta go, stuff to do. Thanks all, for your kind wishes. See you soon. :-)

I'm with you there crosshair - can't stand the stuff
indeed
oh, i take it you are talking about the gi4 crossy.i thought you were talking about the gn lol.i don't like it but it's my mam's favourite tipple
so i guess the broncos got someone with mad skills?
sloe g with 7-up goes down way too easily.
still like perfume to drink imo
best with tonic water, ice and fresh lemon - can't beat it :)
It seems likely Cos
that's how my mam drinks it katie
i have been playing around with drinking vodka russian style with a wee kiss of honey and pepper
Well that's better than straight out of the bottle.
and?.....
mmm, never tried it like that crossy.will have to have a go.i like vodka and tonic with a bit of lemon
indeed, tis a tad more stylish than just tipping your head back and inserting the neck of the stoli bottle:)
is it nice crossy?
oh yes:)) summertime vodka with lemonage;))
it is nice actually.i have special tall shot glasses for it and freeze them and the vodka before serving and right after pouring you ad a drop of honey and just a touch of fresh ground pepper from a pepper mill
the honey actuall floats in the vodka suspended.almost like a lava lamp.quite pretty to look at
then you get the bite of the pepper and the ice chill of the vodka right from the freezer and the honey as a finish
sounds quirky.so any honey i take it?
use a good vodka tough.i like ketle one and a grade a honey
just a drop in the glass, bout the size of a chick pea
the tall shot glasses hold 3 oz
foffle, do you miss belgium?
then just sip it,do not down it all at once
Hi all. Just popped in to see how everyone is :)
hehe, you get pepper on your lips.makes for firey kisses:)
howdy liz

Hello, smores.
seems it is a bit of a holdover from old style russian moonshine.it was oily and nasty and pepper was used to ease the taste

Butterscotch cream .... mmmm

sorry, for being nosy, you can tell me to mind my own business.i'm just interested as you said you've been away for along time
I lived in Belgium fot ten yeaars and efore then in Holland - but I'm a Brit
that is why i used to watch uk dart tourneys years ago.you would get stuff like this.. "and here is Sir reginald fortesque the third up for his second throw..AND ANOTHER 20!!!..while we wait for the third throw i can tell you that sir reginald is from puddleby-on-the-sye and collects vintage draught taps and sheep droppings..."
Hello all! Nice to meet you Foffle. Hello crossy and lillian.
howdy jilly
hi jill
hiya jilly
i went to Belgium once on a day trip and have never been to Holland but would love to go
where were you in Belgium?
zeebruge
I lived in Brugge
not far
*zeebruger
ten minutes by train
did you like it?
it's very beautiful and medieval but the architecture and beauty isn't everything - so no
that's a shame.i know when i went for the day it was very expensive, but that was about 20 years ago
I found the Belgians ;ove foreigners as long as they don't plan to stay in their country
oh really. well i suppose that's like alot of countries
it is quite expensive but I think it's swings and roundabouts these days
food is cheaper in the UK but cigarettes and booze are much cheaper in Belgium
nbt/nbs
like france with the booze and cigarettes.food really? we think the food is expensive, especially now.in the last year my food bill has gone up £15 a week atleast
yay jill
not even a year
cigarettes in France are a lot more expensive than in Belgium, don't know about booze. food here is a good price, believe me
in fact i would say alot more in the last 6 months.my average weekly bill was £60 but now about£85
my parents have just bought me some vodka from france and it was £8 for a litre.i buy tesco cheapest which is 70cl and it is £10
I've been back for 16 months now but I still love the supermarkets!

Jill is like The Flash these days. : D
what is a typical drink to have for St. Patricks day besides beer
irish whisky?
Bailey's
potato vodka
sounds right but I don't have any and not sure I wuld like it. Bailey's I like and vodka. I can just pretend my gin is made of potatoes :)
my O keeps sticking
Poteen (lets get her really sloshed)
haha
guinness
I would either vomit or go to sleep
that is if I had too much to drink of anything, not that I am speaking frm personal experience
You could get a miniature of Bailey's and make yourself a mud slide.
I love Bailys. may just buy the regular size
I'm off to bed - I give up on this one
Well then, pour a shot in your coffee and you are all set.
if I remember correctly Baileys is full of calories
that is a great idea, Molls
night foffle.sweet dreams and tc
night night lillian
Well, there are times when you can not think about calories for a while. There is no such thing as a Skinny Girl Mud Slide. : )
i can't stand baileys.i hate cream and coffee, plus coffee makes me sleep
1st pr7/32 pls
yes, mam @ Molls
Plural of what you do with an iron.
we watched devil wears praada tonight which i love but when it was said that a size 6 was fat, i cringed.no wonder kids today are anorexic
Oh, I have that, I need the one after pls
Give a test before
well, not all, there are alot of obese kids too
ty Mlolls
I find the whole obsession with thinness disturbing, L.
ty molls
Hi again :)
wb smores
yeah.. I don't care for the death camp look these days
I'm not sure why women are so hung up on it. Men don't find it sexy or attractive at all.
Agree
*ties fingers *
*Tries to figure out comment that is being stifled*
I try to stay fit but am not obsessed at all.
I have always been thin/slim
Yes, there is a difference between eating healthy and being obsessed with every bite you put in your mouth.
me too peri....until I hit my 40's...now I have to watch it a bit
but you're built that way peri.you don't starve yourself
Middle age and menopause are a bitch.
true
<---finishing a piece of butterscotch cream pie :)
but I am getting a roll around my middle :(
lol...Molly, yep.
As the estrogen fades, so does your metabolism. Unless you are one of those blessed with the metabolism of a jackrabbit.
i've always been small and no hips but always eaten what i wanted but kept fit, and now i'm in early menopause which i've been for the last 8 years and not been able to walk i have put on a bit of weight.it gets me down but then i think there's alot i can do and i'm not obese or anything.now, i just think, eat what you enjoy as we never know what is around rthe corner , so enjoy life while we can
Amen lilliann :)
6 bbl to finish
Good philosophy L. I'd rather not have my last meal be two almonds and a half cup of cottage cheese.
bye for now peri :)
lol..."takes last bite of pie"
molly, i was looking at what you put earlier and wondered what the L meant, and now i've just realized as i said last night about lilliann lol.
told you my memory is crap :)
Hey, you don't have to tell me twice. : D
it's nearly midnight here and i'm snacking on a leftover popadom from tea
popadom?
i know...it makes me sick molly...pffft lol
indian crispy thing
I had to look it up Bich.
we had an indian takeaway as my parents can't get one in france.well, not where they live
oh, yes, papdams
papadams or the like
sounds nice
Used today as an excuse to make a pie :)
I'm not a curry fan so Indian food is not on my hit parade.
i don't eat indian much as i'm not a spicey person, but i eat a korma and a chapatti
aye, sorry, bich, i spelt it wrong
Love samosas
i have eaten enough samosas to last a lifetime.my last partner was indian and his wife used to make them home made about twice a week
potatos, peas and enough indian spices to melt you tongue
glad it is done anyways.got tiring watching the entire family look at me in fascinated horror if i forgot and brought a ham sandwich to work
That is my problem with spicy food. I like to actually be able to taste what I'm eating.
indeed,i found that it simply masked the flavour of food
was like the food merely existed for the spice and not the other way around
evening all! right column done
howdy dan
apparently, according to cooking programmes, food should never be that hot that it burns your tongue and then you can't taste the flovours
hi dan
learnt today that Pope Francis is the first to take a new, singular papal name since the 10th century. Also learnt that there was a Pope Lando in the 10th century.
hottest dish i ever had with them in all the 2 years was what appeared to be a simple bowl of steamed basmati rice.i have no idea what they put on it but i was not right for days
i am sure lando would be proud:)
Well, the man is known for his humility. Just taking a singular name fits in with that.
one of my best friends at secondary school was indian and they had a whole garage full of shelves and all the shelves where filled with huge jars full of different herbs and spices
my middle name is Francis, so I approve, whatever that is worth.
Aye Daniel Francis. A fine, fine name indeed. Went to school with a bunch of them. : )
Hello all, back again for a few....
Well, I do think Pope Frances is starting out well....
lol, getting near st patties day and everyone starts using aye.all we need is a keg of green beer and a case of nice single malt irish whiskey
wb jill
and, crossy....my homemade pasties!
i say aye and i'm not irish :)
pasites!!!!
lol,lillian aye:)
no...pasties.... ;)
Dozens of people now think Jill is a stripper. : P
i don't know what is worse, green beer or whisky!!
it's also a scottish word and geordie word :)
you can have the beer,i will take the whiskey
Set to make pasties for the year this Saturday. 5# coarse ground flank steak, 10# potatoes, 5 onions, and crust made with lard...
not my usual tipple, but i will sacrifice myself in honor of the day
i don't want either.my husband likes guinness
I'll take my friends irish coffee any day...one or two and I'm under the table
ahh, crust made the old way:)) they say it is evil stuff now,but nothing does it better
Good Lord, are you cooking for an army?
Recipe from an old Butte family recipe
LOL Molly, once a year I make them for our party plus enough to freeze to eat for the rest of the year...it's quite a job...
From Grandma Bertha. Bertha Butte. She was one of the Butte sisters.
You'd be in danger saying THAT in Butte MT...
I think I'd be in danger because of a lot of things if I were in Butte.
I like cute Butte
I like cute Butte
ahhh girl ya gotta come out with me to Butte for the Celtic festival....we'd have a blast!
double the pleasure double the fun eh ruru
Good evening Babblers
And yes Crossy, the ONLY way to make the crust is lard...going traditional is good! Now off to a meeting...hagn all, bbl to finish...*poof*
howdy wht
And Molly, I haven't started the grid yet, so I won't be finishing in 10 minutes.
bye jill, tc
hi wht
Ah, The Flash is gone again. She's like a little bunny these days.
Hi Wht. Proceed at your own pace. Unless you have something to say about lard, pasties or buttes.
lol...go to put leftovers away, come back to lard, pasties and buttes :)
*imagines bunny with pasties*
wow...ruru...lol
I love the new Save The Bunny commercials. Very cute marketing strategy.
i have something to say about butts:))
all men do crossy
i now have lardy butts and pasties in head
Lardy Butts And Pasties sounds like a pub song.
sounds like some new garage bands lillian
lol.well, if we could write a song, you never know. we couldn't be any worse than some of the bands /singers out there with wierd names
*weird
If it were a band, the interneters who refuse to spell would call them LBAP
oh, thinking od singers, reminds me of what i read on yahoo news last night about lady gaga and her gold wheelchair....mmm, well i don't know what to say about that...apart from getting annoyed
I don't get the appeal of Gaga.
lol molly.i quite like that :)
gaga makes some people gaggag
i like some of her songs and i like that she's different but.....
it just annoyed me with having a custom made wheelchair for a hip operation.here we get crutches, which are probably better as you have to do some movement.i don't want a gold one but a reclining seat would be nice, perhaps i'm just jealous.at the end of the day it's her money spent
She needs too much attention for my taste.
good evening fellow babblers :-)
her eyes, they shine like the diamonds, you think she was queen of the land and her hair hung over her lardy pastie butt, tied up in a black velevet bannnd..arroooo
lol...crossy
i just think it was way over the top.if she was going to be in the wheelchair for life, then yes, it's her money spent and she wants to be different.i have no problems with that as i have a bright yellow and shimmery blue one as i don't want to be like everyone else.i want a chair that shows my personality, but i just think, if you're going to spend that amount of money, spend it on better causes
((Crossy)), ((Smores)) and dear, dear (((Lilliann)))
that's a number 1 for sure crossy.we could sell millions and all have gold anything
Hi Mom :)
(((((mom))))) lovely to see you.long time no see.how are you and your family?
(((Lilliann)) lovely to see you as well. We are all fine. Sweetie is recupperating from back surgery. :-( How are you and your family? Is your darling still out of town a lot? and your bairn?
*awful lot of hugging going on around here*

the thing with babble is that there are hundreds of us from all over the world, different castes, creeds, languages so what one person gets as a clue the other doesn't, so i'm happy to get any clue whether i understand it or not, but i must admit i will struggle on and won't ask for another clue if i didn't get the first one as i don't want to offend anyone

L, people take offense at the drop of a hat around here. It's impossible to avoid doing that, no matter how hard you try. I got reprimanded last week for saying that I can't believe someone didn't know who Carole King is.

American, yes, popular music, if you google her you will find some of her songs. Natural Woman, I feel the earth move...
It was in reference to the word tapestry, which was the title of a Carole King album that was one of the best-selling albums of all-time, with over 25 million copies sold worldwide.

You've Got A Friend is probably her most famous. She and James Taylor sang it.

Thank you, RoundBarn! I will look forward to them!
if you're talking about the et8, there's no y in it
it's a verb
