Do you want a clue? I have one from Cos earlier.
sure, would appreciate that.
cos' clue -someone who is hired for short period of time, then a noise you make when confused - but others added that the end bit is the way Canadians finish their sentences
11 left here - not finding this as easy as I thought!
aha! that worked perfectly, got it, thank you!

thanks, lynxxx, got it...fireworks and off to bed
sweet dreams Button and congrats!
thanks, good luck
this is a joke, right?
Small grids like this one are not that unusual ...and even smaller ones.
but no fun for tiros like me and hello, BR
I agree .... Hello Ruby
weather is getting weirder and weirder
yesterday we had a brutal cold windstorm, snow again (not much) last night and now a wan cold sun is shining
Yes, that too.
As Enable is the final arbiter of words that make the list, Dr_God's program is arbiter of the size of the grid.
fie on him!
Dr_God has told me he has not control over the size of grid. I reminded him he wrote the program ... he stills says it is done at random ... like he cannot change his own program.
moan
uh oh, now my words won't go in
sorry about tht
nothing to be sorry about ... it happens far too frequently
especially with me
We are under the spell of a malison.
don't know that word; is it French?

hello everyone
(((Annie))) good morning!
hello Welki! I didn't see you pop in
hi, annie (had veggie cream cheese when i was back east - yum!)
are you glade to be home?
((Mom)) good morning to you too? A baby grid today, I see.
and it is a killer, for me anyway
tough question, mom - yes, glad to be home on some levels, but hard to leave those babies behind
Hi welki! Wasn't it just divine? Did Jersey look any different to you ?
it would have to be tough
always is - same thing when they visit here. maybe someday, we'll be able to be closer
welki, I'm having veggie cream cheese on a bialy right now
Welki, you are originally from the US
annie, it was great - i picked some up, and nova lox and whitefish salad - a feast!
what is a bialy, Annie?
yep, from new york/new jersey. moved here 16 years ago
job transfer or wanted a change of scenery? if you don't mind my asking
bialy = a little bit o' heaven
It resembles a flattish sort of roll, with a center filled with onion and baked. O
The onions become carmelized and it is made of gluten flour. Best I can do.
we have nothing like that here
Welki said it better.
:-)
if I ever see them here, I will be sure to pick some up
i didn't make it down to the shore, annie, so other than some tree damage, jersey looked pretty much the same to me. besides, i was busy looking at the kids :)
I love babies, so sweet and innocent
I love babies too
the move was just a result of changing circumstances, mom, nothing too complicated
so glad you enjoyed yourself and so glad you are back home.
in the picture are you sitted in front of TO?
welki, do you ever miss living back east?
:)
yes i do, annie - would move back in a heartbeat if we could
maybe, one day
phone
that said, i have a pretty good life here - grass is always greener
do your children visit often?
seems like someone's always here or we're there, but not often enough - there's usually an extended visit by the kids in the summer and one in the fall
summer will be here soon and they will be there
and i sure owe the creator of Skype a big thank you
isn't it wonderful?
puny little grid..hmmpf

come on down :-) .. . altho we'll be back in the 50s next week -- bixarro weather -- coooold yesterday
*bizarro
yeah, strange spring - again! we've been getting the on again/off again spring like jill too... the flowers are very confused
I would dearly love to see steady spring weather...ready to get my hands dirty!!
a fellow gardener, i presume?
:-)
have had jonquils and hyacinths for awhile now -- and my potted amaryllis are popping open -- sooo pretty!
Nothing here yet...but trees are budding
and snowy bells started opening this week :-)
can anyone clue the first te6?
:)) the daffys in the gardens were actually up about 2-3 inches a month ago, when wwe had a very nice warm spell. crocuses have just started to bloom, tulips not very much in evidence yet
missing that one too lbuxx
i haven't listed. have 2 te 6
tulip tree & pear tree in bud
hi all!
the guy who fixes your computer
hey sue!
didn't start this one earlier as it is too small but now it is lunch time :-)
hi une!
and hawthorn about to pop open :-)
the first is a person who works in IT - te 6/24 the second i have is te 6/27 start with the "fill-in" worker and add the canadian version of "huh"
oh, our trees have decided to sleep in this year...
thanks, kate!
TY...missed the one vowel and techno was phantom
ahh thanx LeslieAnn! btw - my name's Leslie too :-)
and the "fill-in worker" could be enticed to extend their stay?
Can I have a clue for em 6 please?
leslieann, thought of you earlier when i stumbled onto www.kindnessranch.org -- the rescue and rehabilitate animals that have been used for research -- and adopt out if possible -- amazing place
there's an em 6?????
*they
extend the flightless bird
LOL....yes kate...was surprised to see three six letter words in agrid this size
yes. it has an native american indian tribe at the end. don't know the meaning.
refuse to list, with only 44 little stinkers to find ;)
<---!!FW!!
te6/24?
yay jilly!!!!!
12:06 holly
em6, an uprising or riot, from the French
yay Jill!
woooot jill!
lbuxx - i am in and out here, but it is a great name :)
te6/24 is a soy-based meat substitute often found in the health food store
i hadn't heard of that one unea!
Well, must head out....have fun babblers...ttfn
me either - wish wyoming wasn't so far away
bye jilly
bye jill, hagd!
bye Jill!
i use te6 in veggie soups and chili
what are the stats for the em 6 please?
em6/24
sorry, just monkeyed the em 6, thanks!
thanks, uusue....got it!
the hint about the french derivative really helped, ty sue!
not awake here - derivation....
yw! I know a fair amount of French (although it is getting increasingly rusty) and don't remember that word, though
did you and frank have some "celebration cake" yesterday after the great news sue?
no, he's usually pretty exhausted after a long chemo day, so we will celebrate today or tomorrow. We will definitely celebrate, though!!
speaking of french . . . my daughter leaves for Paris tomorrow!
suze!!
hi crossy!
what i missed the great news
*hands some sparklers to sue*
and I am jealous of your daughter, une!!
how wonderful une! is she going for a long time?
UMich is sending her to a publishing conference :-)
Frank's 3-month PET scan was completely clean, Leslie - no sign of cancer!
oh wow. that is fantastic!
I was raised by French Canadian parents and I never heard that word either.
a week work-related, then a week with her dad who's coming over (he's french and lives here in Nashvegas)
in Quebec, penquis?
.. it's not that i knew the word, just the way letters tend to combine in french...
lol, nashvegas :-))
:-)
another clue for te6 please? i live right next door to a whole province of french canadians and have no idea from clues posted
one is your IT guy>.>
the other is a soy meat substitute
have that one
i mean the one that is a meat alternative
start with the "fill in worker" and add the canadian version of "huh"
almost a city in Arizona
the meat alternative starts with the non-permanent worker (te4/6) and ends with a canadian interjection (which you should know :-)
ty kate..never seen the word in my life
methinks there are lots of strange words in here today ;)
well, it sure isn't bacon, crossy :-)
I like that clue uusue2
Maine
I had French in school for ten years (Catholic schools)
thanks, pablo :-)
lol, suze,my entire life is not ruled by bacon you know.there are other things like..err..well..i have a wife..and..mmm.what else..well there are other things!
ah, you are close enough to the border that french would serve you better than spanish pen!
Trust me, crossy, the te6 stuff is like tofu and you would not like it
i thought tofu was bad enough, nevermind an alternative for it!!
I have one left... Clue for ch 5/14 please?...I have tried everything!
Yes, I grew up in a mostly French background city...Have relatives in Canada.
almost and italian goodbye,pen
not true!!!! when i sub the crumbles in chili no one notices it's not beef!!
lol, some chili you would not notice if you put hyena meat in it:))
true LOL
or old socks for that matter
thanks, crosshair
np,pen
I actually like it but I eat pure soy imitation grape nuts for breakfast, covered in yogurt. I don't think crossy would like that either :-)
and thanks for the ch5 word, crossy, it is weird
tis an odd one
we served lots of donated ground venison this winter in our soup kitchen -- in pasta sauce, chili, casseroles -- inly a couple of guys asked if it was Bambi :-)
*only
venison is a treat in what ever dish it is in
hunters donated 1500 lbs!!
Why soy grape nuts instead of the real thing?
but very lean, caution must be taken if used in roasts
I still have some frozen ground venison in my freezer, better make a shepherd's pie with it soon - we are starting to move out
wow! 1500 pounds is a good haul
they are gluten free, molly, and high in protein and fiber, and I can buy them in bulk cheaply
marinated in red wine . . . yum -- but not appropriate for our homeless guys!
I don't have to eat gluten free, but Frank does, so I try to keep gluten stuff out of the kitchen
anyway I am off to lunch, bbl
bye sue!
called away for a minute, thanks for the ch word crossy
mm,lawyer speak in the grid two days in a row.this does not bode well.will most likely be dealing with lawyers within a week now
np,kate
That's interesting. I think venison has a very distinct smell. Must just be me.
reading a babble grid is almost like owning a deck of old time tarrok cards
i agree molly, but it is very tasty if prepared well - danger of drying out if not careful though
it does, molly.the iron content is much higher and a keen nose can detect it even before tasting
lawyer words crossy?
deer are funny that way.that is why when we used to hunt we never let a wounded one run any longer than was possible. a deer can replace blood at an amazing rate when the wound is small, but if you let it run and run,the iron content gets so high the meat is inedible, nevermind the fact that you do not let an animal suffer
stats for the f please; need that and the second o for nbt - and only 14 left to find!
fe 5 /15= a bad smell american spelling
the things you learn in babbleland, interesting crossy

Being land locked, means all "fresh" fish is more like "questionable" so I don't buy it.
the last M is to portion out.
that's how I feel, knut, the fresh fish is NOT
land locked is not nice sounding.i have never lived more that 5 minutes from a large body of water
ty,knutmeg
ty knut
here you can go get your fish while it is still blinking at you, knutmeg
when I was a kid, my father would go fishing and bring home fish that were alive which my mother would have to thwack
yw. we've lakes and lakes of catfish, and Lake Michigan is a 20 minute drive, but most of our grocery stores don't buy from local fishermen, they buy from suppliers that flash freeze and ship.
i remember as a child my da and i going out in the pre-dawn,the smell of the water and the fog haze hanging over the still water and we would set outquietly with the waking sound of the loons in our ears and the plink of the dew dripping off the ends of our rods and making endless circles in the water.the second the sun peeked over the horizon to burn the fog off the water,we would make our first cast.ahh i miss the shore breakfasts...
4, found the strange na4
lovely, crossy

we will bring you on home ruby!!
I'm out of time boo hiss
that's a nice memory cross. My one fishing excursion as a child was horrifying. My best friend and I borrowed a couple of poles from her dad and walked to the local lake (a man-made affair created in the 60s) and dropped our lines off the pier. The fish were excited and bit right away and I pulled up my first ever catfish... that literally had three eyes, and more whiskers than necessary. I screamed all the way home, and left my poor friend with the fun task of reporting the fish to the local conservation district. Eating fish from that lake was banned immediately, and they're still working to restore the lake, nearly 20 years later.
bah! tell everyone to wait
that is horrible knut
that is sad indeed, knutmeg.a beautiful thing was tainted for you
my only bad fishing story was catching a nasty large Brown eel that was so scary looking that I cut my line
It made me aware of the dangers of man-made lakes, chemical dumping, and the need to support our conservation districts.
I'll have to come back for the last 3 or husband will shoot me
what are you missing??
i can still smell my dads after shave and the smell of the strong coffee from the red and checker thermos, and the smell of the outboard.the silence going slowly through water than looked like fabric cut from the night itself but dawn, dawnings on the water are worth all those days of getting up at 4 am.the gentle first touch of heat on your face and you get to casting.it is a quiet world just the two of you fishing. then the excitment as the rod bends over for the first time of the day:)
Its peaceful just to read. :)
:)
sorry,i tend to ramble sometimes
nagh, its fine. Makes me think back, what do I remember fondly? Best childhood memory was riding my bike a few blocks over to the strip of forested land between our subdivision and the cornfields. I'd bring my walkman and a book, climb through the bramble to a "secret" hideout. There I'd scramble up the tree to a forked limb six feet or so up and settle in, listening to the tormented strains of Beethoven or Tchaikovsky and reading for hours.
lol, figured you were younger when you said walkman.i had a old japanese transistor radio that took the old square 9 volt batteries my allowance was 25 cents a week so week one i would get a bag of chips and a pop but week two took the entire 25 cents for a bettery for the radio and i would just alternate
so i have to be thrifty with the transistor and make the battery last two weeks
5 cent return deposit on the pop bottle though for candy
I was a music nut (knut?) so my parents would always get me a boombox or walkman for my birthdays. I didn't have an allowance as mine was used for private lessons (I played French Horn), but I used babysitting money to buy blank tapes and record off the radio or steal from my parent's collection. I was probably 11 or 12 at the time.
cool
amusingly, I don't think my daughter would have a clue what to do with a cassette. She could probably figure out a CD... if we had any.
should of seen my son when he found my old 8-track tapes in the back of the closet
miss2bit expects all screens to respond to touch & swipe. Including the TV
heck,i used to have a 16 track reel to reel.beautiful sound but only 15 minutes per reel so you learned to splice tape in a hurry
We had an 8-track player in our garage when I was a little kid with a box of 8 tracks. My dad wouldn't let us try them though. We also had a turntable until my parents moved away in 1999.
hehe,thats cute,dan
she is a child of the modern age for sure
definitely
my son looks at me funny when i told him we used to buy an entire record just to get one song:)
My daughter is the same, dan. She's a pro at many platforms, though. Made a clever play for a Nintendo 3DS for her birthday next week by creating a "commercial" on her computer explaining that her old DS is ready to retire. She's turning 7 next week.
wish you were closer knutmeg.i have a nintendo wii gather dust.thing only has two week of play on it.first 100 dollars can have it
used it for two weeks, did not care for it and i packed it back in the box and it has been in the coset ever since
closet
we've one of those, already. My husband is a semi-professional beta-tester for many games, so anything game related is generally bought prior to its release date.
interesting knutmeg.i was an official beta tesyer for call of duty, battlefield 1942 and several other games as well as admin on gamespy.com
gamespy is mostly legacy software now;((
it outlived it's usefulness
That's cool. He is currently Alpha testing Defiance and beta-testing a Marvel RPG. I think he has three or four other games he is beta-testing, too, but those are his two main projects.
i never cared for alpha testing.that is like hacking away the errors.i like beta as it is hunting down and correcting those last few bugs and easter eggs
nthing like amking it perfect so it can go gold on schedule
making
wow,i need a typist for me
If it makes you feel better, I'm down a thumb, so the spacebar is tricky. Defiance is a weird one. He was a beta, and was moved into Alpha because of his reporting. Their main game is done, but the DLC and some of the cross-platform content is being updated.
I think the game comes out in a month.
yes, that is a issue we did not have to deal with as much.cross platforming means giving up something to make it run on all systems.sometimes you have to water a computer game down to make it viable for the wii for example
like microsoft did for windows 8.it is a so-so os for the computer, but they had theri flagship windows tablet coming out and had to make it work with both
their
Yeah, he's testing on the PC, so what was once detailed is now not so, and vice versa. But they're getting there.
they figure tablets will grow and overtake desk top computer sales very soon.heck,i have a new tablet coming this summer that is quad core and almost a desk top replacement.actually it IS a laptop replacent
as cloud computing becomes more mainstream we find that a optical drive is almost not needed
cloud,p2p downloads, digital hard drives.heck the computer disk itself is an endangered species
I'm not sure it will happen as quickly as they think though. My husband and I are in the market for a replacement for my laptop. And weighing what we need vs. cost has led us to realize that we need a desktop, not a laptop or tablet. Its like going backwards almost. We have two tablets, though. the Originial iPad and an Google Nexus, and find the iPad to be our second TV, and the nexus to be more of a book.
i bought my mrs a toshiba lappy it is quad core with two seperate video cards,1 dedicated for gaming and 8 gig or ram and a terra drive.all for 800 dollars.it is indeed a desktop replacement
i have heard good things about the nexus 10,but am going for a asus transformer infinity tablet
If we can find a good gaming laptop for about that price range, then I prefer a laptop. Who sits at desks anymore?? (Especially since I don't have a desk)
i highly reccomend a toshiba like i bought the mrs
it had the a10 quad core chipsets
she can play skyrim on it with settings maxed
it is more powerful than the desktop i am on now lol
Yeah, skyrim and Star Wars are the two games I want to play. I bought this laptop without considering gaming needs and have spent the last two years frustrating the hell out of my husband.
hi all, down to 2 words left. one 5 letter and one 4

Okay, this gets my vote for grossest drink EVER. Bethenny Frankel's Irish Eyes Are Smiling: 1/2 parts Skinnygirl Cucumber Vodka and six parts green tea. Blech.
the last word i need is probably the first c word in the list, though i have not listed... someone said there was a word before "the cook", but could use the stats, if anyone has them please?
I have a ch4/6 before the cook.
First c word is ch4, like Italian goodbye.
<baaaarffff> hi molly! they had a contest for the worst drink ever -- winner - a warm martini with too much vermouth.... and a hair!
Without the i
Oh but certainly the drink I mentioned was not in the contest.
thank you molly! fw at last!!!!
that sounds truly disgusting, molly

There is no vermouth in good martinis. : D
metro had a load of st pat's drinks and they were all yummy. that was just plain gross.
you're just suppose to pass the bottle lightly by the mixing glass :)
what is metro TO?
i can share some if anyone wants to hear them. metro = newsrag
Nice to meet you too
Since I only drink straight liquor, mixed drinks don't usually appeal to me but the recipe for that one gave me the geebies.
really

i am going to happy hour with true half price drinks, so iwm,ay bring a few recipes with me. it is the time to try stuff.

only better time is fre open bar:)
waiting patiently... an open bar is never a bad thing :)
does anyone need clues? closing time here soon...
i do officially declare the bar open and happy hour begun!
Good idea TO. Most bartenders will make you whatever you want if you have the recipe.
wooot fo TO! thanks!
No one has to tell me the bar is open twice. Whoosh.
molly, you may like thisone. "Honey I'm Home":bushmills, limewedge, splash of anostura and ginger ale
Yes, that is one I would try.
oh wait, it's bushmills irish honey. honey lavored whiskey is a trend now
Honey in just about all liquor is a trend now. My friends that still tend bar don't like it. It makes a sticky mess on the back bar. : )
or the irish ward: tulaamore dew, grenadine, fresh lemon juice and fresh orange juice. almost sounds healthy.
i like the sound of that one TO

Hello all. Congrats cosdem!!
what you started drinking without me?
hi all
I will take my irish whiskey straight up please
Hi jmc. Trying to get 44 words. Would you like that warmed with spices?
no no i am a purist
Cos, what happened to the corned beef you bought?
i thought i would take a break and find a couple more words. . .i have 19 left
homemade?
oh store boughten. . . that's fine. . .
I don't know anyone who corns their own beef anymore.
i was listening to the whateveritis table on radio on the way home from nj about how to do it. . .
the splendid table
that's it . . . hi TO
je, there is a cajun polka dance coming up apr6 at the bumper ar pavillion at glen echo
its seemed fairly straight forward. . .
i am a fan of splendid tablle.
i doubt i will feel i could get away before april 15. . .
ok. they hold dances once a month
or you could come here after that
okay may is much more likely. . . but i am tied up the first weekend in may either in texas or the 50th ann. of a peace org. or in brooklyn with my new great niece.. . . that weekend is going to suck
It's not "hard" to make your own corned beef. But it's a lot easier to let someone else do it for you.
well what can i say. . . i make my own pickles.
okay i am down to 15 left so i am back to the salt mines!
get to work, je!
bye all . . .bbl
I make pickles and they are good home made. There is an element of "freshness" there. Not so much with meat. Unless you butcher your own too.
Going to read a little. 3 left and they are being tricky.

Ooh begob n begorrah!! Tis doin' me heart good to see all them Irish flags flyin' in Babble. To be sure to be sure!
Hi everybody. :-)
Did you hear the ec4? It's dead as a door nail in here.
Don't even have time to listen for an ec/4,,, i'm just in the door, quick shower, 40 winks, then I'm on the road again to pick up Son of Soodle in approx 7 hours.
Good. It always brings your spirits up when he is around.
For sure Molly. And, en route from the airport, we're going to divert to see my Mom, who will also be bolstered by a visit from this Wonder-kid!!
And he can raise a glass with his Ma on St. Patrick's Day. Good lad.
Or two.....
My heathen son has gone to New Orleans for a bachelor party.
21 yr old daughter of Soodle really throws herself into the whole St Patricks Day thing! Flashing green earrings, luminous green false eyelashes, just a tad OTT!
Well, at least she's festive. I'll take that over the dull and lifeless any day.
Don't worry Molls. I'm sure New Orleans will paint the town Green too! :-)
Oh there isn't a worry in the world. The crowd he runs with are hard core party boys.
Shower water hottened up! Good night all.
still cant get that t in ihe bottom right, asked for help earlier but to no avail, got the bit about the non-perm employee but can't figure out the rest...

Several Italian good byes, a fancy term for cook and what your jaws do to food...
ch 5/18 is a BIG bite
it's the good-byes that I can't spell
add a vowel to the pet for one of them
And my phone battery is getting low ...better bow out for now ...bbl!

could I have help with ep5,14 and te6,27 please/
ep5/14 = ep + come blow your ***n
te6/27 = non-permanent worker (te4/6) + Canadian interjection
rasta, if you're on--I can't get any more words even with some clues. You need to hide this game on my computer like Spider, I muat have an addictive personality to some games even ones I can't do well.
techan
more stereotypically Canadian, tessa :-)
and hi RoundBarn, have you tried using lickety's clues?
fireworks!
glad to see you're on, I'll stay a little longer. No, I haven't tried Lickey, I will. and I sld pay the paltry sum and be pro, then I'd get the stats, I need to ask daughter rasta what some of the abbreviations mean. sshe was here recently from the west while I had a foot op, and put me onto this. Now you are my friend, and I feel others are.
it's a wonderful community, RoundBarn. I took a vacation last August and visited several babblers; we all had a wonderful time. And the stats are very helpful!
help please te6/24
Thank you uusue!
the guy who fixes your computer, shorty
and yw, tessa!
thank you
that te6 24 seems to bother many players. I'll stop in DeK one of these visits north, uusue. Have to get my taxes to delavan wis tax guy, see D#4,and see an editor prob next wkend--also you're in school.
how do you tune in to Lickety? Does he have to be on line?
I'm a chair, RoundBarn, so am busy whether the students are around or not - it would be awesome just to take a break for coffee!
no, just click on the link under the puzzle that says "Lickety's Babble Clues". It will give you the first two letters and points for each of the words in the grid, and you can copy and paste your whole word list into it so you can see what you are missing.
Thanks, uusue!
Anyone: I've looked now--who IS Lickety, does he do this for fun ?
roundbarn, lickety is the ex-husband of one of our founding players. he made the program with can extrapolate all words found in the grid.
He doesn't actually play the game, but keeps up his site so we can get the clues. Every once in a while he doesn't update it and then we are all lost :-)
we really, really appreciate Lickety!!
he then posts the clues for us. sometimes he is busy with his kids i.e. on weekends or when it is his turn to have them for a while. but he is usually very reliable.and weall are very grateful for his assistance.
hi babblers
roundbarn, the list is based on 'Enable ' dictionary. it is just a list of words, no meanings. hence, you can see the question mark to the left of your word list. if you click on that, a dictionary meaning opens for you.

CRACKERSnTEA??? did you forget which way is up? *confused mama look*
but hello... ;-)
how are the cookie sales going/
somehow, I cannot sign in under my e-mail, etc. and when I reregistered, I had to switch it up.
they are going. I will be so glad when March is over.
weird. Dr G could probably fix it?
no biggie. G should get to go first sometimes ;)
LOL we will ALL be glad when March is over. It's hard to have to keep saying no... (allergies mean we can't eat those cookies)
true, but it was discombobulating for me at first. I thought you were an imposter!
I am so pleased you are enjoying subbing.
ohmigosh!
I have decided I do not want to be a kindergarten teacher when I grow up, though.
next week, I sub for first grade for 4 days - we shall see how that goes.
They are a fun age, first graders. MUCH more independent and capable than kindergartners. Generally speaking...
I enjoy that age, just my body doesn't let me do the things that need doing.
I really enjoy 2nd and 3rd the best. But, I've subbed quite a bit for this 1st grade class, so we get along well.
Last time I subbed in first grade I spent the next six weeks back on cane and crutches.
oy
I can do 2nd grade easier, but they are still really hard on the tricky hip. 3rd is about as little as I could commit to as a full-time permanent gig.
Truthfully, as difficult as the kids I am with right now have been, I really enjoy middle school. This was an extreme case, and coming in mid-year the way I did made it even harder. Things are actually pretty smooth now...
I'm glad to hear that. I have decided that 4 days a week is a little much, with all of our other commitments, but this teacher is having surgery on Tuesday, so I made an exception.
When I do the day-to-day subbing a four-day week is MORE than enough, energy-wise (but barely enough money-wise).
Having a multi-week gig, despite the long hours grading and planning, is easier on me during the day because I have down-time even when I have kids in class.
it will be a little easier next year since the kids will be in the same school again. this two different elementary schools is a PITA
As a one- or two-day sub I have to be alert ALL the time when kids are in the room, which I find is more draining.
OH!!!! I AM DOWN TO THREE!!!!
How on Earth did you do that? awesome!
thanks Champ -- I was monkeying while listening to my froggies outside.
Tea -- did you see this about a troop down in Portland? I cannot believe anyone would be so terribly cruel to children. http://www.komonews.com/news/local/198\n559251.html
sorry about the long url... *sigh*
as sad as it is, it doesn't surprise me. One of our troops took a counterfeit $100 bill a couple of weekends ago - the lady bought one box of cookies, so they were out $104, basically.
Last weekend, there was a lady going to all the Walmart cookie booths passing stolen checks. She passed two for $80 and one for $100. Evil evil people.
Why do people even think it's appropriate? That's what bothers me. There are people who actually don't see anything wrong with stuff like that. I had a student once tell me that it wasn't illegal if you didn't get caught... I know that student had heard it from parentals.
The lady passing stolen checks - one of our leaders took her picture as she was getting in her car, and then took a picture of her license plate. She had the gall to go into the store and complain to security that the Girl Scouts were bothering her.
I'm pooped and I give up! Night all!
Good for that leader!
Tea ((((hugs)))) I hope you'll have a lovely weekend.
Sweet dreams!
monkeyed the last one.
Do you need any clues, Champ?
Guess Not....
have a lovely weekend, all!!
