Yes, Eva, he does. He's very big, but has this plaintive little squeak. He was a stray but was only about 6 months old at most, yet had already been doctored. I dont think his voice had a chance ti develop!

How long has she been doing it, lizmac? And what's the temperature where you live? I've find they moult seasonally, but also if the temperature changes. Unless there's a hormonal problem. Hope not!
we brush Merp every morning with a wire brush. If it's really excessive, then you should talk to the vet. The brushing removes some hair intentionally, and is also good for the fur. As hydra says, usually the peak molting is when it is getting warmer.
Trouble is she's a housecat(apart from her travels in the caravan) as she's deaf, so she's also getting fat. Have you ever tried feeding a greedy cat on 2ounces of cat food a day...talk about harrassment ! She's about 2 and has always moulted profusely
That white/deaf genetic combo is a frequent one. I wonder if there are other things in that genetic coding?

If you saw a ful length photo of Merp you would know that I don't have a solution for the weight issue. If they don't go out and are relatively inactive, they don't burn fat and also dont have a whole lot else to look forward to. Merp used to be fairly casual about food, and ws only a little overwieght, until the vet suggested cutting down. Since then he's become obsessed!
I've tried grooming and quite honestly it didn't make much difference., and she hated it.

i love to play this game for that reason too Jade. when i'm in the grid, all the other stuff seems to just disappear from my thoughts. it's a refreshing break.
i've also gotten into playing iron sudoku if i've finished the grid early.
