HI Leigh!
I drink, therefore I am...
now im depresed
you're not working on your memo.
^5 on the icon douglas
nah, i'm a tiger and my icon is misleading you, hk
I know. Yay for procrastination.
nice one, douglas
It's mostly done, though.
i'm actually kinda having fun researching.
i still see mr peanut squared, hk
mostly because i think the law is in my favor, and I'm finding lots of shexy cases.
maybe we all need to refresh
Nice. I haven't even started on the appelate brief yet. eek
our research binder is due tomorrow
ah, much better, two roosters
so of course i started it this evening around 8:30
Hey how is NORK not a wod, seriously
i'm off for the night, everyone - enjoy!
I think mine is too. Again, eek.
mostly because for some reason i thought it was due on thursday, though
uhoh
good nite ping :)
that's a lot due in one day.
back with icon
Yeah, I'm hoping he moved it to Thursday, but I didn't go to class last week, soooo...
Announcer: "Well, there's no I in ****." Leon: "Yeah, there ain't no we either."
there's no one in your class you can call?
Douglous but there is a ME
Yeah, but, you know... the laziness.
lol
it is our nemesis! we must fight the laziness!
the laziness, and doorknobs.
You have a 4th Amendment issue, right?
the last other person in the lobby area of the library just left, I feel so alone.
Oh, you're still at shool?
yeah, whether the police asking a guy at a bar for a DNA sample is an illegal search/seiuzure
back with icon!
*school
well, i never went to school today, so I'm not sure "still" is the right word. But yeah, I've been at the library since 8:30 or so researching and printing.
Sounds fun! Mine is some enemy combatant somethingorother.
oooo, that sounds like it could be interesting.
Snp said a woord
Yeah, I'm sure it will be a lot of Detainee Treatment Act stuff, which might not be so great since there's little case law.
***** Bondage by The Tubes...
Whoops! didn't even notice!
Sorry to monopolize the chat everyone.
wish you would monopolize my grid and fill in these tough words LOL
hello
volley me to
yeah, i hate it when they do that. Our first memo there was practically nothing on point. This one there aren't and hard rules for, but at least there are enough cases to outline a standard.
I'm afraid I wouldn't be much help, this is a tough one!
i am at 37 and slowly vaperising
I'm not sure you really want that, Dee, the turtle is a babble ninja
she will leave your grid decapitated
my brain must be on strike tonight; having a tough time LOL
It might be a welcome change after this last one - so many cases I couldn't keep them straight.
Hi everyone.
hi ang
hi ang
Having fun?
Hi ang
Hiya Ang! And of course we're having fun. We're playing babble instead of doing our homework.
no
love your icon, very cute especially with valentine's day coming up
depressed that i cant get a feaking job
Bad Leigh ... mine should be doing is ... I can't remember. I suffer from selective memory
Her that's bad news.
Oh, sorry to crap out on dinner, Leigh. But I got my froggy done!
it sucks alot as the lazy fck of the house just got a feaking job
pardon my rant
sweet, turtle! I'm sure he'll love it. Until the cats steal it anyway. And there are still leftovers in the fridge, I can bring them tomorrow if you like.
Like the pine trees lining the winding road...
what field are you trying to get a job in, infernal?
Sorry to hear that, infernal.
Yay! Kabob leftovers!
Um Legal sexatary
Oooh there is some funny m words
LOL my grammar is not the best tonite
hi ang
hi hug
that's a tight job market around here, too <g>. I tried for about a month to get a similar job over the summer and gave up.
I used to do that - well legal secretary not sexatary. It was really stressful and aweful, you might be better off. :)
no i want a more typing bassed job
*awful - can't spell today, or any day for that matter.
When you've found one word in this grid, you've found one word...
pr 7
nj nan!
i like that its true
not an amateur ****
Yer a clue for the PR 7 would be nice
I just gave one herin...
i didnt get it :(
trade you for the k 6's
in a bit -- give it another 15, ok?
i dont have that
I am he as you are he as you are me and we are all together. That line contains quite a few pr7's
I have the k 6's; but not the pr 7 LOL
thank you
Thanks, Doug. And yay for Beatles references.
I forget who told me that Eric Burden was the Eggman, but I learned it here...
ah, yes, i remember that conversation about the eggs, lol, but i, too don't remember who said it, chic?
doug, you must be way too smart for me; I rarely understand your clues :~)
you rang, hk?
the Walrus?
hiya chic!
hi there!
was that you that said that about the eggs?
Ana, have you heard from Andy lately? He said he was coming to the library tonight, but I haven't seen him. I hope he's not dead.
Haven't talked to him today, leigh.
di7
what you talkin' about? eggs?
i hope he's doing all right. I don't want to call, though, in case he's sleeping.
te7
We're trying to recollect who told us that Eric Burden was the Eggman in the song "I am the Walrus"
He's probably playing WOW at the Hillsdale pub.
it wasn't me....alas....
Dax di7 some say they are a girls best friend. Morning all
lol
i could log on and check, but chris is probably playing.
well they will be in a few days for most girls
while i hope he is feeling well enough to play WoW, I hope more that he is being good and working on his research
"Shine on you crazy *******" was written in honor of the late Syd Barrett...
how many words we got today?
Yep
looks like everyone is ready for clues.... pr 7: part of speech (you, me, I, we, us, etc
Haha true.
ty nan got it!!!
187 word BNL
Speaking of research... nah I'll put it off for a few more minutes.

All I have so far is Danish do-re-mi...
how many words please?
187
ta volley
danish do-re-mi with a vowel on the end
yw crone
man, the ALR is the most useful thing evar
alr?
What's that?
American Law Reports
are you talking about the kr 5 that is money?
the books on the short shelves in the lobby area of the library
My 15-year-old son took an interest in Pink Floyd. I wasn't clear whether Syd's insanity was due to his taking large quantities of LSD, or whether his taking large quantities of LSD was due to his insanity, or whether they were independent...
they have short summaries of law organized by topic with case citations and summaries on point. <3 them.
well up to 100 words.... time to retire... good night all
yes nan
Oh, those. They are very useful.
I think I should ask ALR to be my valentine. <3 <3 <3
tried every vowel and it didn't work!
Back again - nearly kids
or maybe i should ask Babble to be my valentine
But they have so many suitors.
... kid's bedtime so in and out
since it is so very lovable, and useful for procrastination
good point, turtle. I would be heartbroken if they rejected me.
But you'd have to share...
kr + double vowels + it is so *ice to see you + 3rd vowel
kr 5/20 is made with cabbage
I'm ok with that, I'm not the jealous type.
got it --- different kr 5
chic - does that mean that it can we sweet or sour?
sorry; saw that once I looked at definitions
with hot dogs too, angb!
so there are 4 k4 5's and one kr 6
hi all
that's right, volley
cool ty hi MV
Yay! Fat cat on the news!
lol, is it the one you met?
anyone have both u's from the bottom? -- have the hair style
No, but he's a bit of a fixture on channel 8. The one that broke into someones house to steal food and got stuck in the doggy door.
LOL
that is awesome
that's the same one I have too nan
A hair style u?
douglas wer you from\?
i don't know it either
Minnesota, USA, jesheil...
sorry don't have the u's yet; working on the m's
lots of women get this particular "u" hair style for special occasions, like the prom or a wedding
found it nana
Nan - oops
the great leigh said a word!
that's ok -- it's short for nana
oh, whoops! didn't even think about it.
Is it the u6?

While He was in Bethany at the home of Simon the leper, and reclining at the table, there came a woman with an alabaster vial of very costly perfume of pure ****; and she broke the vial and poured it over His head.
Arg! Can't put off the memo any longer. Bye everyone.

morning all! In for a penny....
gm sprite
good morning Sprite
hey lain, hi Hugs! *hugs Hugs*
And only now I see that K :(
hI SPRITE
the K's aren't too bad
hey Frances :)
Sorry - didn't mean to shout
there ain't such a thing as unbad Ks.
you made me feel welcome too, Fran ;)
I found 2 Ks so far that are valid, 2,357,698 that are not valid and nowhere to go. Total mental block :D
Two of them sound Dutch sprite
they do, got them, lol. And one more with a double vowel that is not valid, dutch for button. Down to 3.
yay, and a german one!
Although I see that they are a unit of currency in Estinia
Even Estonia
hi sprite; fran! don't know if I said howdy before
Estonishing Estinia
Hi Dee :)
Hi Volley
Fireworks
wtg
YAY DrB!
Well done DOC
my fingers ache from typing
teach me to do the grid on a day when all of my classes are turning work
they must, you finished so fast!
nothing bigger than a 7 greatly reduces the weird word possibilities
I don't really think it does, but most weird word possibilities with 4 or 5 letters are babblets, so not so weird anymore :)
familarity breeds rememberance
still are weird to me
ok, please help me out of my misery here. I have for Ks: 4/9, 5/20, 5/18, 5/18. What more should I be looking for?
6/30
and another 5/18
oh HELP! A K 6. Thanks DrB, will go hunt :)
They could be related (i.e., the 6/30 is related to a 5/18)
ow wow, found that 6 by monkeytyping :)
wtg
good. then my work here is done. tomorrow babblers
I had that K5 already, guess that is why the monkey got the 6. My 2 5s are almost anagrams of eachother.
Bye DrB, have a good day!
must go bye all
bye lain
ok, hand me the fish. Other vowel at the end solved the K mystery. Got them all, now 6 minutes left to babble. And then I am off, for a whole day in the sauna (is that the right word in english? Or is it spa or something?)
sauna is a steam room, spa is a place to go for manicures, massages, etc
In dutch a sauna is a place with steam rooms, swimming pools, herbal baths, whirlpools, relax rooms, restaurant - you can also get massages etc. there. A place to be spoiled rotten all day.
sounds absolutely wonderful
I promised a friend of mine to go for a full day to celebrate her birthday :) We will enjoy every second! Have a great day, all of you, and happy babbling.
see ya, Sprite, and have fun! :D
you, too sprite, have a great time
Have a wonderful day sprite
thanks!
FIREWORKS!
wtg
congrats!
Very late flip -- hi all!
No S. I see
Nobody here, I guess
Hi jilli - just home now
took the scoring over to Joan's because we're off island tomorrow
hi flosey -- sorry we didn't get to play with you!
wow, you got the whole horoscope, interesting
me too, jilli, didn't even get a chance to say hi
Why did I come here? I should be sleeping now.
you had a good night but can't tell you now how well
should get a call I think
glad to hear that, although I made a couple of really stupid goofs
oh goody!
Hi jilli
hey, we all do that - they balance out in the end
hello frances
hi namtap -- same here -- but I had to have a peek at the grid
me too, off to bed very soon, wanted to take a copy of this grid to do on the ferry
Okay, I'm too tired to play this. I just typed "doon," wondered why it wasn't a word, then realized that 'dune' is, in fact, spelled quite differently.
have a good day, flo -- I'm off soon too -- gotta get up at an early-for-me hour -- big deer-frencing job in progress
I don't see how there can be 6 K words
Me either.
wow, that is a big job jilli, good luck with it
I'm not doing it myself - lol!
just have to supervise
just supervising! a job in itself
what do you think of this grid?
I'm having a bit of trouble with it, myself.
urf this grid sucks! hi all :)
there are |NOT 6 k's..
I can only find 4.
two more than me then jen
I can only find 1. =/
The other two must need serious monkeying. --;
orning Ata Morning rolin
Hey Jillibus - notice the new icon !! that only took a few months but thanks for your help
well, it will give me something to do while waiting for the ferry, then the trip over
I got all 6 k's
finally fireworks... can't believe how long it took me
kn4x1; kr5x4; kr6x1
have a great day all!!
ty huhs

Thanks, Hugs. Looks like I'm missing one more 5 and a 6.
Congrats, Dee!
YAY volley!!!
mari -- beeeauutiful icon! Where is it?
Yay, got the 2 ks. ^^
A beach in Cuba - there in January and it was magical
lovely Mari
Isn't Cuba wonderful? I love it there
Our first visit but we will go back. The people were wonderful
Some day I'd like to get there -- that beach looks divine
I worked for the Cubans for five years. Worst paid job I ever had but most satisfying. That gave me the opportunity of going there.
hmmm...i need one kr5....
Do you have the food kr5, and the currency kr5s?
Jilli I watched a programme last night on the moving of massive "water homes " from the builders yard down to the marina village near Victoria it was amazing
i have 3 money kr's
After checking definitions, 3 of the kr5s are currency. ^^;
Four money Ks rolin
I've seen pictures of those homes and I gather the area will be expanded
frances..one of them is a 6 isnt it?
rolin one Swedish one Danish two Estonian
I would have the worry that with so many homes they will lose what they went for
Yes
One of the estonian ones is the six.
so a non money 5... maybe ill have some breakfast first..
Other K5 cabbage
I think the 6 is a sort of plural
I bet there's a lot of Klingon in this puzzle and I'm going to bed -- night all!
ramie
blast
Got that one jilli
Nite jilli. Sleep well
night Jilli
night -- *poof*

hi button
not a fun grid!!!
why do we punish ourselves like this
masochism
I expect all addicts ask themselves the same question, lol
I`m not addicted yet..lol this one isnt fun will give it a miss
For me, I choose to view completing the grid as a challenge. Nonetheless, i do not complete the grid, I still have the sarisfaction of knowing I tried. Tomorrow's grid await to try anew.
See your point babble but I just play while having the odd coffee..for relaxation..if I have to turn my brain inside out my coffee breakk would exhaust me ..lol
i try to finish if time permits and shrug it of if not but I have had a really bad day and babble is as good a way to relax as any
Then, do what works for you, which is the whole point
yes babble

thanks rolin
yw
ra7/32 ra + another way of saying that you intended
thx frances
nope
mo7 please
still dont have it
but i got a 6 ra out of it
ra7 - four letters for what falls from the sky as moisture, changing the last letter for the preceding alphabetical one, then rearrange the letters of the number marked x by the Romans.
hi haz
haz in that ra7/32?
Hello Andree - just heading out the door. Yes, ra7/32, clued as complicated as I could get!
thank you
dont have the mo7 yet
sorry my brain imploded
ok..monkeyed the mo7....a king or queen but replace the last 2 letters with a northern term for father
Thanks, rolin - off I go.
Hi and bye Haz
thanks rolin
thx rolin, good clue
thanks, rolin--that's the same as bee balm--should have known that--i've got some in my garden!
i am a slow 2 finger typist, can only mokey 4 letter words, lol
and monkey too
(I'm not here but I have to comment - funny you should mention bee balm, I'm doing a design based on that at the moment)
ive never heard of it...must be on your side of the planet
been getting 6s off the sevens
cool, ata!
so i stand in awe to all of you who can monkey the long ones
ok..so now im gonna have to google it..brb

(that didn't answer your question)
lol..s'ok
oooh this is harder going than yesterdays
it sure is rolin
noame
sorry
taking a break, back soon
morning all
how's the grid today... and what's the icon theme?
Good morning, ADHD. As the chat log will confirm, there has beem much wailing and gnashing of teeth
Good Moring All, having a hard time with this grid
found the mo7/36 and ra7/32 so far, but mostly 4 letter words
Good morning/evening again.
wow... 17 words in the first min. i'ts gonna be a tuffy
wanna clue the ra7?
ra5 cotton
ra7 - a biblical term for clothes
ooooo obaby... we've got our first storm coming... 12-20inches of snow
ramen
sorry
not a word anyway
it's too early for that clue for me... my brain isn't awake yet.. can you dummify it haz?
I don't tend to do those sorts of clues. Try changing the last letter of what falls from the sky as moisture (four letters) replacing it with the one that precedes it alphabetically. Then add a rearranged version of the number that follows nine.
i KNEW i'd be hitting myself for that one... time for the ADD meds lol... tx haz
You're welcome.
tx 30 and counting... have a feeling it's gonna be slow going
i'm off to baby sit in an hour, and i can play when the baby is napping.
it's still dark here... never played this early nice to see a familiar "face" haz
You're not the earliest from the other side of the pond, though.
what time is it there haz? it's 6:30 am here (been up since 5 weather watching)
It's 11.30 am - coffee break time.
when i started here last month, i'd stay up for the flip and do the grid till 3 or 4 am. not any more.. .cannot function on 3 hours sleep lol
It's the realisation that the grid lasts for 24 hours but that you don't necessarily have to be there alongside it.
gm all - i am taking the day off work due to weather - maybe i will finish the puzzle today
i know, that's the beauty of it, isn't it? now i try to wait till my 8 yr old grandson is here (every afternoon for tutoring) ... he loves this game.
Good morning anawalt - from comments before, it will take some work.
so i see
where r u anawaltgal?
indiana
snow or tornado territory
?
we're expecting 12-20inches of snow starting tonight
blizzard conditions - not as bad as new york though
upstate u mean. when u say NY, i think the city
yes up state
ADHD - are you from upstate NY
krone
oops sry
good morning everyone. Why am I always in Boston when the good weather arrives in Vermont?! Down here for a friend's birthday.I'm going to miss the blizzard. Sounds like it's going to be nasty in Boston too, but vermont it should be beautiful.
*whap across the head*
Hello Eva.
ana, you're not going to work?
Boston will get a foot Eva.. just wait... a foot or more
any clues for the mo7? Is it a lunar compound?
Eva - where you from in VT - I'm in Fair Haven
over 600 schools are closed here - parents beware
It sounds like a lot of it may be in the form of ice in Boston
ana???????
tomorrow will be like that here... and I CAN'T WAIT
yes
and it's so cold, the snow will stay for a while
will I wake up your family if I call?
i am staying home katy
no - cell phone is by me
r u watching the weather channel? if u r... don't, they are rarely accurate on the east
mo7 king or queen drop the last 2 letters and nickname for father shortened to 2 letters
Emti-I'm from a small town 15minutes from Montpelier. You'll have to enjoy it for me and report back.
mo7 - starts off like Miss Lisa in the Louve, a consonant then the beginning of Mr Quayle.
ok, let me get mine then, I don't have that number memorized.
oh katy... i just love your icon
No, I'm using the weather underground. They're usually pretty good. But no one really knows with a storm like this.
I dread the shoveling and driving but love to look at it
thanks Haz!
You're welcome, Eva.
mo7: Ms. Mo** Lisa + where a*e you going? + 1st syllable for baby word for father
thanks adhd, on the phne with ana
Sounds like high winds too, so power outages may be a problem. Although without leaves on the trees it souldn't be too bad.
morning to everyone.......
Hello movieman
hi movie
usu boston gets worse than us, but not this time... we're getting all snow 18-20" i've said that so many times already... i'm s orry y'all... i'm just SOOOO excited! and i don't even ski!
hey movie.. anyone know today's icon theme?
i said a word before by mistake if anyone needs it
ADHD- I share your excitement, that's why I'm so bummed about not being in Vt right now. And I don't snow either. Just love storms.
have u had snow yet tho? we've only had an inch all season
phantom-madonna
we've had 4-6 inches at a time, but nothing significant
got the "precious" 7........any clues for the others plz?
to us that IS significant, with this years
record lol
what does that one start with movie?
di7, eva......
thanks movie
ma7/36 - to the beginnings of spanish mother (four letters of it) add the first number.
tx movie
have that one Haz, but thanks
The other ma7/36 (2 of them) are the same, but use different vowels on the end.
morning all, ma7x3 = crazy + mr reagan = vowel, and then change the last vowel to give you 2 more
te7 - a place for enjoying a China beverage
tx haz and movie
for 7's I have: di9/40,ma7/36,ma7/36,mo7/36,ra7/32,te7 /32....clues for any of the others?
u r missing another ma eva
Eva there are 3 ma7/36
just got the other from sugars clue. Thanks sugar!
are the TE and RA7's common words?
yw eva, how's merp today?
the te is quite common in England and the ra is a pretty coommon biblical word
ra7 - an old fashioned term for clothes - King James version/Shakespeare era
duh... u gave me that haz... soryy and thx again
i don't have the TE7
A place where a drink is drunk.
does it start with the English 4'm te*
Yes, then find a section of a house.
meant 4pm
guess not
pub??? hmmm lol
haz, not getting that ra7......
Merp is fine. We're in Boston, in his old apartment, and he seems to quite enjoy being in his old stomping grounds, although the car drive down is not at all one of his favorite things. He figured it out an hour before we were leaving (must be the suitcase) and hid very effectively, and then had to be hauled out by the scruff of his neck and dumped unceremoniouisly in his carrier. At those times, when I feel like Cruela Deville, I always remember an old TV plant lady, same era as the Gallpiong Gourmet, Thalassa Caruso, I think was her name, who said to her cats, in similar circumstances, "Everyone has their bad days and this is yours"
Or think of it as eye moisture, (4 letters)then a cow's noise backwards (three letters)
lol eva, been there, done that!
Movie - what falls from the sky,Four letters) especially in Manchester, replace the last letter with the preceding alphabetical one. Then add the rearranged letters of the number after nine
i began reading, Eva, and at first thought Merp was your sig. other lol
he is. Just don't let my human partner know.
got it haz, ty
You're welcome, movie.
rofl... haz i keep reading a cow's NOSE backwards
but i did eventually see it.. lol tx
Interesting image.
G'd morning Babblers!
hey Lori
135 left... bbl
Good morning Lori - 187 words today.
doom
Bye ADHD.
LOL Thank ye Haz. You must be psychic....
I knew you'd need to ask!
sorry!!!!
does anyone know if the words found are stored on our hard drive? or just under our screen names? if i access this site from another computer, will my list be here?
Later AD
still missing three 7's......

As long as you log in under your name, the words should still be there.
they will be there ADHD
grt. tx. see y
bye AD
No re words. Yea!
I'm missing 7's as well - maybe find them later when I look back at chat archive.
does anyone have the am7 yet? if so, clue please?
adhd, the words on this site will be here, but if you are using lickity, you will lose those
I don't have it yet, but I'll look.
amonia
sry
tried that too katy
cant seem to spell today
am7 - looks like a french friend is finished
Or, add the first number to the am4/6
tx haz!
thanks Haz!
hello everyone can i confirm that diamonte is a word ?
thanks haz!
It's spelt diamante, I think.
I always thought that was diamante pink
*diamante*, I think?
oh.. that would explain why the grid refuses it. thanx guys
does the grid need a reason to refuse something?
it seems pretty random to me.
The grid will only accept words that are in enable, the dictionary it uses as a reference point.
katy-what's the red hat society?
phanton-promenade
the red hat society is a society for women who are of a certain age (over 50) who get together and dress up in purple clothes with red hats and just have fun together. we have no philanthropical?sp purposes, our only purpose is to enjoy being together.
pr 7 36
like that image katy-i have the purple clothing, and the age, but no red hat
Katy, didn't the society emerge out of the wonderful poem "When I Am An Old Woman I Shall Wear Purple" ?
u get to wear a pink hat if you are not 50 - right katy
um, hello folks. can anyone tell me, when you are looking for a job, is it totally fine to be involved with multiple job placement agencies, or is that some sort of impolite faux pas?
Oh no. I couldn't join. I have a complete phobia regarding purple. Just seeing it makes me jumpy!
clue for that lar?
you should find a society. got to red hat society on line and find a group close to you. Yes, it did ch1212. and yes ana, you know if you join under 50 you get to wear lavender with a pink hat instead.
You in fact should be signing up with multiple agencies, hurshy.
ok, thanks
poor frances. that's my favorite color.
hello hurshy, enlisting with multiple agencies is a common practise here
sounds smart to me hursy. I'm in Boston right now. Anything I could do for you down here?
Most especially if you are paying them. And certainly if you are not paying them :) Good luck!
pr7/36 - grammatical term, can be personal or possessive
Shalom Everyone
shalom ARB
hi ARB
thanks yet again Haz!
You're welcome, Eva.
Hurshy, ask the question and read the agreement. Some aggreements have an exclusivity clause that allows the company to seek payment even if that company did not find the job for you.
Shalom ARB
thank haz
You're welcome, larlie.
Hursh, it sounds like you're getting some good advice.
G'd morning to everyone I missed whilst saying bad words behind the privacy of my screen...
Okay, have to take a break, I'll be back later.
bye haz, tx for the clues
droad
were the bad words accepted by enable Lori?
bye haz
Later Haz.
Oops, sorry!
LOL unfortunately not Eva.
clue for the i plz
morning all
movie-not outside
in + do 4/5
ty eva
thanks all for the input. brabble - that whole company seeking payment thing - just how much are we talking?
back in 5........
well time to get cleaned up for the day. cya all later. will call later ana.
bye katy
depnds on the contract .... my suggestion is to call a couple and ask a bunch of what if questions including how the company is paid
eva - i guess i could use some advice, if you have any, on the best way to look for an apartment in the area. i've been looking on websites like rent.com, and some that are more specific to boston. the trouble is, i am eager to get something in place ahead of time, but i'm not moving until june, so, i'm not really able to be making arrangements yet like i wish i could - seems people don't plan this far in advance.
bye yall.
bye
well brabble, so far it's just, i'm applying to things online, some of which are being run through placement agencies. and like, one agency called me yesterday to set up an appointment. so then, i didn't know if it is bad to apply for other jobs that are through other agencies.
BabbleRabble: What IS that icon of yours?
but (eva), i'm going to come out to the area on march 19, so if you have any advice for how to look at some apartments while i'm there...
hurshy, if you get a job on your own after signing an agreement, ask whether that company is entitled to any payment
will do brabble, thanks!
great advice babble
if you accept a job while the agrement is in force from ANY source, is the company you signed with entiltled to payment
i shall read fine print before i sign anything :)
clues for the bottom u plz?
also, it sometimes helps to call lawyer referall or the state bar association to see if you can get a free consultation and the name of a lawyer who practices emplyment law to discuss pitfalls
oh my.
these groups may have literature for free
ok
I personally am familiar with people that have had to pay twice
when you say pay - what, couple hundred bucks?
clues for the bottom u plz?
i wore my hair in an up4 for my best friend's wedding
sometimes you designate a salary and perks. some companies have a sliding pay scale.. the higher the pay and better the perks the more they get paid
interessant.
what I have seen is a base payment that is scaled upwards
Good morning everyone. I'm am just checking in because I hit the snooze alarm too many times and lost an hour.
hey sc - hope i made you feel better last night :)
yeah snooze!
hi scrabbler
hi Neli
hi wolvie
It is ME, hursh---pushing myself to an expectation that I do NOT have to meet. Don't worry--it isn't you, except I want to be a Babbler like you, and Sprite, etc--LOL
Hey Wolvie---RRRRRRRRRR--- Last night I was reading about wolverines that are in the Adirondacks---RRRRRR
I need more coffee.....
well, i just had to say it cause there has been so much history here of people feeling pressured for one reason or another
heh heh - good reading.
TY hurshy--:-)
hi lori
yw :)
Morning all, grid looks so-so today, conversation is more interesting......
Well, as I spent an extra hour comatose in bed and hitting the snooze alarm every 9 minutes, I must leave now. ;( I will return tonight.
I can only be me. me needs a list most of the time. but that is okay, since I make the choices that are best for me. I still can marvel at the great ones!
bye scrabbler!
ttfn
Hi Pida, bye Pida.
hi pida
See ya later, scrabbler
Have a good day Scrabbler. G'd morning Pida
Bye Wolvie...RRRRRRRRR, TY BR
i'm sure once i have a job i'll be using the list much more often myself :)
Why are you moving to Boston, hurshy?
Whatever works best for you, Hurshy.
i'm separating from my husband. my sister lives in boston, and, i dunno, boston just feels appealing to me.
ohh - sorry to hear about this hurshy - good luck in Boston - great city - lived in or near it myself for 18 years
I'm not proud, I pull up the list first thing everyday. I may not use it all the time, but it's always there for me.
thanks wolvie :)
Hope you get what is best for you, Hurshy. Good luck!
thanks brabble :)
Sorry to hear that hurshy. I hope things work out the way you want them to.
Sorry, hurshy, didn't know. Will probably work out for the best......
thanks lori :)
Ditto to BabbleRabble.
thanks pida :)
Good Morning all
thanks ARB :)
morning peri :)
hi peri, ARB, and babble - I think I forgot to say hello
G'd morning peri.
morning, peri
Sorry to hear that, hursh, didn't know. Hope things work out for you. A good friend lives right outside of Boston and loves it
thanks peri :)
Having a tough time with this grid
Hello to all
I would think that moving to a city (which IS a great city) where you have family has to be a move in the right direction.
i only first mentioned it here in chat yesterday, so, you're not out of the loop for not knowing
I want to throw my monitor, and this grid, in the deep blue sea.
yes, that is how i feel ARB
I missed it in yesterday's chat, but i was out of here early
baby beluga in the deep blue sea swims so wild and he swims so free
lot's of 4 letter words today, obviously, but they are annoying
can't believe there are so many M words
mama mia peri! ;-)
and no S :(
found ma4/7 name of a character in Golden Girls
Well, Hurshy, a step at a time; a day at a time. Today, may you walk in beaty and dance in the sunlight!
thanks brabble, i'll try :) the hardest thing is telling family and friends.
but that's going ok so far.
Chin up Hursh, we're all rooting for you
hi sugar
random clue a la douglas: da6: evil actor matt from bourne identity?
hey Wolvie, how's the grid for you, today?
remember to be kind to yourself
thanks sugar. being a part of babbleland certainly does help me feel stronger in this. it is funny how a bunch of people i don't know in real life have made such a difference in mine.
annoying. ;-) I hate going around and around for 4 letter words
This is a stoopid grid anyways..... ***kicks the sand and stuffs hands in pockets***
tell us how you really feel lori. ;-)
LOL, I think it may be time to go to Lickety, 61 to go and I have hit the wall..........
Don't keep it in Lori. It festers!
it could be a list day that's for sure
I cannot believe how excruciatingly painful each and every words has been. Ack!
found 85 words so far, time for breakfast and then laundry, bbl
later peri
bye peri
Later peri. Please don't say laundry....
ooh, i gots to do mine too
but not JUST yet
LOL hurshy
oh poo, 6 k's
I've been all jacked up on NyQuil for days now. Maybe that's my problem...
still have your cold, lori? sorry to hear that
it's a problematic world
hope you feel better soon
Yah Wolvie, this one has been brutal. This is a bonus day for me, 'cuz the boss said "stay home", and I obliged.
Maybe you should see the doc since it's been hanging around so long?
Fireworks!
Hi everyone.....I have a problem with the da6 clued earlier.....isn't the Bourne actor a 5 letter word?
I don't really plan to do anythign productive, except complete this grid.

Chiley - I just came up with 3 6-letter variations on the same word
And I don't know the meaning of any of them!

pr7/36 is normal . . . he, she, we, they, I, etc.
ra7 is a normal biblical word . . . fine clothing
a flower hursh mo - then sort of like desire

HI Anike. At least you are trying.
Your well being is more important.

Was it the muscles reference that got your attention, torgone?
Thought you were talking about me . .

It's your brain rather than your brawn that I appreciate.

Strong like bull. Smart like refrigerator. . .
LOL, tor
bed****, bath**** - person who might share with you when in college for example

mi5,14? The m's are killing me
the three da 6's please
Too many letters that work off BOTH the m's. :-(
mi 5/14 -- add vowels in their order
I have one da 6 = the black and white tile game
All three da6's are very alike. First, fourth, and last letters are the same
Buttonman the 3 da 6's look a lot alike -- vowel combinations chage, but the 3 consonants are the same
I'm a da4/6 do4/9 .. I'm not getting the up6 clues to work ..
Strider, don't you mean do?
Torgone, the game played in English pubs
Arb - sorry that was do
Stride, change the last letter for another do 6
Sorry Babblerabble, that clue went right over my head. Once more for the babble challenged?
up 6/24 --- not finished up 6/27 --- blue ****er

i like to think that's how a french cat speaks
Thks, I finally got the three da 6's.

G'd afternoon Babblers!
no monkeys hardly speak english lol

G'd afternoon Takuma
What green bean Babble? I'm blank.

The one that is in Peru?

That's an an5 not am5 .
LOL overlap. That may be the one, now I have to figure it.....
the bean has the same name as the capital of peru
Oh, okay. I need the other am 5
ah, misread the clue - thought we were talking about the an
lorip do you have the mortgage am 5?
po 4/6 please i have the swimming hole and can't seem to figure the other one out

Curious: is the do 4/9 (that rhymes with a Tolkien race) considered a bad word some places?
Not a taboo word here (UK)
I finally have them all now, thanks Cubs. :)
couldn't tell you takuma since i don't have it yet
first two do 6/24's please
someone suggested to me that it's anatomical slang, but I've never heard it used that way
ok now i am curious ....
That's a new one on me Takuma.
am 5 -- east European country: Ruma***
do6/24 - land held in ownership
huh. (just thought I'd ask, since we've got a lot of geographical diversity here, not because I think y'all are experts in naughty words)
I think maybe Tak is talking about the nick name for richard????\
do6/24 the second, do plus the workplace of Snow White's friends.
Takuma, according to the dictionary it was originally "anatomical slang", as you put it, but I think has lost that meaning, at least where I grew up.
but we are experts in naughty
thanks K
I used it in a lecture once, setting off a round of snickering among the class
I use it that way, tak ..
i just looked it up ... it said vulgar slang for a male part... love that word --- vulgar
are we talking about the nerdy do???
yep, wurdy
if you used do4/9 you would get in trouble for calling names, not for using that particular word. da4/6, on the other hand, was a "bad" word.
surries off to search for da 4/6
I have never ever heard it used that way. hmmm.
en 6 please
It's not that bad (the da4/6). My kid thinks it means "mommy left her keys in the house". :-)
lol, k
maybe like the real meaning of dude is an ingrown hair on an elephants butt
and locke dthe door beind her LOL
en6 is a verb meaning to make one love something or someone
wurdy are you pulling my leg?
nope
nice clue, haz -- thanks
You're welcome.
snapping turtle, did you get your memo done?
Mostly, I just need to add the citations
i don't get that en 6 clue is there another for do 4/9's???
How'd the research go?
en plus the spanish? word for love, or French for love, minus a vowel.
ty haz that did it LOL
do4/9 rhymes with Mo** and Mindy
Well done!
pretty well. one of her questions is confusing, but i don't think she's going to look at it all that closely.
only with your clue haz
Team work, aknitter, team work.

Hello caitlyn - and stidmama, was out of the room when you arrived.
I don't like the artificially flavored ones ..
hello caitlyn! do the folks in the UK "do" valentine's day like we do? candy, cookies, flowers, cards...
"dood" don
don't count...
Yes stid all the shops are full of red roses etc I live in hope!!
@---^---/--- <---rose for caitlyn
It's all got terribly commercialised over here. Hardware shops try to sell power saws with 'Acceptable Valentine's gift' attached.
Oh thank you stid
Well, maybe not quite that, but most things seem to have red roses and red hearts attached.
oh no, Haz! they don't! *look of horror*
could someone give a clue for a word starting with either the bottom 'e' or bottom 'u'? This is driving me crazy
em5/14 - do a repair job to e

Hi BLG

hi BGL! are you enjoying Kentucky so far?

Yes Une, I made $65.00 and went to Bed, Bath and Beyond today and bought a new bed pillow for side sleepers
peri, where did you sell them? were they jewelry?
I was working on something at about midnight when BANG! (loud), everything died and the was a burning smell. Panic! I envisioned everything on the hard drive gone...couldn't ask anyone -- it was midnight.
I sold them at the hospital where I used to work. Just went around to people I knew and asked If they wanted to buy them. I made pins, pendants and small magnets
Jill! I have a clue for you... the ma 7/36 first one is the road my parents live on, change the vowel for the next...
ooh, thanks, stid
It is funny, no one wanted the pendants, just the pins and magnets.
fortunately, my laptop was just unplugged for some reason and running off battery power (which the system I was using doesn't tell me). so, I just needed to plug it in and restart. :-)
Peri, that's terrific--know you were pleased!
I was very pleased Une!
strange about the pendants, though I suppose that's the way all fashion is, sometimes they want one thing, sometimes another.
tha's good peri. : )
noname should be a word --- it's in every grocery store!
I made pendants several years ago out of salt dough and they sold like crazy

the 3 da 6's are very similar -- a difference of one vowel between them
well, now i only need 72
Thanks Sprite, I can swear with -the best of them I need a da6 and a da4
there are two curses?
da6/24*s*
cursing is never hard with babble :)
The amount of A words seems improbable. I guess I'm feeling a bit defeated.
ok..i have nerve complaining about my ex..because right now, i want to disappear for a few months myself LOL
Ata! *hug* Yes they are.
hi everybody!
momo did you finish the grid last night?
by all. I need to go watch the news and see if they know how long it's going to ice.
but mom, u wouldnt and that what makes you awesome
Hiya, Ping.
Judi, I have ALL the A... may I help?
hey ping
i saw so many clues fly by..i missed them all.. will have to back track
hey ping!
Well, one of them isn't really a curse, more like a euphemism for a curse or hosiery maintainence
a clue for the 2nd curse? I have da4
momof3, there is a reason parenting is naturally done in pairs... it is simply not a job for one person! If you have to do it alone, you're entitled to want to run away some of the time :)
the only da 4 that is unusual is the 4/6 -- must have a 2nd 2pt. letter
later grannyg! be warm and safe!
da4 a bit milder curse
am lurking. getting annoyed with the grid
Well, I'm missing 6 a's, Stid. Let me try to figure out what I need and I'll get back to you.
i like your icon ata
ty sprite..and wurdy...and yes, ping..i finished.
hi stid
oh...okay....I don't count that as a curse :)
my stats say there must be 2 more R words and I just know the stats are wrong!
now I have the 2 fancy words for a demon, but can't see how another vowel can entre the picture--
YAY mom!
lets just type in all the words into the chat log and we all finish and then just continue
another one very like those two, hetty!
This has been one of the worst grids for words that are way out there --- I would accept smaller grids if we could limit the words to an ordinary dictionary like ra 6 house
I don't know the fancy demon words
I only have one demon
lol you do Jean ... you've nearly typed them
da6/24
hey, i needed that ra 71 to go
rani
hi judi
ooh, just found the 2nd demon
i wasnt serious esprit
lol
brb AGAIN...
change 2nd vowel of the bad ghost for another one, and change last vowel for the 3rd.
third vowel different in first one from the next two, last vowel different in the middle one
*whine*
Thanks, stid, got it at last, iours is always the winning clue
im going to get warm...bbl
what, you playing outside wurdy?
I'm on my way -- thanks again for my 'last word', sprite :)
mom, for THIS was the lovely videotape/DVR/computer game invented...
later nan!
BBL. Gotta heat up the chili.
oh hetty, if only I were "winning" in my own grid! LOL down to 35 but even with the list it's slow going...
yw cybernan, bye :)
This is not a nice grid is it? I've been on and off all day and just lurched to 100. It would have been about25 without the clues though!!!
and ducktape, stidmama
it looked so easy at the start...
*agreeing with JFB's assessment*
no easy grid, no
can anyone clue the em?
that's how they always get you, isn't it, inge? it looks like solid ground and then.... *SLURP* the quicksand gets you!
that sucking sound...
e + repair clothes
can't hear the sound, got sand in my ears
I've been trying to get moron in - my phantom of today - a message for self in there somewhere?
I don't have a single O from the center box

yw :)
inge I have one or4/5
Or4 or + what you put in the papers to get attention for what you want to sell

k, got the or4, tx Esprit and Esprite.
i have an om 4 like the scary movie "The Om**"
or4 Or + act
Ok, I only need one more - the MO7
tx for that sprite. god knows what they mean....
Smell spelt the US way - od4.5
then I can go home
Or6 enact or establish by law
no "omnia?" *stamps foot* then how do I say omnia vincit amore!
oh and Ping, tx *hits self with fish*
stid, you can almost have the last word with en :)
thanks sprite, that was the o I was missing.
tx sprite...begone dull Os!
vowel words always seem harder, don't know why
*thinking* sprite is so clever...
cause no one likes vowel movements
groooaaan :)
en + love, stidmama. And I second your protest against omnia not being valid!
*grins @ Esprit*
ewww Esprit... ewww!
ok I give up. Any help with the MO7? Please?
;-0
thanks sprite! I had forgotten I still needed that one! LOL
I'm missing one of the two ro5/12's that follow that "One Day At A Time" last name. I have the musical term one. Help!
Lains... hardly dare to ask but... which Mo7?
mon....
*deciding I hate it when starting two-letter combos appear in more than one place in the grid*
i decided that a while ago stid. muy confusing!
mo7 - M*** Lisa + h*** act to follow + vowel
my valentine icon has been posted -- help yourselves, folks :)
AH! that mo 7 is a plant in my garden -- called "bee balm"
ooh, virtual calories, Nan!
Lains: Mo7: first 3 letters of day of the week, + form of to be minus last letter, + first 2 letters of father
oooh nan! you're the BEST!

i started this grid late last night - can't remember a thing!
trader joe's french roast, inge2
what kind of dumbass word is mo7/36?
Time to go - goodnight everyone.
I think 'dumbass' pretty much covers it, Esprit
lol Ping
right now, Dorens, BLACK. I have so much housework to do when I get back with the boys...
biological term i think, no?
so frsutrating!
night JFB
ok....here you go (it is strong, too)
hi sprite
Stidmama, I need the ro 5/12 that comes after the Italian with an o, and before the homynym for rude. There are 2 of them -- I already have the musical term...
Are there various kinds of those kinds of words?
one of the MO 7 is a plant, the other is the stuff people use to set dye in fabric...
bye jfb
I don't have that other yet ch... sprite? can you help?
we have dumbass words, stupidhead words, unwords... and babblets
ro*** and Juliet?

drat, no, I have the loverboy
still missing far too many r's!
there are 2 mo 7s?
the ro5 that follows loverboy is a musical term
And Flo, she don't know, That the boy she loves is a *****
ro 6/21 -- a cheese
yes Ping
got the musical term too
a cheese???
nothing but heartache, douglas
And a rather well known comedic actor...
ro 6/21 (the second one) is also the last name of the family on the old tv show, "one day at a time"
ro 5/12 --- caesar; cicero; nero
now only missing a R4, thanks :)
OOh, and what douglas said too !
julias?

hej nut!

hey nut
LOL -- maybe I am really the only sorry woman without a life who plays?
Oprah on Sly--are you starting a rumor?!
there's a da4 after the arrow....change the r to a vowel
it's cold, it's snow, and it's definitely winder
that would be a kind of glory as well, stidmama :)
okay I am down to 18, and the DO 6 is stupid, but I am stupider... help please?
stidmama: one is a game with rectangular black strips with white dots
the other one is same except for last vowel
hetty da 4/6 - look to the sw and w - cant think of a real clue though
Don't forget a hit by Van Morrison...
and 3rd one (acutally first one) is name you need to register internet sites
no, the very very first DO 6...
douglas, you must have photographic memory!
and for that may I have a mackeral please?

On further review, the lyrics to that song contain another word in the grid, the loverboy...

I thoink we should be allowed to use letters twice for words like ointment

sprite-o-rama

Heya Ms. hurshypoo Ma'am ..

thanks sprite, no. I am down to ten thanks to you and the others!

I need to head out soon to grab the kids from school... but have a half a moment to hear how hurshy is! :-)
hey tor... oh my, a joke about me?
hehe... rehurshy of course
half a moment, eh? i'm separating from my husband. that's the news.
Gee hursh... that is pretty intense
oh hurshy.... I had no idea. :-(
i've been telling the babblers over the last couple days.
oh, I'm sorry Hurshy
but its ok, she's keeping the cats :P
I saw the other day you were moving, but didn't get the whole story . . .
it's ok. if you want to be sorry, be sorry for him, it's harder for him.
keeping the cats is important. Still.... *hugs hurshy again*
guess I have just missed that part of those conversations {{{hurshy}}}
thanks for all the hugs
okay, not sorry hurshy, but empathy for you.... i've been hearing that you've been going through something tough., but didn't realize what it is . glad you have the cats though
*hugs hurshy again, just because*
i won't be actually leaving until the school year ends, so the next few months will be the hardest.
ok. I protest. Pronk is a word. Its the characteristic movement of springbok and related antelopes
At least it won't be a surprise, like a separation I'm familiar with . .
hurshy, I don't know what to say so {{{{{{{{hurshy}}}}}}}}
I second Ata on the hugs and the antilopes
yes, it has been brewing in me for months, and i first started talking to him about my feelings in august, so, yeah, not a surprise
As in "Ah, spring, when the springboks pronk across the plain?"
summat like that!
Talking is good, in these cases . .
i think separations are hard no matter if you really want them or not
very sorry for you hurshy
okay, this is a fish that needs catching... mo 5/12 between "solo" word and emotional state?
Have to be off, almost midnight here. Hurshy, another big hug and I know I am not suppose to be sorry, but I am sure it is nowhere near easy for you.

howdee all, how's it hangin'?
*nothing hangs on my yet bookie*
Oh, it's hanging, alright
hurshy, I've picked up on a bit of your woes. I don't want to sound preachy. I just want to share with you what my Father told me 36 years ago, when I was going thru a divorce. Always take the high road. NEVER speak ill of your ex. He is the father of your children. And please remember, the grandparents are not to blame. They have an important role in your children's lives. It was the best advice ever. It all will work out. Hang in there and hold your head above the fray.
(just an expression, she decided not to say) LOL
he he
(((hurshy))) hi all
oh, don't you worry gramma - we don't think ill of each other at all, or each other's families, and we don't have kids. there's no question of that sort of ugliness.
Oh good. God bless you. It's never easy.
we will always care about each other and be kind to each other.
i think hurshy will carry it all off well
ad6?
a friend of mine once said -- through clenched teeth -- divorce works out a lot better if you treat the jerk with respect (joke!)

Can someone please help me find the second mo7?
hello
Ricky says thanks for all the complements :)
what happened to make him break his leg?
mo7, a musical word meaning heavy
mo7 also rhymes with Dennis Miller's name for his routine
I think I have the second one - wanna trade clues? mo7/36 the 2nd means biting, a mo***** wit.
Cliff the cat world thanks you
Gwen, I don't know who Dennis Miller is, sorry
mo7 = flower also known as beebalm
oh, thank you Dorens.
the people who surrendered Ricky said the dog was playing too roughly with him. the orthopedic surgeon who worked on him said that might be plausible - but they waited over 2 weeks before bringing him in!!!!! his leg was so shattered they had to put pins in it to hold it together.
hetty, you saying you need more clues?
I should have seen it - I grow it! also called bergamot - the flavor in Earl Grey tea.
second = dead people go to the mo+gue, where they can't ***ce to music, + consonant
lol melonhead
Dorens, i don't think I've ever seen a clue done as a short story before :)
very very short
Thanks, Gwen, Dorens just gave it to me by using it in a literary context--such are my limitations. Thanks, both
it was a bit longer than a haiku - a hai-klue
ahdorens - another ox i see : )
oooh, that sounds good. hai clue... have to try one someday
check
that poor cat! lucky it has you guys
oh GAWD that's a bad pun! LOL
yes, but it could have had owl, and then it would be doomed to repeat itself on the computer over and over and over again
fine, Book Doc, you may pun-ish me
oh GAWD stop please ** gasp gasp **
i think Ricky's luck has changed for the better - the shelter told me a wonderful lady saw the article in the paper about him and wants to adopt him.
(preparing to pun-ish . . . hee hee hee)
that's great...i would love to foster for rainbow someday...
good for him.
I have very nasty opinons on people that dont look after pets
A long time ago my grandfather worked for a rural electrification co-op on a Navajo Reservation . . .
herin...that would be just, not nasty
One time he was called to install electric lights in the outhouses . . .
look here to see my cousins children, and a worth cause.
look here to see my cousins children, and a worth cause.
my theory on bad pet owners is that when they die they all go to a hell filled with fur and they are all SEVERELY ALLERGIC TO FUR!
http://info.avonfoundation.org/site/TR ?px=3176576&pg=personal&fr_id=1270&et= R5DCFOI_Ev2Vs79ujHFdPg..&s_tafId=14671 6
. . . which made him the first person to wire a head for a reservation. LOL!
i have a pet rescue web site that i visit and sadly one of their rescues has 'disappeared' the suspect betthole neighbours
can anyone say hiccup?
ow, ow! hahaha!

AN 5: spirit, soul, that which makes something alive?
an5 - like critters, minus the final letter.
thanks stid and Charm
an 6: first three letters of prev word + 2 pt cons + two vowels
it means something, but I can't remember what tor said earilier...
So can i ask mamma how old he is?
you can ask, lady, but we don't say how old our kids are
a state or condition of individuals or society characterized by a breakdown or absence of social norms and values, as in the case of uprooted people.
Oh ok thats very sensible, fish slap please sorry
yep, that's exactly what tor said earlier! LOL
no prob, lady, thanks for understanding.
oh i fully understand
Just watching Oprah and there is these idiot parents that buy their kids clothes that the celbs wear its so stupid
so in case anyone here is interested, Ankhorite was on earlier today, and she is STILL battling that horrible lung infection (71 days and counting she says) so doesn't know if the eye surgery worked because the meds she is on for the lungs can make vision blurry...
en6?
oh, I know lady! I get so upset when I see a little kindergartner (or middle-schooler) dressed like some hollywood slut
thanks for the update
en + latin for "love"
en + love
i can't believe i missed that.
thank you!
thanks for the update stid
:-) here to serve!
bye all. happy babbling and see y'all tomorrow.
Stid i dont have kids but if i have them i swear on a stack of bibbles i will not be buying them teh $300 jeans
bye Charm!
*gasp* that would blow our budget for an entire school year!
ad6/24 please.....Please....
ad + part of speech not verb
yep, i never ever had the latest anything, because my parents instilled in me if you want something that bad, layby it
I bought $150 boots and my dad helped as i had paid most off myself and did house chores, i also 'looked after him' when my mum went away on buisness trips (3 times)
adjective
a woman at the restaurant we went to last week said that colleges give kids credit cards without even looking at their income sources, knowing the parents will bail them out. Not me!!!!
not quite, SMD, ="person place, thing"
thx Stid...who made up that word???
A zillion kajillion cyber bucks for the ra 7/32 please.
I always had decent clothes, but rarely the newest fashions unless it was something we could sew.
mo 5/14 please
RA 7: clothing? fancy nice clothing like a princess might wear
phew -- just back from phone calls, still dinnerless
mo 5/14: an amoeba cellular organism... first three letters are for the "single" word + printed "commercial"
perfect clue, thanks stid
Jill, come have dinner with us! I made a nice "stroganoff" with veggies and tempeh
I have pre paid mobile, no out going fone calls on my land line and im fine, it cost $280 is USD just for conection
lori, ra 7, it is a bibical word --clothes the king would wear
Oh stid i wish i could sew
talking about clothes and money -- whoof, I can tell you tales! I mean about no money and making clothes!
next to last am5/12 please?
Thank ye very, very much all!
I wish I had a sewing machine... LOL Tom promises me the first sale at the local department store and I can get one.
Cubschick... that is one beautiful baby!!!!
ty stid -- when i first started to read your clue i was thinking cellular what !! LOL
stid -- I'll be right over -- what's tempeh?
am 5/12: a + death in french
Stid what about freecycle
am5/12 am+ not yours but m***
what is freecycle
tempeh is made with pressed-together soybeans that are fermented into nice firm cakes. indonesian, I think
stid, i am teaching sewing to kids, and two of them got new machines for christmas for just $40.00
30 stitch machines
a + dead (mo 4/5)?
yep, ADHD, that's the kind I am looking for.
I made stuff without a sewing machine when I was at McGill and all the rich girls with dressmakers were envious!!!!
nope, none of those. i'm missing the one between the acid and the french dead
i have a $6000. sewing machine (plus 2 others and a serger)
sorry feather clued the wrong one
freecycle works, but I don't want to have to fix anything. Usually the good ones are gone by the time I log in for the day.
FEATHER!!!! uterine baby cushion!
I used tube knits (do they still exist???)
i used to make my clothes out of my mom's clothes (cut them up) when she lost lots of weight
oh poo, also bookcrossing is another fun one
LOL ADHD. -- if I were to do a lot of sewing for other people, I could justify that... but I don't sew that well any more
i keep trying amnio but it won't work. am i close?
I like bookcrossing!
I buy most of my clothes at thrift stores, sure saves a lot of money
VERY close, feather
as you may have guessed, I've given up on finishing
i inheritited 12 pairs of newish shoes and they rock
me too, peri, or again on really good sales...
amnio is ok in morewords, grrrr
got it!
i got it just for me to play with (my present to me) a few years ago. it does embroidery too. i just started teaching kids last week actually
Feather, change the last letter to 1t vowel
I think they still make tube knits... they make skirts a lot easier, that's for sure!
I always go straight to the clearance rasks in a regular store
or even *racks*
and will do it for 10-12 yr olds in september (the school asked me) i live in a tiny town w/700 houses, low population and we all know each other... i call it Mayberry
i really like watching house, but i don't understand half of it
yep. I have found some very nice things that way, peri! Last week at Goodwill I found a lovely periwinkle silk blouse... I loved the color! :-)
i don't sew like i used to. i used to make all my kids clothes when they were little (they're 34 and 36 now)
last mo 5 word please
peri would love it too (among others)
Wow, stid, a periwinkle blouse that is wonderful.
oh how nice that could be, ADHD, to live in a real community! our community has changed in the last twenty years and so many people don't know each other!
OOOOOO GOOD WILLERS... i've furnished my house on GW and all my Gap and designer duds come fr the Good Will.
knew it!!!
I bought two periwinkle sweaters at my favorite thrift store last year
yes, I will think of you when I wear it, peri!
I feed the 3 of us with about $5 to 10 dollars a nite
it's hard to do that, isn't it lady? the budgeting is so important though.
am5/12 please....next to last one between acid and a loan on a home. Please
21 left but too tired and annoyed with the grid, see you all tomorrow
well, I need to run into town and do the shopping or the BIG dog will need to eat Jill when she gets here... ;-)
you're a genius, herinf
sweet dreams peri, see you tomorrow I hope!
My god. Only 16 words away. Hope for the hopeless....
last mo 5 word please
I bought an Amani, Ralph Lauren, Politix, COuntry Road, Rivers from my local throft shop
there is a thrift store not far from me that is even better than Good Will
go Lori go!
hey stid -- who's the other dog besides Lucky???
Bye peri
mo 5: a hump of soil in a landscape?
hello everyone
togh grid tonight!!!
Hi Eco
the other dog is Buffy -- she is a small part-poodle mutt possibly terrier from her constant barking..... we love her but she is a pain in the mutt.
I live on $400 USD a fortnight about, $70 USD after bills to do what ever
*tough
Hi eno
i am the Queen of budget

bb
bye stidmama
night stid
does anyone watch House?
not me
omg, yes adhd. very grossed out.
am watching it now, ADHD
watching house now
yuk
watching house now...
did you see that surgery???? what a worm
I find it amusing that a name brand can is $1.20 yet the unnamed brand is 65c with the same content and yet people by the name brand
SM -- I have it, trying to think of a clue ---
SMD... am + one hump letter + third vowel + first vowel
i'm a nurse and have never had a problem w/live surgery, but on screen it grosses me out big time
yes.. tapeworm par excellence
i was saying earlier i like the show a lot, but don't understand half of it
first ma 7 anyone?
sometimes being a nurse comes in handy
House comes on here later...don't really like seeing him be such an unshaven growly grump when he can do much funnier things in Britspeak
if you have the 2nd and 3rd ma, just change the last vowel to another one
that was an interesting moment!
ma + dr 5/12 drop last letter and add 1st vowel
women's lib par excellence
don't know what Britspeak is.. is that on BBC
ADHD -- I was pre-med and watched many ops and I agree with you
thx cubs...I tried that with a different vowell ending but never thought of that one!!
ADHD -- House is really a Brit and speaks like any Oxonian
ty book!
got to see an leg amputation amongst other things and could have my hands right inside, but there's something about watching it on screen... yuck
or Cantabrian (howzat for a babbleword?)
u r kidding jilli... i never knew that
on that note... i need a snack
no kidding
Hugh Laurie? Loved him in Blackadder. :)
i only need 2 more words to reach 100, and i'm done
ah... Boston Legal is on
He was great in the Jeeves series, playing an upperclass twit
wee, ok, reached my goal. night all!
Night, Feather
And Billy Shatner is a McGill grad from Montreal who went ot kids' acting classes there and was not considered a good prospect
night, feather... and bye all... seems like it took forever today, but fireworks at last..

YAY Aloy!!!
No, autumn -- must go and start cooking it - too much fun here
ooo sry missed your announcement... YAY FOR YOU FEATHER
Congrats, Aloy!
brb, well, soon
had hubby pick up Chinese on his way home tonight because I worked late. Jill, you better go get something soon...it's getting late.
It's only 7:04 here, my usual dinner time
The fe 6 please?
we usually eat around 6. so getting home at 6:30 makes it late for me to cook, eat and still be in bed by 9
finnan haddie baked in milk, boiled spud with butter and parsley, baby spinach coming up
maybe I'll head over your way instead.....
I'm in bed by 1am if I'm a good girl
I'm up at 5 and downtown by 6:45 - not too bad for an hour commute
I couldn't do that -- me b'long night owl, get 8 hrs sleep -- do the math!
Okay, I'll add some desperation. The fe 6 is my last word. Anyone?
sorry, Lori -- didn't get to the f words yet
No worries Jilli, it will be revealed the easy way or the hard way.... :)
hi late shift! : )

On the other hand, I'd never turn down a great Melissa Meal...
brb keep on keeping on guys/gals
Cubs, when my kids were little, we found they had their own language that once we suspended our notions of what a "word" was... they made a good bit of sense. Not sure if that makes sense?
Cubs, I remember getting excited when my little guy said ga instead of da
Maybe you and Mother could cook together? I could help too!
I'm no cook, unfortunately!
Are you all getting together for a visit? I am so envious!
