Please?
ok with the ES um look at the clue i just told huga for the an then
tell me when you have the an series
I have the an set, herin
nan, there are a whole bunch of long in words that start with a type of trainee (like what monica lewinsky was)
ok instead of the 'Jane **d I" put the 2 vowel at the begining then you have the word for the ES
I'm still lost
thanks Fran -- have those
there is an se6 that is almost peaceful, if you put one or two letters in front of it you get longer words and their plurals.
a bunch of chemicals i think
oh crap ok hmmm let me think
thanks, fran
yw
thanks fran
irene means calm, yet it is not in the dictionary
um ES plus the 2nd vowel plus the orange peel is also a ***d and then the 2nd vowel then the letter before T

knight, it's accepted as irenic, it was in a grid not too long ago
thanks herinfernalady
did that help sorry if i spelt it out
I almost have it herin...kinda stumbling.....
hawaiian flower garland alert
if you play with that ES you get a 7 off it and if you fiddle about youll get the AN 8 and AN 9

thanks ornith, i always miss it!
ty lady
holy smokes, i got it, herin!

Um Jade i will pay that
Nan __ Ma and Pa Kettle?
well, someone else will play them in the movie, not sure who, i think they're thinking of Matthew McConaughey for Magnum.
wow! i guessed it!
You got it, jilli
YUK!!! Not a good fit at all.
MMMM mathew mcconaughey (drool)
WOW Cyborg!!! Glad YOU think it's easy!
dee, he's okay when he's not all scruffy and smelly and playing naked bongos.
Patrick Dempsey... dark haired, suave as Magnum... that might be interesting LOL
not many unusual words today, 4 Es together is torture lol
Will turner and ELizabeth swan since that name is easier to spell than there real name
Ok, looks like I'm not going to get my 100 words before homework or bed, so I better crunch some numbers really quickly before I crash.
Frodo and Samwise?
bill and ben
dee, i don't get his appeal, i think i still remember him as a teen in that pizza delivery/male escort movie.
nite all.
good luck. Hopefully will be back later.
night jade!
night Jade
night Jade
hmmm never saw that. I don't like either of their actions in real life (but I am an old fuddy duddy)
Patrick Dempsey is too wimpy for Magnum
he was a real gawky teen, i guess i can't see him grown up, although he is handsome enough.
Cheech and Chong?
I love them Herin
infernal, you'll just have to go pro so you can share your great ideas in your icon. :-)
loved Cheech (I think that is the one) in Tin Cup and Nash Bridges lol
i know but the bad people called bill has my money
yup, Cheech Marin
Clake Kent and Lois Lane

so far, though, none are as perfect for the part as Seleck was
that's true dee, he was Magnum P.I.
Morning, where are we going to find 246 words in this grid, does anyone know?
hi ren8! i can personally vouch for 153 of them. :-)
171 here
Hi Fran, well there is some hope then
hello i just got booted looking at the Heroes website which my nerdy partner just pointed out something
and all the 8s and 9s are found so that helps too.
what was that infernal
ok Hiros father was in Star Trek and when he drove off the licence plate i the same as Enterprises registration number
hiro
hiro's father in the show?
yep
looks like you found an easter egg
I need 2 more 8s -- have an8/9, es7/8, in8/9, mi8, ne8/9, ni8 -- what are the other beginnings?
there are two in8s jilli
and an ro8
what about Dennis Quaid as Magnum?
ro8 is plural prayer beads, alt spelling
tx fran
i think he's too old dee, isn't he almost the same age as Tom Selleck?
i like him though
not sure; he did well in Day After Tomorrow
Mr Kaito Nakamura he was in one of the last 5 episodes (13 to 18) im not sure which one they
got the ro8, thx
the in8 is very similar to the other in8 jilli, just play with the endings.
i've never watched Heroes infernal
oh, goofy me, forgot the singular of the 9, duh
oh ok sorry
We cant wait for it to catch up on the telly so we direct down load it from the net, its having a break at the moment
that's great that you can do that infernal
so that means you got the harder one jilli! :-)
must dash and get ready for work....bye all
well a friend does then we watch it like a group get together
i also saw Firefly the othernight too
I have all the 8s and 9s now but would like to get a word for each tile and there are 4 blanks -- the left N, upper E, and 2 lower Es (middle and right)
jilli, the N on the left is ne4/5
hmf, so that a word, is it? thx
the right E i have one word from...ee6/18, more creepy
middle E is just creepy and its "plural"
I'm missing an 8, I've got an, es, in, ni, ne,
upper e, try sea eagle and its alt spelling and plurals
oh man im a dumb arse
oh thanks, I was almost there. Had a ballroom dancing teacher called Miss Ehler centuries ago.
liz, do you have ro8?
And Ro, what's missing please.
you need another in8 liz
thanks again, fran -- and it dropped a big fish on me
TY
Liz i use Ro beads in church
it's like the other in8, just play around with the endings
good jilli! (that you found it, not that it dropped a fish on you!) :-)
i am stuck on 94 words
found all those other birds too, of course
94 found or 94 left?
i guess i shouldnt have been tooling about on the net
found
well buckle down and stop surfing! :-)
not likely
also my partner is being loud on the playstation
oh well, finishing the puzzle isn't everything
not today i have 21 hours left to play
i have all the big words too
taking a break to eat, see you all in a bit!
2nd row from the bottom, middle and right Es still blank. Any help?
um i have no stats jill so im no help
Could you give me a clue for the last of my 8s? It's one of the INs?
understood, herin!
liz, there are 2 in8s, related
i could give you a clue but youll probably be the wrong one
Give it a go, would you, herin!
IN 8 - go into the house is to ? it and change the first letter to 3rd vowel plus i have a k*** on my leg
liz, do you have plural of the alt spelling of "trainee"?
TY, it was the right one, I'd got the plural....DOH!
and plural for the 9 LIZ
good morning everyone! what a lovely clue to come in on herin, thank you. It's given me two 8's and a 7 - and I WASN"T going to play today....!
liz -- that's exactly what I did!
Yeah, got it thanks
Hi ConX!
hi conx!
hi con
lickety still behaving jilli?
sor right i try not to spell it out but sometimes its hard not too
Lickety behaving perfectly this time -- never did get it before
no, me neither. Must be a build up over time or something...
if lickety's list is messed up, just throw away the cookies. that's what i had to do yesterday.
i always purge my computor of cookies it stops it getting fat
well, I used bj's list and almost made it to fireworks -- just 4 short
herin, that sounds like a good idea!
Jill you got ripped off
you went old school then jilli! :-)
yep, that's what ursh told me to do yesterday, and i told jilli and hetty. It's great when probs like this get solved via the chat. Loads of people were complaining last week about the lists.
Right, that's 100, so I'm off to bed. BBL.
later liz!
bye liz!
hetty did the cookie thing but it didn't help
its bad enough i like cookies and cant eat them as im on a diet so i dont see why my computer can eat them too
night lizmac
yep, the problem was the cookie was saving the tick marks and words from the day before, you just have to delete it and start with a fresh one.
lol herin
oh! Ursh said that soemetimes it also needs a restart
yep im on a diet it goes for everything darn i
t
that makes sense, fran
se i told you cookies are a bad thing
don't know how it works in other browsers, but in safari i get a list of them and i just scrolled down to "licketysplitaus" and deleted those
i just delet all my cookies an a regular bases but im using internet explorier
looky looky looky, here comes cookie
yes, i think ie makes you delete them all
just the middle e blank now
i think you can be select but no cookies for this laptop
jilli, eastern ruler, alt spelling
em5/12 and plural
well i have 101 so how many is left please
sorry, i guess creepy was from the first E in that row
infernal, 246 total
you do the math. :-)
mmmm ok thanks that is 145 left just over half
finally got it, fran -- guess it's bedtime cuz I'm not seeing the obvious
there're just too many Es jilli
thanks fran im geting there but its not helping with the boy and the loud playstation
hmm, sounds like headphones would work wonders

Good morning/evening all. We're being made to work these past few days.
hi gwenbwen

half way and way past bedtime -- bye all! *poof*
i have a monster brain ack
Bye jillibus.
night jilli
. . . chirp chirp . . .
Morning all. Two days ago there was a word 'haar' and today I heard it for the first time ever on the weather forecast.
Good morning Frances - I learned the word when I was in Edinburgh as a student.
I wonder if the forecaster is a secret babbler.
hello again
Frances maybe they were trying to recruit more babblers
It just seemed odd that I had never, ever heard it in a forecast before and two days after it appears as a word here the forecaster used it.
i heard one of my rude words used and i had never heard it before on a show
where is everyone?
-- spooky music -- "Coincidence or Synchronicity??"
thanks gwen i keep forgeting to put that one in
spooky or music? LOL
the creepy one
back laters
Synchronicity is not creepy, it's just another word for coincidence used by people under the influence of magical thinking 8-)
Hello everyone
Hi again. Just dropping in for a bit of unwind-time--my toddler has a fever today, so he can't go to daycare, and there's nobody in the family on this continent, so that means missing my apprenticeship job today and staying home with him. Just got him down for a nap.
howdee lynxxx and monkey! and all the crickets . . . chirp chirp . . .
Hi Monkey. some things you just can't plan for!
It's 11:18 a.m. over here. No crickets. 'Sides, ours go creak, creak.
It's 11:18 a.m. over here. No crickets. 'Sides, ours go creak, creak.
okay, for you . . . creak creak . . . (we have pretty small crickets in Michigan) LOL
crickets here too - its been a warmish day so they are in full song this evening
hey again i had to rest my eyes
And no, couldn't plan for this.... but I did suspect. He had a fever (and coughing) Thursday and Friday, was tired Saturday, and was wound up out of his mind yesterday, so I thought he'd overdo it. He's into the last 10 days with his broken leg in a cast too--not fair, just getting to the point where he can run on the cast and then knocked down with a flu!!!!
one nasty flu going around here, which I have too: all the symptoms except the big D
Oh poor little man
Errrm, call me obtuse, but which one's the big... Oh, never mind. Oops, got it!
Speaking of that symptom, that's one he doesn't have. That one is a real hassle with a toddler, especially when I can't get out to the store for more diapers--got enough if that one doesn't start!
here's hoping there's no big D in your household for a long time!
Thanks! Yours too!
aw, gee, thanks. I've had it since Tuesday and all symptoms are gone except a coughy raspy throat and low appetite
Well, I hope you get all the way better soon!
|-D
How do I get a little flag on my profile thingy? Are you really in Wales? Nifty!
monkey, put a country in. (No, not in Wales, I put Wales in cuz i like the flag.) Although most countries there's no flag icon in there yet
but I've seen flags here from morocco, south africa, australia, new zealand, israel, netherlands, england, scotland, etc!
Aha, now I see... it's the pay-for option! I'm too broke right now. Oh well. I'm in the Netherlands.
Update the My Account (above) Monkey. Happens when you put your country in. Although you need to be a pro - not sure if you are?
monkey, you also get a little "bust" if you indicate your sex: daily, weekly, etc LOL
oh man
I'm in US, eastern tiem zone, and it's 5:32 am. Weee!
Up early or late?
gwen that is way to early
i know, i have the FLU and can't sleep (oh i guess that might be another symptom!) Already watched two DVDs and still wide awake as a baby bird waiting for a worm
but i work at home so the boss won't yell at me if i'm late tomorrow LOL
FLu can screw your sleeping paterns
Gwen just tell the boss your sick
oooh, phlegm!
the boss she is me
Thank goodness I like my boss (pity it's not ME, though). Today would have been my second day at the apprenticeship and I called toa sk if there's anything I can do from home, l;ike work on the newsletter or something, and she said, "Just take care of that boy, make sure he drinks plenty, see you next time!"
thats what i mean, convince your self you are sick and bable is your friend
what is the G doing in my phlegm?
monkey, you have a smart boss!
MOnkey at least your boss cares about your kids most are mean
especially 'Murican bosses
my old boss was just mean
i had the boss from hell a while back -- plan to avoid that for as long as i live
True, but I'm a first year student (at 38 years old) for a social work degree, and my apprenticeship is with a community-support organization. There sure are a lot of places I was AFRAID I'd have to work the apprenticeship through at, but this place is cool!
good to hear!
thats why i dont work got sick of being kicked while i worked
do you have a specialty like drug addiction, suicide, etc?
my first job was a corporation -- actually a big franchise of a corporation -- what a bunch of prancing idiots running the joint
No specialty yet--next year we start to develop a minor. I think I'm leaning toward refugees, but then there's autism, not to mention "weird" neurological stuff like Tourette's, Korsakov's, schizophrenia, etc. Gonna be a tough call, actually.
ei7.44? help?
don't have the ei7 yet, sorry!
you could go with refugees with autism, yes? 8-)
I haven't browsed enough to understand these notations... I have a couple of words with ei in them; is that the sort of thing meant?
I haven't browsed enough to understand these notations... I have a couple of words with ei in them; is that the sort of thing meant?
ei7/44 - ei plus a reworking of an old fashioned collective term for pigs.
It means it begins with ei and has seven letters.
thanks haz i was thinking piggy
got it in one - Thanks Haz
Got some in Dutch... sigh.
You're welcome - have to go but will be back later.
got it too. thanks haz1558. you are as helpful as ever..

oh poo my partners dad is visiting and im in my pjs
just tell him you're on the 'puter!
yep other excuse is its bloody cold out there
apparently its 20degrees out there and im in my winter pjs and the heater is on 25c
Akkk, 13 years in a non-English-speaking country has apparrently killed my vocabluary. It USED to be pretty good!

I grew up in the States, Southern California. Then we emmigrated.

Infernal - they are not friends
fish please
Hey lynxx are you cold?
'lil bit - but its really nice for a change
i found out its 20ish out there im inside with the heater on 25 and winter pjs and slippers, i was asking as to find out if i was sick or if it is cold
. . . creak creak and/or chirp chirp . . .
i leave you with less than 30 to go and plenty of crickets. *plonk*
At the moment, just cough, cough through the baby monitor, here, accompanied by the unspeakable sounds of a Great Dane snoring.
poor bubba Monkey, my mum used to feed me, lemon hot water and wiskey at that age to one knock the cough out and me too
and i can imagian how loud the great dane is as my friend has a mastiff
Oof... I DO have whisky... luckily he's coughing in his sleep. Last night he had a really bad coughing fit, and i went in to find him still basically asleep, but too warm and snuffly. I stroked his hair and said softly, "Are you OK, sweetie?" He opened his eyes and said brightly, "Two bicycles!" Guess he'd been dreaming. He's 2 1/2.
thats cute if hes sleeping let him at it, if you dont mind me asking how did the little tike break his leg
Poor little fellow stuck his foot into the spokes of my moving bicycle and sustained a spiral tibia break. It could have been a lot worse--I had slowed down for a car. No knee or ankle displacement, no foot breaks, thank goodness. The folks at the emergency room called it the "classic toddler injury" (everyone carts 'em around in bike seats here). I felt really guilty but they said no matter what safety precautions you take they still often manage this one. I couldn't stand the thought of it ever happening again, though, so now I have one of these, with a kid seat in it: http://www.bakfiets.nl/eng/models_carg o_trike.php
that is the bike with the 3 wheels and the basket?
Yup--it's not a basket, though. It's a heavy-duty cargo bin with benches fro kids.
awesome thats what i thought i was makeing sure off
In addition to being safe (and my friends think I'm kooky because I make him wear a helmet in the thing) it is REALLY handy. Don't know how I got along without one.
miseries
That was supposed to be in the words field, sorry.
we have this thing were there is a bike that has one wheel and attaches to the back of the parents bike
There are lots of those here too. He's way too young for those, but I'll get one in a few years.
Are we the only two here?
glad you know what i mean, the boyfriend (boy) thought it was weird but i said its better than a rear basket as its safer to have a reverse trike
then cars can see your arse and you can keep an eye on the kids i like the 4 point harness as for a helmet thats great as it teaches him that on the road you wear a helmet yep we seem to be the only ones here too
G'd morning Babblers!
Hi there!
now i want one too
Where are you? I know they can be ordered online here and in teh States.
and there is no supliers in aus
hi lori
I would love a normal bike not trike as i cant ride those but the reverse trike looks easier to ride

hi there scrabbler!
hey Scrabbler :)
hi scrabbler!
hey scrabbler
i got asked if i was still on 'this bloody thing'
Finished with the se's. Upward, onward.......
Hello, Scabbler (milk spelled backwards is klim)
Hi Scrabble, BR and anyothers I might have missed...
how many of the s's are se's pida??
and klim is dutch for climb
and klimt was a painter
i believe my hands are fussed to the keyboard
fussy hands. ;-)

my state bird is in the grid again today. ;)
ooh boy - I need 10. le sigh
and my state flower!
lol fern
yep wolvie
yay evan, thanks :)
evan, when you signed on, I saw that word. ;-)
hah, just the one spelling this time, though!
true, but there is the plural. ;-)
yup, got it. :)
oh man there is too many REs
yup, and reenlist is a phantom, just when I finally see it without pointers.
how many re's total?
i dont know but i dont like it
ah. lol
21
le sigh - I still need 2 then
how come leave again isn't a good re word? dang
ok thanks for telling me that
I don't think there are as many re- (again) words as one would expect in this grid. So far I only found 2 combos and one loose one.
loose? hmmm . . . no re is an island
i have been here for 9 hours so far
wow. I signed on about 1 1/2 hours ago
I have a chess term, re + french put. And combo on notice with the eyes again, and combo on put seeds in the ground again. Also 3 words related to 'depend' - or would it be telling untruths again?
the an4/4 is often in the grid and i never see it until i get the list
you have the fishing rod ones
and the horse ones?
are they also again words then?
i am stuck on these re words
no . . . . .
the fish one starts with a part of the rod and re**, then builds on that
the horse one is the steering mechanism. ;-)
I have those, was just listing my again words :)
i think sprite is listing the RE words that mean to do something again, not all the words that start with RE
oh - duh
got it evan - my bad. :-)
;)
:)
I got pulled away--back again.
ah, do you have the store grain again ones?
cool - hello again scrabbler
wb Scrabbler!
I do now une. :-)
no, did not, thanks Une :)
I always wondered why si** is not a word yet re-si** is a word.
same here, just tried it!
LOL
*still working on that grain one*
why didnt i start with the RE words?
I try it in every grid, along with others that should be words
use an e instead of an o for the grain storage thingy evan
eva think tall storage out West
ah, the put seeds in ground again words are 3.
ahh, interesting
yep - I just finished the r's!!
yep had those 3
i see that there is a mini t rex in here
I had 2, lol
wolvie you're a genius!!
well folks, that leaves me 60 to find upon my return - see you later
hardly une. :-)
bye Wolvie
Bye Wolvie
later, wolvie, 61 to go here
that grain combo works with en as well
had the "en"
hunting Es and Ls now, slowly getting there
e + se6/18 and plural
Happy Monday, Babblers.. I am just now starting the grid.. surprised to see a big one.
sorry, that's not what you meant was it? :-)
hey aloy!

se6/18
A clue for it, Une?
do you have either se6/18?
Nope
i do do u need it?
(they're anagrams of each other)
they sound like calm, quiet
I tried "serene"--denied--so, close?
yes
um scable Days of oour lives is a telly se?
OK< I found one se + re4 (horse ropes)
Scrabbler, you would recognize one of them as an essential amino acid
it's been in the grid recently
OK, Lady==got it
yah
had to help as you lot helped me
yay!
Al, that was a perfect clue--TY
yw (-:
TY all, I have 3 se 6's, and the es7 now!
cool!
I choose days of our lifes as its a unversal show
I don't like to have a clue go by and not take advantage of it
one se6 is "more hubba hubba"
By gosh, look at that X over there! LOL
:-D
HELP---Do the NE8, 60 and 9,78 build off of the NE7,44
My brain has a way of ignoring some tiles. Last week it took me 20 min to "see" the Qu tile in a grid
ne8 ne4/8 + fishing equipment
Not completely - RMB - they relate to the same subject matter. Think of Pathe and what they produced.
Pathe???
MOVIETONE
haz we're showing our age :-)
I know Pathe :)
It's purely theoretical that we know about these things. We don't really remember them.
I got them! RMB--think fo what is played for the 6 and 11 PM ne** report
Hi everyone. Popped in to kill time until the pediatricians office opens
Am now here for an hour! Only 148 to go and am struggling big time
48 to go--BBL, folks
I don't know what Pathe is
lovely pic bgmadden!
Oh, then you are close, Alleyn!
can i have another clue for ne8,60
Thank you Atalante
Pathe were European producers of films showing items of national importance in the cinema.
ne4 (11 o'clock ne**) + fishing rod & re4
Do you have a sick kid, bgmadden?
ne8/60 - combine what you have just heard with a piece of dancing fishing equipment
got it, thanks

Yahooo RMB!!
He thought he us his throat to brew some strep Scrabbler
Hi all, how's it going? Tough grid?
also need help with ne6,18 and ni6,18
hi strider.. not as easy as yesterdays
We are seeing some Strep, mostly lots of Flu. March has been crazier than Feb this year with illnesses.
only the ne6,18
Missed yesterday. Had to go on a day trip.
ne + re4 (spelled like Hawaiian le**)
can i get a clue for the re 6/30 at the bottom i have the re planting thingie
what's your online bookselling url, strider?
Could I have clue for the an 8 & 9?
The flu wiped out our 1st graders this year...
The planting can be present and past tense for re6/30
We saw no Flu until 3 wks ago--strange winter this year--the germs are messing with us.
um i have the seed one but i dont know what you mean surry
Hi Hazel---I missed your entry into Babble Land.
Planted again and plants again for the re6
mmmm
Hello Scrabbler - I kind of edged in.
It's officially after 10:00 I can call them now...bbl
i dont get it scratchy head
I realized that 2 spaniels were staring at me
an8= an+se6,18 then plural
too bad you can't use "the one who plants again"..
fireworks
And they're both Welsh Springers!
yay, sprite, BRAVO!!!!
oh boy double fish please
Yahoooo Sprite! Great work!
thks RMB - I thought it was something like that.
brb, coffee

Indeed, Atalante!
Right, must go, before I say something I shouldn't.
my dog is sleeping with her eyes open. very strange
*mumbles something about the big glowing orb in the wide blue expanse outside the window*
oh pfft thanks every
I have Bunny Callie next to my feet.
oh hello jade i havent left yet
Sounds beautiful, Jade.
so scrable you can have real bunny slippers
is she a good footwarmer?
you haven't left yet herin?
and I thought I was addicted!
nope
9 plus hours so far
Yes, and last night I had a dream of one of my old, now deceased bunnies, Peter Rabbit.
awwww
VolleyMomDee would be proud of me. I did 90% of my hoemwork last night before crashing.
Bunnies have a body temp of 104 F--yes, warm bundles!
did you have Flopsy, Mopsy and Cottontail after Peter?
So, only 10 % to go, Jade.
bunnys
Morning, all.
No, Callie, Sebastian, Gandalf the Grey, and Tucker John.
I think I can get away with having help for the last 10% Scrabbler. It *is* a group project.
morning jade
You mean this grid, Jade?
Scabble i love pets but i cant look after myself so no animals for me
How old are you, Lady?
No, Scrabbler, I do mean actual homework.
Maybe you don't want to say, but it does get easier, Lady, as you get older.
nearly 30 i live in a flat and its tiny and i dont have a job yet and im never home so really a big responsibilty, I kill house plants
*mumbles something about needing caffeine & breakfast*
I am a fellow house plant killer.
I'll brb
What kind of courses are you taking, Jade?
*joins the house plant killing guild*
Jade get a 33ounce mug of coffee and that will tie you over
I have just 2 indoor plants, they were gifts. One is a Christmas cactus, so not watering it is acceptable. The other plant I notice when it is wilting.
i sadly just killed my plant that i got given the day my friend died, its a bulb plant so im hopeing to revive it
I had 4 cups of coffee, but no breakfast yet, so my blood sugar is plummeting
scrabblers cannot live on caffeine alone
That lone N word on the far left--clue?
my friend will be gone 2 years this friday, im having my 2 funky teeth out 3 days before easter so no choc for me
like s 4/5, but start with an n
you so can live on coffee alone he he he
TY, bookgrrl---new word for me
me, too, scrabbler!
"Wisdom" teeth, Lady?
yep one impacted and one next to it, and what ever else they can do as im holding off looking for work to get this done otherise i have to spend up to $500
scrabbler, I'm in broadcasting school right now. And we are almost at the end.
cool, Jade, so what is your goal?
I had 4 wisdom teeth removed in college---good luck, Lady
thank goodness mine have never decidedto appear!
ekky, thanks scrabbler my lovely boy is taking 2 days off work to look after me, mine grew wrong after i got punched in the head 3 times in high school, well thats what i think
LUCKY for you, Atalante. I fainted at home after the procedure and my mother and sister had to carry me to bed.
My original goal was to be on radio, on the air. But I find I have a natural talent for production, and audio direction, scrabbler. And I enjoy doing weather a great deal.
another clue for the an9 please
Lots of people have crooked or impacted wisdom teeth, Lady
yah jade - can you too talk under water?
Good for you, Jade. I wet my pants at the thought of public speaking
my wisdom teeth were impacted. And sadly, no I cannot talk under water. But I can make it sound like I can.
an + se 6 (the amino acid)
owie scrabbler!
*starts to whine* But I don't WANNA go to school today!!!
I can *just* about talk underwater, if I'm using a regulator
The amino acid sounds life the word for peaceful, tranquil, but change the 2nd vowel from E to i
Jade i can talk under water
and i don't have the amino acid
nvm
wow, atalante!
now im stuck on these bloody s s sss
how can you do that herin?
*whines more* I don't wanna get dressed!
i dont know im a freak
And I DON'T want to go to work--1-7:30 then a boring, stupid business mtg in which my boss, Richard Head, is a jerk
please tell me that really is his name??!!
LOL....yes, is that really his name?
LOL, no, but he is a narcissistic, control freak!
my old BF from high school had the last name Head, and his uncle really was named Richard!
hey evanadine!
You mentioned that before, Eva---LOL!
mornin all. :)
hey even
my ghost words today: anxiety and simile
*flops back onto the bed* I am boycotting school today!
Evan sorry
LOL!
I need to get breakfast---BBL
I worked for a Herr Burger and he was a cheif
bye scrabbler.
i almost boycotted work today! the BF was "working from home" today, so i didnt wanna go in either!!
later scrabbler
Unfortunately, I can't really boycott school. It's imperative I go in.
I'm going to be gone the rest of the week, so I need to go in today.
But I don't *wanna* go......
I'd much rather stay home & sleep.
awwwwwww
good afternoon everybody:)
Grovel time. te6/18 and te7/28 please
hi Jean!
Need to change icon! Photo of Sophie Pickle is so bad
oh alleyn not at all how sweet is she bless
:)
what do you tutor, Alleyn?
good morning
No she's a demon know as Sophie Pickle! Hopefully will be easier when goes off to school in September. I tutor backward readers in a local primary
hello harpjane:)
oh that must be so rewarding!
Sometimes deeply frustrating but also amazing on occasions. Teaching one 10 year old who then went on to teach her parents was worth all the heartache
the only te6.18 I have is the pl of sea birds
Yes! Got the birds .........
that
Hi, all. I have a te7/28, usually associated with the strength of a wire, rope, etc
is it for now.. now on list, started really late, sorry Alleyn.. ooh, ty Scarlet... and hi!
Scarlet - Got that one as well
what are the main reasons for children finding it hard to read? Is it mainly things like dyslexia / other known medical things? Or teaching, or what?
Findling today's really, really hard
Alleyn is that your little beastie?
Yea!! Hello, Alo and everyone!
using the same start as scarlet;s word, end with either **
ei7,44 plz
wahoo, you can pl that one also
te6/18 - one who does the action relating to the previous te7.
herllo scarlet:)
Don't have the ei - sorry
Hello, jean and Haz and everyone!
ei plus a reworking of an old-fashioned term for pigs.
Hello Scarlet.
hi Scarlet!
Hi, Ata!
got it, ex. clue, Haz... ty for the ei
You're welcome.
mm, is that the delicious after dinner drink?
Atalante. Many, many reasons. I don't handle severe learning difficulties but kids who do not have English as their language at home. Come from homes with no books etc. and ones that have been ill. Those are just a few of the reasons.
Superb clue, Haz. Thank you.
Glad it helped, Scarlet.
Old fashioned pigs? No longer pink or what????????????/
the idea of having no books at home ... *shudder*
No, an old-fashioned name for them - think of the Biblical story of the prodigal son - who would fain have filled his belly with the husks the ? did eat.
Pulp fiction, "I don't dig on ______"
Thanks for that great clue, Haz1558! Wow! That one was next to impossible for me...spent waaaay to long on it!
It's such a peculiar word - never encountered it before.
Clue still eluding me
think german pig Alleyn
ei, a plural letter, then rework the produce of the vine.
lol,, what fun to mistype something and have it accepted..(-:
good for you aloy!
must away, need to take the dogs out before I go to work, Happy Babbling everyone:)
Bye jean.
later, Jean
Got it. Finally .............
See you later, jean1953.
Alo, that surprises me constantly... a miscue on the keyboard and I mutter, "wow"... LOL
yup, surprises like that are nice
hello
hi blue
Good morning, bluesoul.
the ro 8 has to do with the flower I think, but I can't get the second part. A clue for that?
where the flowers might be grown
ro8/40 - looks like a combination of the flower and beads used in prayer, though spelled wrongly
Morning, Bunglers. er I mean Babblers.
hi again Haz!
Thank you again, Haz. Hello, Judi.
thks Haz
ty, Haz.. got it
Hello Atalante - just passing through, I should really be doing a few errands but was taking advantage of a few quieter moments.

hi blue
thoy -- if you go pro, you get a chart of how many words stem from each tile. and if you go to "lickety's babble clues" (linked at the bottom) it gives you clues for the words -- let you know how many of each are in the grid.
coffee stops me from harming my partners house mate
hello my darlin R angle
i love my coffee, too...but I limit myself to one pot of frenchpress per day
unless I go see friends at a coffee shop....:)
I want to get one of those stovetop espresso makers
What kind of coffee do you drink, herinfern? I have to have my gourmet beans that I grind myself. I'm such a coffee snob.
thns evan,,...but is pro more difficult ?? I have enuff probs with this one !!
pro is the same puzzle :)
thoy -- its the same grid -- going pro just gets you extras that help you out. :)
i go to gloria jeans but it depends on if the CRAP coffee guy is there, i useually drink Gloria Geans(?) flavor beans, today we have Butter Toffee, sometimes blueberry morning sometimes white russian
do you pee the 2 L back into your cup, lady? *giggle* no need to get up from the babbling.....
nope
and eeewww
wow maybe thatsn what I need... and I thought every1 was so much btighter than me ;-))
hhahahaha...sorry, sometimes I have the most juvenile sense of humor
i am a role player im used to way too much coffee not enough sleep and too much game time what ever game im playing
Uhg. Fruit flavored coffee I cannot do. I'm a hazelnut and vanilla fan though.
heh, a buddy of mine was a big D&D and Shadowrun player and he had the same problem
mmm hazelnut
oh shadowrun cool my partners running that at the moment
I am a straight up coffee kinda chick. I'm drinking (organic free trade) ethiopian harrar right now.
i like it--the local farmers' market roasts it on site, so it's always full flavored and fresh tasting
Gloria Jeans has free trade stuff, i cant Starbucks and wish it would bugger off
starbuck's burns their coffee beans so you can't taste how stale and flavorless they are.
oh is that the deal with them
Haven't heard of Gloria Jeans. Starbucks is okay in a pinch. Most of it's too strong for me though. I like a mellower blend.
oh Gloria Jeans is an AUssie brand but the are expanding in the US
in the sixties we had to drive from Montana to San Francisco to get good coffee. We'd stock up and keep it in the freezer.
i think ive seen a gloria jeans in a mall in baltimore...
yeah...a lot of coffee's flavor has to do with how recently it's been roasted, and how recently it's been ground. starbucks, any big coffee producer, has to have beans with a longer shelf life
http://www.gloriajeans.com/
now Montana has great coffee--I was doing my field work up there a few years ago, and I had some of the best damn coffee from the most ramshackle looking places. then we drove out through to eastern washington...coffee was awesome everywhere
there is a usa indicator at this site and add an au for aus
Yes, most mass producers use "robusto" beans. Which means, literally, rubber. Stick with the mountain growns and you'll have fine coffee.
We grind our own with a Braun, and the taste is surreal... we love rich, strong coffee. Now, with all this coffee-talk, I am yearning for some banana- streusel muffins... which I shall go create! See you in about an hour and a half! LOL
yeah...robusto beans, but also "dark" roast....hahahaha
have any of you guys ever ad equal exchange coffee? or are you just discussing coffee at coffee ouses?
yeah...fair trade, equal exchange...
What the ell, Anyas? You got something against H's?? lol
sorry, it sticks on my computer.
Fair trade and equal exchanges coffees are usually quite good.
break time.. bbl
See you, Alo. I must go make muffins!
how many words today?
there's a coffee house in my town that exclusively uses fair trade beans--they get 'em green and roast them themselves. they have the best coffee. a few years ago, they brought some of the farmers here to meet their customers (I think the farmers were coming to the US for some sort of convention, too)

ae5/10 think astrological sign

Atalante are you still there?
wow. I log in and the list goes quiet... hi all.
Hello stidmama!
hey, stidmama
tensile
{{{knut!}}} how's our girl?
hi stid
am here!
thanks all (especially Cryptic) :-) was beginning to think I had gone babble-deaf
shes doing great, stid :-) not quite walking, but there is a mouth full of teeth, lots of movement, and she even says hi and daddy at the right times.
Just wanted to check that there was still some sanity left in the world.
my picture is from her birthday last tuesday
how cool is that! a year already, how time flies.
she is just beautiful (always has been). glad to see her hair is staying bright!
siren
yep :-) I think we've got a strawberry blonde on our hands.
matches her blue-grey eyes well
do you ever have this problem with Spangle, Haz? http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/51 731630/
just what I was thinking! and how about yourself? are you staying busy? rofl...
nagh, so many hours to just toil around here... *snickering*
so stidkid#2 twisted his ankle yesterday and I kept him home for observation. Pretty sure it's just a little strain, but didn't want him being silly on the playground. So I get to teach "least common multiple" to him!
especially since we added the puppy. (bad idea, btw, puppy = extra needy baby)
puppy? you got a DAWG? oh dear, and does masochism run in the family or -- ??
Are you ready for the shock, Atalante? Spangle sleeps outside in her kennel...... but she does love to hug during the day....
*shocked*!!!! :)
Stid - I think you can turn Babble into a math lesson... :) maybe not least common multiple but definitely some algebra!
Husband with very set views on where a dog should sleep.....
yes, I believe it does. I'll trade you my fussy teething girl and her hyper puppy for your least common multiples!
saying that, holly only gets to be with me at night once a week, the rest of the time she lurks in her basket
*giggle* Dogs are okay sleeping outside usually, but with no fences here ours stay in with us at night.
She is inside with me all day, but is resigned to being turfed outside at night.
thanks BGL, I was considering my options... LOL I did find some good explanations online (though I already knew what I wanted to say, I wanted to be sure I used the right terms).
hm. only if I can send the LCMs to you WITH the older kid (teenager you know)...
Husband now home for his evening meal, so I'd better disappear again....
but when she's allowed in the bedroom, she *always* sneaks up me. ending with trying to sleep on my head
later Haz...
I supervise teens at work all day, that I would agree to. now where is my transporter.... Scotty!?
ttfn, haz!
when my dear Tom is away, the German Shepherd figures it's his turn... *sigh* unless the little dog jumps up first and then I have to listen to growling all night long.
Did you get a new job, knut?
no, still work the grocery gig. I did get transferred to a new store, which is much smaller than my previous so now i function mostly as a supervisor, and since i only work nights, i get all the teen workers.
Knutmeg where in Illinois are you?
oh I see -- well supervising them is good experience for later!
Live in Mundelein, work in Glenview, both are just north of chicago
how many words?
246 today
I work in Glenview too, where do you work?
Oh yes, although i hope I never have to break up broom closet trysts with Livia...
also, live in Buffalo Grove
Jewel on Pfingsten/Willow
I go there sometimes :-D
I am on Pfingsten and Lake
:-) if you're ever there at night I'm at the service desk. i've got Livia on a button on my vest.
okay, kid is ready to learn, I think I am ready to teach.
good luck!
It wouldn't be likely, but I will keep in mind
I would be more likely to run in there at lunch time or after work
such a small world
You'll do fine, knutmeg. She'll be smart, and you'll know how to introduce good dating habits ;-)
back later.
:-) sometimes i work as early as 2, but probably not for awhile, the other closing supervisor is outwith back/kidney problems. so i will be starting at 5 all week
laterz, stid!
Had me some lunch, and feeling less cranky. To the grid! ***splash***
okay, my monkey is failing... es7, anyone?
es + 2nd vowel + ***s* cycle on the washing machine

G'd afternoon Cyber
G'd afternoon MP

246
246, and hello MP
ty
you too lori
246
okay, this grid goes a bit far with the comparisons.
I keep on wanting an 'a' but there aren't any.
lower left corner, not that its much use
me5/12 the first, anyone?
well bye everyone
me + ***r, or a dirty look
oh gosh, duh.
Later MP
thank you, lori!
ei 7?
ei + sounds like a word for pig, with the letters rearranged.
ei + snake letter + hot dogs or ****ers
ty lori
so now we add german to the vocab mix!
ei 7 is wine made from late harvest riesling grapes...
yes, but around here (an our region is famous for it) it's called by the english name -- ice wine
and it's not late harvest, it is wine made from grapes that have been picked at -11F. Quite a procedure -- a split usually costs around $45.00
have 165 words time to go to list i think
I give up. re 6/21 please?
well it's late harvest in that it's not usually picked until the brix is perfect and the the temp is cold enough usually late oct or nov
ne6/18? (sadly, don't have that r yet)
that indeed is a late harvest wine, chic -- ice wine differs in that the grapes must be frozen and not picked at a temperature above -11 degrees to receive the designation of 'ice wine'.
ne + a** you kidding me + what ** up with that?
thank you again!
just read your profile, chic -- have you ever read any of the "Cat Who...." novels by Lillian Braun?
good clues loru
lori
How about the last re 5/20?
and that's why it's so expensive because the conditions are unpredictable etc. I managed wine shops for many years in WA state..
lori- re/6/21 re+ double hump + what ** up with that+ second vowel
Yes a few of Braun's I've read.. but not lately..
Thank ye muchly knut!!!!!
re5/20 plural for tyrannosaurus re*
You are absolutely right --- two years ago the gong went at 2:00 am on New Years Day and all the pickers had to turn out to the vineyards! --- I wonder how many of them were sober?!
Bless you! Bless you! Bless you knut!
ne8?
Bye bye re's, thanks again knut!
are you near Kelwona (sp?0?
you're welcome, Lori. :-)
yes -- I live in Kelowna
ah lovely region for growing grapes...
any help?
evening everybody, am at work yet again lol so in and out of grid:)
we are very fortunate -- a great supply of wonderful wines if you like whites. Although to get the really good VQA wines we still have to stock up in the fall before they are sold out.
nvm onthe n8, found it, yay
we have a small growing region here in AZ if you can believe it. a little micro climate area just southeast of us. The wineries there do get some of their grapes from CA for various varietals..
all the ne's are bult from the ne 4/8
where abouts in AZ is that, chic?
hello again
just south of the wine region of NY here
wb blue
hello bluesoul:)
it's called Elgin and Sonoita about 60 mi. southeast of Tucson..
We have spent a lot of time in AZ, but mostly in the Phoenix - Green Valley region
We haven't made it to that part of the state, yet.
en7.32 clue please
Do you ever get any of the BC VQA designated wines down there?
the en7 of my en7 are my friends
the people who aren't your friends are your en7/32
looking for it too, Nanette
thanks got it
good clue bluesoul
We probably do; we have some very good wine shops in Tucson.
ty
how is REWORE not found in the dictionary?
Are you talking Green Valley just south of Tucson?
hello everyone
lo
hello bena:)
Because ther is a lovely drive thru the back country to Sonoita...
G'd afternoon jean, beana, any that I've missed.
dont you hate it when your server goes down with 50 words to go??? Happened to me at 10 am. Now I have to go to my aquacize class. Evrybody send good vibes please tht the server is still up when I come back.
They are mostly estate wines often not exported as they can't keep up with demand locally. We have some very strict laws regarding quantity and content of the estate wines. You might want to plan a trip up here some time to coincide with the fall wine festival (first week in October) -- it is well worth it.
wo6/30/2 is a word? they need to check their grammar handbook
Hi all - forgive the n00b question, but why doesn't EERIES work?
guess I should get back to the grid!!!!
apologies for monopolizing the chat, folks
hello cnssjw:)
Unfortunately my wine exploration days are over due to diabetes and other factors.
Fireworks, finally. this grid was not an easy one.
What a shame, chic
bet that's a right pain...my dad's had diabetes for 10 years or so now
I think that a wo 6/30 dictionary than Enable has never been created!
congratulations Angelsong:)
Congrats Angel!!!!
and a friend of mine just found out his blood sugar level was 1140...how he didn't slip into a coma is beyond me
congrats, angel
yes we had a lovely wine collection once; only occasionly do I drink a fine wine.
Oh Bluesoul, he should have been dead; I've never heard of any one going over 800..

Hello jean - I feel like I'll never see the end of this grid. I've been picking at it all day.
me too *sigh*
lol I know the feeling Haz. I dont think im going to finish this one as am work yet again:)
ok, last 2 words, the se 6/21, se 7/28 combo.. does anyone have that yet?
se6/21 - one who appears to be something, and plural
Sounds like, but is spelled differently to those who put things in to hold clothes together.
got that one, it's a little bit past that
the se7 is 28 pts
But wrong clue.....
se6/18 - se plus what controls a horse
And plural is se7/28
no, it's the se 6/21 and se 7/28 combo i'm looking for
oops, sorry it is 18, but i have the one you just mentioned
twiddle around haz's one a bit
se6/18 - anagram of the other, sounds like peaceful
Hot Ham they sound like 'scissor/s'..
li 6?
i have that one, it's the word after it. if i'm thinking of the right word for your cue
li6 - was in the grid a couple of days ago - li plus a seabird
ty haz --- btw -- my memory is shot -- getting scary!
ty!
You're welcome, cybernan.
ok Hot ham, the next se 6/7 sounds peaceful without the extra e in the middle ( 3rd vowel)
Hi everyone
Hell o peri.
I have the in9 and ne9 may I have a clue for the remaining 9 please
hello periwinkle:)
hi peri
an 8/40?
an 8/9 add the se I just clued (se 6/7)
I participated in a memory test at one of the local colleges. One of the words on one of the lists was Fireworks so you know that I remembered that one :)
an 9: an + misspelled "calm, collected" -- then plural
thanks chic and nan
ok. so enable allows that an8/9 but not the an5 that would be its roots? duh
Ata, I keep trying that an root word and it is never accepted
me too. it *really* bugs me
And nerine is in the grid again, and still not acceptable.
i know the word you're talking about..just can't spell it wrong..
I now have an8/40, in8/40x2, mi8/45, ne8/60 what am I missing
Forget that - it's not in the grid. The letters are.
*kicks enable*

ei7/44 is german for ice wine
brb
I'm Jewish. Is there another hint for the 1st 2 Si words except for Easter Cake? I really don't want to go through 10,000 Easter recipes to find the right words.
Minski, I know from Easter and I never heard that stupid easter cake word
minski -- you can google it -- hi all
whew...i locked my kid out!! lol had to let him in
(calling DCFS to report child abuse)
The Easter cake is a tradition in England, and not a stupid word
si words sound like the book that has songs in church
Thanks, got the li4 and the en7 now just the ei/// I am in Florida.....
man, i need to broaden my vocabulary
good clue maccafixx
Is it a religious word? Should I be looking for Catholic websites?
no you will never find it
take your wallet out minski..the catholic church will find you
ty jean, still need help with the ei 7/44
Minski, just Google English Easter Cake and it will be the third listing, the word will be right there
sorry..couldn't resist..didn't mean to offend anyone
Thanks Macca. That got me close enough to guess. Got them both.
I agree. THose are not words.
ei7 is german for ice wine, uses the german word for each
Go minski!
min...spare me the google search please....clue it for me in noncatholic cake terms
what u see out of + alcoholic beverage in a glass
for ei 7/44
someone did...it sounds like a book of songs in church, but spelled differently
If you google Easter Cake you will get the 4th link down (a BBC one) and the answer is there
if you Google English Easter Cake it is the third listing
i am too lazy to google search, i will just skip it!
Thanks everyone....Fireworks for me,,,now back to work.....
That was a clue I gave some time ago but it probably wouldn't help someone who is Jewish
YAY Nancy
the si words sound like the books that have songs in church. to quote mecca
momof3, I don't like to google either, but the word is in the third listing if you just Google English Easter Cake, really easy
sorry make that macca
thanks for the ei clue Za! Fireworks!
YAY macca!!!
that is ok peri....not that important!..i like to enjoy this..not make it into work by going on scavenger hunts. :)
ok just trying to help :)
the problem is that people keep saying Easter Cake and not English Easter Cake. I got 5 pages of cake recipes and how to make bunnies, etdc.
if i wanted to work, i would be doing homework and googling and researching for that!! LOL :)

Make that es 7/28 e + the 3rd se 5/10 + vowel
thanks macca
apparently i offended jill..didn't mean to
I KEEP PUTTING IN "MEAN"...UGH
what does the two leters (es) and the numbers (7/28) mean? i still dont get it :(
Forgot how many se's there are. I hope I didn't lead anyone astray it's actually es 7/28 e + the 6th se 5/10 + vowel
Hi all, getting a very late start to such a large grid.
es is what the word starts with...like..EStates and the 7 means, there is 7 letters in the word and the 28 means it is worth 28 points
Momof3, did you get the si clue?
i feel silly for asking for this but ne4/4 please
hello Mom

i did mom...apparently after i offended jill by not getting their clue
Hi Ren8
REPEAT THE FIRST NE

Maybe she just had to take her lunch then.
hula goose
ne just repreat it and it took my a long time to remember this one :)
the goose, man how did i miss that, thanks macca
by looking at lickety's list..but i think you would be better off asking someone else to explain that to you...i would only confuse you more..i don't use the list much....
TY pAB , THAT ONE COMES UP IN ALOT OF GRIDS
I think your explanation was a very good one, Momof3
however wee....look under the grid...see where it says, lickety list..click it and it will pop up, take a peek at it.
yes a regular babblet
thanks mom...where were you a few minutes ago?? i was getting beat up over the si clue LOL :)

I was just getting on when Jilli went to lunch
Im ok thanks Macca, enjoy your lunch
Have a good lunch Maccafixx
hi all...if anyone can give a clue for the ei 7, 44, I would appreciate it...seems to be a big blank even going to the list. Thanks all.

i should use the google opportunity as a lesson, but i go to college f/t...enough researching and googling for that!
ty ty Scarlet!!!!!
ren..didn't even see your clue! sorry LOL

Im only messing momof3, I dont mind honestly
YW, Read-Knit-Bake!
i KNOW THAT! ...... silly goose LOL
ty for all your tips..i started through today's chat but that can be a lenghty process when one stops to read all the conversations! :)
but now that i scrolled back...wine wouldn't have helped LOL
oh! i didnt know you could use the same letter twice!
gosh these re's are really getting me down now, I HATE THEM
oh no i cant
honestly, i never get the clues when they are foreign references....i do better with fill-in-the-blank clues, like scarlet just gave.

Nono, one night I had just one word left, a four-letter one at that, and nothing I did make any sense. I was too stubborn to ask for help on it, and later, discovered I was looking at the wrong end of the grid to find it. Color me very thick... and I don't think I have learned to expand my vision since then... LOL
ok....must go throw raw meat at the natives and get to the gym....good luck all....WELCOME wee man
Thank you Minski, congrats Nono and have fun Momof3

I had to change my picture. We took Paigey skiing for the 1st time this weekend. She's just a bit over 2. She loved it and doesn't understand why she can't ski anymore. I keep trying to explain that you need snow to ski.
it feels really good :)
indeed Scarlet
LOL, wee!
What a darling picture, Minski
Thanks Mom.
Minski, she is a darling little girl...
She kept saying more....more for about 20 minutes then it was all done...out....out. The guys in the rental office didn't even charge us for her equipment. It was huge for her. So cute and funny.
Maybe you're incubating an Olympian, Minski?? LOL
Maybe. Waterville Valley has produced more than a few Freestyle Skiers for the US Ski Team.
did you catch my drift scarlet?
a clue for re5/20 please, I think there is only one
There must be something in the air, Minski!
tine
sprry
No pressure though. Going that far involves competeing and skiing every weekend all winter and spring and committing summers to ski camps, etc etc. If she wants it that's fine but it's a huge committment and I won't push her.
not to worry I have found it now
My children have continued to amaze me their entire lives, and all I had to do was support them emotionally, listen to their minds and hearts, and hug them breathless when they returned.
yepper. I'm there with you Scarlet.
It's the only recipe I know...

If you're looking for the mi8/45, it is plural of the most dejected feelings, also the plural of a Stephen King nove.
el 5 and 6 = tree resin and plural
i'll take some clues for other 8's besides the mi :)
Think of a truncated word for the early schooling before middle school, with an i instead of an e for the third vowel... and plural
thanks Kateq. Am looking
Firefly, I have an8/40 and the pl. 9/54. Sounds like a response to a question, minus the "w", add ending of citrus fruit tanger***

Minski did you get your se 6 and 7?
I think so. Now I'm looking for the ES7&8.

There are two sets of se6/7, which are anagrams of each other. Shuffle the last 3 letters of the 6's
the other se combo sounds like a tool you use for cutting things...
Bye, Minski.
lol hurshy!
yes but there is another se6/7 combo... saw?
no more like paper or material
se4.4 + either **
Ahh. Like something used to measure earthquakes, perhaps.

all the e's and s's and r's and n's all over the place are just confusing!
brb
i needs the first so6/30 and i'll be done
1st te 6/18 please
it's a stoopid word
I keep thinking such and such a word isn't there, and then it turns out later that it was, if I had just used an entirely different set of the same letters.
a muscle: the te6 fatti lasci (dunno if i'm spelling those right)
take so5/18 and change the last letter and then plural

Hello everyone from Atlanta, Ga. What's the object of the game?
hey SMDNJV
doug came home with a bottle of SPICY V8 juice. daniel wanted some, and liked it. he was doing great, till he drained half his little cup. now he's running around with his mouth open and tongue out! doug's getting him some milk.
Hi Une...Hi Feather
Hello everyone from Atlanta, Ga. What's the object of the game? TO WIN
Feel silly asking, but need hint for the last li4
Nope, that's not it at all, knight! The object of the game is to have fun. =)

the question wasn't mine, i copied it from Vonciel
can anyone please clue the 1st te 6/18
knight...the game is like boggle. the grid below tells you how many words from each letter can be made.
te6/18 - a muscle te6 fascia lata; a number + aching minus last letter

Hiya Haz!!!
And SMDNJV! How are you, Annie? Hello again, Haz.
lookit 'em crawl out of the woodwork! you could have heard a pin drop in here earlier!
Hello Annie and Scarlet.
Scarlet, how was your time with the grandkids? How is your hubby?
We have the Hawaiian goose today
which one's that annie?i know the babblet, but can never connect it to the goose
EXcuuuussssseeee me?! Crawled?? I'll have you know I sidled into my computer room! Annie, it was heaven on earth to see the little ones, and we laughed for hours with them. Beloved is doing very well, thank you. Isn't it amazing what the love of a grandchild can do for energy levels? LOL
lol scarlet
feather, I sashayed in....scarlet, grandkids are good medicine
hey guys im bak
Hello, wee_man. ARe you ready to re-attack the grid?

That's very impressive for a first run, wee_man.
Annie, you sashayed, I sidled, and Feather... how did you enter?
i hope so
ut im addicted
i plonked.
my shape is not conducive to sashaying or sidling any more!
theres tonnes of e's
That's why I'm asking.. so, you, er, um, bounced in?
nope, more like moseyed, then plonked on the couch
Plonked... now, there's a Babble Word Supremo!
i like it!
i saw many more words right off the bat with yesterday's grid. don't seem to be doing as well today
I need some real emergency help with this grid, especially the s-words. Yesterday's grid was fun and fairly fast, but today is making me work very hard. Is anyone clueing tonight for the less adept? LOL
i would, but only have 69 words so far!
ro5/5 like a flower with an extra vowel
nele
oops
I have 23 words left to find, and it isn't looking great. Does anyone have the se5/18 and 6/30 combo after the plural finches? Please?
i only have 4 out of the 8 8 letter words :(
wanna oopsie a word that's really in the grid? lol, jk
:)
you tried it i see
Scarlet - I have finished, so might be able to help.
yup, i'm a follower like that
i am too (but don't tell anybody)
hehe
se5/18 - se plus a three letter argument/means of propelling a boat
serow
not THATS an oops
And then plural for se6/30
Thank you very much, Haz. That seems to be our relationship in Babbleland! Thank goodness for your goodness! Found them! Thank you, Haz!
ha, i did it before i saw yours in the box!
You're welcome.
I also have trouble with the four words listed prior to Samoan coin: se5/10; se6/18; se6/18; and se7/28.
Begin with the se5/10 - formed by adding a vowel to Spanish six. se6/18 adds a consonant to make it the person who.
The next se6/18 is structured in the same way, but replaces the final vowel with another. Then plural for se7/28
thanks haz
No problem, feather.
Thank you, Haz. I now have the first se combo. Now, I have the second. I never heard of those words before this evening.
thank you, Haz
Put them in the memory bank for future reference!
which one is the goose babblet? i never remember.
ne4/4 is the goose.
LOL. I must, because I have a feeling that they are frequent visitors.
ne4/4

Hello cw.
Hello, cwwizard.
hi cw

Just do it. And no recriminations.
there are not enough eeeeeeeeesssss
This is one of those grids that compel you to "list" earlier than usual....
i would at least like to get below 100
*compels* Bad!
one-compels ; grids-compel sounded ok to me :)
at first i thought you might have said a word, but too bad, no 'c' or 'p'
LOL, hk.
ok 99 - off to the list
I cannot find the last re word, no matter how much I have mon-keyed it. It is listed after the process of reseeding. Thank you to anyone who helps.
there are 2 processes of reseeding that i have
It's an unlikely plural of a Latin king
Hmmmm. Haz, I'm looking.
Plural of Re* Harrison the actor
Or r + former romantic partners.
ah - i didn't have that one
hiya jac!
Evening all, btw.
has anyone got ae5/10?
Thank you to Haz, bookwomen and Jacula. Hey, Jac! Good to see you!
Good evening, Jacula.
ae=eagles nest
same as ee scary, but change the first two vowels
ae5/10 - usually clued as an eagle's nest
yay thank you
down to 85, going to take a little break here, bbl
See you later, Hell.
Bye helen.
Until later, helen.
Haz - are you done? I've still got 16 to go. Was busy in the greenhouse for most of day.
Yes, Jacula, finished earlier in the day. We had great weather today as well.
A belated 'well done' to you then, Haz.
Thank you - it was one of those days when I kept having to come and go. It was a relief to get finished.
I'll be done soon; down to 11 now. Sad news, btw. I found Dot, one of our young g/pigs, dead this evening.
You've been having a real run of deaths lately - that's too bad.
Worse today because it's my daughter's birthday.:-( She's out for the night and so I haven't told her.
Haz just on congrats all i see is e,s
That does make it worse, Jacula - will she be quite upset?
Thanks diem - the e letter does tend to predominate, and s doesn't want to be far behind.
Not as upset as she used to get when she was younger. At least I hope not.
in 9, 54
medical term
in9/54 - those who are held without trial or charge
oh, yes, ty
You're welcome.
TKS haz not often i start with a 9
Goodness - I'm drowning in a sea of 's' words here.
Don't forget to 'deconstruct' the in9 - there are lots of words in the sequence.
got those, now just need the first or second in 5,10
The s words appeared to be endless.
The first in5/10 - something which is laid into something el4/4
got that one, it's the other, I guess
Oh well, at least the 's' words are normal words.
in5/10 - to bury - it begins the whole sequence
oh, what a dope I had them both the whole time!
sorry haz -- you're so sweet
the first ee,6,18 plz
That's okay!
n.m found it
Hi everyone, help with last re7/28 please

I would suggest you see your dr right away
pain is a sign you need to see the doctor
Breast tissue is also very vascular so you could have a clot or blockage ... either way, see your dr right awy
pain could be from something minor like inflammation from an infection

Hi Dispatch! How are you doing? Welcome to the grid
Hello Jacula! How are you doing? Welcome to the grid
I haven't had a lot of time to cook when working full time. Have just cut my hours to part time and plan on doing more cookinig
doxy - Why not? You've had lots of cold weather over there. Stew weather, surely? LOL
I still have so many words left to find! 118...
Hi Minver.
hi min...doing well thank you. how are you? close to fireworks yet?
doxy - use the pressure cooker method for the stew. It's quick.
No,I am not close to fireworks and probably I will not even get close to fireworks! I have 174 words so far.
hiya dis!
will do that now that I have the time.
Does anybody have a clue for the le 7/28 word please
le7 - more of the le4 before it
Had a lovely dinner earlier. Salmon filllets cooked in the oven in lightly oiled foil, with broccoli, cauliflower and baby potatoes + dill sauce. Gorgeous.
My goal tonight is 200 words, which was my goal last night as well. I got 201 words last night.I can't finish such big grids like these during the week with work.
sound yummy jacula
okay, I need help with the li4/4's
Thank you for the le 7/28 clue. Finished le words now
yep - yummers
re6/21?
T'was, Doxy! *licks lips in remembrance*
you did great on yesterday's grid then! i got to the flip with 7 left! frustration was rampant!!
li 4/4 is when you do not tell the truth ladynoir1013.
li4 - a legal claim on property
30 to go
I can not believe that I just monkeyed the an8 and 9...never even heard of that word before!
li4 - a musical instrument of old
re6/21 = re + first 4 letters of what Scrooge was.
go green
47 here, helen! these darn se's
don't have that one yet min
71 left here
re6/21 - stick an m in a re6/18 somewhere
dispatch - arrrrgh, i think i had 2 left, either yesterday or the day before :(
got that one, I need the ones before and after the li4 that rhymes with fire
thanks for the clue jac
li4/4 is when a bank puts a li** on your house.li 4/4 is a person that doesn't tell the truth w/different last vowel ladynoir1013. Those are all the li 4/4's I have.
tooknap - are you still lost in the sea of 's' words? Horrible isn't it? They're all normal words though.
i don't think they're all normal - i quit the se's & moved on
normal, but oh so many
li + r + 3rd vowel
another li4 is not truths
Got that one doxy, monkeyed it
I just need the one before the musical instrument
Hell - they're all real words, I promise you! The 's' words, I mean.
would someone help with the sr 4/4 please? I think I have tried all possible combinations and am still stuck!
anothor is an instrument i think.
Another li 4/4 is li + Rhode Island initials ladynoir1013
li4 - an untruth
swviola - the sr4/4 is a Babblet. s + what the sun does when it comes up - the lastt letter.

Hello swviola! How are you doing? Welcome to the grid
Thanks!! got it!
Hi Minver? I am quite well thanks, and you??
Well done, swv.
sr4/4 is a plural of a 3 letter "name?"
can I have help with the ei word?
Evening all. Back for my last 80. Don't know if I can last that long.
I'm doing well swviola, but not going to finish the grid
Hi puptone! How are you doing? Welcome to the grid!
ei + geman for pig
I don't think I will either...my bedtime is near!!
how about plural of Sr* Lanka?
er... geman
crap my R is broken
I still don't understand why anyone puts words onto the Lickety list instead of just entering them. You don't get penalised on here for wrong words, you know. Not yet, anyway. *evil grin* You can just wait until you can't see another single word and then download Lickety's (or BJ's) printable list.
lol
Hello dlfox! How are you doing? Welcome to the puzzle
I dont have babble pro, so lickety helps me
hi minerv
last se 6, 33?
re6/30, last one?
Pay up Black Lady! It isn't that much for a lifetime's membership. LOL.
I just use lickety to figure out the length of the words I need...if I can't figure them all out myself...it is part of the puzzle isn't it?
anyone know what oo5/10 means?
dlfox - click on the question mark next to the word & it will tell you the dfinition - it's like magic!
However, (sound of old person talking) I remember thee days when neither of the lists existed. We just took our chances then... worked hard, thought hard and just got on with it. *grins*
Most of us still do it that way.
I did - undefined
i always wait as long as possible then print list, never tried entering into lickety first, seems twice the work
I do too, until i cant find anymore on my own, then I go to lickety
se6/33-a person who's more good-looking/handsome.
yeah - that was after she walked all the way to the computer, shoeless, in the snow, uphill both ways, LOL
I just dont want to print the list and then write it by hand
sometimes I can finish the puzzle without the list...usually the clues in the chat are more fun than the list, but I do use it. lol hk
I do that,I print the list and write the words by hand
i do not go to the list until after I get half the words.
a clue for the ne6/18 please?
Everyone has their own way of doing it, the point is to have fun with it
I'm missing an re 5/10, 6/18 combo, it is in the middle of the list, after what you give the landlord. Help?
I have fun indeed
is there a desire for 3 letter clues e.g.
wor 5 / 18 wor 6 / 30 wor 6 / 30
re + look with your eyes
Hell, dear friend, I appreciate the Monty Pythonesque post. LOL. However, what I was working up to saying was that we only had our own resources and each other to finish the grids and that's why the Babble community grew as it did.
add a consonant to the end
Holy cow...I just got the se5/12...should have spotted that one a long time ago!
doxy was that for me?
yep
Monty Python post? Did I miss that ? lol
& a great community it is too!
got it thanks
Any hints for the last me5?
so, what is the german for pig anyway?
shvine
sw*ne
spam spam spam spam,,,,I"m a lumberjack and I'm okay...
bratwurst?
lady noire - print the list and then write it by hand? You can just save the list to 'notepad' and then stick it up next to your wordlist, you know. Just so long as you've exhausted all other possiblities before you do that. LOL.
I joined the community after the lists were available...am I still a part of the great community???
.... I work all night and I sleep all ....
.... I dress up in women's clothing and hang around in bars .....
I cut down trees ....
ROFLOL. What have I started? Well, not me, Helen.
Actualy, Jacula, I can keep the two screens open and just click back and forth between the two screen tabs, its pretty simple
me too ladynoire
I don't even have a printer!
Let's not go on to Life Of Brian, 'he's not the Messiah, he's a very naughty boy!', 'I was blind but now I can see! (CRASH!)' etc.
i was thinking about that earlier today, jac. the list is so helpful to me. but i really, really enjoy the chat and the clueing. I was also thinking though, when i first started at babble, i didn't know about lickety's list. my goal was always to find 1/2 the words on each grid. now with the list...fireworks are a daily goal.
any hints for the last me5?
lol jacula
ummm...did anyone clue the ne6/18?
LOL
My son saw Monty Python and the Holy Grail for the first time not long ago .... I thought he was going to hurt himself, laughing so hard

My daughter bought the bunny slippers
I love the killer rabbit.
I was about to clue ne6/18 but we demand a shrubbery has me floored for a moment or two. PMSL.
It is okay...I am open minded to be friends with the great babble community prior to the list as well...
Hi tedybeth.
ne5/18 is a type of clamworm. Google it! Failing that, take ne + an re4/4.
Actually, I was part of that community until about my fourth day doing the grid...and then it was stidmama who turned me on to the list...so blame her! LOL
Love the 'chatters' this time of evening. But keep forgetting the posting time is 1 hr. earlier than my real time! ugh
any clue for the second si5/10?
mooch, emercency vehicle sound
yes si5/10 bob

i think i know what letters are needed for the point value...just can't get them in the correct order
yay for tooknap!!! wd!!!
Thank you, Minver, Please do not.
so 6,30 = to *** seeds & pl of a particular letter...
drugs can help with the grumpiness jac.
(the 19th, to be exact)
yes, almost 50 is a great reason for everything - that & the hot flashes
50 = the coolest
viagra?
I skipped my 50th birthday, quit having them until I hit 62, and could get SS
finally got that so word!! ty all
took - are you 50?
not yet
Dispatch - here in UK us 'older folks' just get on with things rather than drug them.
good - cause 50 is OLD - i am going to be like pida & skip it too
No offence intended, btw.
but methinks peeps who are 50 know what's going on
hear hear, jacula!
Good evening (afternoon, morning?) all. Want to thank you for reminding me I am long past 50 and another one coming this week!
We do, tooknap - tha's why we are sometimes bad-tempered and impatient.
last year, i sent birthday cards to my girlfriend group from grammar school - on the cover: 50, it's no big deal - on the inside: IT'S A HUGE DEAL - & i wrote, so huge, it'll take you a year to get used to the idea, happy 49th!
Hi Hoot!
hi hootie!
Hi jac
but politeness and tolerance should come at any age. and if you are having trouble with those, you should seek help, not offer an excuse.
good morning/afternoon/evening (check all that apply) babble buds!!! think i'll finish this grid if i start now?
Hi tooknap - wish I'd done that this afternoon
I like that, hk, sounds like a good group
happy early birthday hoot!
Dispatch - what?
hoot: "owl freak from way back" is my new favorite phrase
dodo! how are you feeling??
Happy early birthday, Hoot.
evening all... got 158 left. think I can? lol
ty helen

Are you really? I don't know too many.

arrgh - i just saw a great owl victorian card - one owl was taking old time photgraph of 2 other owls
ty jac
OOH where?
hiya adhd! - oh, i anyone can, maybe you, but i don't think so lucy
naughty clues for this grid relate to the 'se' words.
tx jacula
No juicy Lucy clues, LOL.
Oh come on. The naughty ones are the ones you never heard of and never will again!
Dispatch - I still await your reply.
i meant if you want whole words or >2 letter clues
how bout the an8/9?
what's the theme for tomorrow?
hoot - sorry, i was googling 'victorian cards' but now i can't find that one
oh...sorry..let me scroll down...was in the grid...hang on...
I have to say I attend to agree with Dispatch's idea.
Ok - I'll try myself later.
an + nerve gas + e
are you asking what type of help?
hoot - when did you ever get off on hearing words like an8 & 9? em7/32 must have been more of a turn on? LOL.
A bit of rough!
or are you asking what politeness and tolerance are?
shoot can't think... what's the nerve gas
Not THAT kind of naughty jac!
serin
good clue, dlfox nerve gas= se***
se5/10
hi, all!
Dispatch - I'm asking, I think, what your porblemn with me,or rather my post(s) is?
hi liba!
*problem
hi tooknap!
hiya libs! long time, no see!
hey helen!
se5/10 is the active verb form of se4/4 - that horrible practice of sewing mouths up.
my icon is ancient--have been babbling but have been too rushed to chat...
Again I ask.... what's the theme for tomorrow?
i don't have a problem with you or your posts. just like you, i am stating my opinion. min addresses everyone with a polite, friendly greeting. you came down hard on her for that and asked her not to do it again. i'm suggesting that you return her politenss and just say hello instead of criticizing.
your other posts were offered as an excuse that you are 50 and grumpy.
pris - victorian cards
and, again, bbl; must clean up after late din din-- see y'all at the flip
ty HK
if you know that you are grumpy...wouldn't you rather be happy? i'm just suggesting that if you know you are grumpy, why not do something about it instead of offering your age as an excuse
whoa, dispatch, I think jac was being ironic...
and her friend knew it. . .
let's all take it easy, shall we?
Dispatch - if you had been here long enough you would know that Min doesn't take offence from what I said,. You would also know enough to know wher to go to find what she was on about in the first place when she chose that greeting.
a pissing contest is a pissing contest wether its vineger or sugar water
what she is on about? and did you miss the post from min saying she agreed with me???
vinegar (typo)
stepping in for a quick Hi !!! I see a few familiar faces and a few new friends...how is everyone doing??
hi circe! just waiting for the flip & watching some sparks fly
anyone need some help?
hi...uh oh...what did I walk into? Sparks...I could use sparks with 124 left! hee hee
I'd love to tell you to eff off, dispatch, but we don't do that on here, and I don't want to say that to you anyway. We all live and learn on here, I have, I still do. You are learning and you will still do.xxx
there's the "nice" pisser and the "grumpy" pisser contest
LOL dlfox!
by saying you won't say it , you just said it. but i am lol anyway. back to the grid for me to find my last few!
I had a glass of merlot and a glass of pinot noir tonight, n + ei7

Hello Dispatch...
jac...no point was missed...you are 50, grumpy, and insist that's the way it is where you come from. my point was...you don't have to live a grumpy life no matter how old you are or where you live. it seems that my "newbie-ness" and your "grumpiness" just won't mesh tonight.
Nite, min.....see ya in the chat tomorrow
Dispatch -nyou might be right. Let's begin again another day.

Sewing birds eyes. I don't look for definitions any more since I usually get either not found or "do you mean..."!

I don't think they do that any more. Use hoods now.
Yup, hoods, I hope now. Do you really believe they don't sew the eyes up any more?
Having met a few falconers and talked to them - yes.
Hoot - where have you met your falconers?
douglas...have you finished?
Besides ... now we have the ASPCA - you must have an equivalent?
Hoot - I've heard same in UK but believed few. Sadly.
A couple at SCA events and once at a museum the bf & I stopped at.
Nuts! PETA would be on their arses in a heartbeat!
Yeah, well, try Scotland and see what they say.
Well we'll have to notify PETA and watch them annoy the he** out of them!
You must have some kind of animal rights fanatics there?
Never mind, falconers (well, not them, but their bosses, still seel falcons.
That may be the problem then. Our falconers are all independant. Do what they want, not take orders.
Any last minute clues?????
look both ways before crossing :)
Hoot, I've reached the point where the US & Canada don't conern me any more.
