it was lovely, greeny. very laid back. since I couldn't get up easily, Tom and the kids made a few things for supper. no guests, no travel, no hassle.

The list that I have is different - and occasionally I find more words than there is - like what happened today. The A to Z list is another completely different list. DrGod made the rule to not change the list - everyone has to live with what is.

Our village used to do a Victorian fayre until a couple of hyears ago when the 'attractions' started charging for what is basically a charity fund raiser. So now it doesnt happen any more, such a shame.
That is a shame. This one is a tradition in Worcester, we missed it last year as we were on holiday so we booked a hotel ages ago to make sure we could go this time

I have am a around on many, many sites - Ciao, Dooyoo, Qype, this, FB, and some of the various message boards that are associated with those sites. I sympathise with Haz, I really do (have just caught up on the whole thing). I also sympathise with the 'just having a good time' crew too. I understand both positions. What drives me to distraction is the excessive use of txt spk (which, thankfully. I don't see that much here) and folk who need every word clued, and need it now. I am not the best (nor most regular) babbler here and I appreciate clues (though will often check the log first to see if it is clued) and will use other resources (jumble is one of my favourites) to help when I need it. However, I wouldn't want to become a self proclaimed moderator of Babble chat. Too much like hard work.

I'd try playing around in "appearance" (assuming you're running Windows)
back for my last 39...
but honestly, the picture is so bright everything seems clearer...I was on a 26 in monitor before, so there's a huge diff...and when I have it in TV mode I get sooo many more channels (digital)...I'm ecstatic...

these glasses have almost prefect resolution for the monitor - fortunately, as I can't afford a pair of computer glasses
...and I'm sitting about 3 ft from the monitor/tv! can we say blind!
I just got new regular glasses in August. I can go about 3 years inbetween now, but I used to have to get new every year

I've got an astigmatism in my right eye - which is the somewhat dominant one

my opthamologist told me to be wary of any who said they could fix my eyes with laser surgery...I'll still need glasses sooner or later after surgery..so why waste the money?
