phand the thing with a whippet is that they are "sight hounds" which means that they hunt by sight-for instance if they see a rabbit they will chase it and you dont have much chance to get them to come back- so you have to be careful when you let them off the lead I know people who have them and they love them -they have a very gentle nature but the hound thing can be a problem,
