never heard of Spades ru, I didn't play cards until I was mid 20s
oh yes, ruru -- it's a great game! Come here and the floseys will teach you!

hi red
hi Red
hi red and teulu!
teulu says Hi back Ata....
what a clever boy!
LOL!
I'm trying to decide which beach to take the mutt to today
I envy you Ata, I am trying to get to work on time today thats all.
I tend to have the mornings by myself, red, but then work afternoon and evening till husband gets home at 8 - 11pm ish
*nipping in for a very quick 5 mins before work* hello :))
lol red... Babbling isn't usually the way to go to be somewhere else in ti4. I know. I must leave for therapy in less than 10 minutes.
Teulu really envies you both....
hi Liz
awww we'll take him with us in spirit
hi liz!!
hi Liz, lol
Oscar's already been there doone that this morning :P
Lynxx, Ata, Sprite, Red, everyone :))
He will appreciate that, as he will be lounging on the bed most of the day, I assume. Hes had walk but hes always ready for more.
lucky oscar!
Its gorgeous here, it was too nice to stay in bed
gorgeous here too! but it was hard to get up with Silverclaw lounging on my stomach - she's so scaredy and aloof that any time she actually comes and relaxes on me, i try and let her stay for a while
ahhhhh :)
so I read for an hour :)
Os is sulking now coz it means he gets his breakfast late if we walk early
oo what you reading?
oh noes! what a trauma!
Matter by Iain M Banks. Bit of a strange departure for me cos I don't normally like pure sci-fi
I just finished Barack Obama's book last night and am onto White Tiger now :)
nearly finished Matter, then I'm going to have a trashy few days of reading Robin Cook and best friend's latest book
lol
then I'm going to drag myself back into Rossetti's biography. Which is about a million pages long
I'm off...have a lovely day all of you
Oh DoG look at the time. I have to go. Don't work for myself on a Tuesday can't be late!
bye liz! bye lyn!
Poof
bye Liz
bye lyn :)
off too, bye all
bye everyone! I got booted off and not got on again.
but I should be getting dressed in a few.
I think I've decided where to go with the dog
finally
lol
and that would be???
one place I havent explored yet round here, an almost island full of fields and pebbly beaches
coool, take camera...
I'm not sure where the footpaths are around there, so we'll go and explore
certainly will!
*toddles off to get dressed* byeeeee!
Bye.
have fun!
hello everyone :)
hi everyone G'day Mrp hi red :D
anyone there?
morning, oodle. still there?
yup
how are you fuq
this seems to be a quiet time in Babbleland. The brits have gone off for their walks and their jobs, and the yanks aren't up yet
I'm well, other than having gotten up too early
how about you?
but but but the aussies are ...
I'm getting motivated to go work out
I'm still trying to figure out what time it is for the aussies
does babble help with that? doesn't seem to work that way for me...
12-14 hours ahead of us... well east coast time anyway
so about 8 am is there bed time... some stay on because of the two hour time dif there
so maybe the aussies are watching TV at this hour, or helping kids with homework, or whatever
correct
OK, maybe I've got it now. not that I'll remember
how do you like this grid? seems to me it's a bit of a stinker, for a small one
seems a bit hard.. but all of them do for me
seems like it must have a lot of "words" in it, because there hardly seem to be any real words
on the positive side, I did just finally get two 6 letter de words
kewel wtg
you're in eastern CA somewhere, right?
quebec city
cool. I've never actually been up there, despite growing up in New Hampshire, not all that far away. I've been to PEI and Nova Scotia, and a little of New Brunswick, and driven across Ontario, but never made it to Quebec.
english signs still verboten in Quebec?
hi br!
hello, fuquay
guess oodle is buried in the grid
PEI is nice... my mother and I visited the maritime provinces at the end of spring, including NS, NB and the Magdelein Island...if it is a national park it is bilingual... but most of the time they are in french, yes I think so BR
what time of year would be a good time to see Quebec, oodle?
Aren't we all, fuq? ;)
Morning, JC!
Nice to see you've gone pro!
if you like the cold I would come when they have their Winter Carnaval about end of Jan beginning FEB, if not end of March til about Oct
G'd Morning Babblers!
hi lori
Do you have a black-fly season up there? Northern NH could be misery in late May or so.
Morning, Lori!
***snickers at the mere mention of blackfly season...***
dunno... not a fisherman
I think I scare the fish away instead of lure them in... even if I have the best lure or bait on line
my husband is a big outdoor guy, not a fisherman, but hiker and botanist, so if we visit Quebec, it will involve camping and outdoor stuff. bugs are very important to know about...
Morning, fuq - and thank you! :)
Lori, why are you snickering?
fuq, because Black-fly season is evil all across N.A. ****shh, they're listening***
In that case Lori, you can have - and keep them! :P
N.A.?
N.A. = North America
22 left after the first sweep. Now the poopy part I s'pose.
actually, only far northern NA, Lori. south of the northernmost states in the US, they've never heard of black flies
why is it evil lori.... are the like horse flies damn they hurt because they bite
Aha! You can extend that ac 5. Found the 8
Yes, Lori! ;)
black flies are evil because they swarm all around your face, get in your eyes, get up your nose, in your ears, down your neck, etc. Drive you completely batty. Also some people are allergic to their bites
That's interesting fuq. Oodle, they're just a nuisance as far as I'm concerned.
ok ty, was just wondering... I will not be going fishing, then, anytime soon eh
For many, just seeing them en masse is daunting. Nuisance
can't find that 8, Lori. are you talking about the *****g out a part word?
Yup! Add an oceanic last 3 letters......
ah, got it! ty!
Yea fuq! Nicely done.
now why can't I get those clues... I feel so ficking dumb
Well, I never! mewn is too a word. Past tense of meow... :D
o m g... I got it
makes sense to me, Lori
Oodle, for my pasrt, last 3 letters of a 4 letter word. The moon and this and the ocean
yay, oodle!!!
finity
Yea oodle, you got the 8?
yes ma'am
Good for you.
but I am stuggling with the other e word in the corner...I got em4 but can't git the other
Still missing a 7, I have the en. Anyone know the first 2 letters only of the other 7?
another em4, oodle
em 4/6 oodle
sorry, have no 7's yet
No prob, just thought I'd give it a go.
lori.....there isn't an en7
wait, en7? I don't even see an en?
oops, ed 7
ok ty
No, there are no 'en' words?
Everybody relax! That's what happens when you don't scroll up the word list! It's an ed 7
morning, movie man!
tis a wierd word, tis
hiya fuquay and everyone else
Breathee, and breathe, and Zen, and focus.....and..... SORRY! :D
ed7 clue lori?
G'd morning MM. :p
hi mm
ed + a vowel + bigger than a Town
And you had the au****** to say it was an 'en' word, when there's none? ;) Use that ending on the 'e' . . .
ty lori
lol, jc, thanks
<---- Blond
You're welcome, fuq! :)
ty kindly JC
Yes, Lori - sometimes I'm blonde, and use it as a handy excuse . . . even though it doesn't wash with some people! :P
ok 91 mor words to go WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOPIEEEEEEEEEEEEE EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
You're very welcome, oodleberry! ;)
Wow - you've only just started, oodleberry? You were here before me!
I have 39 more to go . . .
yes sir... I is slow
my brain is cebrilating it's independance in the Carribean
back for the rest, morning all
Hah, finished the i.
Now look what you've done to the chat box, oodleberry - typing all those characters together, so it widens everything and it doesn't fit in the box anymore - necessitating a sideways scroll to see it all! :P Don't be doing that again . . . or . . . I'll . . . hmmm, I'll think of something! :P
G'd morning sprite
Just popped in to wish happy St. Paddys day to all. Finished the grid about four hours ago so feeling at a loose end!
oops
Hello, Frances - top o' the morning to ye! ;)
morning, frances. that's the trouble with small grids...
HAPPY ST. PADDY'S DAY!
G'd morning Frances
Hi J.C. You too.
hi Frances, chat is acting up. Happy St. Paddy's day to you too!
Don't yell. Very rude. Found the other 7. ***smug***
clue, lori, plz?
Spritey are you well?
omg I fergot i was st paddy's day ... and alas I have no green to wear
Acting up, sprite? No, not chat - just oodleberry! (Swats him for widening the chat box!) :P
first two letters, Lori?
ni fuq
Yell, Lori? Rude?
As you can see the only green I have to wear is a hat!
ruru asked that some one hello to you for him, sprite. so, hhey for him and hey for me
Frances: been better, actually. But the sun is shining and the temperature is going up, so things are getting better ;)

Oh that one.....oops. Sorry.
quite clever, sprite
I must be blind, or something - the 2nd 'fi' word completely eludes me - for all the monkeying in the world! :(
just steer clear of salem, mass
And it only has four letters . . .
Oh DUH - never mind, got it! :P
J.C. opp to soft

ac 8 -- part of a play; no room at the **n and VP joe B***n
Very good J.C.
Oh - while I was typing that, I see catep jumped in on that one . . .

Raindrops smell wet Biscuits smell dry I'm schizophrenic And so am i

I've heard the last two lines of that before, but never the first two, movieman . . .
roflol!
LOL
Yes, BabbleRabble - that's an old one, but still a good one! ;)
oldie but goodie br
As they say - the old ones are the best.......usually.
To me it was new :) But I do know the failproof way to cure a schizophrenic for once and for all.
Oh really now, sprite? What's that then???
Spill spritey.

ok back... :))
Welcome back, mrpresident ma'am . . .
hi mrP
Well done catep.
Hi mrp.
Gah, 6 left. Some of those b's were annoy-itating.
By the way, I e-mailed that hubby of yours, to request that 'Babble Expert' programme . . . haven't heard anything yet? I expect he'll get to it . . .
hello JC, sprite, frances et al :))
will check with that hubby of mine.
You must get it J.C. Makes babble life better.
HAHAHA, thank you! :)
How is the lurgy mrp? All gone yet?
So I've heard, Frances . . .
I love that avatar, mrp - funny picture!
Of course that's how I picture you now . . .
We all love limecat.
Just the 1 du word?
Limey cat? That's his crash helmet . . .
Yes Lori
another great profile text, BabbleRabble. Exactly the things I discussed today with my new therapist. Thank you.
I concur - it's excellent, BabbleRabble!
hope your sessions go well
so far they did. Started in January and have the feeling I picked the right person to work with for now.
Good, sprite - that's important!
Coming on in leaps and bounds then sprite. Keep at it. You will win.
one of my therapists said we were simpatico .. I kept on saying I did not think it all that simple
not simple at all indeed.
Gee, sorry to repeat a grid related question, but....just the 1 du?
Yes Lori
but this lady knows her stuff, is highly professional, also very human, has a sense of humour and a good dose of empathy, and she is aware of the fact that we are both experts, working together.
Mercy Buckets Frances. Doh, missed a really obvious word. 1 more d. ***sigh***
wasn't ignoring a question, just didn't know yet, Lori. I am halfway.
I missed a pitifully obvious word earlier, Lori - so don't feel bad. Actually, I do that often . . .
You would think that after trying 'deity' umpteen times I'd stop. But...no.
missing the obvious is what illusionists earn their bread with.
Hmmm . . . why is 'init' not a four-letter word? :P
because it is spelled innit??
The other Brits here will get that! ;)
Same reason aint isn't - init?
HAHAHA - yes, that's it! ;)
I'm monkeying the 'in' words - so far, unsuccessfully. *Sigh!*
Whoa. Monkeys to the rescue. Dumb non word, word. 5 di's
Five of them J.C.
Even monkeys aren't helping me with these - I'll let Val on here, she might do better. It's difficult to type with paws, though . . .
3 4's, a 5 and a 6 for in's
So let Glo have a go.
Gloria walks across the keyboard and types to friends on messengers sometimes - but they never understand her.
They always know it's her though - and type 'miaow!' back . . .
Wonder why.
is Gloria the one with cattitude?
Yes, sprite . . .
Lickety said he will get to it tonight :)
DUH!!! Just found one of those words that was too obvious for me to see! :P
Awww, thank you mrp! :)
.....and babble expert.
'....and babble expert'?
... and babble expert! LOL
we'll have a puppy in a few weeks, though not from a shelter, JC :)
Lickety will get to IT tonight.
Point total please?
Erm, yes . . .
1064 Lori
521 so far =P
Oh, sprite - where from?
A rescue group?
Mercy Buckets Frances
from a local breeder
Hmmm . . .
My pleasure Lori.
well, see it this way: this one will never become a rescue dog!
Yes - now THAT one was too obvious, as well. I should quit for now, while I'm not ahead . . .
Ahh, point total certainly gave that. Thanks again Frances
getting dogs from breeders is so much better!
we would have opted for a rescue dog if I had not been handicapped. Can't have a dog too heavy for me too handle, for instance.
sprite, you have made the right choice :)
*to handle, not too* Yes mrP, we think so too. Very much in love with him already.
breeder dogs are just wondeful!! you know what temperament you are getting, you know the history of the dog... it is very nice to have that in a pet
While wonderful dogs in desperate need of homes, who would otherwise be destroyed, get put down for a lack of homes, mrp? My current and last dogs were both rescues from a shelter - and I couldn't have asked for better dogs. The cost of a purebred puppy would save the lives of a few shelter dogs - and I love dogs too much to support breeding, when there is such a great need. Dogs die because people breed, when there's already such an overpopulation problem. :( I love all dogs, and do appreciate the various breeds, but can't stand knowing wonderful dogs like mine die because people have to have a 'purebred' dog from a breeder . . . if only everyone would be responsible, this wouldn't be a problem - but sadly, that isn't the case.
how strange, I am logged in in4 flickr and the name is in my profile, and still I don't see the pics anymore.
if only 'breeders' would be responsible, we wouldn't have sheltered dogs
***Ponders making steak and egges for breakfast***
Well I knew that before I adopted my last dog and my current one, mrp - because the shelters don't just let you walk off with any dog right away, these days. At least not Battersea - you spend time with the dog first, to see how you get on, after being interviewed to help ensure a good 'match'.
Then, they also do home visits, to make sure they feel the dog is going to the right home - it's quite good.
lori! go for it!! sounds wonderful!!
I agree partly, J.C. We have considered a rescue very seriously.
What else to do today. Baked bread yesterday and shortbread this morning. I am now sewing a quilt but I need something else to do or I'll go mad.
Well sprite, I couldn't have asked for better dogs than my last and current one - although I know all adoptions from shelters aren't so successful. The interview process helps greatly - as does being able to spend time getting to know the dog first, before bringing him or her home with you . . .
Make a nice pork roast Frances?
frances! you are an amazing homekeeper!
LOL Lori.
Wow, you've been productive, Frances . . .
If 'yer making a pork roast (apple sauce optional) I'll book a flight now. :)
yes I have heard and seen some successfull matches, but also some bad ones.
Something else to do? Hmmm . . . come do some cleaning here, then! ;)
Could only fine a green hat today. All the green clothes made me look like a water melon or a cooking apple. So I decided to go without.
you can bake me some shortbread, Frances, if you like? :)
Yes, sprite - but I think most of them are fine. Most I've heard of seem to go well - including my own.
I don't agree with petshop dogs. Very bad news... and they are the ones that end up in the pound
I made almond shortbread sprite.
Well mrp's cat is all ready for St. Paddy's Day, with his lime green 'hat'! ;)
ooooh, shortbread! where is andree?? she makes the best shortbread
petshops are terrible.
sounds delicious, Frances!
I use her recipe mrp.
No, I fully agree with you there, mrp - and would never ever consider that! I boycott pet shops that sell dogs, as a matter of fact . . . they all come from puppy mills and 'backyard breeders'. :(
on ya frances! :))
.....and I agree, it is the best.
Hmm, shortbread. That'll taste great after a nice dinner of overpriced veal! ***hungry***
exactly, JC. Most petshops here don't sell dogs.
Here either, sprite . . .
I cannot bring myself to eat veal.
Good day to all Babble leprechauns! Happy St Patrick's Day!
lucky clovers to you, Scrabs!
I couldn't bring myself to eat any meat, anymore . . .
hi scrabbler, mrp, sprite, jc
I am a vegetarian too, JC.
we have three petshops in a perimeter of 500 metres... I go and see the dogs and cats everyday... cause I feel so so sorry for them. It makes me sick that they advertise the dogs on a 7 day cooling off period.'
Hi Scrabs. Happt St. Paddys to you too. As you can see, I've come undressed for the occassion.
Good for you, Scrabbler!
hi scrabs :)
Undressed???
hi ping :))
Ooh - we have naked people present! Cover your eyes!
you look gorgeous in that hat, Frances
hi Ping
Naked piggy!
G'd morning Scrabbler! G'd morning ping
ok JC but can I peek?
Hi Ping--nice to see you here.
Scarbbler's here, so crossy will show up craving bunnies any minute now....
HAHAHA, sprite - well, I have a naked pic of myself in one of my blogs in my Yahoo 360 page . . .
ty everyone
(Watches everyone make a mad dash over there).
*Scrabbler even
hi sprite
good :) Nakedness rocks!
hi lori
***not everyone***
And crossy will be reminded once again that bunnies are sweet, smart, adorable pets.
It was all for a very good cause . . . PETA protest.
and what is PETA?
People Eating Tasty Animals!
when crossy aims for the bunnies, he becomes a sitting duck...
'People (for the) Ethical Treatment (of) Animals.'
Lori, you are naughty!
No, Lori - that, it is not.
Yes, true, Sprite.
Hush your mouth Lori.
It's people with true, unselective compassion for animals . . .
well treated animals do taste better, so it could be both :)
Lori has broad shoulders. Meat Eaters Unite!
Thank you, Frances.
I find it interesting that certain models supported PETA and then eventually started to wear fur.
unselective? Like say a flea is loved as much as a dog?
That disgusted me, Frances . . .
It seems they did it only for the 'publicity' it brought them at the time.
that is very hypocritical, Frances
Exactly J.C.
No, sprite - saying that compassion extends to more than just your own personal pets.
There is a bunny at my feet now--little Miss B.
This is not an easy grid, is it?
ah I see, JC. Just like with children's wellfare.
After that lettuce between your toes Scrabs?
how's Miss B. doing?
lol Frances ***envisions Scrabbler with lettuce slippers***
Frances - send an e-mail to the address in my profile, if you'd like to se the campaign blog and pics?
She is the boss of the downstairs' quarters.
PETA is very controversial
Miss B rules!
Would love to J.C.
Lettuce between the toes? I thought it was jam - 'toe jam'? :P
I heard it was cheese. Toe cheese,.
LOL J.C.
*losing appetite for breakfast*
never ever take lettuce for breakfast, Scrabs. Too demanding on the stomach.
If you wore steak slippers, they'd levae you alone Scrabbler
Well, mrp - I'll tell you, PETA have run some campaign adverts that have disgusted me, because they were very insensitive toward certain people - but over all, they do a lot of good and do present very valid, scientifically factual information. I am a supporting member, because I care to try and make a difference, for animals . . .
I love when my bunnies cuddle up next to me.
Ewww, sprite!!! :P
I would akin PETA to a terrorist organisation... wish they would go back to educating people rather than trying to kill people for their belief. INHO
E-mail sent J.C.
But I diverse... grid is back online!!! not many to go now!
I found a 6 all by myself.
OK, Frances . . .
Chat is very slow today.
A quick good morning to all. Hi and bye :o)
Hi Nonnie
Clues are slow today!! LOL
hi nonnie!! :))
Hey nonnie no.
I will type/talk faster, Frances.
hi Nonnie
Hi and bye Nonnie!
LOL scrabs!!
Frances, do you mean the overall intelligence level, or the speed with which posts are appearing. :D
If only Scrabs. LOL.
I agree, mrp - some of their tactics leave much to be desired, and I have written them about that - telling them they're only cutting their noses off to spite their faces. I wish someone there would see sense, in that regard . . .
Well, I am not fully conscience yet, so my brain is only in first gear, Lori.
does the flickr in my profile work for you?
oh scrabs! I have been in third gear for a while now... but am redlining my brain!
PETA has become a dysfunctional sum of its parts. Your best bet, is to take care of your piece of the planet, annd do what you can in your community.
Your brain has gears. Can I have some......please?
lol, I wanna' see 'yer gears too!
Think I'm in reverse.
Gears, pistons, wires--a big mess sometimes. '
.....and going downhill.
LOL Frances!! At least I am going forward!!
No, Lori . . . it actually does a lot of good. Unfortunately not enough though, because there are people who simply don't care enough about animals. That, and PETA needs to rethink a lot of its tactics.
please, can somebody check if my flickr pics are visible in my profile?
Oh am watching ladette to lady! is so special this episode!! 3 girls remain
OK, sprite . . . checking!
Will do sprite
no they are not sprite
No sprite, sorry - not yet.
No sprite
If you need your user name for Flickr, it's that numerical one, not the one you may have chosen . . .
darn. Thanks for checking, no idea why they aren't showing. Name in profile is correct, am logged in. Weird.
See my last post, sprite - that may be why?
numerical? Have they changed it? So far it was visible with just the name.
oh man!! my facemask is squeezing me!!
I wish that George CLooney were squeezing me.
No, sprite - let me explain. Before you choose your own URL for your Flickr page, you have a numerical name in the address - remember that?
PETA has presented absolutely appalling campaigns, and it's funding of the ALF should put off any well intended mind.
ok where can I find the numerical one? Do you know by any chance?
Face mask? Deep sea diving - going into space?
lol Scrabs!
HAHAHA, mrp . . . you mean the lime on kitty's head?
Yes, sprite . . .
***wonders if Scrabbler has to deal with the big head in the sky today***
Right-click on any of your photos, and select to view it on its own, in a new window . . . copy the user name you then see in the URL of the image.
thanks JC, will take a look
With 6 eyes absolutely focused on the back of my ehad, wanting the puter (March Break here) I shall scatter. Have a great day all!
Yes, Lori! Argh. Once again he has made a mother happy by giving her an antibiotic prescription for her kid after I saw no indication. Now there is a note on the kid's chart to never schedule future appts with me.
Bye Lori
The user ID you want, sprite, will be something like this: 35423646@N08 (That's mine.)
Thanks J.C. received.
So I am the bad guy, huh? I remind myself to do what is right for kids not fulfill parental requests.
You're welcome, Frances . . .
I can see a number but no @ in it
***pops back in*** That's why you're a good Dr Scrabbler. No BS hand holding, and prescribing unwarranted meds. ***Have a good day in spite of him!***
That must be frustrating, Scrabbler . . .
that is very unfair, Srabs :(
I try, but it does make me upset.
Yes, I'm sure it does - it would me. :(
entered the number but flickr name is not valid, it says now
Scrab - you MUST get outta there
TY for support--I get so upset when I try to educate and explain, then a partner caves in and makes the parent happy.
it would make me upset too, Scrabs. You are too darn good to be treated like that.
I know, kje, and I am waiting for the day when I say good-bye to him.
'Rabbitat' - I like that, Scrabbler! ;)
But so many parents do appreciate my conservative approach, I remind myself.
Do you have a little sign on the front of your house, with the name on it?
I have never heard of a partner doing so, it is overstepping boundaries. The patient can leave you and find another doc, but it is not appropriate that your partners interfere in your decisions that way
I'm living in it, JC!
HAHAHA, yes - so I see!
I want to make one, JC.
You should, Scrabbler - houses here often have names, which are on the wall of the house near the entranceway, or else on the wall surrounding the property, near the gates.
Mine has a name, rather than a number.
But in a group, kje, there are such differences in philosophies. I respect the dangers of antibiotics, my partners do not.
JC, I have seen them in Cape Cod--quarterboards I think they are called?
Yes - antibiotics are wonderful in some instances, when used correctly. They shouldn't be overused or used unnecessarily, though!
Just name plaques I think, Scrabbler - didn't know there was a term for them?
antibiotics are a miracle cure for bad situations. They should be treated like that and not handed out for every infection.
Precisely, sprite . . .
but do you guys not have your own personal patient panels? or do you share all patients? if the patient is your patient, they are violating professional ethics to step in and interfere
Too many MDs are wimps and just please the patient instead of doing what is right.
We share patients as we are a group. Parents can choose who to see, and those that demand antibiotics find out to not see me.
Oh good, sprite - I see you found your Flickr user ID all right, then! :) Your photos show up in your profile now.
that is a strange set up scrab
get the he** out
Well, today's highlight, as it is every Tuesday, is to spend the afternoon and evening with my late friend Mary's kids. It is a spring day so we will play outside.
our doctor isn't overly fond of antibiotics, unless they are really needed. When my daughter had a bad bladder infection, she got antibiotics. After finding out which bug was responsible. But no antibiotics for 'normal' illnesses. If it will pass without, she does not prescribe them. And I am glad she doesn't.
kje--peds groups are like that everywhere.
Hmmm . . . parents who apparently think they know better than a doctor. :(
do they, JC? Wow, I still cannot see them in my profile.
Europeans do not abuse antibiotics as Americans do.
No, sprite? That's odd, because I can - an adorable little Cocker Spaniel puppy!
I want to take Mary's kids to a playground today.
ah, there they are. Miracle of miracles. I just reentered the lettered name and now it takes.
not true, scrab... we have a babbler as case in point - seems to get a lot of abx from her doc
Oh, friends, I must get ready for work. I will miss you.
it varies by doc and demanding patient, just like here
Ah, yes, kje. I know what you refer to.
have a good day at work, SCrabs, without irresponsible parents and partners. *hugs*
Happy St Patrick's Day to all!
hi kje
be well, Scrabbler
but, they do NOT have direct to consumer advertising there which probably decreases the demanding patient - LOL
Ping!
and hi kje, missed your coming in
have a good one, scrabbler
I enjoyed your poem, Ping!
Yes, sorry - hello, kje!
hi sprite
hi JC
J.C. having a problem. Says - Sorry, this invitation has already been acted on. You've tried to accept an invitation that you've already accepted or declined.
hang in there scrab... until you can get the he** out!
thanks for reading it, kje
Bye Scrabs don't work too hard.
There's no problem, Frances - that's becauase you are already connected with me, you have accepted it .
I just checked - you're in my list there now.
I am?
Now you can log in there and post a photo on your page and fill in the various sections . . . ;)
any clues for the 8 letter word?
Yes my dear, you are! ;)
If you can view all the content of my page, including my blogs, then you know youare connected to me - otherwise you wouldn't have vieiwing access.
JC, Terra is a king charles cavalier spaniel. And thanks!
phantom - divinity
still looking for it myself, smcarrier
Oh sorry, sprite - didn't know from that photo!
Hard to tell when they're little babies like that . . .
Ah there you are.
naturally, kje
sm - it isn't divinity - LOL
lol
There who is, Frances?
Getting tea - back in a tick.
LOL Ping! - after I reread that it does seem somewhat philosophical !
gotta run - road trip today
ac 8
must wake up the masses
be safe Ping!
thanks, k
have a good day, Ping
You J.C. I see that the bear is covering the bare necessities!
BR - can you give a clue?
for the ac8 I mean
most of what thespians do and blondie: the t*** is high
ac8/50 perform + the **coming t*** could make you wet.
TY BR and Fran
You're welcome.
thanks BabbleRabble and Frances
You too sprite.
that is a loopy one!
oh crap - I thought it was emnity... apparently it is enmity - I have been spelling it wrong (and in addition, that means it isn't in the grid - damn)
kje, I tried that at least 10 times and then looked it up in the dictionary, lol!
would have been a great word tho!
hi Dorens
gm dorens
I tried that too kje.
these puny little fellows get done so quickly ..
well sprite - at least I only tried it twice before looking it up - LOLOL
Hello, Dorens
I was being arrogant and thinking I knew the word was correct, lol
well, for YOU BR : )
hi sprite, kj, babrab and frances, but as usual at this time of the morning, i am not really here (need to leave in 9 minutes and my hair is still wet from the shower
it's amazing how good you look though, Dorens!
giggling to the bathroom to dry my hair.... see you later
have a good day, Dorens
more help w/the 8 pls
part of a play + not out + part of Self + vowel
ac8/50 perform + opp to out + the ebb t***
OMG - they had to evacuate a house here last night b/c the tenants poured drain cleaner and bleach into the toilet... toxic fumes.... I fear it is another case of interfering with darwin
ty frances
how incredibly stupid, kje. You should send this to the site of the darwin awards
great word
what is that sprite?
thanks for tht ac 8 word, diving back in
Forgot about the Darwin awards.
http://www.darwinawards.com/ A site for acts of people who shouldn't be in the genepool
hi and bye Inge
will check it out
those bottles say "do not use in the toilet"...
(drain cleaners do at least)
it will make you laugh, kje, I think :)
either laugh or shoot myself sprite - LOL
I cant say anything, my 12yr old son wanted the little ball inside of the FULL can of black spray paint, so he got the great idea of splitting it open with a shovel....thank God he closed his eyes when he got a full black face put on.
but sue... he is 12!!!! you are allowed as a kid
roflol sue! Oh dear, what a mess...
but I hope you took pics to bribe him with later in life - LOL
a couple of cleaning guys at the apt complex put 3 cans of bug spray into a refrigerator that had fruit flies.
blew the door off the frig and the door off the apt.
OMG sue!
I did and sent them to family members
no wonder they have all these warning lables on things
and they ought to be professional cleaners! Hellllp!
now that is a darwin award
it is scary as to what they have to say on these things, because you know that someone tried it first
not quite, but it definitely is a Near Miss, kje :)
Think J.C. has gone to India or China for his tea!
let me gues.. they are suing the bug spray company b/c the warning didn't say, do not use 3 cans in a fridge?
the man has good taste, Frances :)
that is really awful, kje, and often the sad truth
finito is not accepted either
I am bombing out on this grid!
I need food
so do I but I cannot fi4 anything to eat :(
I am going to have scrambled eggs with salmon, red onion, capers and cream cheese - had it yesterday and it was scrumptious
please warn next ti4 before telling me something like that. So I can get a towel ready and not drool on my keyboard.
LOL sprite
sorry
bbiab
enjoy, kje! :)
Back with tea - and hopefully, to finish this grid!
it is not fair that you can sue for stupidity
wb JC
why cant people just accept that they messed up
HAHAHA, Frances - I saw that. No, I was out in the kitchen, boiling the kettle and making the tea. ;)
Thanks, sprite!
it should be a basic rule: people are expected to use their good sense at all times!
Hmmm . . . good in theory, sprite. The trouble is, not everyone has much or any good sense to use!
I stink when it comes to vowel words
time for more coffee I guess
there are all sorts of rules and laws ... people make mistakes, no rule or law will ever change that
Too true, BabbleRabble . . .
or as my husband would say about some of his clients: they have the common sense of a green pea
I'm tucking into a huge bowl of black and green grapes. They are yummy.
true spirit, but why should I have to pay for them in my insurance?
I love grapes. Enjoy, Frances!
I love grapes
mendel was rather fond of peas
I am with you, sue
I like raw peas
Mmmm, grapes . . . care to share them? ;)
I love peas - grow them here.
Yes - they're best that way.
When I take my granddaughter to Waitrose and we buy grapes as soon as I've paid for them she runs to the seat with them and starts scoffing them!
Did you see my reply to what you said, Frances?
OO peas straight from the pod - delicious.
Plenty to share J.C.
And, the question is - have you seen my nude campaign placard in my 360 blog yet? HAHAHA . . .
stawberries are coming into season next month
we go and pick them ourselves
and eat our way through it
will grow some this year, intend to make a small veggie garden
lol must confess I didn't go look it up, JC
Hmmm . . . I would take them home and wash them before eating, Frances! You never know what's been on them.
Yes J.C. Did you not see my post about the bear covering the bare necessities?
You couldn't, sprite - it's in my 360 page and not on view to non-contacts.
Oh, no - hadn't looked, sorry! I will now though! ;)
good thing I didn't try then :)
J.C. it was in the chat log here.
That's the 'bear necessities', Frances - considering what my - ahem - 'crown jewels' were covered by! :P
Oh, OK . . . I was in the kitchen for a little while.
Exactly J.C. LOL.
darn, massive head ache coming up. Will make something to eat, back soon
Would you like in invitation, sprite?
That can be arranged - and sent. ;)
Dark room sprite?
not sure... it wouldn't do to be invited just to see you in the nude, lol... and am not so sure about agressive animal rights organisation.
Oh dear - hope you can avoid it, sprite! :( You have mail, by the way . . .
thanks JC, back in a few minutes
Erm - there is nothing 'agressive' in my blog, sprite. And the picture is very tasteful - in fact, I'm so heavily airbrushed in the photo, it looks like a painting! :P Why they did that to me, I have no idea!
It does J.C. I thought that too.
Yes, it's silly . . . I didn't see the need for airbrushing, I'm not *that* bad! :P
Good morning, folks!
Grrr . . . the first 'in (5,12)' word is eluding me.
Afternoon, Takuma!
Hello, Takuma
ALL the in's are eluding me.
in 5 -- add, what one pile of snow said to another: get my ***ft?
J.C. in5/12 in + you can sometimes find ***ftwood on the beach.
Thank you, Frances - although before seeing your clue, I finally monkeyed it! ;)
ty
I do appreciate your help all the same, though!
You're welcome J.C.
Did you see the blogs about my pets, Frances?
I did J.C.
There's a video clip linked to in one of them . . .
Sorry - thank you to you too, BabbleRabble!
That Welsh woman connected with me there, Frances - her name is '
Oops . . .
Her name is 'Doolie' (Julie) . . . she posts backgrounds of gorgoues, semi-naked men - and has us all drooling! HAHAHA - she's a nutter, great fun.
Erm - 'gorgeous'. Excuse my typing!
good morning Babblers :)
Good afternoon, Nanette!
JC you mentioned you have pets, may i ask what they are?
Dog and cat, Nanette . . .
back and connected, JC. Love the Bear with me pic :)
hi Nanette, hi Takuma!
Wel, and a small brood of chickens!
HAHAHA, thank you sprite!
Erm - 'well' - I can't type.
chickens with names
Could be why I'm having trouble with the grid, HAHA!
any specific breed or just good ole house pet type dog and cat?
Yes, sprite - they each have names . . .
J.C. the video clip is great and Fanny was wonderful. I remember seeing that first time round.
Erm, Frances - shhhh, please!
She certainly was - miss her terribly, and always will.
Well hush my mouth!
Awww, sorry! :( Just names, you know . . .
*flops*
No specific breeds Nanette, no - both rescues from the Battersea Dogs' & Cats' Home.
Hi Ata. All floppy today then.
hello Ata, I take it you just came in from a walk with Hobbit?
yep!
*flips*
You're a bit late for the flip kje!!!
LOL fran
O.O it was amazing. very strange. we went to a slat marsh / beachy area I've never been to before, and the beach there is nearly all old bottles and porcelain mashed up with the pebbles and stuff. I guess the beach needed shoring up?
lol Frances
cool JC. I have a cat that was dumped near us about 12 years ago and she has been such a love.
*salt marsh!
hello :)
leftovers of a hefty under water party
hi TS
hi tragic stud
I picked a few of the bottles up that had escaped mashing. They are so beautiful, must be 1940s, 1950s?
These Greeks with their smashing of crocks get everywhere.
I wanna be Greek. Saves me doing lots of washing up.
Can you make a mosaic out of them Ata?
one of them was an old bovril bottle. and some were from Boots the Chemist glass bottles!
know boots, what is bovril?
Wouldn't save on the wallet though sprite.
no that what is keeping me from changing colours, Fran :)
b int
I apologise for giving you too much space
Waiting for your colours to come back in vogue sprite?
any bh?
bovril is beef extract
Who you calling a b int?
lol Frances!
no, but would that be pronouncable?
are there any bh words in life?
hello, eliot
in dutch, a BH is short for bustehouder, a bra
:) hi BR
Hi tragic.
Sprite an over the shoulder boulder holder.
i'm considering a cross-country drive over spring break
i'm doubtful it will happen
but it's a nice thing to think about today
hahahahaha! Love it, Frances, will remember!
it would be bad driving with broken springs, tragicstud
true. i should keep that in mind as well
bhakta bhan bhang
: ) br
I think I need to look that up, lol
J.C. that is so sweet about the box on the stairs.
there are certain morning rituals that it's totally unfortunate if you don't get to complete at home
bu 5 is a buzzard
is jc here?
hi jc
I suck at 5 letter words today
box on the stairs?
BabRab thought it was a short name for a table football game. LOL.
Hi everyone. Just dipped in for 5 mins. Hows the grid - or is the chat better?
hi spanner! Grid is very good, chat is even better
Ill read the chat then, my brain is pap today
r
Tragic he's around somewhere. Probably making another cuppa.
lower corner E?
Oh sorry - was sending e-mail actually. Hi, TS!
And spanner!
seriously though, i need a vaca something awful
I believe that is the ed7, kje
what's this about boxes on stairs and cuteness, JC? :)
Awww - hope you can take one, TS!
ty sprite
Hi JC
and if so, it ends in a place that is bigger than a village
ty sprite
TY sprite
bigger than a town too :)
only passing on the goods, they were clued to me too :)
not just yet jc - but spring break is coming up... i must make something happen for it. i'm climbing the walls
so a town is smaller than this one?
Thanks sprite
i miss school...working is SO overrated
yes, it would go hamlet, village, town, what we're talking about now
the bad thing about work is that it takes up too much of your free time
thanks Atalante, that gives me a totally new word too. The first one. Only know it as a name in shakespeare
yes. well, right...there's no free time...and i keep having bosses that are mind-blowingly crazy :)
i shold write a book
hamlet: the story of a young pig
in your free time? tragic
though, i also just hate authority
I *think* villages have churches and hamlets don't. then towns have a town hall. and the bigger things have cathedrals. In the UK anyway
go for it, stud. Seriously. If you can write a good one, and get it published and sold, you won't have to work there anymore :)
i've never heard of a hamlet
hey hursh!
smurshy!!!!!!!11
it's only cities that have Cathedrals..
afternoon all :)
hi i'm in bed with food poisoning :(
yep kallia, but we were trying to avoid using that word :p
:(
poor hursh
Poor Hurshy! GWS
if it is too small for a church, it may not even have a pub. Bad places.
hursh try some ginger root
a hamlet is a small settlement...smaller than a village
not a lot of press for young pigs
it helps a lot
awwww is smarty marty there too?
stops the nausea
lol Kallia, indeed. But since that word is in the grid...
oops sorry !
marty is here yes
awwwwww he's a good cat!
what if you live in a town and in it is raised a budding architect who wants to build a cathedral
haven't even looked at the grid
would the building of the cathedral change the type of place?
yeah he's been pretty worried about me all night
no can do...would have to be a big church
do you have Norit where you live, hursh? Very good with food poisoning. Just try and eat heaps of them.
if the cathedral is built, then the town would become a ci4. but only if it was a Church of England cathedral
nope
really?
i don't know what norit is
they would have to move to a thing bigger than a town
this is what i mean...authority is so arbitrary and ridiculous
the english are very precise
no that status is decided by the monarch...or maybe Houses of Parliament these days
fascinating
active carbonate, I think it is called, hursh.
why is this important enough to warrent a rule?
does it change the governing?
different taxes etc, and different levels of government
i feel like someone has put an iron band around my stomach
it's Historic, and I can't remember what the rulling is
there would no doubt be more rules and laws for it then, stud
poor budding architect kid...
Cathedrals have Arch Bishops
we have the Biggest and Best Arch Bishop :)
nope sorry Bishops
food poisoning is ugly. I have been through it only once and I don't want to do it again. I really feel for you, hursh. Norit or something like it can clear it up faster.
they can't have bishops with flat feet?
Arch Bishop is the head
LOLOL
only 2 arch bishops, I think? York and Canterbury?
not if they want to become the arch
so why am I now thinking of Archie Bunker?
yep that's right Ata...
so really...all of the cathedrals that will ever be already exist?
tragic, write your book about the poor budding architect kid and his battle to build his cathedral in a village!! ;)
no, tragic, new ones can be consecrated
i know! right?!
I would think so yes
hello all

grading lab reports is dismal

Our spring break isn't until April. No news, unfortunately. Just anxiety.
I love just about every aspect of teaching...but grading lab reports
there was one practical class I always got to mark - invertebrate palaeontology. There's only so many bad drawings of a blob of fossil coral you can take before crying
hah!
we all used to dread that practical!
These are dismal. some are just so awful I just put them down and walk away for awhile.
it's when you start wondering if you were talking in Swahili when giving out the instructions ...

Sheesh .. Take a break .. You're making me tired ..

if it doesnt all get done today, itll never get done -- the BF (god love him) isnt a lean, mean cleaning machine + i prefer not to spend my whole weekend cleaning!
lol
how interesting that bi5 and tu4 are so VERY closely arranged in the grid! LOL
Hello friends! bon jour Une!

Good Morning/Afternoon/Evening all

are you a vegetarian, stid?
ed7
thanks atalante *thinking*
no fish...ed6
not fishy at all!
oops...ed7
it ends with a metropolis
not completely Aloyisius -- one of the stidkids, despite best efforts, just is healthier with chicken and fish in the diet.
got it right away! thanks!
two of my three kids are vegetarians, their spouses too
and I admit that I like eggs in things.
but I know that I am healthier and feel better overall when I am vegan.
they eat eggs and cheese tho..
I have considered being ovo-vegetarian when they young-un's fly away in a few years.
there. halfway!!!!
going to lie down again for a bit and let the migraine rest. Tom took the stidkid to school so I could rest for a bit longer.
ooh, ouch.. hope you feel better soon, stid.. take care..
(((hugs everyone and leaves gold-covered choclit)))
*temporary poof*
bye Stid
** FIREWORKS **
yay, congrats to Nono!!!!
yay Nono!
ok Happy St. Patty's day and Happy Babbling everyone
hagd, Nono!
you also nono
Herm. Managed to load chat, but not grid. Try again or give in and go another day without babble?
uniiiiiiiiii!
try again ! ... sending good luck vibes..
Half a Uni, really.
the quity part or the uni part?
My internet was being nice, I thought maybe that babble would load. This is the site I have most difficulty with, must be because of the constant interaction. Not the quity part yet! **Trying again**
crossing fingers for Uni...
2nd load of laundry in, kitchen counters cleaned, getting ready to scrub the bathroom + polish the bedroom furniture... but i think im gonna sit down for a moment first. :)
whew, you deserve to, Eva!
i should probably think about eating something today...
gee wears me out just reading that
me too!
heh, i think im an addict. not to cleaning really, but when i make a list, i get a little jolt from being able to cross things off the list. :)
fireworks, Happy St. Patty's Day, see you next grid.. byee
(Eva has inspired me.. (-: )
wow, for once im a positive role model?
oh yes!
usually im the bad influence. ;)
Happy St. Paddy's Day, one and all!
Crossing things off lists is awesome...and I seem to have loaded, hoorah!
hurray!
hi all-would someone please enlighten me onto the last e word-is there a mistake?
e + NZ bird
et4
ok-thanks
according to lickety i have the only et word done but still have an e word left
well then you are missing a different e word!
hmm-must be going mad-thanks anyway
I have no e words, so I am no help. In fact, I only have 6 words total. **Preparingfor dive**
go go Uni!
ed7, ed5, ed4, em4 x 2, et4
3 ed's 2 em's 1 et niks
there's a NZ bird that's not a kea or a kiwi?
morning I think...
there is!!
hello
have fires-but computer told me i had that word ages ago
hello hoot trag ata bich niks and all
and I've been to NZ too. Must live only on the North Island
since this site was hacked it hasnt been acting to well
hi west
you might not have seen every bird in NZ, bichon :P
I had problems with it before, but my load and wait times have been even worse since the incidents.
It's actually working better I my end! But it still loses words
well-our computer has its moments i must admit
If I can load the grid, entering words is a slow and painful process. Actual completions are at maybe one a week because retyping the same word five and ten times is boring.
I'm done. Have a Happy St. Patrick's Day
ive found that to uni
Happy St Pats!
good job west
happy st pats to all..and happy anniversary mumsy
yay west!
Good to know I am not the only one. I never told Dr God as I assumed it was just me having problems with internet, but maybe I should let him know there are still kinks. I'm sure he figured it out..
I am people are finally realisesing that you HAVE entered words and they ARE disappearing!. I think we need more space. A lot more people on here than whats in the chog.
me too actually, i always assumed it was my connection
i am glad!
no-i def think theres probs with it,youre not alone
Leprechauns. It has to be leprechauns.
there's always been issues with words avnishing
One change thou - instead of losing plurals, it now loses whole words.
those lepers...grrr
For the last two years or so there have been consistently between 150 and 300 people online at any given time, as far as I have noticed. I don't know that the people have increased, but the problems have :(
k-fires are done and so am i ..nighty nite-have fun all
and big words too. Lost an eight letter one once.
Wait a tic...Leprechauns strip. And are lepers? Stripping leperous leprechauns? Sounds awful.
ewwwwww
Congrats niks!
way too late for me to digest that uni-have to sleep now
have fun and keep green
Lecherous leperous leprechauns...My. Watched Pontypool last evening (based off the book). Seems I might have onomatopoeic problems.
Well before all hel broke loose I couldn't get a complete grid after the flip and after 4-5 words could not enter any more. Could not post to chog either and I'm sure some people think I abandoned them in mid-sentence.
byyeeee
I do offer apologies too. I thought people were really just being defensive or thick-headed
When will I remember that babble says yoda is not a word?
i tried it too
Yeah? So? What's wrong with being defensive and thick-headed??? :-)
Babble conversations often halt partway, depending on a number of variables. I often poof away without saying it.
hahahahaha - not a thing!
Yeah I do too but not when someone is waiting for a reply
I don't think anyone would take it as rude if you did though
It happens. Speaking of pointed questions - how is your newest masters or PhD or whatever going, Ata?
Well I consider it rude. If someone asks for help or just asks me a question I will answer. But hard when you are cut off
fun fun! It's great. Except I get to read 900+ pages of environmental stateents this week. Joy!
It certainly is frustrating, but from my point of view, Hoot, you are not being rude in babble if you can't answer a question just because internet connections are tenuous, power resets, etc. I guess I have a leniency in internet chat that I don't in person to person chat.
900+ pages?? I am not even reading that many pages of pleasure books, school works and random street signs!
tell me about it! And its reallllllly boring
Tune in next week to "As the Globe Warms", when we hear Ata say...
Tune in next week to "As the Globe Warms", when we hear Ata say...
Perhaps you will find the revolutionary answer to saving the planet though. That would be lovely.
... there's dog poo in my carbon footprint.
Well I tend to agree with you Uni, but I try not to be rude and it frustrates me. Maybe just age-related.
I am monkeying some truly weird words!
it's annoying, but it can't necessarily be rude
Ugh, my chat seems to have been eaten. Again. Case in point!
I'm having trouble posting too. Doesn't do my punchlines any good.
me too hoot
It does ruin a good snarky comment. Oh my, have to go in ten minutes and not making much grid progress. Tricky.
Your punchlines are fine Judi
i'm searching and trying thing after thing... word ends up being the thing a clock tells
sigh
Oh grid blindness is rampant ts - I must have spent at least an hour trying to find teepee the other day! Just could not see it. Wanted to hit myself with a shovel...

have a good one if i don't see you all again :)
Watching What Not to Wear is a dangerous prospect. I want someone to give me five grand to spend on clothes. I would be so stylish!
hi all!
Me too. But not sure I want to go back to NY
Speaking of stylish...Hello TO!
hi TO
hi 72
Oh, AMEN, Uni. I went clothes shopping yesterday. Came home with two l/s fashion t's and a pair of jeans. I shopped for four hours. It was dismal. Hate it when I have money to spend and can't find anything decent to wear.
so what have i walked in on?
I can live without Stacey and Clinton, but I would like some more choices!
I don't have the money, really, but I have three pair pants, all falling apart and many shirts of an ill fitting and ugly nature. When I do try to get something that actually fits me, I fail. Everything is too short!
Well at least Clinton is better than the other guy! I always wondered how a great ape could give cedible fasion info
It seems that specifically trying to find nice things never works, TO.
credible
oh, it's a law of hte universe. don't try to fight it.
Hmm. How about edible fashion? Don't like it? Eat it!
And by TO, I meant Judi. Apologies.
as in i am trying to find a white shirt. becasue everyone must have one. fugeddahboutit
I've heard of some edible fashions, but they are inappropriate for public consumption.
they have that Judi
candy pants
=O
and bras
I could wear anything I liked... if I was a size 4. Not likely to happen in this lifetime. Skinny bitches better not let me catch them shopping.
Yum.
I just wants jeans/pants of an appropriate length and width. And at least three shirts I don't hate. And two nice bras, but that would be a $100+ adventure for each bra, so that isn't happening.
I have lots of clothes but most of them don't match. So I wind up wearing the same 4-5 pr of pants and the same with the tops. And when did the powers that be decide that real sleeves were too expensive!
amen!
can I have the co4/6 and the ni4/5?
gee tor, what a surprise.
Sleeves seem to be out of fashion, Hoot. Everywhere I try to shop caters to people my age, but of 1/3 my size and a lot more brazen nudity!
TO - buy a man's shirt and throw a trendy belt around it. Maybe you can get away with it.
judi: i am a midget. with a midriff. won't work. :D
I HATE SLEEVELESS TOPS! I am cursed with fat arms.
hello all
Sigh. I hear you girlfriend.
Owl, you are definitely not a midget
Hi, Peri!
*sneaks in* TO, you ARE NOT a midget nor have a midriff!!
can I have the co4/6 and the ni4/5?
Judi not quite sleeveless. They just go down about 3-4 inches. I wind up wearing a sweater when I put them on. I am no lightweight either
which co4/5?
hello
4/6?
well technically, no. i am above 5'

I used to get a lot of things from Hanes Her Way. Haven't seen a catalog in a while though. But they were very good at sizing for everyone. And not expensive either. They even believe people who wear plus sizes have normal length arms!
ok, I am 5'8"

Lynnx, like wise to you :) am fine thank you. Still managing to work. Due another small op on the back next month. Hopefully this will provide a few months of pain relief. How are you.\?
I do miss the daily groups of the girls and the lads. I am so out of touch with everyone. But hope they are all well.
good luck with the operation, elder

LOL Hey Uni!!
Hi Uni!
elder - I have taken on the mantle of a grey head as I am going greyer by the day this year :)
I am snacking on peanut butter and crackers while I do, anyone else want some? I am finishing up the smooth, but there is crunchy!
if I wasn't already eating thai ...
oooh yess crunchy PB please! just pass me the jar and a spoon
If its peanut butter, I prefer the crunchy please.
Peanut butter can go with thai, if you try hard enough. I alos LOVE the crunchy **Shares**
FMitch.... LOl , it comes to us all :)
pb can and does! especially in pad thai
FM - tough times for everyone!
Yup lynxxx
No jam just the peanut butter on bread with thick butter. Blown it now, all is revealed with regard to my dietary needs/ wants.
now I think i'll have to make pad thai tomorrow
PB with Anchor butter on white bread..... heaven!
keep going FMitch.....lovely
oh and a good grid of salt too just to get the ateries really going :)
None of this diet spread YUk .
Lol giggles ...
*grin*
Its probably why were going grey, but still have hair.
we're
thank goodness I have eaten already otherwise I would be cravig!
he he ..
the only problem (ha ha) I've found with my curent diet is that I don't get enough salt. I have to add salt to things. BLECH
No that is a good thing Ata
I know, I just hate saltiness!
My diet isn't a diet so much as it is a compilation of anything I could possible want to eat. Lots of cheese, potatoes, pasta, bread, peanut butter, more cheese, more potatoes and meat. Yum yum yum.
At keast then you can add it rather than be deluged with it
Oh, Ata, we need some salt in out bodies. That's why we can swim. But if you don't like the taste that would be horrid.
In thinking, I realize that I very rarely put salt in things. Mostly just gravy and baking.
lol when I was a student I lived on cheese, potatoes and pasta. looks similar!
Uni that sounds perfect for me.
Of course, I've got the roundness to prove my diet...
nor me, Uni, not a drop. And as I'm not eating packaged and whatever foods, I'm just not getting salt
Uni Ditto :)
I don't eat a lot of prepackaged food, but I am sure what I do contains a bunch of salt.
Ata, amazing the amount of salt put into most products..
why eat prepackaged when you can have cheese!
I *know*. And I look at my father just putting so much salt on his food, and my best friend too ... ick ick!
quite.
and with salt.
I love cheese. I find my problem is that I get repetitive in my meals and can't think of new (simplish) meals to try out. I get in ruts.
can u help me with 6 letter words?
I have refilled my salt shaker once in the last year and a half. Even my pepper gets used more than that. Although, I do use garlic salt in some things.
spaghetti, with mayonnaise and cubes of cheese. LOL. that got me through about 8 years of student life!
LOL just got email from a friend asking the following: you sell you property If you had no family ties/husband/kids etc and had the chance to travel or change your life - what would you do?
Go ...
Cheese is VERY expensive in NS, especially at the rate I eat it. My grocery bill keeps going up, but my paycheques aren't. It's no good!
Jamie6 I only have one de6-27. Do you want a clue
really? that's bad news. buy a cow instead and start an artisan NS cheese

Well hopefully Derryn will send me back some info. I'm pretty sure you can travel as a foot passenger and have a dog with you but I think she would have to be in a crate unfortunately. Condor are funny like that.
i still need 34. these small grids can be tough.

hi TO :)
hi to
ty jill -- looking
I'll email you as soon as I hear back from her.
yay!!!
can clue it more if you like, nan
so if we get into Guernsey, is the boat to Sark nearby? Or would we have to lug Hobbit and crate across the island?
If you come in from the UK by boat its about a two minute walk from one quay to the other :)
please, jill
yay! was hoping you'd say that
and the Sark boat won't mind a big dog crate on it?
:) If you come in by plane its a twenty minute car trip
e + "The Au****** of Hope"
Do it'll be fine. But Hobbit won't be in the crate on our boat - just on a lead is fine
nice clue, jili!
That was supposed to say "No" not "Do"
any bh words?

yay! she'll loooooooooove that

glad you got it, nan
yep! I can already imagine ... I don't think Hobbit's ever been on a boat before, but if she sees seagulls, she'll Want Them
I'm enjoying your travel plans, ata and liz!
which is the other 7?
do your ferries synchronise their timing? Ours often don't.
did you have fun lugging your Great Danes around, jilli?
No they don't Jilli - they're hopeless like that
that would be easy, jilli!
Ata if you look here there's a picture of one of our local boats. The outside seats are at the back but you can;t see it on this photo http://www.sarkshipping.info/
ata, we lived in the eaqst then, and had a van and a trailer (caravan) for our travels
and please may i havea clue for the y word?
TO, clued a little while ago -- yi4/7 rhymes with the tweeter
yay I love boats like that
So do I ....on calm days lol
ty, jil. lots of old babblets, i f oudn after my break it was best to just type without thought.
right, TO!
I love them on rough days too. If I have my Magic Seasick Tablets with me
LOL I was just flicking through the tourism website and saw my son with his giant peach!!!!
the other 7 leter word is not so apparent
yay for the giant peach!!
I wish I had some of those Ata - I just use the Boots own ones (by the bucket load)
how long are those ferry rides (in hours or minutes)?
try and get some from your doctor, Liz. If you're that bad, there are stronger ones they can prescribe
the other 7 is ni7/32
and cheaper than buying out the Boots supply!
ty jili - got it right off! :D
ex-smoker
wtg TO!
lol, me too!
GUernsey to Sark is about 45 minutes I think
Not cheaper!!!!! Not here anyway! We are ot covered by the NHS on Sark. We all have private health insurance....

only cos I still have the web site open from looking earlier!
wtg cyber
I've asked this every day for the last while and will try for an answer one more time...
Interesting -- comparing with Vancouver to Vancouver Island 1 hr 35 min, Van Island to Salt Spring 35 min.
I was uploading a couple of photos onto my blog and got immersed!
Is anyone getting videos at the fireworks?
I thought you had, TO!
Bye the way can anyone see my kids on my icon or is Oscar still showing his hairy face?
kiddies
I'd love to visit Vancouver Island. Its on my hit list lol
But if you miss the connection on Vancouver Island there's a 2 hour wait for the next ferry.
kids
thank Ata :)
I guess no one is, or no one wants to answer?
ty jmc
heigh ho
can someone help with the ed7 word please and thanks
I haven't got fireworks yet sorry Nan
are the kiddies going to be ok with having another cocker around for a while, or will they be sad thinking of Scully?
I got the video two nights ago cyber
missed your question, nan -- please repeat
;-)
Is anyone getting videos any more?
hi dorens and jmc
They will be fine :) I might not be..... LOL
hi jill
is this a friendly little grid?
awww I know. but Hobbit will expect cuddles 24 hours a day. she'll love you and wiggle and make you feel happy eventually
haven't had videos for ages -- not since mrp's last surgery
Does the ac 8 begin with the ac 5/12 ?
Thats the thing Ata, I may not let you have her back :))
yes, teach
yes wv, it does
ok -- I just wondered if it was my computer, because I have sent a couple to Lickety.
Oh NOW it tells me!!!! Grrr
Sorry! I have had a heaqt wrap on my leg and it was getting sore - just read ont he back that it will burn you if left on too long....Doh!
And I cannot type to save my life tonight
thanks for the help - had to keep trying different ways to monkey it
thanks for the help - had to keep trying different ways to monkey it
Hobbit will be very different to Scully. Working cockers are just a bit different. I can't explain, but I'm sure you'll see a big difference between them. Both gorgeous of course
fireworks here
Must run -- pot luck with friends tonight and must get my contribution ready. See you tomorrow :)
yay wv
YAY teach!!!
wtg wv
bye cyber
I loved the vid of her on You Tube. She has a look of Sasha about her...
I think its the eyes
dorens, not too bad a little grid if you use Lickety's list for count etc. Lots of babblets
bye nan -- finished?
Ata we'll have to take loads of photos of them for the Babblers to see :)
I'm very glad in a way that we don't have Jake any more. Poor boy. But he really would have reminded you of Scully. Same colouring, same bustling bumbling
Oscar & Hobbit I mean, not us lol
absolutely!
You too, ata and liz!
I always hide behind the lens Jilli lol
me too :D
not allowed *severe old lady loook*
ok thanks jilli, cause i'm almost halfway in and not moving too much right now. guess i will go to the list as soon as i get halfway
LOL *shivering at the receiving end of Jilli's look"
I got half way last night before I realised there WAS a list!

sorry
was just about to put in the next word too!
ty dorens ;-)
any time, jmc!
I will have to start a collection - photos of me with other Babblers....No.1: me and Stidmere, No2 : me and Ata..... who's up for number 3?
coming to jersey soon liz?
you come here, liz, and we'll take one together
New jersey, that would be....
if you make it to new jersey you are only a hop skip and ajump away from DC
and a flying leap to the west coast and the ferries
need only one more for fireworks ac5/12 before preforming in a play
how close are you to Victoria Island (?) jilli?
Jersey I can do....New Jersey....not so sure lol. I'll start saving! Maybe someone could "pop" down south and meet me in Peru :)
ac + opp of out + vowel

urf. I didn't realise that!
i was so darned excited that i got in, didn't pay attention to that!
I didn't think about order of turns, sorry!!
if you go to the "friends" bit on the blue bar, you'll see all your friends who play lexulous
no problem. where's jilli?
she *was* here when I started it!!
ok. we'll find her eventually. do people prefer this to scrabble and why, if so?
bi-5/7?
I think most people like lexulous because it;'s the "descendant" of scrabulous
there is no bi 5/7
and everyone LOVED scrabulous
i am hating this puzzle
i really don't know how y'all have time for babble, other word games, work, families, life, etc.
it is not too bad sans
retired
nobody does *grin*
sorry - meant bi-6/16
bi5/16
cross between a bathtub and a toilet
the thing about the facebook games is that if you have a patient partner they take as long as they take
have that one dorens- were there two ?
ty dorens now all I have to do is spell it! lol
ok ata, shall we start another? (i am patient, but if we are playing live what happens when i want dinner?)
that's true, jmc. it's a very nice way to play scrabble
whoot I spelled it right!
bi + mustard and catsup are co***ments
well, as jmc said, you can play as quickly or slowly as you want
my only problem was the first ti4 I played scrabble my computer froze and I lost the game
jmc? would yu start a game with dorens?
I only ask cos it's my night-night ti4 very shortly!!
yes, my scrabble game i played with david took about two weeks i think
FranMag's great for short games, quickly played
I have never started a game; dorens do I have you as a FB friend?
got it thanks\
goodness yes you need to sleep ata, forgot about the time difference. whenever jilli gets to our game we will do it
i think so. will check
*grins* no worries, I'll just shove you off onto someone who is still awake :D:D

i am amazed that you can do this! i feel so schizy!
hi all
ni7 and ed 7
hi nrkii
ni 7/32
who says I am not feeling schizy?
hi nrkii
probably why the only de I found was the first de4/6
ha got the 5/18
art de**
two more that begin with that
ty dorens totally coming up from bottom!
de 6 27 - 10 years
and then change that middle vowel
I swear I tried that one before :-(
can i have a hint for ni7?
nrk, how did you know that was one of my two words left?
don't smoke, jamie
I have my tin foil helmet on
ni7 - cigarette drug, almost
so now you know the one i have left, right???
and it looks lovely too
THANKS!!!
I took the helmet off... it's not fashionable
the antenna might be crooked
i got it!
but the one you have left is probably one of the 19 I have left
:)
good, glad it worked jamie
back again after doing some Lexulous
the antenna has a jaunty air!
co6? is that one?
I have co6... to make changes to a document with someone else
you're right jilli, i like it. but the scoring tiles look different from scrabble, or am I really nuts?
Dorens, you mean lexulous?
thanks nrk. that is my fireworks. think i have to make myself some dinner, the cook and butler are off tonight
can i have a hint for ed7?
yes nrk. i am losing my virginity as we speak
ed7 = ed + played a role in a movie or play
oh, that's so WRONG
ignore me
wtg dorens
edacted is a word I wanted to be in the grid
dorens, they are different and you get 8 tiles, but it all works so smoothly and you get a graph and so on. I had a game going in Scrabble with kje but couldn't find it -- still can't.
YAY Dorens!!
wait wait what are you accusing me of doren?!?
who could ignore you with that cute little helmet on?
I like lexulous better
Hello, Jill . . .
but I play both, to humor others
And everyone else!
so do I nrkii
hi JC
you're off the hook jmc, i think we have to blame ata for this
hi J.C.
I could use some of that foil to roast a chickennrkii
whew!
hi JC -- had a good sleep?
and maybe jilli, i think she's the one who started it
help with the fy pls
Hi, jmc . . . we almost have the same name! ;)
and i could eat that chickenrurur
I have to go home someti4 today
okay, trying again ed7 - ed + vowel + large populated area
BTW, dorens, congrats on finishing (just noticed)
ruru, sorry, I already wrapped up some leftovers with the foil... hair side out of course
fy+ beans and ri**

good evening, folks, how's it going?
ty dorens
ed7 = having the unmitigated au******.
I like my ed7 clue -- e + "The Au****** of Hope)
notice this food theme going... i need to eat
hi JBV
Higher ranked, jmc? How is that?
19 but I need to go home and see if my internet works--nothing personal dorens if the games slows considerably
snap, JC, sort of
J.C.=Jesus Christ
see ya jmc
bye all
Snap, Jill?
im still not getting the ed7. haha
bye jmc
Oh I see, jmc - HAHAHA!
;-)
ok. jmc. will check from time to time. see you later
some of these words are downright ridiculous - like mi 6/36
Sorry, didn't realise you mean that. Well, if you must know, that isn't my name - good guess, though! ;)
our ed7 clues, jc
Those are my initials - but I'm not HIM . . .
Oh yes, Jill? Sorry - didn't see yours!
agreed jbv, and hi
JC -- not quite the same -- I used Obama's book title as a reference -- over Jamie's head, I fear.
ok. time for dinner.... see you all later
HAHAHA, if I *was* HIM, jmc - I guess I'd be the espression a friend of mine uses a lot. 'Christ on a tricycle!' - only I ride a bicycle, as you see in my profile pic . . . :P
see ya dorens!
Oh I see, I think, Jill? :P
bye dorens
<-- Is knackered senseless.
JC, to belabour the point, see mine at 6:00 grid time
Hmmm . . . OK, Jill?
Oh yes - see it now, Jill.
Sorry, but I'm very dopey-drowsy, half asleep here!
nimporte, jc!
I need - tea!!!
(Of course - I always need tea!) :P
what time is it for you, jc?
I need a hot bath, a beer, and some good cold meds
Only just after 11pm, Jill - but I've had a long, tiring day.
and a transporter to get me back up to my parents tomorrow without the 4 hours of driving
I hope it was productive, jc
Yes, productive enough . . .
Scotty to the rescue, nrkii!
Going to put kettle on . . .
I'd settle for Samantha
this grid is making me annoyed
must get article written for local paper -- back soon (it's mostly done)
18 still to go
Oh, you write articles as well, Jill?
What are you stuck on, nrkii?
so i'm new here
the object of this game is....
So hello and welcome then, Prinsess . . .
finding words obviosly
To enter the words in the puzzle, on the left . . .
Right . . .
you have to try to find them all?
No, you can leave some if you like. You won't score the maximum amount of points that way, though. ;)
okay...
so theres a secret
You'll find a helpful word list in the links at the bottom - Lickety's list . . .
Secret? Not that I'm aware?
It's very simple . . .
fireworks here and hi guys
the idea is to finish-that is the real challenge prins
so you just want the big ones
The "Lickety's Babble Clues" list - that enables you to enter each word as yo ufind it, and it shows you which order your found words appear in - so you know where you are.
but no pressure just nice fun
Erm, no - the words vary in length, but can't be any shorter than four letters.
Hello, Sandy! :)
alrighty then
hi jc how are you this morning
O
Oops, HAHA! Let's try that again . . .
why,oh why are 2 simple fi4 words so bloody h ard to find?! arrrrgh! curse all babblets!
I'm spendid this evening thanks, Sandra - hope you are also? :)
lol jc, does that mean you are rolling along in an even well balanced way
cough..hello all
Which ones do you need, crosshair - or do you want clues?
Hello, crosshair! Don't think we've actually met?
hi crossy, how are you today
crossy is one of everyone
hello
nope ill get them...i mean how many ways are there off of a single f?
Rollling along on my dorky bicycle Sandy, yes . . .
everyone's favourites jc
not bad sandy:)
Yes, I know crosshair - drove me round the twist too! :P
ughh. the 4 fi word is hard!
Sorry - hello, Jamie - how are you?
HAHAHA, don't we know it?!
okay. thanks. how are you?
our cow stood on my bicycle jc, I have locked him in a bicycle free paddock!
Very well, thank you - can't complain. Well, I could - but who would want to listen to it? :P
round the twist??? round the trist?!..im about ready to climb up on our water tower with a paint ball gun and spruce the town up a bit:)
Oh no, Sandy - yikes, that would finish it off?!
haha. are you sure there is a fourth fi word?? sorry i am not a member so i cannot look
lol jamie..i have one there are 2 more
only 3 Jamie - fo & fy the others
Hello everyone
ohhh! lol i was looking for the 4th
Oh dear, crosshair - let me know if I can help before you resort to that, won't you? ;)
darn..and i was going to wear my speedo......
Jamie - it's well worth the $14 US to become pro. Very cheap - and a one-time payment! ;)
yes jamie..all thios insanity can be yours;)
Ooh, well now you're talking, crosshair - if you look dead sexy in it, that is? ;)
actually i lasted 3 days before i went pro
Yes - I didn't last long before going pro either.
the women in here entrapped me:)
HAHAHA - they're all yours! ;)
how do you get a picture on here?
i didn't last more than a couple of hours before i went pro ... felt naked with everyone else all dressed up in their icons :)
You have to be a pro member to have a profile, Prinsess.
I'm dressed up in my winter clothing, in mine.
oh yeah?
uh huh i see
Chilly riding a bicycle about town in winter!
alright i can only find 4 letter words
Yes, Prinsess - it's only $14 US - and that's a one-time fee, so it's very cheap! ;)
*surfacing at mention of crossy in a Speedo* O_o *rediving*
very
my picture isnt worth that much
lol rbud
lol
writ
Well I'm sure mine's not either - although some may be willing to pay for it. Probably to keep it out of sight! :P
Yes, rbud - that piqued my interest as well! ;)
So, crosshair - are you dead sexy, in a Speedo?
Sandy - are you still with us? If so, you have mail . . .
shhh 1 left then i can keep the speedo in the closet....
Oh, darn . . . (hoping you don't find it, then)! ;)
Crosshair has all the women and poofters excited now! ;) HAHAHA!
did you all come close to or finish the game?
where in Canada are u crosshair?
Finished it over breakfast this morning, Jamie - many hours ago.
wow
ummm no...not even close
hi all: not close. getting stuck with 58 to go
i only have 37 words
hi Gwen
i am halfway
Need help, Gwen - just let me know how I can clue you?
99 words are there??
Yes, Jamie - just 99, a smaller grid.
YAAAAA GOT THE FI/4 S!
DAARN THING
Jamie - go pro, will you? :P
i'm leaving now
have fun all
i will read the mail later jc, thanks. I just changed my icon so read the story! it's interesting!
Then you can see everything for yourself - well worth it! ;)
OK, Prinsess - take care then! :)
Oh, OK Sandy . . .
are there any 8 letter words?? if so can someone help me with that?
Wow, Sandy - that's very interesting!!! I have chickens, so that's good to know . . .
Hi Sandy - how horrible but how clever!
My dog thinks she's their protector and guardian, though - it's funny! :)
there is one 8 letter jamie, it begins with ac
Just as well - can't be guaranteed of finding a dead crow lying around. :P
phantom: bitchy lol
lynxx, its amazing how it works , well it works for us anyway- I always know when to find a dead crow because we have no eggs
ac***** tink of nail polish remover ingredient with a change in the first vowell
What do you mean, Sandy?
well sort of...
Yes, that's a hard one to clue, crosshair . . .
Was just trying to think of how . . .
our dogs dont chase the birds jc as we have a lot of native parrots and we have taught them not to chase birds - and jc, the crows steal our eggs
Do roosters do anything about protecting their harem?
It rhymes with another word for 'murder', Jamie . . .
yes lynxx, ours has saved some of his girls from the fox
Yes, my dog doesn't chase them either - she has appointed herself our chickens' guardian! ;) She is so funny - and cute!
hmmm...
And yes - they do, lynxxx.
no fox would dare attack him, he is fierce
Jamie - the other word for 'murder' that begins with the first four letters of a term that describes me - or men like me. :P
I'll have him reading my profile now . . .
ac8 ac & a *** can & the ***s of March
I'm sure these clues are confusing the heck out of him, poor lad . . .
Sandy - you're not on Flickr, are you?
Yes, lynxxx - that's probably the best clue for that so far!
jc, when i get time, i am going to set up some photos
TY lynx, got the 8
im not very computer literate
Yes, I understand Sandy - I've uploaded some from my recent trip and haven't even got them all on there yet, because it's time-consuming uploading and labelling them all, plus entering descriptions and sorting them into sets! :P
very hard to clue this ac:/
I should upload a set of photos of my dog, though . . .
And have them display in my profile.

My what interesting lives we lead.
I'm back for a bit, while having a cuppa - yes indeed, Frances! ;) How are you?
Cheerio for now, Sandy . . .
lynxx we have a gorgeous day here, overcast and cool!
OK, I'll try again Jamie . . .
Feeling refreshed J.C. having spent the afternoon and early evening with six year old granddaughter.
ac + *** (can) + homoc*** (murder, most fab)! ;)
Does THAT help - finally??? :P
Awww, good Frances! :)
I wish I felt refreshed - I feel dead knackered! :P
I absolutely adore her. She is the best thing to have ever happened in my life.
I will join my snoring boyfriend shortly . . . he's the smart one. Him and the dog - she's snoring too.
I'll bet, Frances - children are so precious! :)
Are you trying to clue the ac8.50? How about perform + opp to out + ebb t***
I was, yes - but I'im drowsy and half-asleep.
And I don't even know if Jamie's still here?
She is six and trying to teach me Swedish and Spanish.
you could of made it look harder to clue than that frances:/
lol
Sorry crossy.
Wow - she speaks both of those languages besides English, already?! Puts me to shame . . .
okay, i'm off for now. BBL *poo-tee-weet!*
okay, I still have 17 left, so somebody use your psychic powers to figure out which 17 and then start cluing please
hello
Oh god - now I'm expected to be psychic? Erm no, nrkii - that's psycho, sorry! :P HAHAHA . . .
Her mother is Swedish and they also have a place in Spain so spend a lot of time there.
hi harp
So do I, Frances - in Majorca. I don't speak the language to save my life, though! :P
Hi harp
try this nrkii...ed 7/44 = a type of cheese minus the last letter+ what a town is when it crows up
grows even
I know J.C. cut off your hands and you'd be dumb.
ah good try crosshair, but your psychic powers are not "on" today
here's a headline you never see: Psychic Wins Lottery!
mmm
I have the 7's and 8's done
Ooh yes - a Dutch cheese.
but cross, I do appreciate your effort! :)
OK, nrkii - try 'ed' + unmitigated aud*****.
(As in gall, nerve.)
I'm missing 2 w words...I have 4 wh and 1 wr
JC, I have that one, thanks!
Yes really, harpjane - funny, that?! :P
You've just reminded me J.C. when my son was very young he gave my boobs names - edam and gouda.
i have the e7, what does the other 7 start with?
hey, peeps
You are very very welcome, nrkii! ;)
ni7
ni7 = cigarette drug, minus last letter
He . . . erm . . . WHAAAT, Frances?!?!?!
could I get some help with ac5/14, pls?
thanks
HAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
your some gave your boobies names of cheeses?! lol
*Falls off chair, laughing!*
Cracked me up when he first came out with that.
ac 5 14 = played a part (in a movie, on stage...)
Yes - you made ME laugh, and that's supposed to be MY job! :P
that made me snort coffee:)
I think it was more to do with the shape.
not a good way to get your caffeine, cross ;P
Happy to oblige J.C.
crossy envision boobies the size of a gouda round.....
OMG, thx, nrk
<-- Tries *NOT* to envision those! :P
i'm back
lol j.c
how many wh words are there?
dunno why I couldn't see that
6 WH
well Frances, at least it wasn't Swiss
ooooo, 99 babbles of words on the wall, 99 babbles of words...take one down, add in the word, 98 babbles of words on the wall...
or Cottage
Six, nrkii . . .
ah, missing 2 wh, thanks
hi feather
HAHA, yes featherbee . . .
LOL nrkii - all those holes!!!
what's it like? nice?
Eww, Frances - that could get messy!
yay, got the w's done
Wasn't bad, fatherbee - finished it over breakfast (or brunch), many hours ago.
not nice feather, but manageable
Erm - 'featherbee' that is, sorry!
feather, what are you drinking???
depends on when you go to list I guess... I'm trying to hold out, but not enjoying it
My typingi suffers in relation to how tired I am.
Erm - 'typing'. See what I mean? :P
You are a very quick typist J.C.
lol, nada tyger. just tired. i'd better not touch it then, i really should be doing some work.
it's not that late where u are is it?
as is common with the smaller grids, this one's a bear - too many weird words
midnight?
Yes, Frances - but not always an accurate one!
this grid has some evil babblets;(
I've used typewriters and computers for years, as I do a lot of writing.
oh, feather, good news report...
Just call it predictive text J.C.
Yes, Prinsess - it's midnight here./
Can anyone please clue the 2 v words? Thanks.
my dad is doing a little better today, and I have a job interview on Thursday
Is that what it is?
it's not THAT bad, feather. just your run of the mill short grid
i have a good friend in the uk
vi + actor ***k Nolte
Oh good to hear - and good luck with that, nrkii . . .
and vi + abbreviation for the Empire State
thanks JC
both V words are related to things that berries and other similar things grow on
The two 'v' words, rolotom, are relating to and descriptive of a long, twisting plant structure . . .
Thanks!
Or what tygerbryght just said, yes . . .
what a coincidence, prins, so do I :D AAMOF, I've got good friends around the world ... thanks to computers
could someone get me started on the B's?
wow, I almost just pasted my entire word list into the chat
anyone want 84 words for free?
honestly nr, today i wouldn't mind!
Hi, All
JC, you don't have to type out the whole thing. I answer to tyger, tyg, and ty. I adopted the nic nearly 25 years ago, back on ARPAnet
b + frozen water
b + beware the ***s of march
same plus cons for device in a fancy bathroom
bi5: a French invention for the bathroom - often much loved by us femmes
OK, tyger - as you wish! ;) I won't expect you to type the dots in between my initials, either. ;)
how do you feel, tyger?
:D
bi 4/7 - tie or secure (or constipate)
It's an interesting nickname, tyger - I simply wasn't very creative when I joined, so I just used my initials. :P Everyone thought Jesus Christ had joined . . .
bi5 = bi + little insect
bi4 drop last vowel of previous
hi all!
hi, TO
bu 4 = sounds like sparrow, parrot, robin, etc
not bad, thx, pam. nurse was here today, and ulcers are much smaller - thx to exercise and prayer. I've worked up from 4 mins @ 0.7mph to 7+mins @ 1.0mph - and am inordinately pleased with myself
hey, owl
hi TO!
Hi, Temple Owl . . .
hey, nrk! how are things?
Oh good, tyger - was just reading your profile. Sorry to hear you've had all those troubles! :( Glad to hear you're on the mend! :)
bu4/8 phonetic spelling of winged creature (Murkan nasal pronunciation)
Tyger, that is TERRIFIC. I am SO happy for you! And, do you feel you have your strength back?
I'm sorry to hear you've been ill tyger!!
okay TO, my dad is improving slightly, and I have a job interview on Thursday
You're doing well there, tyger! :)
thx, JC. it's been a tough few months, but I have always been at least a bit of an optimist, and am *determined* to get better
my dad is still in intensive care, but the numbers are all a little bit better today
nrk, didn't know your dad was sick
what's wrong?
he got pneumonia last week and it moved very fast and he ended up with septic shock on a respirator and in serious danger
would someone please give me a million dollars if i promise to stay at my job until the end of the year?
is the ot word unusual? Can't seem to get it
nrk i haven't seen you for a while. i didn't know your dad was ill. i am glad to hear he is improving.
they've been able to treat the shock part, and they're still working on the lungs and now trying to keep his BP and heart rate okay
Sorry, nrkii
That bad is it, harpjane?
no it's a babblet
LOL, harp
of or related to the ear
best of luck with the interview Thurs. I don't envy anybody job-hunting in this economy. I recall what a rough time I had back in 1979-81 finding work. finally gave up and went back to school
TO, I've been sneaking in most days to do a little babbling between hospital visits
No, it relates to the ear . . .
septic shock? babe, you're blessed/lucky he's alive!
I wouldn't say it's a babblet - it's a word I've run across before, not all that uncommon.
I had to sneak back to New Jersey today to get supplies, and then I go back up to Massachusetts again in the morning
I'll be up there for a while
which is a babblet?
tyger, I know... we went through this with him 17 years ago, so we kind of knew the drill
The 'ot' word . . . but I woudln't say so.
oh, i didn't think of that as a babblet...
surviving septic shock once is amazing... surviving it twice ... I don't know how to describe what that would be
I dunno if it's better or worse to know what you're up against in circumstances like those ((((((nrkii))))))
where in MA, mrkii?
Springfield, Pam
nrk can you do email?
Who has an interview thurs? I can't keep up...
Yes - what a worry, nrkii . . .
yes, at AOL, checking it every day
Ahh, nrkii....
Oh, nrkii does . . .
I have a job interview Thurs... my life is busy :-D
I'm so glad I'm not employed right now
it's been that much easier to deal with this past week
For what, nrkii?
I am a big believer that things happen for a reason, so now I know why I wasn't supposed to be employed in March
interview in nj?
it would be rough to be asking a boss for time off for anything just now, even for a gravely ill parent or other of the closest relatives
the interview is in Manhattan actually
a lot closer tha tx :)
plus, the job I had was horrible, stressful, and meaningless
I am glad that you can see the unemployment as a good thing....
yep, a LOT closer :)
well, pam, it also hasn't been horrible just taking a break
was that the bi5/14 and 4/6 you clued earlier?
owl, *what* is that icon?? I can't figure it out
as long as I can get back to work within a few months, I'll be fine... a little poorer, but fine
I can imagine, nrkii....
tyger, it
s a batfish. i thought i labeled it, if not i must do so.
"lick it once, you'll suck forever"... that is awesome TO!!!
nope, no label :)
crossy wishes all those with medical issues a speedy recovery..if your all good boys and girls and bet better, ill make you a bacon weave sandwich:))
I always like to check out people's new icons
I clued bi 5/14 and 4/6 earlier... bi + small insect, and then drop last vowel for the 4
bacon weave?
hey crossy, i am finally well and can eat anything...can i get one?
ummmm, what's a bacon weave sammich, cross?
I have to say, ICU is much much nicer these days than it was when my dad was in 17 years ago
http://breakfastblogger.com/2007/12/16 /bacon-weave/
also google bacon explosion
they let family hang out with the patient, they have a CD player in there so we can play music for him...
as some of you may already know, crossy loves bacon and rabbits;0
anyone watching idol? it's country week :P
I SO want a bacon weave sandwich!!!
very pretty, but I wouldn't be able to eat it. I can eat bacon about twice a year, that's it. and only very crisp. alternatively, ham, but no other pork
i wuv wabbits, too
t.v is evil..we have a 70 dollar a month package and all the wife and kid seem to watch are old sienfield shows and simsons;((
:(
oh tv sucks big time. i am trying to get the nerve to pull the plug and get an antenna
watching NCIS here
cross, I just scaled my cable back from 90 a month to 40 a month, just by figuring out what I actually watch and eliminating the stuff I never watch
analog signals will cease in canada by the end of this month..so no more antennas for us;(
i do watch idol though
hey all...tyger..been wondering about you, how are you? nrkii..any news about Dad?
I watch Bill maher and John Stewart
Krista!!!!
Krista, he's a little better today, thanks!

You have mail - a reply to yours! ;)
hey, krista. doing somewhat better, I'm delighted to report
i just got fios. went from 60 basic comcast 30 long distance and 22 local and 24.99 dialup to wireless broadband for $99. trouble is there's still nothing on
I couldn't scale back as far as I wanted because TNT would not be available, and I can't imagine watching tv shows on my laptop--14 inch monitor
hi, rurur
well, peeps. I really need to get off here. I'm not supposed to spend very long on the computer. I've already passed my deadline :(
I SO want Fios.....not here yet

I probably shouldn't care so much, but I like some shows, and I still manage to read a lot despite my tv time and my computer time, so I don't feel so guilty

craaaap. does anyone know how to get mac and cheese out of a shirt?
Good effort J.C.
uh.. a washing machine/
Try very hot water, Madi - so the cheese melts out.
I think Madi, a regular spay N wash would work....
as long as it isnt a silk shirt.
errr, spray.
And some borax and washing soda, with a little soap.
if it's orange kraft, good luck
That wouldn't hurt . . .
hi, red
I hear ya TO..if it is Kraft forgeddaboutit
Oh, well yes - sorry! I was assuming it was cotton, because I tend to wear that most often. :P
Hi TO.
he5,16 please?
Apart from that fetching pale blue silk number J.C.
(chips in on Madi's new sweatshirt)
thank goodness it's not kraft TO. It's organic shells and cheese. I'll go change by shirt... brb
damn straight. it's got so many preservatives i am thinking of eating it every day and ditching my vitamins
he + the beginning of mr. Jagger
You beat me to it, ruru - same clue!
Organic Mac and cheese? Is that possible?

Madi how is you family doing after your Grandfathers Passing...
DEATH be not proud, though some have called thee Mighty and dreadfull, for, thou art not so,
That BR so motivating....
Thou art slave to Fate, Chance, kings, and desperate men, And dost with poyson, warre, and sicknesse dwell,
And death shall be no more; death, thou shalt die.
I'M FREE Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free I'm following the path God has chosen for me. I took His hand when I heard him call; I turned my back and left it all. I could not stay another day, To laugh, to love, to work or play. Tasks left undone must stay that way; I've now found peace at the end of day. If my parting has left a void, Then fill it with remembered joys. A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss; Oh yes, these things, I too will miss. Be not burdened with times of sorrow Look for the sunshine of tomorrow. My life's been full, I savored much; Good friends, good times, a loved ones touch. Perhaps my time seems all to brief; Don't lengthen your pain with undue grief. Lift up your heart and peace to thee, God wanted me now-He set me free- the poem read at granddad's funeral yesterday. so beautiful

oh my, what is going on in here tonight?

JILLEROOO!!!! Happy day to ye!
Hi stid.
Hi jilli.
and stid
hello Frances! and red! hope your day was green! :-D
Being a bit of a rebel I often wore orange on St Pat's day -- hi stid! And all I missed arriving -- I've been in and out
Oh My Jilli, you didnt!
well, the orangemen are the beneficiaries of St. Patrick's presence too...
Well, I'm Scottish and English, begorrah
true...
That picture is UNBELIEVABLE, red
Isnt it nice! I did not take it.
Its the statue of St Patrik on Tara at sunrise!
Jilli, i had two really good friends in college who were roommates, Jim wore Orange, Brian Green on St Pat's day
yes, red, beautiful picture. I'm just sorry that the good fairytale icon theme fell on St Pat's day and got ignored.
I have both Protestant and Catholic Irish heritage. But though I like orange as a color, it doesn't usually look great ON me.
it's beautiful, red... much nicer than the "religious" pic you referred to earlier, LOL
the privacy rule covers all individually identifiable health information held or transmitted by a covered entity in any form or media, whether electronic, paper, or oral
I wonder if Sprite would repeat it, because Fairy tale icon would also be fun....

You didn't say hello earlier, on the messenger?
Erm, sort of - my pyjamas have some green in them. Does that count?
did you "ping" me, JC?
LOL I suppose we'll take your word for it!
No, because you were Babbling - so I was hesitant to disturb you!

hi all...
Hi Pini
J.C. the one on the stairs is, well er interesting!

I've got PG tips thanks.

I thought the one on the stairs was just too silly...
good. Do you want to meet for lunch? takes me two or 2.5 hours to get there.
was going to ask you about ti4...what are you thinking?
wish I could meet you guys Stid
vi 5 is first three letters of the one after + 2/3 of frozen water.
Which one stid? There are two.
I wish you could too, DR!

I was thinking one might be good -- miss the office workers?

vi 5 -- add summer outing in the park: pi***

J.C. I'll rename you fagash lil.

big meeting that I am in charge of and Jakes student of th emonth assembly

Exactly J.C.
So next question is... where?
evening all!
There is a noodle shop fairly close
that would be a summer thing, stid...but sounds intriguing!!!
Hmmm . . . you will, Frances? Why's that? You can try, but I may not answer to it! ;)

Awww, they're not *that* silly! Of course, I'm used to more silliness than most can probably imagine! :P
chinese? thai? szechuan?
true enough, JC. I can only imagine what YOUR mother had to put up with!
chinese or thai is good for me.

Chinatown is pretty close to Powell's I think.
HAHAHA, why *thank* you, stidmama! :P Yes, she's been a saint! ;)
Shall I research a little this evening and let you know tomorrow?

Very shortly, Jilli . . .
it's a sign of the apocalypse
oh yeah, so you say, JC.....not bldy likely
Youll have to tell him indoors that his snoring kept you awake all night J.C.
Tell who what when where, Frances? :P
The snorer on the bed.
Oh, Mike - yes, but I don't understand why you said 'tell him indoors?' No, I'll wait until we're both outdoors, to tell him? :P
I can't hear his snoring from down here, anyway . . .
Less chance of breakages?
And if he's snoring when I want to go to sleep, I'll wake him up, so I can fall asleep without his snoring! :P He'll love me for it . . .
I'm sure he loves you anyway.
Yes, he does - silly lad! ;)
Someone has to LOL
JC, what does Mike do for a living, if it's not too bold to ask?
Gee, thank you . . . I think? :P
Jilli - why don't you connect with me on 360, then you'd have access to view all the content of my page and blogs - and Mike's page and blog, too! ;)
His blog is all about what he does . . .
*Piques Jill's interest!* ;)
I think I did connect that way when you first arrived here, JC, but don't remember how to do it
No, Jill - we're not connected there yet. I sent you an inviation, though - but you haven't clicked on it to accept it yet.
We *are* connected on Flickr, yes - but not Yahoo 360.
can you send it again, please?
Erm - make that 'invitation'.
No, it won't let me send another for a fortnight.
The one I sent should be in your e-mail inbox.
You cannot send an invitation if you have an oustanding one, still not accepted yet.
ok, I'll earch my eamil -- is that where it would be?
They expire after two weeks . . .
Should be, yes . . .
