I read a university paper today that seems to prove that anorexia nervosa is due to a mis-wiring of the brain in most cases and not due to any outside influences. I had a very angry moment then, thinking of all the 'who shall we blame today?' so-called family therapy sessions we, and other families of children in the clinic where my daughter was were subjected. No member of a family was exempt, unless a speechless babe in arms, from the blame culture.
wolf, I hate taking antihistamines, they make me tired even if they are 'non drowsy' i us beconase nasal spray and it seems to cure the hayfever without ingestion of tablets
I am with you sandy -- I would much prefer to avoid the pills whenever possible -- thankfully I am fairly resistant to most of the lethargic side effects of many of the over the counter meds
I said back then, when I was dashing between the eating disorders clinic and the ward my Dad, who had Alzheimer's Disease (dementia) was on, that I didn't think anorexia had outside causes necessarily and that I thought it was either a chemical or wiring imbalance in the brain.
Jac, I tend to agree with you, I often think our instincts are right. After my dealings with the Nicky and the medical profession!!!

What really annoys me is not the scars I'm still trying to heal from one of the let's flame and blame sessions, but the fact that young children from other families may have been damaged when they were fine before. I am resistet to those, too, grey and take Zyrtec in the morning and benadryl and a nasal spray in the evening....

you can also minimize by clicking once on the piece below (the one that tells you all of the things you have open at the moment)...then click again to bring it back to the surface ;)

Cannot help with the battery situation...had to steal the batteries from my TV's remote control in order to get my mouse to work ;)

if you right click on babble at bottom of screen it will bring up the minimize box
