I've had a melancholy two weeks West...my remaining grandmother suffered a stroke last Tuesday 3/30, and passed away this Tuesday, 4/7. I was not able to get back for the viewing and services coming up...commitments this weekend, lack of funding and work. I do have off tomorrow and Monday as had been planned, so quiet time for me mananana...
remember erasing through 4 or 5 copies! man, what patience we had

ty ladies...we also had a cousin pass away from cancer last week...knew him only as a youngster and then we all went our own ways...I don't know if she did regain consciousness, 3 of my siblings and my mom were with her over the long weekend past..I ma not the only relative unable to return this weekend, but I am handling this loss much better than many would be. If we know ahead what is to come, it's not so difficult to absorb. But when you lack a sense of completeness with your loved ones, it is very hard.

I've had this *all in one* for about two years, replacing an older version...last March '08 it stopped scanning, and my life hasn't been the same since..tried re-installing software, and nothing...can't take it in for service as the warranty expired nd the store has since closed up...so I bought the new one this past Dec and haven't done anything yet with it...
what brand is it pav?
when my Win side crashed, the Mac side continued to recognize the printer...fortunately I kept the Mac install disk, and that hasn't helped either...all my printers have been HP's
my husband has one of those all in ones and he doesn't like it
he uses it for faxes and that's about all
it was really great, cuz it has the features to copy from slides and negatives...
and I can insert a memory card from cameras, etc to print directly
we bought one of those for our granddaughter but she's had trouble with it too
sounds like a gem if you can get it working..do they have a help line?
since I've cancelled the land line, the fax doesn't come in handy anymore...
HP has a site, I just haven't had time to get on and troubleshoot...
it does take time but usually they are very helpful
my brother (Albuq.) has the next lesser model (no fax)
are you happy with your cell phone connection?
we're thinking about canceling our landline well one of them
My all-in -one stopped scanning but I have found that I can use it by going to 'My computer', selecting 'scanner', then, when asked 'what do you want to do ' selecting scan pictures. It then works.

well, it's about bed time for me...a busy day tomorrow...I have T-Mobile cell service...since '99, and am one of their most avid and long-term fans...for my master's, I co-wrote a paper on cellular technology, and Voicestream (at the time) was the only one in the US withthe advanced technology...so I've kept it even when the rest of the family switches for the latest deals and units...

We had a WONDERFUL time and re-entry to reality (work yesterday) was tough.

Doren, my highlight was rescuing an injured loon on the beach--had been attacked by a shark (per wildlife expert at the rescue sanctuary)--I covered his head with my baseball cap, scooped him up, hugged him for the 20 min walk back to the condo, we drove to the wildlife sanctuary with me cuddling him--he fell asleep as I stroked his head and neck. It was amazing.

we have wonderful coffee on Salt Spring - there's a group here who go down to Nicaragua - small island of Omatepe(ometepe) where they insure that the growers get fair wages for their work, buy the coffee and bring it up here to roast and sell - it's really super coffee

USA Babblers probably think of Epsom salts as a bath additive to relax muscles and ease pain. In the 80s, UK hospital maternity units used to routinely give oral doses of it to 'dry up breast milk', wether you wanted it dried up or not. Fortunately, or opposite, for me, the young nurse in charge of the dosages when I had my first child in 84, got the does wrong and gave me about triple. I suddenly became totally incontinent in both areas, but It didn't nuke the breast milk. (Not that I'd asked them to anyway! I'd just not been able to feed my premature baby with nurses pushing and pulling at me and just wanted to go home to do it in private.)
Thank God their plot went wrong! But the doubly incontinent thing was NOT nice.

Home birth is the best, Harp, so long as nothing goes wrong, you have a very experienced midwife with you, you're not prone to panic either, and a hospital or expert help is not too far away if something should go wrong.
