Our Children's Hospital has an old Golden named Whit that visits on Thursday mornings--I see him every week.
We worked in the Pyschiatric ward at the local hospital for many years.. visiting people who were alone at the hospital without their family and pets.
kje--I started a Medrol Pack this afternoon--my rash is all over and so intensely itchy
I have so many amazing stories of how he brought joy to people there...
What a special role he played in his life.
fantastic ru - we had a dog that visited at the NH I worked at in B-more... they loved him, and he always knew who needed him and who to spend more time with - it was amazing

I was in a daze 15 mo ago when my oldest bunny ever, Callie, was ready for euthanasia to end suffering from spinal arthritis. 3 wks later I became a foster mom for a bunny that I later adopted.

oh, it was so goofy. Plugged in the electric hedge trimmers, was ever so cautious at first, then really got the hang of it, trimming this, shearing that -- and then promptly cut the cord in half. Wheeee! At least I didn't end up doing a jig across the front yard.

How old did your cocker spaniel live to be. Cavaliers are not known to live too long due to heart problems.
my springer lived nearly 16 years but my cocker did not -- she went completely deaf and blind, and had to have a kidney removed -- she was 4 when I adopted her and I had to have her put to sleep when she was 12 -- just about broke my heart
