Yes, I had a wireless keyboard and had my puter rigged so I could play in bed, but it really didn't work too well...the mouse was a problem...the laptops now are better for that...I just need to get some money somehow and buy one

No not really we change the menu alot, as people tend to stay with us more than a few times a year, so it is nice to change the menu regular, although i have made sticky toffee pudding today..lol

I did my good deed for the day earlier. Driving down to take pup out, and turn into a tiny lane that more people walk along than drive along. Man was there walking his very elderly golden retriever who was plodding along at snail's pace. Man looks worried, and I just stop and smile and turn the engine off and wait for about 3 minutes until Old Dog had passed by. Man was very grateful

I finally got the reults back on her IQ testing, they do it by grade levels she tested out at grade 2 I actually think it should be higher. She does show some savant qualities like she can remember phone numbers like no ones business.
I thought they would give me an IQ level but they dont do that. or perhaps she was not able to complete the tests enough for them to come up with one

i learned to read when i was 2. the first time i actually learned anything new in school was in third grade, when they put me in a fourth grade math class, and i was very upset at there being stuff my mom hadn't taught me yet. i had had no idea til then that the POINT of school was to learn things.

actually, it was funny, in 8th grade my mom went to a parent/teacher conference and was talking about how they should challenge me more, and it was team teaching so they were all meeting together, including whatever short-term class you happened to be in for that quarter. so the art teacher goes, "she gets all A's? then what's the problem?"

I think that, in real life, we are rarely age-grouped, shirlock. In history, it is only in the last couple hundred years in the industrialized nations that children are grouped by age and isolated from society.

My son does much better with kids older than him
but it doesn't help much to put a smart kid with older kids who happen to be at a later point - they soon catch up and they still then move at a faster pace than those around them.

I give my children a nominal amount for each academic A on report cards because it demonstrates (for them) a commitment to having done the homework. HOWEVER, they are both highly capable, and less than an 'A' in anything really does mean they aren't trying. If they were not so well matched as siblings I would not do such a thing.
my elder nephew is 10, and finds cursive difficult, and can barely write in it. He does not get marked down for that.
