I live at LEAST 2 hours away from that doc's office and don't want to take my recalcitrant hip to see someone who will need to consult with the M.D. anyway!

we read three over the summer... the scenic route, the magician's assistant and the abstinence teacher. I didn't really like the last at all. the scenic route was allright but not really all that good. magician's assistant was by ann patchett. not her best book, but I do like her style a lot

the problem for her is, ALL the schools were doing that, and she is older so finding something -- anything is unlikely. They will hire less experienced (cheaper) counselors first
something i have been promised won't happen in my district stid... but i can imagine if they have to make cuts, at some point they will keep one counselor for the two schools, which won't be nearly as effective..
yu mentioned that before stid, was surprised to hear these days that the counsellor would be gone...
NO. that's too many kids for a classroom, cross. that is rotten. At least our little school managed to keep the class sizes down.
