I enjoy watching birds and seeing new ones. I saw a starnge one, new for me, yesterday at the pond in the park. I studied it, and my sister who is not into birds did too, and when I got home and looked at my books I discovered it is a Little Bittern.
we have 7 different types of woodpeckers that visit our yard (we live near a nature preserve and a couple of lakes)

When our kids were little, we were fishing in a boat on a lake "Up North" (MN expression) and a Night heron came flying over us and grabbed the little sunfish my son just caught right off the line! It was really impresive!

We see great blue herons up close when kayaking--catching fish. Very cool. I saw a bald eagle when hiking a week ago.
not at all! We were all just amazed that a bird would get that close to us (in the middle of the lake) and that he would do that! One of our coolest memories from that trip!

We see a lot of bald eagles around this area too. I was driving my son to work last weekend (his car broke down on the freeway) and there was a bald eagle on a high light post overlooking a busy part of the freeway (which is under construction)
They are so big, those eagles.

They are beautiful. There is a spot along the Mississippi River about 50 miles south of the Twin Cities where they gather pretty much all year; but to watch 50 or 60 along that area in the winter, walking on the ice and fishing in the open water --it takes your breath away

I am considering the effects of something we had to do yesterday - cut down a dead pine tree in our yard. It was totally dead, really a danger, so it had to be done...

but it will definitely be a surprise to the squirrels who used to have a non-stop trail among the branches

Yes, on Sept 29th--a local, rural pediatric group, that I worked at from '88-'94. The practice has changed because the community hospital no longer has an OB Dept and the ER docs take care of kids. I got burned out and therefore left 15 yrs ago. Now it is perfect for me.

Hmmm, I think we're a bit south of the snake river... but I do know that there are some great fishing areas very close to us (i say this because my boyfriend sometimes rambles about them, as excited as a kid on christmas eve, using words like "hatch" and stuff.... and we've got a freezer full of trout he caught, some as long as my arm)

It's so beautiful up there... my parents, who have traveled the world ten times over (my mom has worked for the airlines since she was 20), came out to visit for the first time a couple of weeks ago... and despite the fact that they've been all over the far east, on safari in africa, to south america, etc, they were in awe of the tetons & yellowstone :-)
the mountains, like the sea, have a way of putting things into perspective ... we are so very small in their shadow

we try to get out at least once or twice in the summer blue, this year we did the Shoshone Geyser Basin in Yellowstone. We like to mountain bike so we do more of that in the summer than hiking! In the winter we ski a lot.

We've been through there several times since then, Blue; last time was in 2004 I think. We went through there 2 years after the fires and were amazed at the new grasses and flowers at that point
Our trip in 88 was during the fires. My son was so nervous he managed to mess up the mirrors on my SLR camera; but we were in the middle of the park when 1 big flash over occurred. It was scary and exciting and something we'll never do again
Well, according to the latest seismologists'/geologists' etc. estimates, it's due to blow up any day now... I probably won't feel a thing hahhahaha...

depends on the type of paint, and how many coats you put on them
you don't want the paint to be tacky or sticky

I got on the course kind of by accident, since what I wanted to study clashed with something else, but I've never regretted studying human biology and medicine, nor Latin.
Geography and topgraphy, which I missed out on, I've studied for myself later on in life.
But I did get to do art, art history and architecture, soomething else I'm glad I did,

If I told you all what that will cost, ou wouldn't believe me. I ned to write and publish at least 3 or 4 short stories to pay for it, Howeveer, since house is still owned by me and ny ex, he's paying this tiime.
