I just dropped in to Facebook for a minute and saw that Monkey's Walter got hit by a car and has a broken leg -- is in hospital having had successful surgery and she is staying in the room iwth him

sometimes it feels that way, jilli, but when I give it some serious thought, I have to realise that some minor virus isn't half as bad as a child with a broken leg and surgery. I am a blessed person, with all the love and good people that surround me.
My day was fine -- big windstorm here (and rain) -- flosey lost power for 5 hours but I was ok. All ferries have been cancelled and lots of people are stranded
But sprite, you get too many viruses
whew, that is some storm. Imagine a powerloss of 5 hours when you want to babble ;) I hope everybody is fine.
Oh yes -- her power came back in time for the flip.
I do, jilli. My resistance to illnesses is virtually non-existant. I hope the vitamin D3 that Scrabbler suggested will improve this, along with other things I am trying.
I hope they work really well, sprite. Enough is enough with being sick

my doctor says it is a kind of loop. I am always in a lot of pain and due to the ptss I am always in a state of nervous awareness. That eats away the energy. Then I get sick, hence less energy... etc.

that's a fun age.
An educated guess is that he is so much brighter than the other kids his age that he feels different in a way that he thinks is negative. Things will change for him. Depression never stays for life.
yes Bugs- He was having problems with a group project in class becasue he felt excluded... but his teacher is very in tune to the class
I love working with kids like him because I was like that when I was young too. I felt like a weird kid instead of a very intelligent kid.

Exactly Nef. You have such a good attitude. My Dad was born around Canadian Thanksgiving and died now. Because last year was so stressful during this time I had lots of anniversary memories too. i once went to a christmas eve midnight service where they had that idea about remembering those who went before - but they listed them all by name, and let me tell you, for a small church it was a very long list - there must have been at least 4x as many dead people on there as there were living people attending the service. it took like a half an hour to read all the names aloud. guess it just goes to show you can have too much of a good thing.
