One of the older vets once passed two elderly brothers standing waiting at the bus stop.

Here is a story that is why I tell my veterinarian that our jobs are so smiliar--I take care of animals too. 22 mo old boy had fingres in his mouth and he gagged. Parents were unsure if he swallowed something. Xray showed a 4.9 cm straight sewing needle in his stomach!

Hobbit is infamous at my vets as the dog who managed to swallow a lolly stick. I still can't understand how she swallowed something so long!
One of the exhibits in the x-ray hall of fame at our vets is the dog who swallowed a teaspoon.
The X-ray was am amazing thing to view! I sent the kid to the Children's Hospital--debate is what to do--scope him, slice him, or watch it pass. Latter option seems bad--risk of perforation!
