Coming back, I didn't know there were two ferries leaving at about the same time, and I got on the wrong one. Two hours later I was in a town far distant from my real destination, so I had to go back to the mainland (another two hours) and get the right ferry (an hour and a half) and then wait an hour and a half for the ferry to Salt Spring where a friend met me and then I had to drive home in the dark and patchy fog. Got here at about 10:15 pm instead of 4 pm.

I got my cell exactly for emergency use -- never even have it on usually and pay a very low rate for what they call "small talk".

It's a small site that has 10 different word puzzles each day, some are quotations, some are like scrabble
and they're timed
so they go really fast

It's $10 per year to join, but you earn "stars" every time you do well at a puzzle, and 100 stars gets you an extra day of subscription... I've earned an extra year
Babble and sudoku keep me pretty satisfied with game work
but I am hoping other people to join to make it more competitive
I see that you are a QP Superstar, N, which is no surprise to me. Nice.
yeah, I can't do sudoku any more... the numbers all blend together and it always feels like the same puzzle to me
QP is nice because the puzzles are different every day, and it's a very nice little group of people who play, and the 10 puzzles are each unique in terms of what the type of challenge is
I lost interest in Sudoku a long time ago--it just doesn't do it for me anymore

With 1 puzzle I "saw" the solution very quickly. But I dove right in after only skimming the instructions--Silly Scrabbler!
the best thing about QP for me is that I can get through all 10 puzzles in 30 minutes, though I will slow down on the last 2 (which are not timed the same way) if I have free time
I guess that I will have to set my alarm for 30 min earlier now.

are we talking about travelling in this weather??? My daughter left Ottawa yesterday for Stockholm and had an horrendous time. First her flight was delayde and she realized thatshe would miss her connection in Chicago. Then her flight was cancelled and they rerouted her through London... She waited 10 hours at the airport but just called me she was safe and sound!

the first number is how many letters and in the word. thats all you need to worry about. the other number is how many points its worth. that gets confusing though.
had to go back to Tsawwassen, autumn, then over to Swartz, then wait and hour and ahalf for the ferry to Salt Spring.
but each little section of like.. the el words and whatnot.. are in alphabetical order. but its nice that it tells you the first two letters of the words
