what does nbt mean?
Hello
nbt
No Blank tiles Sammy
hi Infernal
nbt too
thanks, and what does that refer to?
Lynxx you enjoying this cool change
Um it means that with the tile states all the tile states are filled in with one word
IR 4 6 7 5
herin dont you means stats?
Yes!
Yes I meant Stats sorry. Brain fried
i don't understand what that means -- all the tile stats are filled in with one word?
just wanted to clear that up so it made more sense its okay herin lol
sammy its just something they do you dont have to
you try to make a word using everying letter but only one word
heh i still dont get it, still would like to know though
maybe an example of what you mean?
tile stats are under the grid
Samm - it just means that you have got at least one word from each tile (if possible), doesn't score extra poiints or anything
NBT means there there is at least 1/x in every one
oh
ea 8 if not called
so people just say 'nbt' when they've got at least one word in each spot
nan do you mean a EA 7/8?
yes
some do, yes
yes it is a 7-8 combo
me, I'd rather concentrate on one tile at a time - to each his own
emergancy call
ne7, too, if not mentioned
thanks nan i was just putting it in as you called it
I did tonight sammy because I have never done it before. I can get most of them right away but then one or two letters just don't seem to have any words that I can see. Tonight it worked

I have her locked in her room now.

hi granny!
howdy granny
but two anagrams of it do work
was hoping to finish i's w/o list, but missing 2 I will never find...
have had bad news today....
hi rose
oh, no, what rose
oh dear, what?
remember just after my surgery i had a wound infection? well, apparently it has never cleared.
crap, so how do they treat it?
oh no rose, what now
whiuch is why i still have so much pain, back onto oral AB's, and seeing surgeon tomorrow, please pray that i don't have to be hsptalised for IV anti's
(saw that, pippin)
sure hope not, granny!
maybe if they are thinking iv anti, they might consider doing it at home with a nurse coming in to check...
and i thought it was all in my head!!! a relief in one way.
I will pray for no iv's though
missing one I - this is my list in 4,5,6,5,6,7,8,9,8,7,6,5,6 ir 4,5,6,7,6,5
at least it wasn't your imagination
yes, it would be a relief to know reason for pain that is not going away :)
I have 3 in 7's
dee, the anti's they would use are very painful. mother mac has MRSA in her lungs...
aww, didn't know that
in's start, 4, 5, 6, 7
Granny - just read your problem - hope they can sort it out quickly for you
200 down
i'm pretty sure that was in my wound swab back th4.
will think of you rose
anike, so do i...i was so looking forward to the island classic
fingers crossed, granny
it would explain so many things, the fluctuating temp., the sweats, the pain
of course! so it's really good that the little buggers have been found out and will be dealt with
We won't get there this year - going to world supers then Darwin. Might get to PI for Aust. Historic championships later in year
amen to that jili
i's finished
ty anike, mine too!
but th5 you go...i will beat this yet. i was so down, thinking that this is what i have to put up with for the re4 of my life, now th5 is some light at the end of the tunnel
you betcha, granny!
good morning everybody
and so glad they caught it before it was "raging on" or fully invested into the bone... the sooner the better
hello ruby
enough grizzling...and you are so right, dee. i have been thanking the Lord that it hasn't gone systemic
hi ruby
did they start you on anti's today?
granny, I've just come in to the end of your difficult news; I hope and pray they find the correct and not painful solution!
yes, dee, on oral anti's, but see the surgeon tomorrow, fortunately, the receptionist knows me ( same hospital i work at ), and sh4 going to slip me in.
fantastic
yup, i'ts not what you know, but who you know. LOL
at least you will find out quickly

nonsense, ru, you're in the speedster list now
I have slowed since those days, I am afraid

uh huh thats why I always finish in the afternoon jilli
not taking the words!
not taking the words!
not taking the words!
true
I'll be a dull normal forever
sorry for the reps, I don't know what happened....
never jili; you teach us so many interesting things! Stay exactly as you are.
speed doesn't matter really.. it is getting there that counts.
absolutely sure
well, ruru, that's what keeps the likes of me going
and when I chat, it takes me 4 times longer... so when here for social... you can't think about time
I think there should be different categories, just to make the statistics and rankings extra complicated. Speed merchants, slow but steady, clue assisted, non-clue assisted, spoonfed....
ditto to volley's comment
if it were rated on speed jilli we'd have to change the name of the game to dartabble
1st comment
Good morning/evening all. Nice grid so far.

ru - no, no need to panic!! All I meant was that Vegas is incredibly lucky to have such a celebrated figure as myself gracing its boundaries. ;D
I thot it said on facebook he was interviewing for a volunteer fire position
we all have our little ways
lol dachef.. I know.. just teasing
haz - back in around 2/3 months.
wow long trip; how lucky for you
good one dachef
Poor you! You'll miss the rest of the British winter. I'm sure you're really sorry about that, aren't you?
I haven't figured out morewords yet
well, I like to chat a bit too
type in 1st 2 letter and as many dashes as you are looking for
(nods head)
what's to figure out?
Really Ru - it's so easy, you should. Besides remember Haz gets kickback on all Babble users
or type in 2 or 3 or 4 letters with an asterisk and it will give you many, many choices
yes. I am really going to miss the sub-zero temperature and ice on the inside of the windows. Thats going to be tough to get over.
Poor dachef
Vegas is a great place to live if you are a baked potato
haz, saw an incredible aerial photo of england, scotland and wales...all completely white. is that true?
wow then haz is making a killing off me
Yes, granny, it was a white-out. That's what poor Dachef is having to leave behind.
granny - yup. Hahahahahahahahah......
I saw that too, granny
baked potato?
oh, poor dachef.
its been so hot today, just put some ice in hugo's waterbowl and he got a cube out and is now sliding it all over the tiled floor, has no idea whats going on
heading to bed.

bye ruru
nite all.. have a safe trip dach and have fun...
nite ruru, sleep well, mate
stay away from the hookers..
What sort of clothes have you packed, Dachef. The British man abroad has a sartorial standard to keep. Football shirt? Hankie for the head? No sun protection?
g'night ruru -- take care!
cheers ruru.
bye ruru
fell better ru; rest well
nite Ruru
Good night, ruru.

Hello, rolin. Like bull and ox and that sort of thing?

bye volley
awww, dee, nite , hun, hope you have a good one.
haz , it has taken up hours of my day and nearly sent me to the funny farm to beg them to take me in
Cowboy Neal
andree, did you try the doorbell?
lmao this is very similar to last night's chat ...
I started doing it, concluded that it was going to tip me over the edge. I've since cheated with google and found the completed puzzle.
hi ata!!!!
andree...i have rodeo off cowboy
Hello Ata. It's so funny, it's like seeing an epidemic taking shape.
ata did you start this???
i have that looking for the other
And dachef is at the airport - he's been through security and is about to be approached by a sniffer dog.
dc did!
I am confused, what game is this?
neal?
good morning, ata
funny farm, thought you were playing too lynxxx
funny farm, lyn -- I'm not going near it!
hi ata
Cowboy Neal - use both words, rodeo, horse, cow, humans at the bottom.
I tried the other game -- linx -- very frustrating
I am playing the ones with food and linx at the address ends. I am not recognising these words at all, must be another one
This is the same type of thing, lynxxx, starts off with a farm and ends up with baseball, poker stars, magicians, cocktails. HOURS of wonderful entertainment.
ok..cowboy neal makes no sense to me...i have cowboy
It has 25 segments to be filled in. Then you're probably directed to the 49er.
hours is the word, i could be days
is it bad that I'm having dificulty with the cocktails, but the drugs one is much easier
Cowboy Neal is above holy cow.
haz, is it with the same url at the beginning?
haz, what's the really long cocktail, above right of the middle?
http://shygypsy.com/farm/p.cgi
thx haz that worked, what ever does it mean
I'm not sure, jillibus, there's a funny-farmappspot one andthere's shygypsy. Both maddening.
CowboyNeal is one word somehow
Let me find the cocktails.
ty!
I shoudl ask FM really LOL
in the religions i am missing the 5 across the top
Whereabouts on the cocktails?
Flaming Lamborghini
ahhhh ty!
i haven't reached the cocktails
Found the 3rd game. Thanks.
The Police, Radiohead at the very top, Andree.
OK, I've saved it in Bookmarks for another time, silly me!
There's also Karma Police which links them.
oh good lord ive got onto magazines
I wonder how many babblers are currently working on it?
fireworks
Congratulations, dart?
Congrats Dart!
yay dart
YAY dart!
how did FM know all these cocktails?
That's the question. A misspent youth.
gonna run...morn shift today....bye all
Either that or she's been working as a cocktail waitress on the sly.
Bye dart.
bye dart
or both
bye haz jilli poooof
WTG DART!!! and goodnight

Possibly. She may well have invented some of them and that's how she's made her millions.
quite possibly. she does have dodgy connections
Very. We're her only good influence.
wow. never been called a good influence before
Does it not make you feel warm inside?
Hi all, back for a while. 127 to go
Hello rumple.
suds
hi again rumple
OOps! Slap on the wrist.
yes, but that could also be the cocktails
As long as it's not the drugs....
not this early in the morning
It's probably the residue from the epidurals. They told me not to sign any legal documents for 24 hours.
There's a relief.
hmmm so what else do I know abotu lamborghinis, one wonders?
Oh boy, I wish I had one. A Murcielago in grinch green.
It connects to 'Microsoft' via a Japanese car manufacturer and a word meaning sight (think scenery, kind of)
59 left and bedtime -- g'night all you crazy people :)
Goodnight, jillibus. Sleep well.
oooh thats clever...how holy cow connects into religion...lol
<shaking head> *poof*
I know, some of the connections are quite funny, others just make you scratch your head.
(Jillibus is probably not going to bed at all, she's going to start funny farm)
ok...can you link cowboy neal to karma???
ooo that's a strange one something '70 something
I am NOT! well, not now . . .
It's the name of a TV programme, I think.
gotta go - starting to get some funny looks. I think Servisair might be onto the fact that I am blatantly stealing their wi-fi. Byeee!!
But you'll not be able to resist, jillibus. Just you wait, it's all they'll be talking about at bridge.
*repoof*
ohhh. wonder what that's got to do with microsoft
Bye Dachef - bon voyage!
Not a direct connection, names of people connect it, never heard of them myself.
hmmm will leave that one till later I think and get on with the grid
haz the connection to book, is it a title or what?
Spoken like a true babbler.
Let me look, is this still in the farm segment?
i mean the one pointing down
its in the tv host segment
Whereabouts is it in the map grid?
hi all
that one isn't as good. there are too many things that are very subculture specific.

Hi Ata
Hi Andree
Well, I've been in and out of the grid all afternoon but I have finally finished. Fireworks.
silverclaw keps demanding my attention
Rose...the ankle will continue to heal OK even with this infection?
congrats Anike
That's unlike Sily isn't it?

Off to get dinner now - happy babbling.

Rose let me know if you need anything I am free
Is that a treat for her Ata? or part of regular diet
herin, will let you know
Good Rose Good
well ... she'd never had any till yesterday, and I used it in making my dinner, put the empty plate down on the floor and she *fell* on it, licking every scrap of the coconut ilk up. So apparently we have now found her Favourite Thing In The World
awww Ata too cute.
will you know by tomorrows chog rose or will there be a wait for results
it must be good for her ata
My cats like curried sausages (no onions).
no idea! but someone else here said there their cats always love coconut, so I guess it's a weird cat thing
ata...have you done the magazines square??
not much of it, no!
hummff.. and i have no idea how im gonna get from jesus to poker stars..lol
oh! I know that one
Hello again. Funny farm consultant to the slowly going mad....
there's a poker star whose nickname is jesus
i have started it rolin
and comic book are WAY beyonf my ken
chris ferguson
mmm Google cats and coconut - seems it good for cats & dogs and cures many things. who knew
okay, dinner ready, with minimal help from me. :). see you at the flip
omg...whos chris feruson..back to google for me..thats the only way i fiolled in around cowboy neal
HI Haz. Beyond help here and Hi Rolin
bye rose
The banking and world economic crisis didn't happen because the bankers were greedy. They were all playing funny farm and forgot to pay attention.
* poof *
hey herin
i thin k youre right haz
thx ata that got me to the poker page, something i know nothing much about
ROse call me if you need
I think we've finally found FM's get out clause. She's no longer to blame for everything, it's funny-farm.
clu for the first ti5/12 please
but she's to blame for that
if she is doing so well on it she must somehow be to blame
ti5/12 - not listed yet, but hopefully it's the right one, a metal, then a baby's bed minus the vowell (or camp bed)
exacly
she probably put DC up to it
I'm sure she did
You're right, Andree. FM probably set the whole thing up, got DC to suck us in and there you have it. The downfall of civilisation as we know it.
and back to blaming FM, as it should be
They'll make a film about it some day. We can get Dachef to write the screenplay.
over on the religion page...theres a long link upward from pig....does anyone have that word?
Haz has every word. she cheated
TY Haz, that was it
The Police.
the pilice>??...lmao
cat! decide where you want to be and stay there!
Haz has declared that to avoid madness she googled until she got the answers. This way I can help the weary, the huddled masses...
Glad it was the right one, rumple.
Haz is very sensible
wosset is a word
And I can avoid going mad because I couldn't possibly get all the answers.
as is resnow
ive already gone mad...so...
Then we're here to support you in your madness, rolin. (Saidin soothing font)
ty haz... a support at all times..
and laugh
My rules for helping are that I won't give answers unless I am asked and unless you are prepared to set up a Paypal account and drip feed me money.
We can work out a sliding scale of charges based on just how close to the edge you are.
lol...well i have google feeding me the names of up until now...totally unknown..(to me).. poker players...
Let's jut hope that somebody somewhere isn't thinking that because you're all googling drugs and poker stars, your life is going to pot. Watch out for funny emails.
lol....good point..esp. for someone who cares for vulnerable chn..
I'd have a few weeks off work just to be on the safe side
I know! They'll be giving you funny looks if you start talking about drugs and cocktails.
Yes, take the time off work to get the puzzle finished.
ok..ok..so maybe ill stick to just talking about the farm... (funny farm is starting to sound less and less ironic)
the game is named quite well
Whoever thought up the name knew what they were doing.
can you believe people have made $12M playing poker??
And the thing is, there's no chat log for people to warn you off. I mean, here when a new person appears, we all mutter half-hearted phrases like 'addiction' and 'think again'. Over there, nothing. Silence, just the rushing of the blood through your brain for company.
but newbies never believe us anyway
I know. They laugh lightheartedly and think 'how hard can this be?'
*sigh*....its true...
They think 'I have a great vocabulary, these people are obviously dolts. Stand back and watch.'
a mate of mine told me about babble 3 years ago...he cant believe i still play
Love bable
yep!
Not even when you talk about crwth and etuis and etna?
I shall show them with my super word powers! hey wait! flobble is a word! this sucks!
You can always tell the new people who get frustrated quickly because they call enable all sorts of names.
What kind of words are these? The dictionary is clearly sub-standard!
and nene
I am watching Murphy's Law. Not bad at all
Is it the one with James Nesbitt?
and they STILL allow yob...but not hoon..
and the oldies who just grin wryly and carry on
I wacthed Law and Order for the first time last night
INtents is a word. how do you go camping if you are not intents?
mmmm...james nesbitt
I know, Ata, we just grin and bear it, don't we? Okay, now and again we have a moan but it gets us no further.
not in the grid, herin
Funny thing is I understand the accents better than my parents
James Nesbitt has kept his accent beautifully.
hes a brilliant actor
In Jekyll and Hyde or whatever it was called, he was quite clever in changing his N Irish accent depending on which character he was playing.
there is NO way im gonna get anything on the comic book page...
The scientist was more educated sounding, the rough character had a kind of streetwise Belfast accent.
most of them are quite obvious, rolin. batman, spiderman, x-men etc
oooh ill have to look out for that haz..
(Rolin, don't forget that I have all the answers, there is a way. 50p per name?)
lol... ill have to start saving haz...
Thank you Haz. I was wondering my self were I had seen him
but for now i have to get myself to work...to pay for haz's bribe money...see you all later...
It was on last year, rolin, I'm not normally one for that kind of thing but his acting was excellent. I was truly frightened!
bye rolin
See you later, rolin.
what's an appropriate bribe amount?
Yes, herin, he was the main character in it.
There's a sliding scale, ruby.
It's based on just how close you are to tearing out hair.
is that like the slippery slope?
FM gets to pay 5 times as much as anyone else
I was scratching my brain thinking of it. I did like Jeckle and Hyde.
Yes, slippery slope, thin end of the wedge, the beginning of the end.
James N was in Cold feet too, wasn't he?
Yes, that was his first big break.
Yep
He's one of the patrons of the cancer charity I do some fundraising work for. The people there hold him in very high regard, always willing to do things for them and very down to earth.
what a nice man!
aww
His early days were spent not far from here, his father was headmaster of a primary school and then they moved a bit further away.
another ballymena claim to fame
Some day I'll probably bump into him and Liam Neeson strolling down the street in Ballymena. We're home to the stars, you know.
just make sure George is with you when you do
I'd be beating the women off with a stick.
By the way, where's FM?
you could use Ian Paisley for that
busy drinking cocktails
safer to keep him hidden under the stairs haz
I think she's making up a HUGE version of funny farm. World domination is in her sights.
Ata they have bought out the new DR Who box set 1 - 4 seasons
I know, George doesn't like this cold weather at all. He's been asking for hot water bottles and everything.
Liz!
I watched University Challenge last night. Some contestants need their hands tied behind their backs, that's all I'm saying.
Morning all. 2nd attempt!
haz just throw me one of the words that comes off paper please
just shove Spangle in ther ewith him
gm lizmac
Good morning!
hi liz
Chris DID say it didn't go so well, he didn't say they got slaughtered!!!
Which segment are you on, Andree?
hI lIZ
But have they not got another chance? I can't follow these new rules at all.
Better luck next time (but probably not as they've only one game left to be televised)
Yes, there's a bit of a clue there, liz. Still, if they can do a bit better it would help their confidence.
No Haz, I don't get the rules at all, I'd have thought that once you lost a game, that was it.
Oh good, glad I'm not the only one to be confused. It's as if they're lengthening out the process just for the sake of it.
bottom middle and the one above is magazines, have nothing off mad which is fast sending me that way
hurray! my new wellies just arrived
We recorded the prebvious rounds, so at least we have a record of them drubbing others!!
I'll have a look, Andree.
I tried to watch it by my mother decided to phone nearly all of the way through it
Paper - scissors, rock, origami
Yes, it's not as if they hadn't been good in other rounds.
That phone numbers one had me thoroughly confused.
You can tell they do more texting than I do.
i so hate texting, takes me forever
mad hatter, tea party, tea ceremony Japan.
and Fireworks!
see you later
I am going. Later.
Well done, Merk!
yay merk
Anyway, better get well wrapped up and off to do some light shopping. Phone numbers one confused me too, thought I'd got it then realised I hadn't. Bye the noo.
Bye herin and ruby.
texting is easy on my phone *smug* cos it has a proper keyboard
Bye liz, wrap up warm.
That's cheating, Ata!
yep!
and my new wellies are soooo lovely
What colour?
ty ... fun grid today
It is indeed, Merk, very civilised so far.
normal boring green. though officially the colur is bronze. i dont get that
Nary an unfamiliar word in it and lots of babblets.
5th and 6th from the end wo6/30 and 7/44
thx haz, now am going to close this computer till tomorrow, don't think i have ever spent a whole day on it before, bye all, happy babbling
now I can live in them cos they are nice and warm and neoprene lined
Make a verb from the adjective (wo5/18) for those two.
Bye, Andree. Are your eyes square?
Poor little Hugo. He's probably had to learn bladder control today.
Haz I think I have those. I need the last 2 wo 6 and 7's
Sorry, I haven't gone to the list yet and I don't think I have the right ones for you.
there's the wo5/18 + another letter too, and then plural. fabrics? maybe
There are a couple that run together the wo5 with a word associated with tennis (play a number of games to make a ***) and then plural.
I got there first :P
I bet she gets it from my clue.
probably!
You're not meant to admit defeat that soon!
I've tried all those. I have all the wo's down to the last 5
I mean 6, one is wo6/30 and the other is wo7/44
I have the first pair.
Then the second pair just changes the last letter to another consonant and then plural.
It has the little alien ending, rumple.
-oidling
I'm sorry,i have those too. It's the next pair
rumple, there only are two wo7/44.
Do you mean the wo5/18 that is the least good it can be and its plural?
the ones that sound like sausages
Zees wu*** is zee wo5/18 I hev ever tasted! (read in German accent for full effect)
yes, them :)
the wo5/18 wu*** even!
Gees, you're right, it's the middle wo6/30 just before those 2 that I am missing. There are 3 wo6's right together
plural Rumple
There's a plural and a doubtful comparative. Being more wo5/18.
TY TY, slap me. I think it's because it's 5 in the morning and I have been at this since 2:30. Better go to bed and finish in the morning. Have 7 left.
Glad you got it, rumple. Sleep well and those 7 will leap at you in the morning.
g'nite Rumple
Right, I'd better do some e-mails for husband. Honestly, how am I supposed to do babble, act as funny farm consultant, AND do his secretarial work?
outrageous demands!
I'm starting to get overwhelmed, what with my morewords and Paypal responsibilities as well.
I'll have to hire a PA soon.
multi talented, probably got cakes in the ovens as well
I would if I was you
In the meanwhile, I'd better do what he asks. That garage is still there and he could always make me sleep out there... bye for now!
bye dear!
*gone*
bye Haz, have a good day
I should go and be productive too. Even if productive means carrying on with Davros
have fun! bye
*long-suffering sigh* utterly bored of this pic now!
are you still stuck inside the house?
yep :P
Make a list of things you either want to do or need to do, close your eyes and stick a pin in it.
good idea. I'll go and do *something* anyway :)
bye Ata
morning, all -- man, some of those wo's seem pretty iffy! LOL
hi Une - agreed!
today's my precious daughter's bday -- 33! :-)
had a great chat with her last nite -- longtime boyfriend has been busy in kitchen making something mysterious, and friends are treating her to dinner tonite :-)
Sounds like she has a good life, well done you
she's a wonderful person :-)
lynxxx, a good friend of mine has your icon on her coffee mug :-)
gm everyone!!
Cute isn't it, been around for years.

My onion is doing quiet well today, thank you
good morning all
hello again
I like this grid but still can't get much more than half!
bonjour, oodle
it's probably obvious, but I can't see the sh8/9 combo
sh8/45 is the filmiest fabric
don't have the 9
ty esprit
yw
oh-have that, thanks, but not the 9. Assumed it would be related, but I guess not.
I wonder if its a compound
related - end in the loch monster. Hi - just passing thru to archive to get some funny farm clues
ah! Thanks!
tks, lynxx
I tried the site yesterday lynxx, but couldn't get in even after registering with google. Couldn't find any explanation about how to play and clikcing did nothing to activate things.
could you give me the link again please?
hello everyone
hi westford
http://shygypsy.com/farm/p.cgi
morning west
hi ruby ooh look you have an icon!!
good morning eva
That was the funny farm link Eva, I didn't register or anything, just worked for me...I'll do the word one next

I'll be back again someday
hi west
good morning everyone:)
morning crossy
thanks lynxxx-looks like fun. Any hints about how to play. I get that things with lines are connected thematically. Anything else?
good morning everyone
gm flos
you are up early
hi kj, yes, far too early, will have to have a nap
and how are you kj?
Eva. Just started the funny farm one - seems obscure and hard. Prefer the word one, think of compounds or common phases. Try out paper and elephant to get you going and so you can see what it does
Hi/Bye - just passing through again
how do I get to the word one? And what do you mean about paper and elephant?
doing well flos... staying warm
are you having a cold spell kj?
Eva: see 6.23. You should come in with White in the centre
we are well adjusted here now at about minus 7 c,supposed to stay at or near there all week
we were in the mid to high teens for several days, but we are back up now in the 40s
that's a reasonable winter temp then crossy?
for this time of year,it is the best we can expect
is that cold for Tx then kj?
teens is cold for dallas
40s are average this time of year
have only seen the inside of Ft.W/Dallas airport kj - and that was late at night - flight was rerouted from Toronto to Nevada, through NY, Ft.W, - too forever, especially after sitting in the airport for several hours before we could even get out of TO
***don't know what that forever is doing in there**
that is a ridiculous rerouting!
ah, took forever!
yes, it was but normally went thru Chicago and it was snowed in
clues for the u's other than the aisle boys?
that's all I have yet kj
us5/6= us+ 3/4 of a close word.....
got them, us + like sleep disorder
and plural
ty movie
yvw kje
like your icon movie - funny
need a clue for tr8, please?
ta kje.....it's a Hitchhiker's logo
how was that movie? I couldn't get into the book
no idea flos, but will look
i was opposite,i loved the book, but the movie was impossible
The movie was cool, especially Martin Freeman as Arthur
made me want to carry a towell around for a while
And a blink-and-you'll-miss-it cameo from the original Marvin
no idea flos
tks kj, will leave it for a while
and only by reading the book can you enjoy the subtle variations of gin and tonic/djinn and tonnix, gynn un toonixs, etc
my sentiment exactly flos
flosey - think about how elmer fudd might say another word for pants
And the Pan Galactic Gargle Blaster
indeed
Hi Gang
howdy hego;)
tr8= men's lower garments spelt wrongly
ty, got it lady
thanks lady
yw
lynxx-I got to the white page. Is there any difference in the rules or is it just that each one has a different word in the middle?
ty movieman
yw cross
lynxx-figured it out. Thank you!

ah, thanks hego

And so early in the day! I'm impressed.

and now back to bed! be back again at fliptime
hi everyone
Go Ibergo. ;-)
((Oodles))
clues for the 9s plz
We should have asked Flosey before she left MM
sh9 - the quality of being thin/nearly transparent (ie, tights)
sh9 - continuation of sh5
woohoo 50%
thnks 17 :)
ty city
in9 - one who is imprisoned (double vowel ending)
ty City and Flosey.
yw

Well, thanks for passing them on.
TY all, got Fireworks. Got to go now. Bye
mornin babblers!
Morning Eva! I have a horrible drag on Babble this morning!
Good morning, all. I got the drag too, car.
Hi you two. I've had that for 2 days now.
i dont have a drag entering words. is there a drag on the chog?
Both
I have word drag.
strange. no word drag at all for me.
Must be sun spots or something.
BRB, gonna grab breakfast!
ok I don't see the in9
gm everyone, drag here as well
Oodle. it's a guy in prison
HI Sea
plural
????
Add vowels onto in7
I mean 6
In9: Hospital trainee. Unpaid worker - one who is gaining experience by hands on doing.
ty!
I think that's 6 & 7 , Judi. Or not?
Extend it for the 8 & 9
You should be able to get a 5, 6, two 7, two 8's and a nine from that.
Yup
Throw in some plurals and some extra vowels.
Milked that one to death, they did. :-)
never heard of that meaning
Did you get it then?
yes
by judi's clue... because imprisoned did not help
Time to go. Later friends.
bbye hego
Oh, :-(
bye hego
That was the clue I got earlier. Oodle. Really Bye. Poof
nest
pb for me
Off you go then, SeaSpray. Think I saw some Jello in there.
what, no chocolate?
For a four letter word, you only get Jello.
:-)
lol, i promise to do better
Had that been a nine letter gaff, you would have a lady fingers and a chocolate fountain to dip them in.
wow!
Clue for an 6/18 please?
goes with liabilities car
? I have a word like that but it is an AS 6/18
oh sorry, i am not awake yet, you are correct
No worries!
{passes SeaSpray a cup of coffee}
*lobs jello cube at SeaSpray*
mmm, ty
hey, i have jello in my coffee now!
Oh, jeez. Now Starbucks will probably steal my idea.
and charge big bucks for it
"Esprello Shooters"
lol
Shall we try en 7?
Great name!
you are quick this morning judi lol
coffee for kids...
Just what kids need.
Probably a bust idea. I don't think coffee can gel.
it can - people make expresso jellies and stuff for dinner party desserts
I had no idea! Ata - your cat looks cute all tucked in like that.
she was a very happy warm girl!
ata -- stay up all night with the farm? ;)
I'd put a duvet on her chair, and she snuggled all into it :)
not quite!
My husband just bought a memory foam dog bed for our husky. The cats are enjoying it as well. Like they don't have enough soft cushy places to loaf on.
awwww wow!
The cats were actually fighting over it last night. Although it is large enough to accomodate them both.
I would have thought that memory foam is too hard for cats to squoosh into
It's not about comfort to them. It's about a new surface to claim and make others jealous.
true!!
Spoiled little wankers.
little monsters :)
Clue for us 5/12 please?
NM! Just got it!
Share, please.
America initials + not far but ***r
us + National Environment Agency
Ah. Ty.
Okay. Time for more coffee. (Not of the jellied variety). BBL.
byeeee judi
hmmm. I stepped away for coffee and my lag has gone away....yayyy!
yay!
jmitch - lag jumped to me!
sorry. maybe a certain # of us have to suffer w/ it every day. Yesterday & today was my turn
i tell the kids they must share
sten
lovely doggy, jmb
ty - Jack is my 100 lb. doberman - now deceased.
I'm sorry :(
he was my big velcro dog!
awwwwwwwwwww
velcro dog. that says a lot so well
yes - most dobies i know are velcro dogs... unless trained otherwise.
I've never really known one, I'd like to though
I have a semi-velcro cat. She doesn't like to be snuggled, but try and get her more than a metre away from me and she screeches
cart are like that sometimes - they love from afar
er cats
she can even get 2m away from me, on occasion. btu that's a rare occasion lol
my cat sleeps on my chest & neck - his love can be sufficating at times
lol sounds familiar :)
Good Mornig People. How's the grid today (besides big)?
my old cat used to flop down on my head and try and suffocate me *facepalm*
like your kitty!
ok, nef
Just okay? How are YOU today then?
bored of sn4!
LOL! I'm tired of below zero temps (F); so the weathermen say we will be in the 20's for a week (during the daytime, back down to zeros at night)
urf. I just want to be able to *go* somewhere
How much sn4 do you have?
here
not much by your standards! between 6" and a foot, but that's enough here to screw the entire transport network over the country
OOOPS! Sorry!
Haven't been able to use the car for over a week now :( Hi Ata and Nef
FM!!!
(that made NBTs for me; I got excited)
Hi FM!
LOL Nef
phne back in a bit.
Hello all
We had a bunch of sn4 over Christmas; then had rain after that -which froze- so my daughter's convertible is under about 2 feet of frozen icey sn4 and the drive is plowed in. If this nice weather holds, maybe we can get her car out this week (by "we" I mean HER!)
Hi Scrabbler, Hi Babblers!
hi Scrabs and Aloy!
How is sunny Florida, Aloy? Warming up?
hi scrabs! hi bunnies!
brrr, Scrabbler... slowly but yes.. lots of crops are lost; the polar air mass that swept down set record low temps here
The bunnies are quiet now. Miss Bea sleeps under the sofa all day.
awwwww is it warm under the sofa?
have the sn4 conditions been good for x-c, Scrabbler?
Bunnies like to hide, burrow, be protected, as they are prey animals.
duh. that makes sense!
Tons of sn4!! Cross-country skiing was perfect on Sunday--packed powder. And Santa gave me sn4shoes for Christmas and I have been enjoying trekking in the woods.
great to be able to get out in the sn4 instead of feeling cabin fever
Ata--go to FB, if you can
Speaking of bunnies, the rabbits in the neighborhood are feasting on my burning bushes out front
hello all, just got back from cataract surgery but I am playing Babble!!
You can spray your bushes with "Liquid Fence" and the bunnies will leave them alone, Nef. Only thing is.. the L. Fence is expensive
Works vs. bunnies and deer
hi peri.. that's the spirit!
modern medicine IS amazing, isn't it peri? I remember DH's grandmother having to lie with sandbags holding her head still for 3 days --IN hospital!
taking a break from packing up the christmas stuff.... morning all.
but I an bit addicted :-)
Good for you peri!
Speeking of snow, bunnies and dee, check out my icon pic this morning
hello everyone
hi mom2 and Bugsaw
*deer
I remember after my MIL had the surgery... she was pain-free and happy as a clam that she did it!
\meant to say tht I am NOT addicted

I can agree with the thin spot and grey... not completely bald yet...

i have had to increase the strength of my diopters!
well when I first started I think I was almost all grey
personally I like white instead of grey... looks more regal
but you ever notice, that the odd time when it is not working,we dont know what to do with ourselves?
and you are blaming all your hair loss on Babble? then you should be sitting on your hands between words, oodle!
ahhh you are assuming I am using my hands

showing my age in what way
en 7; the act of being very inspired for somehting
Hate to say it but the first people to have that idea I think was the Brits in Souyth Africa
I was implying that people who lived through WWII would know about those in 9 camps
Well this was in the Boer War I dont want anyone implying that I was alive then!!!

*looks in the trash for a new brain*
anyone there?
buried deep in the grid, oodles
yup
hi all
hi nrkii
have you noticed that once we see a new babble word, or a very odd babble word, it tends to show up more than once in a short period of time?
an6 18... never saw it before last week... now it's back
not me cause I don't see it right away
hi nrkii. I thought *I* was the only one who felt that way!
we have had it before... but yeah, that is a funny phenomenon in general mrk
i mean nrk
i have 9 to go... to list, or not to list, that is the question.
must have shown up on one of my days off... :)
17 here, and I just started listing... no patience today
my rule is, when my patience is gone, I list
what does it mean please
are you going alphabetically?
I go in tile order, until I list
i know but some people go reverse alpha once they list
no, I usually go a to z once I list... I think I used to go reverse, before lickety's list
an6 means same as an5... just old english version of it
well, if you happen to have a guess as to which A i'm missing, i'd be much obliged.
oodle, weird def.
tough to guess... none of the A's are that tricky other than that an6
how about ar6 -- do you have that?
i have a plural ar6...
you are missing comedian ar***i* hall
ah no you mean the greek for male
got it
that leaves one E and one O, 2 R, 2 S, 2 T
rh6?
indeed, i need that.
me too :)
monkeys, ppl!
i'm sorry i don't think of the monkeys that fast!!!
I fired my monkeys a few days ago
we can't all be zoologically oriented!!
:)
not typing monkeys, monkey monkeys
monkeys used in exeriments - Dr. Sachs used their kidneys to make the first polio vaccines
monkey monkeys, not monkey monkeys?
LOL, no I got it, was just explaining why I didn't get it
i thought it was Salk
Did someone mention my name? Oh, no, as you were. Evening all.
fireworks!
polio vaccine. did a Sachs follow up on the work of Salk?
ni 5 please
Yay nerky!
congrats nrkii
ni5glycerin
Ewww, just found the unmentionable du words.
Oops meant Salk sorry
ni5 = explosive material
ty
Jonas Salk
Sachs is a neurologist....my bad
you are going to lose your reputation as a science geek that way, sciencegeek
hurshy, do you have th4/6?
Oh well. so be it.....
therefore equivalent? yeah.
*Jumps up and down* EVENING ALL
what are you still missing now?
hi sally!
HI SALLY!!!
:-)
2 T and 2 S, 1 E 1 O 1 R
1-1-3-2 by length.
Silly question from a beginner: How do you know there is ofr example th4/6?
either because you've found it or bc you're using a list.
The first one, I could guess my self:-)
there is a clue list - link on bottom "Licketey's Clues"
or because you're psychic
well, it doesn't get mentioned often enough.
hurshy, perhaps ti5/12? or th6/21? do you have both of those?
Ahhh! A clue list!
plural numbers?
there's an sa6 sa7 combo that might be a good candidate too
no, not plural numbers ata, a different th6 that starts with "not now"
for missing R's, I would guess rh4, or re 6/30, perhaps?
Hello again
oh - ones that you need? im just confused today
hi scrabs!
Atalante, I'm trying to guess what Hurshy is missing
Hi scrabs!
but Hurshy has disappeared...
Hi again Ata! Did you have a nice walk with Hobbit?
nrkii - ti5/12 could be a *****ure of iodine
(((Scrabs))) Long time no see.
Hi Scrabs
hi Scrabs
was about to look you up on FB.
lol we got half way round the field before she vanished into a snow drift
Tor, just noticed your congrats below. Thanks! Still suffering with that 75-degree sunny weather out there?
anyone got a clue for the re6/30?
the first one...
Hi N. I have given up on Triple Letters, or whatever that is, and Scrambled Word--the 5 x 5 grid---those stump me SO much. My brain cannot do those puzzles.
suffering??
re 6 30 = to deny
or to hook up to an electrical source again
to lay down seeds again (re6/30)
great - thanks nrkii - sometimes the more obvious ones completely elude me
Awww scrabbs, don't give up on them... give in to them! :)
...not been here in sevreal days, in a blue funk...maybe more like black
Scrabbler, how are the bunnies?
{{{SCRABBLER}}}
Bunnies are adorable
I'm so sorry to hear that Scrabs
I missed you.
Tucker was running around doing head tosses and bronco flips earlier
awwwww
i missed the big green bunny
:-)
why was Gandalf named Gandalf?
rh4 was right on - sorry that work called me away!
He is grey!
i have the ti5/12 that someone clued thinking you were looking for a clue, and the th6/21 that is a plural number.
And LOTR movies were out so I was into that
Harry Potter character?
my S's are not a combo, most likely, as one is from the top left and one is from the right.
th6 = not now + pirate syllable (short version)
Gandalf the Grey = LOTR wizard!
yay, T's and R's done
awwwww :) cute cute
Oh, yes, I knew it was familiar. So cute.
what's left Hursh
Hushy, that's a big deal.
for a minute i missed the bunny thing and thought ata was going to explain tolkein's linguistic reasons for coming up with the name Gandalf...
those two separate S's, E, and O.
you dont want to go there lol
1 5, 2 6, 1 7
lengths?
maybe i do want to go there - and i'm SURE you do, lol
e h
re
en7 or se7, most likely
hi dorens
se7 is odd pl of adj, yes?
se7 = female se4
en7 to gush over, yes?
she 6/21 please
Hi everybody . Scrabbler - good to see you :)
and en7 is to gush appreciatively
hi soodlebum
NM
the short version of a more common larger word
Gandalf started as a name for a dwarf in the 'Völuspá', part of the Poetic Edda. Tolkien then nicked it
Hi Soodle
Soodle!
female se4??? hmmmm
It means "wand elf" in Old Norse
hi all.
visionary
How are you Dorens?
TY, Ata
the poetic edda? is that the really really really old thing? what century?
thanks nrkii!!
i am good nrk... just great.. and you?
13th century
ty nrkii
i have 3 each ON and OS, and 1 OW
before my time
so... 1 5, 2 6, E, O , S
correctamundo.
ow5 add to ow4
I'm good Dorens
ah thanks, tried pl but not that.
2 6's then! top E and top S
E6 + S6
et6 perhaps hurshy... fuel
or gas
or alcohol... who knows
*sees that nrkii has not noticed her last post*
An alkene
ah... sorry... er6/30... before this time
and i'm sure ata knows exactly how to define the et6 and would love to be smug by telling us
thanks!
point total?
i have a busy evening with two meetings and hopefully a little gym time... not a good day for me to see a large grid... hope it's friendly
for the grid?
it IS friendly dorens.
I was smug
3698
anytime you see a medium-large grid with me playing GWHIM, then you know it's friendly.
thanks scrabbler, now I have to go look up alkene :)
so it's a 6/18 for the s.
ata, watch out, scrabbler's gunning for your smugness crown!
GWHIM?
Guess What Hurshy Is Missing
Alcohols end with -ol. Then there are alkanes, alkenes, enols, esters...organic chemistry!
I've had the alkene for *hours* LOL *smug*
ah!! look at scrabbler showing off
well so have i but i couldn't have told you it was an alkene.
i found it! a normal word!
YAY, Scrab is back in the clue groove!
alkenes have a double bond
Actually, organic chemistry is touhg--lots of memorization and the primary weed-out course for pre-med students
yes, i recall all my friends complaining about orgo back in the day at williams. i sensibly stuck to easy classes.
I've had to take it also Scrab.
fw!
I loved org chem
I enjoyed it but it was tough.
i know o chem is the class most recommended for premed students to take in the summer ... alone, with no other courses
i had one friend who got terrible grades in that stuff but was pre-med, and did great in english and so forth. we tried to convince him that maybe being a doctor wasn't the way to go, but he persisted and is now a pediatrician.
count to eight
but we start org chem way before pre-med level
That is a not uncommon strategy
Have fun see u tomorrow
1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8
Bye SG
do i win a prize for following directions???
At 84/185 I must take off. I have 2 errands to do then I will spend the afternoon and evening with Mary's kids.
Bye, Scrabs, good to see you.
awww fun
enjoy them scrabbs
I almost did the same thing, hurshy
scwabby! :)
I think she's poofed
Did I miss the er 6/30 clue?
hello everybody
howdy ruby
hi ruby and ruby!
we have icicles formed at 30 degree angles; I've never seen that before
I thought they had to be absolutely vertical
Hi ruby
hello sally and ata and cross
may I have a scientific explanation, pls?
ive seen them on a angle many times due to windy conditions
wind direction
ruby i guess it was a windy day
snap ata
;)
that's what I thought except 1) it wasn't windy and 2) they are in a sheltered part of the garden!
Have to go and cook. Back later.
I took photos
hi ruby. You have crooked icicles? There had to be a wind (or breeze) or the weight was heavy enough to have bent whatever they were hanging from (and the icicles are lighter than the weight of the water?)
nature is a marvelous and interesting thing sometimes
ahhah, it must be because they are on rather soft pine trees which must have bent with their weight. I didn't think of that
a lot of times the icicles can be hollow (from the flow of the water), so they weigh less than the weight of the water that formed them
it's the first time I've seen any icicles here; we've had more snow in the last 10 days then in the previous 3 years put together
Hi all just popping in to see if anyone has some spare huskies
fresly back from the used bookstore;) nothing finer than a stack of yet to be read novels;))))
would chow chows do?

Not being able to get out and about is the worst feeing after the first couple of days.
FM. mastered the farm?
Does RE 8/40 relate to the re 7/28 before it? I am just not seeing it!
We have had all that, just got moving again and now its snowing heavier than ever FM
ruby i did not get you mail, you can also send to chipdip33@hotmail.com if you wish

What is that game about FM ? I looked at it today and wasnt sure what I had to do
Nope not me Ata, she was probably casting aspersions again ;) _ know what you 2 are like.
Just like ar 5/10 but change the first letter to E
that's outrageous. bad haz
cait - don't it is hellish and once you start you are compelled to keep going.
Ata I was lurking this morning and saw the chat!!! LOL
@car ty found it
cait -- it is somewhat stream of consciousness. WHOSE consciousness, we cant figure out...
although I have to say it did keep me distracted from the outside world for rather too long yesterday.
LOL
Haz said I was a good influence *smug*
FM, if you're sn4ed in, it can't keep you TOO distracted for too long. SOMETHING has to help time pass
*snort*
this being the same Haz that said I had all the cocktails?
the outside world can go fly a kite today..it is now minus 10c and we are getting lake effect blowing and drifting snow.bloody skiiers can have it
thanks for the WORD, FM ;-)
*gasp*
yep, the very same
((crossy))) sensible move.
(((fm)))
sorry Nef, haven't done the grid today but will go and make myself comfy in the PB none the less.
that FM. always giving away words
Hi again
LOL, FM. I needed it and was working on that combo at the time!
Sorry I have to go and cook, I only popped in for a lend of some huskies.See you all tomorrow, bye
crossy makes some bacon weaves for the pb,and some fruit cocktail(to keep scurvy away) ;))
bye cait
Bye cait, take care.
bacon weave?
Oh hego you haven't seen crossy bacon weave and the things he can do with bacon?!
bacon weave sounds wonderful! I;ll just have to go and eat a dragon fruit! No bacon in france
http://www.holytaco.com/if-i-die-bacon -related-death-id-it-be-because
No, I haven't. Sounds interesting.
crossy is a bacon artiste
bacon vodka, bacon weave you name it he has done it. Hi ruby
brings home the bacon.....
hi fam
fm*
LOLOL
and water chestnuts with brown sugar?
fiance wouldnt let me try bacon weave over the weekend. some lame excuse about not wanting clogge darteries...
Sissy!
I have to admit to havine several bacon sarnies this last week out of pure desperation for some comfort food.
what's a sarnie?
My aunt made chocolate covered bacon at Christmas. It was....interesting.
Sandwich, ruby
abbr. for sandwich
Bacon in the Brit. Isles is a whole other thing.
jess, that sounds like a step too far.
lol
Wow! Jess
I swear there can't be 15 wo words! I've found 9, shouldn't that be enough to blacken that tile?
any bacon would so, and cheddar cheese!!! mouth is watering
we will have to put a food package together for you ruby.
I think she would agree with you FM. I don't think she'll do it again.
Poor Ruby
I live in the worst part of france for food; everything is bland
or game
Really? there is a part of France with bad food????
bland french food sounds like an oxymoron
fonduesssss
this part!!!!
Nef... the W's??? I have 11, but it was a hardship.
LOL jmc
What part is that ruby?
I'll make sure never to visit, LOL.
in the mountains near to Annecy and Geneva
I've never been mad for French food. (Is that blapshemy?)
OK!
not at all hego
and for game, they make horrible dark sauces
It was just shocking to hear that there was a place in France where the food is bad...
Bread and wine are great, though.
.. bbl...
should i go back to the archive for more hints for funny farm?
Hi jmc
but the meat is awful
i think a lot of french food is bad (overly sauced in many cases) but bland!
Fireworks! I thought I'd never get that elusive en7.
Yes, Ruby, they do not have great meat.
whoo hoo helen!
compared to the us and the uk! When I visit my son in Austin I eat sushi, Mexican food and STEAK!
YIKES, was that my neck sticking out?
not barbecue?
All this talk of food is making me hungry think I had better go and have a rootle in the fridge.
yes, that too! lol
Itoo - unfortunately there is no bacon!
gotta love bbq
ruby how do you retire from loving dogs?
You don't
what do you mean, jmc?
your profile says you are a retired dog lover
hahahah
:-)
perhaps I should re-punctuate.....
someone said fondues....
that was a while ago crossy the fondues are long gone
Crossy, you missed the choclit covered bacon.
takes me time some days lol
mmm fondues
fondues and raclettes are good a couple of times a year.....
ata should i go back and read the archive for Funny Farm clues?
now i want to go out and get a nice fillet of hallibut or sea bass and some beer batter mix and fire up the ole fondue pot;))
bacon and cheese fondue.
what is a raclette?
and seafood here is awful; we're too far inland
mmmm raclettes
indeed hego
Go Crossy!
there were clues early UK morning I think
some battered stuffed mushrooms wrapped in bacon of course
it's a different kind of melted cheese dish, served with boiled potatoes and assorted cold meats and rough bread and butter, melted and browned on a special rack
shrimpies;)) big tiger ones
i eat melted cheese for supper all the time
i call it my tortilla-less quesdilla
with bacon, I bet
oh, I would love that! love quesadillas, another food I miss
you could bring back masa harina and make your own tortillas ruby
yes yes
jmc, have you ever tried this? you shread about 4 kinds of you favorite cheese in a even layer on a baking sheet, add basil, oregeno and other spices of your choice and bake under the broiler till it browns and allow to cool, and you end up with this great crunchy sheet of yummy spiced cheese;))
sometimes when I find an old cheese in the back of the fridge (brie, reblochon, whatever), I bake it and serve it on bread -- not so bad
that sounds wonderful, cross!
never did that crossy -- it sounds right up my alley
you cut it in narrow stick and serve as a apetizer, but i like to cut it in square for sammiches;0
i usually zap a bowl of grated cheddar and jalopenos in the microwave! fast and satisfying
the perfect topping for a bacon weave sammy
but i use my iron skillet when i make regular quesadillas
i will try that crossy -- does it keep well?
with guacamole on the side?
keeps well jmc,up to 3 weeks
do not freeze
this game will make me fat!!!!
cheese seldom freezes well -- i was thinking of on the counter in an air tight container
i am too lazy to make guac all the time
Hi everyone! Rubyfoo, you got your picture up.
You are all making me hungry!
Yes, and I just ate lunch.
Another easy one with cheese is to grate chees (like parmesan) on pita bread with oregano and other spice and bake. Yum
ata did it for me!
Hi Beth, Jmcnrick, Hego, Ruby, and Crossy
If you cut it into wedges you have homemade pita chips.
How wonderful
hi beth and mom
howdy mom
I just use my toasted sandwich maker - bliss!
Hi mom ruby hego all
i won't tell you the crap i just ate at work
Hi Ata.
beth you should have a meet up with science! there is a critical mass of babblers in Texas
hello bethjr
Should do. I usually just lurk but your talk of food pulled me in. Now you know my priorities!
tell us, jmc
Good priorities Beth
Beth, sometimes the chat is more fun than the grid.
there are a couple of babblers in austin and beyond but I ate lunch in austin on a number of occasions when I lived in Houston
Especially yesterday. I hated that grid!
that's where my boy is
great food there
I'm getting ready to make broccoli soup for dinner.
hello everyone :)
Yesterday's chat was a lot of fun. But, the grid was not.
Hi Nan
hi cyber
The chat is ALWAYS better than the grid!
Ruby where in texas? I'm in Houston.
does the X ever get used?
Hi Nan
lol Hego
;-)
my son is in austin, musician and data-base coordinator
I'm hopeless with the grid, but the chat in here is splendid
Austin has a great music scene
he plays with JTWright and Solstice, used to play with Mysterious Ways (U2 tribute band) and his own cd is coming out this month
so austin's PR department says
;-)
Oh Ruby, that is wonderful
Houston has a good blues scene
yes, I am very happy about it
And a few good jazz clubs.
really, Beth?
I do wish him well with it.

Yes, Nef. A regular heatwave
it's only 17 for Mpls, I guess. Maybe it isn't as warm as I'd hoped.
Heyas kids ..
hey torg....
Scintillating conversation going on here .. :)
dc, are you still here?
Obviously not. Is anyone else playing funny farm?
everyone is lol
Ah! Ata, I had to close down my browser last night, and all my funny farm words had gone, although I had saved it. Luckily I can remember them. The Word ones were still there. Any ideas?
oh nooo!

Well I can remember most of them :-(
I don't know :( mine always saved

Have you got them all?

Don't know if I have the first one yet Harry

No thanks, I have two, just don't know if either is the first one, not listing yet.
good for you :)
hmmm just unlocked a new square
evening all
I'm really stuck on some of them.
hi spritey
Evening sprite
Heya sprite
hi again (I keep wandering off today; my day off and a day of RE4 for me!)
is it any fun today?
Is that your house, sprite, in the sn**?
yes nice grid today
I wish, Sally
it's a good grid today, sprite. I haven't listed yet and have 98 left
sounds good to me :) *dives in*
But it's now time to list. I'm not seeing any new words now that I'm back again. :-/
poor Nef
both my animals are going quite mad
madder than usual?
yep!
don't worry about me, sprite. I have the whole day off to play. :-)
I hope you have your camera handy
Hello all. May I please have a clue for ni5-10? Thanks
how lovely, Nef! A day off and a good grid, always a pleasant combination
explosiv (+pl), ga
peach: boom(s)
Thanks much, Nef.
you are in the grid today, btw, Nef
so I am, sprite! I didn't see it before! :-)
Thanks, sprite.
:)
so close to insa4. No call from the men in white coats.
from the grid, sprite? I dodn't find it that tough at first
didn't
no, it isn't tough. I am just sorry I cannot combine the in- with the healthy words.
aah.
That Funny Farm game is soooooooo bloody addictive!!!!!
new game, Movie?
Yes, movieman!
yep!
Morning everyone
I just joined Quote Puzzler so don't dare look at another game site for now
and nobody tells me? Tsk.
hi lyn, good morning to you.
http://shygypsy.com/farm/p.cgi
hi lynxxx. I love your icon
Also: http://funny-farm.appspot.com/game/lin x
And if you really run out of things to do, change linx in that last one to food :-)
I hope there are no others.
It's for all the snow bunnies Nef
is it a word game?
Yes sprite, you have to find connections.
ok sounds great, will check it out! Not that I really need a new addiction, but hey, who am I to fight fate, right? I should be fit enough to sit up at the 'puter for longer soon anyway.
Hi all
hi Mom!
I blew the whole day yesterday on that funny farm game.
hi Mom
{{{Lynxxx}}} hello
After Haz said yesterday she found a hints sheet I went and hunted it down because I did not want to look at that thing any more. Not all the blanks were filled in but alot of them were.
what's going on lynxxx? I haven't seen you for a while; are you ill?
I'm finding the funny farm one too American for me - however the word (linx) one is great
Where is the hings sheet, Mom?
word linx?
oh I see! That is funny. I score with every word, lol. Beginner's luck!
No, very wel Nef, been here every day, we must have just missed one another
Mom - the one with linx at the end of the address line
let me find it and I will post the link in the chat
I found it funny that when I put in an English spelling, it changed it to the American one for me.
ty Mom
you won't soon, spritey :P
wow that is helpful. I tend to mix them up sometimes.
the voice of doom
oh Ata, I bet! Gonna need your help soon, no doubt ;)
Haz's! she's the best
so.... how does one spell a baby sheep?
May I please have a clue for an6-18? Thanks.
sheeplet
lamb
Sally --- http://www.escapegames24.com/2007/06/f unny-farm.html
sheepling
roflol, Ata. Thanks lyn, I tried that and it didn't score. Here comes the dooooom...
ty mom
an6.18 - like the 1n5.10 after it, inSert another letter
you are so welcome Sally
dooooooooom :D
Cannot find what links goat and sheep. Sure I have tried just about everything.
that last clue s'be - like the an5.10 after it
llama Sally
manure doesn't score, grin
no but BS will
llama!
that was for sprite
oh wow! thanks, never would have tried that.
That was a gift from Haz yesterday
ok, I seriously need to talk to Haz. What made her try that, I wonder :)
Oh, ty! By the way, I put in "sh**" and it entered BS.
Oh, and my daughter went to see the Link to that a couple of weeks ago
Sprite, this is from DCSeain
another one that I would have never gotten was KFC
Really, Mom? *Switches tabs for a mo.
yes, it builds off of the chicken
ok I need to try that. Kentucky Fried ......? Lol.
yes, type KFC
Oh, wow! I tried everything there. Don't think KFC has much to do with farming :-)
those are odd words for this map
see, that's the trap Sally - don't be logical
it doesn't, it just builds off the chicken
but KFC does have to do with chicken
Thanks for the an clues....mind isn't awake yet.
Are you sure jmc? :-)
and after I merged the hints I found last night I would never have gotten 3/4 of them
hi jmc
Are there hings in yesterday's hcog?
ah I see, it only has to connect to the words it connects with. Kind of logical nevertheless
Sorry! Are there hints in yesterday's chog?
loads yes
Then when you get a word on the outer edge, you open up another screen sprite.
Thanks Ata. Will have a look later.
what kind of entries should I look for for the double words? Anything like THE and AN or not?
I can not get the food one to load. Blessing or curse?
the is used Sprite
I think sprite is hooked :-)
I believe so
like I said, I blew the entire day yesterday on it
It seems to 'give' you The. I entered Rolling Stone and it gave me The RS
I will tell you all this .... the one that shoots of of Cowboy is CowboyNeal
Lynxxx, how did you say to get to the food one?
it is just a blank screen for me
yeah... easily addicted to word games, that's me. And this is a challenge. Hard to resist ;)
that is not something I'd ever have tried
http://funny-farm.appspot.com/game/foo d
I tried about 20 times to put in Rhinestone with Cowboy
Mom, I've never heard of CowboyNeal so I would never have got that.
I didn't hear of it either, that I got off the cheat sheet
okay, where are the directions for that game? It won't take any words (and I said I wouldn't go th***!)
oh, and from barn comes Fred Flintstone's buddy
hmmm., the minimap is open and the screen is white
oh Nef, another one bites the dust
oops du**
Oh heck, sprite - off to google.
maybe; but maybe not. I'm on a Mac and I can't get it to work
lol Sally. Just extend the barn
I'm on a Mac, Nef. Do you have cookies enabled.
Yes, got it now sprite.
darn Ishouldn't be doing this! Cannot sit up properly for longer than an hour and even this grid isn't easy within that time.
good, Sally!
Grid? Oh, yes, that's what we're here for, isn't it.
I sat here for 8 hours Sprite
errrr it seems that way. And I still love Babble, grin.
oh Mom!
Mom - see if Bean takes
and said I would not do this again, and here I am tryingn to get the food one to work
no Lynxxx, it doesn't take it
Are you in top left square?
Do you have a Google account, Mom? Log in to that and then see.
it says that the meta=puzzle is unlocked
no google account here
oh NOOOO! I see I get more maps when I click on that mini map. This is endless! This is going to eat time.
Says that for me too Mom
I was in the top left square
hmmm
Odd (I don't have google account either)
Can you get the word one Mom?
uh, hun, sprite.
Keyboard!!!! Uh, huh, sprite!
no. Lynxxx, I can't get anything
you said it, Sally :) Ok, this is bad. But great.
ah, divine intervention.
lol
I still can't get the darn thing to work (I'm going to be happy about that, from the sounds of it!) :-D
Sorry I am no help. DC might be able to help if you see him, he has been on quite a bit
Perhaps it is overloaded! - too many Babblers on
Nef, what browser are you using? I'm using Firefox on my Mac.
I am kind of glad that it isn't working since I have other things to do.
I will try later or tomorrow
could I get a small hint for one of those double words at the left of the cow? Am baffled.
Holy Cow
sorry, you only asked for a hint
ow! I really need to start thinking differenty
hehe, thanks anyway Mom
Firefox, Sally. and cookies are enabled; I'm using my google account, etc., but it isn't working for me. Oh well,
that will take you to religions though
all new maps again, wow.
yep, all new ones
Cannot imagine how I get from pig to religions. No, don't tell me!
sprite, sounds like you're hooked already
"On the Clock" ?
it should take coward. Brilliantly found by myself. Darn.
lol nef, I confess.
on the clock, I did okay with
what do you find on a clock, Lynxxx
nothing yet, just wondered what I would find - clock things?
for starters yes
that a hint Lynxxx
that is*
what is 'on the clock'?
Sprite, another block
another square Sprite, you will get to it eventually
oh ok! Am trying to finish the first one first... still stuck on those double words. Minus your great clue of course.
the other two end in cow if that helps
oh no are you guys doing the funny farm game?
ok will try again.
more clues, Sprite?
oh yes, Josh
say goodbye to the next 2-3 days at least - i did it with some friends a few months ago
one more, please, Mom? So I can jog my brain awake?
think money
hi josh, just started and I already know I am gonna regret this. But it is fun!
Oh!!
there is also an iphone app that is similar
milk cow doesn't take, grrrrr
nope, not milk. You pay with ****, check or credit card
I really really wish you hadn't told me that, josh. (what is it called?)
wonderful, thanks again Mom
are you sure you want to know, sally
just holler if you need the last one. :)
Well, just so that I can definitely avoid it, you understand, josh!
it is called iAssociate
sure, Sally
Would quite like a hint for the last cow, Mom.
it has been updated with new levels twice so far, i think
it is a disease from eating not so good beef
ty mom

I'm multi-tasking, Inge

I missed the link when it was given, I dont need another addiction anyway
Oh Inge, I wished I had missed the link yesterday.
the importance of being ea
ok I give. Mom, please help me with the last cow?
Mad Cow
I even tried bow wow
lol SPrite
lol and fat cow, I tried that too. Thanks Mom.
you are welcome
I did post a clue in my reply to Nef at 3:44
well not a clue, it is the actual word
but I did find the word from llama, hehehe. Of that, I am proud.
now off of that one put the person whose last name is spelled with only one L
excellent Sprite, you are taking to this like a duck to water
if you are all playing Funny Farm, then babble is over with for the rest of us
Mom, what is the word immediately under farmer? A hint only?
Inge, I'm playing Babble at the same time.
oh no it isn't Inge, I am still playing and will help if I can
does funny farm have a chat box too?
I think it's here, Nef!
no NEf,
it was here yesterday
I can do both at the same time
makes no sense to me, who does not want to get involved with the farm.
it shouldn't be.
Sally, it starts with a H and it is what people are
hirsute?
homo sapiens?
nice try BR
hungry?
hapless
lol BabbleRabble, and hello. Glad to see you.
that too, Sally
H beings
hopeful
Hello
OK, got it Mom. Would not have thought of that one either
Helpful
humph
I know Sally, I wouldn't have thought of half this stuff
It's a strange way of thinking.
very much so
I like it. It is very very associative.
thinking? what an odd concept
hi BR
free association!
hello
is that like free love only more so, lynxxx?
exactly, lyn! Very enjoyable.
lol Sally
only with a mind like a gutter... like me
hey, BR I liked your quote from earlier, but now you've changed it. I had hoped to use your quote elsewhere. Who was that other one from?
At least there is no time limit on Funny Farm, not like Babble where I know I could finish but am too tired.
Then I just leave it and go to bed.
BBL
bye bye Lynxxx.
bye for now, lyn
Sprite, your mind is in the gutter?
must be, Mom. First words I spot in grids are the bad on4.
It's funny we haven't run into one another there.
I find I do too
lol!
I was very upset to find the housework-related ones. They are there as an evil reminder, I'm sure :-(
only 3 words left on the first map
some\
that is evil indeed
Sprite or Sally, any clues before I go pull tv dinners our of the freezer?
we could write our words in the du**
some babble help? a clue for tro8/60 - please

Oh please Mom. I am missing the two words between barn and tractor, and the one coming from Barney.
thanks Nef
Nef - you are my hero!! thx
A place to store corn

LOL! it doesn't take much to be a hero these days! :-D
ohhhhh the colour! Thanks a lot, I tried everything from dinos to saurus
And what links the tractor with the place you store corn?
*waits breathlessly for Mom's answer to that one*
you plant wheat and corn for c****
lol sprite
you harvest them
Ah! That's one I had before and lost all my answers. TY
cereal? cakes?
lol Sprite
Mom you rock. Thanks a million.
hi, all. quite a nice grid today.
the next boxes are going to be tough, I can tell. I don't know the first thing about baseball. Religion should be doable, but magicians? Magazines? I think it will be a handicap there that english isn't my native language?
hello Angelsong, yes it is friendly.
and just to throw this out there, Barney will link to baseball but you will want to remember Barney Rubble is whose friend?
you are so welcome Sprite
did you finish the grid yet Angel?
I agree about the baseball sprite. I think magazines could also mean books.
hehehe, good hint, thanks :)
and you will need the Fred's pets name as well
I am totally l9ost. Will return when the farm folks are asleep
off for now. Take care and good luck. {{Hugs}}
bye Mom, have a good time
Sprite and Sally my email is KLD1057@fuse.net if you need help, just email me
it isn't my intention to run anyone off in babble
aw Mom, that is so sweet! Will do!
Oh, ty Mom
you both are so welcome.
Will try hard to talk Babble now :-)
lol am going to finish this grid before bed... where I should have been in some time ago. But strength of will can be handy in cases like this ;)
Still have 50 to find - got sidetracked.
am a little bit further ahead, but yeah, sidetracked is just the word for it :)
hello all, almost done but cannot see first te5/10
NM
NM
not sure it is the first, but male singing voice?
ah, pulling a periwinkle on me, aren't you
:-)
;)
another farm game question, when I see new squares open becuase I have created a link I cannot get to those new squares =( I am on the one with on the farm in the center
if I try to click on them it takes me to a page that says th elink dont work or something like that
Can you not click on them in the Mini map?
nope it wont let me
this is what I get
Something went wrong. This is probably caused by too much traffic. There are two solutions. Press the Back button in your browser twice and enter a new guess. If that doesn't work, use this link to reset the game. Then press the "Start" and "Save game". You should be able to load an old saved game or merge with an old saved game. Sorry about that.
Perhaps dc would know. I think he's on Facebook
Refresh?
or maybe it is just too busy?
Ihave tried everything at different times of the day to get it to work =(
oh wow it just worked! woohoo
how frustrating! Oh good!
oh good ppl are still talking about the farm game...has anyone got to the british bands page?
lol, sorry about that, silly post. I should have removed the first part
hi rolin, not me, sorry. Ata and Haz for sure
I have :)
*sigh*..ok..hi sprite...i guess ill have to wait til tomorrow morning then..
hey ata!!!
but of course it went to the religion one and I actually wanted to go the other way and now I cant get it to do it again lol
oh well I better work on this grid I still need 200 words lol
mel, perhaps you haven't actually got the key word?
ive nearly finished the religion page..but the bands and the magazines..and the comic books are sending me spare
it shows the little maps on the map to the top left and right
that I have made the link to the next map
what bands do you need?
they show as white with green instead of pink
I don't know then. Perhaps it is just busy
ata...i dont know...lol...i have the police...beatles..stones
Miserable for you :-(
5 girls, mark knopfler, thing in a desert,
not a king
one of the beatles
thom yorke's band and chris martin's band
can anyone help me with my final word - en7/36?
PinnyP: inspire, or to be very eager about smth
hello all! (((spritely))) are you feeling better today?
hi stiddie, a little bit, thanks :) How about you?
Ata, could you please give me a hint what links CoyboyNeal to karma??
sprite - do you have another clue...?
feeling okay. was nauseous this morning (residual from whatever I ate this weekend), but drank some ginger tea and made it through the morning. two more hours and I can go home!
I don't know Sprite
wtg stid! *HUGS* to you.
thanks sprite. I am proud of myself for making it to school so far every day (though I missed one observation day last quarter)
awwww I thought you had finished the religion map :(
pretty much apart from that one!
I am not usually this healthy! so I think that means I am getting better.
you are doing so very very well, stid.
no worries - got it - thanks sprite
ok, am glad, PinnyP, was thinking about a good clue but my head isn't cooperating muchish
yep. that's me, SUPER-STID!
ha..ty ata...thats got me into magicians as well
are you caught up in that farm game too sprite?
hehehe, indeed!
I am, stid. And I shouldn't... should have been in bed hours ago. But I am being very very bad.
well, I shall be "mama" to you then, and encourage you to go to sleep. the game will be there when you wake up again. class calls... (((many hugs))) see you again soon.
sprite...look cowboy neal up on google...that will tell you..
(((((stid)))))
ok, will try again, rolin, thanks
ty for that hint, rolin. Have that one now, first try!
ok, got it, thanks!
google is proving invaluable..
2 words to go in Babble :-)
yes, I tried that before, but didn't think to enter that specific word because I didn't think it was related to religion.
go Sally gooo!
Hi. And fireworks.
only 3 more in religions, grin, and fireflies in babble
hi and gratz Gail
Time for ice cream...
Multi-tasking rules! Fireworks! And hallo Gail.
Really must go to bed now. I shall be dreaming about what links karma to tractors ...
yayyy Sally!
lol night night sally!

click on it, it says a macaque, I guess not a proper noun after all. (and ty for da clue)
its a kind of monkey, no?
yupper
thx for the tip meliae
you're all welcome
listening to air america, and once again, the right-wing nutcases have pounced on a liberal, and now the people on air america (liberal radio network) are wasting loads of their time to reply to it.
what a waste of time!!
current;y i'm too lazy to get up and turn it off
right-wingers don't have a corner on the nutcase market :)
but they are prolly laughing their asses off about this one
nutcases usually laugh at the wrong time or at the wrong thing...
(please note, i did not say all right-wingers are nutcases. I referred to the subgroupd of right-wingers who are also nutcases.)
aaah
i have met left-wing nutcases, too. (most of them aren't trying to take away mi rights, though)
ok am I just blind or does the sh 9 not play off the 8?
ah, new topic on air america at last. head of facebook says "privacy" is a thing of the past. Oh boy.
oh, i don't have either one of those, mel
well, i have 93 to go, opening the list . . .
been a long time since I have been here, hello all
hi there vjr, howya been?
sh 9 -- lightweight see through + the Untouchables Eliot

TY, good clue BR
oh doh! thank you Gwen
oops BR sorry
hey, you're welcome anyway lol
hi all, n ty BR, sh9 my first word! HA!

diphthong
Computer can't spell - can
Thank you, it's been driving me dotty for weeks.
don't see that word around much anymore
two letters stuck to each other is called a ligature. (example, the letter W started as a ligature of two Vs.) diphthong refers to two vowels pronounced (more or less) as one sound
two important updates from Microsoft on patch Tuesday
[ ß ] also a ligature, still used in German (lessee if it comes out right)
Yes, Gwen, I think that's the one . . diphthong is something else. BabbleRabble, your suggestin started me thinking of something else, so thanks to you.
and it is the combination of S and Z in the old German script
vas es los? inge
yupper. called an eszet or estzet
hiya and guten abend, inge
I think I'm entering my second childhooh: I'm starting to think about things I learned 65years ago.

they were going to drop this letter, and write only ss for it, but kept it after long vowels
I'm not that old, so maybe 60 years
uh oh, your brain is changing!! lol
I have a great memory for things like my childhood best friend's phone number, but I don't remember where my keys are
i collect punctuation. easier to collect than coins and stuff.
and I mean her phone number from 40 years ago
do you collect colons?
I saw a blog entry on punctuation marks, a lovely poster that I'm considering purchaing.
at least this is babble talk, all afternoon they were chatting about that farm game and foricng babblers off the chat
no, just one of each. i have one colon in captivity LOL
i promise not to mentin the farm game!!!
no, they werent!
I was given someting called Brain Boot Camp for Christmas -- supposed to improve memory and such -- looks very boring.
but yes, it's nice not to talk about the stupid thing :P
well, they were whenever I logged in
Memory is overrated
ok I give us 5/12 please
Do you suppose there's a hint included in that gift?
Hi all
jill, sounds like a present for someone who has everuyting
You know about the woman who has a perfectly detailed memory of EVERYTHING in her life, no ability to forget?
hi jill
Hello Jilli
i also collect multiple names for one symbols. example, the @ sign is called, the at sign, amphora, arobase, cabbage, cinnamon bun, cyclone, the each sign, Klammeraffe )another German word), and many other names
If you would say "June 10, 1968" to her seh could tell you exactly what she did that day, what she wore etc.

Remembering everything would be hell.
was she a savant?
They interviewed her on NPR a few years ago- you could still hear it on line
No, just a weird neurological recurrance
how did they know she was telling the truth?
my dad says he knew someone who could do thatm, too. they have more functioning neurons than most of us
No, it wasn't a scam- it was studied and documented.
Good grief, sounds like my late Mother, daughter and former husband - anything I've done wrong in the past 70 years -- God bless them.
I myself would like to be an idiot savant!
Maybe I am one.
thats amazing!
we know little about how the brain works. need to study thoses people with the super memories . . .
The brain is a very strange universe
Iteresting about that German sz -- or is it zs? I thought it was ss. Many books on Gt Dane history refer to a Herr Mebter, but it's that symbol someone misunderstood so in my book I used Messter. What should I have used?
it can be s-z or s-s
mebter, prolly should be meszter
so I'm ok with Messter? Thanks, Gwen.
well, it's too late now for me!
pronounced mets-ter. might need practice lol
jilli, you did it right. the ß is a double s sound, derived from s and z
should be pronounced Messter
Thanks, inge.
inge is the expert here on the german stuff 8-)
Thank goodness, it is the only german letter that does not exist in English, now imagine learnign Chinese
hello friends - back to babble - after a short fling with the funny farm
or mebbe not! LOL
People still write Mebter, and make all sorts of mistakes about old pedigrees, perpetuated over the years, which is one reason I wrote my book, checking everything with the original German studbooks.
and just in time - I AM learning Chinese, inge, and that is a true brain stretch for me
"the great mebter" 8-P
surely you have all heard about the "respelling" of names at Ellsi Island.
inge, my father learned Chinese (writing too) and had to take an exam for his work as a civil servant back in the 20s. 10 extra marks were awarded for writing the exam in Chinese, and he got 110%
unfortunately that is not common knowledge, as far as my expericen reveals
I should explain he was working for the Chinese Postal Bank.
i mean the mangling of immigrant names . . .
in 7/28 please the first one
I'd like that clue too, please :)
in7, common word, means severe, extreme,

wow, that is great, jilli - about your father's test, I mean
bleh I knew it! lol ty Gwen
The most cruious change is one the US Army did when issuing fake passports to the Leon Feuchtwangers in teh early 40's. Their new last name was Dampcheek ( a literal trasnlation of Feuchtwanger)
Actually, not a translation. The word Feuchtwanger came from Fichtenhang (pine lsope)
JBV, I have a little wooden box with divided drawers, containing little squares with a Chinese character on the front, and the literal and figurative meanings on the back. He used to study it aevery day on his way to work in a rickshaw in Peking (Beijing).
Humorous true anecdote: Universalist missionary the Rev. Clarence Rice wrote home of the difficulty of learning the Japanese language. The old words for post office, "joroku," and hell, "jigoku," got missionaries confused. At least, he quipped, we Universalists don’t have the problem of the orthodox who keep sending people to the post office for their sins.

How is the practicum going stid
hi stid, red, bugs, min, everyone
Hello Bugsaw! How are you doing?Welcome to the grid
Hi Min!
well, only the one so far... next one in two days. I think it will be fine. tomorrow, we are discussing teaching methodologies again, which is usually fun because we get to practice on each other (like nurses learning to give shots, but less painful. usually)
stid, i am usually here, but usually just lurk. i love playing and watching the different themes scroll through the chat. i know it might appear that i am being antisocial, but sometimes i am just too tired
((joey)) I understand, really. well, just so you know I am glad you are well enough to delurk!
Hi joey. We are just glad you are here and feeling well enough to play!
bleh I am annoyed with this farm game (sorry those of you who hate us talking about it here)
thanks. good luck with your practicum. thanks, bugsaw
So stid, how long are these practicums?
MEL! (((many hugs))) happy new year.
each week we have a full teacher's contract day, and through June.
oooo hiyas Stiddy ((HUGS))
I am going to go in on my spring break as well, the teacher has invited me already to be present for conferences so I can see how they go!
hi to those who came in whilst i was trying to figure out that stoopid farm game...i swore i wasn't going to go th5

hi lbd!!!
lbd are you into funny farm? i love it
Hi Red! keeping warm?
I cannot get to the linking squares even though they are showing up for me
I looked at it how do you play

stid, du** is what's all over your house (or mine, anyway)
help with the en 7, please?
i just started the game. i'm missing 10 word blocks
i have only 3 empty squares. it is ddictive

great clue LBD
go knitter go! LOL
lbd, i saw that clue earlier and it just doesn't do it for me.
my charming but slightly insane cousin got me hooked
en 7 is a strange word when it stands alone en+ be very excited about something, in normal conversation it would end with en****astic
i'm missing the connector to goat and sheep
go? where am i going?
go? where am i going?
Can i get a clue for rh 6, pls!
me to LB
do you need more joey?
thanks i was going the absolute wrong way in my mind
Ok finally half way here Yaaay!
rh 6 you would think is a proper noun that would go with monkey

I am up to 86
yes, ak!

getting tired of staring at the farm one and the religion one, lol
"usenet" doesn't count. but it should.
i have completed the farm one. keep trying answers that you think should be there because they won't appear until you have the correct word to link them to.
ok, going to do...something or other
later TO. ((hugs))
okay, out of curiosity I checked the definition of fe4/8 and it isn't a word! WHY is that a "word" when meds, cath, and other such words aren't?
even if they are green on the little mini map thing? I cannot go to them?
Well, meds and cath are abbreviations but I dont know Nef, I think its to annoy us!
I gave up trying to reason with why some words work here and some dont Nef, lol
it has to be that, red. And I am annoyed by that fe4/8!
meliae that is odd internet explorer or firefox?
well, I guess it's worked then...
well. past halfway. will take another look at the readings for tomorrow. back later if I can, but probaly not until tomorrow ((hugs all)) see you-all soon!

a female fortune teller se7/28
He 4/5 is another story of clues. I think that babble is an as5/10 to my daily living. I have never se 4/4 a game so addicting. With babble, the du 4/6 builds up in my house. I'm not a good du6/24 because it never gets done.I usually turn my no4/4 up to cleaning and re6/30 to do it so I can babble instead.I wish I could just er 5/10 all household chores. If I did not have to ea 4/4 money,I would sit home and babble every day with ea 4/4.No sa4/4 person babbles as much as I do My husband sn5/10s everytime I babble & gives me a st5/10 look because I'm neglecting household chores Hubby gets a little te 5/10 over the amount of time I spend babbling.Wish I could babble listless, but I must fe 4/7 up to it,I always re6/18 to using the list.I get half of the words and th4/5 I goto a list.So th5/12 is my story of clues for today. Bedtime is almost ne4/4 and I can se 5/10 sleepiness coming on so I am off to get a long nights re4/4. I hope you are able to so4/4 out my clues and find words.Goodnight to all babblers

hi, pini
hi welki :)
dorens, my daughter is flying up in a couple of weeks with grand-baby ... should be 'fun' getting through security with an infant and all her paraphenalia
well i'll be damned - thx welki - :)
i'm just one heck of a resource, jazz *lol*
I don't know if they still have the helpful lines for families welki...
its amazing how moms/babies can get through security...my dau didn't have one problem! and even took the stroller straight up to plane side! :)
post Underwear bomb boy we may have a different situation though.
my son and dil took three year old and five month old to europe two months ago... wouldn't want to have been on that trip!
through customs, pini? (and red, i asked to her ask if she could either have a 'buddy escort' or someone to help her ... she'll manage, but it's stressful enough travelling (6 hour flight) with baby)
that's what i'm thinking, red
Thanks much, welki.
still chuckling over that - how'd you get that so quickly?
oh, wait...sorry, not customs..thought you were talking about airport security
*holds up smokin' red hot fingers*
red. it is a teachers' union... in all 50 states.. but we're "professionals" so it isn't a union, it is an *ssociation
LOL
brb - koda calls
well yes, pini .. airport security and, because she's flying from u.s. to canada, customs, too
I have never had any major issues with customs. ever, only with "homeland security one time.
two days after christmas i got away with a bottle of water in my carryon bag... right through security
se5/10 (4th one), please? :)
whoooo hooooo DORENS

I had a wee bit of trouble coming into the US from France one time, my passport showed some unaccounted for time. Once i accounted for it, all was well.

Welki, thanks again pal !
when i flew back home (to u.s.) from france, the customs agent asked if i had anything to declare ... and i said, 'i declare i'm glad to be back from france!'
LOL
It may have helped that I dont believe I ever had much to declare.
I love France.
i probably would have, too, if i'd been there at a different time ... with a different person ... blah blah blah
well, i declare that i'm through for today - 93 left and no end in sight - good evening to all you folks :)

Preposition isn't even right - if I blow the next clue, too, I'll give up!! :o) Try a conjunction...
annie, the grid is up for 24 hours; it will change in a little more than 2 hours, so don't worry about finishing. It is a game, after all (but many he** are addicted to it! ;-)

LOL flosey that waz me a min ago but Nef rootin me on
exti5.12 would be a decent clue for it, too.

I am amazed every single time I open the list, and suddenly words appear in the grid like magic!
Thanks Buff!! I got it w/ preposition anyway! Only one left...if I get it, this will be my first completed puzzle!

Can't wait!
lol, herin - actually, he found these pissa extensions at hot topic that come in all sorts of colors, and now we use those. he can switch up the colors at will, no more dyeing, and I swear, you can NOT tell they are fake. Even the hairdresser thought they were real!

Yah Trifs that is great
sammy, should that be se7/28?
did you check out the Skelly Animals whilst you were there?
se4 + my goodn***
yes flosey
it certainly has been a huge time saver around h4, but it is rather funny to have a 16 year old running around saying "have you seen my hair?" on a regular basis!
Do the other 2 pinch it to annoy him?
the second se7 is plural of calm, peaceful
not so much. they bought some too, but gave up on it pretty quickly. it's his thing

Trifs I could hug you
yes, if you weren't on the other side of the planet, sadly!
I know but you have to understand how mad I am about Alice in Wonderland
flosey -- who is that in your Messenger picture?
mad happy or mad angry, herin?
a young girl horsing around in the school shower stalls?
I directed a high school production of it once, herin, and had an absolute BLAST - it was SO much fun! Primo was in it, at the age of 6!

I guess so, flosey
As in super excited about it

Love Alice too, herin
I also directed some scene work from it at the boston ballet school....I love me some alice, herin!
I have always prefered the Queen or the Hatter
I was such a stubborn hold out regarding digital cameras....regret it now, of course, as it turns out digital is a pretty good way to go!
I love digital cameras, you see immediately if it's good or not
yes-- all that wasted film!
as per usual, I was intimidated by the technology, so I resisted it, foolishly
ah Trif, that's me too - often have trouble getting my head around some of the computer tech stuff
back in a while -- going to check Lexulous
I am torn between the digital and film. Film was so much fun as you had to wait until you saw what you took
but you couldn't always go back and retake herin
I can't really say I can fully operate my camera, even now. I should learn all the features, but I haven't as yet. cell phone, same deal - it has so many little buttons, and I only use a third of them
me too! cell phone here is mainly for emergencies
