Just had the nicest thing happen by pure coincidence: Despite the extra snow we had overnight it has been trying to taw today so I just went out to try and clear the 8" of snow that had accumulated and as I steped out of hte house group of about 6 lads came hurtling round the corner mid snowball fight - so I said you are welcome to the snow on my car as a joke and they helped me clean it off and dig most of the surrounding area too. Very nice and polite and then they went back to their snow fun.

Just did tail docks and dewclaw removal on a litter of puppies. Owner/breeder asked me if I've ever seen dogs of this breed with tails before. I said yes, they're all born with tails. The only reason that you don't see adults with tails is that breeders insist on cutting them off as puppies.

well, some Australian shepherds are natural dock. But most of the bob-tailed breeds are only bobbed because people keep cutting them off.

It was a 9-hour job and I ony got the marmalade potted up at 1.10am - started cutting fruit up at 4pm. Normally, I use Hartley's Mamade orange or lemon base, which cuts the preparation time down a lot. However, I wanted to do grapefruit, lemon, orange and ginger this time and Hartley's don't do that mix. Got 7lbs of preserve for all my work.

My son has a Jag and he hasn't been able to get it off the drive for days and, when he did eventually get it off the drive (which is flat) he couldn't get any traction on the road. Other half has a Signum and has managed to get out of the Arctic Tundra where we reside to work every day except yesterday. It took him over an hour to get 5 miles and then the traffic was nose to tail, so he turned around, came home and worked from home via laptop and cellphone.

charley is a one-owner dog and isn't interested in letting anyone else touch him, but he seems atypical for the breed
but he does need his walk and gets cranky when mom isn't around
when she's away he's sort of okay with me, but won't go near my dad
