spam yuk
spam is ****?

more like dog food
your dog wouldn't eat it andree.
rofl, andree
we used to eat fried spam -- it wasn't bad
not enough bad chlorestorol for you jilli you had to fry it?
during world war II????? perhaps
yes, during WW2 and shortly after when we were newlyweds and broke
not too sure about that at this young age he is always hungry and probably would
the frying made some of the fat come out
when i was a broke newlywed we ate a lot of baked beans, in those days i couldn't cook anyway
(psst.. there are babblers who actually like spam)
I've been cooking since I was 5 or 6
ruru, you are special
yes i made sure my kids were all able to cook
I remember the days jilli - hubby started teaching in an area where hunting was good, students were always bringing him wild meat which I did eat at the time, but don't really like it - ground was fine in spagetti sauce
protamin
oops!! sorry
that is it! anike..

(ugh flosey... I don't think so)
Must go and tend to invalid hubby - stepped on an old pine frond when we went to sky show on Tues and it embedded itself 1.5 inches into foot - had to have it surgically removed

hi rose !! my cheer leader
you better believe it! ;P
I'm anxious to see ata's icon
thx granny, hi west
hi andree !!
might be old news but Susan Boyle found a man in her house
why do they refer to her as Subo?
she must have got a terrible fright
I can imagine.
I just looked at hers in My Friends and it's still her cat -- the other day she didn't post anything for her choice and said she had just tossed out some ideas for sprite
(hers is ata's)
oh too bad jilli I thought hers would be amazing
hadn't heard the Subo name or the thing about the man in her house, poor thing!
I just put the late news on
I was disappointed too, west
oooooo.. fell asleep... sorry guys.. good night.. lil dylan kept me up a bit last night.
bye ruru
night ru, hope he lets you sleep tonight
did he want to play?
yes..
and get attention.
how can you refuse?
of course he gets to sleep all day.
testing you, eh, ruru? Smart little pup.
sound like a normal puppy
nite ruru, hope you and your little fella sleep well
we always had an older dog when we got a puppy it worked out well

oh, no. it's contagious
Arhg now he's got BR going!

so I suppose I should play like a tree and leave
oh I haven't put any food out for the birds, they will be lining up i nthe garden for breakfast.

good thing I like fish
ty granny and ruru
didn't barbara streisand act in that movie granny?
* hands jilli a can opener * don't knock yourself out dear
oh, yeah, ruru, still recall blubbering my heart out.
lol
well i was only in my teens
or was it early 20's...what else do i recall about that era...caftans, indian lovebeads, leather toe-sandals, long hair, mary-jane cookies....and lots of incense and jimi hendrix
those were the days
to this day, i still love the smell of sandalwood
and I can't stand patchouli
lol, westy, same here
going to take a banana-milk break -- back soon -- 11 left
okay, jilli, later
gj jilli !! see you soon
neither can I, west -- and it's popular here among the young airy-fairy crowd. When they come into the library (which has a "Please no perfume" sign) it stinks the whole place up
now for that banana . . .
could I have a clue for the second wa6 please?
more pale flosey
single cons
wa 6, wa + single hump + 2 vowels + hook letter
sorry, flosey, can't think how to clue any other way
I suppose it would refer to the moon
thanks west, granny
actually it refers to a defect in wood, westy
good because the other didn't really make sense
knew what you were getting at tho west
that's good flosey lol
is everything back to normal at your house?
oh west, we're laughing now, but last night, I was still babbling, hubby sound asleep - went into the kitchen and discovered a dark red puddle in front of the fridge/freezer
oh no !!
looked into freezer and discovered everything thawing
is that where you hid the body?
I can't budge the thing so had to wake hubby
bbl, dinner ready
bye rose enjoy !!
bottom line is, when the plumber came in at midnight previous night, he must have turned off the switch to the fridge by mistake
was just going to ask if the power was shut off accidentally
so, another mess to clean up
you need a vacation !!
took a few minutes to figure it out, we have 2 switches that work to that fridge - the one is for when the generator kicks in
just got back to see disaster #2 for flosey! Some plumber!
lol, easy to do I guess, being dragged out at midnight
I hope the frozen foods were salvageable!
our 2 month old refrigerator/freezer bit the dust but luckily we have a back up in the basement
some had to be dumped, most salvagable - we don't keep that much upstairs
2months old and dead?
wow, west, must be under warranty
yes it was just lovely
what brand, west?
it was under warranty but we weren't too happy
it's a GE jilli
I can imagine!
all new appliances for our new kitchen
they just don't make things like they used to
frustrating, but at least it will be replaced
I'm just happy we weren't away that would not have been good to come home to
oh dear -- my mother's side of the family worked for GE (a long time ago). They always used to refer to the rival as We Sting House.
good one jilli
I should explain -- three of her sisters married GE people
nd
sorry, was putting last 2 letters on my word!
flosey it's after midnight for you now do you feel the need to check any plumbing?
think I'll wander to the bedroom with eyes closed
jilli how many sisters did she have?
don't blame you flosey
hubby went to bed and said please don't wake me tonight
I imagine he wouldn't be smiling
hmmm, glad ru wasn't here to see that comment
he'd have run with it that's for sure
* * FIREWORKS * *
WTG Jilli
Yay jilli !! didn't realize you were back
think there's just the 3 of us here
we're a good group
my mother had 4 full sisters and 2 half sisters, 2 full brothers and 2 half brothers who died in their teens (accidentally)
what a nice big family
what happened to her brothers?
need a clue for de5, first one
They were pretty close, too, very fond of each other.
flosey, that was my last word -- god.
love to see families like that

I'm off to Duncan tomorrow, taking the car in for maintenance. I'm lucky my Corolla is a 2004 and not recalled!
is the game at your house?
no, fortunately, at my partner's
what a mess that is jilli we have a 2003
who are you playing, flosey?
hi jilli, i cant get the little rodents. cant think of anything but rats..............blocked. what has a c in it?
we were thinking of getting a 2010 just about all of them have been recalled
mkg -- smaller than rats
hi mkg what are you doing up?
Ann F and Joanne E
the plural has the c in it
oh what fun ---- ??? !!!
mkg the ones the cats like
I like Ann, don't know Joanne really
the ones they build a better trap for
well, good luck anyway, flosey
ty got it.

did you ever see that movie?
I did it was a kick
oh yes -- I saw THAT ad! And I also saw that we're getting Avatar at our little movie house next week :)
was a hoot
I've seen the Shirley Valentine play, years ago at Chemainus
ah, that would have been good
we saw the movie quite a few years ago seems
it was excellent. Trev was with me and we went with his brother and his wife, who were living at Kingfisher then
oh, that would have been fun jilli
howdy all!
Hi Dee

I hope your neck and shoulder feel better now dee

lol west... had Bible study at my house today, so no fun computer stuff til now
Would that be me?
that would be lol
hi haz
Good morning/evening all.
hello haz always nice to see you
Hello westford, Volley. Another not too big grid for us today.
I seem to have better luck with the big ones
I agree west... seems they often are easier than these
they go faster
I know, with the big ones you get a heady feeling as the words flow.
at first...
Hello all
help with r in the last column please
hi lynn
Morning all... any clue on the no 6,30 ... stumped I am.
I think lions do this
not that one west
that is I think that's the r word
don't have that yet dueces
ro7.36 ro & to put up with or e*****
Thanks Volley
no6.30 compound, pacifists are in favor of this
ty Lynxxx that's fireworks for me...
ty from me as well lyn
Yay dueces
Congrats Dueces!
Congratulations Dueces. Hello to lynxxx.
yes, hello lyn
TY ... must have had a wee bit to much to drink last nite...it was way easier than I made it

not yet...
thanks dee we lived near Concord so Emerson is a favorite of mine
got it re 4
sorry, I have it so I'll look again
try 'behind'
nbt
that was it west
wtg dee !!
did jili go to bed?
she did
totally missed that...
dee did you see that flosey had another flood of sorts?
oh, no!!! what happened?
after babbling last night she went through the kitchen and there was a dark red puddle in front of the refrigerator..seems the plumber turned off the power so everything was defrosting
gd morning everybody
oh would I have been livid!!
hello ruby
! she must have been furious
Good morning, ruby.
hi Ruby
hello haz
I told her to take a vacation
why isn't freon (speaking of refridgerators) not allowed?
take a vacation at the expense of that plummer
she said she's going to close her eyes tonight
plumber
no kidding
proper noun ruby?
I didn't realize it wasn't allowed ruby
oh lol you mean in the grid
isn't it a gas?
generic for fridges?
should be
it is a Brand name Ruby
I don't know, ruby, it may be capitalised or a trademark name (I don't think it is) or maybe enable is just being contrary.
It's not listed in morewords either.
aha, tks, lynx
here is what dictionary.com says about it: Trademark. a brand name for any of a class of liquid or gaseous fluorocarbon or chlorofluorocarbon products, used chiefly as refrigerants.
capitalized
So, it's the brand name explanation? It must be a US name, it's not familiar to me over here.
owned by DuPont
thanks for the explanation, also now I will try to spell refrigerator correctly, lol
I doubt we will ever see chlorofluorocarbon in the grid
it's used in refrigerators, air conditioners in houses and cars, etc...
maybe CFCs
lol ruby, I misspelled plumber earlier...
hahah
That's probably why it's unfamiliar to me. Not much use for air conditioning over here!
we only have air con in the upstairs, and use it maybe 10 days a year, but when we need it, we need it!
after all the snow you've had haz you may need a/c this summer
Mother Nature is on a rampage
It would be nice to have a decent summer for a change. We've had three wet summers in a row.
it gets hotter than a fritter here, so use a/c often here
after living in Miami for a long time, the summers here are a pleasure. Two seasons there: perfect for 4 months and mosquitoes for the other 8
so true
Morning all!
Good morning, FM!
hi fm
hello FM
Haz, don't forget your car has it's MOT tomorrow Hi Volley and ruby
morning FM
and Hello lynxxx :)
Thank you for the reminder, FM! It's all ready, just debating whether to get it steam cleaned underneath.
Hope everyone is well today
Driving up and back off the ramp is not one of my favourite experiences.
I would wait until the spring for that Haz as the roads are still so mucky.
hello FM birds all fed?
Yes, but I'm always worried in case they turn me away because it's too dirty to inspect. It probably is absolutely fine, I'm sure they see much worse, but it's just a slight niggle.
Hi west, yes and then I fed myself and popped into the village for a quick bit of shopping, an now back at my desk about to start the working day.
Dear Haz, I really wouldn't worry about that.
you've had a very productive day so far
Ah well, I can always blame FM if they turn me away!
ring them Haz and ask - and make sure you get the name of the person who advises
LOL there you go!
we're down to one car now but when I had my own the inspection sticker was on the passenger side and I'd always forget
phone brb
had a big number of the month it was due
That's an idea, lynxxx. It doesn't cost a lot to get it done, it's just the drive up and down that's a bit nerve-racking. I know the men at the place would do it for me, but I don't see why I should! If I'm fit to drive the car on the road, I should be fit to drive it up a ramp, even though there's a sheer 500 ft drop beneath it. (Exaggerated for the purposes of drama)
It's character building isn't it Haz?
Absolutely! It's the closest I come to being a daredevil
don't agree - sometimes it's nice to 'play' the helpless female
ditto that lynxxx
But I'm not helpless. I've done it before so I can do it again.
I am surprised that they don't do it as a matter of course (drive up the ramp)
character/smaracter...you proved yourself having 2 children. Enough already!
your car inspections sound lots more involved than our
go haz!
ours*
I'll act the helpless female when it comes to anything technical like changing a wheel, it's actual driving that I won't give way on.
I've changed tyres in the past but would happily accept assistance now as gammy knees don't like kneeling.
no 7,32 is a scary word lol
I take it you're not a vegetarian dee?
Westford, the MOT itself isn't so bad, it's conducted in specially built test centres and they do most of the testing with computers etc. This steam cleaning business is done in a separate place. Picture two concrete ramps, tiny guide rails, you drive the car up the ramp, the man below stands dripping while steam cleaning. You then reverse the car down. The worst bit is when you're at an angle, unable to see where you're going, while the man shouts at you.' Go on ahead, back away.' You can guarantee that he's chatting to his mates and not looking anywhere near you.
lol was thinking of chinese food when me4 doesn't look like me4
haz I would absolutely not do that
I don't like getting up on a step stool
Maybe I should do a sponsored steam clean for charity. It's the closest I'd come to do something like Ata's skydive.
I wouldn't either... I sideswiped our mirrors 2 x just driving into a carwash
Me neither!
or how about driving up and down the ramp 100 times?
Dear goodness, once is enough!
skydive? omg...they'd have to put a gun to my head AND shoot me with it!
that's what my hubby said
I must admit, the first time I took the car to be steam cleaned, the woman in the queue stepped out of the car and allowed the man to drive it up for her. Something in me rebelled and I decided that I was jolly well going to do it myself.
but... shortly after he poked fun at me, he did the same thing backing out of the garage...
hee hee Volley
that will show him hahaha
see you later, must make lunch then going to see avatar with my friend, dubbed in French
fortunately this car has retractable mirrors

shouldn't that have a hyphen? and good morning babble friends!
Hi. Yes, the 'not made from flesh' word before it is the same.
good morning jacula! well, it is good afternoon for you, though, isn't it?
good phantom today: demeanor
Yes, it 12.45 here. I'll be going food shopping soon.
what's on the menu today? you always make such interesting things!
It's chorizo salad tonight.
I bow. you are an amazing chef!
LOL. Thanks.
I have really been inspired by my babble friends to drag out the recipe books and shake things up a bit in the kitchen. I started a ranking system - I make a recipe, and we try it, then rate it on a 5 star scale. anything less than a 3 I simply won't make again
I do note who rates it what, however. If only one kid rates it poorly, but the other two give it a 5, I will probably make it again, but I do note the objection
Good idea, Trif. My recipe books are covered in notes and comments. I adapt recipes to our taste if necessary.
because you are a genius
No, Trif, just been cooking since I was about 11. A long timr.
*ti4
sometimes it gets really funny. I made a Moroccan fish recipe that even I could not choke down. we all had a tear laughing about it, then got pizza. it wsa REALLY funny
I did a really colourful rice dish with red chilli and chicken once. All the family loved it but it was too hot for me.
I absolutely love to cook, but my kids are so so so fussy! getting them to try something new is ridiculous. for a long time I acquiesced to their rather limited palettes, but now that they are older I am upping the stakes. well, that and I am SICK of chicken nuggets.
Don't blame you, Trif!
I did get in a right rut for a while. I remember walking up and down the aisles in the market just despondent over how boring it all had gotten. chicken, beef, pork, pasta. blah.
There are lots of recipes in Babanon, Trif. Have a look.
ooooh, I shall! thanks!
do we have any dh- words today, please?
I did do an index at the start of the recipe thread but I think the page numbers got mucked up.
No
Hi BR.
thanks babble rabble!
Hello

Thanks. Byeeee.
Be well, jac

you mean like "ther's a bathroom on the right?"
wear
ACK!!!!
is that in the same song?
no
I remember that but I never knew what the hell was on the right

that's how we began this whole thing SG
oh lol just stumbled in!
We've come full circle. LOL
well it certainly makes more sense now! Morning everyone
Actually bathroom makes more sense
;-)
hi hoot
One of the first Babble conversations I was ever in was about how many vestal virgins were in the song.
hi Annie - can't say I miss NY winters but better there than here!
I knew I was in the right place then.
let it snow, let it snow, let it snow...
morning all (16, whiter shade of pale, procol harum)
yup
hi welki
Hi Welki
hi! ain't it grand?
I wish! Weather people are panicing people cause there will be ice. Driver here suck! No plows "were in the south!". Nonsense
We won't have snow here it's up to 40 now.
heck, two inches of snow paralyzes calgary ... folks lose all form of common sense in bad weather here and the city doesn't take care of its roads. it becomes tow-truck heaven here in bad weather ... to the point that the city now has them on "stand by" during storms!
More rain. For a change. :-P
I'm surprised to hear that Welki.
i sure was surprised when i moved here and found myself withing for the NJDOT
Gee I expect stupid in Memphis but not in Calgary!
have to go now. bbl
wishing
bye hego
you would think they would be used to it by now welki... but that surprised me with Calgary
thought they got as much snow as we
bbye hego
later, hego
it's the chinook mentality ... if a chinook blows in, why bother spending $$ on plows and sanders? meanwhile, our residential streets and alleys have foot-deep ruts in them (probably until spring)
(we do get lots of snow .. the city just won't deal with it)
so many people have incurred under-carriage damage to their vehicles just trying to pull into their own driveways (because of the ruts)
and even that doesn't impress them eh?
Well - here they think if they spray the roads with a sand/salt mix (usually 2 days before it happens?) the roads will stay clear.
until it happens to a high level politician, nothing will happen ... and then only in their neighborhood, i suppose
welki, what I noticed here is that Canadians don,t complain as much as United statesians because the squeaky wheel always gets the grease.
?
i would think that, if the squeaky wheel gets the grease, there'd be more squeaky wheels
if and when you complain enough people listen and give you what you want
or they aren't squeaky to the right people
perhaps. what i do know is that edmonton, toronto, and even winnipeg have snow clearing budgets that exceed calgary's by double and triple
ahyes the almighty dollar... if they do it it would probably raise taxes in calgary too
how long have you been in canada welki?
13 years
think you said about 20 years eh? when it was easier to immigrate here
ah ok
hold on phone
no, it was not easy to immigrate here. it took me a year and a half to get landed immigrant status and then another three for citizenship
Hey all! Good morning! Is the single R from the right side an RH word?
no
Oh boy..... clue then?
morning all - i am just starting
Morning!
opposite of front
{hangs head in shame} TY marilyn! On that note, I shall now get my work done.
Help with the no6/30 please
Hi all. Not got the no word yet, rumple.
Got it. Take the first three letters of the two previous words and add the pipe the North Anerican Indians smoke.
ti
Hello inge
ok that was the employment office telling me to come next week to talk about taking a course that will target the exact job I can go in... already went through a series of questions that will tell me what I can do, able to do, want to do this one goes a little deeper.
I thought that was a pe*** pipe (like the wordfrom the flower generation?
Got in Hydra, thanks
had both kinds
welki you still here?
well i guess thats good oodle. its not a job but at least communication is continuing.
exackatackally Good
i really hope something productive comes out of it for you
is it snowing where you are Good?
I do to and I believe in miracles
Good have you read war and peace?
I notice that you like to read... I wish my reading was as prolific as my mother so I wouldn' t have had as much problems in school
*sighs*
no i have not read war and peace (stomach ache setting in thinking about it) and it is not snowing. beautiful COLD sunny day here
does anyone have ro7 please - my last one
reading is an excellent life skill and pure pleasure for me
well now i need my own miracle - to get to work on time! Toodle oodle!
well I should more... have improved but not at the level I would like... concentration level must improve even when the subject of which I am reading is boring... my mother can.
ok bbye good
what is the point of reading something boring unless for classroom?
because that is what I was in... and when it was boring or technical I would fall asleep reading and wouldn't be able to finish to understand the material. But I have the attitude I am not too old to improve my reading skills if a guy can learn to read at 78 I can improve my skills at 50
going to finish the last book of Harry Potter
ok - so it is classroom. Someday they will make some of those books easier to read. And I do not mean dumbing them down
I was a programmer for a while and without a teacher to translate - manuals were mostly useless.
translate from what?
I must say my concentration level has improved but in english... and hopefully it will in French
from tech doubletalk to tech useful.
ohhhh
doubletalk?
It was amazing some of the run-ons they had to say the simplest things. I don't think an editor had ever read them.
i am famous for constructing run on sentences... now I am aware of them because I went through a 12 step program for just that... Hi I am oodleberry and I am a run-on-a-holic.
It took them 3 chapters to explain handling tables. If x matches y do a ,if not, do b. Sounds simple doesn't it?
lol
re-hi babblers :)
hi welki
Of course we also had a teacher at that time that was totally incompetant too. He spent a whole day running from one end of the blackboard to the other explaining this concept...then when we arrived the next day told us to forget it - he was wrong! We went to head and had him fired!
welki go to 9:12 that's what the phone call was all about
omg hoot really? did he get fired?
anyway....I still need that ro7 and if no one has it I'm off to morewords
Good morning, babblers. I was so bored I finished the puzzle. haha
that's good news, oodle. bet you'd be happy to get back to work!
wtg inge.. gut arbeit
Hi Inge, help with the an7/32 and 8/45 please
Yes he was. We had to wait for another teacher to become available and then continue.
ro + cons + d 4
an 7: to put movement into a cartoon, an 8 is teh guie who does it
well it is a shame they can't screen teachers more effectively these days with the advancement in technology... and they can't screen teachers... something is wrong with this picture
cliché: we can put a man on the moon and we can't screen teachers
the an 7 ends in the fourth vowel, not e
Thank you inge!
Forgot I had 3 d4's

many years ago gifted femals became teachers, now they become lawyers and doctors, the Teaching profession is suffering\\\
3???
oh
I only have 2
ae0 ae 4 + n 5
ok I gotted it
Theoretically we can cause they don't get tenure right a way. But for a tech school that isn't the case, We also had another one who was a step freak. If our answers on a quiz were not EXACTLY as he laid them out - they were wrong! 98% of the class failed. We got rid of him too. When we finally got the new teacher he checked those tests too and 98% passed!
omg what a perfectionist
pr 8: pr + po**N + the doctor recommends a vit**** supplement
if it is not done in HIS way it was wrong how narrow minded
Had run into that in college too. The older the teacher, the more likely to be a stckler.
inge I don't have the n5
Anyway - now that I'm done I have to get to the stores before the crazies arrive to stock up for the millenium (ice). BBl to clue - have fun
sorry, that is pr + pr**n (a kind of atom) plus the suppleemnt ending

Have to admit not sure where Annency is but I am a pretty close neighbour really I live 6 miles from Dover so we could almosat wave at each other on a good day!!
Try 12.26 for that clue Ruby
Annecy is pretty far east, east of Lyon and south of Geneva but I'll stand on a hill and wave anyway, if we ever have a clear day
On a good day we can see France quirew clearly - then not again for weeks. We reckon you have it on a set of wheels and wheel it in and out!!!!

finding this one kinda unpleasant.
has anyone got the ro7?
crossy is not liking this grid;(
see my vest, see my vest, made from real gorilla chest...
i want it to be romaine, but it isn't.
i know - almost fits, but doesnt
lol evanadine, where did that come from?
like my loafres, former gophers,it was that or skin my chaufers...
from the Simpsons!
is it a clue of some sort for the grid, or just random fun?
random. :)
She's talking about Crossy again.
ro/7 = ro +to last, - the 1st en
feel this sweater -- theres no better than authentic irish setter!
ro + he who e*****s to the end ...
my slippers are albino african endangered rhino
thanks guys - would never have found that word
ty hurshy
the only other 7 i have is an7 - a cartoon marinara-making vegetable
see my red robin suit -- it comes one vest or two!
so if anyone wants to throw out any other clues for other 7's, or the 8's or the 9... that would be lovely
an8 is the one who makes the cartoon
*bonks self on head with fish*
anitomato?
pr/8 = "not amateur" + vi*****s and minerals
cut it down, hego - it's only a 7
ae 9 is ae (air -4 letters) + consonent + hebrew weight
thank you conx and lawyer and annie
lol Hursh, couldn't resist.
ha! thnx annie! :)
thanks, lawyer
is it weight? i thought it was money. i get so confused.
actually it is a hebrew measure
ae 9: ae 4 + alaskan city + r
shekel is money. seah is weight or volume, i forget which - something you can measure flour in. cubit is length...
i feel like there is another one for weight that starts with a t - what am i thinking of?
dont know
ton
tael?
just guessing
just guessing
i guess i'm just thinking of talents
*hums to self* grizzly bear underwear...
i guess weights and moneys were semi-interchangeable. you had a shekel OF silver for money, or whatever.
shekel is money...in poland, I believe
and omers and ephahs and seahs are all measures of dry capacity - like flour!!
right
shekel is Israeli
and then there's a hin of oil, liquid measure
omer is a measure of barley
flour, barley, anything you sell by volume in the dry goods realm
it refers to sacrifices
Counting of the Omer (or Sefirat Ha'omer, Hebrew: ספירת העומר) is a verbal counting of each of the forty-nine days between the Jewish holidays of Passover and Shavuot. This mitzvah derives from the Torah commandment to count forty-nine days beginning from the day on which the Omer, a sacrifice containing an omer-measure of barley, was offered in the Temple in Jerusalem, up until the day before an offering of wheat was brought to the Temple on Shavuot. The Counting of the Omer begins on the second day of Passover (the 16th of Nisan) for Rabbinic Jews, and after the weekly Shabbat during Passover for Karaite Jews, and ends the day before the holiday of Shavuot, the 'fiftieth day.'
Congratulations! You are all now officially Jewish.
yes but just because the sacrifice was that amount of barley doesn't mean that's the only use of omers.
anyhoo - how about 7's besides an and ro ?
no 7/32 ---no flesh

anyone heard of tzaddick katamar?
no con, please explain
getting late. Later kids
bye hego
it's a name of a dance. katamar is a place, I think. The dance is about the wise man of katamar going straight for his goal and then the fool going all over the place (in the same town)...
the dance bit the fool does is a lot more fun that the straight lined aim of the wise man! ;)
In the dance, that is, of course
fireworks
yay annie!
thanks for the explaination
*explanation
Congrats Annie! Goodmorning all

tearaway -- you may also wanna check out "AngelSong's Babble Page" linked at the bottom -- lots of useful tips there.
Enjoy the game Tearaway - but be aware that it is very addictive. If you stick around for more than a few days there are a few more useful 'tools' that you can use.

Hi all
Heya Mich
ty torgone
Hi torgone. I am actually not finding this grid so easy. Maybe I am over tired. (Well, not maybe)
Some toughies today .. I still have 21 to go
Uggh, I have 94 left. and it is almost 1AM here.
Hmmm, does the ae9 begin with any of the ae4s?
well, at least I found Gd!
yes nancy boy
Thanks, Good Enough :)
Thanks NB, found that! (By finding GD, I meant the de 5/16)
Tickled me, Mich ;)
Glad someone got it, NB.
tired as I am, even I cannot miss Jesus and friends :)
funny that there is de5/16 and de5/14 - opposites??
And I just got an am5 off the name of a ride at Thorpe Park, rather than any vocab skills!
Oooh Good Enough, I didn't see the other one! How bizarre
Good point, good enough. Hadn't hit me that way! Cute.
There was a famous house in Am 5 NY, that was known to house a de 5
actually it was am5+ville, & they made a movie about it.
oooh don't, I'll never sleep!
oooh true
only sweet dreams nancy!
Leave a light on NB, and don't go up to the attic. (he he - evil laugh)
I am truly the world's biggest wimp ;) luckily we don't have an attic! Just a pair of noisy people above us...devils in their own right
AH, OK then you are definitely safe. De5's never bother houses with noisy neighbors. It's a well known fact.
Even De5's know how bad neighbours can make a property depreciate :')
Exactly!!
I still have 3 blank tiles, if I could get those I would go to bed (I passed the 1/2 way mark with 70 left)
Can anyone clue the e from the bottom row?
NM got it
How about the r from the far right column?
Got that too
I think asking for help helps me. (Besides this is turning into a soliloquy here)
hi all. Care to share Michnick
THe r from the right row is the back of something. re 4
Sorry! I dropped off for a second...think it might be time to go to bed...
oh DUH!!!!!! thank you so much

All clues welcome

OOps, Just realized I don't have any of the N's from the middle - no sleep for me yet.

I have one Michnick. I wish I had a na**** waist
Now it's my turn to say "DUH!!" I had one once......
Is he from here, Mich? I get lost pretty easily in London. I can navigate Soho and somehow find my way to parties, but that's it...

Thanks for the clue, Mom, I got 2 others with that. (Now let's bemown our middles together).
ro 7/36 clue pls?

That's too right, Mom. Now I am trying to diet like a fiend just to fit back into normal. For me it's already a health issue.
ro = pres reagen + hard to en****
I am sorry to hear that Michnick. I hope it isn't serious
thanx
That all depends on me. I have diabetes and because I am a wheelchair user I don't get nearly enough exercise.
thanks for the clue for the 9. that would make it difficult
did i say hello? i honestly can't remember...
you did, TO and we all said hi back. Long day?
Difficult but hopefully not impossible. I've given away all my lovely thin clothing, but I'd lke to look normal in the bigger sizes at least. I am starting a new program next week.
Just have one more to do. can someone please give me a clue for the re 6/21
very
hi all....clue please for yo6/27 please?
It combines a personal trainer, a dietician and a behavioral therapist. It's pricey but it combines everything I need and will hopefully give me the push I need.
sorry to hear that TO
Hi Flask
The wild blue yo6.....
not getting ro7 last part of clue
re6/21 = stay
I wish you luck with that Michnick.
thanx Mich......and Hi Mom!
Thanks Mom, I'm going to need lots of support so I'll look to you friends for that.
Thank you sooooooo much! done... Can I help you with anything?
I will support you however I can.
Congrats Sue
a new brain , sue????
J.D. Salinger died! I was just thinking yesterday that he could die soon!
Matter of fact, we had a first visit with a nutritionist today. My sweetie is pre-diabetes.
My problem is that we are a big family and I cannot cook for just me. I have my husband, kids (b/w 5-7 depending on whose home), my MIL, a live-in helper and another girl living with us. I cook for everyone!
;-)
oh Kaplan, He just had a birthday
for me I mean
my friend thinks it's his fault bc he sent a critical email about catcher in the rye to someone this morning.
It's good you are catching it now Mom, makes it easier than fighting it later.
I really just thought about this yesterday- wondering if he would allow anything he is working on to be published
It's my fault! I thought about it!
Oh Hurshy, I hope he realizes that cannot be true. The press has been full of negativity for him for years!
i will reassure my friend that it was you, kaplan :)
Can't help you there I have enough trouble with the lack of brain power my self
Hi oodle
No one can make me outgrow my Salinger.
Really, well, if I live to be 91, I won't worry who takes responsibility!
don't worry mich, even if he believed it, he's too self-centered to be bothered by it
Raise High the Roofbeam, Carpenters!
bye all
Nice guy, Hurshy, huh?
did you get it TO. sorry im trying to solve, clue and cook - not doing any very well.
yes Michnick it runs in his family, his mom, dad and sister all have it
hi Good enough hage TO
bye TO, get some rest
I think I know all of his books by heart as I have been reading them since I was 12.
Idon't know that I have ever read any of his books.
i will return after dinner to finish
We are having cross-conversations- My nephew died at 15 from undiagnosed Type I diabetes.
Ah, I am the first in my family so I didn't take it too seriously at first. It started during one of my pregnancies but usually went away after birth. After baby number 7, I never got back to normal numbers.
could someone clue the 9 pls?
I didn't so much read Salinger as view his "Prose home movies" over and over
oh Michnick, that is tough
Baby number seven, Mich?! Wow
That's horrible Kaplan! I did kim, scroll back a bit.
oh Kaplan, I am sorry
Not so tough, I became disabled with baby #5, so I can handle tough. But I do have to be more disciplined!!
It was almost 4 years ago...
7 babies? Are you "dati" (that's Hebrew)
It measures wind speed. Kim M
Michnick, we could start a Let's Get Disciplined group. I really could use that as well
Yes, Kaplan, and then some. In my neighborhood we are an average size family. Nothing like the Duggers, but 10 isn't unusual.
really? i thought that was an anemometer
What Hurshy?
ae +a mans name + one of the simpson's names H....
Are you in Bnei Brak?
Great idea, Mom. Like I said, I know my key is to get support.
No, Jerusalem.
thanks for the 9!
Mea Shearim? Or is that TOO too?
Definitely Too TOO. Can't you see how "modern" and normal I am - I'm on the computer!!
the thing that measures wind speed.
Ah, thanks.
You're right ms. hurshy ..
ae9 is a person ..
Kaplan, How well do you know different communities here? Any relatives? I wonder if we're related, half my Mom's family are Kaplans.
lol. Mich. I stayed in Mea shearim for 4 days with a family about 30 years ago. It was like the 17th century
Sorry! Did you get it?
I understand. How did you come to stay with them?
Is there a way you can backchannel e-mail me so I can disclose names of family members.
hello all
Kaplan, I don't know how to do that.
The rabbi who married my parents in 1946 had many relatives in Mea Shearim and he broght me there. Lucky I had my black tights. But I used to smoke in those days so would have to wait for the men to leave so I could steal their cig butts and smoke in secret
Hello, pippingeek

Fish slap! TY!
Oh man, oodle, I thought that was a clue for the ho, so I was trying the Hotrod again and again!
Sorry, MKG, I was chatting with Yitachak Isaac. We are both crazy night owls, but I must go to sleep now.
oh sorry red
perfectly Ok oodle, I was not following chat well...
I am up to 72, pretty pleased with myself for just geting started a while back...
Oh well, Good night all!
but red I asked for a clue for the ho6
i don't have it oodle..sorry!
yes, I was not following chat well oodle, thats how I make errors.
ok I'm sorry I won't do it again ;)
No no, my fault entirely. I just was watching tv and thinking about work and babbling...
i really wish my salinger books were not in storage..
what do you do for work red?
oodle, I am a Nurse.
oodle...ho 6..if I added a sticky golden syrup to my oatmeal, i could say that I HO**** it.
ok and there are so many of you though
ty car
I didnt get that though car, I think I know what you mean.... slow, working on it so thanks.
hi all

Congratulations kim m on your fireworks! Good for U
Does the ae 9 build off the ae 4 before it?
JMC, I'm impressed. I've been reading up on you. (No, I'n not a stalker!)
lol don't be too impressed lawyer I would need a bigger foil cap!
i did think of you today
uh-oh....what did I do now?
at the meeting we watched part of a CBS piece on religious lobbyists in which several of the people in the room participated
i meant to get the url for you
(oxymoron my eye)
and I was in the movie?????
;-)
lawyer, are you a religious lobbyist?
no lol red i am and he was talking about how that was an oxymoron
I can't even lobby my kids!
Hi lawyer-1! How are you doing? Welcome to the grid
Just curious. I knew "about you jmc" My parents like you.
hi miner.
minver.
In the last millenium, I did lobby a bit on behalf of the insurance industry, but that was in another life
the feeling is mutual red
hi, min
so, if you ever need a weekend away from the city...
*shocked look*
yes, red?
insurance is a religious issue?
RED!
Oh, I hate to admit it, but I was offerring my poor parents and their home, its close to DC and has a nice red covered bridge, and good Alcohol, and my Moms cooking which is not as good as it used to be....
if I need a weekend away from the city?
Probably I should not invite people to their home so much though.
Well Lawyer....you might have to endure a poetry reading first.
well they may want to be consulted lol
i liked your dad's poetry
it was the other people's i thought a little too too
Given my Dad's profession, a lot of strange people showed up unannounced at our house all through my life, they are a bit used to it, though it has not occurred in recent years.
help with the U please
jmc, both have to do with pee
red, what is your dad's profession?
*smack*
but backwards words are hard!
my Dad is a writer, and back then it was the 70's....
after a year i should be able to see backwards
does he write other than poetry?
he has a book out on Edward Hopper, and some essays on jazz...but no fiction. We think its funny he lives where he does in the same town as Dean Koontz- total opposites.
a book on Edward Hopper is interesting
I haven't read it...I have it somewhere.
my forearms are so weak from climbing even typing is hard now. it's good to be able to laugh at myself
Pipping were you rock climbing? I used to do that...no more.
i did - i needed something cool to do since i stopped doing trapeze and aerial fabric, but i'm so out of shape i don't last much more than an hour! time to start with the pullups again
!!!
Pippin, I have a fe** or heights that I developed after 30, oddly, so that is really cool!
interesting - one of the instructors at the aerial studio actually started because he had a fear of heights - it's much more manageable when you're in total control of your height..
oops, pb for me, i'll go in the corner
I used to do a lot of bouldering after but, I have to say, definitely no climbing up outside....
serves pippin ravioli....garlicy bread.
not a lot of structures in florida, so this is a gym, but a really good place, i like it
mmm, ravioli and garlicky bread sounds amazing! dad's patty melt didn't do it for me
what is pippin ravioli?
i thought the same thing at first!
lol kje
hi kje, I was serving the babbler Pippin some ravioli!
apparently i am tasty
hello babblers
Pippin Florida is pretty flat, but then there is Clermont. The gem of the hills.

hi kje
Hello pippingeek! I have been here almost every day.
been working a lot, so i guess we're just on at different times
I am eating my first McD french fry in... well I can't remember the last time, but a long time
man these are good when they are good
helps if they are really hot
they are fresh, hot, salty, and perfectly crisp
I usually do not get here until after 10 in the evening
would have been better if they were mediocre so I wouldn't want more
mmm got me salivating kje
m's maxed!
Marvelous pippingeek!
7 more but i'm just monkeying at this point for most of it
complain complain complain
i will kick you in the head, jmc! honest, my foot goes up that high!
(sorry, my day has been full of good-natured mock violence, i got carried away)
wow, and jmc thought I was violent
why pip??
i was talking to kje who was complaining about her food being good! lol
*puts on helmet*
geeze
LOL jmc... haven't seen your helmet in awhile
oh, that's extra funny, i somehow got that associated with my whining about monkeying. but it's a lovely helmet!
my bike helmet is silver and i stencilled red sparkly stars all over it. here, want some sour skittles? they're yummy
is it just me? I am not finding this grid super friendly... maybe it is b/c of the junk food
the lack of s is always a bummer
at least i didn't feel the need for a flak jacket
your just a whoose.. stop yer whining
i am struggling myself
just a what?
*whine whimper*
I'm struggling with this grid toward the end of it kje.

Now it is ti 4/5 for another one of my story of clues. I usually endu 4/6 my daily commute to work, but my commute today went aw4/10 because of weather. It got a little ha5/16 when the cars were sliding on the road. Ho4/5s were blaring left & right. It was a very ha 6/33ing experience for me. The parkways were a mess&I had this fe 4/7 of being stuck in traffic for 5 hours so I came back home. I did not care one io 4/4 that I didn't go to work. When I returned back home I played this game I am so fo 4/8 of. I'm even fo 6/30 of the babblers who are so friendly and do not mi4/6 giving a helping ha 4/6 with clues. Since I was fr 4/7 all day I ai 5/14 to finish the grid today. The grid was we 4/8 than other grids that I have seen. Was going to re6/21 here and help with clues, but I am going to go wa 6/33 off to eat a fo 5/20 dinner & then figure out what I am going to we 4/8 tomorrow.I hope I am not being too ru 4/6 by not staying to clue.Sweet dr 5/14 to all!

An fo 5/20 word is fo 4/8 word plus a vowel Mpittore.
Hello Jellen! How are you doing? Welcome to the grid!

yw
brb going to look for extra blanket at hotel lobby to cover my husband..it's getting really cold...supposed to be 4 degrees and very windy
it's getting really cold here, too MP.
Can someone please clue no6 for 30? is no 6 for 30? Last one!
??? where are you it is that cold and why are you in a hotel???
no6= not + military conflict
like the invasion of Grenada back in the 80s :)
Is Pini back yet? I had to take a break; then had a LONG phone cal
only 25 here... wish it were colder though
Unreal, thanks a million!
we've got your cold here, oodle, never fear

hi, mcurl
oh why are you in a hotel... and you are colder than here... that is strange
Goodnight to my fellow babblers!I'll see you tomorrow
uh ok I am confuzzled
bbye Min
night night, MIN
g'night min, rest well
oodle, when MP gets back, we'll hopefully find out.
you are in washington dc right seain?
oodle, I'm in MN and it's -1 (F) here with a wind chill of -20 (F)
ohhhhh ok... but usually we are colder than the south
west of the city, but yes. it's only 28/15 wind chill here, so MP must be on travel somewhere
and I mean south of the canadian US border
Boston is very cold, but it's N of the primary border and N of Toronto, if still S of Quebec
yes sir
we are above Maine
and ND/MN/MT are very cold in the Winter
we're currently relatively warm. it's 29°F
QC is mostly above ME, but Montreal and Quebec City are W of ME
I think we are always colder than Toronto and Montreal. I know Quebec is farther north than those 2 cities, but i never hear about the temp in Quebec.
yes
Hello
hi, lady
we are 25F
has anyone seen Luc around lately - montreal13?
no
been wondering about him myself... seldom saw him here
hi herin. How are you tonight?
Hi, herin
I saw Monty recently in the depths of our night
wow, it's toasty up there for now, no oodle?
hi herin
I am ok. Just hanging in there. I wish people would stop reminding me my holidays are over in a week
ah, so he's on early AM here, when i'm usually asleep.
toasty?
meaning warmer than usual :)
herin, so back to school soon that means?
herin *I* didn't mention your holiday. How come you have one now?
I am fairly sure that I have seen him. Maybe asking on FB to see if the others have.
Means I really have 1 week left to get my brain together.
anything below freezing for me is cold above freezing it's toasty...and then my coat is too hot for me
Nef. I am ok. I am just getting there. I am a bad fur mum I didn't feed the kitties for well over 12 hours as I slept in
well, either way, it's warmer than i'd expect for there
oh, woe is them, herin LOL
however it is seasonal but it could be colder
Nef in all honestly just battling the good old holiday time depression.
well, not feeding fur babies for that long means they will get their revenge
my memories of visiting family up that way is that October is freezing cold my standards, oodle :)
Nef it means they just stare at me when I try and sleep
Oodle I don't get how you can live in that sort of cold brr
herin, that kind of cold is not too horrible when it's like that for months on end, but it does get tiresome.
herin, my DH and I met at a taco and tequila party at my sister's back on Jan 18th, 1973. We got married 14 months later; but we had T&T parties for about 25 years on the weekend closest to that date that I had off just to avoid the cabin fever /January/winter blues
awww Nef that is very sweet. My boi and I celebrated 7 years on Tuesday by doing nothing
:-) Yay for anniversaries!
congrats to you both nef and herin
Herin - if you've never lived for any length of ti4 outside the Antipodes. you wouldn't 'get' the cold thing. You have no idea what cold feels like. LOL.
I'm back...tucked sleeping husband in and scared the heck out of him...looked back in chat and yes we are at ski resort killington vermont for a week and it is very cold supposed to be 4-5 degrees and very windy not sure what wind chill will be...heading home Sat. back to grid 43 left...
Jac I hate cold
We've now been married for 36 years and still celebrate both the night we met and our wedding anniversary
wb, MP, and you'd mentioned you'd gone to Killington, but i'd plumb forgot
herin, only visit the Northern Hemisphere in your Winter then
opps 6 years
and to prove that we are very nerdy our first movie was Underworld and I remember exactly what I wore to.
Nef - that'ss great. I wih I could remember the exact date of either anniversary. It's a second real one, and is just working. Mabe that's why I don't know the dates exactly.
you get used to it herin... when I moved to florida for the first time in jan 97 I wondered why everyone was wearing coats and sweaters... after being there for 3 years my blood thinned out and got used to the warmer temps... in january of the 3rd year I was there I froze my butt of and it was only 50 degrees I had to get a space heater. It took another 3 years to get used to the cold here... now with a coat 40 degrees is hot
Jac we have 2 dates too.
Why the heck would you move to the brrrr from Florida
cause Florida ain't all that, herin
because of the hurricanse and I wanted to go to school here.. which didn't work out
First speaking, first meeting we ould probably get from archives on pc. But HE knows the dates and I don't/
and like seain said it certainly isn't all that... well Ft Lauderdale isn't
Sorry i meant from the warm to cold. sorry
ro7, pls?
maybe I don't know anything anymore
my first date lead to figs
S Florida, S Texas, S Arizona and S California warmest places in mainland US
night night everyone! see you tomorrow
nite, lbd!
fresh, dried, or newtons, BR?
gnight lbd
be well, lbd
g'night, lbd
night LB
ro7, McDonald or Reagon + hope you can end*** the cold.
seain, ro* (man's name) + how long can you en**** a bore?
All I know is that the first time we met in person we were talking a lot but still quite nervous around each other. He said goodnight at the door and gav me a peck on the lips. I'd never believed in the ELECTRICTY thing before. but it happened. He knew it too, but came back up the path to try again to checlk. We've been together ever since.
thanks, nef
all the below
how charming, jac :)
awww Jac
:) BR
Yea, love at first kiss.
electric moments can be quite shocking
Actually sadly we have 3 dates that we meet. Hi BR
BR - indeed they can!
you have 3 dates you meet herin? huh?
just as long as you are not juiced
hawe
Ok sorry. I met the B.f on 3 occasions before the 3 one that started it all.
ok g'night
BR - no both of us were alcohol free and drug free when we met.
okay. Do you celebrate all 3 dates too?
so, your were well-grounded
Any occasion to celebrate is not bad.
Cup weekend November we met at a friends party that she was trying to match make. then the same friend set him up as my date for the office party in Dec 20 and we watched Batman v Mr Freeze till 2am then he slept in my room under his own blanket on my bed and then we meet up on Australia day and watched Underworld and then we have been pretty much stuck together since
true, Jac
And no we don't really celebrate other than Hey by the way
BR I am well grounded with him :D
BR we'd been talking for months on-line and on the 'phone before we met.
Me and Beloved don't have An Anniversary to celebrate. We differ re the time we actually became 'A Couple', and until he gets off his backside and does The Divorce, after us being together for almost 7 years, I doubt we'll ever have an anniversary.
+
poor Jac.
hi Pini. Are you just back now?
* thx, Koda, for letting everyone know I'm back, I'll take over now *
yes, Nef...
LOL, Herin. Don't forget I became the mother of his teenaged daughter last year, also. I'm A Saint, apparently.
have you finished?
I waited for you. I still have 88 left
Dealling with a teen you have to be a saint
oh, gosh, you didn't need to wait for me!!!
I'm at 70/76...need 3 more to list ;)
I wish I WAS a saint, but I'm npt, Herin.
I had a LONG phone call from a friend; then when I got back here I've been chatting
*not
I was distracted by Koda, dinner, a short phone call, changed into jammies, and am back to take the final stab at this thing
I'm going to go to bed now and put my cold feet on Beloved's bum to warm them. That should get him up for work on time.
i listed at 76 myself, pini, good evening
hi dc ;)

oooh, i have pims still. brb

how big is Koda? What kind of dog is he?
Koda is a tri-color beagle standing about 12" at the shoulder (weigh about 25 lbs)
Pim's Orange, from LU. cake-like cookie with mamalade layer topped with chocolate
Ooooh, I found a word!!! an5 (japanese cartoon)
oooh, sounds interesting, dc
73/73...to the list I go!!!!
Woo Hoo Pini!
Safeway sells them, and so might Kroger, er Fred Meyer
2 stores I don't shop at because they're too expensive, dc ... might have to stop by for "just one thing"
found 2 words already!! :)
I thought you meant Pims as in the drink
here, Safeway is one of the cheapest
never heard of the drink, herin
Pimms
Here (from high to low): Market of Choice, Safeway, FM, Albertsons, Winco, Walmart
i will say that while we were there, Fred Meyer underwhelmed us with their prices
looked twice but oreos are not in grid...checing under chair, behing computer, they've got to be here somewhere...nope not an orea in sight...too cold to drive to store...a banana will have to do..peeling ban.
Hello all!
poor MPitt...
I might have an oatmeal choco-chop cookie here I could sneak from Koda :)

* blink * if you must, MPitt!! :)
Thanks again, pini.
am5ville horror
well golly gee whiz, BR...you might spoil my fun! (PS: HEY!)

am5ville is an exit off the Long Island Expressway.
am4/5 sounds like the ending to a prayer

Thanks everyone, off to bed now.
g'night, carol
night night carol
yep lost my brain too
* twas probably a good thing I didn't have my glasses at work today, I probably would've really hurt someone *
why Pini? What happened?
I think i should finish breakfast (it is 340pm ) and start my day
njoy, herin
Let's say I gave up dealing with the arrogance and stupidity and turned over 3 different projects to the dept head and/or college dean...I basically told my dept head I was done and wouldn't deal with them anymore
herin, you really should start your day soon! ;-)
Pini you need this at work : http://tinyurl.com/yaua5sd
goodness, pini, what a day
hi everyone
I'm pleased to report...my dept head had had enough to and forwarded them straight on to the Dean's office!
(so it wasn't just me) * sighing with relief *
that's brilliant, herin! thanks for sharing
that's good nows, herin
herin...bringing that url up now ;)
er, pini rather - the good news
(the coffee must be getting to me)
That IS a relief! I was concerned about your continuing to be employed for a minute!!!
oooooh, definitely, herin...where do I place my order???
Or this option http://tinyurl.com/yaov85z
thankfully, my dept head and I work very well together and if one or the other of the two of us wasn't there, the other wouldn't be there either...
Make it youself Pini
Might have to seriously consider that, herin!!!! LOL
2nd one's nifty, but the 1st one more up my alley
Pini, I'm falling asleep now; so I'm quittingnow
The other option is buy a really old and boring book that is slightly damaged and stick all the pages together. Trace out the middle a flask shape and turn it into a flask book
sweet dreams, nef
I prefer the first one, too...my fridge is in plain view in my office...but the binders...that's another story
no problem, Nef...thx for holding out for me...take care and sleep well!!!
oh, herin, you are a clever one!
53 to go...doable if I pay attention?
indeed so, pini
ma5s are morning bells
Etsy sell them for about $40. You need to pick a book that is old and falling apart or buy a ''book safe'' and hide it in there. I hate to destroy old books
ok...less talking for me, more typing for my monkey!
sonnez les ma5es... :)
english, dc, english! ;)
english at 10:48
i was a teen before i learned that one in English, though
looks flowerese to me!
I think with binder covers you just find recycle binders take of the covers there is a hinge part on most binders and tape them together on the inside the width of the shelf you want to hide
I don't speak that either ;)
hot glue or rubber cement better than tape for that application
Oh, I'm sure I could handle that, herin...thx for the idea!!!!
You use that silver tape the one that has fabric in it. The stuff used on carpets
People use the binders to make steampunk covers for the laptops
duct tape!
hot glue!
No Silver tape. Its different to duct tape.
What is steampunk?
we used that silver stuff to duct tape my nephew to a garage wall once...it actually held him up (he was about 3yo)...it held him for the 10 mins we left him hanging! :)
duct tape not the answer to all.
I found hot glue melts the plastic and some glues don't adhere to the binder
DC wash your mouth out
* giggle *
steampunk is victorian as it should have been
lol pini
so, monochrome brown/black victorian wear, with mechanical augmentation.
my son-in-law made a tux out of duct tape for himself and an evening gown for my daughter. Her dress was purple duct tape.
Ok I have it sorry Nonnie. Its Victorian Fashion but mixed with Science fiction
they have a steampunk city in SecondLife...
oh thanks dc and herin
http://www.datamancer.net/ Noni
This is the man that makes stuff of my dreams
hold on...phone call
http://preview.tinyurl.com/2l49bp is how to steampunk a computer keyboard
Pini I had a long indepth discusion with boi about the differences of Duct tape and Silver tap
looking ...
(scroll to bottom for final result)
silver tape seems to be like what we call string-reinforced packing tape, which is not silver in color
OK DC we have it here its Silver and really strong
I like the steampunk idea from a fashion design sense
with you on the steampunk, herin
second pr4/5 and last pr6/33 clue?
DC I meant the silver tape sorry
pr + double vowel
change vowel in other pr6
DC i have to decorate my coper straw
ah, silver tape here is mylar, from 3M. Duh, plumbing tape. Been a while since i did much plumbing.
clue for the ae9 please

dr, sort of like a machine to measure the air
add 2 vowels then, MP
toward first letter, if you will
oh my gracious...the keyboard looks great but what a lot of tedious work.
agreed, nonnie :)
No DC its not MYlar. ITs tape with fabric weaved through it
hardcore steampunks bother with that, but not most
i'm say what it is in US :)
ty DC _ got it
I just think it is prety
well done, dr, that was oblique as clues go
Ok DC its thin Mylar sorry I sw Mylar as errr foil
It reminded me of the old typewriters, herin.
me too, nonnie
foil tape is another name for it here, herin :)
dc not getting it need 3rd pr4/5 monkey panting
hi everyone

yes, show dogs rule...my first companion was CH Quivera's Shadow Dancemaster, aka, Disco. I was gifted him in lieu of a new born mini schnauzer; he was a year old and I had him for 5 before he contracted Valley Fever and I had to put him down. Beautiful, smart and I received him because he attacked his papa, who had been shown at Westminster. Papa obv was worth more...but Disco was my first and he looked great!
