110 left bed time night all happy babbling
thanks
you can reshape grem's profile box so that it is tall and narrow, then move it over to the side of the screen
Clues for my last 50 - Yay Grem!!
brb
and I'm back -- did you miss me? No? Darn.
sure did
LOL!
It's a "phew" for me -- had to print 160 sheets and my machine is on its last legs -- but it held up and the job is done, phew!
fantastic! that's a lot of printing
did it 10 at a time, just in case
that's what I do when I run things for my hubby...

oh -- warning to highwire -- in about 4 minutes there will be a hiccup here when nothing will enter, so don't keep hitting Enter. It just lasts a little while. Happens every night/day at this time (midnight grid time)
wierd
some sort of technical adjustment, we think
ok bed time. work tomorrow. night all
g'night highwire
night highwire -- see you next time I hope :)
yep. g'nite
way past bedtime, I would think, lol!
jilli is it 2am for you too?
no, ursh, it's just past midnight here
oh ok just past 9am here
back
wb dee :)
ty
ursh, the grid time is Central North American Daylight Saving.
laaaaate flip
should I go to bed or dive in?
hi
would it help you make up your mind if you knew gremlin finished a little while ago?
I'd assume he and dart were finished if they were here
well, it took him more than 10 minutes this time, lol
I don't think dart finished, did he, dee?
I only finish in under 10 minutes if it's amazingly small/easy or if lickety posts clues in the first few minutes
lol. so it's a toughie. Well, I grayed the upper e so when I stop, I'll feel happy about SOMETHING
not sure jili; I didn't see
fireworks
I'm slowly approaching halfway and will head for bed when I get there
YAY dee!!!
wtg Dee
ty
nice dee!
and good luck on halfway, jilli. I don't think I'll get there gefore bed
I know Eire won't work, but I have to try it
definitely needed grem for last 40
I always do, too jili
when will we ever learn...
lol never I guess...
hah! exactly halfway!
well, I am off for some cough medicine and an antibiotic... wtg jili
wtg jilli
antibiotic?
got coughed on one too many times last week... have the crud
bronchitis, dee?
if it's a virus, antibiotics won't work
wish people would stay home when they are sick... irritates me to death... I think it is more in my head and sinuses and cough is just from drainage, but time will tell
but I hope you'll be better soon
think it started as a virus and ended up as infection in my sinuses (yes, you are correct)
I so agree about people staying home when sick.
very frustrating, especially with those of us who have compromised immune systems
well, take care, dee
okay, that is my soapbox for the day HA HA...ty jili; hugs to you (germ free)... poofing
cya the flip
*waves to departing dee
agree - couple weeks ago, a couple of bridge players came with bad colds - there was jilli with the hand sanitizer, coughing, handling the cards that we would later pick up
g'night Dee
I wasn't the sickie
sorry jilli - that came out rather twisted!
you were the life saver
LOL!
should read before hitting enter!
flosey, I sent you an email a few minutes ago
oh, thanks, I'll read it now
ah, super
hope she'll be back
she said she would :)
no doubt hooked already!
I think she got hooked when they were here and I showed her
good for you, jilli - you've brought in a few haven't you
just you and the late dilly so far -- tried for more, but they didn't bite
is Jean still playing? think she said she was playing but didn't bother chatting
just the night owls eh!
oh, I don't know! Funny Jean.
yes, I'd think she would enjoy the chat
I can't figure her out
nor I
she and I both leaving the AH committee this year
Patricia took over the scoring from me
how long have you been on it? Jean?
I've been on 4 years, don't know about Jean
phant -- eight
I tried that
that's enough, right?
Good evening jilli and flosey and morning to those in my time zone :)
hello FM
good morning, FM! Nice day?
Trust all is well with you both?
great, thanks Mitch
Very damp and overcast at the mo but it is still early.
just fine, thanks
Heavy rain last night has flattened the crocus but water is good for the garden and the temp is already +14
blow hard and the clouds will obediently drift away
kitty just stopped by for a head rub
we're having a bit of a cold snap here
awww
Ata was showing me some brilliant pics of her cat yesterday, in catnip heaven!
I think they were on FB, weren't they?
yes
such bliss!
but as I am not on FB I hadn't seen them
Sily is so photogenic and such a pretty pusscat.
I'm on it mainly for Lexulous but I haven't been keeping that up either. I do drop in to see what's up from time to time
oh well. must sleep. got 140 done, but stopped dead now
night all!
I have kept that email you sent me jilli re the place you lived for a while near me and will be going out to explore soon. Will take my camera and let you know. :)
Nighty night freep
Oh great, FM!
Well done, freep -- I only have 122 and I'm crashing
what a lovely thing to do FM
I will wait for a sunny day so that you can see blue skies rather than grey.
well, I have 75 to go and they'll have to wait for tomorrow
off to bed, goodnight all
I haven't even started yet but it is only 10 to 8 in the morning. Bye flosey.
look for the stile past the church. I bet it's still there. My cousin and I used to climb over it and get into the fields. We were scared we'd run into some bulls we were told were there but we never saw one.
well done, flosey -- I now have 100 to go -- nice even number to leave for tomorrow although again I won't have much time.
oh I will look for that then and the bulls :)
I'm pretty sure they were ficticious, mentioned so that we wouldn't wander too far.
*grin*
Time for breakfast so will say TTFN.
time for bed so ditto!
Good night all, and *poof*
((()))
PS -- there's a list in gremlinn's profile
How many words today please

and repoof
Thanks
gremlinn...if you are still online may I take a moment to thank you for the lists you post in your profile! Many times I wouldn't have seen fireworks without you!
you're welcome
could you tell a curious fellow babbler what your picture represents?
it often brings a smile!
it's a "chog" (half chicken, half dog)
a joke on the other meaning (chog = chat log)
cute! we had a liger here in Utah at our zoo...for real!
ah, I'll bet those are a bit easier to breed
he died many years ago and is now on display...stuffed...if you can imagine!
yes, easier to breed!
I wonder what you feed a chog?
corn biscuits
hmmm...
it is 2:12 am here...off to bed...
g'night
I'm missing e and n in upper left for NBT, any clues?
There's an en5/12 and its past tense, plus ep4 and its plural.
Ty
nu4 - alternative spelling to rhyme with Miss Moffet's whey accompaniment.
Morning Haz abd tfg
You're welcome. Good morning/evening all.
ooh, people!
Oooh, hurshy!
why is not eggier a word?
A good question.
Hi hursh
Sounds like a word to me
hiya.
Since it accepts the adjective, you'd think the comparative should work.
and i'm sure i've heard people use it.
Like the cake needs to be eggier?
Ther are some great p words today
or this french toast is eggier than i like
lol
There are lots of real words enable doesn't allow
tfgirl, can you make your photo icon smaller? It's because it's so big that the chat log is being jerky and not scrolling normally. I haven't the smallest clue how to do it, mind you.
that's weird, haz, it's not doing that for me, it's the size of everyone else's
Or maybe you shouldn't eggier on? Heheh
Maybe babble is just being strange for me today. I had to log on - haven't had to log on for ages, especially weird since I hadn't logged off.
Think it might be you Ha
U don't like my giant-tongued dog? The pic is same sized for me too, but I'm going to bed anyway. I'll try to crop it tomorrow
if anybody knows the cropping site, I'd be grateful, because I haven't been able to change my icon since ata put it in for me
and BTW, good morning everybody
windows or mac, ruby?
Sorry about the bad egg pun, it's late. G'night all *poof*
windows, hurshy and gm
Bye tfg, sleep well. And I've heard MUCH worse puns.
Morning ruby
hello FM
Good morning, ruby.
my daffs have bus -- one week away from blossoming, I think
buds not bus*
hello haz
ok, go into your profile and right click on the pic. choose save and save it to your desktop. open it up. it should open in microsoft picture manager. go to tools... i think tools... if not explore the menus until you find the crop tool... crop as desired. there's also resize if you just want to make it shrink. save when you're done, then go back to your profile and say you want to upload a new pic, choose the file, and presto.
ty, hurshy, I'll try it again in a little while after I try to get a few words
hurshy, did you get your problems sorted out with the rearranging of the dates?
PHone...
yeah.
That's good.
Still frustrating, though, when people make life more difficult than it needs to be.
yes. but today i go to see the kiddies!
That will be fun!
yes!
It's very nice when small children consider you to be wonderful.
But then, you probably think the same about them.

Bye, ruby.
name that proper noun! some say he sleeps upside down like a bat... all we know is... he's called
The Stig!
ding ding ding!
Do you know the origin of the name?
hmm... they're gits and he's the opposite?
It was the name attached to the small boys at Jeremy Clarkson's school. So when one of the big boys required something done, they'd yell for a Stig.
oh bother, i've said a word
ha!
public school, then?
Nobody will have noticed. I take it you enjoy Top Gear?
from Stig of the Dump?
didn't picture jeremy as a public school boy. yes, indeed i enjoy top gear estremely.
Yes, public school. Not sure whether Stig of the Dump was the original inspiration or not.
very very public school. his accent gives it away
It's funny, I'm not into cars at all, but I do watch Top Gear and enjoy it. But James May has been needing a hair cut for years.
james haircut yes. is he or is he not actually gay?
don't reckon
not that I know of
No idea. I'd imagine he'd be better groomed.
they're always joking about it
Oh look, more peole! Hello, lynxx and Katie.
i suppose if he were they might not.
Hi
*people
according to wiki he lives with his partner sarah and a cat so can't be a bad person!!
Morning everyone
oh Hursh - how the little angel has grown!
sarah and a cat. that sounds nice.
Oh well, if he's got a cat and a Sarah, he can't be bad. You'd think Sarah could shear that mop while he was sleeping.
it IS a wonder any woman will put up with it
James May has done series separately about toys of yesteryear and about inventions etc. I think he's a very good communicator but decidedly in need of a haircut.
Was watching an nold show with him in it the other day, looked rather ordinary with a neat haircut though
i love hammond. and oliver.
nold = old
Of course, we haven't seen what Sarah looks like. She might be ripe for a makeover as well.
it's his trademark now
He could get another trademark. He could wear a bow tie.
Or a bowler hat.
speaking of trademarks!
I sense a proper noun coming, or a trademark...
Hello
Hello, herin.
etrade has been doing ads with a baby talking about stocks for a while and they did a superbowl one where the baby was videochatting with a girl baby and she said, "that milkaholic lindsay isn't there, is she?"
Lindsay Lohan?
and lindsay lohan is suing them because, her lawyer claims, they have unfairly used her name/persona without compensating her, because she has the kind of one-name recognition of madonna or oprah.
hi Infernal
if she hadn't said anything, i never would have thought to associate it with her. lindsay is a common enough name. now she's essentially declared herself a tramp and a drunk.
I'd be more upset about the implications of addictive personality.
waves
I'd be more worried about how far too sensitive she was being
and to have one name recognition i think your name kind of has to be unusual. oprah might not just be called oprah if her name was linda.
LIndsay is the only well-known female that I can think of and it's pretty sad that the -oholic gave the extra clue.
I would have known they were talking about her with the addiction reference lol
the thing is, i don't know that they WERE talking about her. i think they accidentally stumbled into this.
On a completely different tack, I find those ads with talking babies or babies dancing etc to be quite creepy.
i just think it's ridiculous - too sensitive and too world-revolves-around-me
Maybe she retains lawyers to be sensitve on her behalf.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=paw0M7p 1-8k
lol
why can't we have eggier????
If you haven't seen this - you should
thank you, graham!
whatsit lynxxx?
too busy watching To Sir With Love
baby ad - very funny
shudder
exigent, erudite
Lynxx that advert is disgusting.
oh come on Infernal it's so true! you obviously haven't been a Mum
In my experience, no 2 was signalled much more vigorously!
No I haven't and lord forbid I want to. But exploding poo is disgusting. We don't have adverts on tv for condoms because they are offensive but it is ok for baby poo
I suppose if the condoms adverts worked, there'd be less need for exploding nappy devices.
haz beat me to the joke :)
I don't know whether herin is laughing, though.
And I agree with Haz. not laughing though.
Oh well, we'll move on to something else.
that ad where the boy 'wants to do a poo at Paul's house' is awful, and the previous one in that series for air freshener, I could strangle him
perhaps if he goes to Paul's house we will be rid of him
Anyway, I'd better go, someone's calling soon and I need to get more civilised looking. (And if I were Paul's mum, I'd tell him to get lost!)
ttfn haz!
Bye for now!
i mean toodle-pip!
bye Haz
Sorry seems today I took cranky pants pills
Hang over from yesterday Infernal - you get the weekend to relax - not stress
ha ha Haz, bye!, i must go too got to prepare for my sis coming round for dinner tonight, got to call in for a JCB to clear the dust
bye Mummy too
I think I need Easter to hurry up
30% of my remaining words are 8's
bye all, see you later for my last 107
i have ae and ne - anybody got others?
Sorry
te is just like the ne
(that's it from me)
thanks lynxxx
is that the 8s?
that's 3 of em
Cheers
hello everybody, in reading over the chat, it's hilarious! They have condom ads on Frecnh TV, also the "Paul" add, but no explosing poop. Also the animated babies -- worse than poop
hi Ruby
hi lynxx, my daffs have buds since yesterday! yay
hi herin. Are things better today?
Back again, ae8/45 - one with taste.
hi again haz
lovely clue, ty
Hello! I managed to get civilised looking just in time. Friend has called and is away again.
that was quick
I'm actually dressed but still haven't cleaned up elaborate Saturday breakfast! Don't feel like it
mmm - no cup runneth over? but pr7.36 is OK
I know. The civilising was done on a very rapid timescale, I'll be more thorough before I venture out!
haz do you have the other two, we have ae, ne, te mentioned.
th8 is another.
hmm, pr7 NOT
th8/45 , an awkward age
I'm missing one 8.
thanks... why the most normal of them, i miss??
Sometimes they just don't reveal themselves.
the 60's? awkward? lol
and usually we don't see the words for numbers written out, i guess.
TY Haz
Just checking through the archive, the last 8 is an uncommon pr8. (uncommon according to gremlinn)
i thought it might be pr, since i need 3 p's
still stuck on the age thing-y
seems french - builds on the levered up word - TY Grem
It's a number, ruby, signals the beginning of the crossover between childhood and adulthood. Think angst and acne.
duh, I was looking at the wrong th!
oh, i have heard that word, only i don't think it was all one word
tks for your patience
i'm sure i've seen it in dorothy sayers
No problem.
thank you lynxxx
I can't believe the pr8 isn't French and unacceptable, but thnk you
is it what you kneel on?
It's certainly French and I'm pretty sure that it's two words normally.
apparently - but not me
It's normally hyphenated. Enable is a law unto itself, isn't it?
I just looked it up in my petit Robert French dictionary, and it wasn't even there!
all kinds of "prie" words, but not that one
Just really why my skin is all red and itchy on the face...my Angels Trumpet is full bloom and the perfume is heavenly at night - but hell on my skin
I'm all rashy, too, hoping the sun will make it go away.
now getting ready for lunch (out - TG - it's Saturday)
see you later and haven't even reached half!
Bye, ruby.
((hugs))
i have 6 to go.
but rather stuckish.
that's amazing, hurshy!
bye Ruby
tonight's grid is like yesterdays - I kept/keep getting stuck but then finding little runs
what's weird is 3 of my 6 are fours and i can't even seem to monkey those.
what letters
g, h, p, r, t
wandering back in after holiday dreaming.....
Where were you dreaming about?
Reethi Beach in the Maldives. 5 weeks 4 days (not that I'm counting)
Your poor neglected animals.
Worse this time, Mari & Mr Mari are coming with us. Norma will be looking after the poor neglected things!!
Well, I hope you can live with your conscience.
It's a struggle but somehow I manage
You, lapping up the luxury, them, wailing and moaning and refusing to eat out of sheer heartbreak that their owners have left them again.
Crumble could do with losing weight! Actually I have real problems on the first couple of days we can't discuss them as I worry, then I get in to the holiday and forget lol
callous!
I'm shocked. Are you shocked, lynxxx?
That she could profess to love them and yet forget. It's shocking.
it makes them appreciate us all the more (obviously after the sulking has finished). I would also like to point out Mari has 2 abandoned cats as well!!
So there are herds of abandoned cats when you go away?
Usually we look after each others but as we are away together this time we have recruited lovely people to help us out
Fair enough, I won't say a word against Norma, who is a babbler of unblemished repute.
we are doing a pre-thankyou meal at Easter, I know my brats can we work lol
*be
hi all, how many words are there please?
222
Hello, arms. 222 words.
morning Babbkers

morning arms & bojazz
hi Arms & Bojazz

hi lynx

You'll find one in gremlinn's profile, not sure if any others have been posted.
Gremlin does
did you watch comic relief last night Haz?
how's everyone? fine, i pray
I watched some of it, Katie, I actually prefer it to comic relief.
I'm well, bojazz, thanks.
sorry yes I meant sports relief. I said the same last night it is the best one, usually I give money and don't watch, last night I gave money and watched a lot of it
thx lynxx
& Haz
I missed Match of the Day does Masterchef which was a shame as I believe that garlic was missed out of the garlic bread which would have been an entertaining watch. £29m is very impressive
I don't know what it is, just more fun and less hype.
The Masterchef sketch was good - Mark Lawrenson forgot to put the garlic in. Alan Hanson won with sausage, mash and remarkably burnt onions.
I think it is because people are pushing the limits of what they can do rather than trying to be funny. I must look up Masterchef on iplayer
Yes, the Olympian Choir with Gareth Malone was good. They were working out of their comfort zone but took it seriously and sounded .... if not professional, acceptable considering that they had so little time to rehearse.
I did sob copious amounts during the Chris Moyles appeal (both times it was shown) but again I think it was because there was nothing staged about it, and he is not the sort who would be comfortable crying on air
I missed that one.
wasn't that gymnast a great singer. It was so funny when Gareth met him, that relief wasn't faked
I know! Both husband and I declared 'He can sing!'
And Lee Pearson acquitted himself well (Paralympic equestrian)
He was the surprise of the performance he had a lovely voice
I think he was surprised himself!
i'm off for some breakfast, see you all later
OKay, time I was getting ready to do the dreaded food shopping. See you later. Bye for now.
bye Katie and Haz
Giving up for tonight - bye all
bye lynxx

Hi Angelsong. No, I don't. Sorry

Hello folks
hi all
good morning babble friends!
nice to meet you mr bob
hello jmc! you are looking SUPER today!
Well i thought it was time to expose my identity

You can try depressing the Ctrl key and using the scroll wheel on your mouse to change the text size.
hi BR
does that work in the chog BR?
morning BR!
Hello, jmc
try it
Hello, Trif
nope :-{
it makes all of babble bigger, jmc. I use that when I lose my glasses, which is fairly often
it makes all of babble bigger, jmc. I use that when I lose my glasses, which is fairly often
Works on mine
oh well i guess i will stick wearing my readers while i babble.
probably has to do with the fact that i have a mouse pad or something
try using the tool bar at the top of your screen, under view, then zoom
funny how words cycle in and out of Babble . . . eg5 used to be in the grid all the time . . .
and yes, that's a very nerdy Babbly observation! LOL
merci une!
hey, trif!
zoom worked ty trif now i can play when i can't find my readers!
it's fine, I noticed it lately about the ancient writing, which has been here a lot lately
and my phantom is nerd une!

great jmc! glad I could help! also glad for the chog, as I have NO VOICE today! ugh
:-( what's up trif?
my phantom today is "regift" which enable prob wouldn't take anyway, but we thrifty scots COMPLETELY know is a real word

proud momma moment: secondo's play opened last night, and she was so wonderful! all the kids did great, despite the fact that many, many of them have been laid low with a tummy bug this week.
terrific, trif!!
Me too, especially since I rarely get a gift I can regift the box the gift would have come in
whoo hoo secondo
LOL!
personally, I don't care if I EVER see another feather again, after all those bird costumes, lololol
what was the play?
the greek play the birds?
I'm also one of those wackos you see reaching into the recycle bins for magazines to share with my mom's caregivers!
seussical the musical. and as good as my dear one was, MAN the gal that played the cat in the hat was UNbelievable! I mean, just jaw-droppingly good, for a 13 year old girl.
how cool, trif!
my sister and i were just admiring my new coffee table we picked up on the curb
iren
:-P
that's how my daughter got her couch :-)
hi jmb
and I bawled at the end, as I knew I would....one of the girls in the play has very, very severe CF and it just breaks my heart how lovely she is, and how talented, and what her future holds for her.....she is heading into hospital again on sunday, right after the play closes. her poor parents!
oh, BTW, yesterday was a recordbreaking pickup day at Whole Foods . . .
nbt
wtg une!
hey guys!
they had SEVEN grocery carts of greens, salads, fresh fruit, cakes, cookies, and breads for me!!
way to go une! you sure are having a love affair with that place!
my poor little car was exploding with food! LOL
hi tella
what's up?
trif, it all depends on who I can get "on my side"
penned
I now have a lovely friend in the fruit deli dept!!
let's just take a minute to imagine what would have happened if you got rear-ended or something on the way home (god forbid, of course!)
ty tella but pb for you!
oops! that my nxt word. sry abt that!

I ADORE Rafa! :-)
Nah, I put a sign in the yard stating that flood waters that trespass will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law

Thanks.
th5's a light over at the Frankestein Place
good morning!
great clue, beetle :)
thank you
haven't watched that in a loooooooong time
me neither, but it was a college favorite of mine
ok how many times??
and were you a performer as well?
how many times did I watch it? oi! too many to count. And only once did I perform. There was a theater near my school that did haloween showings, and I did Frankenfurter one year
Hello
hey!
cool, bever did play a part and only saw it a handful of times, but i remeber when i was still a "virgin"
yeah, besides being a fun movie, it's just a helluva crowd experience :)
Hey long time no see Smooth
it's been a couple of years... I decided to try to find some babble time in my schedule.
the toast, the rice, the umbrellas...nothing "else" even comes close, do you remeber they "tried" to do a sequel?
I don't always have enough time to finish a grid, but it's good to play again
did they beetle? I don't remember!
HI Beetle
hey her
Yes they did Beetle I remember but that sits in my brain under not to remember
You are missing the newspaper and the water pistol :D

I should be in bed damn music videos
now I just need a 7 and then I'll have NBT and NBS :)
hey annie
sorry sistah :)
Hi Anne
thanks herin, and hi papa
hello all! no Lickety again?
Mom always did like you best Pini! LOL!
hi herin
ROFL
Good morning, everyone!
hi rep..no list today
hi Tak ;)
and hi to takuma
* ack * no list??
HI Tak and REp.
seems to happen more often--is there a problem?
Good Morning all. Just saying hi I'll be ducking out shortly.
TGIS - have all day to play (weather permitting)
I need a holiday.
hiya red ;)
Morning Red!
konichi wa sato-san
HI Pinik. I intend on playing a lot today...stilll exhausted from our special work week.
hi red
hi herin and annie
Annie, how is your friend in the rehab doing?
"special" work?
Yes Rep It's called Lickety has a life. He has a wife and 2 kids and his list is not a right it is a preverlage. Sorry to sound rude.
red, she is walking gingerly on the affected leg..doing much better..thanks for asking
Maybe so herin, but we do pay him to play!
repar, we dont actually pay Lickety at all.
Dr God and lickety are two different people.
we don't pay lickety to play (for life), we pay Dr. God
good news annie.
well said herin!
lickety is a "bonus" :)
I am so glad shes up and moving now.
Morning all, I found a list under Babblers Anon
Sorry it is one of my sore points. LIckety did have it on auto but the programming had a spaz
red, so is she.
Pini...please may I have a clue for that N word?
tither
aaargh!
I think it may have to do with the dead or underworld...?
hi all
Ty Dipp!
sistah...think ancient egyptian goddess...(adjust accordingly)
Hi TO!
I need a warning sticker today '"Beware Queen Bitchy Pants are on '' So sorry
HI TO
hi dippnall..off to the pb for you where all the goodies are
Hi Owl
LIckety is a bonus and I am thankful for any and all time he gives......... just as I am for any player that contributes clues, lists and hints and so should we all be for those that share - THANKYOU - I could not achieve without you
or...wait....let me look it up to be sure I'm on the right clue page!
I know however this isnt explained in any form, so I think I am not the only one to think the list goes hand in hand. Maybe Dr god should take this under consideration. Aside from that it was only a question. This is why I refrain from doing any chatting at all.
I think Repartena may not have been aware that Lickety is not Dr God. And I think we can all understand the confusion.
calling from pb - lunch is great in here!
thanks mubnar!
As I said sorry if I seemed rude.
* tries to find old gold statue in PB to hand Tanja as award *
everyone has been copping my shirty tude today
Herin, not to be rude, but you did seem rather rude.
I was aware however I was under the impression that it was part of the game.
lol
Well Herin...just take off your shirt then! Tee hee!
Yes I was that is way I said sorry
ribaldry!
In the case of Lickety Repar, its not really part of the game.
mrp (lickety's wife) once explained that lickety started doing a list because she was taking too long to do the grid and he wanted to help. Hence the list. Lickety is not paid. He is a rare babbler.
TU
Repar, I like to see you and Met, so I hope you wont stop chatting when I am around.
is anyone else i theme today?
thats cool Herin - actually it isi nice to know someone else can be as grumpy as me at times - makes me feel not so bad lol
takuma: that is a word that definitely needs to get used more in day to day life. :)
I have been unwell
Pini...I am only coming up with Nefertiti and I can't make it work!!!!
thanks red!
I wanted to try nether. but that doesnt work....
that's how I got it, sistah...change the F sound!
herin I hope you feel better.
I think that word needs to describe more of day to day life
sorry to here, herin....hope you feel better soon!
Lots of sleep
Did that...but can get the ending....
well said!
:)
add **** of passage
Duh! TY Sistah!
I think it has to do with the kidneys? maybe best to just look it up.
oh, and it has something to do with "mineralogy"
a compact or fibrous variety of actinolite, varying from whitish to dark green: a form of jade.
^5 sistah ;)
not the kidneys oops.
Almost half way there....
that's the one, red ;)
The fencing words are in the grid again.... ep's
ne8 is a form of jade
almost 1/2 way? sheesh, I only have 63!
ooh red beat me to it
(glad it's saturday!)
any werewolves today?
Red has to go running very soon, not really feeling it though.
finally halfway here
still need 1 7 for nbs...any ideas?
not my thing at all TO....so not for me.
I need to get my but moving
Pini wishes Red a good run - but will watch from the comfort of her bed this morning while she "relaxes" (and perhaps goes back to sleep)
hmm think i will return later to finish
What is nbs?
nbs = no blank stats (Word Stats)
Whee half-way!
Ah ha! TY!
Well you all have a great day! I will be back later!
wtg on 1/2, sistah
ciao
ciao car
I think I'm going to go back to sleep for a bit...back in a bit...
Oh Pini! You know I don't speak French! Tee Hee! ;-)
and TO
me either, sis
and I've got to run for now... bbl
Later Smooth dont be a stranger
ciao s_p
definition for the te8?
Time for me to split for a bit. Good luck all
No Idea Jean sory
te8 is like ne8
how about the ne8?
ne 8 is a form of jade
both end in ri4/4
hi une
hey, annie and Jean and herin!
Hi UNe.
hi Une
thanks une for the te8
yw :-)
Thank you. I was looking for something I already had
monkeys found them, thanks

HI Stid
pr 8 a piece of furniture for kneeling on during prayer, having a rest above, as for a book
wow we just call them "kneelers"
tx nana!
cheers
copied from dictionary.com
yvw
stiddy, use your french :-) (pray + god)
thanks for the pr 8 ddb4nana!
hint for the th8?
First teen year Une
you'll love this...it's a number
got it -- THANKS!!
fish me
I cant think of the pr8, I know I know it but I cant think of it
oui, j'comprended that one, Une! :-) (that's sonreir -smile -yes?)
your welcome stidmama...I so seldom give clues because someone else is usually faster!
sonreir?
I am SOOOO glad our family is well past that th8!
oohhh, sourire LOL
squell bad 80's music on the tv
sourire!!! :-D
I have one just two years past that - she's ugh.... sometimes
literally 'under laughter' or not quite laughing
my one and only baby girl is about to be out of school and gainfully employed full time -- wahoo!
that makes sense, hilllaryk, thanks
(with 2 master's degrees under her belt)
ah cadfan, I feel your pain! ((hugs)) but it's also such a great age of discovery (at least that is what I keep telling myself)
She's great sometimes too - a beautiful girl with many friends and many talents
well done, Une! What a sense of accomplishment for you both.
cool, cad! :-)
Woohoo Une!
I must be a huge screw up for my parents then
and stid, she's worked her way through the whole saga!
Well done to her UNe
okay, got the pr8..and congrats for your daughter, une
tx annie :-)
can you clue the pr8?
lady, EVERY person goes at their own pace. I am nearly Une's age and only just going back to school for my teaching degree.
8s done
Good morning/afternoon all.
yay, annie!
hey, haz!
pr8---pr5 and 2 vowels
hello Haz! how has the first day of spring been for you?
pr8 makes a circle from the start through vowels - adds a consonant near the left corner and back up to the start
Good afternoon, Haz
(pr5 and 3 vowels)
pr8---pr5 and 3 I mean 3 vowels
Hello! It's definitely getting warmer. I've been out shopping without a coat. Everything is still very late, no sign of daffodils yet.
:-D
haz, I have a yard full of daffodils! :-)
sorry to be thick but which of the many pr5s?
well, I would rather a bit late, myself. I worry every morning I wake up and see frost on the peach and pear blossoms.
pr5/14
My tulips are starting to come up in thick bunches - still a bit until they bloom though
hillary, the pr5 that is "pulled up" word past tense
They'll come eventually, but we had such an extended period of freezing weather that I don't blame them for being slow to show their faces.
hillary, pr 8 is a piece of furniture to kneel upon
stid, we usually have a late frost that has me panicking but this year maybe not . . .
got it thanks
I think ALL of my tulips were eaten, not just the beautiful ones by the front door. I am just fit to be ti4!
another french word!
6 inches of snow here yseterday - not a cloud in the sky and sunny today
i can't plant tulips -- the squirrels and chipmunks dig them up :-(
Stid - do you have deer in your area - is that what eats them?
tulips did fine for me for ten years. oh well. maybe it just took them that long to find them
:-D
deer, raccoons, chipmunks, red squirrels (no gray squirrels yet)
ok, 80 to go and taking a break to walk pups . . . later! *poof*
later Une!
later, une
2 more weeks to go then I can have sanity
Wow- the squirrels don't touch them here - but I think perhaps we set them too deep?
I will buy more bulbs in the fall and plant in cages, but that won't help anything if the critters nibble all the green down (again).
you can do it, lady. I have one more week of vacation, and looking foward to sleeping in after tomorrow.
you want me to give jill a hug for you when I see her Monday?
going to take a break, see you later dear babblers
later Annie ((hugs)) happy Spring!
Bye, Annie.
there. NBT.
Happy Spring to you too, stid and everyone.
Wont that be lovely Stid
I have been looking forward to our visit for months.
O yes please Stid
sure thing lady. Only wish I could gives her hug to you! LOL ((hugs))
me too one day
wow. past halfway suddenly. will quit when I get to 100.
I really should go to bed
yes, it must be well past midnight for you. are you unwell or just not ready to sleep?
and that's down to 100 for me. a lot faster than I expected.
It is 2am watching video clips
oh, that's not a good thing for you that late at night *stern mama look* you should get some beauty sleep!
I know but these clips are so good
and they'll be online when you wake up too, I bet... *helpful mama look* what about a lullaby?
aww
*gets warm blankie, and warm milk, and favorite stuffed animal for lady*
Aww. This isn't on the pc this is on tc
tv even
oh, I see. well, snuggle up with your blankie and fall asleep watching. I must get the stidkid to his solo contest this morning.
((hugs and choclit for all)) see you later!
*Poof*
Gotta go get some laundry done - BBL
Later Stid
Best wishes to Stidkid

Faster than I could clue it!
I think we are, sandr. Frightening, isn't it?
what is considered an old timer?
its only been 4/5 years cant remember when exactly i started
I think when you've been here more than 2 or 3 years.
im suprised we have'nt run out of grids yet!!!
He could serve up some from a few years back and we wouldn't know any different.
hello hz! hello sandr!
lol
heya TO
Hello TO!
now thats a very good point haz
TO is another veteran babbler.
yes and i'm old, too! ;)
I think I am still in the minor leagues here
You nearly jumped ship, ruru. Remember the New Year resolution?
if i looked at the stats now i bet im still way way down the league, but i wont because i havent looked in about 2 years
tr4!.. I almost gave up...
Are you feeling better, TO, I saw you were having sinus problems?
It was quite funny. You had everyone giving you fond farewells, people pleading with you not to go, and then - I'm back! Two days and you'd had enough of no babble.
think ive done that before today!!!
yes.. I seem to have gotten addicted to this game in a very short time
(I think I made it through a weekend though)..lol
Hello all, I am back from a jog.
yes ty, haz
May I put a shameless plug in for all to look at an article about my mother?
Good to hear, TO.
Hello, red.
hi Babbalonians - can i impose for some help?
hi sandr :)
Of course you can, bojazz.
hello all
It features some of her and one of my Photographs : http://stliving.com/?p=1573
Hi Bo. Help?
i came back to find a retail store for my dryer filter. need to be off and running
I'll check it out shortly, red.
does the es7 build off the es5?
Her article has no comments, and I'd lover her to get some! thanks Haz. Its very short.
Dryer filters - the sort of shopping that fills you with excitement.
Hello peri, I took my scramble turn.
ok, red
I am a veteran babbler and so is my sister marigold
i entered a tore for the first time this season. it was overwhelming. tolfd myself i would not buy until i cleaned out the old
No, es7 is one letter short of being ae8.
beautiful day here!!
also to do research for car shopping
which i dread
are you lookin for a new car Owl
I will be looking for a newer car in a few weeks
thx Haz
yes, peri. but likely pre owned
hi red - off to read...
You're welcome, bojazz.
I need to do research too. thinking of a hyundai elantra or Honda fit
I am looking into pre-owned as well
love the elantra also the kia forte in that size/price range
how old is your current car, Owl? My corolla is 18!!
peri, i will go to the car broker i mentioned to you, never a dealer
my car is 8 years old in the fall
dont you have something like exchange and mart like we do over here TO
what is the name of the car broker again, pls?
i don't know what that is, sandr. the broker only deals in cars no more than three years old, off lease, promo or program cars.
with warranty remaining.
red - i must be reading the site wrong, can't get it
its an internet mag over here now that people place there old cars in to sell so they can buy a new 1
sandr, we do. i have a honda accord, no problem selling
will sell at work
The thing about buying from people you don't know is that you really need to know about cars etc. and when you don't, it's good to find a dealership you can trust.
why are you getting rid of your car, Owl?
true haz or you pay a mechanic a few pounds to come with you so you arnt conned
because it is time
while i am still wokring
may I have the name of the broker, Owl?
OOH 222 is my lucky number!
nazar
never heard of them Owl, ty
pre-owned sounds like a misnomer to me . .. pre = before .. so before owned would make it new
going to do some earrands, bbl
peri, no financing. works by referral only. suggest you check the price of 2 year old car in model you want and plan on paying wholesle.. he won't buy older than that
http://stliving.com/?p=1573 here is a repeat link for Bojazz.....
peri they won't take you unless you are referred to them
i don't think it;s what you are looking for
Bo, I recommend copy and paste rather than trying to retype it out.
Hi Babble Rabble, I was thinking of you today, they showed the river getting rather high again.
time to go. bye!
l8r TO
Bye, TO. See you again.
peri, I can highly recommend my toyota, but I guess no onw iwll purchase one for a while....
See you TO, good luck with the car!!!!
Yeah, some roads already are below water.
perhaps tomorrow, haz
are you dry?
yep
they are cheap now, red. broker has severl on the lot, very unusual
Well, excellent news then TO. And please do go and check my mom's article. I noted that it doesnt have any comments...I'd like her to have a few.
http://stliving.com/?p=1573
glad to Hear BR that you are dry.
I also thougth of you, BR the other day when a doctor took hold of a patients head and started turning it left to right....good thing the patient did not have a beard.
crossys back;))
Hello, crossy.
red - the url has several sites on the page, what am i looking for specifically?
hi crossy
Jennifer does nice work.
Hi Crossy!

Bye, sandr, nice to see you're still around.
l8r haz
Hello haz and all!
Hello, FM!
hi all, happy saturday! how's the grid today?
How goes the day?
Not too bad a grid today Jess
hi jessa and FM. I think the grid is fairly nice. I am just a bit over half way...
Hello Jessas, it's a nice grid overall.
hiya red
ok, lots of words...digging in...
Going fine, FM. Husband is very jealous of his sister who has mananged to get a ticket for the rugby in Dublin this afternoon.
any eu?
no kje
No eu.
lol poor S!
ty
hi kje and mixi
hi red!
hi
luv the flowers in your profile FM, looking forward to seeing them in real life here soon....yay spring!
Hi fellow babblers!
It is on its way Jess
mine have got drowned from 2 days of torrential rain Hi kje and beach
yeah, we've had sun for 6 days straight...unheard of in upstate NY this time of year...going to make it that much harder when it snows again, which its bound to do before April
my tulips are up about 4 inches and just praying we don't get a freeze again to stunt them...that happened last year, so sad :(
Boo!
aahhh!
How is the grid today?
Hi MP
grids going pretty easy so far...
yeah it's not too bad.
Hi FM...love your crocus!
Tulips are blooming all over.
We sighted a huge round yellow thing in the sky today...trying to remember what it's called!
lol I sighted that for a couple of days but it has gone again *sigh*
lol MP, ours is hiding today, too
Not to worry I understand it's going away for the next three days here...but I will be in California for two weeks so I'm sure I will catch plenty of it there *smile*
(((FM)))
(((crossy))) hope you are feeling a bi tbetter, ready that you have been under the weather this week.
Crossy............ (((Hugs)))
howdy ((MP))
I just hope that he went to the doctor...
good beautiful sunny morning, everyone :)
Because if he didn't, he's going to get a lot of scolding from a lot of women. Not a happy prospect.
Yes, Nan zippety-doo-da!
my babble ladies nagged me to the walk in clinic yesterday.he told me to keep using the puffers and put me on a 4 day course of prednislone(SP)
A good decision, well made.
oh, prednisone is a wonder drug, you ought to feel lots better soon
glad you took advice crossy
why do men have to be nagged to the dr? had to do that to my hubby last week, after his chest started making really weird, not chest-like noises when he breathed
But prednisone can make you hungry...oh, oh!
lol with the strngh of theese tabs,i should be able to have a tiddle and sterilize the toilet at the same time;0
Some men have to be nagged. Ata's husband goes happily.
Hello everyone.
ROFL!
Hi Becca!
Hello Becca!
Hello Haz, FMitch. How are ou both?
I'm very well, thanks. How's the little one?
Doing fine thans, nice to see you again.
Not so little! But very well, thank you.
He's out with his daddy at the moment so I'm taking a break from chores.
It's a lovely picture of him, Becca - innocence and fun all mixed together.
It is a great pic!
hello everybody. Jessasmom, where are you in upstate NY? I lived in Binghamton for many years
It's quite an old picture, his hair is MUCH longer than that now! Probably should get it cut but can't seem to bring myself to do it.
Hello again, ruby.
HI ruby
hello haz
Hi ruby.
what a day, we have been hoping for rain for days as it's very dry here
hi becca
hello FM
I'll send some over from here ruby.
hi ruby...I'm in Rochester, near the lake...close to Binghamton. guess you remember our lovely "not-springs" huh?
and once we have some rain, one day of sunshine and we'll have flowers!!!
my son went to school in Rochester. But Bing. has a worse climate, no sun at all and a two-day spring
if you have it now, Becca, we'll probably have it in two days
this grid is going pretty quickly...down to 112, hope I don't hit the wall now.
It's nice to have rain actually, very refreshing. And it has brought that lovely dusty, earthy smell with it.
uh oh, no list today?
I hit the wall at about 120, now getting one at a very slow time
I've slowed right down, just about half way through though.
I think Jacula posted one on Babanon.
Gremlin has one in his prifle and I believe there si one on BabAnon.
there is a list in gremlinn`s pro file if anyone wants it.
oh phooey, I must be off for a while. Happy Babbling.
thx, all, I may be looking for that list very soon...
Bye FMitch.

yes its nice.
and it is really starting to be spring here; one day of rain, a little sunshine, and it will all be flowers!
think we counted 13 freezes this winter
must be the lack of education he4 in AZ...I didn't go to school he4, but the collective brainless thinking must be wwearing off on me...
that has to be a record, aloy!
at least. it was so horrid. I dread next year if it is similar.
too much good weather, pav
harsh winter for growing things here, ruby..
we did have our spate of rain, though..and the temps did dip below 70 for some time...
he**, it's perfect, the best climate I've ever lived in

they have truffles in France...
just ur + e***
its a ur 6. ur plus the duck feathers minus a letter at the end.
they have pain du chocolat.
I don't like truffles, I'm afraid, they don't taste sweet to me
sorry I think I butchered that.
yay! slow but surely, with your patience, I found it!
I like white truffles, but only on pasta
COngrats Pav!
wahoo and whew!
I do know of pasta dish that uses choc as a finale topping, but I also think your white truffles aren't the same as choc...
no, they're not, I was just kidding. They're really special though, have only had them a couple of times in my life!
I make chicken mole using chocolate in the sauce
I think I may have shared this past Dec for my friend's son's 15th BD on the 23rd Dec, I told him I 'd show him how to make a trifle...he went around telling his friends I was going to show him how to make truffles...
mole' is traditionally made with choc, yes.
I'd rather have trifle!
but you can never tell people what's in it, or they start to taste it too much. Otherwise it just makes the sauce lovely, rich and shiny
I have th*** 8's, ae8, pr8 and th8, what am I missing?

lynn just clued
Just clued it Nan
nan..both ex6 36 's are terms for leaving
de 5/22...I know what letters need to be in it, but can't figure out the combo.

yw Joanne & Miz
is th5 another ex6/36 i am missing??
looking for the first ex 6/36 -- between expends energy and leave
That is what I clued Nan
2 x ex6 36...both meaning to leave...one pt and the other, a stage direction
ahh ok did have it
and the stage direction is ex 4/9?
so I gather they don't have tv replay to check the ref's call...and would it have made any difference?
no Nan
evening all..i saw that the te8 is like the ne8...but that doesnt help cos i dont have either..help pls?
wow -- a 6 letter word that means to leave that comes before the ex 4/9
they said he did commit it but normally that would not have been called, esp. in that end of game situation
aah..so some over zealous ref'ing going on at the end...
cybernan...its the stage term for ex4
ne not your neice but your ....ew and a preist give last r4 when passing away
rolin, te (and ne) + first two letters of doctorate suffix + ****s of passage
Hi Rolin
yes pav, and then he got to shoot again and made it that time
then use t for other
is th5 an ex 6/36 immediately before the ex 4/9?
ty leslieann..would never have got those
hey lynxxx
make it NIECE and PRIEST
yes, Nan
luckily there was an 8 clueing frenzy earlier :)
yes cyb and lynn clued it
and it means to leave the stage?

ex vowel and r... of the litter
Yeah, twingy back woke me up
Yes, Nan, often found in Shakespeare plays, often followed by "omnes"
i clearly need more theatre roles. :) thx for clues
Used as a stage direction to indicate that two or more performers leave the stage. [Latin, third person pl. of exīre, to go out;
I missed lynxx's first clue, but funt isn't there
minus the f lol
hi Erda
hi lynx
ty, ty, ty -- I knew there must be a reason I studied french instead of latin!
It is a dead language that won't die, it seems!
and I've always wanted to learn French instead of the Latin I did have...
I figured with Latin I could learn more
Living in Canada, French is an automatic choice for a 2nd language -- I think it should be compulsory
my fav phrase...cogito, ergo sum...
*!* ta da *!* -- thanks for all the help :)
yay Nan!
Congrats Nan
what does that mean Pav
i *something*, therefore i am
maybe think
I think, therefore, I am
Always thought I should learn Italian or German as well but most people in those countries speak either English or French, and often both, in addition to their mother tongue.
anyone want clues before I leave for lunch?
French, or German, was always the 'foreign' language taught when I grew up - now, logically and usefully, it is Indonesian or Japanese or Chinese

But I shall not persevere.

What? Wet snow in the grid?? **searching** :)
in MO!
Nothing but sunshine and mid-70's in the Carolinas today.
I think if it were dry snow, it'd be dandruff or something close to it
let me rephrase that....snowman snow!
And I'd be enjoying it a whole lot more, if I felt better. Stupid head cold. Hoping it won't morph into a sinus infection or something worse.
you have 'sticky' snow...great for snowballs and snowmen
keep your ears covered...
First column is now grayed. 30 left.

it was a good grid up until about 45 left or so. Now at 40 left. I want my fireworks and to complete it.
Hi to my fellow babblers! How is everyone doing today
By the way, congratulations to all the finishers! YAY!
howdy, min and welki :-)
any Ph words?
Thoroughly stumped on the last two UN words.
No ph words, red
I am missing a U. and still missing two N's which are really elusive
do you have the ne8, red?
I'll trade an N for a U
yes I do have the 8
and the 2 geeks
Do you have the ne5 that's slang for Darn! or Nuts!
do you have the dork, and then change the second letter?
no!
My N's are now complete....
now out with the U words, lady.
yay red!
I'll take clues for either of the last two UNs
the U that is a little odd is an un and pe4.
and plural the un and maragret nickname
but what about the other duo?
not the margaret one
Got the odd one! (It's not the margaret one)
clue?
un + the last pe4
thanks for u's!
Then let the chickens loose by removing the last letter to make un5
tx gwen

Good day to all.
hi scrabbs!
Hi FV. How is your weekend going?
ga4: obsolete word meaning to frighten.
Then add endings to it to make two other words.
TY, Gwen
thanks, gwen! got my ga's done
how many gi?
Nine gi's
going fine, scrabs. nice day with mom today -- wildflower walk, scrabble game, lunch
have you been hiking or skiing today?
Did she teach you how to play Scrabble? Do you have competitive games?
we've been playing together since I was in high school. it used to be very competitive, but I have to pull my punches now or I win all the time.
Spring has arrived so my last day of cross-country skiing was March 10th. I am hiking a lot--did 1 hr today through the park--and waiting for it to warm up so we can kayak. I also played tennis doubles today for almost 2 hrs.
you are an inspiration!
Hey, I have chosen to be single + childless so that I can do what I want--be active, especially outside in nature.
(((((scrabs))))) we love you! happy spring!
hi scrabbs!
Hi Stid! Relaxing this weekend?
good for you! I'm childless but sadly, a lot lazier than you!
hello all!
Hi Red!
haha fuqua
not really, the younger stidkid had his solo AND ensemble adjudications today, so I spent several hours driving back and forth (and shopping since I was in town anyway).
back for a few more:)
He plays the trombone, right?
and yes i saw the doc scrabbs
and packing for the trip to Victoria tomorrow, will see JIll and flo on Monday. ((((CROSS)))) was talking about you earlier -- are you and mrs cross feeling better?
Hi Crossy! Did you get medical care yesterday? I was worried about you.
yes, trombone for this. tuba for school band.
thinking cross is NOT feeling better. *worried mama look*
and are you getting better cross?
he said stay on the puffers, take a decongestant and gave me a 4 day course of prednisone
I am making a pot of decaf green tea. Would anyone like some?
ick. prednisone. ick.
ooooh crossy will soon be doing spring cleaning.
me thanks scrabbs!!
cross, I will go to murchie's tomorrow. do you want me to send you some tea?
So no pneumonia, huh?
ty stiddles but i have some nice tetley bold for day and sleepy time tea for night
nope
Prednisone will make you puffy (water retention) and eat a lot, and perhaps irritable.
okie dokie, cross. but I will look for bacon tea, just in case.
lol so no change eh scwabby?
and energetic!
cross? irritable? (how would we tell?) *innocent mama look*
or is that just me...
roflmao....
lol
well, down to 85 so far (worked on the grid earlier) no lickety, I suppose?
Silly Crossy!
no
no lickety.
gremlinn's and hootowl's profiles both have it
i have 37 left, now would be a great time for likety to fill in blanks...
Sometimes steroids can cause euphoria. Kids get very irritable and whiny on them.
thanks LA
i rather enjoyed my last course of them for my ankle. would not mind one more course.
When I took prednisone once for asthma problems I puffed out, gained 5 lbs of water, then peed it out for several days.
hi scrabbler, crossy, everyone
TMI, cousin! *shakes head sadly*
i just got really intop cleaning and my ankle stopped hurting a bit...
Hi Welki
howdy welki
Stid, I am a doctor, I talk about that stuff everyday.
hey welki! LBD showed up last night JUST after you logged off...
Maybe I should have said that I underwent a diuresis.
yes,the doc thinks i may be a regular member of the puffer club after this, till now i was just courting it
YOU do, scrabs, WE don't! although it is definitely useful information.
i also found it a noraml sentance/
Fishing a lot, Welki?
diuresis is a great vocabulary word, for sure! LOL
((Red))--we would be great colleagues in a hospital together.
am i ever glad i quit the lung darts in 2002:0
st 6/21?
you me and kje scrabbs....
A pot of tea for all---pass it around.
lung darts? cancer sticks?
in between seasons, now, scrabbs
nice. hanks scrabbs
the same stid
Lung darts? Were you a smoker, Crossy?
sorry for typos.
st + the tiniest puppy in the litter
i somed for 25 years till 2002 scrabbs
ah, I am glad you quit too, cross. those are seriously bad for you. (((hugs)))
smoked
thanks for the ST!
ah thanks weiki. 7 left
good for you for quitting.
Wow, Crossy. Then you may have mild COPD. You need to have PFTs done--pulmonary function testing.
it's spawning season, scrabbler .. while some water is still open to fishing, i prefer to wait until mid-may
he6
?
smoking causes not only lung cancer, but also bladder cancer.
which is horrible, talking about diuresing.
Is anyone watching NCAA men's basketball? Any teams being cheered for?
he6 made your beneficiary, if you're a male
i am just cheering not to be last in my office bracket
wife and i quit together in 2002.for the first 2 years what we did was each ofg of us put the money we would of spent on smokes every day into a large jar and at exactly 2 years we rolled it up and counted it.......
I was cheering for orangemen and duke but I dont know that they are still in.
is this good, LA? we are watching the UW (Huskies) and New Mexico game.
TY, welki. I did not know that he4 could be extended into a verb.
Actually, TOM is watching, I am looking up once in a while
I watched UW win. Syracuse won last night.
came to $12,160.00 ..i bought my brand new 2004 toyota with it;)) cash lol!
how much cross?
how much was it, cross?
WOW! *falls over*
you are the second person who has bought a car with quit smoking cash that I know of.....cool.
that's funny, cross .. we bought an exlorer!
7.50 per dayx2x365
WOW, Crossy!
and an explorer, too!
Wait, UW is playing NOW.
best way to do it red
wow, I guess welki I make it three!
there is a NCIS marathon on. I am enjoying it.
yes, Washington is playing now -- there is another huskies team somewhere
I heard it on the radio. No idea who-all is in the tournament, but Mother's old school ODU beat Notre Dame, and that was exciting.
anyone need a clue or two before i head out?
UConn = huskies but they didn't make this tournament. They are in the NIT.
er 5/14? only five left so i am not above asking for clues for 5s
i promise ill make a normal appt with my regular family doc and set up the breathing tests scwabby
did anyone list the 7's recently?
Old Dominion?
now i have to kick this grids arse;)
er5 = a volcano might do this on occasion
not recently, anyone can feel free to do so!
yes Scrabs, she got her Master's when we were in Virginia
Yes, Crossy. Good boy.
thanks for the ER!
thanks. obviously my brain has checked out of this game already
hello jasmine!
I have no 8's and 2 7's
where,s my bacon cookie?
I need 120. *SIGH*
I have one 8. its a ne 8 and it is close scrabbs to those vitamins people with renal failure take.
I am down to 68. need to write to raelite. back in a moment.
7s: eg, es, gr, pr, sa, te, th, ti,
th 6 is a store like the salvation army store, add an s for the 7.
later, folks ... something's wrong, i'm motivated to clean house :)
te is a professor who has been around a long time
re 6/18?
re6=18 what you pay the landlord...stretch out the word!
thanks leslieann and all. and hello to babble world
re 6/18 - cheese enzyme
haha thanks april
and java
can I get a clue for the gr 7.
ti 6/21? the last one, i think.
pt of gr5, red. rhymes with a snow d****
gr 7 - what a con man did
Ahhhh thanks.
thanks again. great clues.
now to work on my 4 missing 8's
comfort food tonight,a big pot full of steaming lipton chicken noodle soup, grilled cheeses done on texas toast :)
I didn't get either of those clues for gr7.
ty java
Yummy, Crossy. I haven't decided upon dinner yet.
oh man it was a plural. fireworks!
the gr 5 rhymes with a big pile of snow, a snow Dr***. then plural and past tense it.
I had a chicken stir fry.
congrats leslie
yw - gr 7 = g+split in earth, pl and pt
TY. I was laughing earlier because jasmine replied "great clues" and I was struggling to understand them.
Congrats LA
okay back.
YAY LA??? I MISSED IT?!?
With 72 to go, I'm jealous and in awe of the finishers - kudos!
not really stid you made the grand entrance at the right time/
YAY LA!!!
I need 104 and see nothing!
go scrabs go!
it is not an easy grid here. 30 left. I think maybe I need to send lickety some chocolate.
63 to go, but I'm just playing- too lazy to look at a list
I am sleepy--worn out from my day. Maybe I should eat something.
Hi Kap
make a stir fry scrabbs.
hey Kaplan
food is good, Dr. Scrabs!
I have to think of what I have to cook.
Hey, y'all.
:) no worries. clues before i go?
Just clue all the 61 I am missing
I don't think I will get to clue stage, LA, but thanks. down to 58.
Stid, I am not going for fireworks tonight. I can't take the stress
smart... I think firewords can be over-rated. but I love it when others finish.
no problem kap, just enjoy!
I like sometimes just seeing how far I can get, and how many big words, or new 4-letter words I can get
thees
OOps- or if I can stay out of the penalty box
LOL Kaplan!
BBS--going to figure out dinner.
(((scrabs))) good to see you. Tom says hello.
see you scrabbs. take care...
i am going to make coffee.
"right" and "tight" and "fight" are my phantoms today
coffee sounds good *sips tea*
I am stopping at 143 words and 1997 points. I will be in&out for rest of the day to clue what I have so far.
chicken soup is ready:)) crossy passes bowls all round;0
mmmm. *ready with napkin and spoon*
hey Min! well done!
I have 162 words and 2152 points. Is there a way to compare progress, or is it all or nothing -fireworks oriented?
i take the lipton base, add extra stock and dice up a skinless chicken breast i did up yesterday
I often have wondered what caused chicken soup to be so cowardly
when the puzzle ends, Kaplan, the archives tell who got how many words (and you can see which words they found, too)
as you get your babble time in,getting the fireworks becomes less of a dire thing
Yeah, it just becomes a place to hang out and learn weird new words
I think Tom is talking to one of his parentals... that tone of voice only happens with his family... *grin* he enjoys the "argument" though!
CROSS!!! *stern mama look* PB! (but leave the soup, please)
Who is Tom?
Tom is my long-suffering, wonderful spouse, Kaplan
I have one of those. He's making dinner.
Kaplan there are the rankings, you can see progress there of course. I never feel that competitive about this.
:-D it's nice to have one, isn't it? I highly recommend all Babblers acquire one...
yep. it's his mother... *sigh* she can really get him riled up sometimes.
I think soup will be on our menu tonight.
Wordsplay is very competitive, and there are teams
I am only competitive with feather and pini. and sprite, but Sprite always wins against me! LOL
I have 31 to go and I can't believe there isn't a word meaning containing more egg than something else. It's a word in OUR house, Babble!
acquire a husband or a cook?
im behaving stid!! crossy is taking all the right meds..look! i made soup!,,cwossy is behaving stiddles:))
There is a chat too, but you can't really chat and play at the same time, so g
you can only chat between rounds
Cook is more useful. Sometimes they only come in the form of a spouse.
cross said a WURD! in the chog! (di4/5)
both, java -- one like my Tom can do both quite admirably. He is an excellent cook -- and baker.
oh..off to the pb i go...
hello again hillary! I told mother what you said about sourire, she said that's how she remembers it too.
I have one of those, too - should we call them "chusbands"?
*puts lovely choclits and cookies and slab of maple-cured bacon in PB*
huscook? sounds more saxon.
down to 45! I am really zipping along!
I have fooled my whole family into thinking I don't know how to cook- for 20 years. Unfortunately, I did forget how to cook in the process.
Huscook.
In fact, my huscook has just finished and I'm off for pork chops and broccoli...til later...
The problem is that the word for the noun 'smile' is 'souris' which also means 'mouse'...
I still cook -- I like soups/stews, sauces and stir fries; the occasional fancy dessert... but full-fledged meals are beyond me these days
mmmmm. enjoy, java!
I knew that souris meant mouse, didn't know it was also smile. *considers the implications* are mice funny?
ah, the elder stidkid is home from his bike ride. A good way to celebrate the first day of spring.
cross, are you ready to come out of the PB?
come out cross!
same here stiddles, soups, stews, rice and vegetable dishes,i make fresh breads and cakes and i love making meat pies, beeef pies, egg and bacon pies;)
crossy peers out of the pb
especially BACON pies!!!
breakfasts are my big thing;)
We're vegetarians
Hi all. can I have a clue for the re5/14 & 6/24 pls?
we aren't vegetarians, but don't eat many animal products because of my allergies.
soy bacon then. it tastes terrible in my opinion, but its veg.
hey mary
mm well sorry bout that but crossy whips up some grapes, and bannana slices and mandarin wedges in yougurt and adds a bowl of grape nuts
we like soy bacon.
re5/14 is to put the sails up again...re6/24 is the third person singular of same
they serve soy bacon where I work. I dont know why but I dislike it.
err..soy bacon?...
but I pretend to eat almost anything when I am in Babblonia
We have no pork at the hospital.
large muslim population?
i tried turkey bacon and the salt content was so high i figured it would be safer to go back to pork
We are a Seventh Day Adventist Hospital. They are against Pork Caffiene and Alcohol.
Luckily they seme to have relented on the caffiene.
But, whats good is that there is always a vegetarian entree in the cafeteria.
I just got a very simple th word that I didn't see all day.
oh. I see.
I have been doing that a lot this hour, Kaplan.
reset? re...
myself as well, I am down to 24.
GOT IT!

Pam! welcomes pam to the caht again with happiness!!!!!!!!!
Yeah, I just got about 5 easy words
PAM!!! (((hugs ))) I never get to see you any more! *happy look*

(((STID))))
RED
I am not going to finish- I am going to eat, then move to another couch to watch a movie
FINISHED! VERY EXCELLENT!
congrats gotthaab
YAY godthaab!!!!!!
yaa for god!
its a great plan kaplan, you have no need to complete!
Nice job!
good idea to move some, Kaplan, just so you don't freeze in one position.
No complete, no compete.
congrats all finishers
oh. down to 40. will be back later maybe. (((hugs and choclits for all))) see you soon! *poof*
Well I look at ti this way, no matter what my babble rank is, it will never get me a raise or a promotion, or the nobel peace prize....so its not exactly valuable to compete...
I don't ever finish, LOL
Pam, how are you surviving the work???
been at this since, I don't know, October 04, LOL
ANd, i don't do lickety or lists... just fun
Horrid, red
No Nobel Prize?
sorry pam, tell me more!
I do lickety when I hit the wall and see how many 4 letter words I missed.
Well, I did get to work for a Nobel winning organization, so I figure I sort of got one by proxy.
can't find the re5/14 clue to put up sails again and the 6/24. Another clue pls?
mary a big truck is sometimes called a big *** you can re *** the sails.
TY
ty ty tyvm
YW. glad to assist. and not a great clue!
Does anyone think that there is the possibility that we will get Lickety's clues for today? Thanks
just had sis & hubbIe dOwn for dinner, went out to kitchen to get desert &~ cat is sitting there with mouse beside hiM. by the time I said to Hubby 'there is a mouse in the kitchen' it had disappeared. Gone under the cooker. took the kick boards off and with the aid of a broom ( the cat is watching all this) the mouse was deaded by the broom handle, hubbie threw it over the next door fence. half an hour later cat brings back dead mouse and lays it at the door as if to say 'look what I caught - arent i clever? He is in the dog house now!
reading back red, completion is not valuable, babble has become a wealth of knowledge for me,a place where i can exchange ideas, thoughts, concerns and to ask advice
lol mummy
Oh, my goodness, Mummy, what a cute story. Thanks for saharing.
sharing
he is just getting us back for putting him in the cattery for three weeks when we went to Australia!
mummy, too funny....cat may be a bit peeved. DOgs seem to like kennels better than cats like being uprooted.
See, he knows revenge is sweet.
down to 20. sooooo slow like molasses.
Now he is snuggled up in hubby's arms like butter wouldn't melt. I take second place to the animal.
Cross, caught your comment and I agree. SOMetimes I like to complete, but when I can not I dont get too riled up anymore.
At one point though there was a babbler whom I found annoying, and truthfully I completed every day for about 6 months to beat that babbler. then I gave it up and that babbler no longer annoys me either.
I wouldn't mind so much but I was the one who wanted the cat and he takes precedence over me as hubbie is his favourite
Does anyone think Lickety will be able to clue today? It just isn't any fun without his list.
Mummy, get a second cat. My mother had a similar thing happen with one of the cats, she loves my dad. eve follows him into the woods and sits and watches him work.
Gapeach, I dont think lickety will clue today as the day is pretty much done in Austrailia.
OK, thanks, red.
I just posted the list in my profile, that I had copied from someone who finished about an hour after flip
NO, onecat is enough, the Cats Protection lady didn't want us to have him as he was feral but we persuaded her. I wanted to have one of his sisters too but hubby said no, one is enough.
ah well, you will have to be second to the kitty then...
Wow--an hour after the flip! I've been pecking away on and off for hours and still have seven to go--and I thought that was good going!
jan, that is good going.
Oh and good morning all...
those hour after the flip people are just anomolies
I can't remember the name but s/he seems to finish often and early
maybe gremlin? not sure
Thanks, Just1Mar, I don't know how to run my copier. Perhaps someone will come in and I can get them to copy it for me.
do you know how to copy and paste? I did that into notepad, very easy
sorry, red... internet and connection got all kerflewy
It has just been stressful because I am doing so much
No, hon, I really need to learn more about this computer....just too lazy, I guess.
and I get the jitters
cross--I agree. this is just a great place
so just keep my profile up in a separate window and use it that way

dorens, not you
its a fairly nice grid up to the end...where I am at.
sorry, pressed enter before I had typed in proper. Fortunately I am able to control my migraines by taking paracetamol when I feel the first symptons, ie tingling fingers and blurred vision. I have seldom had to revert to stronger meds, such as migrelieve prescribed by the Gp.My mum suffered severely but mine don't seem so bad.
yes me. when there's no lickety it can take me forever.. can't line up my words with other people's lists. 86 to go can take me two hours!

On and off, quite well, LOL!... Paris was amazing. Just the best trip. Five days of bliss. I can't begin. . . I need to go back/want to go back. . . I went to Philly a few weeks ago to see the Picasso exhibit. And otherwise, work has been a dominant force. But, like Doresn said, I am so very grateful to be gainfully employed.

but this august, i imagine we will be picking up some beauties in sonoma/napa region, right?
however, liquor outlets couldn't find a supplier for the chateau montmirail vacqueyras cuvee deux freres, now that i think of it
I found that Bauer wines and spirits is cheaper for me--it's on newbury--than the place in my 'hood and other stores... go figure!
(wine cask is in somerville, not cambridge)

I feel there is a di 4/5 ne 4/5 for me to do a story of clues so he4/5 it is. Was hi5/14 as a teacher in 1998 There are advantages & disadvantages to teaching. Teachers have to ex 5/20 a lot of energy with their students.Teachers come across all different kinds of students. Some students are ne 4/5s and others are not. There can be cliques between te4/4agers which can causes ri 5/16 between students. Some students do not always gr5/14 teachers with respect, others do.It hi4/5 me hard when students are disrespectful Students hu 4/6 for what makes you tick and play on that. Sometimes fights er 5/14 in the classroom and students get hu 4/6. Students can be ir4/5 by other students. Sometimes students ex 4/9 the classroom without permission. Some students are just pr 5/16 and can ga4/6 you w/their behavior. Some students gr5/16 when assigned homework. However,Some are are so pu 4/6 & innocent. Some students are pu5/14 than other students. In addition to different kinds of students, there are also different kinds of teachers. Some teachers are so bad they getfi 5/18. However, it is hard to get fi 5/18 if you have te 6/21 or are te 7/36. Some teachers havetr 5/12 teaching&decided it was not for them. Some teachers become ti5/12 of teaching. Some teachers are ti 7/32 than others and burn out. Other teachers have a special gi 4/9 to be teachers. Some can teach for ag 4/6 and never burn out. All in all, I ag5/14 with other teachers that it is a very rewarding profession, that much is tr 4/5. I'd ur4/7 any young person to become a teacher.I hope you have pr 5/14 some words out of my clues. Now I am ti 5/12 and must get ready for bed. Bye babblers!

there was this wonderful server at the Laundry who had a texas accent and she would always ask.. you want the stanky cheese tonight?

pr8 is a church "kneeler" -- combines french words for pray and god
pr7 is old fashioned way of asking, pr8 is what you kneel on to pray.
pr7 is a word Shakespeare would use in a request
tx wht
since i am jewish i would love another clue for that pr 8.
mkg i am jewish. i figured it out. come on
or you can google "kneeler french"
pr + latin abbrev for 'that is', + french word for god ( oh, mon ****)

yw :-)
My brain is fading quickly.
Hello everyone. I thought my ears were burning, Une. LOL
hey, jac! LOL
i need to find chocolate - be back
Hi Jacula
I think I might know why Lickety wasn't around today. I saw MrP on FB and she's had a nasty accident. She was getting the chickens in and walking on a wobbly plank when a flapping chicken startled her and she fell off the plank. Has broken her left fibula (calf bone) and her right ankle.
oh my god!
Doesn't have much luck with her bones, does she?:-(
jeezomeez!
oh no - too bad - hope she recovers quickly
I found some Hersheys special dark easter eggs - lets see if it helps my game
Momn - She's going to be immobile for quite a few weeks, I imagine.
after everything she's gone through, this is absolutely unbelievable . . .
Une - I know. I was horrified when I read her message on FB.
hope the tibia wasnt involved = those combo tib/fib fractures are the worst
Momn - she only mentioned fibula. Let's hope her leg bones are in better shape than her arm bone.
ouch, that is terrible news about mrp
Here's part of what MrP said on FB. I don't suppose she'll mind me quoting. Hope not anyway! "Sucks! Fractured the left fibular just below the knee and the right ankle has nasty ligamental damage to top it all off. "
ouch - ankle is bad - currently have dd with broken ankle - had to be pinned and plated whch menat ten days in hospital whilst waiting for the swelling to go down - then an infection which meant another two weeks in hospital then another 2 weeks and only just aloowed on crutches sovery nasty and hugs and good htoughts to them
Tanja, peri, Une, Momn. I'll pass your good wishes on.
I wish her a very speedy recovery
ty
Please do
thanks, jac, major hugs to her!
I love your icon Jacula
It's done.
Momn - Yes, it is a good wolf/werewolf icon.
oh such bad news for Mr P!
A clue for the ur6 for fireworks please
ur + ei4/5
wht - ur6 is a chemical word.
ur + vowel + ***s of March
ty Une. I was going medical and getting nowhere.
hellp jacs. ty for the clues
Fireworks
Hi TO. y/w
yw :-)
Well done wht.
opps that was supposed to say hello
woohoo wht
Mr P and clan seem to be having a run of bad luck.
TO - I read it as 'hello'. Must have compensated.
ah, by now you speak my language
Ty jac, I couldn't have finished without your clues.
TO - I meant like reading what you expect to see rather than what is actually there, i.e. sentences without vowels.
wht - y/w.
Hello
Hi Herin.
Hi herinfernallady
I took a lot longer to reboot than I thought.
Herin - did you see the news about MrP's accident?

Howdy tonight!
Jacula ProfileUnited Kingdom Here's part of what MrP said on FB. I don't suppose she'll mind me quoting. Hope not anyway! "Sucks! Fractured the left fibular just below the knee and the right ankle has nasty ligamental damage to top it all off. "
Repeated that for Herin to save her going into full chog for it.
Hi MP
Jacula ProfileUnited Kingdom I think I might know why Lickety wasn't around today. I saw MrP on FB and she's had a nasty accident. She was getting the chickens in and walking on a wobbly plank when a flapping chicken startled her and she fell off the plank. Has broken her left fibula (calf bone) and her right ankle.
I read it. poo
th4/5 th5/12x2 th,45 th8,45 th5,12 th6,30 th7,44 and th4,6 Hope that helps Mom
Hi MPit.
th8 is an unlucky number.
Hi jac...
Hi wht and herin
I have the list - thanks anyway wht - just not helping. got the first 3 - guess I need more chocolate - working on it
I see Herin's already read the news.
th4.5 before the unlucky number is the start of that number.
You're a doll Jacula
th5 following is another number.
Yep.
The th's include two numbers and some words about frugality
th6.30 is what you practise when you save money. th7 is plural.
Hi Mout
Mpt even
And when you are done, you are th**
th4.6 is a short form of a longer word. 'You'll pull th***g*'
Sorry trying to find a pdf
first ex6/33 clue pls?
pl of the ex5
more than one word about frugality?
(btw wht whoo hoo!)
TO - verb form of the ex5 before it. You might ex5 some influence or some pressure.
ty whit i think that is 6/33
I would be more explicit but I don't want to ex5 myself
need word after that one
got them all - thanks everyone
LOL wht.
sigh i have to go pack
The ex6,36 is an old fashioned stage direction
jmc - where are you off to?

sigh I have to go and do my homework :(
ru6/21 pls
NYC for a confab that I would happily miss
I hope you won't get the shakes without your Babble fix, jmc
when is that je?
ex6/36 is a stage direction meaning 'leaves the stage', often seen in Shakespeare scripts.
a participant in a marathon peri
jmc - oh, bad luck! Hope it's not too arduous.
doh, thanks jmc
And I thought this grid was a marathon.
To, that is hard to clue. it is ex plus 2 vowels, then two consonents from the top left corner.
ru6/21 - one who dashes along in a race.
it starts at 4 pm tomorrow at Riverside Church where MLK gave teh his most amazing speech 1 year before his assassination
ty, Jac
See jmc, Babble is giving you encouragement
one day?
and it goes until 4 pm on Monday but I may have to stay and glad hand donors before heading home

Anyway, I am off. I need to get some sleep. Happy Babbling

'Bye herin.

jacs is bogglong whilst babbling?
TO - yup.
drure
jacs is boggling and babbling whilst babbling
I was boggling and goggling and gagging earlier. Other Half and stepdaughter had got Final Destination 3 in 3D for us to watch. I'm not fond of gore at the best of times but especially not in 3D! Also, watching in 3D made me feel drunk/sick. I gave up in the end and left them to it.
gi6/27 pls?
Momn - change one consonant in that dr word (sounds like what bosoms do as you age).
hi quick question for the FB peeps here....
finally fireworks, now off to read before bed
hello babble friends!
what's the other word game a lot of us played, not scramble, but another one, you can set the number of rounds for it
NOggin?
gi6/27 = encircled. verb form of the gi4 before it, TO.
Heya Trifs ..
'Night peri. See you on Scrambe later.
ty jacs
Hi Torg.
that is not it
Hi feather.
Hi Trif.
waiting for someone else to answer Feathers' question before I go
scramble server is down
i thought it was maybe text twist, but if so, it's really changed since last time i played
scrambe?
tired, going now.
feather - word twist?
Scramble, Lexulous?
that may be it!
Feather, yes, there was text twist, too.
that's it! thank you! bye!
hiyas. photos of seussical the musical are on my FB page, if anyone cares to see....
Fun name for the musical, Trif.
'Bye feather.
it was SO GREAT, jacula! Loved every minute of it
Glad to hear that, Trif.
I enjoy a good musical.
Anyone still after clues? I can do about 20 more minutes then will have to go to bed as I have a massive beef joint to get in the oven by midday and it's now 3.05am.
no i think i will quit and turn in
The joint needs low, slow pot-roasting for 5 and a quarter hours.
ty though
Sleep well, TO.
Its after 11 pm for me and 18 left - not going to happen tonight but thanks for the offer Jacula
Okay Momn.
need 6 g and 7 p words., not worth ir
I have never cooked a beef joint - maybe called something different here?
TO - if you want to go for it I will try to help. It's up to you.
Momn - a beef joint is a large piece of bovine meat. In this case it's brisket.
no ty good ngiht all
Okay TO. Goodnight.x
Yes I have made brisket and it takes slow cooking for a long time but it is soooo good
Ah, well you do know what I mean then Momn.
Momn - do you cook yours on the hob in water or in the oven, tightly covered after browning it?
In the oven - tightly covered in aluminum foil
I can't use the slow cooker (electric hotpot) 'cos the joint's too big for it. Will use the oven and foil.
oh oh...need pr8/55 pls
Ah, we think alike.
My pressure cooker and crock pot are also too small. The oven works just fine. Low temp for a long time.
Time for bed - enjoy your brisket and thanks for the help. Maybe see you all tomorrow. Night all!
MPit - pr8 is a piece of furniture used for praying. Not a hassock. The word ends with the French word for God '****'.
'Night Momn. Sleep well.
ty jac...good clue!
pr8 = 'spied upon' + 3 vowels.
77 left for me
MPit - glad you got it. Hope the clue that followed helps others who don't parlez Francais.
merci
tres bien.
Last ditch cafe for filling up now...
ae8/45 and also es7/32 = one of refined sensibilites.
hello all! back to check in for a few.

he5.24 = jinxed.
gr7/52 = what a swindler or hoaxer did.
Hi stid.
I was just taking a few guesses at clues that might be needed before I go to bed. List is in my profile and on BabAnon, should you need it.

Jac...do you have the second i word? I have the ir 4/5....
thanks for the UN words
stid - speak for yourself! Mine are still quite pert. Okay, I can hold a pencil CASE rather than just a pencil under them but... what the heck. LOL
(un-words -- most of enable?)
NM! Just got it! TY anyway!
roflmao... jac, I need more industrial strength holsters for mine!
go car go!
car - ei****, ne****, or come hi****.
Well Stid, I'm a mere 38D.

That's 38D UK size, stid.
Twins twins ..
i don't know how that translates, Jac.

Easy tor!
rofl tor! NOW we know how to get your attention!
Hang on stid, I'll check.
Torg - calm down.
Yes, I have watermelons strapped to my chest!
Actually, I am going to go with honeydews!
Although they are neither as round or as firm!!!! UGH!
38D in UK is 38C in US.
okay, down to 35. will go pack my suitcase and back in a few.
*considers boob inflation in UK vs. US*
38D in US is 38DD in UK. I BEAT YOU STID! LOL

snap, une. lol!
:-D
*grin* that's what I thought, but when you conjugate sourire?
wait a minute -- won't that be on Monday, stid?
j'ai souri
i smiled
oohhh, yeah, je souris, i smile -- thought we were working with nouns :-)
we go to Vic tomorrow, Jill. Then SSI Monday. And home Tuesday.
:-D that's it! I can't do much with verbs anymore, but I recognize it when I see it! LOL
oh, I see, stid!
:-D
so bon voyage, stid
my biggest problem with French is that when you SAY it, you don't make a change for different spellings. souri and souris sound the same! I get very confuzzled.
merci, chere Jill!
I have your coffee thingy on TOP of my suitcase so I don't forget. But I have faith in my ability to forget something...
not to worry, stid :)
I am getting better at not worrying, jill... practice in being less than perfect makes... um... perfectly imperfect?
sounds sensible :)
*yawn* well... I think I should get some shut-eye. (((everyone))) see you-all later. SEE you soon, Jill! :-D
