da7
if you can have da 7, why not ba 7?
I tried ba7 early on but didn't think to try da7
grem is the DA 7 a word we should know?
probably
that' s what i want to know cybrnan.sniff'
adeem
i just tried it too!
ty grem
in7/36, if not already called
yes it was -- wish I could see it!
there is a ba7, didn't call it, figured someone else would have
no flosey, but we think there should be
sorry, didn't realize it wasn't accepted! should check
da7 x 2
the ba7 sounds more reasonable than the da7
that's what i think too flosey
the IN 7 that was should that be a 6/7, if not i am calling In 6/7 :)
I called in7 and it was a 6/7
but there are too many 6s to bother calling them, unless they are neat words
i knew it was called grem just making sure we didnt have two butit is supposed to be 6/7
Which DA for the DA 7?
does the 2nd da 7 begin the same?
there could be another in7 - still missing one 7
no, nan
it's a da 6/7
grem which DA do we use?
bottom right corner
thanks grem:)
it sounds like the planet where Yoda lived
good heavens -- we're supposed to remember details from a movie we watched 20 years ago?

BTW everyone, spoke to Jill as soon as I got home today. She wanted you to know she's missing everyong. Internet problems continue, apparently a few others are affected by this problem, has to do with her server and Telus. Hoping it won't be much longer.
**everyonE**
Telus?
oh great.. thanks flosey.. I miss her
thanks for the update flosey -- tell her we miss her too
Telus is a wireless carrier in Canada
ISP too, I guess
grem ohh thanks
Telus is our telephone service here MLF, and they are also an Internet connection
coolhad no idea
i was wondering where jill was
Jill has been very frustrated by it all, as you can imagine
not too long ago we had a virus in our computer we had to start all over
mica
anyone know if the lst is up yet or not?

How are you all and YAH ta lickety
Grem, I really appreciated your clues while at my daughter's, (last 5 days) don't know why, but I wasn't able to get Lickety's clues
helo?
no problem
There seemed to be a lot of annoying, uncommon 4s in this one.
The 6s and 7s were interesting.
ag4 sounds like hillbilly talk
hi herin you're not invisible
ireworks
wtg dart
That's where you shoot anger and vitriol into the air.
Hey. I am watching Cooking in the Danger Zone Chernobyl on a farm 15k from Chernobyl. You just can't so no to Baba and her cooking
got that 2nd in7 for fireworks - weird word
wtg josh
good morning everybody! Winer is back! Cold and raining; I'm jumping in draped in a shawl and many layers of clothes!
interestingly, the wild mushrooms here in the Alps were badly contaminated by the Chernobyl explosion!
Hi Ruby.
Ruby it wasn't a neat exclusion zone. A lot of mostly elderly people have returned to the exclusion zone
hi, herinfernal, and everyone else. what am I doing up at this hour???
Ruby Mushies suck up the radioactive particles
locals are still afraid to eat the wild mushrooms here (and in the stores, many of them come from eastern Europe anyway)
yp
yup*
Yes.
Hi MElon
MElon your kitty looks rather pissy
must get to bed, it's been a long day, good night all, be back sometime tomorrow
hi and bye flosey, see you tomorrow
Ruby I don't really remember it I was young when it happened
NBT
I used to live not far from Three Mile Island, but nobody made a big deal at the time. Cherobyl I barely remember, but when I moved to France, people were still worried about it, evidently the radiation swatch went right over these mountains
swath*
It does frighten me
unfortunately, everything frightens me! lol?
Ruby I was just looking at statistics. In Chernobyl was approximately 400 times more potent than the atomic bomb dropped on Hiroshima This is atomic rubbish. IN the Vic bush fires last year the energy of the fires produced 1500 times was released
I think it is very hard to trust what we read in the papers. Frequently, I think local wisdom is better. When a local farmer says don't eat the mushrooms from "our" woods more than once a week, he is probably correct
Ruby this is all scientific calulations
that is very scary about the fires in Australia; I had no idea of the extent! Were you affected?
yay! half
No I wasn't as I live in the city. My cousin fought the fires and his old house was raised to the ground
that is horrible. Was he able to save family treasures, photos and such? I always wonder what I would save in a fire.... I think dogs first, one statue next and then photographs
They didn't live there. My parents have all there photo's and important papers in one spot
that's very smart, keeping all the important stuff together. I need to think about that
I grew up in the hills so we are used to having a plan
were there a lot of animals where you grew up?
Not really we had 2 dogs and a cat and fish
is this one of those "breaks"?
is this one of those "breaks"?
yes
I meant wild ones roaming (or croawling!) thrugh the garden
Spiders, goannas, lizards
birds
big lizards?
yes
I think of Australia as having fabulous, but sometimes scary, wildlife. In France, there are very few edible animals left, except in the mountains. We don't even have squirrels, have only seen two (and I think it was the same one twice) in 11 years.
No rabbits or deer because they ate them all.
wow.
We do, however, have foxes in the field above the house and there are vipers around although I've never seen one
no other poisonous things, though
and we have beautiful spiders!
and many tiny drab lizards
Ruby I love Orb weavers
oh, and lovely small black bats that live in the cliff above us
don't tell anybody, but there is a kind of beautiful spider, many -colored, that I feed. She is an argiope and I call her Caliope!
I've learned how to catch flies without killing them
happy birthday sandrafrances
hello diann
hello ruby - how many words are there ??
169
the first 50 were easy, now it's one by occasional one
103 words and had better get busy!! see you later

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SANDRAFRANCES xx
THANK YOU SO MUCH DIANN M K XX
yay for sandrafrances!!!
I'll be 67 in mid-April and have just "planted" lots of moss in my little rock garden. My husband read that you make a yoghurt solution, so we'll see. I've been planting it for two weeks now and it is starting to look pretty
are there any lurkers?
how many words please?
169
hi stephie
hi ruby

good morning all
Hello Volley
hi lyn!
Good morning Babble buddies.
howdy
hi Scrabs
I will stop typing w words now.
lol
Hi Babblers
morning Aloy
hi aloy
lol, just read your post, Scrabbler.. have some coffee yet?
hi Dee and lynxxx
Hi Aloy. I am drinking tea now. I still occ drink coffee but I cleaned the coffee maker and put it away 2 wks ago.
flavored tea?
All flavors--pomegranate, peppermint, green tea....regular pekoe now.
I decided to lower my caffeine intake to see if my migraine frequency would decrease.
sounds great, more of a variety than with coffee. Ah, my daughter also has migraines and does not drink coffee, says it helps
ea4 was not so ea4 for me to see it---evidence that I am still not fully conscious.
takes me a while too.. I am hunting a ca4, have been for a while, lol
ah, got it, whew
dues
Hi Red!
sorry....Was lurking. made an error....heres a free clue!
hiya red, you may wave from the pb
passing toast from the pb to red...
Waves vigorously. Making blue berry muffins again, so maybe I can get out...soon.
hi Red
yummmm, we will consider the muffins a "toll tax" for your exit
yum
Excellent, will brew virtual coffee and tea for everyone here, maybe wake the cabana boys to help. pull out a good breakfast.
can smell those blueberries baking from here
Buddhist shrine alert, da6/7 combo, newbie for me
ha - crazy ga4.8 for my last word for the night - Bye all
newbie for me, too
buddhist shrine ... I'll search
see you lynn
congrats, lynxxx.. g'nite!
nite lyn
hi Merk.. da + not stop + beginning of what a sheep says
ditto, Lynxx
TY, Aloy
yw, fun word to say
hello everybody. I always thought caffeine was good for migraines!!
strange word, but thanks, aloy!
In Star Wars there was the Da6 planet or galaxy.
Ruby, it can abort them but if one does not maintain the same intake it can lead to more migraines.
hi ruby.. no, it seems that caffeine is good for regular headaches, but not for migraines
this grid is OK but I can't seem to find any 7's. Any hints?
I also want to drink more green tea--health benefits.
da7 is the pl of the Buddhist shrine
Oh, that's very interesting. I had migraines so long ago that they were still prescribing cafergot!
I think I got them from birth-control pills -- oh so long ago!!!!
Now the triptans are the most popular meds--"Imitrex", etc.
I don't think they existed yet....
Nope--new in last 10 yrs or so.
and I had migraines about 30 years ago
in7 is the pt of to enclose in a box
Well, I must shower and then drive to the Indian Reservation for the day.
for bingo?
TY, Aloy!
hagd, Scrabbler.. nice seeing you.. (-:
Nope, to work at the Health Center there all day--my usual Monday.
ty for the in7 but I still don't have the da7 but I've put the monkeys to work
aaah, better than gambling!
98 left for tonight.
bingo is a phantom word, BTW
just found da7 : compd word, tack on the edge of a polygon to the opp of night
ty aloy
I tried the same thing with bay, but it didn't work
yw, that is all the 7's I have so far
phantom: decade
fireworks

well, off to get some things done (hopefully) have a great day all!
bye, Dee.. have a great Monday!
see you later, 52 to go
go ruby go!!! ty, you, too aloy
ty dee!
I've been pruning and sweeping and need to lie down. But the garden is starting to be beautiful
rewarding work, ruby.. have a well deserved rest
our snow and ice are going fast, but we still cannot even begin to think of planting anything till end of may:(
ty, loved your "name" story in yr profile
morning, crossy!
hello crossy
morning ladies;))
they're predicting snow here for tomorrow, but I refuse to believe them, just betting on my daffodils!
lol a nice flower in the grid as well
I don't see it!
oh, that one! hahah
h'mm, didn't know that di5.14 was a former coin of the U.S.
he loves me, he loves me not
hello everyone
hello annie
Hi Annie!
hello ruby, aloy, crossy and everyone else lurking or not
annie;))
morning all... a few moments before leaving for work.
gm jmb!
morning, jmb
We had lunch in a diner yesterday. I ordered a BLT and, of course, crossy was in my thought immediately
thoughts*
indeed aloy was the old coinage term during the first 10 years.did you know that the first issue of american coins was melted directly from mrs washingtons silver service??
wow.. no, I did not know that
several examples are still in private hands and quite valuable
do you collect coins, crossy?
i do indeed,mostly canadian of course,but i have a general knowledge of U.S stuff
numismatist? can't remember
lol close enough
see you later, 50 l;eft
later, ruby
we have a bunch of old coins, passed down to us from relatives who collected them, but none of our children have an interest in that hobby .. so one of these days, we will sell them
be very careful selling,if they scent lack of coin smarts, the most your will get is 30% of book value
ty for that advice crossy, I'm sure you are right
there is a pricing book for U.S coins commonly called "the red book"
can be had at book stores for about 7 dollars
yes, I do know about that book.. we gave the coins to our B-I-L bc he wants to look them up in the red book
cause like i say im not big on u.s coinage but i do know that some of the 1920,s sliver dollars are worth a crazy ammount of money
holy cow, in6.27 = a meeting of S. African tribes. I knew that, lol
brb, time for a refill
i did have the fun of grading a bunch of U.S one dollar gold coins a few years back:) all were from the 1850,s and just a tad smaller than our current dimes
imagine those things, back in the time when a man earned 20 cents a day for a hard days work:/
and i killed the chat:(((
no you didn't crossy, everyone must be asleep
yaa, what is this day 10 and im not rattling anymore:)
de 5, 16 clue please
a 2 of spades is a...
bbl time to go...
ty
tennis term Merk or expletive.. "What the de5 are you doing"?
np,just got it 30 seconds ago myself;)
bye, jmb.. hagd
too slow aloy :))..here have a tea:)
That clue helped me get the second de 6 as well ... double thanks.
yaaa
lol, tx crossy
its that nice lipton bold brand;)
I need caffeine, but that's only an excuse, of course.
tetley*
this is an interesting grid, bc it is not too big and so I have time to look up all these newbies
feel like I'm getting an education, and crossy is helping (-:
sorry that Martha had to lose her tea set though
the fun doesn't end! Looked up sy4.8 to find out that it is a "cibol" which turns out to be an onion!
that makes sense
I think cipolla and cibolla are onion in italian and spanish
weird
but thanks for the sy
hi kje (-:
ahoy aloy!
well, fireworks just put an end to this fun grid experience.. thank goodness it wasn't a huge grid.. hope all you Babblers enjoy it too.. time to git along down the road
in7/40?
past tense to put into an enclosure
in7/40 - to put something in a set, say.. minus the L
opp of exclude, say
se6/27?
... and Fireworks!
yayayay merk!
hello all
se ... some women will try to se**** a guy.
my seasonal allergies are really bothering me.
ty merk
have you taken anything?
thought you only needed to try ONE thing
took zyrtec, OTC which only helped a little, took it last night
yw and ty everyone ... see you tomorrow sporadically ... I can see that already.
congrats merk and hi peri
5 or 10 mg?
have prescription Allegra but don't want to take any yet
5 mg
10mg is normal dose for an adult... you can take another now, then 10mg daily
really, ok, ty
Ah, this is a fun, fun grid!
hava a dentist appt thisa am. have a small cavity, oh jo
Not flowing with lots of suffixes, but interesting words.
*joy* even
just don't want to be drowsy when I drive
and done
Like the sy 4 ... is that considered a babblet?
yay for kje
claritin is OTC and nonsedating, zyrtec is middle sedating, allegra is less effective than those 2 in my opinion
congrats kje
ok, ty, kje
doesn't occur frequently enough to be a true babblet
nene is a babblet...
Yes, but nene is a real word at least.
gotta run - see you all later
bye kje
all are real words, mudd - LOL
hello
in whose dictionary?
hello herin
bbl
me, too
Hello Mudd
Mudd nene is a Goose but Nenes for Geese is not a word
interesting that the grid has bi5/18 and da4/7
HI Pab
hi herin
Hi Herin - I noticed in the chat that Jillibus was "missing" has she been found?
gtg see everyone tomorro
*oops tomorrow
Ok - found out she has internet problems - all is well
Good morning, Babblers! How's the grid today?
Finished. Nice middle sized grid/
excellent, and congrats!
Mari Jilli is having intermitant connection with internet. Sorry I was chatting
Good Morning Everyone - how are you all on this fine rainy Monday
Awesome Annie
anyone want a clue before I start my day? Hi Momneeds
Just starting out but thanks anyway
Good morning, Mom. Rain just stopped here
We are expecting 3 days of heavy rain - flooding expected again
I'm off to see The Wizard, bye dear babblers
Where are you, Momneeds
Have a good day Annie - I am in NH
Ciao Annie - have a great day
I will pray for no flooding, Momneeds
Oy, I'm jealous, Mom. I went to college in NH and I love it up there
Where did you go
bye again...*poof
Dartmouth - are you near Hanover?
Hello all
Good morning, Bob
Good morning kiddies
alittle over an hour away - awesome school.
and good morning hego
good morning Mr. Bob
Hi Hego
I'd move back if I could -- I love it up there
Rain, rain, rain, and more rain.
I have lived here all my life and do love it here.
Takuma, Do I hear you dissing Florida silently?
Good Morning, I need to change my icon to anything but this.
Hi Red
Yes, Red, you do. lol
It's a flower theme today.
Oh well...
Heh, no, Red. I'd never do such a thing
It's ok the summers here are rather, interesting.
I have Phineas and Ferb now Hego...
I wasn't saying I'd rather be anywhere than here -- NH just suits me better :)
syringes can also be a force for good.
I did a contract in Clarmont NH, for one summer and rather enjoye dthe hikes there.
but it was cold!
I think summer in NH has just about my favorite weather. I'll stop gushing now
Need to make some puzzle progress before I head off to work
hi everybody, back for another stab at the last 50!
Hi Ruby - I got to run for a bit - bbl
It is gorgeous and sunny and the house is wide open after a couple of grey, wet days. Spring is here, thanks to Hego
Go Ruby!!
Blushes modestly...
I'm on hold with our satellite company....arrghhh!
hate hold
and the music loop is bad and repetitious
It's become a way of life unfortunately, being on hold.
annoying because we paid the bill and they're saying we haven't. and in French, to boot!
And, the voice mail menu, motive for murder
Oh, gosh, in French, even
Time for me to get to work -- good luck all!
Bye Takuma
rain here too, seasonal allaergies and dentist appt. bah humbug!
bye takuma-san
poor peri!
Now that's a bad day, Peri! :-(
worse than being on hold; get a grip Ruby!
lots of people have it much worse than me, now worries. I will get thru the day. and hey maybe the sun will come out tomorrow
Yes, Annie.
*no worries*
that's the little Orphan one
Still on hold Rubes?
just got off. I actually think they are outsourcing their phone service; the young woman was speaking French with what sounded like a Chinese accent!
very hard to understand, but we're sorted out
Anythings possible.
so, how are you, Hego?
I'm good, Ruby. Status quo.
I think I've hit a wall with the grid but I am so happy with the garden that I don't care!
And that's a good thing.
the happy gardener. :o)
I've been "planting" moss for a few days on the raw-looking rocks around the tulips and it looks beautiful. Hard to tell if they will "take". Today I used a solution of yoghurt mixed with moss which Ruby kept trying to lick off the rocks
sounds delicious.
the first tulip opened today so there are hiacinths, scylla, daffodils, primroses and violets so far
sounds lovely, Ruby
saw lots of spring floers and trees in bloom yesterday, it was lovely
Are there any gy words?
off to do earrands, then the dentist, bbl
no hego
errands, even
bye Peri
and my housekeeper brought me a bouquet of pussywillow which evidently grow wild up above us. I kept them in a vase and today they are pollinating and growing roots. They're even fragrant -- who knew?
Not me
and the birds!!!!
I also have great birds here.
we don't have great birds, just a lot of them. Happily, they're all knew to me, so that's fun
It's a very quiet area and there's a patch of woods behind me.
new* duh
English as a lost language
I new what you meant. LOL
what birds do you get?
Mostly the normal east coast ones, Ruby
I think New Jersey gets great birds because of its being in the eastern corridor migrational path.....
I started learning about birds the one year I lived in Princeton
goldfinches and blue jays and cardinals
U=
except for a few, most of the birds here are pretty small
the odd turkey buzzard and red wing blackbirds now and then
I love the way goldfinches fly and flit
Also mostly a lot of them. robins galore
no blue jay or cardinals here
no robins, either
I like them too. Some nest in the tree on my lawn
our hedges are full of nests which I can hear but not see
You have completely different birds then
we've made the garden bird-friendly with a fountain/fish pond, hedges, lots of berries and a crazed husband who feeds them premium sunflower seeds 3X/day
I like the magpies in Europe, don't have those here.
the only ones in common are sparrows and the occasional woodpecker
It keeps him busy anyway
there are magpies but never on our property; I don't know why
better than setting fires hahahah.....
I dread hubby retiring. lol
Yup
this morning there was a pair of "Chardaronet Elegans" on the feeder, they have red, black and white heads, yellow and white epaulets and black and white tails. Even the beak is black and white.
Retirement is no joke!
the feeder is directly in front of the kitchen window and I can get a really good look without bothering the birds
and I keep my French field guide right at hand
The birds sound lovely, Ruby. I don't mind my retirement, it's his that makes me nervous. ;-)
I like bird watching too.
the best sighting, and it was only once and outside my studio (in the back) was a very big olive green (with a little red) woodpecker
Ooooo
I sort of miss working, but this is my first house and first garden, so that makes it OK. Also, his study is 2 floors away from my studio....
and I keep it messy, so he doesn't bother me, except by phone
nice arrangement
I'm finishing the basement to make Bill a music room. So I have a plan, you see.
very smart!
:-)
with its own little fridge?
and an electric kettle?
Not yet
But an idea to consider for sure
privacy is a real issue after retirement, I think, husbands tends to follow their wives around
Oh, yes!
I insist on certain hours to myself - selfish, but life-sustaining for me
And we're used to having the place to ourselves
and I was single for a very long time between marriages!
Not selfish, sensible.
It's the only way to coexist.
Oooo big adjustment.
Ruby and the garden are luring me out into the sunshine, but I hope to see you later! ((hego))
HAGD Ruby.
bye
byee
good morning all
Hi Boo
hi all
hi jmc
Hi jmc, are you building an ark?
not yet -- i still have lots of branches left from snowmagaddon to use if needed
lol jmc
this looks like a mean grid
not too
not bad so far jmc. i just passed halfway with little trouble.
But, I've slowed down some.
hi Feather
yes but you are better at this than me feather!
if i don't dedicate my day to the grid i often do not finish
Or me
i often don't finish either! depends on how much time i want to spend. or energy.
i used to finish every single grid. that lasted about a year or so.
true
But you're still really good.
aww, thanks
i would say i used TRY to finish every single grid for about a year
yw :o)
anyone have a y word? that's my only zero box
I have gotten better at finding twisty words and babblets
NO fb
no sorry feather
ok, i'll keep puzzling at it
ya4/8 - Baba Ya**, different last vowel
got it. it's ya4/8
hi ata
oh, hi ata! lol, thanks
i just got it, it's dumb
a 4,5 combo
and hi :)
Hi Ata
best way to get a retired hubby out of your hair is to make sure he has a room for himself,a den,a fortress of solitude,a bunker of testoserone, all oak paneled,so he can jam his hunting knife into the wall to hang up his jacket, lots of leather and books and ships in bottles and brass clocks, and old wooden duck decoys glowing mellowly in the light of a small fireplace, and not a drop of lace to be seen:)))
lmao, a man cave!
i tried all three vowels :-(
yes!! a man cave!
ya and an abbreviation for a soldier
Crossy, you been eavesdropping! lol
all my hubby would want is a place to smoke weed
lol
i gave up the deamon weed in 1994 lol
ty feather i apparently read different fairy tales!
Hubby will have his room, but no ducks. Pianos and guitars galore.
I just sold my second piano. Yeah.
And a computer, must have a computer!
well said, Crosshair, mine retired last July to "live the dream" RVing - holy moly, no extra room there lol
wtg mix
Hi mixi
what would a girl cave be then?
in my man cave i want to almost feel the westing wind groaning in the spars... and books, lots of books and maps
Hubby has room with big plasma TB and comfy chair.
a craft room
lol the girl cave is the rest of the house lol
Hi hego
right crossy!
my girl cave: room with a hot tub, lounge chair with side table stocked with books and snacks, computer, nice music, and sunlight.
but for it is the garden
A girl cave would have no man around, no stove, no laundry or dishes, for sure.
in my girl cave, children would NOT be allowed!
oh,children are verbotten in both caves
Sounds good feather
My cave has far too many books, all my art stuff, a big dog bed, the cat's basket, and a comfy chair!
hmm, yes, and a craft closet with big table to work on
see, a man likes to be able to turn around without knocking a glass figurine off some dainty 3 legged table lol and nice deep comfy chairs maybe a telescope so i can watch the ships come in to dock
top e?
good luck finding a dainty figurine in my house
lol
tope, I have the print correcting one
nm
top e
a persian prince
..a nice chess set so he can invite his old cronys over for a game of chess and a snifter of brandy and divide up the world once in a while lol
i don't like dainty figurines too much either. too much to dust.
right

in7 = in+box with carrying handle and pt
Steve - your free 14 day period may be over - when mine was I couldnt see stats or anything anymore other than the grid
Good morning/afternoon all.
how bout the in 7/40?
jayk have not got it yet
Below the stats is a list of web sites- choose lickety - give you the list of word clues for the puzzle
Hi Haz
in7/40 - if in7/40 had an L in it, it would mean a word that emcompasses, that involves. Or in plus what a cow chews, finish with a plural ending.
wat is lickety
amazing, Haz! thx so much
LIckety's list gives the first two letters and points values of each word.
Find it below the stats - gives you a clue list of words in the puzzle. I cant live without lickety
You're welcome, Jayk.
lickety is my hero;)
Good Morning Crossy
HAZ! La Glitteratina!
good day M.N.H
hi Crossy
Hello Ata! And Hobbitellinarinabettinaella? How is she?
Hi everyone! what is lickety
drying off :D
lol no more coffee for haz :)
hi fineisfine
howdy boo
boobear, what is lickety
You've asked the same question at least three times, fineisfine and you've been answered each time. Haven't you seen the answers?
she needed a bath. she wallowed through a lot of stinky mud
im new here, i got this yesterday and i dont know much about this
fine lickety question answered at 9.42 by momneedshelp
Lickety gives you the first two letters in each word in the puzzle plus their point values
Yes, there's wet dog smell, and there's muddy stinky dog smell. Something HAS to be done about muddy stinky dog smell.
My first day was a little confusing too - welcome aboard fine
yes .... especially sulphurous stinky muddy dog smell
haz, give him a bath, thats always fun for me
Oh, sulphurous as well, not just plain stinky?
riem
it was very gloopy, anoxic mud. She had a great time.
I have two at home that exude a fine wet stinky dog smell
labs and rain - watch out
labs are the worst!
Why were you exploring muddy places? And is your weather bad again?
once the entire house and furnishing smell like dog, then everyone will be fine:0
Look below the grid, fineisfine, and see the heading "Friends of Babble"....the top listing in the middle column is Lickety's Babble Clues....go to that site and you'll see the list of today's words, how many letters each word contains and what the value of each one is....read the instructions and you can paste in the list you've created on Babble to see what you still might need. Invaluable!
Hunting season is always a thrill for me when my husband comes home with ours
just because the nearest beach is a tad muddy - it's right at the edge of an estuary. And I was just poddling around taking pics of seaweed. She was poodling with me
jimmel, thanks so much!
carrying case with a handle? hint please
You are welcome...it can be confusing at first, but stick with it and become addicted like the rest of us!
clue for bi 5/14
Go with the cow clue bichon instead
bi5/14 is a plural.

Good afternoon all

Hi FM
((((FM))))
Good afternoon, FM.

hI fmITCH AND THE REST OF YOU ALL bABBLERS
howdy bichon
FM!!!
Hi bichon
hi bichon
I have been looking for awhile now and ready to scream - help on the de6/30 - second one please
in6/27 - in plus a little application of paint or something, finish with a vowel.
Or in plus backward opposite of good, finish with a vowel.

ty haz
Hello Haz and Ata, ((crossy)) hurst bichon and everyone! Sorry for the delay in greeting back just seem an amazing site.
*slapping head* thanks Haz
FM said a wooooord
Asparrowhawk just dived bomed the garden and the sparrows!
amazinger than us??
You're welcome, Mom.
what is a sparrow hawk?
oh rants, sorry all, will go and chat from the PB.
Hi FM
Dear goodness, FM has been rendered practically hysterical!
lol sorry so excited, typing is more sub standard than usual.
Dive booming - not a stealth operation?
a smallish raptor
Did the sparrows escape? is there carnage?
OK I go and calm down and come back :)
I googled it, wish it would make an appearance here in Connecticut
No, no, we're expert in interpretation, FM, we'll know what you're talking about. Have you a cup of tea to hand?
se6,27?
As far as I could see it didn't get any of them but it all happened so fast.
we always understand. we just always enjoy pretending not to
I do haz:)
se6/27 - much like the de6/30 but more attractive, leading to pleasure...
se 6 sounds like the de 6
I know Ata and I am glad my goofs bring so much hilarity!
does anyone want to give me a hint for the 6 letter ones or 7
ty haz and bichon.
yvw
You're welcome, mixi.

Can't help you fine as haven't started the grid.
ca6 - where sailors might stow their se6/30
Haz the cluemeister is in full flow though :)
afternoon babblers!
da6/33 and its plural da7/48. da, then a backwards place in Ireland where peat is dug (think marsh land) and finish with a vowel.
Haz are you getting snow this week, looked dodgy on the forecast? Afternoon EvaN!
Hello EvaN!
It's turned remarkably cold again, FM, and yes, snow is forecast for tomorrow. Husband has only just got his tyres changed back again. It's like cloots, he shouldn't have cast them until May.
cold + rainy here today, though its supposed to be 72F here thursday! cant wait!!
Tsk, he shouldn't have!
I know, but it had all been shaping up so nicely for spring.
Haz, the da 6, am I correct that the place in Ireland where peat is dug is a 3 letter word, part of the word Babble comes from
You can blame him if it snows, just like I am blaming my neighbour for the fact it is pouring down as she put her washing out to dry today.
Yes, bichon, if you have the da4/7 - the derogatory term for a foreigner, just add the first letters of the noise a sheep makes.
I've never heard of that peat word, but I did get the da 6. TY
You're welcome.
You're not doing the grid today, FM?
HAve been busy with work so haven't had a chance to start yet but might a little later.
lol, so much easier to clue that da if you know star wars... the planet where luke goes to meet yoda... (i don't know if that's the correct spelling but ata would)
plus 3 celcius here and rain..a virtual heat wave;)
You're missing out on learning about Buddhist memorials and French clogs.
you are presuming I didn't know about them already?
35 f or so for my american friends;)
LOL crossy
Poor Americans, we Europeans try to confuse them with funny temperatures, military time and proper spelings.
like spelings, you mean?
lol indeed we do the same but we are right on top of them lol
You're right, hurshy, spellings. I blame this computer screen - nothing to do with me not wearing my reading glasses.
LOL! well picked up hrysh!
mind you who am i to talk?
hrysh has quite a Welsh look to it...
i'm cool with welsh
we tease them, but we do love them..please dont bomb us uncle sam!!..
so for 7's we have 2 da, in, and what?
i have a pair of in 7,s
Two in7. One is in7/36, the other in7/40.
ah, ok, thanks
this will be one of those grids with killer 4 letter babblets ..i can see it coming:(
and lots of phantoms
clue for ca 4/7
nm.. found it
ca4/7 - plural word.
the way a southerner would ask for those things used to open locks
lol cool
i can't find the 7/40 :(
Must go and finish off a few bits, back soon.
in7/40 - structured like a word that encompasses and involves, but it's missing an L. in plus what a ruminant chews, give it a plural ending.
See you later, FM.
nice clue haz,i was mulling over how to clue it,but without success
drat those plurals without the singular
and thank you kindly haz
Thanks,crossy, and you're welcome, hurshy.
the other day i was being silly and doing something which my husband thought looked like the prow-riding scene from titanic, so he said something about me trying to be queen of the world, and i said, no, HAZ is queen of the world.
And did he give you a funny look?
no, i'd told him that you were queen of the world before. he just forgot.
Ah well, he can't be expected to remember everything.
good grief..
it's true. boys' heads are filled with sports information and car information and stuff like that, so it crowds out other things.
Is he okay? I know he had some health problems?
he's okay at the moment, but we still haven't got the biopsy results to say if it was cancer or not.
I hope the news is good.
give him my best and i hope it is benign(SP) cannot think today
You got it right, crossy!
like i say,im dealing with fuzzy brain today
they usually come back very fast with the results hurshy
You are all too funny!
Hi your majesty Haz
Hello, hego!
my first cancer they came back with it in 24 hours and my second was confirmed same day
clue for ce 4/5
not always Crossy
Some pathology is trickier than others.
well i can only speak from my own experience,im sure it may differ with others
ce4/5 - a liberal helping of the third letter of the alphabet.
but i know the waiting can be hard indeed
very tough
we've been watching a cable series on the Tudors.
Very racy. Didn't realize you were up to such shenanigans back then. lol
I didn't watch it - I know the one you mean, I think Jacula talked about it.
it was quite - stylised. LOL
lol there is nothing new under the sun, just better and more novel ways to do it
Yes, not the history of the textbook, shall we say?
Up to Jane Seymour at present
distinctly more bare bottoms than in textbooks
no Haz. But Henry was a rogue.
Like the acting though
Misunderstood.
Really!
He was only thinking of the country. His own feelings didn't come into it at all.
You think so Haz?
I'm writing in tongue in cheek font.
Now you're pulling my leg, Lady Haz!
I noticed. :o)
Hi Babblers can anyone clue the se6/27 please ;o)
You'll probably get some historian wanting to make a name for him/herself who'll give you any version of history you like.
think of Henry
true Haz
Don Juan - licenced to se6/27.
Great clue Haz thanks ;o)
Or, in proper spelling, licensed to se6/27. Casanova was another one....
I can't wait for the Elizabeth part.
You're welcome, Norma.
I never get tired of her.
She's certainly a character who gives full scope for the actresses playing her.
And historically interesting as well.
Quite a gal
Haz would make a good Elizabeth
Yes, indeed.
with some heels :P
agreed
big heels
Heels and a red wig.
Oh wait, I'd end up looking like little Orphan Annie or something.
Actually, having seen Liz's tomb, I don't know that she was so tall.
lol Haz
still heels LOL
:-)
Tall people are so smug.
I know. But they can reach things, so no wonder.
*smug*
We do need them for that
They don't have to waste energy dragging chairs or stepladders to do things.
Top shelf shopping is a breeze for them.
Middle shelf shopping hard for Haz
I have to climb the shelves like a rock climber.
Ata's on a roll today.
Yes, she's managing to give a distinct impression that I veer towards being minuscule.
microscopic even
A Swiss roll woudl be nice
clue for da 6 pls
Boo, do you have da4/&? If so, add first letters of the noise a dog or a sheep makes.
da4/7 that should be - derogatory term for a foreigner.
Morning, all. Sorry if that has already been asked, but... Clue for se6/27?
isn'
isn't that what the hippies used? dayglo?
se6/27 - Casanova and Don Juan were licensed to se6/27.
hi ruru
Hello ruru and Judi.
Ah! Ty, Haz. Firewords!
hi Judy
you need a license for that?
Congratulations, Judi!
YAAAYYY!!! judi!
And with that - I go to lunch. In the rain. Crappy day here.
You mean yours isn't up to date, ruru?

Enjoy your lunch, Judi.
I think Ruru only has a license to stalk.

LOL
Moves piles of restraining orders.. what do you mean judi?
:-D
And you thought Henry was a rogue, Hego.

But I never suspected Ruru.
ruru won't know whether to be pleased or flattered.

Or even displeased, I meant!
Aha
Or all at once!
Hi hgk

he has a foot-fetish
How many shoes have been destroyed?
two pairs so far...
Yours?
yours or mrs rurus?
he limits his destructive behaviour to shoes and dog toys..so at least that
oh mine ata..mrs. Ru would kill him over destroying her shoes....lol
LOL :D
I imagine Imelda Marcos never had dogs.
teehee
other than her husband i guess
Hobbit has never chewed a shoe *smug*
double teehee
Can you imagine Dylan let loose in her shoe collection?
so smug
(bets that haz is into shoes too)
Spangle has never chewed a shoe either. *smug as well*
smugged out
we have good dogs
Very good dogs. They're spaniels.
yes. clever brave lovely dogs
lol
He'll get over the chewy stage.
Lovely dogs who are genetically programmed to ignore shoes.
Dogs of Glory
Do you arms hurt from patting yourselves on the back?
Who are even superior to Cats of Glory, and that's saying something.
:-D
nope. spaniels can do taht for us too
My arms aren't long enough to reach my back, hego.
I am small, don't you remember?
they are lovely dogs, spanials are
Yes, teeny tiny Haz.
They are. Decorative and useful so William Morris would approve of having them in the home.
only clean and neat ones though
Do they dust?
As if I'd have dust in my house.
uh oh more smug
(england's Martha Stewart)
yup
same here. I have a cleaner now too
and she puts points on loo rolls
Now who doesn't know whether to be insulted or flattered?
me too. had one for years
Wait, if you have no dust in your house, what cushions the fall when you drop a glass?
hello 102 t0 go
Ohh, your cleaner must have had the same training as FM's.
Hello, all!
Hello, VIcuna!

Hello, peri.

Not sure I ever heard of that one before.
If anybody wants, I can give Ata's address for the begging letters. Share and share alike, isn't that your motto, Ata?
me niether
Ooo communism
I'll forward them on to D. His money, remember. I just sit around wasting it.
yes, please Haz. and the name of her cleaner.
good job, Ata.
See that, Ata, they're trying to poach your cleaner.

Unless the embalmer does a tip-top job.

ghouls!
True enough, or you go the cremation route.
ab5/16 - plural of the sort of calculator the Romans used.
I can't ab5 these clues! LOL
b
Wee beady things in rows...
If you ab5/14 yourself before us and grovel, we might give you clues.
Bow down and worship! ab5/14 yourselves!
oh Haz, don't use classical knowledge in clues. It annoys people
it's elitist
Oh, I know, I forgot.
i like the Romans
I think asking to be worshiped is pretty elitist, too!
ab4/8 - one s short of a chasm.
Oooh, didn't have that one. Thanks.
you think, Vic?

Wonderful chat today and I've even been getting words.
Yes, some days it's worth babbling.
yup!
I'm doing much better since I've realized that the words don't have to make any sense.
any other clues I can mess up for anyone?
hi, all
As long as the letters add up.
Hi GG
would someone gude me towards the larger in words?
Yes, so many babblers get indignant and it changes nothing.
Hello, guernseygirl.
in7/36 - in plus what the burglar did to the joint to make his plans for robbery. (past tense of in6/21)
in7/40 - structured the same, but missing an L from a word that encompasses and involves. Or try in plus three letters of what a ruminant chews, give it a plural ending.
da7 - not night + not length
thank you haz
go Haz!
You're welcome.
all those lovely clues for in words, but all based on in6/21, which i have not yet got.
this answer in7 the word, but is missing an L
And now, I really have to go. I'm going out this evening and I need to get ready. (in 6/21 in plus what you put your clothes in on holiday)

Hi everyone, at home on lunch break!
Hi Brookie
Hi ruru, how are you?
nm I found the se 6
I am doing well Brookie..although it is a MONDAY..ugh
Hey, only 4 more days till Friday!
Hi, brookie and rurocks. have either of you got the da6/33 and 7/38?
Sorry, don't have either one but will start looking. And hello :-)
da6/33 and its plural da7/48. da, then a backwards place in Ireland where peat is dug (think marsh land) and finish with a vowel.
thanks for the clue, vioxx, will work on it
thanks, viox. I love the clue, and it worked!
Got that from earlier post by Haz1558.
and yet another word i've never heard before
by
Pinny!
hi hego! bit of a typo there
How are you? Been thinking about you.
not good, i'm afraid :( how're you?
More anxiety?
yeah. doctors have been no help. feel myself withdrawing more everyday. feeling very hopeless
Have you told them that?
i did - they just doubled the dosage of medication they put me on, so now i'm sleeping about 12 hours a day and anxious the rest of the time
Gosh, I'm so soory to hear.
You've been through a lot.
it's ok. when you don't have private medical insurance, they don't want to know
Really terrible.
not sure what to do really
whereabouts in LOndon are you, Pinny?
Is there counseling available to you?
nw london - end of the northern line
Don't mean to barge in Pinny & hego, but I have had panic attacks for years and it took years of different meds to get me 1/2 normal. I can now leave my home and go out - was house bound for years!
the wait list for counseling is about 10 months. i'd go into debt to fund my own, but can't seem to find a good counselor - went to see one woman last week, but she was awful
not a prob peabody - it's good to hear you're doing better now
As Peabody says, you can't give up on yourself. Keep at it.
just withdrew my application for a dream job at the bbc - was meant to have the second interview this week. am so heartbroken
Well, don't let them just dope you up. And remember it takes all meds a couple of weeks to kick in. I'm on zoloft now with no side effects.
There is an answer somewhere.
ok, let me give you the name and phone number of the guy I saw in London. He is utterly wonderful. I'm not sure whether he does NHS practice still, but maybe he could help you find someone if he doesn't. He helped me more than I could say, suffering from the same anxiety, panic attacks etc
http://www.nightingalehospital.co.uk/m edical-professionals/all-consultants/r obin-powell/
that'd be amazing ata!
YAY! Ata!
called robin powell, he practices in marylebone mainly now
seriously.
This chat is amazing - follow that lead!
got it - will get in touch with him for sure. thanks so much
mention my name, he *might* remember me. He saw me for about 2 years a few years ago
that's great Pinny.
i really appreciate it. the guy i wanted to see charges £250 an hour
he's SO helpful. Ask him for help. And just explain your money situation, ask about possibillities of seeing him for one session maybe and then he could give you ideas and maybe names of other people. He likes chatting on the phone too
thank you SO much
he looks utterly public school omg how could someone like that help - bow tie etc - don't let it put you off. He understands. I'd happily bet he's suffered from depression himself
and he has cocker spaniels
LOL ca you tell I think he's utterly wonderful?
i'm getting that impression!
he's very handsome too :P
lol but really, I would trust him with my mental health anyday
an added plus.
Good luck Pinny - bless you ata - there was a reason for us all to be online at the same time. Will keep good thoughts for you Pinny
(and feel free to email me if I can help more - elegaer@gmail.com)
Me too
thanks everyone for your support
Anytime Pinny!
And thanks to you ATA
between all the babblers, we know a usueful person for every situation!
Probably
Pinny, do your fingernails look normal? Have white spots, or ridges?
hello, I'm back
fingernails look normal, although i do keep them painted all the time so it's hard to be certain
Hi Rube
I just read over the chat and the mental health discussion. What a wonderful group! After 9/11 I, too, suffered panic attacks but self-medicated and take 100 mg of Xanax and am fine now. Sleeping through the night but not more, etc. Anybody who hasn't been through it has no idea, Pinny, but this group is terrific.
She needs help Ruby.
panic attacks are terrible. I went through about 4 years of them, and generally so badly that I'd pass out *facepalm*
Certainly and it sounds like Ata gave a great recommendation!
Hi all, so hope Pinny can get help.
hi all...
what is that about fingernails?
hey ata... keep an eye out for your snail mail..
think it's going to be too expensive for me - just checked and it's £134 an hour just for cbt :(
hello, Sally!
hi, rolin
hey pinny...im at the end of the northern line too..
hello all
that's only one place he practices in though - it was just the one I could find a contact for
hi rolin, do you still play scramble
which end, rolin? north or south?
hi peri, how did your tough day go?
I know he practices in a number of places, adn I *think* some are NHS
Hi ruby. Been in London to see my 100% perfect grandson who is 2 tomorrow, and now today I have been to the dentist so am feeling sorry for myself :-(
ok
oh..lol..erm... northern...didnt consider there were two ends..lol
how lovely to have a grandson!!! I never will, unfortunately, can just take pleasure in my friends' having them
if he doesn't, try and see if he knows of anyone who could help - at least a recommendation from him is probably a decent person
it went ok, the dentist I saw was not the one Ihad made the appt with and the vit D I purs=rchase was not in the bag when I got home, but otherwise al is well. other peoples problems are worse than my not having a great day
peri...i havent been...cos ppl were taking days and days to make a move...but im happy to pick it up again..
I usuually play pretty quickly and I think I started a game with yoiu rolin. if not feel free to start one
my typing stinks!!
excellent...i will...
if anybody wants to hear about a "small" day, my high point today was watching a lizard hunt and eat, repeatedly!
and of course I am eating juju fruits, just not chewing on the side where I had a filling put in
Oh, you've been to the dentist, too peri!
and, of course, chatting with Hego!!!!
ooooh ive spent the day eating...im soooooo porky...

I wish I could remember the name of the CBT lady I saw. She was £30 an hour a few years ago. Completely mad, but brilliant. Robin would be able to give you her contact details. She lives in Forest Hill and is a German opera singer called Cornelia? Cordelia?
I'm still sore but have stopped dribbling :-)

Only just started ruby
Ata dear, you did not say hi perrikins :(

they may look normal......

nobody's normal Pinny.
We all have "stuff"
de5/18 what can happen to your teeth
oh yes. I remember a few years ago discovering that my very staid, very upright normal aunt had been on anti-depressants for over 10 years. It suddenly made me realise that we're all the same!
Why you go to the dentist Peri
the worst thing is not to admit you need help and not to talk to people

Still waiting on my attorney to finish the contract to buy the building...
Waiting for our sales tax number...

clue for da6/33 pls
ty weiik for the ce
anytime
I've just realised, the da6/33 is very nearly the planet where Yoda exiled himself in the Star Wars films
gracias movieman
yvw vlcl
can you clue the planet, not that familiar with the film
da+brit slang for mouth+vowel, weiik
thxks
and plural
weiik not seen Star Wars? are you very young?
no, old enough to have seen in theatres, but, did not know the name of the planets used in the movie,
good evening all. Is it a young thing, Vlcl? I haven't seen any of them. No interest!
just thought if weiik was young would not have been around when the movie was first out and might not be familiar with it.
What are your fave films then, nancy boy?
mine is old sci fi, I dined at the location for "the blob", friend of mine owned it for awhile
favourite films! million dollar question...so many and they're all different ;) probably American Beauty, Velvet Goldmine...the Kill Bills will be in there...hm :)
downingtown PA
how about yours, Movieman? I'm guessing from your name you'll have some!
Sin City, Pulp Fiction, Reservoir Dogs etc, Nancy Boy
Also Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz
Oh I -loved- Pulp Fiction! The dialogue just cracks me up. There's some of the same in Kill Bill too. Just ridiculous scripts.
the thing,gray lady down,das boot,memphis belle,band of brothers,crimson tide,all quiet on the western front9with ernest borgnine..so many movies;))
you put me to shame Crossy; I've seen precisely -none- of those films.
Sam Jackson is an absolute LEGEND
nor have I, NB
6 days ,seven nights, flight of the phoenix
The Thing is bloody excellent too
Shaun of the Dead was hilarious but I'm pretty jumpy...not a good film to watch if you're jumpy!
Elm Street, Halloween, The Fly (remake)
what would you say are your favourites, Ata?
the original and the remake of thing are great..remember the petri dish test?
hello everyone :)
trying to think! I don't watch that many films ... I adore The Two Towers from LotR. Watchmen. Actually, Watchmen is probably my favourite. the original Wicker Man.
the cold equasions, charlie(flowers for algernon) rain man, pappilon
howdy cyber nan
and I adored Sherlock Holmes utterly. It'll be a favourite for a while
Hey Cyber :) I loved Lord of the Rings, Ata, all three...probably just the hobbits though. They're adorable.
I quite enjoy comic book films such as Iron Man, X-Men, Batman
i also love lotr:)
Iron Man was good. Dark Knight was *wonderful*
Slumdog Millionaire, The Wrestler
I was a kid when the Thing first came out and when you got your ticket you were handed a squashed down sponge of THE THING and the instructions were to put in water. It blew up into a big thing!
I still love A Knight's Tale even though it's utterly stupid
I thought Slumdog Millionaire was great. OH and of course...probably my favourite film ever, The Shining!
The Wrestler and Sin City are probably Mickey Rourke's two best performances
silence of the lambs, the stand, the abyss..i could go on and on but i wonbt lol
although The Shining terrified me (and still does terrify me!). I couldn't sleep for ages.
have ic 4 from the top i - anyone know what the other one is?
another ic4 cyber
oh -- nm -- another one, duh
anything with Viggo Mortensen, Heath Ledger or Kristen Scott THomas in
ty mm
what is that movie with katherine hepburn and john wayne where they are on a boat of his and she keeps tossing his whiskey supply over the side?
Viggo your dream man, Ata? ;)
I like the first 3 Hellraisers too
the african queen!!~
utterly!
oooh, what's the scariest film everyone's ever seen? For me it was The Ring. I watched it too young and I'm a total pansy anyway. Still get twitchy these days, if I think about it!
A Walk on the Moon, talking of Viggo
The Exorcist. I *totally* freaked myself out watching that!
don't blame you Ata. He is lovely.
when jaws first hit the drive ins in 1977..when that head folated out of that sunken boat..scared the crap out of me lol!
floated
popcorn went everywhere
Elm Street when I first saw it, aged 12
Psycho
you'd love Walk on the Moon, NB. Is Viggo being all flower-powery and gorgeous. Summer of love etc etc
Oooh Ata I'm too scared by the mere THOUGHT of watching that! Leo has it somewhere (he loves horror) but I won't even touch it.
crossy, is that film you';re thinking of called Rooster Cogburn?
lol...that's the Exorcist, not Walk on the Moon. I'm not scared of hippies.
I only managed about 20 mins of it!
no,african queen,i remembered
he showed me the bit where that little girl does that horrible crazy walk down the stairs. That was enough for me!
and - oh oh what are those horror films with the evil doll thing?
and the abyss, that part where she intentionally drowns herself to save them both..amazing!
child's play ata
chuckie
oh yes! that's freaky as hell
i was never one for the gross out movies
crossie, John Wayne WASN'T in The African Queen
mm,bogie?
I love gross out movies. I love the Kill Bills. SO much gore.
Yep, Mr Bogart
but paired with that awesome kind of Tarantino spirit and humour
ahh my mistake
Ever seen Braindead, Nancy Boy?
don't recall it if I have, Movieman
Fight Club! that's a good film.
I do admit to liking the Saw series. Sometimes.
last movie i actually went to a cinema to see would of been philladelphia
It's an early Peter Jackson zombie flick
and Snatch. that's so funny
I'm looking forward to seeing Kick-Ass and Clash of the Titans
Philadelphia is a GREAT film. Moves me to tears every time
I like the Saw franchise Ata, I'll admit it too ;)
sister just bought Saw VI so we can gross out mother next weekend ;)
want tears?? watch lorenzo,s oil
with nick noltie
we have it on tape and ive watched it exactly once..cannot stand to watch it again
oh - another film that really freaked me out the first time I saw it was 13 Ghosts. No idea why, I've watched it again since and not found it scary
I cried after seeing This Is It, cos I realized I would never have the chance to see Michael Jackson in concert again
i will send it to anyone who sends me a stamped envelope though.good movie but hard to watch
at the risk of attracting mass hatred, I just don't like Michael Jackson. Overrated, overrated, overrated.
the only film I ever cried in was the Lion King *blush*
lol, your just a ole softie ata
it's a great film Ata! :D
well I do have a bit of an excuse, my dad died a few weeks before I saw it ... so .... yeah :P
the movie charlie will make you cry..i guarantee it
I have no excuse. When Mufasa dies!"

I saw Avatar! Didn't like it though. It was the plot of pocahontas retold, which really didn't need to happen, and came out of the whole thing with a screaming headache thanks to the stupid 3D
sorry, I'm a killjoy ;)
Since 2002, I have been to the cinema at least 200 times
seen so many movies i really dont know where to begin,i do not do the cinemas anymore though, cause after 2 hours in those seats i cannot stand up anymore
gosh, I could tell you every film I've seen in the last 10 years! *thinks* Black Hawk Down, 1st HP, LotR films x 2 each, Sherlock Holmes, Watchmen, Dark Knight in IMAX. Sweeney Todd. THe latest Terminator. Wall-E. The end!
i want to see wall-e
I like to collect the ticket stubs from every film I see, a bit obssesive I know.....lol
airforce one was good
You must have a mad collection by now, Movieman
The worst film I ever saw at the cinema has to be Catwoman, total crap from beginning to end
Oh yes, Nancy
And I have well over 1500 DVDs
Including all four Toxic Avenger movies
in 7/40, please?
1500?? crossy bows in homage to moviemans collection
take you 6 hours to figure out what to watch for the night lol
And if anyone would like a peek at my collection, just go to: http://cinedude1.dvdaf.com/
of course you could get pics and descriptions of each one off of the net and set yourself up a catalogue on the computer

Cool!
Glad to hear that Scrabs. :-)
I couldn't remember if it was a planet or system.
i think you're right, it's the star system
it's been many and long since i watched it
I met him in a swamp down in DA6, where is bubbles all the time just like Coca-Cola....
Hi everyone. I hope I dont kill chat this time.
But the Plnaet of Endor--ooh, would I like to live there, up in the trees with the ewoks!

Ewoks are OK..but that Jar Jar thing has to go!
Hi Red. Why did you kill the chat? And I bet that you were not at all responsible for that.
JarJar is a goofball.
I did earlier. so I left!
Scrabbler, med question. I got my Non fasting cholesterol levels done and they were 225. SHould I be terribly alarmed, it doesnt seem too high.
Good evening to my fellow babblers! How is everyone?
hey everyone, i think you'll like this game http://www.playedonline.com/game/59650 6/wordjack.html
i found it and another yesterday
By the way, congratulations to all the finishers! YAY!
Goal = < 190-200. What were the HDL + LDL?
Hi Min + Shirlock
Hello Min, Red, shirlock...etc!
Any high cholesterol issues in the fam hx?
the hdl were about 60 which is low and the ldl were like 140 or so.
My Dad has high chol. Last time it was checked the total was 178.
Goal = high HDL + low LDL (< 70).
I mean, scrabbs the last time mine was checked. No idea what dads is.
I can decide if I just need to lose some weight or start taking pills.
Go vegetarian, watch fat + cholesterol intake, recheck values in 6 mo.
hi babblers
Not allowed really to go veg from the nutritionist, but I culd probably eat more chicken, rather than actual red meat.
Hello pippingeek! How are you? Welcome to the puzzle
and fish red!
Read Jonathan Safron Foer latest book--"Eating Animals." This book makes ca4 to go vegan.
Hi pipping!
eat tons of salmon.
hi min. very good mood today - unplanned day off, great lunch, having bottle of wine with the folks
Hi Pip
I have a feeling its the combo of the extra weight and the stress I am under lately.
Red, why aren't you allowed to become a vegetarian?
crossy needs meat!! i do not have 6 stomachs like a cow;((\
Hi Car and pip sounds like you have had good days.
And genetics--cannot change your genes.
I saw bacon displayed at the supermarket a few hrs ago and thought of you, Crossy.
No! Just glad to be here!
Hi Crossy!
Well, I dont particularly want to become one, and often people with eating issues use vegetarianism to mask eating problems. So since I do believe honestly cows were made to be eated, I will continue to get some protien there, but maybe not from cows...specifically.
i can not ruminate leafy greens forever..im sorry
But I could do some less butter....
I love leafy greens
ill eat moose,deer.partridge,snake..the cow is not my sole victim
Hello crosshair! How are you doing? Welcome to grid!
I am seriously pondering going from pesci-ovo-lacto-vegetarian to vegan.
and more chicken...
Scrabbler, good for you.
Silly Crossy the Carnivore!
must go put some more warm clothing on.
scrabbler i think it's all about going in stages - cut out the fish, then see what happens
pesci-ovo-lacto what???
I love seafood but it bothers me to eat animals.
I eat fish-eggs-milk products.
we are not cows or goats, some meat must happen
ahhhh, ty!
i'm just trying to stay awake here. anyone need a clue?
Protein is easy to ingest as a vegan. Most people eat too much protein, esp from meat.
I just found sa 6 x 2...not masoch***.
ty scrab!
wait, i got the sa6/21, there is another one?
The practice and the one who does it.
ah, ty again!

soooo happy that i'm out of here in the next month!
Hi, all!
hey jellen!
hi jell
heard you got into the antique business, are you specializing in anything?
Not specializing in anything, but have recently gotten into vintage jewelry...
we did one years ago, to cut our expenses we rented for 2 years, and do the yellow page ad, people will come to you with their stash,
I am new here today. What are the tile stats below the puzzle?
We'll have a lot of glassware and pottery, some really nice books, old bottles...
look into ethnic artifacts, I was lucky to acquire quite abit be
Yes, we also plan on buying estates...
goldieone, the tile stats tell you how many words begin with that letter
b4 prices went up, american indian african, inuit
Loads of Native Americans here (Oklahoma)
do your research, unless it is cheap, there are alot of fakes out there, pottery was our home run
thank you pippin
also, goldie, if you go to the link below the grid for angelsong's page there is a lot of great info for noobs
Yes, research is a challenge...we've found some Cherokee marked pottery pretty cheap...not old, but pretty sure it's authentic...
thank you again
ebay is a great place to do research, but, not in front of a customer trying to sell something, sometimes they will bury pottery in the ground for a couple of weeks, then bring to you, make sure it does not smell
look at pre-columbian pottery, most people do not know what it is and sell too cheap
Sneaky...will try to read up on it...
glaze is what you are looking for, learn that
I have so much to learn!
we did a co-op, helpped with the rent, alot of people with drop a couple of hundred a month for a 10/10 spot
We've decided to do consignment, but not coop...
er, co-op
how much sq ft are you looking at
2500 or so...
Maybe a little less...my math brain's out to lunch...
we had 4K, 2500 is good .. get lots of display pieces with locks, and look for good insurance, to cover shoplifters, we got some in sacromento
I've been buying locking displays...fortunately, the other antique store in town has not had much of a shoplifting problem...
good, only problem with locking display, you have to leave the store front to open them up, whose watching the rest of the store,
Most of the time, there will be the two of us there...

Ruru, there are people who know I'm on here daily....therefore, I won't be able to talk about it online. Do you have jmc's email address? I have spoken with her about this and it alright for her to tell you. Don't mean to be mysterious....just better this way. Thank you for asking.

Me either, Scrabbs!

It's better than the dream of a few months ago when I was breastfeeding one of my rabbits. I have a vivid, detailed, active dreamlife. I often wake up exhausted from the action.
* closing eyes * TMI! TMI!
It's the Scrabbler Channel! Pini, it was a dream! I didn't really do that!
ROFL!!!
i do too. glad they don't include breastfeeding. mine are usually flying!
Well, dreaming it is pretty scarey in itself!
I think you should purge your dream file, scrabs.
I frequently have flying dreams--flapping arms to gain altitude. So fun!
more fun, less traumatic
Luw are you flying in a plane or flapping your arms?
Sigh, I rarely remember my dreams...
Oh, man, Jellen, you are missing out! I also frequently have lucid dreams--where one is conscious of dreaming so you can direct the dream but feel safe and in control.
I'm with you, jellen
strt jumping and just glide standing up. frequently i have a birdseye view of familair places - etremely vivid and cool

bigot
Sorry; Heck of a way to re-enter the game! <BLUSH!!!>
don't call me names, nef!
i have 9 left and am bumping my head against the wall
Pipping, I didn't mean you or anyone else; I thought I was in the other box again!
hi nef & pippen
i was actually joking, nef, i know you would never say that
Sometimes I just get so excited when I have a word pop out that I just ENTER it and don't see where I'm at!
(I *hoped* and thought I knew you were kidding, pippin!)
Hi jmb!
how are you jmb?
i am about to give up the ghost
i've had a glorious day but the wine has given me a headache
sorry pippin
can't really complain - got to sleep obscenely late, decadent lunch for free, clean sheets to sleep in, get to do a grid, and wasn't even supposed to have a day off!
sounds pretty good but a headache can be a spoiler
gonna drink some water and take some aspirin, i have faith it'll be fine
my favorite line from man of la mancha is "have faith and shuffle the cards" faith, water, & aspirin should work
eat some protein too. Lots of water and some protein might help
think i'm going to hit the sheets and just leave the last 9
probably a good plan if you're that tired, jmb. Sleep well!
good luck nef & pippin
had lovely lobster pasta for late lunch and dinner, so i think that counts as adequate protein
ttfn
YUM! Now I envy you! (But not for the headache)
okay, i got the in7/36, but apparently am too blind for the 7/40. any id4s?
in7/40= a Big Mac in*l**** pickles onion.....

LOL! I'm glad you got it! :-D

And I LOVE your icon! :-) It reminds me of a friend who said her mother always referred to us as her "little internet friends" ;-)
* giggle *
I stole it from my dau! :) I think it's right on point! :)
I think her Mother (who's probably late 70's) thinks we are all imaginary!

I did laundry, some statistics, grocery shopped, problem solved, etc
SSDD ? ;)
I got to play with my GS yesterday. He's *almost* ready to walk! (His daddy never learned to walk; he went from crawling to running)
Yikes!
I'm looking forward to my GS taking his first steps...
his dad was 9 months old when he started running; GS is now almost 11 months old. Kind of a slow learne? ;-)
uh oh!!! LOL
Dang; I just saw the time. I need to get to bed! 5:30 AM comes early tomorrow
