I think we just want to hold onto our precious children as long as we can. We love them no less when they are adults but they no longer 'adore' you and depend on you. Maybe that is why dogs are so precious, they always need you!
i think what I am saying is that the time just passes so quickly while they grow up..... my own boys are 36 and 40 and it seems like just yesterday they were little guys playing Little League baseball

can you even imagine my pride when he showed slides of sculptures by Bernini, and then compared it to work by a "promising young artist...." and then showed slides of MY SON's work!!! To the whole gathering of all the parents! I about FAINTED in my seat
