Are any of you by chance watchers of the television show "Criminal Minds?"
I like that one, douglas (haven't seen it lately tho)
Love Criminal Minds but loved it more with Mandy Patinkin
love Mandy . . .
i second htat Une
one of my very favorite shows
The reason I ask is because there was a scene in one show where someone is doing a crossword puzzle. The person says "The clue is 'Crater creator'" and Garcia, the geek girl, replies "Arctangent" The person is amazed at Garcia's cleverness
saw him in Evita on Broadway back in the '80s, as Che
Garcia must BABBLE!!! LOL
Really Une? How awesome!
late flip; howdy all!
he was terrific :-)
hey, dee
I don't get, not even a little bit, how arctangent can be a 10-letter answer to the clue "Crater creator"
hi dee hi
hi une; hugs jili; hi douglas, mlf...
Most people would never check it so it probably isn't - or it was an inside joke of the writers.
hi dee
Hello Dee
Une did you see the movie version?

the dict. doesnt have the im word! i hate that. then i feel it is not a real word. if the dict doesnt have it then how can it be in grid.
what does the re 9 relate to?
ruru wish you could clue it but is it too early?
badgers ruru
look for a 7 and put re in front and you will get the re 9.
it's not too early for clues
he 9 continues to elude me
oh. nm. the badgers are for he9
the re 9 relates to badgers?
so please assist with he 9
re 9 is re and then what you do with a hose.
although.. i suppose someone could have re9 the he9 if the badgers were pests?!?
re 9 past tense. sorry forgot that
is the he 9 two words in one word? is it an animal?
respray
only one I can think of ends with a pig and that's not there!
oops
no..it's where I hear badgers live.
hi ho hi ho its off to the PB i go
not an animal -- plants around a field in England or around a garden here, maybe
ok.. I know she said it wasn't too early to clue.. but c'mon ru!
prim
thanks ru
a line of bushes is the he9
uh oh. it's the pb phase of the evening!
they live in a den?!!!!
huh? boy am i confused....
oh daykat, you just want to snuggle with ruru in the PB!
and there is no b in grid so why pb?
The he9 - you could get a bustle in it - according to Led Zeppelin
i have that he and it is a 7!!!!!!!! what makes it a 9?
pb = penalty box
Add stuff to it!
did someone say there is an im?
add a word meaning a line
<<<<I have the tastiest ants.
its a compound & common - quit whining
oops sorrrryyyy. Move over ruru
I don't know, dee, but there is an im4/8
i know what pb means but why are you going there? you didnt write a word from grid.
ty -- finally got it
ty jii... looking
got it! ty ty
ruru and daykat did, mkg
a very British word!
never heard of the im before
weird word that im is.
eire
oops
come on in mkg - plenty of room in the pb for you too
but eire isn't accepted
no its not so off you go mkg!
de 7/40 and de 8/55... new ones to me
I have re 7/40 what is count on the other re 7 please
Do you think I should ask for stats on either one of the eastern e's, so that I can get minimal nbt? Or should I just admit defeat in getting minimal nbt, and go on and find some more words?
re 7/32
159 downs -- enough for me :) Good night.
ty anike and hi
ask for stats, doug
With 63 to go I must leave for now - time to take mum shopping - so I will finish later
have a good day!
oriental potentate, douglas
hi arb
2 spellings of the potentate
shalom Dee, everyone
hi ARB
never seen the second spelling before
stick around, daykat -- you may see even more, lol!
jill if only I could remember all the strange words I've come across in the last few weeks!!!
It takes time, daykat -- and most of them are useless. I don't know why we bother!
could it be -- that we are -- umm-- addicted??? I know after only a couple of weeks I am totally hooked
what, addicted???? Us?????
hello all - i think i am terribly clever for getting the "potentate" clue
hi ursh :)
good going ursh!
hello ursh
phant -- orgy
My phantom is reprise.
hey, gang -- gremlin hasn't finished yet?
don't think so jilli..haven't heard from him
wow, grem must not be well
he said he was flying solo -- hope he didn't crash
does he mean listless?
he hasn't posted that he finished...
listless and no chog
and where's ru?
ru is here..
somewhere...LOL
lurking perhaps
ru was last seen in pb, with me
I though my phantom would wake ru up, but...
I thought of ru too when you said that!
If you like the coasts of America and fantastic music, you must rent the dvd "Tim Janis' Coastal America" (narrated by George Clooney). It is absolutely spectacular.
200!
wow, have you seen all the pr words?
thot I was doing well... still have 20 p words to go
there's ru!
<<--- comes up for air...
can something really be wo6?
missing one freakin h.. darn
aha, there he is
which one ru?
wo6 is an unword
I'm missing two
I consider the wo 6 a nonword flosey
wb ruru
missing 2 h's here
I have he 5, 6,8,9,7,4,5,4,5,4 missing?
I'm missing 3 Hs and I don't care just now
got it
h's are done
good for you, ru
jilli doesn't give a oot
there's another he5 after the 7
ty ru ... my h's are done now, too
there you go again
28 s's geez
*giggle*
I'm working on those pr words
not getting any wr words
haven't gone ther yet, flosey
some of the wr's apply to me
I'm jumping all over the grid
wr 5/18 x 2
hmm, looking ru
got one wr
got 2 now, both wr5
me too, probably one that applies to ru
I'm still obsessing with the Criminal Minds bit. une gave me a good link, but that forum didn't help
I know nothing about Criminal Minds
Babble is missing Mandy Patinkin
I read how they are going to try to re-attach that guys arm
what?
some idiot on the east coast blew off his arm with fireworks
yikes!
clean off
Douglas - What was the arctangent clue again? Something creator? I'll ask people smarter than I am about it!
makes my stomach hurt thinking about that... how awful for him and for all the people who witnessed it
crater creator?
yes... bet he'd give his right arm to go back in time
yipes
I just wonder one thing though
oh ruru.
yes?
do you think his favorite piece of art is the Venus di Milo?
sick!
That's it - thanks jilli
no...but he has a career as a wall paperer.
<<---- can't help it .. it was the stupidest thing I have eever heard
no idea what it's about, though, cbr
his fantasies were quite 'armless
oh! I'm well over halfway!
OH groan
cbr - The clue was "Crator creator" and the answer was "arctangent" The mystery to me is why
wristless in seattle
<<---- will shut up now
ru, do you know what dog goggles are called?
no.. what?
"Doggles"...
awww....
(groan)
not even joking... petsmart sells them...
every "fashion conscious" dog needs them (according to their ads)
someone came up to me on the weekend with the ugliest dog I have seen in a while
what kind
I just googled "arctangent crater creator" and there's a whole lot of puzzlement going on about it...
they called it a Puggle.. a beagle/pug cross
can't begin to imagine what that looked like
I like pugs a lot.. they are cute.. but this thing was hideous
wonder how healthy it is
those purposely mixed breeds are horrendous
I'm feeling a little better about my bewilderment...Tyler Hinman didn't get it either
they were offended when I told them it wasn't a breed, but that it was a mutt
I agree about the mutt classification
this is the best answer I found at a forum: No - Idon't think you're the only person not to get that answer. In a crater, the slope of the side of the crater is simply the arc-tangent of the height difference divided by the horizontal distance. Not sure if that's what the writers were going for - but seeing as Reid has degrees in that area - maybe the writers looked for something obscure. It looked like Reid was about to answer when Penelope did and surprised him.
*claps hands over her "springboards" ears*
I've seen that answer, m9, but I still don't like it very much

night pug!
everyone's does, m9
so you measure across and down the crater to see which distance is greater which sooner or later will lead to a satyr?
I'm wondering if it has to do with computer modeling for animation...?
the arctangent..not the chog hiccups
I wonder if the arch tangent has anything to do with McDonald's?
... just a theory...
<---- will shut up again
dear silly ruru
taking a short break...
I believe the arctangent has to do with the Busk method of drawing craters (fold cross section) in geology.
...just a theory...
Can you give a link to your theory, m9?
http://tinyurl.com/26mtzar although that is VERY obscure. I think the simple solution is usually correct, and concur with the earlier theory. The arctangent describes a "dip" as opposed to a "bump". just the kind of thing a trig student would use to remember the diff.

be back in the morning

*poofing with hugs* !!!
YAY dee and g'night!
g'night flosey too (I know I'm too late but I jsut got back from a bedtime snack)
I have a nice balance -- 197/97. Not as clever as the others, but ok.
Oh...if they meant "arc tangent" as in "an arc tangent to two lines" as opposed to "the trigonometric function" that would make a little more sense
enjoy your math, you two -- I'm off!
just came bacl for a sec. goodnight jilli
and I just posted my icon clue :)
goodnight again, flosey!
and *poof*
pfft - phantom empires and eskimoes
I've posted my icon clue now
but I'm off to bed! *poof*
good morning all you smart and technical folks!

we all do :D
oh my I can't believe it. Found 51 words before I spotted the K. Denial isn't only found in Egypt.
I have 113 left
I have 231 left + 8 K words.
I have 294 left
morning all
hiya Kallia!
lol obviously i have been at it for a lot longer
no 'at it' in the biblical sense but 'at it' in the babblical sense
I am sad today, I had to take my kitty to the vet yesterday evening
just started and was going strong, but now am trying to get that darn K grey. Halfway with it.
Oh Kallia... am so very sorry. *hugs*
biblical sense may be as much fun!
very nice pun, sandy, btw
thanks Sprite, we couldn't leave her any longer
kallia, that is not good
no, in your heart you will know you did right by her, but darn it hurts, doesn't it :(
oh yes it hurts...OH was crying, which somehow made it worse
{{{{{{{{{Kallia and OH}}}}}}}}}}}}
My husband said he hates pets because it is like losing a member of the family and everyone is so upset for ages
I know just how you feel Kallia
thanks sandy
that is like saying I won't love anyone or anything anymore because I don't want to get hurt.
81/2 years of love and fun....she had a good life here
he hates seeing us upset
life isn't about avoiding hurt, it is about loving and letting go and loving all over again.
getting hurt is just part of life, you can't protect yourself from it
K greyed.
it's a bummer !!
I am hoping to live forever, personally
well done Sprite
Kallia, whenever you feel like talking about her, please do so. It is tough having to miss a pet you shared so much time with.
one more k here
thanks Sprite just a bit numb today
its so odd, even though she was so ill she was still so pleased to see us
we are burying her this evening
yeah, for me it always takes some time before I really start feeling hurt. At first it is just empty and numb.
I think it is good you can bury her yourself. Tough to do, but good for... well you know, for how it will feel.
yes I know, because she couldn't clean herself Alex washed and groomed her when we brought her home, that made him feel better, he said he couldn't let her go looking like she did, she was always an immaculate kitty
sorry if I go on too much
aw that is so sweet. No, you don't go on too much, talk about her as much as you like. It is wonderful she is perfectly clean again.
good morning all how many words today please
hi sandra, 294

Ach, time zones! Good afternoon and evening to those of you at that time of day. :)

I'm doing splendid, just trying to work babble back into my schedule
hi Annie :)
((Annie!!))
Hi Uni, so glad to see you
Hi nono and kallia
How are you doing? Been well, I hope!
now that is what I call good news, Uniquity
I am well, thanks
kallia, so sorry about your kitty, I know what you are feeling
It's easy to look on the bright side of life in a Nova Scotian summer :)
ty Annie
I love your icon, btw, Uni
Thanks, Sprite. It's a little outdated, but I love the blue of the sky.
yes it is a very beautiful picture
How have things been in your neck of the woods Sprite? Puppy growing up?
puppy is pretty much grown now, still a bit adolescent in behaviour. He is the most adorable dog in the whole world to us. Family is well too. I have missed you!
HI
hey lady :)
HOw you all
HOLLY Heck on a stake. I just saw how many P words there are
hi Herin
Allo Herin
I'm glad everyone is well, Sprite.
Hello. Uni how is uni going?
hi herin
Uni(versity) is over. Graduated in May. I now work at a law firm, preparing them for a major move/re-brand. Very fun. For you?
HI ANnie. Hi NOno.
WOW> Well done. what you doing there?
(I mean are you a lawyer? or something else)
Congratulations, Uni!!!
I'm a mix of PR, marketing, executive assistant and grunt. There is no honest work I don't mind doing and I work for a great firm. I am not a lawyer...never really considered it.
Ok so what does yiou degree give you? (sorry confused)
sounds like a great job Uni
I have a bachelor of arts! :) I love proving it not useless.
Bachelor of arts here means a lot what speciality? and how is your kitty?
North America doesn't take Arts seriously at all. It's the degree that entitles you to serve fries. My major is in English...which is about the 'worst' thing you can do, or so the theory goes. I loved it. Kitty is well. Hot around here so she mopes around a lot.
And yours?
Kitties are insane. Pandora is going deaf.
Uni , would you consider teaching or perhaps law school?
Today One of my cats burped or farted thus freaking out the other cat on the other cat pillow. Both are trying to work out what the hell that sound was and looking very snarky at each other.
Annie, I have thought of teaching for years. I might have a B.Ed in me yet :) Just need to grab a science and math credit and I am eligible. I don't want to rush myself thoguh.
Uni, Whatever you decide will be the right way to go and good luck on your path
I myself am going to try and get into a bach of arts / law or bach of criminology
Thanks, Annie. Whatever I'll be, I'll be. Then i might be something else/more! :)
A friend of mine is doing his crim. degree right now and hopes to become an RCMP officer in future.
If that fails I will do off campus crim then swap into law
Alright, I've got to scoot. Time for work. Take care, everyone!
Enjoy
have a great day Uni
bye uni, come back soon
You too Nono! *hugs*

I like thunderstorms except when I am sleeping. A loud crack of thunder + lightning made me jump out of bed during the night, as it sounded as though it was next to the house. I thought a tree was hit but it wasn't.
hello everybody
sandy, are you still there?
hello
morning. Jac, sorry to hear about your ankle. I can empathize (was on crutches for what seemed forever)
hello george, hello scrabbler
hi dorens
Oh, hi Dorens. Was on 'phone. Just waiting for my daughter to come and take me back to the hospital. I don't know why they didn't give me crutches yesterday, since she had to take me in there in a wheelchair.
Hi George and Scrabbs.
sheer
sorry to hear about your ankle, jacula, it must be babbling!
oops! PB for me.
Ruby - it must be! LOL
I had that sh, how about an 8 or 9? lol
they gave me crutches at the hospital. one piece of advice.... look on line there are several good articles on how to use crutches, what to do, exercises (when the time is right), etc
Dorens - Thanks. I will check.
I just got the worst haircut, ever! I'm never leaving the house again!
Ruby - oh dear! *Hands her a large paper bag with eyeholes cut out of it.*
please!
or a big hat
two weeks ruby == any bad haircut looks better after two weeks
Dorens - more like 6 weeks.
it's very depressing
at least you have hair, ruby!
and hair grows
hahah george!
there are lots of cute summer hats
I need a clue for the last 2 re's---re7/40 and re 9/78
hi annie.... sorry, not there yet
hi dorens, the re's are doing to be my undoing
Annie to mist something with water again and pt
re7/40 = to use a hose on something again
oh, thanks nono
yw
well, it is not rewater...
thank you thank you
pt for the 9
of course, I had the word w/o the re
yes, thanks Jeff
fireworks
woohooo congrats Annie!
I am going thru my insomnia period so I have been at this for hours
Annie - the chicken pie recipe you wanted is in my profile.
anyone like a clue before I leave?
Congrats on finishing, too.
Oh thank you Jacula, will copy it
no thanks Annie
Good morning/afternoon all.
belated yay annie! and hi haz
Hello Haz.
Hello! Congratulations to Annie, commiserations to Jacula.
Thanks Haz.
Jacula, I will make the chicken potpie as soon as the weather becomes bearable
Hi Hazel
Annie - hope you like it.
Hello, Annie - is the weather too hot for sleep?
Haz, if I wake during the night then I am done with sleep...go through periods like this occassionally
Douglas, if you are around, I have your arctangent answer!
oh this is exciting... one of my very favorite words is the he8/9. I had read that word so many times in English books that when I first went to England, and was driving straight to Salisbury, and first saw them I got all excited when I saw them and nearly drove off the road (those and thatched roofs)
Annie - I fully sympathise. Know how it feels.
Hopefully you'll get back into your normal pattern soon, Annie.
Jacula, I am sure I will like the chicken pie and the pea pod soup as soon as the weather cools down. I hope your ankle heals quickly.
that was happening to me too Annie... i have a fan next to my bed that i don't need when i first go to sleep, but i turn on when i awaken in the middle of the night
p
dorens, I might try that tonight if I cant fall back to sleep.
hint on that he 8/9 please
the trick is to have it already by your bedside in the right position... then just turn it on before you're fully awake
will do, dorens
what you see when you're driving down the roads in england, jeff (along each side of the road)
he8 and he9 - extend the green garden barrier.
Jeff - living barrier/fence planted in a line.
Over here, lots of our fields are separated by he9. Lots of clipping and trimming!
and they are so iconically british... just don't see them quite like that here in the states
Morning folks
Hello Mr Bob
Hello, Mr Bob.
morning mr. bob
hello mr. bob
Haz, Your new list of your shortest books gave me a good laught.
*laugh
The celebrity ones?
morning all, help with 8's and 9'spls
Hello, peri, you're in the grid again. I'm sulking, I'm almost never there.
Hi pe4.
Haz, dorens and jacula just gave good clues at 9:00
respeed
that is the highlight of my day :)
Haz, Yes. Very funny
Not a word. Oh dear, these painkillers (which aren't working) are wrecking my concentration.
In fact they are all very funny.
jac if you don't move it at all it still is hurting? are you icing it?
ty for the he8 and he9
ty for the he8 and he9
Glad you enjoyed them, Annie.
Dorens - yes and yes.
re9 is the other 9. Think of what happens when a car needs a new coat of paint.
oh yes, they are great haz.. .babblers are so very talented
It was x-ra5/16 yesterday.
I'll have to come up with some new babbler ones. I have to be careful not to let my sarcasm get the better of me.
ty Haz for re9
ty for the he 8/9....thank god for "Stairway to Heaven" lol
Jeff - yes, the he9 do bustle.
You're welcome, peri.
Great haven for wildlife and wild fruits etc., Jeff.
oh poor jac. i was lucky... it was a bad sprain, bad enough that it broke a bone, but when i didn't move it enough i was pretty much okay. at the beginning
bye dear babblers
'Bye Annie.
Bye Annie, see you again.
bye annie, stay cool (and dry)
Back in a while - have to crawl upstairs for something.
Gulp - you mean that literally, don't you?

She's joined the Babble Ankle Injury Leage.
League
:(
:)) a pair of very delightful long h words i see;))
They are indeed.
What? Smores is not a word? What kind of dictionary is this?
and a pair of babies born too sonn;)
soon
lol seaspray
We will be able to makle smores on the sidwalk tomorrow as the temp is supposed to be 103
i find that if you can knock the first 100 off without pause then you stand a chance of finishing, but if you hit your first wall before 100 you rarely finish a grid over 200
103...good lord
I would be happy to hit 100 anytime....lol
lol gamer
sheer
oops!@!!!!!!
you do the best clues gamer;))
need to watch where cursor is....
Can't some err with one of the 112 I still don't have? :)

Hello, Kallia.
hello kallia
hello
It's understandable - I'm sorry about your cat.
Haz I had to take my kitty to the vet yesterday :)
ah you read the log
thank you
Yes, I tend to read back in the log before I join in, usually to give me an idea of what's been going on. My sympathy.
what is wrong with your cat, Kallia?
I did not read back in the log, too lazy
she had soft tissue cancer of the tongue peri
oh, so sorry to hear that, Kallia
had?
so sorry to hear that kallia
i am very sorry kallia,we also lost out 16 year old cat this spring to colon cancer
it was so aggressive...from diagnosis to the end
she was a baby....81/2
so very sorry for your loss, Kallia
thank you all
I know, it can be quite a shock, not much time to come to terms with the diagnosis.
it's heartbreaking, i lost both my dogs to cancer, i am really sorry kallia
no time at all really...did you see what DH did last night Haz?
hard to lose a beloved pet....sorry for your loss.....lost our choc lab to cancer in a weekend.
crying his eyes out he was, but so pleased that he did it
Yes. That was nice of him, it's a comfort for him to see your cat as she would want to be.
we will bury her tonight
we live in an apt,so we had ours cremated and placed in a lovely memorial box
got to run...bbl
bbs
she will join our other pets, a cat and a dog, both lived to 19
My husband once had the job of putting his old headmaster's dog to sleep. This was a very tough old man, extremely strict etc, but husband was amazed to see the tears welling in his eyes. The man had a heart!
I think we all have a heart , takes us all in different ways
when i have a choice of 2 people to hire and they are identical in every other respect,i will always hire the person who has pets;0
19 is amazing kailia
You're absolutely right, Kallia, and animals have a way of worming their way in.
a jack russell and a moggy
don't they just!
Happy Friday, Babble buds!
howdy judi;))
Hello, Judi!
hello Judi
working Judi?
<---- likes to abbreviate his sentences haz
Brevity is admirable when accompanied by clarity.
And I knew exactly what you meant.

thanks jbv, looking back, some said they were leaving
can anyone please clue me for se7
sorry rhoda, don't have it yet
just got it, it's a compound word,
thanks anyway flossey
se7 - not quite good enough to earn all your money, verging on still being amateur.
great clue Haz
Thanks, flosey, hope it helps Rhonda as well.
Oh my gosh!! I had that one ..its se6 I need
se 6/18 - number sequence, or tv episodes
se6 - one after another
just working on those se words

You're welcome, flosey.
Babble time.. hi all , Happy Friday
Thanks JBV
brb, have to look for a ld phone #
walkies good?
<---------approval
Hello, Aloy!
*throws in towel... has to head for list*
Hi Haz (-: I always approve of Spangle, why do you have an arrow pointed to her?
Good decision, well made.
crossy yearns for a time when walkies are fun and not a daily 15k grind over asphalt do deal with customers who bitch endlessly about gas prices as if you personally control the source lol
ooh, should have read back in the chat, I see now
ruru and I were seeing who could be briefer in posts. Earlier I had said 'walkies' and then approval to say that she had enjoyed herself.
bfr in psts?
You mean you don't have your own personal oil well and refinery, crossy?
<--- going to abreviate to grunts next
i cn b brf in psts
lol haz
ruru is going to revert to his teenage persona.
Ruru, hope the towel hit the hamper..... grumble, grumble, picks up Ruru's towel 'cause he missed. **Sigh**
helllo everyone
Angst and acne and no communication.
lol,i have that sprawled on the couch as we speak:(
not me haz.. I was a very talkative teenager if you could imagine
Hello, Mom!
Hi Haz
i got 2 grunts and a groan so far and he has been up 2 hours
and Crossy and Ruru
hi there, Mom
Goodness, a talkative teenage boy? I didn't think it was possible.
howdy mom:)
Hi Aloy
it is the extra grunt that made my day
mine were talkative... still are
the only time he really speaks is when he wants money
I've never been talkative, it came as a surprise to have daughters (one in particular) who can talk endlessly.
<---- gave up a promising career in comedy
this is shit. :|
ah, the joys of summer
or swears
Well, what a nice introduction, S'rahh.
that's a no no s'rahh
what's a "no no" exactly?
*troll*
Faster than the speed of light, Judi sniffs them out.
we have many younger player srahh,so geep it g rated if you can
we try to not use abusive language here...
I'm 15 :/
yep..
then we shall instruct
ah well, sorry. but i have no idea how to play this silly little game.
*wait for it....*
there is a help button at the top of the page that lays it all out for you
Then, sit back and be instructed. But only if you want to play. If you think it's a waste of time, say now and find something more entertaining.
158 down and still not one 8 or 9 letter word found :(
well there are some 4 letter ones being bantered about
a row of green bushes often used to make living mazes
Our friend has found better things to do. And not even a goodbye...
ty crossy, I didn't have that!
anyone have clue for sw6..36 or 39
re9 - when ruru's tan faded he went to the car shop and got himself re9.
mom, the city may sp*** for mosquitoes, then they'll come back and re***** -- last year they re******* several times
have those Crossy, must be missing some, will look
sw6 - move past tense and the one who does.
in spite of that, we've got some West Nile . . .
that should give you the 5,6,8 and 9 mom
I was not sw6/39 by ruru's protests that his tan is natural.
swing and sw4 with Sammy Kay
the palm trees sw**** in the soft breeze
thanks Une and hello
aloy LOL
yw and hi :-)
and thanks Haz
hi Une!
hey, aloy :-)
No problem.
first 100 or so are easy..now for the grind:((
you can do it, crossy!
hey une.. i'm going into the city today to meet my favorite cousins for dinner, am planning to leave early to see please give beforehand, mostly cause you said i have to see it and it isn't playing round here at all
yesterday evening I looked out the window to see a coyote cross the yard.. hope it was hunting groundhogs and not local kitties
thanks Crossy
sounds like a great day, dorens!!
Back in five...
haven't seen our local coyotes in a while . . .
np mom:))
except for the rain, perhaps.. oh well, that's what umbrellas are for... and hi crossy, mom and aloy
time for lunch, thanks for all the help. {{Hugs}} to all of you
bon appetit, mom!!
(looks around to see if Scrabbler is here) - there are lots of bunnies this year
oh, dorens, please send some here
thanks Une
it's dry as a bone and the high today is 98
bye for now, Mom
whew, Une..
bye bye Aloy
beautiful sunny day here and 70f
aloy, we've had more bunies this year too -- I've named the two regulars Ethel and Gertrude
*bunnies
bunnies!!!
crossy loves bunnies....
meee toooo!!
lol, Une.. how can you tell them apart?
they're kinda interchangeable, aloy :-)
we haven't had much here either, so I should be grateful... just prefer walking around the city on non rain days
I've left a big brush pile in the back corner of my yard and it's bunny heaven!
they really enjoy our plot of tall grasses
my yard seems to be bunny heaven too.. but worse are my groundhogs... i detest them
Trade ya for some skunks, Dorens.
Dorens, we have an overpopulation of them.. and they can be destructive, but .. I admit to thinking they are "cute"
d
sooo destructive, though. things i work hard and plant... and they just mow them down. and liquid fence seems to work for the deer, but not the groundhogs
one year they destroyed our green beans .. and when one reared on its hind feet and growled at my husband, he turned into Elmer Fudd.. blam, blam
i see skunks on my patio at night sometimes, but they haven't destroyed anything (that i know of)
they really believe that they belong here. I used to trap them in hav-a-heart traps and transport them far away... but they just get replaced with others.
Fortunately, no skunks this year. We have dogs, cats and foxes to keep the varmint population to a minimum.
in Fla. we have a prob. with armadillos digging up everything, looking for grubs.. I was informed that if I want to trap them, on my own property, I need a license to trap and transport wildlife.. ugh
Judi, that is the problem.. the balance is upset.. no cats or dogs.. and so ..
see, and i think armadillos are cute
cute? h'mmm.. I don't see them as they are nocturnal, but I sure see the evidence of their hunt for food
each area has their own pests it seems,we are getting black bears in town again..try trapping those lol!
... and they make huge burrows at the base of cabbage palms
wow crossy..
no thanks crossy, when i see them in my yard i go inside and get the camera. and stay inside!
Have you tried sprinkling a bunch of garlic powder around the plants, Aloy?
oh, Judi, is that something that rabbits don't like?
mm,pre seasoned rabbits;))))
not yet, Judi.. I did do some research on the net tho.. seems that human urine is a repellent..
I don't think most wild animals like garlic. Vicks Vap-o-rub is supposed to deter them as well.
our Island has become home to far too many rabbits - they're destroying many gardens
Hi all ...just a quick look before running out with mom
hi Barb's.. a biggee today
when we lived up north more,we used to plant a seprate garden just for the wildlife, fill a big grid with lots of leafy romaine far from our gargen
(hi all) We had a mole problem earlier, and we planted garlic near their burrows. The first mole literally tossed the garlic plant two feet away from the hole! But after a few days they left our yard.
Get a few cats, Aloy.
aha, I do have a jar of vicks - will try that - perhaps soak a cloth in it
hi Barb
wow, cool tip re planting garlic!
Judi, I miss having pets so much, but need to "rent a cat" until we are settled in one place.. don't want to leave them or transport them long distances, too cruel methinks
Or just smoosh some on some fallen leaves, Flosey, and leave them near the plants.
good news, ch1212 ! we have moles too..
Moles are attracted to grubs. If you get rid of your grubs, you'll get rid of the moles.
good idea Judi, will try it - we have several gardens, (hubby retired and became a farmer) vegetables and fruit only
I can't get the second PR 8 -- I am sure it's something simple -- help??
the prefix for "before" + name of the tippy tap code
dot dit dot dot dit dit... over long distances
good clue aloyisius...thanks
Yes, I think it means to feel bad about something you did BEFORE you feel bad about something you did ;)
bye all
Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!!
sounds like a logical def. to me
yw, Erda.. glad you got it. ........... and bye to Barb's, hagd
great clue aloy ty;))
thanks aloy for pr8 - also re7

he9?
wildcat, it's my icon today
I'm all around it ... have the related ones
he8 and 9 is plural

it's a compound word

oh my goodness. those ya's were crazy
hantjambo! (my swahili is getting more sophisticated)
Jambo, jmc. How's the African experience going?
stuck on sp6, 7, 8, 7 _ am hoping they're related!
They are, flosey, build on the church feature.
thanks, will work on that
oh i thought she was talking about repelling bugs
You're welcome, new words for me.
i'll have to work on those too
it has been strange -- sometimes very primitive other times very elegant
I know, quite a mixture of styles. But you're enjoying yourself for the most part? And I love the giraffe!
ty I was proud of myself -- felt like ata couldn't have done better!
I am having a great time except for the food -- not the place for a low carb diet!
anybody have a clue please for se5 ..16? I have the se5 16 that is a marsh plant!
You're right to be smug, it's a great photo. They are such beautiful creatures.
I have another of a cheetah that I will post tomorrow
Make the marsh plant have a sometimes vowel ending.
You've been on safari, I take it?
se 5/16:very tired without the stick letter Rhondabe
rhymes with the bushes rhonda
yes saw the "Big Five" (she says like she knows what she is talking about) all in one day
Or, se5/16 - rhymes with the state you're in when you watch a sad film (ends in sometimes vowel)
That's some going, jmc. We never managed to see a leopard.
it was really really hard to see
we knew it was there (we could see the bush mover) but couldn't see it until it turned its head
thanks Haz, those sp words sure are strange
They're masters of disguise....
You're welcome, flosey.
Thank you., Thank you
You're welcome, Rhonda.
Which game reserve did you go to, jmc?
boy how soon we forget *waits for words to turn their heads*
Massai Mara
Are the wildebeest there already or is it too soon?
we go there right in the middle of the migration
hello everybody
hi, jmc!!!!! nice to see you
hi ruby!
Hello, ruby.
morning ruby
I am settled down with internet connection until I head for home
Yes, we were there in August a few years ago. It's impossible to take in the numbers and I was amazed by the hordes of zebra as well.
bbs, have to go out and find hubby
Bye, flosey.
we spent a half hour just looking at zebra stripes
he no longer hears me when I call - doesn't even hear the bell
bye flosey
And no two the same, or so they say.
*hands flosey some binocs to search for hubby*
that is exactly why we spent so much time looking at them
we used flashing lights when my husband went deaf flosey
that sounds wonderful, jmc! when I went to SA on biz trips, as I was a minor player, they took me to very shabby game preserves and I never saw much. Never once saw an elephant!
I think Kenya and Tanzania are the better countries for such things
too bad ruby
I'm sure they are, but my biz was all in SA
and there's no wildlife here
lucky for me then that the quakers did their missionary work in Kenya!
yes indeed!
PHone...
hello all
just here for a sec... Gage waking up
BTW, I saw a lot of zebra and could look at them forever!
hi m9
i lover looking at zebra too!
hi, babble friends - nice to hear from you jmc!
hi jbv
ruby, I was thinking of you recently - how close are you from the Italian border?
less than an hour, via the Mt. Blanc tunnel
are you coming to Italy?
I've been exchanging emails/photos with a cousin of mine who lives near Torino and I've been looking at maps and dreaming of being over there
nothing planned right now, ruby
when my son was here in May, we drove him and his wife to Chambery from which they took a train to Torino, less than 3 hrs!!!
we used to go to Aosta for lunch when we had visitors, 1 hr. 40 mins. , but I don't feel like it any more
Have you been to Italy before, JBV?
Haz, i can barely contain myself with this story - some details in my profile - but I am reconnecting with family I haven't seen in 36 years!
When I was a young teacher (in the 70's) I used to spend two months every summer in Europe - mostly Spain, but two trips to ITaly, and some time in Paris
*pulls up stool and pours coffee to listen to jbv*
please check my profile for background
but the up-to-the-minute scoop is that the emails and photos are flying back and forth and we are catching up on children, granchildren, etc. - amazing!
that is wonderful, jbv!
we even Skyped!
very cool!
It sounds to me like you have very valid reasons for travel - education, family, pleasure.
it is so easy to lose our roots and so much fun to find them again!
If it were up to me, I'd be on a plane tomorrow, but planning long-distance travel with my husband will require some thinking .. because of his medical needs
Oh, of course - he must take priority.
and I don't think they have the means to contemplate a trip to the U.S., so it's email for now, but we're both enjoying it
I hope you are making a family tree, including all the detail you can
that is one of the good things about the internet is the ability to connect regardless of distance
Maybe some day your dreams will become reality.
I can't believe you said that, ruby, that's exactly what we're working on right now!
great minds. . . .
a relative of my nephew's wife in London traced her whole family to eastern Europe and, last spring, made a trip and tracked down every single one of her relatives, living and dead (photographed all their graves)
And she's in her 70's!!!!
and I think the timing was so perfect - the first phone call came on my very last day of work before retirement -
she lives in California and used the Mormon archives for help
good timing!
Family research can be fun but incredibly time-consuming.
So I have plenty of time to spend on this correspondence because of course, it's all in Italian (a challenge for my little grey cells!)
my sister started to work out our family tree and all that, but lost interest half-way through the project! It takes a lot of fortitude!
lol twilight is just like soccer; they run around for 2 hours, nobody scores and billions of fans say "you just do not understand" :))
I've heard of the Mormon family archives
that's awesome JBV. I work in the LDS family history center in our town.
hello crossy -- huh???
i poke at it from time to time
do you really, M9
there's no such thing as "half-way through the project" when it comes to family history!LOL
crossy!
yes.
you don't know my sister!!!!
fascinating, m9 - would the LDS archives have immigration records to Ellis Island around 1905?
crossy...I LOVE it!!!
Ellis island archives are on ancestry. a lot of them
www.ellisisland.org/
not everyone went through ellis also. I have a copy of the passenger list of my grandfather coing to america in 1903
oh, thanks, I may try that, if necessary. At the moment, I'm only interested in going back as far as my father's father - and we have some living relatives who can help
thaks jmc
yw
my mother came in 1910 through Baltimore and my son found the manifest online
she was an infant
a lot of people came through Galveston TX
I didn't know that
my grandfather
oops.
Where was she coming from, ruby?
I didn't know it was a port for other than South American destinations
she came from near Kiev
tons of germans and czechs came through Galveston
Not so easy to trace her further back.
my grandfather's manifest said that he was going to stay with a friend Albert Stickman. then in later censuses Albert is living nearby and is also the witness at Grandfather's wedding. It's neat to see these little glimpses.
father was born in Schenectady but my grandmother (his mother) was an actress in the Yiddish theater in Scranton before she got married
that is SO cool ruby!
i get stuck on my grandmother (father's side)'s father.
help with the right column e please
she came in 1903 and was sent back once, finally came back, was an actress and married my (handsome) neer-do-well grandfather
he was from french canada.
don't have any, jmc
jmc - eastern potentate(s), variation in spelling
my father in laws family is mormon and therefore has everything traced and my mother in law was boston brahman so ditto
ty, haz, too easy to see duh!
very fancy, jmc!!!
You're welcome, ruby.
jmc has it easy!!
i always thought she looked like kathern hepburn in bringing up baby to the poor western cowhand he was
not like us children of immigrants.....
help with em6e second??/21. th
My family's from the eastern end of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, and info is spotty. My German husband has every ancestor written down precisely
my family is more obscure!
hello bichon
did I say ty haz? sorry!
hi bichon
repr y
em6/21 - em plus a liberal helping of the snake letter.
dad's dad came from As which was Bohemia and now is Czech
Hi Ruby. foo
Or to the preceding em4/5, keep repeating last two letters.
what I was lucky about is that my beautiful grandmother, before she died, gave me all of her old photographs from Russia and told me who each one was and I wrote all the info on the backs. I was the only one of her many many grandchildren she was close to
ty!
You're welcome.
how wonderful ruby! I started doing that with my aunt and later my mother but still found photos with no id!
My major geneology problems is that Jews didn't always register births
really bichon? not even at a temple?
help with the e on the bottom?
there aren't any temples left in Bukovena. I don't think written records were big among Eastern European Jewery.
that's interesting, bichon. I didn't know that. But somehow, the Mormons find records of so many Jews who perished in the war. I've always wondered how....
es4 - I es4 with my little eye...
My grandfather was considered a bastard by the gentile folk because his parents didn't have a civil ceremony
ep4 and ep5, as used in fencing.
ty haz I would ask for a fish but I am out of practice
every now and then, we would find a photo of a baby and my grandmother would say "They all look alike, except for your father who was so beautiful, that the midwife kissed him!"
I don't know ruby. I do have information which was given to me by older folk in the family that was handed down orally. But, it's hazy.
You can have a pi4/9, jmc.
the germans kept good records ruby
oy!
ty haz *curtsies*
I don't think I'd curtsey if someone gave me a pi4 - ugly creatures.
*sharpens the point* ;-)
my family records are fillled with cut throats, thieves, and gentlemen of ill-repute going back to the 980,s in france area lol..not sure if i wish to add my name to that mess lol
We have a whole book of family records dating back to the Stone Age for my German hubby. Interesting, the predominant name in my family is Katz, and in hubby's, Dauch. We jokes that we are the meeting of the Cats and the Dogs
all the family that didn't leave the Ukraine, died in the war including all my maternal grandmothers sister who were doctors
lol bichon
too funny bichon!
so sad ruby
looking at jewish cemeteries in eastern europe are creepy because of the huge gap in years between deaths
but we had a huge family in the US anyway, many aunts and uncles and tons of cousins
few or none from the mid-30s until the 50s
what's really unusual: my adopted daughter [German/Irish] married a man whose family is from Ukrain [mnot that far from where my family lived]
nbt
that is eerie, Bichon, but very nice too
Hello Everyone
but, a problem, they are Anti-Semitic
((JMC)) long time
And off to the PB goes rubyfoo.
hi river!
Hello, River.
yay, river!
yay, river!
whoops, sorry
Hi Ruby, bichon, Haz and whoever else is here
*chokes in indecision as to whether to laugh or cry at bichons last remark*
I think that in the Ukraine, the locals were more than happy to cooperate with the Nazis.
I think that in the Ukraine, the locals were more than happy to cooperate with the Nazis.
Have you read "Everything Is Illuminated"?
no but heard of it
It is a problem, they have made remarks to Becky about me being "a cheap Jew]. Not very happy about that, especially since we financially helped the kids out with their mortgage when s.i.l. was out of work
I think you would love it, Bichon.
that is horrible, bichon.
*opts for crying*
his wife's book, "The History of Love" (Nicole Krauss) is worth reading also.
What does Becky do (or say)? Can she "train" them?
I will Google it ruby
I think you will love those books!
Becky does her best, but there are so many issues. My g'daughter is baby sat by them [they are next door neighbors].
how complicated!

Bye Dorens.
I think there is only pics of it headed for the boat
bye dorens
gotta love the Masai
bye dorens
perhaps it was trying to mate
ewwww
The strangest thing is seeing the warriors talking on their mobile phones.
it is a little unnerving when you want to go pee at 3 am to find them in front of your tent with a spear
You should have got a tent with the bathroom included.
The hippos were pretty intimidating too. We had them slogging around our tents in the middle of the night
ok..gonna *poof* for a bit...
It was the only way I was going to sleep anywhere in a tent.
at a (run-down) game reserve in SA, when I got up at dawn to run, the ranger accompanied me with a rifle as he thought I was the right size for a lion's breakfast!
i gotta go too -- only got 3 hours sleep last night
Nice to see you, jmc.
sweet dreams of the big five, jmc!!! and those Masai
good plan haz I will take notes for next time
bye jmc - good to see you

others could take lessons from him....
Theres a saying here 'If it doesn't kill you, it'll make you stronger'. Seems to fit for Keith!!
he is such a good kid - always thoughtful - never a bother - strong physically and emotionally - helpful - the list goes on - there is a reason for everything - wondering what his is...
I've been called much worse as well, Soodle, dunno why that is though?!?

Yawn...hello. Quiet in here..
Yes, yes it is
OK, I am on...let's PARTY!
That's the spirit! Hi, Cbr, Jill :)
Let me get a drink before we start the party!
the only problem with weekends is that they are flanked by Fridays and Mondays!!
good plan...we have some fresh mint so I'm thinking it's mojito time ;)
Let me check on airline reservations NB...I'll be over!
hello Jesse!
still slogging away at the grid then George ;)
eh, yeah, been slogging away at other things for a while, just seeing if I can finish it now, ha!
That was my plan, originally, but I fear the mojito will interfere dramatically with my attempts to finish...
lol
well so might my current state, after being sick in bed all day yesterday and still not quite rigiht--and very tired on top of all that!
Hey, I 'm back again, I went into a temporary sleep coma, but I see everyone is still here so no time lost!!
ha! no, some of us were here and are back
LOL! I thought it was just me.
aww, are you still not all better? have an early night for once :)
yeah, gonna try, if I finish this soon enough, ha!

Woo-hoo. Fireworks here! Can I give anybody a hand?
Sure, Soodle. I'll have, let's see, 200 clues, please ;)

You mean you have 94 already, Nancy?
Congratulations Soodlebum on fireworks!Good for you
I have a collection of plurals, ers and ies...;)
hello Soodle, still here eh?
Yup! Basking in my fireworks!!
Well no easy feat with a chubby grid like this!
Don't you just love grids with s's NB
Lmao. Chubby grid!!
Sure, grids like this are chubby, the 400+ are verging on the morbidly obese, around the 100 mark is slender and less than 50 is just attention-seeking thinness ;)
hah. beautiful analogy, nb
Chubby grids are fun but I never feel like trying to finish- just browse around
yeah, well so am I but oh well eh? ha!
well, chubby, not morbidly obese anymore, working on the rest!!
I love it Nancy. I will look at Babble with new eyes after that description.....
Attention seeking thinness- good phrase
My battery is on its last legs, so I gotta go. Best of luck finishing this 'chubby' grid. See you all again soon. Poof
bye, soodle

no red, I haven't been on today. Maybe Mother?
possibly, I was on for a bit and fell into a sleep coma, so...
oh red, are you working too hard? *concerned mama look*
I had an unusual schedule this week, and everything is a bit off, but I am fine thanks. How are you enjoying yoru school off time?
for the last 24 hours... LOL it has been fairly nice, though I have been running errands today. brb

Rainy, very humid day here. Unproductive, lazy due to sauna-like conditions.
hey all, back to find my last 27 words
how's your head feeling scrabs? that kind of weather can trigger headaches for me.

Hi Pe**

Stid, I had a migraine from Monday til yesterday---not severe, but distracting
Hi Stidgmere
hi Pini
Hello Smama. And all, what a lovely day to be going through my brain searching for words.
Good evening to my fellow babblers! How is everyone?
By the way, congratulations to all the finishers! YAY!
Hi Minveryork!
hi minver
hi lyn, scrabs, peri, min
hey Min! welcome to the grid@
We are such polite people--greeting one another.
hi TO and min
and stid gmere
Hi Minveryork. I'm doing well. The day is beaautiful and we're going to hear one of the Stidboys play his first "professional" gig tonight.
I cannot wait until the kidlets are back in school
Professional? Trumpet?
we are GOOD people. I love being here.
oh oh Tea... spill the beans! (or don't, your choice)
yep. his first real experience as a professional trumpet player!!!!
TnC--I have been hearing mothers say that to me in the office this past wk.
Crackers is just a little butt!
TeaNCrackers, what's going on? Back in school and we still have over a month of glorious vacation.
He is so defiant and weepy right now
Yes, paid trumpet playing in the pit orchestra.
I think he is a bit sick, so I amt rying to be understanding, but I am at my wit's end and he's been home for 15 minutes!
Kids miss their schools and friends. It is true.
Nice stid family, not so nice about crackers.
Is he hot? Tired? Hungry?
oh tea... *gentle hugs* they do that at that age. What can you do for yourself to give some time (5 minutes) to recollect your center?
Give him a hug, tell him you love him, give him a drink + snack.
Tea ont he other hand is a gem and I feel bad that she bears the brunt of a lot of his misbehavior, I spend all of my time on him
Right, sounds like a sick kidlet for crackers. Or at least out-of-sorts.
it's hot where you are, would a popsicle help?
How old is Crackers now?
he just turned 5 last week, scrab
a popsicle might. he's on a time out rightnow, so once his dad lets him out, we will do popsicles
boys are needy (is that sexist?)
oh no, lynx, he's going to be a perfect man - all whiny and crabby when he is sick
we deal with that sort of situation at our home too tea... the "quiet" kid syndrome. BUT you know it is happening, so you will make sure she doesn't get lost.
Young kids often have difficulty understanding + describing why they don't feel well, or why they are crying, etc
rofl tea! (but I am very whiny and helpless when I am ill, too....)
well, off to see of time outi s over and popsicles are allowed - wish me luck,
Be calm + in control, TnC, even if you have to fake it.
good luck tea!
BBL, looks like a nice day to walk the dog, been drizzling all day the last few days

Can I admit that I am feeling very childish. I have been plannign to run a 5K tomorrow and I dont want to go because I am afraid I may finish very close to last. In fact, I probably will...still...
you can admit, red...
It's not bad, red...
consider finding "running" with someone you meet while waiting for the gun...
...company can make it easier to accomplish...just a thought.
It's hard to be slow. people always think that finishing i some big accomplishment for slow people, but it is just finishing. I am glad however, that my achilles is attached.
oh the distance is not an issue, its 3 miles. Its more that I am not as fast as I used to be.
gads, my word skills sucked in that last comment
I think we got it though Pinik! we are good at translating.
what makes you think there won't be others there who have the same thinking you do? you might surprise yourself and do better than you actually think you'll do!
I think it's a big accomplishment to finish such a thing because I can't run like that. I think it's awesome you're planning to run even though you don't think you're fast
(thx red ;))
I always think that but I tend to now end up at the bottom, but I want to do the run because it supposrts a good cause and the t shirt is great, and I need to do a few actual competitive runs.
Well, i will be running an hour from my home so perhaps I wont run into people I know...
focus on the positive part of the run (great cause, you're fit enough to run!); don't dwell on the negative (that you may not do it as fast as you'd like)
think of all of us who aren't running as finishing behind you. cause we would. totally. very very far.
in fact, if you continue to think of negatives...consider countering each negative with two positives!!! I have faith in you!!! You can do it!
so the fact that you're doing it, and running, is pretty amazing. no matter where you end up.
you may always consider yourself kicking my ass.
good point, brid...
you know, if it helps.
Hi, brid
mine too red ...
thanks all, I suppose it is all there, but it is a little frustrating. I guess I can admit that I also dont think running 3 miles is much of an accomplishment!
phone - brb
Mine too, red, totally!
hiya
(run it twice for good measure???) :)
(brb)
hi red
I agree with pini about having a positive attitude ... you are, after all, just recovered from an injury and won't this be your first run since that?
but thank you all. I hope I can get it together to enjoy it....and remember last year at this time when my achilles was flopping about and making it hard to walk...
we want to hear all about it tomorrow after you're done
aw, man, see. and i was impressed with just running the race. before i found back you were coming off of something like that.
I'm sure I'll talk all about it...
you're gonna do just fine. tc and hagn e1
with that, I probably need to walk the dog and go to bed! thank you all!!!
go
err good luck!
i swear i can type.
Congratulations wildcat17 on fireworks! Good for you
Bye, wildcat

You are so good at those Min! I look forward to them!

Nicely done! I wish he could quit though...for both of you!
Thanks car.eeyore
Phantom words for me today are imagery & premesis.
May I please have a clue for the ep 6/24?
evening, kiddos
Mine is merge.
Hi Jes!
Hi, jes
Thanks for the clue story, Min...
oh yeah, Minver? I just quit last year, finally, was bloody hard for me and I've been battling it since, had a few relapses but got right back on the wagon after each one! only thing that finally worked for me was Champix, but didn't like the side effects from it, so using the patch and ecigarettes along with sheer willpower and determination!!
You're welcome Jellen and hi! Not sure if I greeted U.
Well done George! Good for you!
Hello jesdraggon! How are you doing? Welcome to grid
Champix works very well for some people though, did for the husband of a friend of mine, he had no trouble quitting on it for good, didn't get the side effect i did either -- everyone's different!
ta, car--still fighting it but determined to win!!
Hang in there!
Got to get the boys to bed! Good night my friends!
Congrats on quitting George.Since you quit out of sh 5/12 willpower, I will not send you to the Penalty Box.
Hi guys...been lurking for a minute, here...may I ask what your side effect was, George? I feel for you, Min. Mine is only on one pack a day, but it's getting old.
Goodbye car.eeyore! I'll see you tomorrow in the log!
Hello Krista! How are you doing? Welcome to the grid!
bye, car!
Hi, Krista
Bye, car
We call it Chantix here. Hubby has had three RX's for it and never got them fillled. Hey Jellen!
I was wondering the exact same thing Krista. I want to suggest Champix to my hubby. He probably will not use it though. I have never heard of Champix before.
It supposedly really works to kill the cravings. And yes, it only works if they take it, huh. Hopefully George's side effect wasn't too personal to share, lol.
Actually Minve, it's Chantix. Side effects are vivid dreams btw. Sure has helped a lot of people I know to quit
hi all! at our lakehouse in lake geneva and sweaing like a dog. whew!
Brand name is Champix in UK.
Hello Jillyjill! How are you? Welcome back to the chat!
Hi, GE

I had the vivid dreams all right, yeah, very weird ones, very bad at times, but it also made me feel very black, morose, irritable -- didn't like feeling like that, that's the main reason I didn't go back on it!

Which words?
The MI plural
clue for sm6,30?
sm 6/30 word is s plus *** Ryan plus not pa jesdraggon
It worked today but not yesterday
Not sure what you mean - none of the mi words in today's grid were in yesterday's.
My bf just came back from the store and a very grumpy man parked in a parents with prams spot then proceeded to complain about how stupid the spots are. (here they have taken over from the Disabled spots)
Gremlin it wouldn't let me pluralise the mi 5
Strange.
very
hah. thanks, min.
The mi5 is a tiny flying beastie.
Someone yesterday said the same thing - I was almost sure she must have typoed her word.
yw
It wouldn't let me have the plural of that Christine
hah! fireworks :)
I was able to enter it, Herin
Congratulations jesdraggon on fireworks! Good for U

Hello TeaNCrackers! How are you?Welcome to the grid
I updated the blog - did you see?
no tea, I didn't. I can go look.
when you get a chance
don't listen to your mother... it is NOT all your fault. kids go through stages like that and some kids are simply needier than others, regardless of the parenting.
51 to go... 1 more and I'm going to bed
I started at the flip. but stayed only a short time; I've popped in throughout the day, and still have 114 to find. Nevermind - the fun is in the playing, and it's not necessary to finish (altho' it's nice, when that happens).
Tea is your youngest being a clingon?
I do spoil him so we are going to work on being more consistent
nobody needs clues?

Well it is after midnight so I will repost story of clues I posted earlier today for babblers who are not done.
thanks you
With a puzzle this large, I de4/5 it necessary to do a story of clues. I have a me 4/5 23 words left so I'll do my story early. My hubby, whose name is Mi 4/9, is a sm 6/33. He sm 6/33 at least 2 packs a day. Nothing against sm7/48,but I really hate his habit.Hubby had his first cigarette on pr 4/5 night. His date made him try it and he has been addicted ever since then. His addiction has gotten even wo5/18 over the past few years. Hubby's plans to quit have gone aw 4/10 many times. Each time he quit he was always on ed4/7 and was very ed4/9. I was also wa4/10 every time hubby quit because I knew it wouldn't be for long. One time he sw 5/18 he quit, but I sp 5/14 on him one day and saw him lighting up. He accused me of being a sp5/12 and not minding my business. We have gotten into de 4/6 arguments over his bad habit. Sometimes I think he refuses to quit out of sh 5/12 stubborness. I have had nightma4/5s that he had lung cancer. I know he would be filled w/re7/32 if he ever really did get lung cancer. My life would be a me 4/5 if I ever lost him. I pr4/7 everyday that he'll quit pe4/5anently one day. Maybe God will hear my pr 7/40. However, right now it se 5/12 like he cannot be sw 6/39 to quit, but I am se4/5 hopeful. Wish I could sp5/16 a magic potion on him that would make him hate cigarettes. Husband is being an ar 4/4 and wants the computer. It ir4/4 me when he takes the computer away from me. Oh well, my ey4/6 are sore anyway. I hope you we4/8 able to find some mo 4/5 words from my story. Be back later.
