the groomers here are all afraid of chows, so I do what little I can but it is an every day chore

we installed a special shower outside, but the weather has been too iffy and husband can't really help. Needless to say, Rubes doesn't really like it

yes, FMitch, I've done a big project with them, typed out each one (had to translate some which were in Italian), and created a family "book" for my brother and sister - it's a project still in progress, as I would like to add some narrative and really tell a story

Talking of employment - my 24yr old son is leaving here on 8 November for a 6 month stint as a waiter/barman at a golf resort in Miami - he is soooo looing forward to being in the USA and I fear he will look at trying to find permanent employment over there - he will finish honours degree in sport/exercise science at end October

The homes + barns in the area are really old too. A woman gave us a tour of the church when she saw us parking next to the church.

And when we returned her husband was just finishing a ride on one of their horses and we got to pet the horse--so sweet + calm.
i've created a monster here. i put some games on the iphone for the kids, figuring we can use them when out and about and need a distraction. nick LOVES them, and has just now monopolized my phone.

shape builder, it's a puzzle game, and then toddler teasers, where he has to touch the letter/shape that they say, or a sorting one, where he has to sort letters, numbers or shapes.
problem is now when my phone rings, he runs after me saying "i play! i play!"
it did come in handy when i was stuck waiting 10 minutes at lowes for someone to even talk to me at the paint counter.
i have patience for that,in my line of work they expect "sudden service " from me,so i tend to expect it from them

We have had a 'bumper crop' of butterflies this year. In our back garden, there are plants which have been decimated by caterpillars, which have now all grown into butterflies. We have a shrub called a 'butterfly bush' and it looks as if it is alive, with all the butterflies on it. Really special!

Gr 5/14ings all babblers! I gave up on the grid so now I can wr5/18 a story of clues. It aw4/8 me how some babblers can finish big grids in just hours. Ha 4/5 off to those talented babblers! Sometimes Babble just ea 4/4 up my day and nothing else is done.I started this grid at flip & found half of the words. Then I woke up this morning and got a fr5/18 start on grid & I found some more words. I have 176 words so5/16,but I had fe5/24 hours to do grid because I was very busy and did not have much fr4/7 time. I won't fr4/7 over not finishing the grid. I agr4/6 with other babblers in th 4/5 babbling should be fun and not stressful. I do not ta4/8 it too seriously when I don't finish grid.I will be fr5/16 tomorrow, so hopefully I'll be able to finish the grid. I'm usually the fr6/27 on the weekends because I don't have to work. Babbling time may be cut short because husband & I had a he 5/12 to he 5/12 about my babbling time. We usually get into really he 4/5ed arguments over Babble,but not this time.I can tell he is about ready to tell me to take a hi 4/9 because of all of the hours I spend on computer & the non-hours I spend cleaning house. Don't want to hi4/5 someone to do it, so I need to do it. Now I can he 4/5 husband waiting for me to watch a movie.I'm going to get out of this hard se4/4 and go sit on the so4/7 so 4/7 and go watch a film which st 4/4s Morgan Freeman.
