well there's a little alcove created by one of the support butresses on the north side of the building that people like to huddle in and smoke because it's out of site from the staff ... ... but God likes to rain on it ... ... but the little old lady still had to have her smoke ... ... I'll bet she died of pneumonia ... not cancer ...
it was just luck of the draw for me,i could of still been smoking,but the year before i got tired of paying 15 dollars a day for the habit for the wife and i
I had an uncle who continued smoking even after one lung was removed and, of course, died of it eventually

but I should talk ... they cut out twenty centimeters of my colon and two thirds of my liver ... but I still drink way too much caffiene
My brother quit before his first round of chemo. He started up again after his 2nd round. That's when I suspect he got the "terminal" diagnosis that he didn't tell us about.
that was my incentive to quit when I did crossy but at a much cheaper time. I quit when they were a $1 a pack. but it was a lot to us at the time
I did everything right and still got cancer....you can't control your genetics

jealous of the chinese restaurant talk .. here (in calgary), even in chinatown you can't find ethnic chinese food, everything is westernized
i've asked my chinese friends (and thai friends, and vietnamese friends) where they go to eat out (their respective cuisines) .. they don't. they cook at home if they want asian cuisine
that said, if i made the trip to chinatown, i could buy the ingredients i'd need ... fresh rice noodles, fish, sauces, vegies, etc.

yes, but who wants to cook every night after work? not me, that's for sure. i would love a neighborhood diner, like the greek diners in your neck of the woods, to call 'home' ... none of those here either. a culinary wasteland :)
