fortunately, our power lines are underground, so whenthere are freakishly high winds, we still keep the power. It does go out, sometimes, for no apparent reason. It must be a French company.....lol
I love candle light, will quite often have several lit on the desk rather than use electric (in the winter). lol ruby.
oh lucky, ruby, ours aren't - hubby was at the bridge club and said there were signs where trees had fallen across the main road - road crews are very quick to keep the road clear though

when my husband was a teenager, he worked at the greyhound track in Miami and didn't like the dogs as they became so neurotic from never catching the "rabbit" and being muzzled the whole race

For those nor in remote areas, the water won't work either as the well is electric dependent
so the full bathtub is so you have enough water to flush
we're on well, so depend on the power
and always have tub full when we have high winds

Lynxx- depends how deep. Genarally about 3-6- grand complete with pump, pressure tank etc.

yes, we have septic systems
The water is always clean cold and pure. And our own water treatment plant aka septic is great.
So how do you make use of the artesian well, is it about the procedure? Curiousity - I don't know anyone but you who has one.
TY I find all that interesting. Things that we take for granted here - even though we are a large country. We have septic in outlying country areas but I don't know of anyone with their own well.

we have manganese in the water and before we had the filtration system installed, you could see black lining the toilet tanks, so imagine what it was doing to the pipes!

Going into Summer in a couple of weeks...Spring has been pretty cool - with lots of rain! Gardens looks great and our dams are over half full. The drought has really broken

My little boy is a Jorkie a cross between a Jack Russell and a Yorkshire terrier and he has the best traits of both breeds he is so laid back he is horizontal he even lets our two cats push him around
evidently, chows have very big litters plus a bad reputation. Not one of our five chows has ever bitten anyone even though they are wonderful watch dogs.

Jack Russells are really intelligent dogs ... but I think that passed by our little boy he is really dumb
big heads but with the independent personalities of cats
they are not noted for their intelligence, but that may be because they are not willing to follow instructions
....like herding cats. However, they are very clean and housebreak themselves. We've only had 2 "accidents" over 20 years and 5 dogs

right now I'm at the point of not being able to load my pictures from my camera onto my computer for some reason. I have never learned how to switch icons anywhere; I imported this one from another site I was on (or maybe my son did it for me; I can't remember)
Nef, if you have images in your My Pictures (or the Mac equivalent) the instructions in your My Account, left side, are quite clear. That's how I learned.
Anyway, time now for me to see what the next theme is and act accordingly ;)
