Hi all, I have just logged in after a 'cloud 9' day. My first granddaughter, Isabelle, was born at 2am 12.12.2010. I feel very blessed and lucky. I don't expect any oohs, aahs or congratulations, just wanted to share my joy.
Well, I'll will ooh and aah cause I thing that is marvelous!!! Congrats and blessings to the whole family!

Come to think of it, oohs and aahs and congratulations are really special ...

Hi FMitch, everyone. I am here everyday but only for 30 minutes so I don't chat (cause I LOVE to chat and then I am here for a couple hours!)
You betcha FMitch!!
I do so enjoy keeping up with everyone tho, I do read the chat while I play!

Doooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sorry
If you're still here, Sara, many congratulations on your little granddaughter!
Morning Haz!
Good morning!
How are things in your neck of the woods?
Very cold and frosty this morning again.
And I'm happy to report mission accomplished yesterday with the great dress hunt.
mm we have quite a thick frost too but it is bright and sunny, makes such a difference.
Yes, it's bright here as well.
I treated myself the other day to a small piece of vintage cheddar cheese, tastes divine but lordy do I get strange dreams now if I eat strong cheese :( Not keen on that aspect of getting older.
sorry that was rather a change of topic.
Goodness!
*sinks back into the undergrowth*
You'll get nettle rash.
yay for the dress hunt!
Morning Ata! How is Sily? and yes how did the dress hunt go Haz?
I know! There were hints of a meltdown but crisis averted.
still grumpy and doesnt appreciate syringe fulls of liquid being pumped down her throat!!
Is anyone else getting the red 'word couldn't be added. Please try again in a minute'?
But has she stopped producing unwanted material from either end?
Can't say Pat as haven't started the grid yet.
thumper came back from the store
Hello, Pat - I can't say either because I'm done.
yes, thank goodness!
Congrats Haz!
That's a relief, Ata. Hopefully the hated liquid will get her completely back to normal.
It's constant so if you were you would know. Ta
Thank you, FM (curtseying)
hopefully :) she did come and sit in her basket as normal last night rather than continue to hide in her little dark corner in the room hidey hole
Do try and keep your tiara on straight whilst curseying.
congrats, sarY, oohs and aahs from here, too. Isabelle is a beautiful name!
Hope it clears soon, Pat - have you refreshed?
Morning ruby!
{{FM}}
Right, I must head off and get some things done. I'll maybe be along later. Bye!

Hello Ardill :-)

woot halfway done and going to the list bbl
Morning all. Soodle, Daisy is so sweet looking. I'm glad you have a new member of your clan.
Thanks Moll. She is only 9 weeks old, and very lonely after her 11 siblings. She slept in my daughters bed last night....
Your daughter objected a lot, I bet! :-)
Lol Sal -she described it as a bonding experience!
Daisy is about one quarter the size of Dora the cat. And Dora's nose is severely out of joint!
I think it's very important for families who lose a pet to get another as soon as it feels comfortable.
I worried about that, Molly, and gave it a lot of thought. But I felt now was a good time, with the kids off school, the new puppy will get heaps of attention and affection till she finds her feet in this madhouse!
It must take a while to get a new pet assimilated into a group of people and other pets.
Hi all
Hello n0bd
hey
hru
Indeed, Molly....not to mention following her around with a mop & bucket! Hello n0bd...... sorry, but I have to leave now. Happy babbling.

you need to make a new account, but most babblers use the same name I think
ty ata
ardilla: if you guess at something you es8 it, but change the 5th letter to a higher value one
its not very chatty, not like babble
Connected with summer, if your Latin is up to it :-)
great clue sally tyvm
ty saly
sally!
it's also something akin to hibernation
Thanks Sally, I didn't have that one yet.
Yes, strange that Ata. I always associate hibernation with winter (as you would expect from the root).
hibernation occurs in winter, aes'ation occurs in summer
So the word we must't mention by mistake is like a summer hibernation, but called the other word.
yep! known as "summer sleep"
I think I spend most of my time in that condition.
think dormice do it
Summernate!
are the last 3 au related?
Hence Alice in Wonderland.
yes ardilla
It's always amusing when I get words when I have no idea what they mean. I feel like I'm borrowing someone else's brain.
clue for the ar7 pls?
I look up quite a few of them, depends how many there are! It helps me to remember them for another time.
Most painter-like

That silly Olde English word, di5, is here again. I think it was Friday when we had it last.
Thank you all for your lovely messages - good night.
Morning folks. Go Steelers
lol howdy bob
TO i have tried multiple tricks to read the caption on your pic. What does it say?
hi Bob
hi mr bob
Hi Bob
i see the patty who was held hostage and loved her captors in the 70,s is in this grid;)
the skins are playing the bills so: go steelers!
No, our Bills are playing the Browns.
"Dear Santa: Bring me what I want for Christmas or Dancer and Prancer are next".
poor thing
cute TO
Go Bills
sorry i never learned to read a calendar apparently we are playing the buccaneers
years ago i used to root for the browns, cause they were the underdog and dead last
my senior staff never forgave them for literally sneaking out of baltimore in the middle of the night
Our hapless Bills--a bunch of good guys that are trying really hard.
Ack! its past time i got dress, made food for the pot luck and hit the road!
have no idea what our argo,s are doing..golfing in duneden i think
*runs out of chog throwing nighty off*
jmc is streaking the chog!!!
!
love these high shutter speeds for things like this!
Haha, Crossy.
glad to see you are feeling better, scrabbler.
Not 100%--headache since yest, not exactly a migraine. The hypochondriac in me, because I know too much, is researching rare diagnoses.
Scrabs...any diagnostic insight?
well if you are goibng to dream up something, make sure it is exceedingly rare and facinationg;))
damn typos
oh scrabs!
then we can call up mystery diagnosis
I think this is the same grid from yesterday just in reverse! So many similar words!
how is your eye doing scwabby?
Ah, yes. Now that my brain MRI was normal (done last Tues) and I know that I have no brain tumor, my next focus is what the medical field calls a "fascinoma"--a rare but fascinating diagnosis--a pheochromocytoma.
LOL
hehe
personally i always wanted to have a phobia of phobias
or a fear of belly button lint
My eye is improving, or at least, the blurriness is less annoying.
good stuff;))
if your eye fully recovers,i have the complete e-book collection of Douglas Adams "hitchhikers guide to the galaxy" i can send you for Christmas:)
unless you use a kindle then you are FUBAR
pantoms "trait" triad"
I do not have an e-reader....yet.
common scwabby! tis the season to get a nice new sony or nook reader! or even a kobo reader
Which do you have and which would you recommend? I was reviewing some models earlier today.
wife has sony i have a nook
given your locale i would go with the barnes and noble "nook" reader you can get it down there for about 130
i can even go on line using wi-fi with mine if i wish
outside of the state,i reccomend a sony ready, cause they are more usefull globally
'morning, babblers

they told her he had an ear infection... but i think it was just a virus - he was fie the next day ad never seemed to have ear pain - all TMs can look flushed with a fever
carlee--the brain damage was NOT from the fever, it was from the infection.
well..when my son had it he was only 1 year....almost weaned ( as in 1 nurse/ day ) from nursing... i had 2 options...strap the infant to the bed so could not move for IV..or stay with him in hospital and start nursing full time...talk about painfull...
ERs and urgent care centers diagnose ear infections and "early sinusitis" in all kids presenting with a fever. It makes us nuts.
( I know that scrabs..u know that..the mum tho....completely convinced otherwise... )
Top row O clue please?
faster than explaining why they do NOT need an abx to an anxious parent
phantom "restive"
And another peeve: the rapid strep test is negative yet an antibiotic is still prescribed for tonsillitis. Aaargh!
my son...and daughter..very start of ear infection or whatever...ear pain... rubbed vicks behind the ear... heating pad set on LOW inside pillow...tylenol... bed...by morning...no pain..back to normal
studies show patients expect a Rx or they are not happy - we have trained them poorly
sore throat... tylenol...for pain...gargle warm water and salt...cough lozenge...comfy blanket..sofa...stack of m ovies...
plus, docs feel they must do something - easier tha explaining why rx is ot needed
Yay, Carlee. Experts have told us since 2004 (official clinical guideline came out) that 80% of ear infections resolve with time + pain reliever.
my daughter went so long without doc... that her med card expired and i didnt know it...
I am SO disappointed with how many MDs are antibiotic vending machines.
kje, now that my brain MRI is nl I think I have a pheo. Ever seen one in your career?
my first trip to an ED was a couple years ago when I fell and my foot was facing backward - we had to be dying before my parents took us i... all home remedies ad we survived
i didnt even know WHERE our walk in clinic was when i took my son there 2 years ago...ty[pically..dr ='s trip from injury from sports
it appears my father is home but still feeling rather tired. wondering if he will be ok by Christmas Hard to tell what he should be doing,
Oooouch, kje.
yes, scrab, I have... usually not subtle, but easy to dx... you need a good internist, trust what they say, ad stop tryig to dx yourself ; )
Little steps for him, Owl.
i've had 2 major trips for ED but one was ruptured appendix with an abcess the size of a catalope adjacen to the appendix...and an ectopic pregnancy that ruptured when i didnt know i was pregnant...oops..3 trips..shard of glass in my eye that was drilled out..
I have a good internist but I don't want to come across as a nut. But I have had dizziness, frequent headaches and excessive sweating since July-Aug.
All dangerous problems, Carlee. I'm glad you survived those.
TAH scrab? or just uterus?
that sounds like me with menopause srabs...started 2 months ago

hi waver
*waves to Waver*
((FM))
hi FM
before I go, does anybody have the 9? clue, please
*waves back* :)
it is an au9 but I do not have it
It is the longer form of the other aus before it. Perhaps, someone that is one of these.
au 9 is a filmaker peri
Like Francis Ford Coppola
of will look
words that start with two vowels are hard for me to find
that's it! au6, then the longer form which I didn't think existed!
don't have au6
it ends very much like people who like to exhibit things
and I thought it was only French....
it sounds very french ruby
Is that an extension of the au6/21?
c'est vrai
Hi - does anyone have a clue for the ar7/28 plz. Just can't get it at all.
ah ty for putting me on the right track !
also ev5 and 6 are French verbs
an au6 might be the ar7/28 if his films are too too chic
I am so confused with these au's!
found the au9 on morewords, never would have gotten it from the clues but ty anyway
tx ruby!
bon soir, une
Hmm - still can't get it. Does it begin with the backside word or the word to do with paintings.
Got it. Frog words. Yeesh.
hungry, bbs
with paintings
Ok - that gives me a start. Thanks.
got them by looking for french words :)
lol@frog words
hahah, ata
and au5 is one of the main groups of dogs, lupus and au5
Thanks got that ar 7.
ne savez-vous pas que le Français est la langue des amoureux ?
not for me, crossy!
yay, angel
No, I'm not really a fan of French.
you're lucky you don't live here, you'd be out of luck
le gasp!
le croak
nor i,but i try to know enough in several language so i can order a iced vodka and hit on the pretty young barmaids
We went to Montreal once. That was difficult enough.
don't feel bad, I can't understand Canadian French at all......
I would prefer to learn Italian.
and to say ow when the pretty barmaids hits you back?
lol,now they just laugh and pat me on the head
I am beginning to understand a little Italian, just from watching movies
lol, Ata. As well as when his wife drags him out of the bar by his ear.
I can read Italian pretty well from knowing French
do you have Latin, Ata?
yep, did latin at school for years
it does help!
I'm sure that makes a big difference
tempis fugit carpe diem..i never learned to order vodka in latin;((
Carpe bacon, Crossy!
my French is pretty "street" but I can write it correctly
lol
anyone have the di 7 # 1
I don't think I can remember any Latin, but I think having a handle on construction and basic way of using verbs etc is very helpful
somebody who writes a little every day
like kalia!
thank you ruby
yw
Latin is useful for root words, and learning the "romance languages".
here we go..how to order a whiskey in latin....pius sir,i votum praeeo a barba
*poof*
still looking for that one ruru. it is hard
I only know sea life latin
lol I know a lot of sea life latin too
here is hitting on a bar maid in latin lol...indulgeo mihi tener barmaid, but vos have pulchellus legs
sea life greek too
Latin is an awesome language. And that doesn't sound like Latin, crossy!
obviously some words just do not translate
lol
(hi all :o) )
howdy dfm
you sound like a drunk tourist crossy
it is dfm,i am using a online translator
perfectly in character then
online Latin translators suck...
not a good one,but as long as i can order a iced vodka and a bacon sammich,i am happy
I think Crossy reverted to Manglish Elatis for that pick-up line.
I don't have my Latin wordbook here, but if I did I could totally translate for you ;oP
no worry,it is not used much in casual conversation anyways
as long as i can order food, order booze, find a place to sleep and a bathroom that is enough
i travel light all i need is a duffel bag with a change of clothes,a bible,a bottle of whiskey,my swiss army knife and a beach towel and my passport,i am set to globe trot;)
a bible? :oO
you might need some visas too :P
amazing how many doors it opens
lol aya
Is your beach towel soaked in nutritional fluids?
lol love that dfm,you questioned the bible but not the beach towel;)))
of course
whisky has calories
You're either a hippy or a terrorist, Crossy.
well, you gotta know where your towel is... and if someone sees you with a towel, they'd think you're prepared for anything, since you even have a towel!
indeed
and i am partial to gin and tonic when globe trotting
You mean, Jynnyn Toniks?
oh you can't beat a G&T in the summer - lovely long cool drink.
oh, and the towel is for just in case you encounter the Bugblatter Beast, right, crossy?
thats the one dfm
no it is to wipe the neck of the bottle of pan galatic gargle blaster lol
Do you like gee-N'N-T'N-ix too?
anyways douglas adams would be proud but real life must intrude for the moment, back in a bit semi-poof
lol you two, we are back to the Hitch Hikers Guide.
FM!!
Ata dear, hello!
we have ever been off HHGG? :oO
Hows Sily today?
getting better :) much more normal
dfm I remember when my Mum phone me up on my 42nd birthday and I said "Iam the anser to the life, the unverse and everything " we both fell about laughing.
aww ata your icon is cute :o)
how is everyone doing today?
TY :) That's sily
Oh good Ata.
Hi waver
hi waver! :o)
Hows is your day going waver?
it is going well
nice to be back on babble, been away for a few months
Life gets in the way sometime but Babble is always here.
that is true!
Ata - snow has finally melted here, how about you?
it's ok here, but suspect in Maidstone there might still be some
:o( we have a rainstorm right now
it's very cold htough, the sea was freezing the other day
wow that is something Ata!
and my thermometer says it's just barely below freezing Do:
we are too...and it just about freezing, so it is slushy
The *sea* was freezing? :oO
it doesn't happen very often!
clue for the first st 6/21
This weekend hasn't been too bad but the forecast is not good. However compared to Canada and parts of the US we are doing fine.
Hi ruru!
hello there FM
FM you mean, the Great Lakes area... up here in Ottawa the weather has been unreasonably mild. And wet, icy.
st6/21 - the venus de milo is one
have that one .. need the next one
after st4 a pot
I was using a sweeping statement dfm but thinking of crossy
St6/21: st + fear the ra/4 of God.
thank you judi
Hi Judi :)
the storms also barely missed Toronto, I believe ;oP
wouldn't it be wrath?
ya...but it is hittin the east coast pretty good
Yes it would, ruru. I went for a phoenetic clue. So sue me.
LOL
*passes ruru some lawyers' calling cards*
what would the suit be over though.. a lost w?
Grammer shmammer. *sticks tongue out at ruru*
did someone misplace a W? Hello all!
Shows milk carton.. "have you seen this W?"
Hi red.
...carelessly lost by a police dept employee...
It's not lost. It just chooses to remain silent.
Gosh and I have always trusted Judi!
:D Judi? did you lose a W? or just file it in the cold case files?
hi from the great leakes babblers...... the crap is just starting here... temp is dropping .. rain turning into snow........ thank goodness i went shopping 2 days ago and we are ready for the stuff that is supposed to be on the way
well the that would make it wrat of god with the h silent

and with the missing w would make the rat of god
ahh...i am in new hampshire and we have rain...turning to slush here..
God Has a Rat??
really FM .. the omnipotent rodent
Can I admit that I am on Sanibel Island. its like 74 degrees F...
(mid sixties here today in California)
Of course, Red. The rat sits at the wright hand of God.
Ha ha ha!
and where does the dog of god go?
have not talked to sister in caribou , maine. she is probably snowed in... but they are prepared for whatever up there... iof course number 2 sister from houlton, maine prepared by going to florida 2 weeks ago... some of are smaerter than other i guess
God and Dog are the same Ata...I mean you see the spelling...
*sigh* I remember Sanibel. Love the weather. Hate the snakes and no-see-ums.
what are no-see ums
Have not seen any snakes, and its been too cold for bugs...Going to do Ding Darling Wildlife preserve tomorrow morning, currently recovering from race.
Tiny little biting flies. They made a meal out of me that last time I was on Sanibel.
sister has a placde on sanibel and rarely goes there... keeps offering me to use the condo, but i am plunked here and have no desire to travel
what kinid of snakes.. <--- hates snakes
I would have gladly taken a look at it this weekend.
big ropical ones ruru.
Numerous snakes. Large. Some venomous, some not.
tropical that is.
ugh...
No-see-ums are nasty. They are small enough to get in through window screens.
silent t on tropical too? wow who knew?
hi red, sammy! :o) sammy we have the opposite here in Ottawa, snow just turned to rain :o(
Yeah. It was crazy the last time we were there. It was really windy and they were falling out of the trees. Yeech.
hi Dfm... how are you?
OK I think I will stick wil England as a base for home - but do love to travel.
hi molly! :o)
well I can cross sanibel Island off of my bucket list I guess
that I would not like Judi.
the snakes were falling out of the trees??
fine, red... how was your race?
Sanibel is really pretty...despite the occasional snake.
Yes, Sammysmom. They really need to do something to erradicate them. The little gekos are cute though.
I like snakes
It was a wee bit disappointing dfm, I was 1 minute off a Personal Best time, but there was this crazy headwind at the end, and I couldn't push through, but overall, it went well, thanks for asking...
No-see-ums are not just in Sanibel. My parents had them on the Delaware shore. I remember the kids trying to sleep out on the sun porch one night and coming in because the no-see-ums were eating them up.
i guess i am blessed ... have no desire to travel south .. can't afford it anyway... and i have bugs and snakes
hate that is
Hmm. Never encountered them this far north, Molly. (I'm in Delaware). They're a bit like black flies, althought they don't draw blood when they bite.
Red, glad to hear your race went well.
Sprays sammy with insecticide to get rid of bugs
I've had no seeum experiences in PA. ouch.
Yes, I am about to drift off for a nap, my poor friends are still out there doing the Marathon, I got lazy and went home.
Must be off. Happy babbling all.
take care FM
bye fm.. nice to seeum
watch out for one thing FM

evening here
hi Kazzer
hi JBV - how are you
I woke up much later than usual, so I'm just getting started here - I'm OK, Kazz, thanks - very busy... can I tell you about a project I'm doing?
Happy Hogfather, kazzer
yes please - i am quite interested in whats happening to folks out there in Babble Land - do you FaceBook?
And you Bugs
I was translating a children's book for my cousin's grandchildren in Italy, did lots of work on it, but of course the work was interrupted recently.....
so I stayed up very late last night to put the finishing touches on the typing, formatting, etc., My brother is going to print it for me and send it express, - there's a chance they may get it in time
but if not, it will be a New Year's present!
I have read your profile - will getting back to the book help do you think?
I think this is a lovely thing to do - when my son was small i wrote him a book about a mad hippo
still dont get that first ar 6 18 word. any more clues out there? i dont know musical stuff so much.
absolutely - I was so wrapped up in it yesterday, I guess I was in what they call "flow" - lost all track of time, that's why I didn't go to bed til 1:00 A.M. - it is very satisfying to be doing something for others
difficult to clue - its a very babbly word - ar + 3rd vowel + 4th vowel then plural letter and then 3rd vowel again
you know, I think we talked about this before Kazz, I also wrote stories for my son - based on our true-life adventures, like finding a chipmunk int he basement :)
what a precious gift you have created, JBV
got it ty kazzer
its lovely thing to give children the chance to read and make their own connections and it helps bind generations together - we all read in our family and its good that we mainly like the same things

Hey guys! How is the babbling?
hi mark
it's a relatively simple grid with a few biggies
I think my babbling's done for a bit...if not clues are needed, I'm off to check emails...
22 left! this is the best i've ever done
keep it up, waver...need anything?
i'm good at the moment, thank you!!!
Just finished mopping out basement. Again. Now to tackle the grid...
leak, jan?
No, just a lot of rain. We've spent thousands of dollars supposedly fixing the problem, but in really serious rainstorms, the water comes back. I'm resigned to wet-vac and mops as the cure.
My trial time expired, and it said I needed a membership for the panel with my *****. It randomly just appeared! Cool!
'tis the season, mark ;)
ouch, how annoying, jan
Go for it, Mark. It's a terrific deal, and you'll have a time waster (or do I mean hobby?) for life.
I didn't sign up for it, though. I mean the panel just randomly appeared out of nowhere.
I like your profile picture Jan, a very fitting honor for such a incredible Mariner
Actually, it's more of an inconveninece than anything else. We had a pipe burst after the unusual cold snap earlier this winter, .
hi mcurl!
it's really worth it, mark! I have never been sorry.
hi pini
well, live it up, mark!!!
I'm glad your recognized it, mcurl. I was at the memorial at Safeco yesterday. I had never seen so many people crying over someone who they had never actually met.
ok, all...gotta go...have a great morning, afternoon, or evening! back later...
I bet it was. Just listening to Ric Rizz on the news brought tears to my eyes
bye pini!
bye pini
later, pini
see ya pini
There were many moving tributes. I think the most emotional was from a blind woman from the organization for the visually impaired that had given Niehaus an award for his work that inspired so much love for him among the blind. He could paint a picture you didn't need eyes to see.
Bye, pini. Have a great day!
Yes, they replayed that on the news as well. I always knew that I didn't actually have to be where I could "see" the game on the TV; just turn up the volume and you always knew when to come running in to see a replay!
What's funny is how many people who went to games brought a radio so they could listen to Dave. He was better than being there!
sometimes he made the game much better than what was really going on on the field.
You got that right! One of his early bosses once said, " You call a great game. Not the game I'm watching, but a great game nevertheless."
hooray - fireworks for me
nice job Kazz!!
nice job
He was a terrific human being, too. I met him years ago when my daughter was seriously ill in the hospital. As soon as she was able, she wanted a radio to listen to Niehaus braodcast spring training. I happened to mention it to one of my students--a ballgirl for the team--and the next thing I knew I had a voicemail from Dave offering to visit her in the hospital.
Hint for the au9, please!
The first homestand of the year, he came to visit her and spent more than an hour, talking baseball and barbeque and which of the young "cute guys" was going to stick with the team. She was awestruck, and so was I.
He was in incredible person. Very deserving of the honors he received and will truely be missed in the years to come. People should aspire to be just as honorable.
Sorry, Mark, I've just started the grid. Will look, though...
its between the singl fancy writer and its pl...
Thanks, Pav!
my first fireworks :)
Great job waver! By the way, I still don't have it.
Congrats, waver! Let it be the first of many!
yay waver! the first of many...
it only took me 6+months for my first
Do you have the "fancy writer"?
haha
what do you need Mark?
no, I don't. I need the au9.
The base word, "fancy writer" is an au/. Think pretentious French intellectual writer.
Oops...au/6.
a director who has a strong personal style...
Yes, that's the real meaning. Though it *looks* like a writer.
Dang it, I still can't get it. Uggggh.
ok all...i am going to go write a paper
good luck! thank you for all of your help
Mark, do you know about morewords.com and a2zwordfinder.com? They are good sites to try to track down missing words, listing words broken down by length.
Yeah! Halfway through. I am rather terrible at this game. It is still fun, though.
down to 2 x 7
You'll get better at it if you stick around. There are a lot of commonly appearing "words" we like to call Babblets, which we hardly ever encounter in real life but often see in the grid. In this grid, for example, is an et/4/5 that means "needle case." Classic Babblet, and once you see it, you'll find it easily next time.
insert "more " into Jan's last phrase....'easily next time.'
finito est!
Yay, pav!
If I'm to make flan for potlukc tomorrow, I must go get more ramkeins....
Magnifique! Allelulia!
WTG PAV!!
I love flan!
off I am...if you run into trouble..use Lickety;s List, link found at bottom...
Also, if you try plausible looking letter combos, you will find that some of them turn out to be words. We call this 'monkey-typing" or "monkeying" after the chimps out to brute-force create Hamlet.
helloi
ar7/28 pls
Hi peri!
Most self-consciously hip.
hi jan, you have been babbling longer than me! but I have never seen you here before

hello periwinkle! Welcome to the grid
ty Mark and hello to you
I made chicken paprikash for dinner, hope my family likes it.
It turns out the es/8 is the opposite of hibernate, for animals that go dormant in the summer. Sounds a bit like the word for to make an approximate guess about an amount.
Ooh, chicken paprikash is delicious! Hungarian food is the next great undiscovered cuisine, I think.
y9u are welcome to come for dinner Jan,

Thanks luv! I got it!
you're making me hungry, peri! :)
aha, ty so much luv and ballet and jan finally got the ar7
yw peri
clue for the 1st di 7/32 please?
Slow cookers sound like they should save more time than they do, since I think you have to sear the meat and carmelize the veggies first over the stove for the best flavor. Still, what I like about them is that you can cook really low and slow so as not to overdry braised meats.
Someone who keeps a personal journal.

Stid you can get the 3 series at Amazon UK dirt cheap
In Aus we have been totally screwed with the box set
hello friends (again)
Crossy if you have the ta4 word:tightly drawn; tense; not slack. there are another 4 words that begin with that.
Hello, Trif :-)
Trifs I am dog napping that pup
Stid: $250 AUs or $60ish on Amazon UK for Torchwood

Bye, Dawg :-)
Hello Everybody. How are you all tonight? (And how is the grid?)
Miters monkey .. x
no. the other thing. I am putting it down to new house/family/food and long trip. Keeping him hydrated has been a challenge
Hello again!
hey jellen!
Hi Jellen
o poor little Pup
Whoops. ..
what you whoopsing, tor?
Trifs how are the cats handling this idea?
And did I say, we are going with "indy" for a name, rather than bowie. It just didn't suit him at all.
they are typical cats - could not give less of a sh*t
diggity took one look at the puppy and fairly sighed with delight, he is soooooo happy!
Awww Diggity
indy is sleeping like a stone at present, pray it lasts all night, as I am taking the night shift tonight, and it's raining buckets out there
I was saying niters to someone who logged off a while ago - my chat log hadn't updated ..
hello torg, and trif, and herin...
I am sure that somewhere out there they know. and hello redhead!!!
Hi, red
hi Jellen.
So .. Heyas kids ..
If you have an old alarm clock ticker the dog may be calm about that. I have a bear that the kitty owns and a blanket that he slept on when we got him
HEYS Torg. Hi Red
yes, I had heard that too, herin. I have been looking around for one in the attic, but haven't found it yet. a friend of ours has a pillow with a noisemaker in it that sounds like a heartbeat, and I wish I could find one of those
hi all
hello tea
Hello everyone. I've been trying to find words to reach NBT and danged if I'm not trying to use the already black tiles for words! I hope this grid isn't as hard as I'm making it!
that's bad, nef!
I just been hit with news that is not good.
I do stuff like that all the time.
I know. The weather seems to have affected my thinking
i greyed the top row. whee
Herin, what's wrong?
this grid is hard. Hello Tea.
One of the pet shelters I work for has just been shut down
Nef, you guys are getting pounded, are you warm?
oh, herin that is bad news. I am really sorry
Hi all. Just getting started and will go watch football soon. Weather is everywhere today isn't it.
why was it closed?
Its total B.s It is not ok for a shelter to have a document wrong but it is ok to have 50 dogs in horrific conditions and then close them down and shot the dogs
Hello Stidgmere.
we are fine. We got snowed in with a bit over 2 feeet of snow and a blizzard, but today was bright and sunny (temps around 0 F) and a bunch of young friends came and dug us out
no weather here - it has been unseasonably mild
good to have strong young friends!
they shot the dogs!? THEY SHOT DOGS??
here, very windy and rainy. cold ront blowing in they say.
herin! That's terrible!
I can't even fathom
its very sad.
I hate that herin.
Oh Lord. That is unbelievably mean herin. Makes my head spin.'
does anyone else here follow a blog called "Hyperbole and a half?"
Trifs. This shelter saves death row dogs. Yet the same (insert bad words here) council let a puppy farmer go and do their own thing and when they closed down the puppy farm they shot all the dogs.
that is sickening, herin. sickening
My friend witnessed the animals being destroyed at the puppy farm. And this is why I don't like humanity
turds
I just don't know what I can do.
whoops. gads that's twice for me today! sorry
I thought it was a comment ..
well, it could be
I don't know what I can do
oh gads, there goes Indy again. How can so much "product" come out of such a small package?
herin, can you write a letter to the editor and see if that will call attention to this?
did they even TRY to get people to at least come rescue some of the dogs?
Trifs with this puppy hell hole in one of the rescue people took the dog away and teh police gave it back
and it is good night for ole crossy time for a snuggle on the couch under a bankie with a cheese and cracker plate
i cant imagine the police force wont catch all sorts of trouble for this one!
tc all and happy bABBLING
poof!
bye crossy
I just wrote a letter to the Premier about it
I think I will sign off as well
good on ya, herin!
Niters cross & Trifs ..
Good for you, herin. Sometimes a person has to try to get the word out to others when something horrid like this happens
niters, crossy and trifi
Night Trifs.
It just kills me that yes they may have not done the right thing and have the right documents yet this council has a mental about this issue yet has no problems with not closing bad places down
Evening all. Dear Lord, herin, this is just awful.
I think it's great that they close down the BAD places, herin. It's just the way they did it that bothers me. The dogs are innocents; the owner should be punished appropriately (I was going to say shot; but that's extreme)
Something similar happened here in Georgia a few years back. The thing that called himself a man, had to resign.
And what is wrong with the papers that the shelter had? Did someone not approve them?
No, not extreme, Nef. I agree with you.
Nef this one place in Anike were on the radar for a year and the council did didly and squat.
Nef I think the papers were about as stupid as the wrong size fencing
The place in Anike then got told by the government to shut down so they did. They didn't surrender the dogs they just shot them. My friend saw them disposing them
Were the dogs in that bad of shape? Were they diseased or what? THis doesn't make any sense!
Nef there was nothing wrong with the animals they just were not allowed to breed from them so they killed them.
that's terrible!
It is. And I just found someone in my area that may be able to drive me up to the shelter
clue for es 8/55 pls
what is going on at the shelter? Is there going to be a protest; or are you going to try and get some of the animals?
sorry, dsp. I don't have it yet (but am looking)
Animals can't leave there. They may need help with maintence.
Es 8 means to spend the summer, as at a specific place or in a certain activity
it sounds like getting an es****** on your car repairs; but change the middle consonant
ty all
Sorry
for what, herin?
Bad Clueing
that isn't a bad clue; that's what it means.
I am stuck on the last 15
