Funny you should ask, Haz. I finally settled with the insurance co. yesterday. Cheque will be in the post (!) within 10 days....
a little bit of argy-bargy with the insurance company but I will probably end up repairing the ceiling damage myself (not too bad)

My tradesmen are lined up and raring to go, but I am afraid to sound the starting gun till the money is in the bank....

Heston Blumenthal was doing a piece about airline food and concluded that it was no wonder it was generally not great considering how it had to be prepared, stored and reheated.

they have about 2 dozen cats, and they all pass around nasty viral disease to each other, so they all have the same issues. and they've been sort of saving them up over the winter when the ground was frozen. now they can dig graves, so we did a bunch at once.
they have several more that will probably be put down later too.

He was find, but yesterday he went swimming in the river, well he is sort of a water dog. Mybe he strained a muscle or it's arthritis or he drank too much. I've given up, the vet can check him tomorrow. Needless to say my hubby is sleeping soundly through it all but if I wake him he will worry then I'll be looking after him too!
