They were nice, but couldn't imagine that a) I had no idea who the person they wanted was and b) I didn't have any more information on this person who was so clearly not truly part of my family tree! We were treated to rather a pyrotechnics spectacle. It was actually really great. Someone somewhere to the East had some Very New fireworks. Must have spent a fortune. There were some shades of yellow I have never seen before and some super weird floating lantern things and one that sent up red flowers Veeeerrrrryyyyy Sllooooowwwwwly....

what did you do for new years eve sprite?
the kids asked if they could make dinner. They baked pancakes and made soup and it was delicious!! Then we all spent so4 ti4 on ourselves. After that we played canasta and animal snake, watched a bit of cabaret and then the men went out for fireworks, and caya and I stayed in and read a bit.

nrkii - forget lyme's - highly unlikely and not the usual joints for that... but the fact that it worsens at night is interesting for RA or some of the other connective tissue disorders... nothing is hard and fast, but OA usually gets worse with use, whereas RA usually worsens with rest and loosens as the day goes on... just a thought

Pini, how old is your daughter? The teen/adolescent brain has a different Circadian rhythm--falls asleep very late, wakes up at 9-10 AM. Studies in the last 10 yrs have revealed a lot about the teen brain.

Yes, I have full-spectrum lights almost everywhere in the house and turn them ALL on when I can (Tom turns them off behind me though) that helps -- as do the skylights (when the office is decluttered enough for me to use, that is)

hello all. just to jump in - I take concerta and lexapro, and I have found that simply sleep works great for helping me sleep. I do feel *slightly* mrs. robinson-ish, taking my "pills" but what can I say? my life is a suckfest at the moment, and it is helping my problems be life-sized

Then slowly you begin to realise that the diagnosis means very little, how you react to your individual treatment means everything

I think busing in the cities will be phased out for a while -- little rural districts really can't because it's the only way we can be sure some of the kids will get a ride to school.
