I was talking about Bovril. I used to hate it. When I'd cleaned out the chicken houses at the farm over the road from my Gran's, the lady there used to fill a huge enamelled mug with the stuff and try to insist I drink it. I'd find some reason to send her from the kitchen to the larder and tip as much as I could of it down the sink.

Kraft Vegemite is suitable 6 months of the year - check if there's a K by the use-by date - if so it's OK. (The other 6 months they make a meat product using same equipment).
I don't drink that really anymore - but used to. The taste was nice.

I play M + F and occ on a weekend day. We have played the last 2 weekends because cross-country ski season has ended.
Takes years off of his face, his body and his attitude! Wish i could play...but i have a knee that protests mightily!
League play just started here for the season...so he's on 2 leagues, but also just does pick-up play
We laugh so much that part of our workout is laughing.

Funny you should ask that, red...we have a Wellness Center loaded with a wonderful gym, gorgeous pool, and lots of classes. I just joined a Walk and Talk group that walks 6 mornings a week and am going to a Fit and Tone class tomorrow...

If you don't serve me my beer, I'm going to... I'm going to...." (he looks around the bar) "... "i'm going to EAT that woman sitting at the end of your bar. You see her down there, drinking her martini? Yeah, I'll EAT her if you don't serve me my goddamn beer." And he throws the bartender back down on the floor...
Here come da punchline.....
The bartender, now shaken quite a bit, replies: "I'm just doing my job, man! I'm really sorry, but we don't serve beer to bears in bars in Billings!!" Uh oh. So, the bear gets up off his bar stool, marches to the end of the bar, and true to his word, eats the woman sitting at the end of the bar. He marches back to his barstool, sits back down, and says to the bartender, "Do you see what I just did? I ate that woman sitting at the end of the bar. Did you see? i ATE her. Now, are you going to serve me my beer???"
The bartender stands up, dusts himself off, and answers: "Actually, we have a policy here: we don't serve beer to bears in bars in Billings on drugs."
"On DRUGS?!" says the bear. "What are you TALKING about?? I'm not on DRUGS! "

well, it turns out the CT scan showed them some fluid in his lungs they could drain, which they did, and now they are going to see what grows from that so they can better target the problem

all the drs and nurses there know me now, so I never even get questioned. And if anyone does, I happily tell them I work with fish, but then I was trained in paramedic-level aid with mountain rescue training. they like that!

Oscar sheds horrendous amounts of hair but I found that it didn't work too well on his coat. A plain old slicker was better....but you should have seen the results on my cats! They all look about 4lbs lighter!!!
