my d i l went to melb to greet my son at end of his 1200km bike ride
how was he feeling-any sore spots? that is a long way
pretty sore, especially as he went straight over the handlebars after running into the cyclist infront of him, on the saturday they got caught in all that rain and hail and could not even see where they were going
so a few large bruises from that and very sore knees and blisters on his backside
!!!! That Saturday was awful, would have hated to have been out in it. Good to hear he made it in mostly one piece!

Same with my little villa in Majorca - we couldn't even use it this winter, because I'd let it out to a friend and his parents, who had a long holiday there! :P

It is nice to be home again. Unfortunately, his situation won't get any better but he did qualify for and was admitted to an in-patient hospice facility...very nice, neat, clean and wonderful gentle people working there. AND clonked my head on the handicapped handrail while I was peeking under the stall to see if they were gone. It was classic sit-com material, except for the fact that it was real.
