how did Mr Haz decide to work with cows? Did he always have a bovine fascination?
The choice to do veterinary was prompted by his father - literally when he was filling in his UCCA form as it then was. He had been brought up on a small farm, his dad was a nurse but kept a number of bullocks for fattening, so was always at ease with cattle.
When he started work, he did small and large animal, but when one of the partners retired, the one with he special interest in cattle, he decided to specialise a little more. He loves cows!

There are a lot more female vets around now, I don't know if that has any bearing on what they like to work with. We have 2 female vets in the practice, one tends to do small animal, the other is prepared to do anything.
I think a lot of female vets prefer small animals - simply a matter of female strength vs male with obstinate bovines!
Bovines are a bit stinkier as well...

they are never infected - well only once, and that was when she screamed the practice down - just *full*. Apparently her glands are slightly tucked back to normal, so muscle movement doesn't empty them properly

am lucky my place keeps fairly tidy by itself apart from dust. This afternoon will get stuck into raising invoices for a client so this morning is babble time.
well i have a minimalistic style house..so it is mostly washing up & ironing and yes always dust around for some reason ..living next to the sea always lends to extra dust & sand.
now that would be a price I would be happy to pay!

T'was yesterday and was good apart from Mum had to do the driving as it turns out I am not insured to drive her car - so we drove at about 18 miles an hour all the way to the resurant and back.
She is at home with the beau :( I miss her muchly. She is one now thoguh and maybe considering growing out of her kittenish ways so she can become a real cat of glory.

Angelsong - when I was four, I had polio and rheumatic fever at the same time, so after almost 2years in an ironlung, it took another 7 tears before I could walk again (set the stage for future laziness), but my Mum heard of aan Australian Nursing Sister who advocated warm/cold water massages, among other things, and once my Mum set her mind to a thing, you might as well go along with it !!

but i WANT to die of a sudden arterial blockage! it's a pretty quick painless way to go, much better than cancer or something.

on average, when women control the money in a household, more of it goes towards food, education, and health care for the children. when men control the money, it tends to go toward alcohol and tobacco.

because even with all those things i just mentioned, there are still tons of women - even some of them success stories with lousy husbands - prefer to have sons instead of daughters.
still, there are plenty of decent men out there. I think many women don't love themselves properly and are attracted to men who don't either, and then bad stuff happens.

That MORE women dislike men than men dislike women? Or the other way around? And how would we prove that? And what would that prove?
i don't know if i like or dislike men - i can't separate out my general dislike of life which makes me tend to think i dislike almost everything.
