ty dart... pregnancy in the fallopian tubes (sounds like)

Dart! I meant Dart
starts like .. ec + opp of bottom + 1st person pronoun + 1st vowel and its plural
Ruru - starts like that stuff that is supposed to be around ghosts - no lasm on the end

re 6/7
what does santa put a lump of in your stocking if you are bad?
thanks
i didn't think that would work
that is an odd word
take the same ending of that and make it sound like an animal from mrp's land and the plural
i am really disappointed that tilapia is not possible in the grid
ty dart... didn't have that one either
what is with enable - 1st emeu and now co**** !

hi everyone
Hi Andree
hi all. tough looking grid today.
hi Kanet, reserving judgement
judgment of the grid? or me? ; )
Hello, kanet and lynxxx. It's not the fastest.
the grid Kanet
hi Haz
hi haz. and jk lynx.
the s's create a lot of plurals!
I'm doing quite well on the 4 letter words
nice. how many, lynx
i'm at 27 4 ltr
only 60, but thats a much better percentage of any of the others
I'd have to use a calculator to work out what percentage I've got of anything. Okay, of the fours and fives at any rate.
I can't even do it with a calculator.
62 - 51 - 35 - 37 - 50 %'s. To do - Divide your little number by your biggest and move decimal point 2 places
Let me try that.
good morning everyone
gm eva
hi Eva
Good morning all.....any chance of a clue for ac5/12 please?
ac5/12 - a plus an auto plus a vowel
Good morning, Flask - cold today, isn't it
hi Flask
gm flask
thanx Haz....I was going the wrong way!
and yes!.....its freezing!
No problem, Flask. The oil lorry has arrived - thank goodness prices have dropped a bit.
does anyone have the ec8-my last 8?
we almost have ectoplasm
It's the plural for ec7/36
Sounds a bit like the pregnancy that occurs in the fallopian tubes.
have ec7/32 but not for 36
thanks!
You're welcome.
and now i have one 7 and one 8. : ) thanks
The ec7 that Eva referred to is a pastry concoction, best made by the French (it's a plural)
sweet. ; ) thanks haz
mi8/55 - is to put something somewhere where you shouldn't.
yup, just got that one
That's good.
Must go and greet the oilman.
and ai8.50 compound, what every plane should have
bye haz. tx, lynx
anyone know a non-proper noun def. for the last pa5,12?
sorry kanet, just started the puzzle!
Kanet - plaster of pa*** perhaps
np brook. i was just surprised it counted
whoot, finally starting to like this grid...it's like pulling teeth.
hmm.. still seems dubious to me. but it's the best explanation we have so far ; )
i wasn't sure who was out there, and I just wanted to ensure you got some type of acknowledgement. And lynxxx, thanks for the clue!
hi Rose & Brook
hey lyn, brook, kanet
hi rose
hi rose, lynxxx, kanet (just making sure everyone is covered!)
anyone else finding this a slow grid?
Yes - after about halfway
i think it's slow by the mere quantity of words. I have 132 words left... yikes!
yeah rose. this grid is daunting
Morning/evening and Hi granny rose and lynxxx
and hi kanet
146 left here. hi fm.
((((mitch ))))), long time no see
Goodmorning FM
hi fmitch!
this grid looks a bit of a bugger
Good to see you too rose.
had to resort to lickety at 38 to go...
hi Chris
agreed chris
lol Chris
hey chris, you are right, not so easy
hi chris
morning lynxx & kanet
my goal is 50% : p
It's usually at this point that BabbleRabble claims that it's a piece of cake eaten while strolling through the park.
hm.. i think i always use : p when i mean : /
Good morning, FM, Chris, grannyrose,Brookie and all others.
Hey Haz!!!
lol, haz, shhhh, you'll waken him
hi haz
oh, and hello haz
Bumped into Ata yesterday she is back from C's.
Hi
hi Infernal
Hello! Good to know Ata's around again.
hi herin!!!
Greetings Babblers. I awoke an hour early so here I am.
and (((((((herin)))))), hellooooooo
hHi herin!
She'll probably appear just as I'm about to leave.
hi scrabbler!!!
HOw are you all? Rose I forgot to call you
and Brookie and Scrabs and anyone else that comes in in the next 5 mins!
Brooke, another insomniac?
Hi haz!!!
my goodness, the gang is all here, well almost, just need mrp, andree, anike, and on, and on
hi scrabs
Rose when you freee?
Hey Babblers !
lol - want to know a secret?
I'm not an insomniac, but my 21-month old is! :-)
& herinf.
Kanet, how are you? Did the Steelers win? Our Buffalo Bills beat the lowly KC Chiefs.
Ah, I see, Brooke.
hi Aussie & Scrabs
A secret? Absolutely!
I like secrets. Tell me, FM. I won't tell anyone else.
s'okay, herin. i'm not much chop at the moment, himself gave me his viral thingy, got better,so i gave it back to him....wasn't i kind?
steelers played on thursday against the browns. it was a depressing loss
Actually, I shouldn't say that. He sleeps through the night but does insist on waking up at 5 a.m., regardless of the time I put him to bed the night before.
When i can't sleep instead of counting sheep I recount babblers names from A-Z
Oh that was lovely of him so glad you shared
that's dedication, fmitch!
(Anyone have a speed dial to a shrink for FM?)
Sweet, Rose.
normally fall asleep by the letter c or d, occasionally I get up to r
Brookie my bfs brother slept for about 15 min a day as a baby
Poor zooz.
lol Haz !
I will try that, FM. I count backwards from 100...haven't entered negative numbers yet.
wow, i feel sorry for the parents, herin!
Never to be included in FM's nightly round-up.
AUSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSIE
LOL yup never made it tou,v,x,y,z
HERIIIINNNNNNNNN !
Hi Aussie
and scrabs, i'm glad to hear someone beat KC. steelers lost to them also. : p
hi aussie!!!!!!
hi aus
hi aussie!
Have to count backwards next time FM :)
Hi Aussie
But FM, that's the complete opposite of how you do the grid.
One of these days, you should try doing the grid from a to z and the nightly round up from z to a.
Good point Haz
I awoke with pink eye--scratchy, goopy left eye. I was at a baptism + luncheon yesterday and some little dearie must have shared this with me
sorry to hear that, scrabs
LOL I did try that a while back but got so confused with the backwards alphabet that I fell asleep anyway :)
Hiya Granny..... Kanet, Scrabs, FM, Haz, Brookie, and anyone else.... and Lurkers :)
ewww...hope you know a quick cure
I have antibiotic eye drops that I can use. I just did a saline rinse first.
am I first?
See FM, it works quicker than counting Babblers forwards !
ATAAAAAAAA !!
yuck, scabs......
Hi Ata
Hooray, Ata's here!
Ata!!!
hi ata
(((((((( ATAAAAAAAAA ))))))))))))
Yay Ata!!!!
hi ata
HI
Anyone have a clue for the al5/10 please ?? I think i have been round all the monkey words, and still cannot find it !
She's going to be so smug with all this greeting...
utterly *smug*
al5/10 - also known as
herin, haven't seen you for ages how things going?
aussie, it's a word for "another name"
aussia, using another name
Thanks !! DUH !
Or al5/10 Smith and Jones. Remember them? Or does that show my age?
yes it shows your age haz, but then I remember them too!!
I remember them Haz, don't worry :)
amusingly, my mother never liked me watching that show cos it was too "adult" :P
They were fun! And very handsome if I remember correctly.
*smug* just posted most of my Christmas cards :)
I remember that show.
Of course, I only watched out of historical interest.
have done No christmas stuff at all
Surely, Haz
* looking up at ceiling, whistling " the old grey mare " )....no, no,not at all, dear haz
I loved it
lol
There's lots of time to do that, herin
*smug* I nearly have written all my Christmas cards. Oh wait, that doesn't allow me to be smug at all. I've been outsmugged.
I have the most impaortant things done, Georgia's presents, and ALL wrapped too !
ROFL
or important !
Aussie wins the smug prize, although, I have to say, I harbour suspicions about people like her.
good for you Aussie!
I have ALL my cards written, posted, and done since December 2nd :)
can I be smug too if I say I am going to do my cards this Wednesday when the temp is 38 !
but I still can't find my Christmas book, so am screwed till I unpack the last few boxes.
Aussie is just confirming my suspicions.
(I start buying in January) :)
well that was fun
oooh lynxxx wins on that one.
lynxx is it going to be that warm all day?
You can't be smug at 38, you need all your energy to survive.
think so Infernal - 32 tomorrow, change Wednesday night - so at least only one day
I have a list Haz, and I try every year to stick to it.... I am still working full-time afternoon shifts, so I have to do it all with a 3 and a half year old trying to "help" :)
Good. I can wash my curtains and try and defur them
Ok that was sad
hmmm just contemplating 38 degrees - nah will stick iwth +10 and be happy with that.
Have they been kitty-d Herin ?
I used to be more organised when I was younger, but everything tends to get done in the end.
Aussie that is an understatement.
It does Haz, correct..... and you can be smug with the fact that you are quite right ;)
Infernal - have you wrapped packing tape arounb your hand to get the fur off
I have to also do the bedding.
*smug* Aussie thinks I'm right.
Lynxx you should see them covered in the stuff. Beyond using packing tape. And besides they have been up for about 2 years should give them a clean
We might be lucky to hit 32 degrees F.
lol Haz.... I know you are right Haz, it always gets done, in the end :)
brrr at 32f
You've considered shaving the cats? Or is that shutting the stable door?
LOL
Haz If i shaved pandora she would like like a hairless mole. As for Lucius good luck on actually getting him to sit still for five minutes
thinking **poor, nekkid kitties**
I can't imagine the cat that would allow itself to be shaved except under anaesthesia.
Hobbit has a shaved tail!
*gets knitting neeedles out to whip up some cat suits*
Whats wrong with Hobbit's tail Ata ?
there is a story coming.....
why does Hobbit have a shaved tail?
Poor Hobbit! What indignity has husband inflicted on her now?
**making tail warmer for Hobbit**
Note, always assume that anything bad for Hobbit is husband's responsibility.
after the shaving incident what else could possibly happen?
Haz Pandora likes to be bathed. I can clip there claws very carefully
she has an infected tail!
oh the poor love.
Have just read a Christmas Poem sent to me by a friend.... It's very humbling...... Can I share ?
Ok dare I even ask how that happened
{{Special Hugs for Hobbit}}
please do, aussie
Darn, have to go - have a call with a client due . Happy Babbling.
noooooo idea. just one of those dog things.
Not the gland problem?
bye FM
later mitch
Bye, FM.
Bye FM
It is rather long.... Is it ok to share ? Or should I post it to my profile ?
*Walk Like an Egyptian* great song by The Bangles to wake me up
If you put it in your profile, it means that people can access it later.
well, i've gone and done it......finished this b....... grid!!
glands were full and icky, and vet said maybe she was nibbling the end of her tail rather than managing to nibble the gland ar4. But I'm sure Hobbit isn't that silly!
lol Scrabs :) I love that song too....
Good idea Haz !
brb...
Beautiful grid, granny? Blessed grid?
I am playing The Bangles greatest hits and bopping here!
Beloved grid?
keep going ,haz....
Yahoo Rose!
WTG Granny
Hello everyone :-)
Darn, have to keep thinking of adjectives beginning with b.
YAY Granny !!!!!
hey zooz, didn't see you before
Here's zooz, poor neglected man.
ZOOOOOOOOOOZ !!
hi Zooz
Congrats Rose!
hi zooz
hi Zooz
beatifically beneficient
Poor zooz. I feel for him. NIghtly neglect.
Poem in profile.... thanks for the idea Haz....
whats this...a woamns meeting?...lol
No problem, Aussie. I'm always right.
womans*
*smug* See, I told you Haz :)
Men are allowed, Zooz. We promise not to talk about bras, monthly events, or menopause.
rofl zooz...
zooz, FM confessed that she gets herself over to sleep by reciting babbler's names. She usually gets to sleep by the letter d. It means she NEVER thinks of you.
I'd be offended.
brb.... Smurf wants an orange for her snack....
they are trying toguess the b word which i used to describe this grid. first decent sized one in ever so long...and it had to be a b...... grid
What's more, she never thinks of me.
she always thinks of me *smug*
I'm offended as well.
An early good morning, my friends ... she doesn't think of me either!
She is probably asleep way before she gets to the S's
oh hahahahaha..lol, that did make me laugh out loud...you wait untill FM comes back on here.
hi merk
Ooooo ... a longish grid for my Monday ... great!
I think we should form a petition to make sure that she starts her nightly round up at about 6.00 pm. She'll get us all in that way.
Hello, Merk
Hi Granny
opps Hi everyone I missed whilst trying to get a hair out of my eye
And Zooz
uuummmm, rethink that, merk
Hard grid?
Don't get too excited, Merk. Grannyrose didn't like this grid and the rest of us aren't exactly in love with it either.
oops ... a long day with a not so nice grid then.
I'd better look at it more closely.
I am happy its over 100 words
well i have only just started the grid, so itake it this is not going to be easy then...even though i have found an ai 8 already.
yup, merk, had to hit the list long before i usually do...of course it could be to do with the drugs....
*smug, knowing FM always thinks of me too* :)
They say that too much smug can be dangerous.
i suppose smug is better than smog..lol
morning, all -- my kingdom for an E!! :-)
yep, you can have too much of a good thing :)
It can lead to people harbouring suspicions.
Uneeeeeeeeeee !!
ROFL
ausssiiiieeemmmeeee!!!
hi Une and Merk
Hi Merk + Une
zooz, the 8's are easy peasy, it's the wretched 5's that got me
Hello, Une
Have an ec6 and enjoy that cream and chocolate concoction....
too much smug isn't dangerous! it's *great*
(((( une ))))))
Une, I was just thinking the same thing ... I need some e tiles from last week. Good morning anyway.
thanks for the warning, Granny
howdy, granny, haz, merk, zoom, scrabbs, lynxxx et al!! LOL
And you can have more than one, Haz.
Think of the waistline, Merk.
Hi back
tups
opps
But what difference is another ec6 going to make?
WB, Herin
hey, herin!
LOLOL, herin
Well I am rusty oppsy
the difference between another shot of insulin for me Haz :)
Oh, are you diabetic?
I have booked up all off my holiday so I am happy
I am Haz....
i'm with you haz, decided the other day that i like me the way i am, not how others want me to be.( including my doctor )
Perhaps we can cut it into fourths and I'll share with you Aussie.
phantom: implicit
Husband's aunt had a very funny way of talking. She once confided in us that her neighbour was a diabetic twice a day.
Her greatest fear was meeting him when he was in a coma.
good for you, Granny..best way to be.
Aussie I must tell you not to make diabetic muffins. They were horrid
I can have a Babble Ec6, they have no calories and no sugar !
haz, one of my mom's caregivers refers to it as "the sugar" . . . "she has the sugar" LOL
besides, himself says he likes the cuddly bits, ask herin
That's very true. I just started and 20 words and came to a grinding halt. What does that tell you? I think it's because I'm chatting ... I hope that's why.
mind you, himself is VERY cuddly
Nope no idea what you mean
I have 141 left, but I will finish later on..... After work....
That is the expression from a generation ago Une. My Grams said the same thing.
yeah . . .
well, you wouldn't call my figure an " elle" shape now would you, herin?
There seem to be more and more people having 'the sugar'.
Rose I would call you fine
love you herin, and bless you.
I have eaten too much pasta
You were right, the ai 8 was easy.
very true, haz
just thought... have not seen `lori p` on here for some time.
haz, mother mac, all of 90 years old, has just been diagnosed with diabetes, apparently cortisone induced
No, you're right, zooz, it's been a while.
better "sugar" than cooking she - I mean "mother's little helper"
I saw her quickly last week at some point
Is it going to have major implications for her, granny?
Rose will mother mac be more of a PITA?
I think Lori's maybe doing the grid but not chatting, but I'd need to look at rankings etc to be sure.
It says Lori is online....
am trying to be as relaxed about it as i can. problem is when anything else goes wrong, and her blood sugars are high, she takes that extra time to recover. keeping her BSL's down does help.
She did the grid yesterday.
Maybe she hates us all.
naw.... I am sure she doesnt.....
Maybe she has been promoted to MENSA and is too shy to tell us.
I think she must do
well at least she is ok.
maybe lori has no time to do talking and babbling
well, I neec to go for a while..... Have to sort some things out.....
Maybe she's worried about FM flinging those water-bombs.
dear old thing had her first heart attack 2 weeks ago, her heart actually stopped one night, but restarted of it's own accord. she asked the doctorwhy it did that, and was most disgusted when he answered, well you are 90, your heart is worn out!!!
Bye for now Aussie, good to see you.
I suppose Aussie will be getting her New Year celebrations under way.
aw, granny . . . hugs to you
nite aussie
Thats a disgussting thing to say to her.
bye, aussieme :-)
Pout. Snuggles and Bye bye Aussie
LOL, Haz
Some doctors need lessons in tact and diplomacy.
HI Zoo
agreed, zooz.i think it could have been said another way...
Hello, Herin :-)
too right , Haz
phantom: tapioca
Nah, got to do uniform ready for work this afternoon Haz ;)
err, cannot stand the stuff
Thank goodness tapioca is a phantom....
Aussie snuggles the smurffet for me

**poof**
looks like frogspawn
ausssie, don't tell me, ebay?
ohmygod, zoom, you're so right! LOL
darn, missed her!
yeah, ebay ! **real poof**
I once stayed with a family who were very keen that their children eat everything put in front of them. I thought it was a good idea (can't stand fussy, picky eaters) but got my comeuppance when we were presented with a plate of semolina for pudding. I ate it, but I deserved a medal for bravery.
so, zooz? close your eyes, man, close your eyes. and experience the taste
i do like semolina & jam :-)
semolina, yuck, yuck, yuck
LOL
mmmmmmm semolina
Any minute now, crossy will talk about bacon flavoured tapioca.
I love tapioca pudding, but now that I heard of frogspawn associated with it I may not be able to eat it again
true! LOL
bacon polenta - same stuff!
sorry scrabs..lol
Tapioca and jam was always known at school as frogspawn and blood. Appetising!
crossy here? is elegant too?
What is your semolina? pasta is made of semolina
I don't think he's here yet, granny.
Crossy must be frying up his bacon before he joins us
ok, pups have been very patient -- must go take them out to pee -- BBL! *poof*
My fav bread is made from semolina . I thought at first it had olive oil added to it but no
* giggle * were you here the first night elegant made her appearance?
same thing Scrabs durum wheat powder i suppose..lol
Semolina is a kind of wheat product but made with milk etc it becomes a horrible pudding.
nite une
Bunny Gandalf is thumping loudly above me. Something is alarming him.
Hi Babblers.. opening chat.. have been working on this grid and finding it more difficult than recent ones
*Correction* Nice pudding
The thought of tapioca is probably making the bunny ill.
Time for second mug of coffe--anybody want some?
join the queque, aloy
It is more difficult, Aloy.
tea please!
Helllo, Alloy
Hi Aloy. YOU must be the 1st on on FMs sleeper list
oops, over-zealous on the q's..
oh yes a cup of tea would be great.
zooz - you haven't grasped the essential. I'm always right - semolina is GHASTLY.
LOL
h'mm, that would make zooz the last?
thanx, scrabs, but bourbon for me, ta
Yes, zooz is last and never thought of. Never.
poor semolina. yum yum yum
tears are starting to well up here.
What we need is an alphabetical list of all babblers' names to work out the likelihood of being thought of by FM. We're bound to be able to work out betting odds.
my bottom lips is starting to curl.
zooz is 1 million to 1 against.
*is smugly safe unless she takes a sleeping pill*
LOL
so long as you dont trip over it, zooz
sa
last evening Hubby and I had about a 10 min. encounter with a young bobcat.. it was on our dockwalk.. so so cute. We "froze" when we saw it.. it froze too, finally sat and stared. So I called to it, "kitty kitty".. and it laid down! It got up, walked tentatively toward us, then decided that wasn't a good idea, turned and left.. but what an unexpected gift.. (-:
thanks for the simpathy Granny
She lives!
LORIKINS!
Lori!!!
wow Aloy
Come and say hello, Lori. We've been talking about you.
(((( lori )))))))
So neat, Aloy!!
how amazing!
Uh, ****blush*** G'd morning Babblers? :p
can see you Lori
LoriP, an error brings you out from lurkdom!
thats expert for you..it does that
are your ears burning, lori?
Hello, hello! You've been missed. You've been made Life President of Mensa and you're too shy to tell us, isn't that right?
This is true. Apparently my circumlurkulation needs work as well...
lol
omg, look at the time! nearly 11pm here, antibiotics kicked in, and NOW i'm hungry
AND a little birdie tells me that your Good Housekeeping book has sold millions. Is the promotion tour going well?
Rose go have the WHeatbix. I did that at 12am after my nap on Saturday
hmmmm, maybe, but the timtams look really gooooood
I'm doing the tour via webcam Haz, since lack of motivation keeps in theme with my book.
I just checked my e-mail and received yet another offer for colon cleansing. How did I get on their mailing list?
No rose tim tams not good. (ok who am i kidding i guts a big block of choc in 2 days)
scrabs, over 50?
What are timtams?
Just read your story , Aloy, sounds like a rare event.
Ah! You'll have got instructions on how to use the webcam from Anniebrook's excellent book on computer use. That's what I call cooperation.
It's disturbing when people want to know you inside and out, isn't it Scrabbler.
timtams are YUM!
Haha, Haz
LOL, Lori
I did turn 50 3 months ago--so I get placed on the colon cleansing list?
new ones here, honeycomb timtams
Husband had two invitations in his junk mail to throw up his career and turn to forensics. I think he'd be keen if all the others looked like the CSI women.
You had to tell me that
Annie and I should do a crossover book promo. Work all the angles.
hi good morning - i tune it at the strangest times - colon cleansing and tim tams
I get those CSI invitations too
Hi JBV
that does it, timtams win, brb
i think I saw Tim Tams in the supermarket here - are they chocolate covered jelly candies?
unexpected, zooz.. but we are fortunate to have them as residents... (hide your eyes, Scrabs)... they keep the bunny population down
lol, jbv
Hello, Jbv :-)
But WHAT are timtams? A pastry of some sort?
Mornin' JBV
the bunnies gobble up the garden and flowers otherwise
biscuit covered in chocolate, with gooey stuff in the middle
like our Penguins
Aloy, sadly I know that bunnies are meals for predators.
yes i just googled tim tams, they look YUMMY
Like an eclair?
hi LoriP! and Scrabbler, Ata, Aloy, zoom, granny, - who else is here?
Or cream puff?
hi JBV
Aloy, where in Florida are you?
no, more like oreos, but rectangular
and covered in chocolate
scrabs, at least you're getting ads for body parts you have, wish I could say the same
SW Scrabs, between Naples and Port Charlotte
sounds like a mallomar
hi jbv. i was here. now i'm lurking
i have never tried an oreo..must buy some today & give them a go.
hi kanet
http://tinyurl.com/dn4td7 TIm tams
hello, Kanet :-)
Aloy, I have a dear friend in Port Charlotte that I am thinking of visiting.
drool there is creme caramel
no kidding! soon, Scrabs?
ok, i must get some of this grid done, diving in... really nice talking to you all today...bye for now *SPLASH*
hey zooz.
mmmmmm, yummmmmm, seriously YUMMY.these ones are absolutely decadent
you all are making me hungry
Timtams look like a cookie, or maybe a Twix candy bar
Not listening Granny...lol
scrabs, imagine an inside-out oreo- with vanilla biscuit and chocolate stuff in the middle. make them oblong shaped adn cover in chocolate
I don't like air travel, Aloy, but I miss Joanie so may be brave in the next several months.
err cookies are biscuits here and I have been known to throw a massive tanty when i see the sign ANZAC Cookies.
did i say i am a chocoholic..and i am not joking..i can eat at least 10 bars a day plus
imagine a violet crumble or crunchie bar with a biscuit base....drool
YUMMY
There needs to be a diabetic warning on this log with all this chocolate talk.
I recently realized that I need to connect more with my "empath" friends. I am an "empath" to my friends but I need one for me.
I love dark chocolate!
My phantom is calico. There has got to be a ca 6 in there somewhere and I absolutely can't find it. I might have to resort to caffeine.
good job Aussie has left the babble chat..lol
be brave, Scrabs.. and keep me posted. Could take you on a gator "hunt" (captured on a camera).. (-: We have lots of the big ones.
Joanie is an "empath", a nurse that I worked with 12 years ago and then she moved to Florida.
lol, haz, and scrabs, the dark chocolate timtams are to die for...
there is merk, and it is a weird one
they do not sell tim tams in the UK :-(((
I have not visited her in maybe 9 years, Aloy. She was in Bradenton at the time, then moved south. Beautiful ar4. Selby Gardens at Christmas--wow!
Right, I have procrastinated long enough. I'd better shift myself and get some chores done. Just having Lori around has been motivation.
hmmm, must check out postage rates for UK
Bye Haz. Lori motivates and inspires us in so many ways.
later haz
Have never visited there, Scrabs.
I'll be back later to get this delightful grid completed.
same here, i need to get on.. take care Haz, nice chatting today...*poof*
they do, zooz!
Sarcastic font showing up?
Housework and I go together like death and taxes. I do what I can to inspire. Laters Haz!
ou just have to hit the right shops
Bye, Haz.. I'll probably see you later, this grid is a doozy
Toodle-oo!
You must drive up there, Aloy, especially now!
haz, delightful DOES NOT start with B
*unpoof*...where ATA?
bbl ... I'm going to brew some coffee
nite haz
tesco's *occasionally*
thanks for the idea, Scrabs!
bye everyone - be back later - good luck with the grid
local farm shops etc etc. next time I see some in our farm shop here, I'll grab you a packet!
It is in Sarasota, right on the water.
bye, JBV
cool i am going out now to buy a new fridge/freezer...will go and check for tim tams on the way.
Not literally ON the water.
nite jv
Bye JBV
lol, gotcha Scrabs
Good luck, Zooz
later jbv
wouldn't topiaric describe topiary?
happy shopping, zooz
it doesn't work, Ata?
letus know how you like the scrabs
seems logical, Ata
nope :(
ata, i think topiary is the adj. as well as the noun
annoying thing. it sounded really quite impressive!
oh and steer clear of the USA timtam cookies they are :(
agreed, ata
it's now 11pm.... i think i had better call it a night, so to speak. have fun, you lot. don't say i didn't warn you! this one should be rated skull and crossbones.
Sleep well, Rose.
later rose
night Rose
sweet dreams, granny
oh scrabs!
sister FINALLY has blood!
??? Ata, blood?
* poof * ( so lovely to see all of you, again )
they stuck a line in under her collarbone. she's on 8 units at the moment, and feeling much happier!
transfusion, aloy :)
ooh, didn't know Ata - so glad she is doing better, hope that continues
a very very belated transfusion due to all sorts of issues everywhere. much relief all round!
Well, I wondered why they didn't do that long ago, Ata? A subclavian venous line. Long term insertion of catheters are done for chemo.
Is she a twin, Ata?
Miss Bea Bunny just came hopping into this room.
looking for breakfast, maybe?
The bunnies go their salads 90 min ago. Maybe she finished it already. But, she usually stays near me when I am downstairs.
*got
good morning babble friends!
no, well actually we don't know, she might be! everyone's adopted in my family.
can you litter train bunnies? Hi Trifioso!
Hi Trif! I wanted to ask you for the name of that food book that you are reading. ___Truth?
they don't like giving her long-term lines, or really putting any surgical holes into her, because she can't heal. And then the wounds get infected etc etc. Her arm is still unhealed from problems she had with a PIC line ages ago now
the Unhealthy Truth, scrabbler, by Robyn O'brien
Oh, Ata. I connected with her on FB as she was suggested as a friend for me and she made a joke about being twins.
she's my twin in everything but blood :)
and yes, you can, aloy. though my bunny is rather lax about using his....
Ata, my bunnies are all litter box trained. It's easy with bunnies--they are smart!
TY, Trif
clearly scrabblers bunnies are superior! what can I say, I freecycled mine!
we look alike, think alike, are just so alike, same weird blood group, same all sorts of things. And we both tend to do that twin thing of responding physically to each other's angsts and pains etc
so hey - today is my last day of sloth - start work tomorrow! :)
Miss Bea was a foster bunny that I acquired when she was over a year old. Gandalf was also a rescue bunny.
new job, Trif?
later gaters.
yup.
awww bunnies :)
Then that's what she referred to, Ata, and she told me to ask you.
bye, herin..
Bye Lady
first time I am working for pay in ten years, so I am WICKED nervous, but happy too.
bye herin - love you!!!!
congrats, Trif!
It is a big step for you, trif.
A step towards independence, self-sufficiency, freedom
I made a huge break through with her a few days ago, and finally got her to consider going back to her psychiatrist and asking for some attention and some drugs that will actually help her. Normally she refuses to see that she could benefit from such things
yes, but I am trying to not be too scared, and welcome the change. it is weird though, having to say "oh, gee, I can't, I have to work...." I am gonna miss Primo's first swim meet this season - never missed one before! but he is fine with it
wonderufl Trif! doing what??
*haven't found a word in 10 minutes*
oh, well done, ata! So glad you were able to make that break through with her! I know she has been much in your heart, this past hospital stay....
It's ok to be scared, Trif, but soon your confidence will be rising.
makes me feel better, Scrabs.. am staring a lot, seeing yellow squares
Better living through psychopharmacology!
I am going to be a clinician/tutor at a learning center for people (children, teens, adults even) with cognitive language issues - helping them decode, comprehend, and express themselves better.
best part - no math!!!
I found a word! I decided to try a word beginning with a vowel.
she's been on seroxat for ages (spit! hiss! horrid drug!) but she's never even been offered any real anti-anxiety / mood stabilising help, and she so desperately needs it
how wonderful!
lol, you are on a roll, Scrabbs
rock on scrabbler! or, rather - HOP on, in your case! :)
Is that sertraline, Ata?
Or what we call Seroquel--induces sleep at bedtime.
I have had good luck with Lexapro for anxiety, ata, if that means anything....
paroxetine
oh, that's paxil here
Yep, Paxil
but her dr put her on that about 7 years ago, and simply hasn't considered anything better ever since. annoying man
*amused that I recalled that words do sometimes begin with vowels*
ata, do know that paxil is one of the hardest drugs to get weaned off of - can take MONTHS
All SSRIs are like that
flashing back to earlier conversation re tapioca and other icky foods . . . WhatTheDevil.com is offering a 5 pound gummy bear for those seeking a giant Xmas Treat!
how the hell does one even approach eating a five pound gummi bear?
(sorry, know that was a big subject change!)
I have always wondered what gummis are made of--remind me of boogers
I doubt any dr would try and take her off paroxetine now. her body couldn't deal with it. but if they could only give her something else as well that would stop her having huge anxiety attacks every blooming day. I'm going to go with her and make sure the psych guy understands how stressed she is constantly!
trif, you'll have to ask the brits -- it's not a USA product (believe it or not!)
gums and colours and sugars!
hmmm - atavan maybe? though sounds like some BDT therapy might be a good thing too
lol, Une.. for the gummy bear addict who has everything.. and does the five lb gummy bear come in different flavors?
hello all!
Corn Syrup, Gelatin, Carnuba Wax, Vegetable Oil, Sorbitol, Sugar, Flavourings.
Oh, dear, my Babble buddies. I must get ready for work. I am at the Indian Reservation Clinic every Monday and my drive is longer. I will miss all of you. Hi + bye Enomis.
anxiety attacks are terrible, I'm so sorry she suffers from them
if necessary, I'm going to just pay for her to come down and see someone here I trust absolutely for a few sessions and who will actually listen to her and look at all her drug treatments.
have a lovely day, dear!
8 flavors, aloy!
bus stop run - be back in a few!
bye Scrabbler.. hagd!
bye, scrabs!
anxiety attacks are *awful*. I used to have them so badly that I'd actually black out. Which is how I *know* she can be helped if someone actually takes the time to do it
so, one of each flavor = 40 lbs of gummy bears!
aloy, eeeewwww! LOL
sorry to hear that , Ata.. my sister suffers from them
poor Aloy's sister :( not fun at all. people don't realise how awful they can be
scary when you can't get your breath
Heyas from China kids ..
on rare occasions i've had anxiety attacks accompanied by my hands cramping into claws -- just awful
oh gosh!
ooh, Une.. hope it doesn't happen again
very weird, goes along with motion sickness
very embarassing in the middle of a flight!
Maybe that could use some punctuation: "Heyas from China, kids."
so, you don't go on cruises?
don't mention motion sickness *horrors*
TOR!!
have you tried those little patches that go behind your ears?
aloy, i get motion sickness on a kiddie float! LOL
tor!!!!
lol ditto, Une
hi torgone!
aloy, i can take something like Dramamine . . .
I saw TimTams mentioned earlier. I just put some in my bag to take to work with me. Oh, those things are so good. I have to hide them so the boss doesn't find them and eat them all.
brb, seeking more coffee..
hey tor! good flight?
at least dramamine works for you!
mmmm TimTams! Good subject revival :)
never heard of timtams . . .
Long but good .. That's what she said ..
tor LOL!!!
where would we be without Tor to lower the tone
ha! eat some hot pot for me while you're over there
Dark chocolate, caramel and original chocolate cream. I have them all. They are only available here until March.
mmmmmm so so good
It's been a while since I've spent 12 hrs. on a plane but it wasn't too bad ..
I do what I can, Ata ..
was it AIr China?
london - sydney is 23ish hours
Asiana .. One I hadn't heard of before .. pretty decent ..
london - auckland is 26 hours!
phew. I've heard sooo many horror stories about Air China! But mainly their domestic flights
i'm sure most kiwis would rather do that than spend the night in sydney
many years ago, a friend flew from Sydney to Los Angeles -- and her baby threw up on her in the first hour of flight!
so where are you in China? tell us what exciting things your'e going to see
ditto what ata said!
well, from here, josh, you stop at HK / KL and then fly on either to Aus or NZ. No stopping in Aus if you go to NZ
my plane from london to sydney stopped off in UAE for a few hours
I'm in Qingdao .. The most exciting thing I'm going to see is the inside of a compost sorting facility ..
ooohhh, this is work-related?
yeah, there's a good few stop over points from dubai to HK, but they all stop somewhere in the east
Unfortunately yes .. work work work ..
aaahhh
unless you fly Air Kiwi which goes via LA
compost! mmmmm
they gotta let you go see something cool!
It doesn't get much more romantic and thrilling than that ..
i'm going back to bed. don't know why i woke up at 3:30am anyway. : / later gators
later, kanet
ttfn kanet
Niters kanet77 .. Nice to see you sticking around ..
tor, is there something special about Chinese compost?
hey tor.. good thing the great firewall of china didn't block babble, eh? ; ) too bad there's no fb/twitter/youtube/etc. *poof*
Not really .. They take some of the household waste headed for the landfill, and turn it into compost instead ..
and you just had to go and see the processes for yourself?
The job of our equipment is to break up and remove the plastic bags, then get out the stuff that's not compost ..
that's clever
Yeah .. They have not been able to obtain a budget for next year because the plant is not operating proprly yet, and I'm the lucky boy who got to come over here and make it all right ..
make sure you eat disgusting things so you can report back to us
I can't type proprly ..
The food has all been pretty good so far ..
try harder :) we at least want testicle soup or something!
sorry i only have 1 left and the weekend is coming up;)
Even I have limits .. I did eat pigs' feet at dinner tonight ..
oooo. wonder what Liz and I will get to eat in Nepal ...
pigs trotters can be yummy
crossy!
ata;)))
nepalese food is lovely
You're probly more likely to get testicles in Nepal I think ..
quite probably ...
oooo is it? cool!
testicles are NOT lovely - totally the wrong texture
not what i imagined at all
are there any nepalese restauarnts in london?
can we please move on from the testicle soup?:/
there are a few
lol
China does not block babble anymore, but it does block Lickety because it does not like the linked word lists, I think. Filters can't distinguish dictionaries from dangerous words in context.
and a few nepalese/indian restaurants
hmmm. will have to go find them
http://www.london-eating.co.uk/cuisine s/nepalese.asp
Well, I'm going to take mine and head for bed .. Sorry to barge in and barge out ..
lol oh great. all in *really* odd places
If anybody asks, tell them torgone says "Hello."
Good night ..
TORGONE!!!! you are here!
night tor!
good night!
damn bus stop run! I missed tor! :(
he'll be back
brb soooo cold need tea!
steaping some now ata;)
rail
.. back.. lost internet for a bit.. maybe a sign I should stop and get to the Post Office early. Will be back later to tackle this grid some more.. bye for now.. poof
my net is being difficult as well,no messanger, and i had to get to babble by directly typing in the url and not through the expert shortcut
mmm back with tea and oatmeal
bah, give the oats to the horse and let me make you a nice fluffy omlette ata
i'll have one of those too!
I do love oatmeal, with sultanas and apple and cinnamon and things
i envision a 3 cheese omelette with some finely diced green or yellow pepper or maybe some fresh mushrooms
mushrooms!
shroomies;)
looooove mushrooms
so,fresh you can almost hear them chuckling
i look a bit like a mushroom
in what way exactly? and what sort of mushroom?
i look like an inverted mushroom:/
just a regular closed cap mushroom
i look like a cross between a mushroom, a turtle and jack nicholson
how ... unusual
well,jack can be unusual
one day i'll post a photo and you can see for yourself
I think you should after that!
awww no alpacas
sorry ata,i dont usually add alpacka to my omeolettes
darn typos
bet it would taste good though!
gm all you all
hi Jean

GM People
Morning all. I'm trying to avoid driving this AM, we got about 2 inches of snow and theres a lot of black ice (and accidents) out there they claim
it's certainly not the easiest
stand on one foot and spin around 3 times
it will look totally different
good morning all, found an 8 all by myself!!
oh, and you have to be naked
then stay with me nef,and we shall explore the mysreties of the grid together!!
stay inside and safe, nef!
Hello again (dizzy from spinning around)
I tried the spinning around naked 3 times and the puzzle looks the same
Please, Esprit! It was bad enough dressed! ;-)

howdy ata!! and welcome to da grid;))
Hi Ata
tea and oatmeal is NOT helping ... hmmmm
Mitochondria is not in the grid. (I need coffee; I thought that was an 8 letter word!)
u need more than coffee then!
It works! Just found ai8---location of oxygen
ditto plasmids
yay annie!
nice ata
hi Ata, hego, Annie, etc. (I *think*I'd already said hi to crossy and Esprit; but if not: hi!)
Hi Nef
Hi Nef
I think my brain is still reeling from watching the stupidity of Angels and Demons last night
Thanks, Annie. I found your ai 8
Yay I got it too.
tivel, are you here?
any hints for J words? (trying for NBT before I leave for work)
no idea re J words!
no J's here
wow, that's tough Nef.
that corner is giving me trouble on the NBTs. I haven't found any words for the 2 A's, the E or the J yet
NM, found an A! :-D
ja5/22 sounds like a wild animal
ja + over the holidays watch your ***orie intake
Never knew you could spell it like that.
THANKS, tce!
thanks!
and pl it for another
(in the southwestern U.S. and Mexico) a hut with a thatched roof and walls consisting of thin stakes driven into the ground close together and plastered with mud
lots of phantoms today.
Yup
ja5/22 ... a tuberous root,
more phantoms than words, in my case, and the words I have found might as well be phantoms, for all they are recognizable to me!
and pl, of course
J's jugged!
wtg, Nef
well, enough playing around. Gotta go clear the snow to go to work.
bye Nef, be careful
Bye Nef
bye all. Happy Babbling! (I'll be careful. I want to findish this grid if nothing else! ;-)
jeez . . . only halfway so far . . .
Hi Une!
hey, annie! :-)
my daughter's had a nice visit with her friend and new baby in Brooklyn -- you may have seen her out running in the park! LOL
does anyone have both of the u's? I am wondering if they both have the same first 2 letters?
have up4/6 . . .
trif , I only have one U -up4
okay, and I have up 5, so that answers that! thanks!
Both up
oh, and up5/14
"glowing from below"
there is an ec 8...
got them both - ta ladies!
yay, trif!
Hi Kallia
hi all
hey, kallia :-)
yes, that is a horrible way to be illuminated, btw, une - don't ask for it, if you are ever onstage....shows every flaw!
hi Kallia
but nice for plants :-)
oh, i mean, not that you would have any! geesh, I really just stepped in it....sorry!
trif, FYI my mom did the lighting for local theater productions for years and years :-)
LOL
LOL Trif...I have many flaws
your mom would understand, then
including when Cab Calloway came to town for a performance!
heidy heidy heidy ho!!!

ai, mi, ec any idea for the other 8?
only have the ai
oohhh, and the mi -- thanks!

Longer break than I intended ... breakfast and then decided to get the laundry started.
Hi Merk
hey, merk -- i'm off for a bit as well -- might as well get some Xmas baking done -- heat repair people not coming for several hours (and warmer in kitchen!)
Hi, hego and everyone. Grannyrose said earlier that the 8s were easy and with your clues, they sure are.
Unfortunately, no cookie baking for me this year. Most of my family can not eat them and it just tempts the rest of us.
baking pies for my mom's caregivers -- a sure crowd pleaser! LOL
Yes, indeed.
good morning all
Hi boo!
ec7/36, ec8/50
ec7---ec, not bottom and Spanish aunt t** and plural for the 8
ai 8 please
Hi team....ai 8 is location of oxygen

youre welcome
ai8/50 - Miss Hilton's head.
having trouble with ec 7/36
lol haz
Hi Haz, very funny
Hello! I shouldn't really be here, I should be heading down town but I might as well find a few words.
Annie will remember my acute admiration for Miss Hilton and her ilk.
Hi Haz!
hi all
Hi jmc
I shouldn't be here either. I should be standing in line in the bank.
Hello, hego and jmc.
hi jmc
hi jmc
Haz why is Miss Hilton on your mind today?
Blame pa5 being in the grid.
Otherwise I wouldn't give her a second thought!
Oh! lol
god know, pa5 has never had a though twice
Hego gets it!!\
yes, Annie
thought
This grid hasn't improved any since the last time I glared at it.
i don't get it -- guess i am an ai8 (if I only had ai8)
nope just have ai8 in my head
If I dont get a move on I will be here all day. I have a conference in Bobby's workshop tomorrow ( I usually hear good things) and I must get gifts for his supervisors. Bye dear babblers.
There will be no improvement for this baby.
ai8/50 - room to breathe?
lol good clue haz
Bye Annie!
Bye, Annie, nice to see you.
bye annie
bye annie
Better get started. Bye All.
bye hego
Bye for now, hego.
Hello, all.
Hello, Vicuna!
hi vic
I grow weary of this grid, and I haven't even reached halfway. Not a good sign.
You'll not have heard FM's secret, Vicuna.
No I haven't. Tell!
*leans in to hear*
You'll probably weep when you realise the implications.
*reaching for handkerchief*
When she can't get to sleep, she mentally names all babblers starting from a and working through.
She usually gets to about c or d.
lol - I hope she never makes it to Vicuna!
lol poor vic!
good morning, kind of a big one today, eh?
Which means that smug Ata is thought of often. You, on the other hand, never feature.
zooz was practically inconsolable this morning.
compared to the ones we have gotten lately harp
After all, if the early-letter Babblers put her to speel, not doubt the thought of my fascinating personality would wake her right back up again. Heh.
Hello, harpjane.
*put her to sleep*
The irony is that she tackles the grid from z to a.
Hello, harpjane.
FM should consider doing a reverse alphabet or ata will get a swelled head
Care to sign a petition to have her reverse her usual sleepy time routine?
Too late for that, jmc! ;D
well there is that vic! lol
No, no, Haz. Those boring early-alphabet folks are just the ones she needs to send her straight to sleep.
*giggle*
(Worrying now about how early in the alphabet you have to be to be considered boring)
(Well, of course my real name begins with A, so I'll argue that this rule is valid only for Babble names.)
speaking of early in the alphabet -- I haven't seen BR in ages
am I just missing him?
Oh, I caught a glimpse of him just yesterday, I think. Maybe the day before, but recently in any case.
He hasn't been around as much as usual, jmc.
But true, not as omnipresent as usual.
I hope that means things are so wonderful he hasn't the time for us
He probably solved this in about 3 minutes 15 seconds and took himself off.
mornin babblers!
Hello, EvaN!
Hello EvaN!
hi eva
how are we all today?
i am well
We are scintillating, naturally.
and you?
We are expressing reservations about the niceness of this grid. There have been complaints.
I give it thumbs down.
the first 1/3 seems pretty nice -- does it sneak up on you?
i am doing well. and i usually have reservations about the niceness of the grids...heh
of course I have yet to obtain even nbt
I'd compare it to being stealthily mugged.
It has not been flowing for me, and I usually have flow until at least 2/3 through.
I better go find my flack jacket
I made it through all of the a and c words and am about to tackle the s ... if they stand still long enough.
hi merk
Hello, Merk. Man, I have a lot of a's and c's still to go!
Hi jmc ... I've been lurking with my nose to the grindstone. I have lots of laundry and housecleaning to get done today.
alas I must toddle off to work soon myself
I got 10 minutes before I must hit the dusty tr5
I suppose I should give myself about 10 more minutes, too.
help with the j please?
I'm afraid if I don't finish while I'm hot, I won't get back here later.
ja5/22 - sounds like desert canine, and pl
ja5/22 - ja plus first letters of Arnie's state.
*turns up the heat for merk*
And then plural.
ja5/22 - sound slike start of old car, and pl
ja5/22 - ja plus one circuit of a race track, and plural.
ty jmc
ty ty you guys are so helpful!
Just wait till you see your clue bill at the end of the year.
lol, Haz. Do you charge by the clue, by the letter, or the minute?
hints for the M or the W?
lol good thing i have an inheritance coming from Mother to pay for it
hope it is enough!
By the clue, extra charged if it has to be explained.
be-wa4 the darkness of the night!
mi8 put in the wrong location and not be able to find
so do i only have to pay for the clues I request?
Yup, it is.
hi hursh
mi6/24 - forget all your lines and make a total hash on stage.
mi6 - perform the play wrong
mi7 - use the comb in the wrong palce in your hair
*place*
Yes, you only pay for the clues you request. You get discount if there are plurals involved.
Aaargh, pb for me!
do i get credits for the clues i give?
Some men with combovers obviously are fine examples of to mi7.
and do i get credits for bringing new blood into babbleland?
Yes, if you give clues you get credits as well.
*gets out calculator*
i don't think we can do credits for referrals. then we'd have to evaluate quality and it could get ugly.
good clue there, haz. :)
No muscling in on my morewords worldwide representative status.
Hello, hursh.
TY, got all the Ms and the W (which, really, you should all fish me for not seeing!)
hello, vi.
And paypal's mine as well. (For encouraging people to go pro - you can use paypal!)
how about for the supplies for the pb?
help with the O for nbt
That's a good point, hurshy, evaluation of new babblers and quality of clues will have to be put to a committee.
op4 - gemstone, and pl
oct birthstone
ok, hints for the A and U in the bottom row?
heck that is my mother's birthstone
Happy Monday, world Babblers.
up5 - illuminated from below
i was wondering about that -- sometimes people give some pretty cryptic clues
up4 - babblet
ai8 is from bottom
nbt and I am off to save the world!
Go, jmc, go!
if you violate certain ai8 the ai* force will shoot you down
Yes, but some people like to give and some people like to get cryptic clues. Others don't. Cryptic clues earn extra points.
got the A, TY. still not seeing the UP4, but its short, so it will reveal itself to me soon, im sure. :)
up4 ends with simile word
i was being polite. I don't actually mind cryptic but the ones with missing letters or letters transposed and otherwise just wrong
bye all
*poof*
ahh, there we go. got the UP4. thats NBT and NBS for me! :)
Bye, jmc. S** you s**n.
Bye, jmc!
Take your triumph while you can, EvaN. Prepare for the slog to get the rest.
Finished the s words, 17 to go.
oh, i fully expect a slog, Haz. most days i dont have much time to babble, so NBT and NBS are my main goals. :)
I know the no blank tile thing but what's the NBS?
no blank stats. :)
i'm stuuuuck.
So, at least one representative from each of the length things?
At least one from each of the letter lengths available - does that sound better?
it does
egg-zachary
Do you feel tr5/12 and less than ra4/5, hurshy?
Okay, now I understand.
So are the to 6/7 something we wear walking in this bitterly cold weather we're having?
kinda. but, i do have a very nice mitty kitty, so that helps the emotional state.
They're just things that working men would have on their boots.
yay, i hadn't got those yet
Oh, thanks. I never see those.
To protect their feet while on the job?
I like my idea better ... sounds warmer.
Yes, often made of metal.
any ce?
No, none.
Oh, I'm done! No, not any ce words
... so Fireworks!
Well done, Merk!
Yay for Merk!
I guess it's time to be productive for a bit. Bye for now, all.
And it only took me four hours ... not counting making and eating breakfast, talking on the phone, changing bed linens, doing tons of laundry ....
Bye, Vicuna.
That brings it down to 4 minutes.
Hah
It's just one of those grids that needs picked apart with tweezers.
I guess I'd better finish what I started so I can clean house and finish wrapping Xmas presents. See you tomorrow.
Bye, Merk - enjoy the day!
ty, I hope so. Tata
I should go as well, I have errands to run and the dreaded post office queue to face.
Bye to all!
Alpo! Alpo! Alpo! Trying to stop typing that.
yay! just found out my friends had their baby this morning! Liam Quesenberry Brooks entered this world at 7:35 am, weighing in at 7 Pounds 4 Ounces and measuring up at 20.25 Inches
congratulations to Eva's friends
I love the name "Liam".
good morning everyone and Congratulations to your friend
good morning Flosey, Eva, and Judi
i love that name too. and im especially glad they chose that, knowing they were also really liking the name Logan, since dear Fiance + i had agreed on that as a potential baby name for us, if/when the day ever came. ;)
One of our officers has a daughter named Logan. Very nice as well.
Does the ec 7/8 start with the external root?
don't know Judi, I don't have it. Sorry
yes
Ty, smaller. That's half the battle. Have no clue about the other half though. Erg.

Hiya, Flosey. Sorry, don't have it yet.
TY mom. i LOVE it. :)
sorry Flosey, not there yet
:) have you set a date, Eva
I feel so out of the loop, it seems like ages since I have been on Babble
we are hoping for next year, october. methinks a lot of that will depends on when the venues have available dates!
thought it was a long time since I've seen you Mom
good morning folks
yes, Flosey, darn life keeps getting in the way.
Good morning Feather
Heya, Feather1

October's a good month, Eva. (From a person who has an Oct. 5th anniversary). Any later and the weather gets too dicey.
daughter has picked Oct 2
we married Jan. 8, and the Church was still decorated with the Christmas flowers.
al + Arnold's state abv + **e cream cone
there was a blizzard when we got married, 95 was shut down in th south and we were going to Fla. to honeymoon lol
you were the one with the christmas stockings behind you then mom?
Gahh! Surprised they didn't remove the poinsettas for a wedding.
smaller, fill in the blanks, substituting l for r - or think of the word describing place where old papers are kept
i am hoping for October 16, but if i find a place i like, i will take any october date they have available!
SeaSpray -- where in MD are you from?
lolol judi
oh! duh. now they both make sense. thanks!
lol Ruru, pretty close
Westminster, west of Baltimore
ahh, i was just up that way a few weeks ago. :)
oh no, the poinsettias were beautiful. The men wore grey tuxes and my dress was ivory and the ladies wore ivory blouses with long burgundy velvet skirts.
where are you getting married eva?
not quite sure yet. still looking for a reception venue. once we find that, we will find a church nearby that will let us bring our own pastor.
ahh, so you know the area
oh mom, that sounds beautiful
but somewhere in the MD area, since thats where we live. :)

how's the grid today?
hi Stid. Ugh
oh oh, that bad lynxxx?
how about the conversations? I see something about bacon and marzipan (strange combo, but to each his own)...
It's OK if you have time
I have time, my cold is improving, but my back hurts so the housework and shopping I had planned can wait another day.
how are things down your way, lynxxx? I shall assume it's not raining on top of a layer of melting ice?
it's horrid!
hm. a little late, atalante! I am down to 177... LOL
We've actually had a bit of rain over the last couple of months, our dams are only at 38% (lowest in Aust) but still higher than last year. Only a few hot days so far - 38 this Wednesday but only for 1 day. Have you been copping all the snow and cold Stid?
we are not bad here today -1 celcius and we have all the roads scraped off;)
i keep forgetting lynxx, water is always a problem for you guys9shortage that is)
38 for a single day isn't bad. It's up to 4 here now, was just at freezing at midnight, but warmed up slowly since then. We are supposed to stay above 0 for the next few days at least
that's not bad cross. Our side road never gets treatment, but the main road had been sanded when I drove the kid up to school
I need some help with the top row E please?
I am glad you are getting some rain, lynxxx, wish it could be more for you.
CAR!!!!! *faint*
Never used to be so much Crossy, guess thats Global Waming effect
Hello darling Stidmama!
crossy wishes he could send lynxx some of out georgian bay water
ec6/7 yummy french cakes
One of my favorites!!!! How did I miss them?!?!?!
an pl it
*sigh* wishes for ec7s, contents with yummy pecan and cherry "fruitcake" from Mother
ec7/8 ec & not bottom and a couple of vowels
crossy loves ec 7/32,s;))
now I don't need any more from that E! thanks lynxxx
TY!
Sorry to hear about your cold and your back Stid. :-(
ty lynxx that gave me the 8/50 as well;))
thanks car, so was I! LOL but getting better. I think it's my body's way of forcing me to rest, since classes ended on Friday.
Ahhh...rest....that would be good!
I must be the only person ever who doesn't like ecs
my mrs does not like them ata
I like the homemade kind, Atalante, not the store-boughten ones.
I don't believe Kadresa likes them either...has to do with the custard filling...
how are you car? staying warm and comfy?
she has good taste!
custard? got to be fresh cream!
I just don't like either choux pastry or that sort of cream!
STRESSED OUT!!!!!!!
lynxx, you take the fresh custard and mix it 50/50 with whipped cream
oh oh... *hands car some yummy tea and a snickerdoodle*
nooooo only fresh cream
Ty stid...every bit helps!
not me, just whip the cream nice and thick
what the itallians used to call chantilly filling
you folks DO realize that all this talk of custards is making me hungry???
poor Car, can we do anything
lol,poor stid
I just need strength and a clear head and heart...something I am not too good at.
(((((car))))) you can do it. Take it one small piece at a time, and recognize progress as you move along.
car,in all thigs no matter how chaotic, always remembet to take care of yourself first
creme de chantilly is yummy
indeed ata,we used to put it in the canoli,s
My kids are going to be sad...there is nothing I can do to take that away from them and as a mom it is kiling me.
Heya, Babblers!
howdy beach!!
that is true, car. you can't. but you CAN be here for them and acknowledge sadness and help them to know what to do with the emotion.
hey beach!
hi Beach
But I don't even know what to do with my own emotions right now!
ah. that makes it tough. (((more hugs)))
Hello Stidmama, you and I are both suffering from bad colds? Mine is in my chest and it hurts when I cough.
I made some chicken soup. That is what my Mother always made for us when we were sick. Sure cure, she said.
rumple! (((hug))) yes, mine is in my chest and I had so much trouble with breathing yesterday. I am sorry you have the same.
Did the soup work?
It really does help. It feels so good going down your throat and warms up your chest.
I will get a can of soup out of the cupboard when I am ready for lunch then.
OOOhh; got a cold, here, too
how about everything else? cows okay? kids okay? dogs okay?
ah, the babblers DO
DO like to share, beach! clues, choclits, colds...
Wow, it is really hitting the Babblers. We need a "cold" hotline.
And I am drinking orange juice by the gallons. Never too much Vitamin C
Stid, do you mean me? Yes, the dogs are fine and the cows have those nice long hairy coats. They love the cold.
I ate a whole orange on Saturday, unusual for me, the acid doesn't agree with my skin. Sure tasted good though!
Clue for AL 6/7 combo please?
is the M fishy?
Kind of...all start with the same 3 letters
funny thing for me; I can eat oranges; love them, but can't drink the juice. Gives me a stomach ache
M's all start with 'incorrect' 6,7 & 8
got one! thanks car!
BRB...bus!
al6/7 take the pa out of peruvian animal and add most of frozen water
thanks also lynxxx.... looking for the 6 apparently now.
that is an intriguing word, lynxxx!
odd word!
adj. Of, relating to, or being a verse form used in Greek and Latin poetry, consisting of strophes having four tetrametric lines. n. Verse composed in strophes of four tetrametric lines.
M is grey!
I am missing so many S & Ps
hm. I am teaching a short unit to a 6th grade class on Wednesday... I wonder if this would be a good one to scare them with? *evil mama look*
I think so!
actually we are going to write micro-lit... "twitter stories" 140 characters or less. And they thought it was tought to write 5 paragraph essays!!! *cackle*
cooool!
I think it will be fun, and a nice change of pace to go from the usual pre-holiday fare to something a little outlandish.
I found some copyright free "frames" to use to mount their best selections, so there will be a bit of an art element to it as well.
and then play Chinese Whispers with the stories to see what results you get!
oh what a fun idea! might be something we can do at the end of the time period just before they get on the bus.
I'll check with the teacher
we always used to do that in the last lessons of term, for some reason!
okay, help with the A on the bottom row?
ai8.50 compound, what planes need
thanks lynxxx
got it!!!!
and a couple others, of course!
BBL a little too noisy around here, think Stew and I will go for early walk
later lynxxx, have a lovely walk
up to 93 now, and need one more letter for NBT
which one?
J of course... I figure they are all JA words, but ... *sigh*
ja + arnie's state
and pl
Yippee!!! NBT! thanks Atalante!
yay stiddy
I kept trying "jalisca and jalisco" and they didn't work
I did too
100 words acquired, 123 to go!
I am tired. I think I will go lie down and take a nap before I fold clothes and such.
Thanks for the help and the conversation. See you-all again soon!
*poof*
hey ata?
hi!
is our last lexulous game still showing up as active in your list? it is on mine. i emailed the site people...
let me look
yes, it is
is very weird.
mmmm tis rather!
hi all
question - the christmas special of DW says "part 1" - any indication when we get "part 2"???
we get it the day after I think
hi jmc
oh phew, not a long suspense then.
what about TW? any word on when we get more of it?
what is chinese whispers?
filming next year I think
how long does it take from filming to showing?
thought that might be chinese whispers
depends
errrmmm how on earth do you explain Chinese Whispers
stupid duggers, she is popping out yet another kid..that makes 19
sorry to always ask hard questions
In the game variously known as Chinese whispers,[1] Telephone, Broken Telephone, Whisper Down the Lane, Gossip, Arab Phone (from the French Le téléphone arabe), and Stille Post (Silent Post), the first player whispers a phrase or sentence to the next player. Each player successively whispers what that player believes he or she heard to the next. The last player announces the statement to the entire group. Errors typically accumulate in the retellings, so the statement announced by the last player differs significantly, and often amusingly, from the one uttered by the first. The game is often played by children as a party game or in the playground. It is often invoked as a metaphor for cumulative error, especially the inaccuracies as rumours or gossip spread,[2] or, more generally, for the unreliability of human recollection.
she is an argument for forced sterilization
ooo telephone! I thought that might be it.
I think it should be spelled spair since have a pa4 and a spair
more like, she's an arguement why religious beliefs can be so increadibly stupid
indeed
he must just hve a running appt with her family doctor every week
she
i think it's sad her newest is so premature
well common sense dictates that she should stop popping them out every single year
Don't be so quick to judge others. My dear friend has 13 brothers and sisters. It is a wonderful and dear family.
I just hope they do well, and that whatever happened has made her sterile, because otherwise her "religion" will have her continuing to get pregnant until menopause or she dies.
you may be right robbie, but it still seems excessive
I have mi 7 and 8 what is the last one
mi 6
ty
I have seen how wonderful large families can be and how they help each other.
and I have seen how the children have been neglected and unloved in large families where the parents are too busy having babies to take care of the ones they have
personally having grown up bathing in used bath water I am not a fan
THeir kids are cared for... but only because the oldest 4 girls are really raising them. Once she's done breastfeeding and pregnant again she hands them off.
that is sad jmc, but that is not true of all large families
well that is a wonderful childhood for the 4 older girls
i have seen the same, mot to mention the strain on the medical resources,we are in a area that has a severe dr shortage,we are lucky, but there are many i know who have to go to walk ins or emerg for everything
i'm sure the older girls feel differently than you
and you know that how robbie?
I'm kind've bizarely fascinated with this family. I remember one of their 1st specials and the then 12 year old was so super excited about the new house -- because of the great new stove she'd have.
small families can suck, large families can suck
Hi all. I'm with jmc
Robbie, big families can be great, but this one follows the ideas of a man called Bill Gothard. Look it up. Very scary.
you got it Ata...my small family sucked
i think i will go back to talking to military members who want the hell out
*poof*
whereas my small family is wonderful :)
thinking about it though, it may very well be just like it used to be a hundred years ago - and those people grew up just fine
pros and cons for each i suppose
Look wgat you started, Crossy!
just because these kids don't live like today's kids, doesn't mean they aren't loved, cared for, and leading productive lives
Uh what
Hi all, good evening
im sorry no matter how you slice it,19 kids is insane
Hi NB
need help with re 7/36 , the second one, before the black gold term
but your right back to babble and bacon;))
there is something to be said about teaching your kids everything about how to grow up and do things yourself - cooking, cleaning, child rearing. I could've used those skills myself! I learned on my own AFTER I moved out.
100 years ago that woman would've been dead with her 2/3rd children because of her medical problems!! I hate that "100 yrs ago" thing! for every woman with lots of kids, plenty died with the first one!
black and gold?
i'm not talking about the 19 kids, just their way of life.
Une, is taht a clue?
i think 19 is excessive too
what was the black and gold re7 please?
add high sulfur fossil fuel
black gold is what they mined from underground , the co4
it doesn't necessitate that the kids are unloved though
capo
all families are different - there's no hard and fast rules about how many kids are enough
sorry
tx inge!!
time for a break
recgot, thanks
thx Harry! ;)
I agree firefly
Gosh, only 55 left - how did that happen?
but, i think she is pushing herself too far
physically
sure, she should have the children God gives her, but she should have the sense to make her own decision when her body is giving out (and I think it truly is)
she won't do her surviving children any favors by dying in her 20th childbirth - if she chooses to keep going
at that point, i think she's being selfish and overzealous
well, I regret not having more children. How sad is that.
spaniels are better :)
adopt, foster, volunteer somewhere that has needy children
I give up, can anyone clue the a5,10 pls?
a + not fake
I give up, the ca 6/7 clue
lol Ata ..I have 2 spaniels;-)
al5/10 another name not your own
tx hurshy. Blows a kiss.
tc garrett
ata - how was your visit to your sister?
tiring :)
any progress on the surgical front? or still just... waiting
she's got her blood! yay! well, mostly
ca 6/7?
explain, please - and i second bichon's second request :)
oh wait
i found those
***ifornia is on the ***ific coast
ty hurshy
now, explain about how she got her blood.
Hello everyone
she eventually got a line under her collar bone. lots of blood. 7 units at present
what made them decide to try again, i thought they wouldn't?
Ata, she must be very ill
was it your persuasive powers?
we all kinda yelled at the surgeon
yes, just a little bit *sigh*
and he just said, ok, i'll try again? wow. go you guys.
no, i know how the story should go
How awful, Ata. Well done for being so tenacious :)
we threatened to complain to our MP etc etc etc
and then her GP got her admitted over the head of the surgeon
the surgeon tells you he can't get the line in, and you sit there looking smug at him until he feels so ashamed that YOU, a non-surgeon, clearly know how to do it, that he decides he MUST rise to the challenge.
well, this time they tried something different!
What's wrong with your sister Ata (if you don't mind explaining)?
next person who asks, tell them my smugness version.
she's got some crohn's-based autoimmune issues that show up as non-healing wounds, abcesses etc etc
she has open wounds from a double mastectomy 6 years ago
Oh that sounds really terrible. How awful for her.
hurshy - I wrote him a letter quoting the Hippocratic Oath at him :)
Ata, I am very sorry to hear that. My Mom had a radical mastectomy 50 years ago a a lumpectomy about 5 years ago. She's 85 now and has another lump in her breast
Well done for getting the surgeon to do his job properly for her.
that's reasonably smug
ci 6 please
so far she has an ever increasing wound that's moving down her side, the open part is about 6 inches across, and is tracking down a lot. much owie. and you can see her heart beating through it
Is there nothing they can do for her Ata?
no, it's just stabilisation mainly
and this is from an autoimmune problem?
they *think* so. either some horrid form of Crohn's or some unknown autoimm. disorder
How old is she?
36
NANCY BOY! are you okay? have thought about you ALL DAY
Do steroids help the autoimmune problem?
(((Atalate))) wow.
cads
go soulgirl go! LOL
a tiny bit. she's been on them constantly for about 15 years
Ooops sorry - has she any family?
me and mum :)
Its soo hard knowing that you're going to lose them and watching them sufferX
Hugs to you allXX
we muddle along :)
well yay for getting the line in!
I hope that she is feeling considerably better already, atalante.
yes! that's the most important hurdle out of the way :)
They finally got a line into my daughter in her ankle
she was sounding grumpy earlier on, so that's a start :P
now she needs phages.
feeling well enough to be grumpy is a start, hope she feels well enough soon to NOT be grumpy...
what are phages?
yes, phages would help, IF they can isolate the right ones. I assume some of them are unusual?
bateriophages are microbes that target bacteria for destruction.
they are these viruses that eat bacteria. they are really expert on them in eastern europe but the don't really get used in the west.
they have been used for nearly a century in some parts of the world, but Europe and the U.S. preferred to rely on antibiotics
Wow, clever stuff.
unlike antibiotics, they are alive and evolve as the bacteria evolve. and they can make you your own special cocktail of various phages based on what bacteria are infecting you.
Clever stuff indeed. What?
and phages alone may not be enough, if the real problem is the underlying immune deficiency
THERE you are, you young rascal! how are you? *checks for mascara smudges*
That's amazing.
of course, yes, it doesn't help the underlying condition, but, definitely helps to get the wounds cleaned up.
maybe
How do you all know this stuff?
often they use phage in combination with antibiotics in Georgia -- the antibiotics help initially, the phages do the rest.
we can't get them in the US because how do you do an FDA approval for something that's alive, evolving, used in a huge variety of combinations...?
Hiii Stid :) bit shaken. Didn't go well at all. I had my baby pictures handed to me in an envelope, and...now I have no dad
ca5, 16 anyone? pls
I know because we have many friends who are active in the use of therapeutic phages.
i read an article about a doc who flew to romania to get some phages to bring back for a patient he had with a wound problem.
((((NancyBoy)))) I am so sorry. (((More hugs))) you can borrow my Tom any time. Another son would be lovely for us, and the stidkids would love a big brother, too.
that is real. It's not the same as your real dad, but -- I just want you to know that it's him, not you. YOU are a lovable young man.
Gosh NB, that's awful.
Thanks Stid :) no, it's what I expected. I mean, he won't change. Felt so sorry for mum though.
If it's any help, we love you.
if you don't have the right phages, they won't work, and if you don't use them right, healing can be peculiar.
But they can save lives, and have, many times.
oh, at first it sounded like your dad had died - i take it that instead there is some rift.
Can I get a clue for that ca5, 16 pls?
Of course it helps, Hego :') thank you. My -ahem- new flatmate helped too, of course. Now miles away, safe in London.
NB, it's better to have a conclusion with people like that, rather than keep a hope alive. You will always have a father, just not a dad
Any help with the mi words? I cannot figure out a single one. are They related?
Best of luck to you NB
ca 5/15 is when something is broken we say it is ca***
Oh no Hursh, nobody died.
Thank you, all :)
GOOD for you both! what's the flat like? is there space to swing a cat? (who does things like that anyway?) do you have enough room for all your fancy clothes, or do you need to rent the next apartment for those?
they are all the same prefix, inge
tx, Bichon
hello inge, they all start out like mi* (little mi** muffet...) there is a 6, a 7 and an 8
yvw hego
LOL Stid! There is room - just! Place is small but very nice and cosy. Up several flights of stairs with no lift so I'll get very fit...
You got a new place then NB?
Yep, Becca, moved in with my bf :) hence the...disowning
Wonderful, being young and walking up stairs is fine. Being OLD as the hills (like me) I don't think I would survive! LOL
Only as old as the man you feel, Stid ;)
Oh dear. It's a shame he can't accept and understand. But congrats on the flat and the moving in tog thing :o)
Its great living with someone you love.
when I was your age, I had a second-floor apartment, several blocks from the place I worked. I had GREAT legs back then. *sigh* and then... Life happened. oh well *shrug* I'm still pretty spry for 100 (too bad I'm not even halfway there yet)
*gasp* I only JUST realized what you wrote, you naughty child!!!! rofl
Hey, thanks Becca :)
Sorry Stid! :) just trying to cheer myself up
would your parallels to a House character be cheering?
*tosses choclits at Nancy Boy and boyfriend* does boyfriend babble? if not, why not? *looks for lurking boyfriend*
Hi all......been in and out all day....lol
mi 6 please
FLASK! (((hugs)))) how are you?
Hi Flask :o)
nm found it
mi* (first three letters of formal address for unmarried woman) + the division of a play: scene, ***...
go team go!
LOL Stid, I'm trying to bring him round to the habit...I'll get him.
good. tell him not everyone is as peculiar as I am!
I'm working on geting my hubby into Babble - getting there slowly!
my husband kicks me off babble all the time lol, he loves it
and with that, I shall go take the nap I started to take an hour ago... got distracted reading the news.
you're relatively normal, stid!
He now looks over my shoulder and makes suggestions sometimes (although I nearly always have them already).
bye stid
Hi Stid...am good thanks!..........yourself?
Bye S
enjoy your nap, Stid :) and thanks for everything
Bye stid
(((Nancy Boy))) be well, and enjoy your new life. I'll want a full update soon! (you can write to my email -- bottom of my profile -- if you want).
thanks stid, now I got it
(((hugs all))) *vanishes in a cloud of choclits and egg nogs*
Mmm, eggnog...
I'm stuck at 75 words.
I'm stuck at 68!!
also, ata, did you like the cartoon one, dreamland? i don't tend to like cartoon versions of live action things - cause for instance one of the best things in the show has been david tennant's facial expressiveness - but aside from that, i thought it was relatively enjoyable. some funny lines.
46 words to go (did most on train this afternoon) and listing. Shamelessly. Squinting at the grid through red puffy eyes :)
I really loved it
i liked "some men are born great, some have crates thrust upon them"
yes lol
and i always love the way DT says "allons-y"
oh yes
Probably should try to finish my CHristmas knitting.
But that means I have to stop babbling - what a dilemma.
h4llo all, did I miss Sti and NB?
h4llo all, did I miss Sti and NB?
One of two, Peri :)
haha, got another family member hooked on bablble, one of my cousins
i'm glad my attempts to convince my family to try babble never succeeded - now i can still say stuff here that i wouldn't necessarily say to them.
I'm off - goodnight all.
ditto!
Good point, Hurshy. There's got to be places where you can just be yourself, though I'm not so hot on family at the moment.
Ditto too hurshy LOL
*poof*
NancyBoy ... how did the move-out go with your dad?
Thanks for asking :) but not well at all. He said if I was going to go with my bf, I may as well never come back, and then handed me all my baby photographs etc in a big envelope, because he didn't want them in the house anymore. So, bad.
So very sorry. Can I be your long distance, little known surrogate mom? My son died in January. Family and friends are all that really matter!!
Oh Origami, I'm so sorry. But everyone here has been so kind and supportive, I'm accepting all the babble surrogate family members I can get :)
But, I love your paper crane - if the Korean family members taught me one thing, it's that a crane is good luck :)
Hello, Everyone :-)
hi zoozy!
Hi
ti7?
ti7 ti + letter + ca4
the ca4 is the horse & ca**
ty zoom. Maybe I would have found it if I had started at the right T.
But probably not.
lol, glad you got there though.
Hey, NB, sorry things did not go well with your Dad. ((((((NB))))))
Hey, thanks Peri :) I'm sorry too...leopards can't change their sp4s, I guess
hm, any help on the first re7? have the grip again and black gold
re7.36 take back what was yours or stake a **** again
Oh, man. Thanks Lynx - was following the wrong path...
yw
100 down...feeling ready to list
doo-dee-done at last. This grid did not click like some others
Well done Inge!
Got to get some cards ready to mail. BBL
Well done, Inge :) yeah, it's a nasty one
Back after a large break. I made the pie crusts (it is an exercise in being humble) and later I'll put in the pumpkin filling.
am I msising something - aa4?
sounds yummy Stidgmere
Harry plural and comes from top right
ohh! I was blind -couln't find 2 a's together, and thought it was a mistake :)
Will taste better than it looks, I fear. But it is a virtual pie right now. In two hours it will be actual. Long flight for a piece of pie lynxxx.
I have never made it Stidgmere, what sort of pastry and what do you put in with the pumpkin?
My gosh Stidgmere, your icon takes me back. Not that far, but still back...
hi all
'kay. 20 more then off for a cuddle on the sofa.
hi jmc
{{{{NB}}}}
Well, Arnold was a fine character, Nancy Boy. If I knew how to change my icon I would. Stidmama helps but she only has so much patience.
Hiiiii (((Jmc))) :) how are you?
too much like hard work, Stidgmere - I change mine once in a blue moon. With exceptions for christmas. I'll probably be sporting this one till june
With the pumpkin I put cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg and a little cloves with the custard made of eggs and milk. It turns out very yummy.
stidg 1. go to your account 2. find the tiny icon photo and click on the word edit under it
Well, I will look for the Santa hat.
jmcnrick, you are too kind. ty
I am fine sorry things did not go well but at least it wasn't a surprise
yw stidg is that enough or do you need more details? I am about to dump my piece of moon
Hey, thanks :) and...it's all over now, at least. Big, big, big weight off my shoulders
oops, i fell asleep..lol
sometimes having something bad is better than anticipating something bad
*hands zooz a cuppa*
yeah, I think you have a point there. It was a horrible, horrible moment, but it's done with now. Can't ever go home again tho.
now thats what i can do with..thanks Jmc :-)
never say never, NB
too bad NB -- his lose though. You can make a family for yourself (and, yes, I know its not the same--sometimes it is better)
I think it is sad they do not understand how you feel, Nancy boy...do you think given time they may relax a little.
*loss
Got my fingers crossed Ata. In the meantime, it'll be weird going back down to brighton to sneak around and make secret visits to my sister/mum
Well, I got to my account and even to the edit piece and once on the web, I got wobbly and couldn't remember what to do. I shall have to write it all out with pencil and paper and then do it. Meanwhile, want to visit and Babble.
Thanks, Jmc :) that's the plan - got all the love I need!
you get used to it, unfortunately!
NB, well, we shall be sending thoughts of support and love your way. Just come on the chat and friends are there for you.
Thank you, Zooz :) I don't know, really. I took some advice from the chog and tried writing a letter to give to my dad, 'cause I knew I could never be eloquent at the time. He ripped it up without reading it though.
Thank you, Stidgmere :) everyone has been so wonderful on here. I'd be proud to have parents like you
And your children, if you have them, are all lucky :)
1. go to your account 2. find the tiny icon photo and click on the word edit under it 3.scroll to the bottom of the page and click on the word "browse" 4. find the photo in your computer you want and click on it 5. click on upload.
well you can mail the letter to him again later or not -- he's the one who it being hurt the most here even if it doesn't feel that way
hi, friends, and hugs to Nancy Boy (reading back in chat) - you have been officially adopted as our Babble son ! and I second zoom's idea - with time, people do change, and things may ease up a bit
Here I go jmc. I've copied the 5 steps.
lol I am assuming, of course that you have a photo on your computer you want to use!
hi jbv
Will do, Jmc. Stubborn and hurtful as he is, he's still my appa and I do love him.
hi jmc
(I am at work as usual so easily distracted from the vastly more important babble chog)
thanks, JBV :) can think of nobody else I'd rather be adopted by. I would have been lucky to have babblers for parents, the way you've all been :') - although all the kind words are setting off the waterworks again
*hands NB a hankie*
oooh, how embarrassing. Still, nothing makes me happier than changing my account details from brighton to london :)
very sweet profile NB
now some one clue me the mi6!
living in Soho? lucky you!
what the actor does who forgets his liens
lines
NB's dad definitely mi****ed!
I'm out of my depth here, Ata, but it's awesome!
it's a great great place :)
A different clue for mi6?
Something goes strange with the domain name. Oh, well. Stidmama to the rescue at some point. Meanwhile we're adoptive parents. How cool! Time to make the pie filling. Poof!
when you behave wrongly, you're mi*taken in your ***tions
ends with anagram of a feline Gadget
May I please have a clue for ca 6/27?
Thanks!
car.eeore..it almost spells the same for cow poo

crossy!
Hello, Crossy
Mahatma Gandhi walked barefoot everywhere, to the point that his feet became quite thick and hard. He also was quite a spiritual person. Even when he was not on a hunger strike, he did not eat much and became quite thin and frail. Due to this diet, he wound up with very bad breath. Therefore, he came to be known as a . . . Super calloused fragile mystic plagued with halitosis
I like my frogs with chicken please
front ear indeed!
sprite!!
oh oh cross!
oh my god that is brilliant!
CROSS! what a silly thing! *trying to make a stern mama look*

Hi Lyna, yes, I want a clue for the A in the last row, the single A....
Lynxx if you are up the road can you drive over and hang mine out please?
So I'm just monkeying around

Hello everybosy. Has the grid been kind to anyone today? (It was a nasty one to me before I went to work; only found 60 words so far)
hi nef, it is nasty, i only have 17 words!
Jen, make sure you plural everything. I'm finding lots of words (well, 4, okay?) I missed before by doing that
Hello all!
i am doing that now, thanks
hi, jil!
hi jilli! How are you doing with this #@* grid?
ca 5,16 please... hi jilli
nice way to put it, nef
(ooops! Did I just swear?) sorry
Nef, I just got back from a day in Victoria and a scary drive back on slippery roads. Got 102 words last night.
sorry, TE I don't have it
i didn't see a swear wod, nef :)
Not fair to have a big grid be nasty
down to 16 left!!
got that right, jil, you just have to look harder!
please help with the first re7/36 been monkeying but not working out
I think I'll be looking in morewords!
If I bother at all
you re***** your baggage at the airport
thank you so much team_edward was going crazy
yqw
jilli, I did the black ice drive into work this AM. It wore me out! I hope you are okay after your harrowing drive
Nef, that is too much. Just saying Hi, must off to bed soon.
Still shaking, nef -- narrow curvy uphill slippery roads at twilight are no fun
bye red. Sleep well
hi all i have one left and I need a clue....the last sp 5 pls
the tiny bit of snow grabs your car and sends it sideways if you miss the previous tracks over the grease
'evening, folks
at least I didn't have to deal with THAT drive, jilli! I was on the freeway in rush hour traffic with gentle rolling hills (and 3 lanes of traffic)
hi welki

Congrats!
YAY sci!!!
YAY, Sciencegeek!!!! WTG!!!!

Thanks anyway

***ifornia + arcade game ***man
TY Shirlockc
thanks, Shirloc!
someone clued it earlier, would never have gotten it myself
can anybody clue the bottom A
(I'm doing good with the 4 letter words tonight! ;-)
I am down to 40 words and hating this grid
ap5---ap and not bro
bottom A is ai/50 -- what you breathe + where the rockets go
and hello everyone!
as4, dan. computer speak?
Oh, sorry, wrong A
hi everyone!
I just clued that lone A at 7:53
Hi dawg!
hi speed, dawg, dan, everyone
tx lbd also needed that ai, jilli :-)
hiya welki! *adjusts foil cap with bells on*
hi Annie,lbd and dan2
so festive :)
hi annie, hi Nef
I have that A and I don't have an ap -- hard to tell which word comes from that lone bottom A but I do have it
cl6 .. ya gotta be kiddin' me
actually, I think jilli had it right. I got the ai8/50 from that bottom A
jilli---ap and not bro
like the cl5.14, i think they are a stretch even for enable!
Annie, that comes from the 3rd row 2nd column A
Yes, Jilli is right
I'm sorry....
it's hard to tell where the a's come from! brain has been wonked out by this grid!
this grid is crackin' me up ... monkey deserves hazard pay!
how far are you lbd? I now have 145 left
My monkeys just gave me notice..they are leaving
i finished earlier, but still feel like brain is sprained.
I have 71 left and I dont think I can hang on much longer
maybe you have ec8 of the brain
ec7 ... only one :)
(and not the pastry)
ec+ not bottom + US spy agency C * *
1 left and dinner is ready. Help, please, with the co 7/36.
sheesh. i was making a joke. you said your brain was sprained, i said maybe you have ec7/36 of the brain. *rearranges the points on lb's foil cap for better reception*
gramma it is where you put the dirty black stuff that heats the house
black stuff in mine + la brea tar ***
Got it NM and goodnight.
I am horrible at cluing
its the bells -- needs to take those bells off
hi all

good evening, back for last 100

speed gave a better clue for im6.27
your clue was good, annie, i got it
i got it from yours annie
Hi all. Not usually on this time of night, and on now just to sign off in defeat. I only had an hour this morning, and I only got 132. This is a very depressing obsession! Maybe tomorow will be better?
but ty both
hi, jay .. don't let it get you down. this grid is the pits
Yeah, it's bad
yeah, suckie grid, not your fault
it is not about completing it is about having fun
This grid can drive you to drink as I am pouring myself some Baileys
and even if it wasn't a suckie grid, it's never your fault ... always blame an outside source
sp7?
I drank jack long before I babbled
It's FM"s fault
yah, FM's fault!!
still, one's eternal hope is complete success. As a newbie, i am thinking i have to set myself some limits--like no more than an hour? or if more than 150, do not attempt?
HA HA
good luck with that, babble sucks you in
Jayk, you are new to the game. It's kind of like life: a process, not a destination! ;-)
jay .. forget about the ranking stuff. we're both fairly new, we'll never climb this ladder. fun fun fun. if you're not having fun, then it's time to sign off
when i first began i was more than happy with 1/2 grid on the bigger ones
*clink*
i always say i won't do one over 150, but when i log on to see the size i get sucked in
"clink"
same here python
Pythonx--OH yeah! it does. But I'd like to think i still have some (diminishing) control over my choice of time!
wait let me get my jack!
i don't always finish, like welki said, it's for fun, not to win
*clink*
Evening everyone
hi sea
Hi Sea
but really Jayk, what is more important than Babble?
I don't always finish even now
hi sea
hi sea
53 left and ready to call it a night
fishing. fishing is more important than babble.
lol sea you just go there
hey all...
pini :)
Hi Pini
Jayk, if I would have tried to finish EVERY grid I've ever done, I'd be bald (from pulling out my hair or wearing tinfoil hats) and have absolutely NO life at all!
i know, i am thinking of all that i should be doing instead lol
Pyth--I'm not trying to "win," exactly (OK, I am), just hate feeling so frustrated that I don't see sometimes even the obvious words. Like I see "pala***" but for the longest time dont see the words embedded in that!
i'm back, didja miss me? ;-) hi to all who came in whilst i was making tea
welke, you and my hubby would get along fine, he's a fisherman
Have I missed anything good today?
pala***? hmmm
hi dawg
Jayk, as time goes by and you get used to the babblets, it will get better. then of course there are the really obscure ones that no one really gets
too bad you're back east, py ... ice fishing season is here and we'd have a blast!
lbd *flying hug* I missed you so much!
hi Sea!
hi Pini!
Scrabs said this morning--or yesterday--or one day--that she had seen 2 grids with 500+ words. How does ANYone do that?
hi Sea!
welki, where the royals live.
omg, that would take me a week
hi pini
hi nef
i wouldn't touch a 500!
<-- would gladly quit her job so she could do huge grids during the day :)
oh yeah, the mega monster grids...they are a challenge just to get the obvious words...
I was here for one of 'em! :)
dog thinks he needs to go out, brb
i don't touch 300!
she had 3*** after pala ... is there a pa7 that begins with pala? *still hmmming*
i've done two 400+ grids. not saying i finished them, just did them to my best ability
i was around for one over 300 -- and I didn't finish rolf
rofl
hello
hi harp
no pa7
we only do them with a little help from our friends, Jayk.
ha! i am sooo not addicted!! i don't know how many words the largest grid i've attempted was!
welki--no, but there's a 6
hi Harp! how much snow didja get?
hi harp
hi harp and Bugs
okay, a really serious question...when eating gingerbread men, do you bit off their legs and arms first or the head?
welki?
Got to be the head first..lol
the head first, then he won't feel it when you bite his legs
go for the head! It's less painful!
head don't make him suffer
yes?
that's what i did, and hubz looked at me like i was a murderer or something!
Hi folks, back to look at the 84 I'll never get
:-ppttthhhh
hi ori!
thank you
hi origami
lol
you are such an optimist, origami! ;-)

night night, Welki!
so pini -- are we going to try to get together sometime next week?
I second that stid!

i am not sure it did the trick
Stid, I would love to...the boss will be in tomorrow so I can confirm whether or not I get the entire week or just and extra day or two...can you wait until tmw night for an answer?
jmc, are you coming West again at some point?
I will check in with Mother tomorrow, jmc and see how that worked.
LOL dawg...but I am much nicer than Ms Palin...and not a con artist either...and probably a heack of a lot more honest!

hey harpjane!
harp...what planes fly in!
I'm sure I will be in the PB before long. Have rumballs and almond cookies dipped in chocolate ready.
I will have to get to work on it -- where in Oregon?
what we breath + outer *****, where no man has gone before, the final frontier
perhaps she was better at "schmoosing" her way to the top through her bosses
ai 8 is atmosphere + "not on earth, out in *****"
No gingerbread tonight PIni. Need Molasses .
Portland is halfway between pini and me jmc...
Stiddy, no problem. I found one that worked out okay, had to make a few adjustments but they came out good
I'm 2 hours south of Portland...Stid is about 3 hours north (right, stid?)
thanks
okay portland is easy to get invited to
oh, wait...3 hours is almost seattle
yes, that's about right.
I always thought it was better to be the little fish in the big sea than the big fish in a little sea!
woot woot, jmc!!! that'd be so cool!
I am about 2.5 hrs from Ptlnd
would Vancouver be better for you, stid?
she's more like a carp...a bottom feeder that's not good for much of anything
swim swim swim
last two re5? monkeying forever ...
*that reference was to Palin, btw*
what who's a bottom feeder?
and then some, lbd!
LOL dawg...you got that right...although alot of politicians are strange people
olympia is pretty easy too but that is harder for pini
doesn't matter to me pini -- I think Ptlnd has good eating and I don't know Vancouver at all
re + ca*** plural of cactus
whew!
swim swim swim
last re is the same, but different last letter, also a vowel
ARGH !! My cat just discovered the snow outside and came in cold with snow frozen onto his belly. He just jumped up and sat on my lap!
well you know you always have an invite here, jmc! (that goes for all youse guys), but if you plan on staying, know that Lucky LOVES visitors... but not all visitors are so enamored of 85 lb lap dogs.
a little cold, bugs??? :)
ack *hands bugs a towel*
rofl bugs! oh dear...
eeeewww, bugs!
er I am more of a cat person
<-- Koda's the same way...but he weighs a little less...
jeez lousie, thx lbd, i would never have thought to do that combo of letters
118 left
142 left here!
I should consider listing!
my dobie was the same way. 90 pounds of love, and pure chicken when he was scared
I think I would be a cat person if I didn't have some allergies to some cats (some cats I am fine with)
go pini, go jmc!
Hi all. Just dropping in for my last 18
besides I can always stay with Les in Olympia (really nice house for the president)
I need to find some brain food...will it help if I do???
This grid is impossible without the list Pini unless you are a glutton for punishment
100 to go pini, haven't looked at it since I got here a little while ago.
hi wht!
hi wht ;)
I suspect Les' abode is WAY nicer than my double-wide! *grin*
hey wht!
hi wht thank you for the Christmas card! (I am not nearly so sweet)
headless gingerbread men in the PB, pini! lol
and he plays his guitar after supper
brain food? list?
ew lbd!
What do folks mean when referring to "listing"?
hey origami!
I've gained 20 words since I arrived (thx to the generous cluosity of lbd and friends)!
yw, jmc
there is a list of first two letters and "count" put together by lickety most days
origami = check out Lickety's Babble Clues underneath the grid...
going to list means we're going to grab lickety's list and get letter clues, origami
you can access the list through the link to lickety at the bottom of the page
Yes thanks lbd for all the clues! I hope you are not tired of it yet
...it's a list of all the words (first 2 letters, number of letters, and point value of the words in the grid)
i like to clue, so there's no problem with asking for them.
she can't be tired!!! lbd is our the Clue Master at the moment!
oh pini, I thought you wrote you had gained 20 POUNDS since you arrived, and was attributing it to the rum balls that someone brought for the PB
ROFL!!!!
ha. got another word!
Thanks ... wasn't sure ...
hello friends!
that'd be interesting, stid...20 lbs in 1/2 and hour...
hi trif!
not tired, but must get another cuppa tea. back in a few
me too stiddie! lol
hey trifioso! how are you? finally saw car (for the first time in over a week) today. sounds like she is having a rought time.
*trying to figure out calories of headless gingerbread men vs rum balls*
first day of the new job tomorrow - have to admit, I am a little nervous!
I think they might cancel each other out, MPitt!!!
yes, she is stid
there's no calories in holiday food
you'll do great, trif!!!
you will be great trif!
HI Trif. You will be fine. People expect newbies to be nervous their first day.
harp...did you get the clue for ai8?
new job? I hadn't heard! *puts trifioso on "first day" list* you'll do GREAT!
What is your new job?
Does anyone have a clue for the last pl5?
*pops a rum ball in mouth*
I'm missing 14 P's...I'm no help, wht
RRRRRum Balls! ARRRR *pirate mode thoroughly engaged*
I am a clinician at a learning center for children, teens and adults with expressive and comprehensive language difficulties, bugs

good work to do, trifioso. they will be glad you are there.
Oh Trif what a great job! My grandaughter (and her parents) sure need someone like you!!!
Trif, best wishes on the new job. I'm sure it will go well, but it might cut into your babbling.
go pini go!
* giggle * MPitt...are you going to give us the play-by-play again??? LOL
lol, yes, indeed it might! I am more worried about how it's gonna cut into my parenting time, but there you go...
ok, am tossing in the towel, going to read awhile, night everyone!
that's it I am putting those ginger bread men in protective custody
bye sea
night Sea

I'm hungry...I'd better grab something to eat

ROFL jmc
my Gingerbread men applied for the witness protection program

not yet jmc
okay, supper is served. I shall return anon...
:-( me neither
(thx for those P's - brb - getting dinner)
hmmmm. so, the cu4 is a word, but not the nearby cl4? seems exclusionary
a watched pot never boils...especially if you turned on the wrong burner!
Enable is a mystery trif
help with al 6, 24 please?
Enable is sexist
al + abbrev for northern neighbor + 2/3rds frozen water
true nef
got it this time lbd. Thanks!
don't get the northern bit....
:-)
country above us, trif
nm, got it...thanks so much!

I have 'firewords' but I got them at 7:56am Babble time.
belated whoo hoo jac
Can't sleep because there's the sound of a storm at sea going on in both of my infected ears.:-(
And I was off to work by then, Jac
Thanks jmc.:-)
poor jac :-(
whatever you have sure is lingering, jac
Nef - it was UK afternoon at that Babble time.
lbd - it IS lingering. Hope it's gone soon.
how can there be this many tr words?
hope you feel better soon, Jac. If you sit up (with earaches) then they don't hurt as much as if you lay down
jmc - they're all pretty normal 'tr' words.
still jacula? wow, that really has been giving you a terrible time....so sorry to hear that!
it looks like they are normal jac but there sure are a lot of them
Nef - I'm a past master at dealing with ear infections. I used to get them a lot as a child.
Trif - just over 2 weeks now.
I'm hoping to get the Xmas decorations up tomorrow. Paul did the outside tree on Sunday and put up the fibre optic tree in the sitting room (which I have still to decorate). I think I can manage to go up the loft ladder without getting dizzy now.
Anyone need clues?
I wonder if Crossy's made those crispy bacon muffins I gave him the recipe for yet?
first to 4/4
brb, need to reboot
jmc - foot digit + vowel.
i should know that babblet by now sigh

mi8/55 - to temporarily lose something.

hi kimm
ec/50 - plural of the 7 which is something being in the wrong place, like a baby growing in the fallopian tube rather than in the womb.

everybody does it sometimes
wht - it can be spelled both ways.
so how many days have you been here kimm?
i spell it that way when i'm being sarcastic, like someone is really sp7 in his/her needs
cybernan - ec7 = the state of something being in the wrong place, like a baby growing in the fallopian tube rather than the womb.
spastic?
I found this site while I was on www.stumble.com. I have only worked this puzzle and one other
I just figured that there was spelling and Enable spelling

mi 6?
I think I'm going to be here forever tonight! :/

did you read the help file?

I just realized that you can use one letter more than once in the same word
well, welcome to the grid, kimm...you, too, will be assimilated; resistance is futile!
*wht

bye lbd
nite, lbd!
Night all.
bye wht
Speaking of hunks, I was reading in the paper the other day that The Chippendales (the male stripper group, not the furniture) are 30 years old now. Or rather have been going for 30 years. I explained to Stepdaughter, as I was reading it out, that it's not the same men as at the start. Her Dad, who had his back to us at the time had started wiggling his butt and pulling his tee-shirt up a bit. He turned round just in time to be deflated by the sight of his daughter making gagging signals. Oh dear!
nope, I'm hanging in!
'Night lbd.
ha! the catholic church now says that it will not stop social services in DC if gay marriage is approved
LOL, jac!
good kimm
lol jac
lear
oh dear, I will never finish this one...late start, 148 left...but sure got a kick out of the chog
Kimm - more leer on my part and oh dear on Step's part. LOL
I'm gonna quit tho! I keep forgetting to put my curser in the other space before entering a new word!!
wrong box again, kimm
NO...you're not allowed to quit!! That word is not in our vocabulary!
(back)
it wan't acceptable anyway, kimm
Putting something into the 'wrong box' has caused many a row. LOL.
sorry, I "spoke" and then got distracted. Working on my lesson plan for wednesday
haha! I know!! That should be a clue for me to quit!
kimm hang in there
hi again stid ;)
stiddie I remembered what stidgmere needs
hi again all!
her icon is HUGE
Hi Stid.
what does she need, jmc?
no it is a clue to try again
oh, I can resize it for her.
thanks for letting me know.
brb to take care of it.
hello babblers, just popping in and so disappointed to see a nice long grid when I don't have time to do it! :(
hi eno the chog is hopping tho
Stid - I got told off on here the other day for giving someone a 'stern mama look'. I told 'em you're not the only stern mama around.
lol I believe that was me jac!
Anyway, I'm older than you so I must be more stern. LOL
pa6/24 please?
okay I am hitting the hay
nite, jmc
bye all and especially bye kimm c u tomorrow
night jmc ;)
oh well no point is starting I have no more brains after all my xmas shopping - good night!
bye bye! Sleep well, jm
pa6/24, pretty please?
*in starting
night eno ;)
sweet dreams jmc, have mother's icon, now working to resize
jmc - it may well have been. I'm on so many pills for things to do with this damned 'flu virus and its aftermath, I hardly know what my name is plus I'm virtually deaf. I think, if the warm olive oil in the left ear doesn't work soon to remove the wax blockage that I might end up begging my Doc to syringe it out. I'm driving the family mad having the TV volume up on 45 to hear it, rather than the normal range of 17-25.
hello enomis
*stern mama look* of course! ANY mama knows how to do that one!
yowser! so sorry, jac!
pa6/24 is where the Queen lives.
hello stid mama
tx jac!!!
bonsoir, chere une! comment allez-vous?
does the puzzle change daily?
y/w Une.
every 24 hours, kimm
Yes, kimm.
very sad day, stiddy -- my central heat/air unit finally died and it's costing me a fortune to replace it . . . major bummer
tonight's will flip in about an hour and 45 minutes
oh no, une!!
oh dear, une, rotten time of year for something like that to happen, I know
it gets installed tomorrow
but then, like children, home repairs are rarely convenient...
i cried in front of the repairman, i cried in front of his boss
perhaps the new unit will, however be more functional and energy efficient.
ti 7, please?
that's what i'm told . . . and it comes with a 10 yr warranty
were they able to come up with any discounts for you, une?
Stid - exactly! The stern mama look is perfected by the time your first child is, what... 3? If you haven't already tested it out on your husband before that.
discounts? DISCOUNTS?
sorry :-)
oh, sorry...I'm guessing that's a no?
:-D
well a 10 year warranty is something, at least
true . . .
ti7 = a trailer, usually horse drawn, that can tilt to remove its contents.
singing the show tunes earlier was the best part of my day! LOL
Blimey Une! If cyber singing show tunes was the best part of your day, the day must have been grim.x
precisely
oh, well, let's move on to a happier subject!
ty jacula
Une - we just had to pay over £4,000 for our central heating boiler etc., to be given new life.
sucks, eh?
okay, I think I remember mother's babble password. Will log out and see if I can fix her icon image. brb
une...if the efficiency rating is high enough you can get a tac credit this year
I am so stuck on the first re7,36. Does anyone have a clue for me, please?
Only we haven't paid them yet, since their workmen caused £1,750 worth of damage to our house by flooding it. The Gas Board, whose workmen caused the damage are disputing our workman's quote.
Bug - if you take something out of a skip that someone else didn't want. you might have re7/36'd it.
nope, that didn't work. I'll email it to her and can go over tomorrow to install it.
une I meant tax...my keyboard is missing most of the letters...doesn't help me much!
mpittore, thanks, i'll check into that
bug, it's another word for hook.
re 7: to take something back
jac, what a nightmare!
Thankyou Jac! It took a minute for the "tip" part but I am done now. Thanks so much
*!* ta da *!* - thanks for the help folks :)
congrats, nan!!!
It is, Une, 3 months on they want to send their own assesors/loss adjustors in. Do they really think we've lived in the damp shit for all that time?
good lord . . .
wtg nan ;)
anyone want clues or have you all finished?
I'm pretty sure they're trying to cover themselves and hope you have done just that...too bad, it's too little, too late!
finished? what's that?
finished?? I only have 32 words!!
They've made the mistake of taking on a household that has already had 4 major surface water and sewage floods into the house in the past. We know what are right are and they won't get a penny out of us until they pay up for what is a pretty modest repair bill, given the damage.
did you take pictures jacula?
kimm...have you been playing with Lickety's List at all?
cyber - yes, and so did their rep on the night it happened.
sa5/12 after the boat powerer?
FIREWORDS for moi -- totally exhausted -- see you tomorrow -- nite, all *poof*
wtg une ;)
sa + what you do with an icecream cone
night une
thanks
thx nan ;)
kimm, Underneath the Tile Stats are 3 columns of words printed in green. The top one in the middle says Lickety's Babble clues. If you click on it you will see the first two letters of the words in the grid and how many letters are in each word.
The floods I mentioned before were down the the National Water Board, and, eventually, they took steps to safeguard our homes and paid for most of those steps, but didn't backdate paying us for the ones we'd tried before. The Gas Board won't get away with sending us poorly trained operatives who flooded our house.
It really helps to know the first 2 letters. Start by finding as many 4 letter words as you can and then add endings of s, es, est, ing etc.
Well done Une. Dormez bien.x
is your icon what I think it is harp?
congrats to all the finishers. I must finish decorating the tree...
hey une and good nite.. hope your heat has been fixed
what DO you do with an ice cream cone?
(oh, and if you open the List in a separate window - setting the grid and list side-by-side - you'll be able to keep an eye on both)
hi dorens ;)

Cyber - what kind of pie were you thinking of baking?
how's that workin' for ya, Nef?
lemon
Hi Nef.

Dorens - cr + 'not your bro'.
not lemon mringue --sorry -- hot lemon pie with ice cream or whipped cream on top
more like a tart au citron
cyber - sounds just as nice. *Keeps place in queue with plate held out.*
ty nan
I'm going for the lemon meringue option, because I have ouefs to use up before their up date.

oeufs, I meant Pini.
still don't know what oeufs is?
French word for eggs, Pini.
would it be yeast, maybe?
ahhhh
gotcha ;)
eggs en française
ok, brb
cybernan - if you want a fat and cholesterol fest, why not try a Sussex Pond Pudding? It's a suet pudding with a centre of one or two whole lemons packed in with cubes of butter.
(I really regret that I grew up in a small town that didn't offer a foreign language in HS)
sounds like the sort of thing i would have loved to eat back when i was 2/3 my current weight, jac
It's absoluately delicious when warmed up the day after it's been made but is a pudding you shouldn't indulge in too often.
I thought it had to have Lyl's Golden Syrup in it too
jilli - nope.
*Lyle's -- well, I have a recipe like that
AND I'm too tired to finish this grid.Good night ALl. Happy Babling!!!!!
'Night Nef.
