I know we're all God's critters, but really! Jillibus. I much prefer Geico's gecko.
aw, Christine, I thought this little guy with the big mouth was rather cute!
I wish more people had looked for this theme's critters -- there are so many unique ones!
I had a friend who lived somewhere in S.E.Asia, she said there wew lizardy things that would drop from the ceiling while you slept.
someone clue a fu 7? i sure don't see it
Jilli, check out my lemur.
I almost posted a yellow moth that looked like a ballet dancer -- the Comet Moth or Madagascar Moon Moth, if you want to google it and check the images
*thought digby said femur8
lol ruru!
Nice, digby -- a ring-tailed one :)
He's cute
and that there is a re+fu7?
fu7 -- almost replete man
re + fu7 is a word but not on the board
Thank the Lord for small mercies.
grem, I know the word isn't tryst but I've been wanting that one
thank you for the fu 7 finally found it
yw ruru ;)
hehe
i haven't got it yet but then haven't the 8's or 9 either so whats new
I think it's a chemical prefix
That's a lovely word.
grem you said it was a t6 -- what's the second letter?
te6
ty tetryl
what's lovely, the fu7? That one made me think of a certain coffee
oops!
Hi, all...thanks, jilli!
night all!
fu7 - look at the definition, and how it's used in a sentence.
hi jellen *blushes*
lol tks jill :D
night freep!
Ji;;ibus, thank you for the te6
oh golly!
hmm, fu7 + ly is a word...I wonder if re + fu7 + ly or ef + fu7 + ly are words
some long phantoms if so
How do you like your new name?
it looks a bit hiccuppy, christine!
Christine: "as [fu7] as half a billion candles" ?

Christine: oh, that's nice

Hello everyone
hi Lyn
ir6 = ir3 extended to a compound word
hi Flosey. try anger & not empty
ty gremlin
or maybe just a suffix
tks, that worked
hi lynxxx
hi lynxxx
hi Andree and Hugo
does anyone have a clue for ly6 please?
not seeing any more -- time for bed -- have a good babble, gang! *poof*
ly6 person who writes the words for a song
bye Jilli
ly6 -- one who plays the old insturment
goodnight jilli
someone who plays the ly4
ty lyn and jilli
Sorry - wrong! - what Grem said
and gremlin
lynxxx -- the songwriter would have an ic in the middle ;)
I was thinking that too at first lynx, but then I remembered it would have a couple extra letters
so I looked it up to check if they meant the same thing -- nope, they didn't
yes realised that Jilli
*repoof*
bye jilli
lynxxx i have to let you know that "wicked" was one of the best shows i have ever seen
oh good! a lovely present then!
it was, two musicals in 1 week, a record for me, i am taking 3 oldest grandaughters to see mamma mia on saturday
that should be fun
they are very excited and i am reeling at the prices
oh dear, how much? do they get concession
no can you believe it, so i got the "cheap seats" $96 each
ouch! how sad they don't like to encourage future clients
i forgot to ask if my seniors card would get me a discount
goose! must say I do the same
i am looking forward to this special outing and it didn't hurt to let those moths out of my wallet, lol
Andree, I loved mamma mia
the stage show flosey?
no, unfortunately, wasn't near a large centre when it was playing
just saw the movie, but have seen it twice!
i loved the movie, such fun and look forward to the stage production but must say " wicked " was fabulous
would love to have seen it while in Toronto
my grandaughters have the dvd and they can sing through every song so taking them will be a real treat for me as well as them
oh I bet Andree, they'll love it - lucky girls
and lucky me, guess it won't be long before its uncool to be seen with granma
ah but even if that happens, it's pretty brief - they come around again
not you Andree, grandma's are special.
does anyone have a clue for st7 please?
not me flosey
back shortly, must go eat dinner
me neither - what are the points Flosey
st7/28
GIddy-up!
lol, morning Haz
Sorry - scrub that, I thought it was a piece of horsy equipment.
hi Haz
Hello! My eyes made a letter p where none existed. It's called wishful thinking.
have done that too Haz
st7/28 - looks like st plus a badly spelled Mr Butler of Gone with the Wind Fame. Looks like Italian for street or something.
well of course that it it! TY
st7 - first four letters of the quality of elastic, first two letters of the favourite English beverage.
You're welcome. Another triumph for morewords!
thanks haz
You're welcome, berri.
thanks Haz
I'm amused by some of the words this morning. I'm trying to imagine a su5/16 sl4/7.
I'm always amused by the te6 that comes off the camping equipment
yes Ata, that one doesn't seem right
and my father is in the grid. and accepted too!
Hello, Ata and greetings to Hobbitellerina.
really doesn't , does it
she's downstairs sulking
Sulking? Have you refused to bow to her demands about something?
Morning all.......nice grid this morning, however am struggling to find lu4/10....tried everything...any clues please?
Good morning Flask, let me have a look.
yep, she had to eat dog food this morning cos I finished the remains of the roast chicken last night
ok...thanx!
lu4/10 - ice skating maneouvre
It ends in the high scoring letter. Think of Torvill and Dean.
oh aye!
thanx Haz!
You're welcome.
I never get any thanks :(
Poor Ata!
back again, hi everyone
Hello, Andree!
I clue and clue quickly and nothing *sadness*
Does anyone else hear violins playing?
Yay Ata WTG!!!! *grin*
*giggle*
Good morning, FM!
is that what that sound is
Morning Haz!
Hi Andree
ut7, andree
Yes, background music for Ata's sadness. Don't worry, she cheers right up quite quickly.
Oh Ata....am so sorry....I didn't see your clue...am soooooo sorry...that was was very rude of me........thankyou my dear!
I mean, if she can't be cheerful after David Tennant wins a National Television Award, there's something wrong.
hi fmitch
LMAO :) he did? ooooh yay!
cial hi ti ata
PLUS Stephen Fry got a special recognition award.
*puts kettle on* that will cheer her up.
There, Ata, Flask has grovelled for forgiveness. You must be happy again.
I was most suited with the results I have to say.
opens champagne, now that should cheer her up
*hugs flask* :) and I have an appt with my chiropractcor in an hour so hopefully my neck will stop feeling like it has popping candy in it
And there was dear old Bamber Gascoigne, smiling away, to bestow said award. He hasn't aged very much at all.
fireworks
was it him that used to present University Challenge?
I know! Wonder what is portrait is like in the attic.
Well done flosey!
Congrats flosey!
I'm going to get screeched at now, aren't I ...
Hello (back w. coffee) Ata and FM and Flask
yay flosey!
and now back to bed, 1:30 am, goodnight all
Congrats Flosey!
yes it was him Ata
Hi lynxxx!
Yes, Bamber did it for years and years. He was very gentle with the students compared with Jeremy Paxman.
Sleep well, flosey.
I like JP
hi lynxxxx
yay flosey and wb lynxxx
how can you be not gentle with a name like Bamber
night-night flosey
So do I, Ata, he doesn't disguise either disgust or admiration.
I loved Bamber!
yes. he really sound impressed sometimes, and that's enough to counteract the acidity
Bamber took the whole thing very seriously, apparently he used to read up on all the questions so that he could elaborate on answers etc.
Ah the heady days of black and whilte TV :)
I wonder how many Jeremy actually knows the answers to
I know. And you had to get up to change the channel.
I can't imagine he knows all the science ones.
the first TV I was ever allowed to have still had a twirly knob thing to find teh channels. I loved that
Long before reality shows and 5 min celebs came along.
He seems to know history, music, geography. Astrophysics - not so hot.
nor me. he always sounds convincing though
i remember actually enjoying the ads as part of the tv experience!!!
though he did pronounce something wrong last night :)
LOL Andree!
last night?
last week!
And now the ads are on so much and so often that you change channel just to get away from them.
AND they put the volume up when the ads come on.
i hardly watch tv to get away from them
Oh that drives me mad, why do they do that?
I don't like Jeremy doing Eggheads!
I assume they pump up the volume to grab your attention, but it's a major annoyance.
I liked Dermott doing Eggheads
Channel 4 is the worst for the volume crime!
we should make a Babble team. We'd whip 'em
Dermott is the best and he's GORGEOUS....hee-hee!
Dermott is, naturally, from Northern Ireland. Or at least he has relatives here, so we'll claim him.
Not a bad idea Atal.....
He's very soft and caring!
Perhaps we should start with a virtual pub quiz team and then go for Eggheads.
who knows about sport though???
Me!
I know a bit about sport.
virtual pub quizzes?
I like sport!
we'd need you for the veterinary round, haz
so there's two of us!
yay Flask, thats got sport covered then
There's never a veterinary round!
(any further on the hamster women?)
Flask gets sport, I concede.
who's the history/art experts?
Haz would have to do food and drink
Nothing more on hamster woman. I was telling my midwife friend about her and she was rejoicing at the thought of meeting up with her in five months time.
looooool oh yes, poor her!
Ata and I would probably cover art and literature and geography.
and science
I'd be better on history than food and drink - I know nothing about wines etc.
Science?
they have a sciencey round sometimes!
Good morning all.
Morning Mac!
Ata for science and I could do technology.
hi Macadam
Good morning, macadam. Your area of expertise for the virtual babble quiz team?
Morning mac
welcome to the Babble quiz league
Who knows capital cities,state capitals?
so-so.....
Good point, well made, macadam. Are you offering?
very iffy.
unless we are talking European.
They keep changing names of places. How's a body meant to keep up?
lol I can probably do America and Asia
I hate to admit it , but I`m in a quiz team.Joined up to keep the brain working !
Who's doing literature?
You hate to admit it? Be proud, macadam, that's great!
yes i still remember constantinople
ooooo go you!
hello all
I wouldn't be so hot on modern literature.
I used to be in a pub quiz team, was so much fun.
hi aslindy
Hello, aslindy.
hi asl
do you still remmeber Byzantium though?
hi Aslindy
I'd *love* to be in a quiz team. Cos we always used to win when I was LOL
It`s amazing what you can recall and embarrassing what you can`t remember.
I am excited to say that I started this grid less than 10 minutes ago, and I already found the 9 letter word!
All those European nations that suddenly emerged just confuse me.
lol, i almost remember dinasours
and Emperor Jutininian
i haven't found it yet
My grandchildren assume I knew dinosaurs personally.
Justinian even
lol...who Mitch??....Was he Danish or something???
you don't?
considering it is 4:45 AM here, I am astounded I can find ANY words
There's bound to be a knock knock joke featuring the name Justin.
ok, I vote Flask doesn't do history :P
PHone.
Oh nooooooooooooooo....trust me...lolol
ruGrruler in byzantium, amazing mosaic of him and his wife in a church in Spain, can't remember where atm.

*gives sk his monkey* hi everyone
hi Oodle
goodness..OK...good to know...thx lynx
bless your heart oodle....thx!!!!
:D

lyn... were fires this year as bad as last?
ok..gonna focus...wish me luck ;-)
We have still 2/3 months of dangerous period to go Oodle. Have been some bad fires in West Australia. Nothing major major here so far
2 thirds of a month or 2 to 3 months, Lyn?
2 or 3 months. Those bad fires last year were in February but we are hot until at least April
end jan begin feb are our coldest times here and I would imagine the reverse there... it would be your hottest... I hope they remain cooler than last
Doubtful - 36/97 tomorrow, let's just hope the rains keep up, that at least has been better here than last year
yes more rain...oh that's good
bbl

where do you live crossy?
oh Eva!!

Yikes... that's just horrific! It was recently discoved that my mother has a blockage in her carotid artery... she lives in another part of NJ and wanted to come up here to an MD, in case she needs surgery and her insurance had no listed providers for my area (which is a virtual MECCA of healthcare)....
That's terrible crossy... truly.
since I was the one to call here a baby i felt I should cheer her up with a lollipop
plural of what mom was talking about needing.
im glad you mother can get care now;)
then all hell broke loose *picks up 87 lollipops from floor of chog*
oooh... am i in the pb inadvertently???
alls well that ends well, right jmc? ;)

thanks jmc... appreciate the effort.
does your mom have plaque-building disease?
Sunny here as well.. a bit nippy, but sunny just the same!
crossy - I saw sun today - it was amazing, but so fleeting :(
*puts aloe gel on hands from pushing the sun*
I don't know Ruby... this is a new ailment... no dx yet.
its raining like hell in vegas
take a picture for me next time fm;)
is that su 4/6 for real? -- can't see any possibilities
And she is so funny... they wanted the doppler faxed, so she was trying to get me to explain to her how to do it from her computer... I was like, call the lab and have them do it... you paid enough for it, LOL!
he had the two blocked arteries, a couple of years apart and then, this past sept., had a blocked artery behind his heart and almost died
It's raining in VEGAS???
OMG... Ruby... thank God all ended well.
yes cnan - su + cons and repeat the vowel.
su name of a Stark Trek Officer
did you get the re 7 fuq?
yah suprisingly raining in vegas
ty bichon
35th of an inch yesterday
yvw nan
oh and good news! i finally have my da all set up in a retirement condo! he has friends again and can set up his place just how he wants it and his meads and meals are monitored and orginized for him:)) took a lot of weeping and yelling and gnashing of teeth but he is happy and we are happy knowing he will get the random supervision he needs while still retaining his freedom;0
no. I don't think I have that 5
We had thunder and hail here in the Bay Area of CA
well it figures with all the real words out there enable recognizes the star trek officer
there is an excellent cardiac surgery unit in Victoria, BC (Royal Jubilee Hospital) and another at Vancouver General
My mother's generation is so funny... they never want to "bother' anyone... I was like, "It is their job and it will take them 2 seconds to fax the study and the report"... sheesh!
o how wonderful for you crossy!
Oh that is good to hear croosy, well done. I know it has taken a lot.
wonderful, crossy!
so is the desert blooming atom?
However, we also have waiting lists
crossy... that's great.. it always feels better once you see that type of thing sorted out... we went through it with my mother in law last year after her leg was amputated.... now she is in Massachusetts in an assited living and very happy.
not yet
was hell fm and the interm bed facillity made it harder still.glad he is out of there
ok all, back to proofing boring documents... *grabs an extra lolly and drags her heels back to her cubicle*
I still can't find the re7..

good stuff mom:)
Bye EvaN see you anon
ty mom
good to know mom

clues for the en's please and hello
hi bichon
tc fm;))
hi science
gd night, FM
ruby, why lol?
bye FM
because I didn't know there were 2
my parents are still relatively young... but it is the effort that they think they have to expend not to "trouble" or "bother" an office worker... and she would not give me the # of the lab, as she knew I would call them... LOL.... you can lead a horse to water, right?
cannot see the ir 6 either acck
there is such a shortage here,i should just prebook dads place now,he hangs in for 20 more years and i just slide right in after him;))
ir + vowel + opp of empty
That's thinking crossy!
ty mom
yvw... but it was ruby who clued you, LOL.
how old are your folks mom?
early 60's.
lol still sleeping
for once, I could give a clue!
ty ruby
hmm that would be my generation and i am more than willing to bother people to do their jobs
indeed mom! i had to drag him kicking and screaming as he envisioned some dank dark place with dripping concrete walls where they just sove you into a windowless room to die
yeah ruby!
My MIL is in her late 80's and lost a leg as a result of an accident... that was a nightmare. Dealing with my parents is relatively easy in comparison.
alright im gonna go bye evryone
by atom
good to meet you atom
hb
tc atom
maybe you can talk to them for me, jmc...
bye atom
good to meet you to jm
lol i am sure it is ingrained mom
I have 3 sisters, but I always end up doing this stuff, as when they have issues they always tell me, as I am much calmer.
i have friends like that
my brother and i did the tag team thing with my dad
any clues wanted before I leave?
JMC... recently my father drove up here with a copy of a cancelled check because he received a bill with a "past due" notice.. called them and they got to the bottom of it, but he was not satisfied until he had personally delivered the cancelled check, LOL!
one of my sisters and i did it all as the other two were away far away
*giggle*
lol mom,i cannot remember the last time i used an actual cheque
re7, pls
all electronic now baby!!
After my MIL's accident we moved her here to a rehab facility, but then my BIL and SIL wanted her closer to them, so they found an assisted living 1/2way between them.... my husband and his other brother were sad, but I have to tell you... much easier on me and mine.
OMG Crossy... he does not "trust" the internet.
i still use them from time to time but i pay most things bye cc, dc, or computer
re 7: makes another attempt
thank you, nan
my sister doesn't trust it either and still runs to mail her bills
ty cyber
It took me forever to convince him that the ATM was his friend... I swear he has money sewn into the mattress.
hehe mom,i remember when debit cards first came out..took me 3 years to trust the things
I think I'd trust the net more than the post!
or re 7/44: abbreviated normal + star trek hero scrambled
I don't really care how he pays his bills... but the idea that he drove over 100 miles to hand deliver something that he could have mailed is insane!
i have yet to teach my MIL to use an ATM sigh so I am always running to get her to the bank before it closes on Sat.
when i set up my first gas station,we tested a debit card machine for 2 weeks and sent it back!!! not enough people were using it at the time lol
I'm trying, nan, but feel really dense!
i only pay cash for gas if i get a discount
When I asked him how he paid the bill int he first place he was like.. mailed the check... so why could he not mail the copy of the check???
i pretty much only use cash for meters and tips
crossy is sooo glad he is out of the fuel business
and they just installed meters here that take credit cards
Me too jmc
lol mom
did he look embarrased when you pointed that out?
It's a losing battle though... trying to reason with them... but they are good and fairly self-sufficient in most ways, so... no biggie, right?
anyone have the gu7?
add a sometime vowel to the word before
No JMC he did not... he just kind of smirked and shrugged his shoulders, as if to say, "you know I'm some kind of a nut, and, by the way, the apple don't fall far from the tree, kid"... LOL!
oh and everyone, all fuel is mostly the same, except for sulphur contents.when shopping for a station ask who thier source is and the see the environmental sheet(whimis) as you are entitled to ask
re 7/44: beginning of a word for rules + scrambled star trek character
well you still have to keep an eye on it mom -- things have a way of slipping
first gu 7
gu 7: plural of the gu 6 (found in wheat and other grains)
I'm baking you cookies, nan, ty
ty cyber i got it that time
OMG crossy we just put it in the car and go... I don't get all tight about everything... really, people like to see problems where they do not exist.
Oh, jmc... I know.
gu 7/48: like the drain for rain water
that is what my daddy always said crossy
no mom,a high sulphur content (esso) can impact of you drive clean testing
A couple of years ago I took Dad to a neurologist because my daughter was visiting them for a couple of weeks in the summertime and she said he kept getting lost... I was concerned.
it is the gu 7/40 that i am missing
We don't have Esso...
add the sometimes vowel science
that is the plural wheat component
i know fuel..trust me..im not seeing what does not exist
rhymes with indian dish, science
But will keep an eye on the sulphur content at your suggestion.
good stuff
ty never heard of that one before
*gu 7/40: some are allergic to them and have to eat rice products instead
nan, you're cluing the gl7, aren't you?
that would be gl7/40 cyber
sorry yes I am
OK.. must dash... thanks for listening... I swear I come on here and chog way more than I actually do the grid!
gu 7/40 rhymes with rushes
welcomee to the club mom
lol you are not alone mom!
*another word for rushes
I was going crazy trying variations of guten!!!
for those that care,Irving oil(east coast) has the cleanest fuel products
OK... off now to do my other "volunteer" job... fundraising for my daughter's school... someone kill me now!
sorry about that -- a senior moment!
Well, i counted all the g's but it says i am missing one! WTH?
LOL Crossy... I care, I care, I swear!
sorry it is against my religion mom
Hello everybody :)
hello soodle
time to look at lickety's list, geek!
I'll try that excuse jmc.
hi soodle
ok.. bye now
do you have gu 7 x2?
So, is there a mystery g word?
lol,not to worry mom,my wife does not care if it is a classic 55 t-bird or a 800 dollar junker as long as the wheels go round and round
no no it's against my religion to kill you!
yes 2 7's
ge x9, gl x3, gu x5
what's the other gu7?
a ge 9? now im depressed;/
no -- there are 9 ge's
ahh whew1 had me scared
have them all
the 9 is su9/72
the only 9 letter jobbie is su*******
su 9/72
ty bojazz
9 ge's 3 gl's, 5 gu's
Think back to the topic of conversation a few moments ago, cross -- thought I would get sent to the penalty box!
oh, you cut me so many times... :)
lol
lol mom i have the memory retention of a wet sponge
cyber i mean
*wrings out crossy's brain*
that should help
was wondering -- lol!
su 9: what goes on in a certain area of the hospital
not really jmc,now all the important stuff is gone and all that is left is trivial fluff
lol
how can you tell crossy?
shhhh - that's classified
Oooh Thanks, Nan
gu7, not the one that rhymes with Indian dishes?
what's classified bo?
well your right there jmc..when i get really far gone, the good thing is that i will not know it;))
gu 7: like the trough that carries rain water
downspout like fuq
what goes on in hospitals
ah!
oh, I see. had the rain trough, missed the "like"
ignore me - having a loopy day
if I hang around long enough......
ty bojazz,i got it way back when you first said there was a su 9
where is Annecy, ruby? -- thought we had covered most of France, but don't remeber that one
Annecy is NE of Lyon and straight south of Geneva
ah -- we went south from Lyon
in the foothills of the Alps
sounds lovely
lots of tourists here, but mostly from other parts of Europe
I like Annecy
it is really beautiful; we are halfway up the hill on the east side of Lake Annecy
actually Veyrier du Lac
ata, it's great, except for the food
oh gorgeous!
Ha! i like all of europe - except for the bad parts (if there are any)
you were here and you didn't call me?
I'd live on fondues
Hiya Ata :)
german bier
you would be so happy!
I have to admit my favourite part of France is the St. Remy area -- mind you I also liked the Loire valley and Alsace
I've been there a few times over the last goodness knows how many years, usually stopping on the way to the Alps :)
yes they do make good beer
st 7
*especially the wine in Alsace
me too, on Alsatian wine, but also choucroute!
st 7: roadway abbreviation + last part of a hair clip
great clue, nan
isn't that the sauerkraut type dish?
ty
ty nan
yw
hair clip?
yes, sauerkraut and chunks of ham and different sausages and it's cooked either with beer or white wine
and caraway seeds
oh yum!
don't care for sauerkraut, but sure liked the way they prepared duck in Alsace -- ate a lot diff. recipes for it and loved them all.
there is a place in western Penn that makes the best greasiest sauerkraut!
Clue for the fu7/52 please?
made me want to go to europe to try the real thing
not empty man
fu 7: not empty + male
Thanks guys. A not empty man, eh? Now! Theres a thing LOL
One of the best dishes I've tried was in Normandy -- lamb hocks simmered with veggies in calvados until the meat is falling off the bone -- delish!
hello all
we get great lamb here at halal butchers but the beef is basically inedible
help with either
all this talk about food is making me hungry -- must be lunch time soon!
re7 pls
for curdling milk
(re7) or an enzyme
I never have beef in Europe -- very few places have good beef and fewer still know how to cook it.
when I visit my son in Austin I get huge t-bones
we have great beef here!
good beef in the UK
and Ireland
I could never figure out why the French cook their fish rare and their beef until it resembles leather
this chat always makes me hungry
well, that took away my appetite!
the french make wooooonderful rare beef
Oooh Roast beef, yorkshire pudding, mash, roast potatoes, and fresh veg. To Die For!
you just have to order it "bleu"
not where I've been -- not that was tender anyway
As long as the roast is still a dark rose colour in the middle, soodle
oh yes, you really can. gorgeous rare meat
lol that's medium in France, cnan!
it's been fun, folks, but TV beckons.....
Come over to my house on Sunday - I have it down to a fine art
good night
I did, on our first trip, Ruby -- I could hardly chew it, it was so stringy.
I guess we are really spoiled with the beef we get here -- good Alberta black angus
often, it is, but we hv one restaurant nearby whose beef is fine and the chef makes it with morels and cream
wow, you went to sucky places then
of course, nothing compares with Black Angus!!!!
first re 7/44 please
re +cons + mixed-up star trak name
re 7: beginning of a word for rules + scrambled Star Trek character
trek
ty
I'm just learning how to give clues

ty
Now it says I am missing a g and I have counted them all!
it is an 8!
clue for lu 6 pls
okay is a ge 8 let me see here.
ge8 plural of ge6.30
Science - its the plural of the GE 6/30 directly underneath the one you are misssing

Yay for Science.
lu 6 is pl of lu 4/10

"they can't re***ate **", said the companies to the supreme court about their campaign funding. "you're right," said the supreme court, hoping to ruin the nation even more than it already is messed up.

hello Matty
thanx Aussie and Mom.....
you are so welcome, Flask, and hello
Forgive me for being out of practice, but can anyone clue for the terminally thick of skull the two en words?
matty!!!!
Hi Ata!
Matty, no en*** means no throughway, and plural
sure Matty, the en 5 is the opening in a doorway.
Ata !!
I've been trying to find them since you asked, matty and I'm dense too
Ata, hello
aussie!!

how was Dr Phil on Farmville??
Had a celebratory drink on an 3rd Ata.....
Jan 3rd even
oh Ata, it was pitiful.
yeah :) I'm planning Oxonmoot entertainments on facebook lol
DON'T talk Farmville - I left there in a huff due to bugs, and even wrote a Dooyoo review
Still struggling with our EN5 and EN7 doorway
she made sure her crops had enough nuriousment (sp) and her animals enough food before she flew out to California
ok, got the en5
a sign with a line through means no en***, and several doorways means there are several en*****

Ok, someone hit me with a wet fish
ditto, now I just like Fishville instead
**passes whale to Matty**
and she cried because she had to leave it
fe 5 20 first one please.
I can't get past the first four letters of the top row - they keep hitting me with a bloody seal, never mind a fish
I feel really DUMB also!
oh noooooooooo
lol. fishville is by Zynga, the same folk as Farmville.
her daughter was using the computer and she wanted to tend to her crops so she unhooked the router so her daughter would get off the computer then she went and plugged it back in and used it
You're hooked in! mwhahhaahaa
I know, but fishville seems to work, at least for now!
what did Dr Phil say>??????
Matty, do you have the su word which goes straight down the first column ?
But people pay real money to farmville, fishville, yoville and the like. *shakes head*
yep - meaning unpleasant?
he told her to plant a real garden. She said it is 8 degrees out.
dats de one :)
she came to justify it not fix it.
It's almost horrible when there are obvious words that jump at you - it's hard to see past them
are you serious Matty? I have never seen farmville
anyone have fe 5 20 first one?
did he persuade her to stop?
he tried his darnest as did her daughter
new to the babblers, but gotta say "love FarmVille"
the kids eat cereal for supper
hi lady b :0
:)
HI Lady Biotch, welcome to Babble
You've been better not to - you CAN play for free, but if you want to do really well, you need to buy things for cash - and, unlike Babble, it's not a one off payment. I'll send you the link to my (written) analysis if you like, but I was pretty pissed off at the time
she went to the grocery and let the bags on the floor without putting anything away so she could get on the computer
i give up. the fu 6 last one is NOT a word! who decideswhat goes in grid??????????
I'm so broke I can't even pay attention.....never mind paying for stuff on FV
it's no fun anyway just buying everything at once
Matty I would love the link, I do not play it but would love to hear what you have to say about it
did she say how much she spends on it, Mom?
fe + you can *e** on me to give you a clue.
no, that was not even mentioned
I didn't know it would cost money.
it doesn't have to
struggling with your f clue, Aussie - I tried what I thought you meant...
and she was so serious when she was talking about it. like it was real
what word did you think I meant Matty ?
http://members.dooyoo.co.uk/applicatio ns/farmville-facebook-application/1381 005/ - there you go - long, but it is what it is
did you get to see pics of her farm?
Well, I took your clue to mean I could 'count' on you...
they showed some pics I don't know if it was her farm or not
nope, not count on me, but you can *e** on me, I am **liable
never mind - I got that - just kept the e in - once I took it out, all was clear :)
that's just scary. please tell me she was size 30 and hideously ugly?
lol... Well done Matty !
thanks Aussie!
Now just working on the last FE 6/27 - that won't give me fireworks, but I really MUST go to bed

Trif, I know, LOL

Good look, nrkii... I hope you have found something you will enjoy.
congrats on your new job, nrkii!
I think so, babble rabble
and I'll definitely enjoy getting a paycheck again
Congrats on the job, nrkii. Is ti a temporary one or a permanent job?
And how old are the kids?
it's a big pay cut from my last job, but it's enough to live on, so I'm okay with it
good grief it's not even half way down yet!
"permanent"
and I need to go to bed
I put it in quotes because "permanent" is such a hopeful term these days
the kids are high school seniors applying to college
so everybody has fireworks now??
they're just so YOUNG
that is so great nrkii, I am just delighted for you! Best of luck
yep by permanent I think we all mean "as secure as it gets" these days
no where near, good enough!
LOL! So they aren't terribly youong, jus that you aren't used to being around teens?
I know I already said they were young, but it's really quite amazing
or are you being restrained and not looking??
Yep, the server I had last night at the restaurant has a Masters and was laid off.
well, I don't remember being that young when I was that age
not looking. finding the words is half the fun!
I'm not looking, Good Enough
Congrats Nrkii
oh, babble rabble, that is certainly discouraging
still 14 to go here
Looks like someone got a life sentence to the penalty box!
it is great news, I'm half way so going to bed, congrats again nrkii, I only got my missing Us then came away
I have a Masters too, but it's in English... that and a buck will get you a coffee at McDonald's
OK, I looked.
night katie!
lol kap!!
good night Katie
Better someone else than me!
Isn't that the truth, nrkii
shoot, why did I agree to let a window salesman come to my house tonight????
isn't it sad that a Masters degree isn't valued these days? Or is it just the area of study thathat is the problem?
maybe he will be hot, nrkii
not even PhDs really help a lot of the time
Nef, English Masters Degree is not worth anything, but a Masters in something more practical is
ooh, Trif, good point
and now that I'm employed, I can go back on the dating market
whoo hoo!
open the door in something provocative!
ummmmm, yeah, no....
Always thinking, aren't you?

hi stidmama - how are you?
hi stid
j'ai fatigue... mais, il fait pas de pluie (so I am happy) LOL that was for Une. I am tired, but happy because it's not raining.
how's the grid?
I have some extra time today to play!
je suis desolee que vous aves fatigue, stid
pugmama, who just finished, called it "beastly"
hi babblers, and hi stid, french teacher steps in with a red pencil - je suis fatiguée (Trif, too!)
oh, don't be desolee... it's a good tired.
hello JBV! *laughing at red pencil*
I don't like it today- how can I like a puzzle that immediately declares me a wanton female?
sorry, hope you don't mind - just hurt my ears a little
and I don't know how to make an acute, or a grave, for that matter, and can only hope a circonflex would be okay as a hat following a vowel?
ah, oui - je suis fatigue, j'ai faim....
there are codes stid, just google ascii codes for accents
they don't work on my computer JBV
and a grumpy wanton female, at that, kaplan!
otherwise, je suis fatigEe, mais je n'suis triste. (I think)
oh oh, I made JBV sad. *triste mama look*
no, sorry, i was just fooling around with french accent codes and guess what? I can't figure them out either, I have the Spanish ones memorized, but there's no accent grave in Spanish
*grin* okay! *serves MJCLs and choclits*
for the e aigu, I use é ALT +233
e
aigu = acute?
sorry again it's ALT +0233
mais oui
okay! there's a new word! :-D
"grrr" doesn't count, but it ought to. if psst does, especially! brb phone
this grid is getting very poopy. 39 left, and gridlock
hm. *bright idea* cure for poopy grid... *plants tulips and daffodils in poop and add a garden gnome*
hey, stid, reading back thru chog LOL
down to 81 and slowing faster than my eyesight is fading. going to take a break and attempt to figure out stidkid's math assignment
sigh. gotta go. Tertiare needs someone to play with her. She is just the most pathetic little creature on earth when she has a cold this bad - runny eyes, runny nose, runny face, sad soul...poor little mite!
2 big fat buds on my biggest amaryllis so I put it outside to benefit from the monsoon!
bye stidmama
bye Trif - hope tertiare feels better

thanks lbd. what's new with you?
nada. i live a rather boring life. *sigh*
my life is basically filled with fu4.13
boring can be a good thing - consistency. reliability. all good
reliably consistently boring. that's me!
I think you are very interesting. so there.
(((TRIF)))
this was a truly monkey grid for me.
so, how does one get the list pray tell....
have you finished, then?
yes. i'm here to clue and chat for about a half hour, then i'll be back at 9. babble time
what exactly is the list?

tc kje
st7?
rhymes with the word TO just asked for, 67
ty dawg
st7, st + bar*****, a hair clip.
Did kje get a puppy?
dunno, torg. i noticed that tijani had puppies in his profile too.
okay, this is going to sound terrible, but ugh - they had a big profile in the paper this week on a local woman who has broken in to local tv. The article went on and on about how professional she is, how she was the great mom, who has found her second career as a tv personality, blah blah gush gush. I know her - she is a ridiculously lame mother, who has turfed her kids on others for YEARS and barely pays them a minute's notice. her son is two seconds away from juvvy, and her daughter is a horrible bully who's every misdeed is a cry for attention. I about wanted to spit UP when I read the piece.
what the hell is enable dictionary ? it must have some unheard of words in it !
ty
wont it be interesting how life will be reported when the kids go over the edge?
evening all
thank you. feel better for venting. It does make you wonder, just what all goes on behind the doors of many "successful" people.
hi jes! suda, it's an online scrabble dictionary. unheard of and unused words!
evening jes
hi jes.
hi red.
Hi all. Dropping in to find the last of the unused, unheard and unloved words.
hi wht!
hi wht and to and all...
hi wht
I got back on about 20 minutes ago, and have found a whopping 4 words in that time. whhooooo
Probably has a friend on the paper and pitched herself to them ..
I am being on task and not chatty and haven't gotten too many words here either.
hi stidgmere.
ibdawger-Well I better check it out ! thanks
she looks great on paper.
Hi red turtle head. How are you this fine evening?
who doesn't? if she is in loal tv she is being paid as a talent, not a mensch
hi wht! hi Stidgmere
I
I'm well, very tired...
Hi ibdaw . . . I am floundering amoungst the su and te words. Just starting so it is okay to be monkeying.
Tired, that is going around. I had a cough thing the past few days. Not bad in the day but it comes at night.
just let the monkeys roam and you'll be surprised at how many words will come up
Are you running your mom around the town, Red?
That is so true, monkeys are my friends.
I am biased about moms like her, and I am showing it. I have seen it just one too many times - really, really rich people who spend tons of money to travel to a far away country to adopt kids, bring them home and only see them once a year, for the christmas card sitting. it just frosts me no end.
Last day, we are both very tired.
ahhh, time to just relax and chill then, red.
getting off my soap box now, sorry!
she is going home tomorro...I think it was a good visit. and I go back to work on Monday.
still in a twitch about it, obviously. but hey - who am I to tell anyone how to live....
Trif, that's sad to think that's become standard instead of an atrocity in modern times.
do you have a personal relatioship with thos echildren so are concerned for their welfare?
Tri, it is amazing how people act in this world. We just have to do the best we can and it is okay to vent about people who do not share our values.
A clue for the se6,18 please.
I had one of them in church school, and did have to report some of the things he told me to the superintendent, as they were quite alarming, and involved the welfare of another. She reported it to the pastor, who took it from there. parents laughed it off, "he has so much imagination!" and never took what the pastor said as truth. the PASTOR, people! Last year their daughter hit mine across the face with a book in class, and I called the school and raised holy hell. secondo was terrified that I had just made it worse, but it turned out to be for the best, as SIX other girls came forward to also say they were being bullied as well, and FINALLY the school put a stop to it.
se + double consonant + alien dude, wht
evening all
hello pini!
ty lbd
time to go. night everyone.

Hello everyone. Hope the grid is treating you all well.

if y'all would talk a little slower I just MIGHT be able to grab a clue! LOL
Hi jmc
hi Pini
hi pini :-P
hello jmc!
hi buddies
I see that a Star Trek character made it into the grid today.
even in to a word
Now if only I knew all of the characters!
It is su4
danke!
Hey, guys, I didn't mean you had to stop talking!!!!
(I've just never seen the chog move that fast! I mean it was moving a whole screen shot and then some at one time!)
* going to sulk in the corner *
sometimes when i first open my computer my chog catches up for the day
sometimes people need to vent here Pini. I have done it too sometimes but today I feel great. My supervisor gave me the afternoon off so I came home and had a nap!
wow, that is great bugsaw! they must really be happy with your work!
Oh, gosh, jmc...didn't think of that!
Bugs, I don't mind the vents - I have my moments, too - I guess I was just a bit surprised! no worries!
we had an exciting post earlier, believe me! somebody posted their entire list in here, by accident!
Partly that Trif but mostly it was because my kid was absent and things have not been easy with him. I even got paid!
well, shoot...I seem to have missed the "good" stuff! LOL
even better - to get paid for time off!
occasionally i don't figure it out right away and i comment on something that was said hours before
hurray for pay!
Hehe, I can see it in the Archives. It was fuquayvarina.
Oh that poor person Trif. They are probably keeping themselves up with embarrasment
i did that once trif! boy was i embarrassed
I am always terrified I would do that!
Oh my gosh I just got all the su words! I was thinking I didn't even know any words that began su. Then I just in one huge wave did them all!
wtg stid!
I need 4 more su's
I had the same experience stidgmere!
So, now I can go watch the news. Only it is so uncivil I don't know if I want to listen to these people who are highly paid and highly obnoxious.
Pini -i'd give you some of mine but i need all of them :)
they all build on the root of the su5 PIni
Yeah, the su's come in a big su5.
Whoo whoo bugsaw isn't it amazing to whack off a whole series at one blow!
good one wht
I know what you mean, bo
Do have fun this evening. I shall try to do the same.

oh yes stid!

Ans I shou8ld probably retire almost as soon as I signed in, 'cos I don't often give easy clues and rarely give spelled out clues.

It feels good to finish the grid, wish I had more energy.
I can clue once or twice before I go... anyone need something?
Ah! Some clues I gav made sense.

pffffffffffffffft
Imma stayin' ;)
I also had to go back into a forum of peoplee I've known n the next for at leat 7 years, some of whom I've met. I had told them how I really feltt about my Stepdaughter situation and had been branded a child hater by some and told I should have guessed (after nearly years together) that the situation that has arisen, re step, her Mum and the paedo her Mum has decided to put before her own daughter, is a scenariio I should have foreseen.
ty une
te6 18 please
ack jac, that's rough
Nearly 7 years, tht should have read.

final jeopardy category will be comic strip characters, this should be interesting. can you tell I am highly distracted this evening?
te + double consonant + ** is a weird word.
I am totally not ready for tomorrow... *sigh*
but it's friday, stid!
I still need to transcribe my notes from today. *grumble*
i am jealous i had to be at a meeting tonight and missed celebrity jeopardy
first te6/18?
ty lbd now the 3rd one
stid - it is and it's traumatised me. I don't think I'll be going back ther to release my true feelings. Problem with doing it on Bable is that it's free internet. I think I must go back to my old rule of never saying anything about much of anything on the internet.
tomorrow is a long day for me LBD. however, this weekend I DON'T have to judge or drive or ... go anywhere. that will be nice.
let's just say sajak is not just a pretty face! LOL
first te6.18 is one after niner
oh dear jac did they find it on babble some how?
thx lbd ;)
3rd te is first four letters of the material + some like ** hot

night night, stiddy, sweet dreams

open forums like babble are not secure places to bear your heart, jac. I'm sorry you've been hurt by your openness.

go ooddle!
go oodle go
ok bbye
stay oodle stay, but git'r dun!
nononono, you finishe the grid, oodle!
I am jokling
oodle, you remind me of my uncle. he's very literal and i have to be careful in what i say to him.
jmc - you can find any post on Babble chat y just typing your own net nick into the earch bar. Nothing is private on here. The foruum I was talking about is a private one and they 'found out' because I finally chose to tell them. The reception to my inner feelings was somewhat mixed, and onee of the people who goes on there with the most problems and seems to have the family from hell, told me I should have seen it coming, should nver have got involved with a man who had kids if I didn't want it, virtually told me to grow up and accussed me of being a child hater.
oh I know what you mean I am JOKLING
true it is open here and we all support you rather than blame you
i know you're joking, oodle. we're just teasing you back! ;-)
that's one person I sure wouldn't be listening to, jac!
4
you may occasionally get p***ed with me but there is no way that you are a child hater
cmon, oodle, i gotta go to bed here shortly!
I never used to belive, when we were all in the old forum that people actually changed their posts after you'd replied to them. However, I've seen this happen in that forum now and feel no respect at all for many of the people in there. Some still have integrity.
te6 24 please
If knowing what the future would bring us, I'm sure a lot of us would make numerous different choices...but that's what living life is all about...making choices, learning from what you're faced with, and moving forward
i saw that as possible in FB and thought it was weird
3
gu7/40?
te + *** to remember that time in september...+ letter before M
lbd - it wasn't Babble that did that top me.
I'm quite aware Bab chog isn't closed, btw.

te6=24 te + when you *** very hard + consonant before the letter M
i'm glad it wasn't anyone from babble, jac.

bbye lbd
ty
I can only imagine what some may go through around here and can empathize with others based on my own experiences, but I would never even thing to condemn someone else for their actions/choices/etc. That's just not my play - I'm sorry someone has done that to you, jac.
poof
bye lbd

What's the last post she made to me on the private forum? 'You're pissing me off now! READ IT AGAIN Well, I did read it again, but it had been changed.

Goodbye oodleberry!I'll see you tomorrow in the chat
pini - didn't you mean to say I'll come out with fklattened bosoms that I will fall and trip over for the next couple of weeks? Not even thinking of the AARGH! factor?
This isn't my first mammogram, you know.
If men m wo designed the breast test, had to have their balls examined, what's the bet they wouldn't be first flattened and theen slammed sideways?
* peeking back * I was trying to keep your chin up, jac!! ...and I agree on the man-thing...if they only knew what it felt like!!!!!
Makes not yet again to self to change duff keyboard later.
Pini - it's my bosoms that re in need of keeping pert, not my chin, today.
