I'm from NY - snow is not a problem - BUT - they don't even have plows here! They are going to put a mix of salt and sand on the roads. They were going to use water and salt and since we are supposed to get rain too decided to use the sand.....Doesn't the salt still mely first??

no, we are sufficiently far down the hill for the boar not to come down, but they disrupt the garden of one of my friends. Oh, and there are foxes in the field across the way, but I've never seen one, just smelled them. The bats visit Ruby and me in the spring when we sit outside at dusk and are very lovely, circling us and looking like small black butterflies

on sunday my fiancee woke up and was in horrid pain with his back. I was going to a new church to visit and he said for me to pray for a miracle for him. I went to church and prayed and after the service a man walked up to me and said he is a chiropractor and would see him at 2:30 that day, A SUNDAY! since then my financee has been walking much more comfortable. I know prayer works!

No! Female bus drivers are the worst. They are even more intimidating and angry than the men. I think it comes from the fact that they have accepted they can no longer appear to be feminine when stuck behind the wheel of a big steel contraption, and therefore make it their sole raison d'etre to be as masculine, tattoo'd, and aggressive as possible without a sex change.
it has been a long time since I have been on a bus.
It's quite fun in the town because we have a large coachworks near one of the villages. They build buses for all sorts of places and test drive them through the town, so you can see a London bus and then an Edinburgh bus.
There was a period when we had bendy buses bound for Hong Kong.

well with school not doing well for me, not having local friends and looking for a job for a year and not being able to land one... I have to work on my self esteme which is why I am going tues
when i first came to canada, before i received a work visa, i volunteered ... lots of networking opportunities in volunteering that may lead to employment
then, once i received a work visa, i was confused about where exactly i would fit ... didn't know if i could work in my chosen field, so i worked at tim horton's for almost 1.5 yrs before i learned i could, not only work at a job similar to my old one, but progress up the ladder pretty quickly

jilli, just do it under a doctors' supervision and you should be okay. It's better (in my experience, anyway) to carry around an extra 5 or 10 lbs than trying to get down to a 25 y/o's "normal" weight. I've seen too many older people end up with illnesses from that
And that includes some dear family members who never got better after illnesses

jilli i agree with you...he isn't into these drastic weird diets...has some nice ideas...one is to eat from a plate no larger than 9"...I know in the USA we are so spoiled and eat like little piggys and too much protein, huge servings etc...he's interesting on many health subjects

I have a Mac-mini, and the mouse is a cordless Logitech...the prob started almost a year ago, after a year of use...I've replaced the batteries, changed USB ports for the receiver. etc. re-aligned the set, when I move left to right it goes up and down, sometimes..I've disassembled to clean...but Logitech is keen on selling me a new one...
